AFTER PLACING VEHICLE INTO PARK AND WITHOUT ANY INDICATION VEHICLE JUMPED OUT OF GEAR AN RAN INTO CONSUMER'S HOME. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
ENGINE CHECK LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. WHEN I CONTACTED BIRD-KULGEN FORD, WES TOLD ME IT WAS AN EMMISSION PROBLEM AND A COMPUTER CHECK WOULD NEED TO BE DONE. IT WAS AND THE COMPUTER COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM... NOW THEY ARE IN TRIAL AND ERROR AND LABOR INTENSIVE TIME...JUST BEGAN TODAY BUT OTHERS MAY BE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, SO I WROTE TO YOU.*AK
EXTREME FISH TAILING, LOSS OF TRACTION IN ANY TYPE OF WET CONDITION!! DT
THE OWNER NOTICED A BURNING SMELL ENTERING THE COMPARTMENT. THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE HAS A CYLINDER FAILING CAUSING A LEAKAGE OF OIL ONTO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. THE OWNER IS AWARE THAT THE MANUFACTURE HAS (3) TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS THE INDICATE THIS TYPE OF FAILURE. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. TS
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH IN A HEAD ON COLLISION NONE OF THE FRONTAL AIRBAGS DEPLOYED UPON VEHICLE IMPACT. NO POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. PLEASE PROVIDE MORE DETAILS. TS
DEALER REPLACED ALL RECALLED TIRES INCLUDING SPARE. A FEW MONTHS LATER I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY INTO MY DRIVEWAY AND FELT THE VEHICLE "JUMP UP" AND MOVE TO THE RIGHT. I LOOKED BACK AND THE SPARE TIRE HAD FALLEN OUT FROM UNDER IT. THE TIRE WAS BRAND NEW BUT HAD RUB MARKS ALL THE WAY AROUND LIKE IT HAD BEEN SPINNING. THE CABLE HOLDING IT WAS SLICED STRAIGHT ACROSS. I'M ASSUMING THE TIRE WASN'T TIGHT AND IT HAD SPUN UNTIL IT SNAPPED THE CABLE. THIS WAS NOT REPORTED. MY HUSBAND LOWERED THE CABLE AND PUT ANOTHER CLAMP TO HOLD IT ON. THE SPARE NEEDS TO BE SECURELY TIGHTENED. I TRADED THIS VEHICLE IN FOR A 2002 F150. DT
THE REAR BRAKES SEIZED, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE NOT MOVE.*JB
IN NINE MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP THE CONSUMER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE HIGH TENSIONER, THE OUTER STEERING TIE ROD ENDS, WHICH HAD FELL APART WHILE DRIVING, THE BRAKE SYSTEM, AND THE INNER TIE ROD ENDS. SCC *JB

THE BLEND DOOR WHICH REGULATED THE HOT AND COLD AIR PASSAGE WAS DEFECTIVE. WHEN THE HEAT WAS ON, COLD AIR BLEW OUT AND THE CONSUMER HAD TO TURN THE HEATER ON AND OFF. WHEN THE CONSUMER PRESSED THE GAS, THE BLEND DOOR SHUT AND HEAT BLEW OUT. *JB
BOTH SIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS WITH THE TURN SIGNAL ARE TURNING BLACK. IN CERTAIN SPOTS THERE IS NO REFLECTION. AT NIGHT THE VISIBILITY IS VERY POOR. *AK
WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS HAD BLACK LINES AND SPECKS IN THEM. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT ALL THE VEHICLES WERE LIKE THAT. NOW, SOME YEARS LATER, THE BLACK FILM ON THE BACK OF THE GLASS STARTED WRINKLING AND THE BLACK SPECKS BECAME WORSE. THIS DEFECT HAS CAUSED POOR VISIBILITY. *AK *PH *NLM
THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS ON BOTH SIDES ARE TURNING BLACK. CONSUMER CAN BARELY SEE OUT OF THEM. A TECHNICAL ADVISEMENT WAS ISSUED, #00-18-09, BY FORD IN REFERENCE TO DELAMINATION OF SIGNAL MIRRORS. *AK *TS *NLM
IN THE ROW BEHIND THE FRONT SEAT MIDDLE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR IS IN THE LOCK MODE AND WILL NOT RETRACT. DEALER INSISTS THAT RETRACTOR HAS TO BE REPLACED TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. AK
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME DEFECT WITH IT'S ELECTRONIC FUNCTION AS STATED IN RECALL 00V 072 000. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK *SCC *JB
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE SPARKS PLUGS BLEW OUT CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *PH
WHILE WASHING THE VEHICLE THE BACK WINDOW BLEW OUT FOR NO APPARENT REASON. *AK
THE LOWER BALL JOINT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE SNAPPED IN HALF WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT THE VEHICLE COLLAPSED TO THE GROUND. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE BALL JOINTS. *NM
WHILE DRIVING DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO SEE FROM THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE MIRRORS. THIS CAUSED POOR VISIBILITY TO THE DRIVER. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT BOTH MIRRORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
