6 TIMES MY 2001 XLT EXPEDITION HAS TRIED TO TAKE OFF WITH THE BRAKE APPLIED. THE SPEED AND RPM GAUGE WOULD SHOW HIGH OUTPUT. AT THE SAME TIME THE EXPEDITION WOULD LUNGE FORWARD. *TS *NLM *DIMSII IVOQ ENTRY POSTED AFTER 12-12-02 CUT OVER TO ARTEMIS***765666
WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUTDOWN. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO DEALER FIVE TIMES, AND CAUSE CAN NOT BE DETERMINED. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
BECAUSE OF CONSUMERS LARGE GIRTH, CONSUMER NEEDS TO UTILIZE A SEAT BELT EXTENDER. CONSUMER HAS EXPERIENCED CONTINUOUS DIFFICULTY GETTING THE BUCKLE ON THE SEAT BELT EXTENSION TO STAY LATCHED INTO THE FIXED BUCKLE RECEPTOR MOUNTED IN THE VEHICLE. THE BUCKLE ON THE BELT ITSELF, DOES STAY LATCHED TO THE SEAT BELT EXTENSION. IT TAKES REPEATED ATTEMPTS BEFORE IT LATCHES. CONSUMER WAS NOTIFIED OF A RECALL REGARDING THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE. AS INSTRUCTED CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HAVE THE SEAT BELT CHECKED. NO DEFECT WAS FOUND AT THAT TIME, BUT THE CHECK WAS DONE WITHOUT THE SEAT BELT EXTENSION. CONSUMER BELIEVES THIS SITUATION TO BE A POTENTIALLY SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM. *JG
CONSUMER STATES THAT DURING A VEHICLE ACCIDENT THE FRONT SEAT BELTS UNLOCK CAUSING INJURIES TO THE CONSUMER. DEALER WILL BE NOTIFIED. TS
THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING UNIT HAS BEEN BLOWING WHITE FLAKES INTO THE FACE OF THE DRIVER AND OTHER PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE. SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE HAD TO QUICKLY GET OFF THE HIGHWAY, TO CLEAR MY EYES OF THE FLAKES. SEVERAL TIME COMING CLOSE TO RUNNING INTO ON COMING TRAFFIC. FORD REP STATES THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, KEEP BRINGING IT IN. I HAVE BEEN BACK TO SERVICE ABOUT ONCE A WEEK FOR THIS. PREVIOUS SERVICE ADVISOR STATED,PUT YOUR WINDOWS DOWN AND DONT USE THE A/C SYSTEM. I FOUND ON THE WEB A TSB ON THIS PROBLEM. THERE MUST BE OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM IN 97-02 F-150/EXPEDITIONS. FORD HAS ALREADY REPLACED MY SYSTEM ONCE TO NO AVAIL. HELP. DT
WHITE FLAKES BLOWS OUT OF AIR CONDITIONER WHEN IN USE.
(NHTSA RECALL# 02T012000) CONTINENTAL TIRE TOLD THE CONSUMER THAT THE TIRES ON THE VEHICLE WERE NOT A PART OF THE RECALL. THEY ALSO SAID THAT THE NUMBERS DIDN'T MATCH, THEREFORE THE SERVICE WAS DECLINED. THE CONSUMER CALLED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL DID IN FACT INCLUDE HER VEHICLE'S TIRES AND THAT CONTINENTAL TIRES SHOULD HAVE REIMBURSED HER. TS SCC

THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON 10/25/02 FROM CONTINENTAL WHICH STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE CONTINENTAL TIRES GENERAL GRABBER AW P275/60R17. THE CONSUMER HAS NOT RECEIVED REPLACEMENT TIRES BECAUSE THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER. RECALL #02T012000. *NLM

GAS TANK IS INVERTING ITSELF. WHEN THE GAS TANK GETS TO 1/4 THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF LIKE THERE IS NO GAS IN THE TANK. GAS TANK AND ITS COMPONENTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE BY THE DEALER. *AK

SEAT BELT WILL NOT STAY LOCKED IN THE REAR. THE PASSENGERS ARE NOT PROPERLY RESTRAINED. *AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A SEAT BELT PROBLEM. THE DASH LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AS IF VEHICLE WAS ABOUT TO START, HOWEVER NOT VEHICLE WOULD NOT START.*AK
CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH SEAT BELTS. SEAT BELTS WILL NOT LOCK PROPERLY. MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED AT THE TIME OF THIS CALL. *AK SEAT BELTS STARTED COMING UNLATCHED WHILE DRIVING. AT FIRST, CONSUMER THOUGHT SHE DIDN'T LATCH IT PROPERLY. IT CONTINUED TO HAPPEN MORE OFTEN OVER THE NEXT TWO MONTHS. SHE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THEY STATED SHE HAD THE VEHICLE TOO LONG TO BE COVERED. CONSUMER LEARNED OF A RECALL FOR HER VEHICLE BUT HER VIN WASN'T INCLUDED. CONSUMER REPLACED THE SEAT BELT AND THE SECOND SEAT RIGHT PASSENGER BELT ALSO. *PH
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH THE WHEEL BEARINGS. WHEN THE WHEEL WAS REMOVED, THE SPINDLE HAD NO THREADS AND WAS PRACTICALLY WORN AWAY. ROTORS AND SPINDLE WERE REPLACED. PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. JB *MR
