THIS HAS OCCURRED A THREE TIMES IN LAST MONTH...FIRST BEING IN JULY. I PARK MY VEHICLE, TURN IGNITION OFF AND PULL OUT KEY AND THE AIR CONDITIONER IS STILL BLOWING AND RADIO IS STILL GOING FOR A COUPLE SECONDS AFTER KEY IS PULLED OUT...ONLY A COUPLE SECONDS AND IMMEDIATELY SHUTS ITSELF OFF. THIS IS DEFINITELY AN ELECTRICAL OR IGNITION ISSUE.I DO KNOW RADIO WILL STAY ON UNTIL DOOR OPENED, THATS A FEATURE OF THE VEHICLE, BUT THIS IS DIFFERENT, AIR STAYS BLOWING?? NOT SURE IF THIS IS RELATED TO ABOVE ISSUE BUT ALSO HAVING AN PROBLEM WITH ELECTRICAL(?) UNDER THE HOOD, AT TIMES THE VEHICLE WHILE SITTING AT A LIGHT OR DRIVE THRU TRIES TO DIE SO MUCH SO THAT YOU CAN SEE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS TRYING TO GO OUT AS THE CAR ATTEMPTS TO DIE. I HAVE PUT A BRAND NEW BATTERY IN A COUPLE MONTHS AGO BUT ITS NOT THAT, ITS A WEIRD ISSUE LIKE WHILE HOLDING BRAKE DOWN, IT JUST ATTEMPTS TO DIE AND THIS IS ONLY AT TIMES, NOT EVERY TIME. WHEN ON GAS, NEVER AN ISSUE AT ALL. CAR RUNS GREAT BUT SEEMS TO HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM SOMEWHERE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND TAKEN TO A DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC; HOWEVER, THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ALTERNATOR, BATTERY, TRANSMISSION, FUEL PUMP, AND FUEL BYPASS SWITCH WERE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,000.
EXPERIENCED A NEAR COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE DUE TO SUDDEN LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME AS THE INCIDENT OCCURRED ON AN INTERSTATE WITHIN A MILE OF MY RESIDENCE. CAVALIER FORD AT CHESAPEAKE SQ. HAD JUST DONE "THE WORKS" PACKAGE OIL CHANGE JUST 2 HOURS EARLIER AND REPORTED THAT BRAKE LINES WERE CHECKED AND EVERYTHING WAS "GREEN." I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO CAVALIER FORD AND THE SERVICE MANAGER REPORTED TO ME THAT MY BRAKE LINE WAS RUSTED THROUGH NEAR THE FRONT AXLE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN KEPT AND MAINTAINED IN CHESAPEAKE, VA AND I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. THE SERVICE DESK WAS VERY SURPRISED BECAUSE THERE IS LITTLE ROAD SALT CONDITIONS IN THIS AREA DURING WINTER.
THE FRAME IS RUSTING. SEE PHOTOS. THE BODY IS RUSTING AWAY ALSO THE BRAKE LINES. THE ENTIRE VEHICLE IS RUSTING AWAY. WHY HAS THIS 2004 FORD NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL FOR RUST.
OUR 2004 FORD EXPEDITION EDDIE BAUER SUDDENLY TURNS OFF WHILE WE ARE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. IN A YEAR'S TIME, IT HAS TURNED OFF FOUR OR MORE TIMES. MOST OF THOSE TIMES, WE WERE TRAVELING AT SPEEDS OF ABOUT 60MPH. ALL OF THE POWER SHUTS OFF, STEERING AND BRAKES INCLUDED. WE TURN THE KEY OFF AND IT DOES RESTART. LUCKILY WE HAVE NOT BEEN IN ANY TERRIBLE ACCIDENTS!
I HAVE A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION WHICH RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH MORE FREQUENCY. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO TWO MECHANICS WHO TESTED AND ATTEMPTED TO DIAGNOSE HOWEVER THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. UPON READING AND RESEARCHING ONLINE, THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE POSTS ABOUT THIS BEING A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE FORD EXPEDITION LINE. I CONTACTED FORD AND EXPLAINED OF THIS MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND THEY ONLY ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE HAS NO RECALL AND THEY COLLECTED MY INFORMATION TO PROVIDE TO NHTSA. MY SON USES THIS VEHICLE FOR SCHOOL AND THE VEHICLE HAS A SAFETY CONCERN WHICH CAN NOT BE DIAGNOSED BY CERTIFIED MECHANICS AND FORD HAS TAKEN IS NOT TAKEN ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR ATTEMPTED TO RECTIFY. I HOPE SOMEONE DOES NOT HAVE TO DIE DUE TO THIS GROSS NEGLIGENCE, ESPECIALLY MY SON. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON A 3 LANE HIGHWAY WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 65, I BEGAN MY TRANSITION TO THE RIGHT LANE TO EXIT. WE WERE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 60MPH. AS I BEGAN TO CHANGE LANES THE VEHICLE NOTICEABLEY BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THE CRUISE CONTROL HAD BEEN ACTIVATED, BUT WHEN J ATTEMPTED TO STOP, THE CAR KEPT TRYING TO ACCELERATE. AS I ENTERED THE EXIT RAMP THE CAR DID NOT SLOW DOWN THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE AND THE BRAKES DID NOT FEEL SURE. AS I WAS ABLE TO COME TO A SAFE ROLL, I PLACED THE CAR I TO NEUTRAL AT WHICH TIME THE CAR ACCELERATED VIOLENTLY. I FELT FOR THE GAS PEDAL WHICH SEEMED TO TO DEPRESSED AS IF THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ON. HOWEVER, I WAS STOPPED. THE ENGINE DID FINALLY SLOW TO WITHIN NORMAL RPM. I WAS SOMEWHAT CONVINCED THAT SOMETHING MAY HAVE BEEN STUCK, BUT SOON REALIZED THAT THE GAS PEDAL IS HINGED FROM ABOVE AND NOT INTO THE FLOOR, NOR WAS THERE ANYTHING ON THE FLOOR. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AS THE ADVANCE TRAC STABILITY ENHANCEMENT SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ADVANCE TRAC FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 178,000.
THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SHUTTING DOWN RANDOMLY (HIGHWAY, STREETS, STOPS, ETC) AND IT IS VERY MUCH A SAFETY SITUATION AT HIGH SPEED ON THE FREEWAY SINCE THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP AND BRAKES DO NOT WORK. I'VE TAKEN IT TO TWO DIFFERENT PLACES FOR DIAGNOSIS INCLUDING THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THE VEHICLE IS 10-11 YEARS OLD BUT THE INABILITY FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM IS REALLY FRUSTRATING. FROM READING COMPLAINTS, THERE ARE OTHERS THAT SOUND SIMILAR AND APPEARS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE VEHICLE'S FUSE RELAY BOX.

THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 198,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART, BUT THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS AND THE ECU NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
I WAS PULLING OFF FROM A STOP SIGN AND BEFORE I GOT ACROSS THE INTERSECTION MY CAR MAKE A POP AND THEN THE ENGINE SOUNDED LIKE IT BLEW. I PULLED OVER AND A SPARK PLUG POPPED OUT OF THE HEAD CAUSING A SMALL FIRE THAT MELTED HOSES. ESTIMATED DAMAGE IS A MINIMUM OF 1500 FOR JUST THIS PLUG BUT I WAS TOLD THE OTHERS WOULD FOLLOW SUIT. READING ON THE INTERNET THIS SEEMS TO BE A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THE FORD 5.4 TRITON MOTORS. IF I WAS NOT ABLE TO STAY CALM AND STEER MY VEHICLE CORRECTLY THIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AS IF IT HAD STALLED, AND AS I STATED BEFORE THERE WAS A SMALL FIRE WHEN I LIFTED THE HOOD TO SEE WHAT HAD HAPPENED. *TR

4 SEPARATE TIMES MY 2004 EXPEDITION HAS DIED WHILE RUNNING DOWN THE ROAD, ONE TIME IT DIED IN A VERY DANGEROUS SPOT (BLIND S-CURVE WITH NO SHOULDER). IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO RESTART AFTER IT HAS COOLED DOWN AFTER A WHILE. THIS LAST TIME WE TRIED MULTIPLE THINGS TO GET IT RUNNING BECAUSE IT WAS STUCK AT A BUSY INTERSECTION AND IT WAS OVER 100 DEGREES OUTSIDE, BUT NOTHING WE DID HELPED. I ENDED UP GETTING IT TOWED TO A SHOP WHO TOLD US IT NEEDED A NEW FUEL PUMP ($1100). WE DECIDED TO TAKE IT HOME, AND THANK GOODNESS WE DID. AFTER CHARGING THE BATTERY IT STARTED RIGHT UP. WE HAVE RESEARCH THIS PROBLEM AND IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN TO MANY EXPEDITIONS AND FORD PICKUPS. IT LOOKS LIKE THIS HAS CAUSED MANY PEOPLE A LOT OF MONEY AND HAS LEFT THEM STRANDED MANY TIMES. FROM OUR RESEARCH IT IS PROBABLY THE FUEL PUMP RELAY (R303) OR THE FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE (IF IT HAS ONE). UNFORTUNATELY OUR EXP. HAS THE RELAY INSTEAD OF THE MODULE MAKING IT HARDER TO REPLACE. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THEIR HASN'T BEEN A RECALL ON THE RELAY OR MODULE!!! I AM VERY THANKFUL MY CHILDREN WEREN'T WITH ME WHEN I WAS LEFT STRANDED WITH THE TEMP ABOVE 100 DEGREES OUT. SOMETHING NEEDS TO GET DONE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT!
WHILE SLOWLY BRAKING TO A STOP BEHIND TRAFFIC STOPPED FOR A RED LIGHT, THE ENGINE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WITH MY RIGHT FOOT STILL ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I PRESSED HARDER ON THE BRAKE AND WHEN I REALIZED THE ENGINE WAS STILL REVVING (AT OVER 3,000 RPM), I PUT THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL AND NOTICED THE ENGINE SPEED ERRATICALLY BOUNCING UP AND DOWN IN ROUGHLY THE 2500 TO 3500 RPM RANGE. I STILL HAD MY RIGHT FOOT FIRMLY PRESSED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I FINALLY SHUT THE IGNITION OFF AND PUT THE TRANSMISSION INTO PARK. I WAITED A A FEW SECONDS AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. THIS ENTIRE TIME I NEVER LIFTED MY RIGHT FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE ENGINE STARTED AND IDLED AT A NORMAL 600 RPM OR SO. I CAREFULLY PUT IT INTO DRIVE SO I COULD GET OUT OF TRAFFIC. AT EACH SUBSEQUENT STOP, I WOULD PUT THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL JUST IN CASE OF ANOTHER INCIDENT. I PROMPTLY DROVE STRAIGHT HOME WHICH FORTUNATELY WAS ONLY 2 MILES AWAY. I CHECKED THE FLOOR MAT TO SEE IF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL COULD HAVE GOTTEN STUCK BUT THERE WAS PLENTY OF CLEARANCE. THE FLOOR MAT IS ANCHORED TO THE FLOOR SO DOESN'T MOVE. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO THIS OR ANY OTHER VEHICLE I'VE OWNED OR DRIVEN. *TR
VEHICLE HAD A SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION EVENT WHICH NEARLY RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS WAS A VERY NERVE RACKING EXPERIENCE AND I HAD DIFFICULTY STOPPING THE VEHICLE (DESPITE APPLYING FULL BRAKES) AS THE RPM CONTINUED TO INCREASE TO APPROX. 5000. ON STOPPING THE VEHICLE I MANAGED TO PLACE IT IN NEUTRAL AND THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV EXCESSIVELY. I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WHO CONFIRMED A HIGH REV PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL AND RECOMMENDED A "THROTTLE BODY" REPLACEMENT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND SMOKE EMITTED FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE VEHICLE THEN BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN.
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING DOWN A COUNTY ROAD AT AROUND 9:00 PM IN OUR 2004 EDDIE BAUER EDITION EXPEDITION ,FROM DPS IT WAS TOLD HE COULD HAVE BEEN GOING AT A RATE OF UP TO 100 MPH WHEN HE REACHED A CURVE HE MISSED IT AND TRIED TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD BUT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHICH FLIPPED MULTIPLE TIMES ,THE ONLY AIRBAGS THAT DEPLOYED WERE THE SIDE AIRBAGS EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS VERY SERIOUS FRONT END DAMAGE THE FRONTAL DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY ,WHICH COULD HAVE SAVED HIS LIFE. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO INDICATED THAT THE RADIATOR MOUNTS DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO CONFIRMED THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
WAS DRIVING MY SUV AND WAS COMING CLOSE TO MY TURN OFF LET OFF THE GAS AND MY VEHICLE CUT OFF HAD TO STEER TO SIDE OF THE ROAD. HAD FUEL PUMP REPLACED WAS DRIVING THE NEXT DAY AFTER PUMP WAS REPLACED STOPPED STILL AND THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING AND CUT OFF. IT STARTED UP ABOUT TEN MINUTES LATER. THE NEXT TIME WAS RIDING DOWN THE ROAD GOING 55 AND MY SUV JUST SHUT DOWN I VEERED IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WAS ABLE TO START IT TRIED TO HEAD HOME VEHICLE SHUT DOWN A GOOD 5 MILES AND WAS ABLE TO START AGAIN AFTER WAITING THIS HAPPENED AGAIN 4 MORE TIMES IN THE SAME NITE BEFORE MY VEHICLE DIDN'T START ANYMORE THAT WAS MARCH 31,2014 IT LEFT ME STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH MY THREE CHILDREN. ELEVEN DAYS LATER MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT STARTING AND DIAGNOSTIC TEST IS NOT SHOWING ANYTHING WRONG! *JS
I WAS DRIVING UP TO A TRAFFIC LIGHT, IN MY 2004 EXPEDITION. COMING TO A STOP. A GOOD THING, I WAS NOT DRIVING TO FAST, OR HAD TO MAKE A SUDDEN STOP QUICKLY. THERE WAS NOT A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME ,THANKS TO GOD! HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES, AND THE PEDAL WENT DOWN TO THE FLOORBOARD. NOW I HAVE NO BRAKES AT ALL. THE INDICATED LIGHTS, FOR BRAKE FLUID CAME ON. SO, I STOP TO REFILL BRAKE FLUID. THERE, I NOTICE A BUSTED BRAKE LINE. I HAVE ONLY SEEING THIS IN THE MOVIES, I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR 30 NOW. I COULD HAVE LOST MY LIFE, OR TAKEN SOMEONE ELSE LIFE. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE. I HAVE SEEING, OTHERS WITH SOME OF THE SAME PROBLEM, WITH THE 2004 EXPEDITION. BUT THERE NO RECALLS, AND I KNOW FORD MOTOR HAVE HEARD OF THIS, AND OTHERS TOO, THAT IS THE PLACE TO DO SOMETHING FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PEOPLE(SMALL). BUT NOTHING IS BEING DONE! *TR
WE HAVE HAD A DOWN POUR NOT LONG AGO ON SATURDAY. THE NEXT DAY AFTER USING THE EXPEDITION ONCE WHEN IT WAS TURNED OFF THE POWER LOCKS REPEATEDLY LOCK AND UNLOCK (WE HAD TO TAKE THE FUSE OUT TO GET IT TO STOP). THERE IS A CLICKING NOISE IN THE FUSE BOX/ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THE FUSE BOX IS LOCATED. WHEN THE LOCKS FUNCTION ON THEIR OWN WITH EVERY CLICK THE DASH LIGHTS FAINTLY FLICKER. WITH THE POWER LOCKS FUSE REMOVED THE DASH LIGHTS STILL FLICKER MAKING THE GAUGES JUMP WITH EVERY FLICKER. IT EVENTUALLY STOPS. I'VE READ ON MANY FORUMS OF THESE SIMILAR PROBLEMS. BUT FORD SEEMS TO TURN THE OTHER WAY WITH THESE REPORTED PROBLEMS. I'VE CALLED FORD ALREADY AND THERE IS NO RECALLS. ON THE FORUMS WITH THESE SIMILAR AND SAME ISSUES IT SAYS IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A LEAK INTO THE FUSE BOX BY BAD MANUFACTURING WINDSHIELD SEALANT. SOME VEHICLES SEEM TO FUNCTION ON THEIR OWN EVEN AT NIGHT AND THERE HAD BEEN SOME THAT BURST INTO FLAMES AND THE LOSS OF THE VEHICLE WAS THE RESULT. THIS IS THE MANUFACTURER'S RESPONSIBILITY DUE TO FAULTY PUT TOGETHER AND PRODUCT CAUSING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WHEN WATER DRIPS DOWN INTO THE FUSE BOX. PLEASE HELP US! WE CANNOT AFFORD THE $1000'S OF DOLLARS FOR THIS PARTICULAR REPAIR THAT IS AN ONGOING ISSUE FOR MANY OTHER FORD EXPEDITION AND FORD F-150 AND FORD TAURUS VEHICLES!!! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS ERRONEOUSLY DEPLOYED. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION FROM THE IMPACT OF THE AIR BAG. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 147,000.
BATTERY DRAINS, TOOK FUSE TO RADIO OUT AND FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR A WHILE BUT THEN THE LOCKS STARTED TO ACT ON THERE OWN NO WAY TO FIX DEALERS KEEP SAYING THEY NEVER HEARD OF THE PROBLEM OR THEY WANT TO TRY THINGS BUT ALL THEY END UP DONG IS COSTING ME MORE MONEY. MY TRUCK HAS STARTED MAKING A VERY LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT UNDER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION WE HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS EXCESSIVE RUST AND CORROSION ON THE FRAME. THIS HAS CAUSED PARTS OF THE ENGINE TO SHIFT AND RUB/ COLLIDE WITH OTHER PARTS AND CAUSE THE NOISES. OUR MECHANIC AND MY HUSBAND BOTH FEEL THAT THE RUST AND CORROSION HAVE MADE THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL WHEN ANY PART OF THE ENGINE/VEHICLE COULD BREAK FREE, POSSIBLY CAUSING MORE DAMAGE AND OR AN ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING. OUR VEHICLE IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND THE AMOUNT OF RUST AND CORROSION IS EXCESSIVE FOR THE YEAR AND MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE. THE LACK OF ABILITY TO TELL WHEN OR WHERE THE FRAMEWORK MAY GIVE OUT MAKES IT UNSAFE IN OUR OPINION TO DRIVE. ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE MOST OF THE TIME. THE CORROSION IS ALSO SO EXCESSIVE WE BELIEVE IT IS NOT REPAIRABLE BY ANY BODY SHOP. I BELIEVE THAT THE RUST AND CORROSION SOUNDS VERY SIMILAR TO THAT DESCRIBED ON THE WINDSTARS AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED ALONG WITH THE WINDSTARS PROBLEMS. FINALLY THERE IS ALSO EXCESSIVE BUBBLING OF THE PAINT IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS OF THE VEHICLE.

TODAY IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN UNTIL JUMPED & NOW THE RADIO WOULDN'T GO ON. AT THE SHOP AGAIN & THE MECHANIC IS STUMPED BUT WORKING ON IT! FROM RESEARCH IT SEEMS TO BE EITHER A FUEL PUMP RELAY THAT IS APPARENTLY SODDER INTO THE FUSE BOX & ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE W/ REPLACING THE WHOLE BOX OR IT IS THE FUSE BOX ITSELF. I AM ALSO SEEING CLAIMS OF WATER LEAKING DOWN WINDSHIELD & GETTING INTO FUSE BOX. ALL I KNOW IS FORD SHOULD ACKNOWLEDGE & RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED!
