TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. THE VEHICLE HAS PIRELLI SCORPION, SIZE 255/70R18 TIRES (NA). WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT AT 6,000 MILES. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS AN IMPACT FRACTURE AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE. WHILE PULLING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AT 5 MPH, THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AT 11,000 MILES. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS ONCE AGAIN DUE TO AN IMPACT FRACTURE. CURRENTLY, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE MAKES A LOUD NOISE AND VIBRATES. THE FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED AS AN IMPACT FRACTURE FOR THE THIRD TIME. THE CONTACT HAD TO REPLACE EACH OF THE TIRES AT HER OWN EXPENSE. THE FIRST TWO TIRES ARE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW. THE DOT NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 15,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
ONE MONTH AFTER THE PURCHASE OF MY 2007 EXPEDITION EDDIE BAUER MY AIR CONDITIONER IS WORKING INTERMITTENTLY. I HAVE RECEIVED TWO SERVICE BULLETINS FROM THE DEALER FROM FORD STATING THEY KNOW THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT ARE NOT SURE HOW TO FIX. I LIVE IN FLORIDA ITS HOT. *JB
SLIDING CAR ICON WILL DISPLAY OCCASSIONALY AND RANDOMLY ON DRY PAVEMENT FOR SHORT PERIODS OF TIME DURING WHICH THE BRAKES DO NOT WORK. THIS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO REAR END A CAR RECENTLY. *TR
THIS 2007 EXPEDITION WILL NOT HOLD WHILE STOPPED ON A HILL EITHER IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. WHEN IN EITHER GEAR THE CAR WILL DRIFT NOTICEABLY. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO BACK UP WHILE ON A DOWN GRADE HILL THE BRAKE HAS TO BE HELD AND GAS MUST BE APPLIED SO THAT THE VEHICLE COULD SAFELY BACK UP WITHOUT IT SPINNING TIRE.*AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. WHEN COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE LUNGES FORWARD. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND THEY RESET THE RPM'S. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE FAILURE IMMEDIATELY RECURRED. THE TECHNICIAN ADDED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS DESIGNED TO DOWNSHIFT AND THAT THERE WAS NO CURRENT REMEDY TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. AS OF OCTOBER 10, 2008, THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN PROPERLY REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,400.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPARE TIRE WAS 17 INCHES AND THE TIRES ON THE VEHICLE WERE 18 INCHES. THE SPARE TIRE WAS PLACED ON THE VEHICLE, WHICH CAUSED IT TO LEAN AND DRIVE DIFFERENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE STANDARD TIRE SIZE WAS 17 INCHES AND THE 18 INCH WHEELS WERE OPTIONAL. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 5,600.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE BRAKING FROM 50 OR 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE PULLS TO THE LEFT INTO THE NEXT LANE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES HOWEVER, THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THIS WAS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE FOR THE VEHICLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 7,500 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,800. UPDATED 01-15-08. *KB NUMEROUS PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON THE VEHICLE, BUT TO NO AVAIL. UPDATED 12/12/07
I PURCHASED A 2007 EXPEDITION IN OCT. 06 AND ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO, I NOTICED THAT WHEN I CAME TO A STOP I FELT A KICK AFTERWARDS. SLOWLY IT PROGRESSED TO A HARDER PUSH, WHERE IT ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE SOMEONE HIT ME FROM BEHIND. I TOOK IT FOR SERVICE AT MY LOCAL FORD DEALER IN OCTOBER 07 AND THEY HAD ORDERS FROM FORD TO RECALIBRATE THE TRANSMISSION FOR NOW UNTIL THEY FOUND A FIX FOR THE PROBLEM IN MID-NOVEMBER. THE RECALIBRATION WORKED FOR 1 WEEK AND NOW THE PROBLEM HAS RETURNED. AGAIN I CONTACTED THE LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY CLAIM NOT TO HAVE A FIX YET. I NEED THIS FIX . *TR
I HAD PURCHASED A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION EL AND HAVE HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH BEING ABLE TO GO IN REVERSE WHILE FACING DOWN ON ANY KIND OF GRADE. I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE ACCELARATION WHILE COMING FROM A STOP INTO TRAFFICE. MYSELF ALONG WITH MY TWO SMALL CHILDREN WILL NO LONGER DRIVE THE VEHICLE. WE WERE VERY CLOSE TO BEING HIT TWICE BECAUSE OF THE DEFECT IN THIS FORD VEHICLE. I HAD SUBMITTED FOR LEMON LAW AND SO FAR I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ANSWER FROM ARBITRATION. I CAN TELL YOU THAT FORD IS COVERING THIS UP BECAUSE I KNOW OF SERVERAL PERSONS AND BUSINESSES THAT HAVE THE SAME ISSUES AND FORD STATED THAT THERE ARE NO ISSUES. WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH THE FORD REPRESENTATIVE IN THE ARBITRATION THEY ONLY SHOWED A FEW VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD ME THAT THE ONES THAT I RECEIVED FROM THE DEALERSHIP WERE FALSE. WHAT A CROCK. I WILL MAKE A COMPLAINT EVERYWHERE THAT I CAN BEFORE THIS VEHICLE KILLS SOMEONE. AT THIS POINT I WENT AND BOUGHT ANOTHER VEHICLE AND AM STUCK PAYING FOR TWO NOW THAT THE ONE JUST SITS AND WE REFUSE TO DRIVE IT. MY CHILDREN ARE AFRAID TO EVEN DRIVE IN IT BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY GOES IN FORWARD WHILE IN REVERSE ALSO.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. DURING THE DAYTIME, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO READ THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GAUGES. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN THAT MANNER AND WOULD BE UNABLE TO MAKE THE REPAIR. AS OF NOVEMBER 29, 2007, THE DEALER HAD NOT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. IT SEEMS THAT THE HEADLIGHT INTENSITY OF LATER MODEL AUTOS KEEPS GETTING BRIGHTER AND BRIGHTER. THEIR OWN VISIBILITY MIGHT BE ENHANCED, BUT IT IS AT THE EXPENSE OF ALL OF THE OTHER DRIVERS. I FEEL THAT THE FORD PICKUPS AND SUVS ARE A MAJOR CULPRIT, AS WELL AS ANY VEHICLE MADE BY ACURA. I WOULD SUPPORT A LAW RESTRICTING THE CANDLE POWER AND HEIGHT OF HEADLAMPS, AND AN ABSOLUTE BAN ON XENON LIGHTS. *JB
TL*- THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE 2007 FORD EXPEDITION EL HAD TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS FROM THE DAY HE DROVE THE VEHICLE OFF THE PARKING LOT OF THE DEALERSHIP. WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND TRYING TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE STAYED IN A HIGH GEAR AND THE ENGINE REVVED. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED IN THE WRONG GEAR. THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED WHEN DRIVING WITH THE VEHICLE FULL OF PASSENGERS. HE TOOK THE VEHCILE TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 02/07/07 WHICH WAS THE APPOINTMENT DATE THE DEALERSHIP GAVE HIM, AND THE DEALERSHIP TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A TEST RIDE WITH THE CONTACT, AND THE SERVICE MECHANIC INFORMED HIM THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS ON THE 2007 FORD EXPEDITIONS, BUT THEY HAVD NO REMDEY FOR THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DURING ONE INCIDENT HE TRIED TO ACCELERATE AFTER STOPPING IN TRAFFIC AND WAS CONCERNED THAT ANOTHER VEHICLE WOULD HIT HIM BECAUSE THE VEHICLE DIDN'T ACCELORATE PROPERLY. THE CONTACT NOTICED THE PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSON SLIPPING AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR TWENTY MILES. HE STATED THAT HE NOW HAD 1,600 MILES ON THE VEHCILE, AND FELT THAT THE MANUFACTURER ALONG WITH THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THIS SAFETY PROBLEM . *AK UPDATED 03/30/07. *JB
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHIFTS ROUGHLY AND MAKES A LOUD SOUND WHEN SHIFTING FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR OR ACCELERATING FROM A STOP AT 15 MPH. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES. INITIALLY, THE FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED AS THE THROTTLE CABLE. THE SECOND TIME, THE DEALER STATED THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE THIRD TIME, THE VEHICLE MADE A POPPING NOISE AND THE REAR AXLES WERE REPLACED. THE FOURTH TIME, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CAUSE OF FAILURE WAS THE TRANSMISSION. THEY DEALER WOULD TEMPORARILY REPAIR THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURE WOULD RECUR DAYS LATER. THE FAILURE HAS STILL NOT BEEN CORRECTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,800 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 14,300.
THE NEW 14 PASSENGER FORD VAN IS A PASSENGER HAZARD FOR PEOPLE IN THE BACK THREE ROWS OF SEATS IF SOMEONE IS NOT IN THE SECOND ROW. THE REAR DOOR LATCHES ARE NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH FROM THE THIRD ROW. I AM LOCATED AT JET PROPULSION LABORATORY IN PASADENA, CA. THE VAN IS A VPSI LEASED VAN. HOW CAN I GET THE LATCH FITTED WITH AN ELECTRIC OPENER? I AM CONTACTING VEHICLE SAFETY AND VPSI ON THIS ISSUE.
