I WAS RIDING ALONG THE INTERSTATE WHEN MY SUNROOF SUDDENLY EXPLODED! NOTHING HIT IT; THERE WAS NO ROCK OR PEBBLE. NOTHING WAS DROPPED ON MY SUNROOF. THE SUNROOF JUST SUDDENLY EXPLODED. SHATTERED GLASS WAS ALL OVER THE INTERIOR OF MY VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AUTOMATED WINDOWS WERE INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.

OUR 2007 FORD EXPEDITION WAS SITTING IN OUR DRIVEWAY, WHEN OUR NEIGHBOR HEARD A LOUD POP NOISE. WHEN HE LOOKED, HE SAW THAT OUR BACK LEFT WINDOW HAD SHATTERED--FOR NO REASON. THIS IS THE 2ND WINDOW TO SHATTER FOR NO REASON. LUCKILY OUR KIDS WERE NOT IN IT, OR THEY COULD HAVE BEEN INJURED. WE WILL NOW HAVE TO REPLACE THE 2ND WINDOW IN OUR TRUCK IN LESS THAN A YEAR FOR THEM SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, THE FRONT DRIVER, REAR AND PASSENGER FRONT DOOR HANDLES FRACTURED, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO HAVE TO OPEN THE WINDOW AND OPEN THE DOOR WITH THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY ADVISED HIM THAT HE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE DOOR HANDLES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000. UPDATED 12/16/11 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THREE OUT FOUR DOOR HANDLES FAILED WHICH WERE MADE OUT OF CHEAP PLASTIC. A FEW MONTHS AGO, BOTH FRONT REGULATORS FOR THE POWER WINDOWS FAILED. UPDATED 12/23/11

WE WERE LOADING UP OUR 2007 FORD EXPEDITION TO GO OUT. THE VEHICLE HAD JUST BEEN STARTED TO WARM UP, WHEN I SHUT THE REAR HATCH, THE GLASS SHATTERED CAUSING A HUGE MESS ALLOVER THE REAR OF THE TRUCK. THE 2 CONTACTS WERE DANGLING FROM THE TRUCK, BUT THE GLASS WAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED OUT. *TR

I HAD PURCHASED A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION WITH HEAVY DUTY TRAILER TOW THE CLASS IV AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT COME WITH TRAILER TOW MIRRORS. I HAD JUST PURCHASED A TRAILER AND HAVE BLIND SPOTS AND AM TRYING TO FIND MIRRORS BUT THERE ARE NONE FOR ME TO USE. I TRY ASKING FORD IF I COULD USE THE ONES FROM AND F-150 BUT THEY CANNOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING BECAUSE IT IS NOT ON THE ACCESSORY LIST. I THINK THIS IS A BIG SAFETY RISK SINCE THE VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED TO TOW UP TO A 9000LB TRAILER AND IF YOU CANNOT SEE THEN WHY SELL THE TRAILER TOW PACKAGE IF YOU CANNOT USE IT. *TR
SHORTLY AFTER BUYING THE VEHICLE AUG. 23, 2007 WE STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SUNROOF RATTLING. IN SEPT. 2007 THEY REPLACED THE SUNROOF. SINCE REPLACING THE SUNROOF IT HAS BEEN BACK 3 MORE TIME WITH RATTLING PROBLEMS. THE PROBLEM CAN NOT BE FIXED AND IT CONTINUES TO EXIST. WE HAVE CONTACTED FORD MOTOR CO. ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND AT THIS TIME THEY WANT ANOTHER CHANCE TO FIX IT. WE HAVE CONTACTED THE WASHINGTON STATE ATTNY. GENERAL AND HAVE STARTED THE PROCESS TO HAVE THIS VEHICLE DEEMED A "LEMON". AFTER FOR ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR THE SUNROOF THE PROBLEMS CONTINUES AND THEN THERE ARE OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THIS EXPEDITION. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN COLD WEATHER; ICE WOULD FORM INSIDE EACH WINDOW. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 30 MPH AND ENGAGING THE DEFROSTER, ONLY THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WOULD DEFROST BUT NOT THE PASSENGER WINDOWS IN THE VEHICLE. SHE THEN ENGAGED THE INTERIOR HEAT TO NINETY DEGREES IN AN ATTEMPT TO DEFROST THE PASSENGER WINDOWS BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE WINDOWS BECAUSE THEY WERE FROZEN SHUT AND IN ORDER TO DETERMINE WHEN TO CHANGE LANES, THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO OPEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 38,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING IN COLD WEATHER ALL SIX OF THE PASSENGER WINDOWS WOULD NOT DEFOG UNLESS THE HEAT WAS TURNED ALL THE WAY UP AND THE AIR VENTS WERE DIRECTED TOWARDS THE WINDOWS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE WINDOWS WOULD FREEZE SHUT AND SHE WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THERE MIGHT BE AN AIR LEAK. THE DRIVER'S SIDE MIRROR WAS REPLACED YET THE FAILURE PERSISTED WHEN DRIVING IN COLD WEATHER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER FOUR TIMES, BUT THERE HAD BEEN NO RESOLUTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 38,000.
