EXCESSIVE PROBLEMS WITH TRANSMISSION JERKING, AND SHIFTING PROBLEMS, PURCHASED VEHICLE AS BRAND NEW AFTER 4 MONTHS CONTACTED DEALER WHERE CARE WAS PURCHASED REGARDING PROBLEM. BROUGHT VEHICLE IN AT LEAST TWICE BEFORE PROBLEM WAS FOUND.THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED HAS SINCE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ALONG WITH OTHER PROBLEMS, VEHICLE STALLING WHILE DRIVING, CD PLAYER POWER SHUTS OFF. RATTLING WHEN HITTING BRAKES. FILED A COMPLAINT DEALER REFUSES TO BUY CAR BACK ASK ME TO TRADE CAR IN WITH MORE MONEY DOWN. THE DEALER REPAIR PERSONS CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAVE HAD REPLACED AT LEAST 10 TRANSMISSIONS ON THE SAME STYLE VEHICLE PRIOR TO MY VISIT AND RECOGNIZED A PATTERN. BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!!
FOR THE SECOND TIME IN FIVE MONTHS, OUR EXPLORER BACK WINDOW HAS EXPLODED, PROPELLING THE WINDOW AND FRAME OUTWARDS, CUTTING MY HUSBANDS ARM AND SHATTERING GLASS ALL OVER HIM AND OUR DRIVEWAY. HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE TAILGATE, BUT WAS JUST LOWERING IT, WHEN IT FLEW OUT. THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED, MY DAUGHTER WAS RAISING THE WINDOW, AND THE FRAMEAND WINDOW FLEW OUT, AND HIT HER IN THE SHOULDER, SPRAYING GLASS ALL OVER HER AND IMBEDDING IT IN THE GARAGE WALL. THIS TIME THEY REPLACED THE BACK WINDOW WITH A COMPLETELY RE-DESIGNED WINDOW. WE TOLD THEM THAT WE DIDN'T WANT THE VEHICLE, BECAUSE WE WERE AFRAID OF FUTURE INJURIES AND WERE ACTUALLY AFRAID TO USE IT AGAIN. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US IT WAS FORDS PROBLEM, NOT THEIRS, AND SO WE CONTACTED FORD. A REPRESENTATIVE PROMISED TO GET BACK WITH US AFTER TAKING THE INFORMATION, BUT IT HAS BEEN OVER A WEEK NOW, AND WE HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP US RESOLVE THIS MATTER. REAR COIL SPRINGS FAILED ON 2002 FORD EXPLORER. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 4,100 MILES ON IT. THIS WAS FOUND WHILE OIL WAS BEING CHANGED AT THE DEALER. IT APPEARS THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. FORD NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE WITH THIS MANY VEHICLES HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. NOW I'M FACING A 500.00 REPAIR BILL. *TR
THERE IS A STRONG SULPHUR SMELL COMING FROM EXHAUST. IT IS VERY NOTICEABLE INSIDE VEHICLE. DEALER HAS INSPECTED VEHICLE, AND SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO.*AK
WHILE TRAVELING AT 25 MPH STEERING BECAME IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN IN ANY DIRECTION. TOOK TO DEALER, AND THEY STATED THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH A DEFECTIVE SEAL. CONSUMER FEELS CONSUMERS LIFES WERE PUT INTO DANGER BECAUSE OF A KNOWN PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
DT: 2002 FORD EXPLORER. ON VEHICLE THE SHOULDER HARNESS ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WEAR THROUGH THE PLASTIC TRIM ON THE PILLAR, AND IT CAUSED THE EDGE OF THE SEAT BELTS TO FRAY. DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE SEAT BELT AND TRIM, AND IT RECURRED WITHIN A FEW WEEKS. CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP, AND CURRENTLY VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. WHEN THE EDGES OF THE SEAT BELT FRAYED THE CONSUMER WAS CONCERNED THAT THE SEAT BELT WILL TEAR ALL THE WAY. *AK (11/08/05) *SC

I PURCHASED A 2002 FORD EXPLORER XLT WITH THE SPORT BUCKET SEATS. THESE SEATS HAVE NO HEAD RESTS AND OFFER NO PROTECTION TO THE BACK OF MY HEAD. A WEEK AFTER I PURCHASED VEHICLE FORD OFFERED A 2002 AND 1/2 THAT HAS HEAD RESTS IN THE BUCKET SEATS. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT YET BUT I HAVE TOLD THE FORD CO. THAT IT IS DANGEROUS AND THEY IGNORE ME. WHEN YOU COME TO A STOP AT A STOP SIGN AND START TO PULL OUT THE VEHICLE WILL ROLL INTO MOVING TRAFFIC AND HESITATE 4-5 SECONDS BEFORE THE GAS FINALLY CATCHES AND THE VEHICLE GOES ON. MEAN WHILE YOU HAVE TRAFFIC BEARING DOWN ON YOU. WE HAVE COME CLOSE TO GETTING HIT SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. I THINK THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AS A POTENTIAL PROBLEM FOR OTHER CONSUMERS BESIDES MYSELF.
WHEN MAKING A SUDDEN STOP OR FROM A STOP POSITION VEHICLE WOULD MOMENTARILY HESITATE BEFORE JERKING INTO GEAR WHEN APPLYING ACCELERATOR PEDAL. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO DEALER ON THREE OCCASIONS, AND WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE CAUSE OF PROBLEM. *AK WHEN MAKING A SUDDEN STOP THE TRUCK WILL NOT ACCELERATE. IT WILL JUST MAKE A GRINDING NOISE. CONSUMER HAS TO PUT VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTART. VEHICLE RUNS ROUGH AND CHANGES GEARS WHILE DRIVING, CONSUMER WOULD LIKE FORD TO EITHER FIX THE PROBLEM CORRECTLY, REPURCHASE OR REPLACE THE VEHICLE. *JG
2002 FORD EXPLORER EDDIE BAUER 4L V6 AUTO TRANS I HAD MY EXPLORER INTO THE DEALER FOR AN OIL CHANGE LAST JANUARY AND THEY MENTIONED THAT MY RIGHT REAR WHEEL SEAL WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE CHANGED BUT NOT RIGHT AWAY. I WAITED FOR THE NEXT OIL CHANGE IN APRIL AND SCHEDULED IT IN FOR A WHEEL SEAL REPLACEMENT -- $190. NO MENTION OF ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE REAR END. NOT 90 MILES LATER I HEAR A LOUD CRUNCHING SOUND AND MANAGED TO LIMP BACK TO THE DEALER TO FIND OUT THAT THE SAME RIGHT REAR HUB THEY JUST REPLACED THE SEAL ON HAS A BAD BEARING/HUB. THEY REPLACED THE HUB AND BEARING AT A COST OF $899 ($533 PARTS). GIVEN THE EXPLORERS HISTORY OF PROBLEMS WITH THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL (FIRESTONE BLOWOUTS) CAUSING ROLLOVER ACCIDENTS I THINK FORD WOULD TAKE THIS PROBLEM SERIOUSLY. IF HAVING A TIRE FAIL CAN LEAD TO ROLLOVER ACCIDENTS IMAGINE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LOSE THE ENTIRE WHEEL! *TR

DEFECTIVE 2002 FORD EXPLORER FRONT STABILIZER BAR - SINCE I HAVE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE, THE FRONT STABILIZER BAR HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE, FIRST ON 4/15/02, AND AGAIN ON 5/6/03. I HAVE NOTICED THAT NHTSA HAS ASKED FORD TO RECALL EARLIER MODELS OF THIS VEHICLE FOR THIS SAME DEFECT, AND I AM CONCERNED THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE, ALTHOUGH THE SERVICING DEALER HAS NOT INDICATED IT COULD BE. *JB
WENT TO SHIFT VEHICLE TO DRIVE FROM PARK POSITION, SHIFT LEVER WENT DOWN WITHOUT SHIFTING VEHICLE INTO GEAR., UPON INSPECTION THE BOTTOM OF THE CASE WHERE THE SHIFT LEVER IS HELD BY A PIN HAD BROKEN OFF, THE ONLY WAY TO REPAIR THIS SITUATION IS TO CHANGE THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN ACCORDING TO TWO (2) FORD DEALERS I VISITED. UPON SEARCHING THIS PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET, I FIND IT AMAZING OF HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IT COST $1265.00 TO REPLACE THE UNIT NOT INCLUDING LABOR COST. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS FATIGUE ON THAT PIECE OF METAL. FORD SHOULD BE MADE AWARE OF THIS AS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND A RECALL SHOULD TAKE PLACE. *TR
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE COMING TO A STOP VEHICLE SUDDENLY DIED. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS. NLM CONSUMER ADDS THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED TWICE BEFORE WHILE DRIVING, BUT WAS ABLE TO RESTART IT. DEALER CANNOT LOCATE PROBLEM. *TT
THE VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY CAUGHT FIRE WHILE IT WAS PARKED. RESULTS SHOWED THAT THERE WAS A SHORTAGE WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH. *JB TWO INDEPENDANT CAUSE & ORIGIN REPORTS FOUND THE FIRE TO HAVE STARTED UNDER THE DASH BOARD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. BRUCE YORK HAS THE C&O REPORTS.
I HAVE A 2002 FORD EXPLORER WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THAT IS GOING BAD. ONE DAY THE CAR IS FINE AND THE NEXT DAY MY LIGHT WHEN ON - OUT OF THE BLUE. I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A PROBLEM UNTIL MY O/D OFF LIGHT IS BLINKING & THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON. PLUS, CHECK TRANSMISSION LIGHT IS ALSO LIT UP. THIS ALL HAPPENED WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING. I FEEL THE CAR IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AND AM NOT SURE WHAT I AM GOING TO DO....EXCEPT I KNOW I CANNOT DRIVE IT ANYMORE. I HAVE THREE YOUNG CHILDREN THAT ARE IN THIS TRUCK ALL THE TIME. I'VE ONLY MADE A FEW PAYMENTS ON IT AND NOW I'M TOLD THAT IT'S GOING TO COST ME OVER $3000 TO REPAIR, WHICH IS ALMOST WHAT THE CAR IS WORTH AT THIS POINT. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME ISSUES OF SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE, AND NO ONE KNOWS WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT. IF YOU DO AN INTERNET SEARCH THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME EXACT ISSUE. SOME VEHICLES REPORT AS LOW AS 20,000 MILES WHEN THE TRANSMISSION FAILS. READ THE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS OUT THERE FROM THE HARD WORKING CONSUMER, AND I THINK YOU WILL AGREE. I DO REALIZE TO ADMIT THAT THE TRANSMISSIONS IN THE 2002 FORD EXPLORER ARE FAULTY WILL COST SOME AMOUNT OF MONEY. MODULE THAT CONTROLS THE "CONTROL TRAC" 4-WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM, FAILED AT 3000 MILES CAUSING SYSTEM TO ASSUME REAR WHEELS WERE SLIPPING. THIS CAUSED THE SYSTEM TO INTERMITTENTLY CYCLE THE FRONT WHEEL DRIVE TO ASSIST EVEN THOUGH REAR TIRES WERE NOT LOSING TRACTION. OWNER COMPLAINED TO DEALERSHIP 4 PREVIOUS TIMES OF CONTROL TRAC PROBLEMS, BUT DEALERSHIP DID NOT ADMIT PROBLEM (TOLD OWNER EVERYTHING WAS FINE WITH DRIVE TRAIN) UNTIL 7000 MILES WHEN OWNER DEMANDED A FIX. DEALER THEN TOLD OWNER THAT FORD KNOWS ABOUT BAD PART, BUT THAT THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN PART WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. CURRENTLY, EXPLORER'S 4X4 SYSTEM IS UNPLUGED BY DEALER AND IS 2WD ONLY. DEALER SAID THEY "DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH DAMAGE HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE WITH 4000 MILES OF DRIVING WITH BAD SYSTEM." FORD SAYS MODULE FOR FIX, IS ON BACKORDER, AND DON'T KNOW WHEN FIX WILL BE AVAILABLE. *AK
BRAKE PEDAL FADES AND GOES CLEAR DOWN TO FLOORBOARD WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE. I HAVE TAKEN TO DEALER 5 TIMES AND LAST TIME THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME THIS IS NORMAL. HE SAID THAT SOME OTHERS (NOT ALL)DO THE SAME THING. MINE STARTED THIS AT ABOUT 28,000 MILES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT STATED THE ENTIRE GLASS ON ALL FOUR DOORS EXHIBITED PERMANENT STREAKS WHICH DISTORTED HIS VISIBILITY. IN ADDITION, THERE WERE SIMILAR STREAKS ON THE FRONT AND REAR WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO SPECIALIZED IN AUTO GLASS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO ACID. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3. ALL GLASS HAS A FOG TYPE FILM AND STREAKS WHICH OBSCURES VISION DURING NIGHT TIME AND INCLEMENT WEATHER DRIVING. UPDATED 09/29/2011 *LN *TR
I HAVE A 2002 FORD EXPLORER THAT IS NOW HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WHICH WILL COST IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF $3000 TO FIX. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET I CAN'T BELIEVE THE NUMBER OF OWNERS WHO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. FORD APPARENTLY KNOWS OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAS DECLINED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY. IF A PERSON TALLER THAN 5'7 ENTERS INTO THIS SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE, THE HEAD RESTRAINT COMES TO THE BASE OF THE NECK RIGHT AT SHOULDER LEVEL. UPON POSSIBLE IMPACT THE DRIVERS/PASSENGERS HEAD WILL SNAP BACK AND BREAK. ALSO BECAUSE OF THE SEAT HEIGHT EVEN AT ITS LOWEST POSITION, THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER'S HEAD TOUCHES CEILING OF INTERIOR OF THE CAR. WE DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT OIL WAS LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE OIL PAN GASKET BUT THE LEAKING PERSISTED. THE DEALER THEN REPLACED THE OIL PAN BUT OIL CONTINUED TO LEAK. THE DEALER EVENTUALLY HAD TO GLUE THE SCREWS TO THE OIL PAN TO SOP THE LEAKING. THE CONSUMER WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS REPAIR. *AK *PH *NLM
I HEARD LIKE A AIRPLANE RIGHT OVER THE HEAD OF MY TRUCK AND IT ENDED UP BEING MY HUB BEARINGS, THE FORD DEALER SAID WE HAVE ALOT OF THESE PROBLEMS WITH THE 2002 FORD XLT EXPLORER. HE TOLD ME AS MANY AS THESE THAT HE GETS IN IT SHOULD BE A RECALL. HE PROCEEDS TO TELL ME YOUR TIRE CAN FALL OFF AND THERE CAN BE SERIOUS ACCIDENT SOMEONE CAN GET KILLED OR HURT REALLY BAD. NOW I HAD TO SHELL OUT 1,0000. AT A LOCAL DEALER TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIX. I FINALLY GOT DONE PAYING FOR THE [XXX] CAR AND NOW I HAVE TO THROW MONEY IN CONSTANTLY FIRST IT WAS MY REAR END 10 DAYS AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED NOW ITS HUB BEARING WHAT'S NEXT MAYBE FORD WOULD BE # 1 IF THEY MADE A BETTER TRUCK. THAT IS WHY THE AMERICAN CONSUMER ARE BUYING FOREIGN CARS AND TRUCKS BECAUSE AT LEAST THEY DO RECALLS AND THE CARS AND TRUCKS LAST. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD THE PRETENSION SET AND CLOCK SPRING REPLACED SEVEN TIMES BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 172,000.

CONSUMER STATES ATTEMPTED TO OPEN LIFTGATE TO UNLOAD GROCERIES WHEN THE LIFTGATE BLEW OUT CRASHING ON THE TOP OF THE ROOF OF THE TRUCK, SHATTERING THE GLASS TO THE LIFTGATE WINDOW. VEHCLE HAS BEEN SHOP FOR 14 DAYS. BODY ROOF WAS BADLY DAMAGED. *TT PE04045.PCO
THIS SAME INCIDENT OCCURRED FOUR TIMES. THE SPEED IN EACH INCIDENT VARIED FROM 15 MPH ON THE FIRST OCCURRENCE TO 65 MPH ON THE FOURTH. BASICALLY, WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, THE ENGINE DIED, THE LIGHTS FLASHED ON THE DASH, I LOST ALL POWER STEERING. ON EACH OCCAISION. I PULLED THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK, AND RE-STARTED THE ENGINE. ON EACH TIME, THE ENGINE RE-STARTED WITHOUT HESITATION. I REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK; THUS, THEY MADE NO REPAIRS. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. *AK
A CRACK FROM TOP TO BOTTOM, ON THE FIBERGLASS PANEL BELOW THE REAR WINDOW OF MY 2002 FORD EXPLORER XLS 2WD, 4.0 FI. I TOOK THE CAR IN AT ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF OLD, WHILE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY FOR THE SAME ISSUE AND IT WAS "TAKEN CARE OF" AT FORD'S COST. ABOUT 3-6 MONTHS AFTER THE 36 MONTH WARRANTY EXPIRED I NOTICED THE SAME CRACK START TO REAPPEAR AND WITH IT BEING OUT OF WARRANTY, THE FORD DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO REPAIR/REPLACE AT THEIR COST. LOUD GRINDING NOISE FROM FRONT AND REAR WHEELS, THE FRONT WHEEL BEARING FAILED ALONG WITH THE FRONT CARRIER BEARINGS WERE SPUN REPLACED THEM AT 82,000 MILES AND AT 86,000 MILES THE REAR DID THE SAME THING BUT THE REAR DID NOT SPIN THE CARRIER BEARINGS (NOT YET ANYWAYS) THE FRONT REPAIR COST ME AND MY WIFE OVER 600 DOLLARS (WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER 900.00 IF I DIDN'T DO THE WORK MY SELF) THE REAR WE HAD TO BUY THE PARTS FROM THE INTERNET TO SAVE MONEY AND IT COST US 350 FOR THE NEW WHEEL ASSEMBLY'S AND 62 DOLLARS TO HAVE THE NEW BEARINGS INSTALLED TO THE SPINDALS. AFTER WAITING SIX WEEKS FOR THE BACKORDERED CONVERTER TO ARRIVE, IT WAS INSTALLED AND THE PCM WAS REPROGRAMMED WITH THE LATEST CALIBRATION UPDATE. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL REPAIRS THAT WOULD APPLY TO MY CONCERN. I, ALONG WITH MY FAMILY, HAVE BEEN TOLERATING THIS ODOR CONCERN SINCE TAKING DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE. I OWN A 2002 FORD EXPLORER XLS AND IT HAS BEEN INTO THE FORD SERVICE-REPAIR SHOP A TOTAL 0F 37 WORK HOURS -10 DOCUMENTED SERVICE DAYS FOR AN ANNOYING TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT DASH-CONSOLE-ENGINE AREA THAT CAN NOT SEEM TO BE REPAIRED. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER OR NOT THAT THE ENGINE IS COLD OR WARM, THE WEATHER CONDTIONS HOT-DRY OR HUMID AND WET, IT STILL TICKS INTERMITENTLY FOR SOMETIMES AROUND 8 MINUTES OR CAN GO ON FOR 20 AT THAT MOMENT. WHEN IT STARTS IT SOUNDS LIKE A TOGGLE SWITCH GOING ON AND OFF AND THEN MAKES A RUBBING ,SQUEAKING , TICKING NOISE THAT STARTS OFF LOW AND THEN GETS SO LOUD THAT YOU CAN HEAR IT WITH THE RADIO ON SET AT A SLIGHTLY HIGH VOLUME. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHETHER THE AIR IS ON OR OFF, THE RADIO-CD IS ON OR OFF OR THE HEAT IS ON OR OFF. ALL CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN TESTED . THE FRONT DASH HAS BEEN REMOVED NUMEROUS TIMES AND REINSULATED, A NEW RADIO HAS BEEN PUT IN, THE WINSHIELD REPLACED, VENTS AND GLOVE BOX REMOVED AND WIRING CHECKED. ONCE THE SOUND STARTS, BUMPINESS IN THE ROAD SEEMS TO PRODUCE THE SOUND LOUDER AND MORE OFTEN. ALSO WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL ON A WINDING ROAD THAT IS SOMEWHAT BUMPY ALSO PRODUCES THE SOUND. IT IS NOT A PLEASURE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AND IT HAS BEEN SERVICED AS I STATED FOR THIS PROBLEM EVER SINCE 2002. IT WAS PURCHASED IN JULY OF 2001. THE DEALERSHIP AND MANY DIFFFERENT TECHS. CA NOT FIND OR REPAIR THE PROBLEM. I WOULD GET RID OF IT IF IT WASN'T FOR THE FACT THAT I COULD NOT HONESTLY SELL A LEMON IN GOOD FAITH. THIS VEHICLE BODY WISE IS IS EXCELLENT CONDITION AND ONLY HAS 27,000 MILES ON IT. AS I SEE IT, I HAVE ONLY HAD A PERFECT VEHICLE FOR 1 YEAR OUT OF THE 3 YEARS I HAVE OWNED IT. I HAVE BEEN FAITHFUL TO FORD AND THAT IS ONLY WHAT I HAVE OWNED THE LAST 28 YEARS AND CURRENTLY OWN 3 OTHER FORD VEHICLES. MY FATHER WORKED AND RETIRED FROM FORD MOTOR CO.
