STEERING BECAME VERY STIFF AND HARD TOO STEER. THEN IT BECAME VERY LOOSE AND NOT RESPONSIVE. NOW IT ALTERNATES BETWEEN STIFF AND LOOSE. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS.
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON WHICH DISABLES ALL AIRBAGS IN THE VEHICLE, MAKING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE OPERATIONS ISSUE. UPON DIAGNOSES IT APPEARS FORD MOCO IS AWARE OF A FAULTY ISSUE UNDER THE SECOND ROW SEATS FOR THE OPTIONAL SEATBELT AIRBAGS, AS ISSUED WITH FORD TSB 16-0001, TO DATE FORD HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL TO SERVICE THE KNOW ISSUE. THE AVERAGE REPAIRS ARE COSTING CONSUMERS AROUND $1,000 +/- FOR THE REPAIRS, THUS TOO MANY CONSUMERS ARE BYPASSING THE REPAIRS DUE TO THE HIGHER COSTS AND THUS DRIVING 'NEWER/MODERN' VEHICLES WITHOUT STANDARD SAFETY EQUIPMENT ACTIVE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND I HEARD A LOUD GRINDING NOISE. I SLOWED DOWN SOME BUT THEN WHEN I TRIED TO RE APPLY GAS IT JUST REVVED UP AND WOULD NOT GO FORWARD MORE. I WAS ALMOST IN AN ACCIDENT WITH PEOPLE BEHIND ME. I WAS ABLE TO ROLL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I PUT MY CAR IN PARK AND HEARD THE GRINDING AGAIN. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND CALLED MY HUSBAND. WHEN I RESTARTED THE CAR IT WOULD NOT GO FORWARD, BACKWARD OR ANYTHING. IT IS A LINK SHAFT BRACKET FAILURE THAT THERE IS ALREADY A RECALL IN PLACE FOR BUT MY TRUCK WAS BUILT 4 MONTHS BEFORE THE DATE THE RECALL BEGINS FOR. WE HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME AND IT JUST ROLLED OFF THE TOW TRUCK LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN PARK.

THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED ONTO THE ROAD SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TRY-COUNTY FORD INC (1348 FOUR LOCUST HWY, DIRECTION KEYSVILLE, VA 23947, (434) 736-8444) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS AN INTERNAL TRANSMISSION FAILURE AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN 20V692000 (POWER TRAIN). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
MY PTO WENT OUT AT 75000 MILES. I OWN FORD STOCK SO I KNOW THEY WILL TAKE A HIT.THEY NEED TO FIX INFERIOR ENGINEERING. I HAD AN AFTERMARKET WARRANTY BUT AFTER INVESTIGATING THINGS CAN BE DONE TO FIX BLATANT STUPIDITY. IF I WAS TO TRAVERSE A HILL ON SNOW I COULD EASILY START SLIDING BACKWARDS WITHOUT AWD. PLEASE MAKE FORD FIX THIS OR ARE YOU GOING TO CREATE MORE CARS LIKE LATE 70 OR EARLY 80S WERE THEY WERE JUNK. HERE'S AN IDEA WHEN A CAR HAS A KNOWN DEFECT LIKE THIS FORCE DEALERSHIPS TO LIST IT. I LIKE FORD IT IS ONLY AMERICAN CAR COMPANY THAT HAS SOME QUALITY. PLEASE PROTECT THE AMERICAN PUBLIC NOT TO SAY THE MUNICIPALITIES PAYING FOR ALL THE INTERCEPTORS THAT ARE BREAKING. ALL WERE SAYING IS GIVE US A FAIR DEAL AND I WILL ALWAYS BUY AMERICAN. THIS ISN'T A BELT OR WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR. 1500 BILL AT 75000 MILES. IF YOU GOING TO LET THEM SELL CRAP JUST LET THE AMERICAN PUBLIC KNOW SO WE CAN PROTECT OURSELVES.
THIS OCCURRED FIRST IN OUR DRIVEWAY, FIRST STARTUP IN THE MORNING STEERING WHEEL WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN. I JERKED IT LEFT AND RIGHT A FEW TIMES AND IT EVENTUALLY TURNED AS IT SHOULD. NO ABNORMAL LIGHTS ON DASH TO INDICATE ANY PROBLEMS. THIS GOT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE EACH MORNING UNTIL FREEZING UP COMPLETELY,EVEN WITH THE FRONT WHEELS OFF THE GROUND STEERING WILL NOT BUDGE. I AM TOLD BY THE FORD DEALER HERE THAT THIS VEHICLE IS NOT ON RECALL LIST.

THE CONTACT THEN STATED THAT EXCESSIVE FORCE WAS NEEDED TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A FRIEND WHO USED A MACHINE THAT SHOWED AN INTERNAL ELECTRONIC FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD ALSO TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO AUTONATION FORD WHITE BEAR LAKE (1493 CO RD E EAST, WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN 55110) WHERE AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA FOR ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY 2014 EXPLORER ALERTED ME IN THE DRIVER INFORMATION SECTION LOCATED TO THE LEFT OF THE ODOMETER THAT MY 'STEERING LOSS STOP SAFETY' WAS UNAVAILABLE. IN ADDITION TO THIS, IT DISPLAYED, 'SERVICE ADVANCETRAC' AND 'COLLISON WARNING NOT AVAILABLE'. MOMENTS LATER MY STEERING LOCKED UP AND I WAS UNABLE TO TURN OR CONTROL THE WHEEL. WE SAT STRANDED, WITH OUR THREE CHILDREN ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY FOR HOURS UNTIL HELP COULD COME. WHILE OPERATING MY VEHICLE AT 70 MPH, I LOST COMPLETE CONTROL OF MY STEERING MAKING THIS EXTREMELY UNSAFE FOR MY FAMILY AND I, AND THE DRIVERS SURROUNDING US. AFTER SOME DISCUSSION WITH OUR MECHANIC, WE BELIEVE IT COULD BE THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR, YAW RATE SENSOR OR ANYTHING DIRECTLY RELATED TO STEERING AND/OR TRACTION CONTROL. MY CAR WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND IS AWAITING A REPAIR QUOTE.
WE HAVE A 2014 FORD EXPLORER SPORT AND THE SEATBELT IS IN A RETRACTED POSITION AND IS STUCK. WE HAD IT INTO FORD AND THEY WERE ABLE TO GET IT TEMPORARILY UNSTUCK BUT IT IS STUCK AGAIN. THEY PRICED THE PART AND LABOR AND IT WILL BE $415 TO REPLACE. WE ARE OVER THEIR SAFETY WARRANTY FOR MILEAGE. THEY INSTRUCTED US TO REACH OUT TO YOU TO HELP WITH ESCALATING THE SITUATION TO FORD. WE CANNOT USE THAT SAFETY BELT AT ALL IN ITS CURRENT CONDITION. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD A CARSEAT WITH LATCHES IN THAT POSITION SO SINCE WE HAVE OWNED IT THE SEATBELT HAS BEEN USED MINIMALLY. IF YOU COULD ESCALATE THIS SITUATION TO FORD FOR A RESOLUTION WE WOULD APPRECIATE IT. THANK YOU!

Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V537000 (Suspension) however, the vehicle was not included in the recall. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and occasionally at start-up, the vehicle would suddenly lose power steering functionality. The power steering assist fault warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle several times the power steering regained normal function. The contact stated that recently the power steering failed to reset. The dealer was contacted and stated that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and referred the contact to NHTSA to file a complaint. The approximate failure mileage was 162,423.
Trim piece in front of driver's door has flown off in traffic twice -second time after being replaced/repaired.
I HAD TOOK MY TRUCK TO A NEARBY FORD DEALERSHIP FOR A RECALL WITH THE TOE LINK TO BE REPAIRED AND YESTERDAY ON 01/30/2021 I WAS DRIVING AND THE ENGINE AND STEERING WHEEL STARTED SHAKING ENGINE SOUNDS LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO DROP THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND ONCE I HIT THE HIGHWAY AND I STARTED TO DRIVE OVER 50 MILES IT MADE IT WORST, MY TRUCK WAS DRIVING PERFECTLY FINE BEFORE I TOOK IT IN TO HAVE THAT RECALL REPAIRED.
CONTACTED FORD DEALERSHIP ABOUT RECALL EFFECTING STEERING. WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT THE PART WOULD NOT BE IN FOR 3 TO 4 WEEKS. CONTACTED FORD MOTOR DIRECTLY AND THEY ASKED WAS I EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS AND I TOLD THEM THAT MY VEHICLE HAD FELT LIKE ITS SHIFTING SIDE TO SIDE WHEN I DRIVE. FORD REP TOLD ME THAT I WOULD NEED TO TAKE MY CAR TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. I QUESTIONED WHY DID I NEED TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC WHEN THE FAILURE OF THE COMPANY TO HAVE THE RECALLED PART IN STOCK IS FORCING ME TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC DONE. IF THE PART WAS IN STOCK AND I WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE I WOULD HAVE MY VEHICLE CHECKED AT MY LOCAL MECHANIC SHOP THAT DOESN'T PAY CHARGE TO DIAGNOSE A VEHICLE.
FRONT STEERING NOISE POPPING SAME AS THE RECALL FOR 2011-13. 2014 NEEDS TO BE ADDED. FRONT RACK AND PINION NEEDS REPLACED AFFECTS STEERING. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN.

WHILE MY WIFE IS DRIVING THE CAR WITH THE KID AND SUDDENLY FIND THE STEERING BECAME HARD TO TURN. EVEN FOR ME I HAD TO ROCK THE STEERING WHEEL BACK AND FORTH JUST TO TURN THE CORNER. AFTER I SEARCH THE WEBSITE AND I FOUND FORD HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE RECALL FOR 2011~2013 MODEL. MY CAR IS 2014 MODEL AND I THINK THEY DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM AND SHOULD COVER THIS DEFECT ALSO.
WHILE DRIVING EITHER ON THE HIGHWAY OR ON CITY STREETS WHEN TURNING A CORNER OR A CURVE THE STEERING CATCHES AND MAKES ME SWERVE THE CAR. MY MECHANIC SAYS THE ELECTRONIC STEERING WENT OUT SO THE GEARS ARE CATCHING AND I'M LUCKY I DIDN'T CRASH THE CAR!

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT AN UNKNOWN PART NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 94,000.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the VIN and the contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds, there was an abnormal whining sound coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the rear wheel bearing needed to be replaced. The dealer repaired the vehicle. The contact stated that the check engine warning light later was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the contact was informed that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 FORD EXPLORER SPORT ON THE PARKWAY AND AT APPROXIMATELY 65MPH, MY DASHBOARD LIT UP INDICATING "STEERING LOSS STOP SAFELY" & "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC". I AM BEYOND FURIOUS! LUCKILY I WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO STEER THE VEHICLE SAFELY OFF THE ROAD, BUT I DON'T BELIEVE I COULD SAY THE SAME IF MY WIFE WAS DRIVING. THIS IS A DEATH SENTENCE TO A DRIVER. I SHOULD NOT BEAR THE BURDEN OF A NEARLY $3,000 REPAIR DUE TO FORD'S POOR ENGINEERING. THIS SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER RECALL AS THE PREVIOUS MODELS ARE. I AM FUMING!
I WAS EXPERIENCING THE SMALL OF EXHAUST IN MY VEHICLE RECENTLY. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY LET ME KNOW THAT IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE IN EXPLORERS FOR MODEL YEARS 2011-2017, BUT MY VIN NUMBER ISN'T COVERED BY THE SERVICE BULLETIN OR SAFETY RECALL. I DID PROCEED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED, THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME TO CONTACT FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE CONTACTED THEM, THEY ALSO REITERATED THE SAME INFORMATION--THAT IT IS A KNOWN ISSUED, BUT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT INCLUDED AS ONE WHERE THIS WOULD BE A CONCERN. I AM CONFUSED BY THIS AS I DID UNKNOWINGLY EXPERIENCE THESE FUMES IN THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE, THE DEALERSHIP HAD TO PARTIALLY TAKE THE CAR APART TO SEAL VARIOUS AREAS, ETC.
I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 20S62/HNTSA RECALL 20V-675. HOWEVER IT ISN'T IN ANY SYSTEM. I AM TRYING TO DETERMINE IF I ACTUALLY DO OR DON'T HAVE A SAFETY RECALL. I HAVE CALLED THE FORD CORPORATE OFFICE, BUT I CAN'T TALK TO A PERSON SO I CAN'T GET AN ANSWER FROM THE ISSUING OFFICE. PLEASE HELP!!

THE CONTACT CALLED BOGGUS FORD HARLINGEN (2521 S EXPRESSWAY 83, HARLINGEN, TX 78550, (956) 423-2580) AND WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED.
ON NOVEMBER 8, 2020 I WAS PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVE WAY TO LEAVE MY HOUSE AND NOTICED A GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT END, IT WAS VERY LOUD, AND CAUSED ME TO HAVE LOSS OF CONTROL OVER THE CARS STEERING; ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING WHEEL LEFT AND RIGHT AT LOWER SPEEDS AND ON SHARP TURNS. (THE WHEELS DO NOT STRAIGHTEN OUT OR RETURN TO CENTER WHEN EXITING A TURN AND WILL THEN OVER COMPENSATE AND VEER TO THE RIGHT AFTER HAVING TO MANUALLY TURN THE WHEEL BACK.) WE TOOK IT TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER. AFTER REVIEWING MY EXPLORER THEY STATED THAT THE RACK AND PINION WAS BAD AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ASAP DUE TO THIS BEING A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND WE SHOULDN'T WAIT TO GET IT REPLACED TOTAL COST FOR THE JOB WOULD BE $4,284.59. I CALLED FORD COOPERATE AND EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT CAME ON SUDDENLY WITH OUT WARNING. I WAS MADE AWARE THAT THE PREVIOUS YEARS 2011-2013 HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS SAME ISSUE, AND THAT THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THE 2014 AND 2015 HAVING THE SAME ISSUE BUT WITH ONLY A "WARNING" BEING PLACED ON THEM, NOT A RECALL FOR THE 2014 OR 2015. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY YEAR DOESN'T HAVE A RECALL AND STATED I COULD OPEN A CASE AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE NHTSA AND THAT WAS ALL I COULD DO, BUT IF A RECALL WAS OFFERED IN THE FUTURE I COULD POSSIBLE GET REIMBURSED. WHEN WE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALER, THEY INFORMED US THAT THERE WAS A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE TOE LINK THAT CAN AFFECT THE STEERING BUT NOT A RECALL ON THE RACK. THIS STEERING RACK ISSUE POSES A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. PLEASE CONSIDER WORKING WITH FORD TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF ALL WHO DRIVE THE 2014 EXPLORER AND PLACE A RECALL ON THIS ITEM ASAP. HI MY NAME IS [XXX]. I PURCHASED THIS 2014 FORD EXPLORER FROM A CERTIFIED FORD GARAGE MECHANIC THIS SUMMER. THE PRIVATE PARTY PURCHASE WAS IN JUNE 2020 WITH 89,XXX MILES. THE SELLER SHOWED ME EVERY REPAIR, OIL CHANGE, BRAKES ETC. WERE DONE IN A FORD GARAGE. TEN THOUSAND MILES LATER THE VEHICLE SNAPPED A TOE LINK LATERAL ARM DRIVING DOWN A SMOOTH HIGHWAY 60MPH! THE VEHICLE SWERVED AND MY WIFE AND 2 YOUNG KIDS WERE IN DANGER.. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED, FOR THE WHEEL WAS TIPPED IN AND NOT STABLE...FLAT BED TOW $100 OUT OF POCKET... FORD OF HIBBING DEALER SAID THE VEHICLE WAS NOT RECALLED AND THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TIME TO REPAIR FOR OVER A MONTH.. THEY SOLD ME THE FACTORY FORD TOE LINK THAT WAS THE "FIX" UPGRADE... WITH ALL THE DEALERS AND LOCAL AUTO SHOPS WAY WAY BEHIND AND SHORT HANDED I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED AGAIN FOR $100 OUT OF POCKET TO MY GARAGE.. I WENT TO TECH SCHOOL OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL FOR AUTO MECHANIC AND RECEIVED A 2 YEAR DEGREE AND PREVIOUSLY WAS A AUTO MECHANIC FOR 10 PLUS YEARS.. ANYWAYS BEYOND THAT POINT I REPLACED THE TOE LINK IN MY SHOP AND INSPECTED OTHER POINTS.. AFTER I REPLACED THE LINK I WAS ABLE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A LOCAL TIRE AND ALIGNMENT SHOP IN HIBBING MN (IRON RANGE TIRE) WHICH THEY THAN PROFESSIONALLY ALIGNED AND TIGHTENED THE REAR SUSPENSION. 100 MILES LATER HAPPENS AGAIN TO MY WIFE AND KIDS DOWN THE HIGHWAY!! BOTH FRONT AND REAR CATALYTIC CONVERTERS FAILED AND WERE REPLACED BY SERVICE REPAIR FACILITY.
AS I WAS DRIVING, THANKFULLY AT A SLOW SPEED, AND MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN THERE WAS A COMPLETE FAILURE OF POWER STEERING. I LOSS COMPLETE CONTROL OF STEERING AND WENT INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. WHEN FAILURE OCCURRED, SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS SIMULTANEOUSLY POPPED UP BUT AS I WAS UNDER THE DURESS OF TRYING TO AVOID A COLLISION, I DO NOT HAVE A COMPLETE LIST BUT I DID SEE THE STEERING ASSIST SYSTEM FAILURE AND REQUIRES SERVICE ALL BLINKING RED. THERE WERE NO ADVERSE ROAD CONDITIONS NOR DRIVING STYLE AND ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING WHATSOEVER. THE VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 93,000 MILES. I HAD TO COVER THE COST TO TOW THE CAR TO A FORD DEALER SHOP AND THEY TELL ME THAT THE ISSUE CANNOT BE REPLICATED BUT THEY BELIEVE IT IS A RACK AND PINION AND STEERING/COLUMN FAILURE AND ARE QUOTING ME OVER 2500 FOR REPAIRS. AS THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN HAPPENING TO HUNDRED IF NOT THOUSANDS OF OWNERS OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL, YEARS 2011-2014 AND 2015-2017 (IF NOT LATER) FALL UNDER THIS SAME FAILURE RECALL, THIS MATTER NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. I FEAR GETTING BEHIND THE WHEEL OF THIS CAR AND AM LUCKY THAT I DID NOT CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS VEHICLE FAILURE.

SEVERAL WARNINGS IMMEDIATELY POPPED UP INCLUDING STEERING ASSIST SYSTEM FAILURE, SERVICE REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY. UPON INVESTIGATION IT APPEARS THIS ISSUE WAS COVERED (VIA RECALL) IN YEAR MODELS 2011-2013 AND 2015-2017. FOR SOME REASON VIN'S FROM 2014 WERE OMITTED FROM THE RECALL YET I AM FAR FROM THE ONLY PERSON EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THESE 2014 MODELS. WE LOVE OUR EXPLORER BUT I AM AFRAID TO LET MY WIFE OR DAUGHTER DRIVE IT NOW. THE REPAIR IS GOING TO COST ME APPROX $3,000 PLUS THE COST OF HAVING IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY FORD AND NHTSA AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THIS YEAR MODEL BEING OMITTED FROM THIS RECALL IS AN INCREDIBLE OVERSIGHT. THE PLASTIC TRIM PIECE ALONG THE FRONT WINDSHIELD, DRIVER SIDE IS LIFTING ALSO, I HAVE TRIED TO RE-GLUE SEVERAL TIMES BUT DOES NOT SEEM TO LAST. THIS SHOULD BE FIXED BY FORD, I HAVE READ A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS. THESE POSE A SAFETY ISSUE IF THE PLASTIC TRIM PIECE BLOWS OFF ON THE HIGHWAY.
POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. MULTIPLE WARNING MESSAGES APPEAR IN THE DASH UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE. THIS APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE. THERE IS A RECALL FOR PREVIOUS YEAR MODELS OF THIS CAR WITH THE SAME STEERING SYSTEM.

THE CONTACT HAD A POLICE OFFICER DIRECT HER TO FURTHER PULL HER VEHICLE COMPLETELY OUT OF THE LANE FROM ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER APPROVED BY HER INSURANCE COMPANY. THE LIGHT SEEMS TO FUCUS MUCH LIGHT TO THE TREE TOPS INSTEAD OF CONCENTRATING THE LIGHT IN FRONT. I AM NOT A COON HUNTER AND DI NOT TO ILLUMINATE THE TREES WHEN I DRIVE.
