PURCHASED 2014 FORD EXPLORER JULY 20, 2014 - JULY 26,2014 - I WAS PULLING AWAY FROM DRIVE THRU PHARMACY AND MY DASH LIGHTS WENT BLACK. TOOK MY VEHICLE INTO SERVICE THE NEXT MORNING - THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK 6 MORE TIMES. ONCE AGAIN FOR LOOSING ALL DASH LIGHTS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD - SINCE THEN, MY LIGHTING IN MY VEHICLE DOES NOT LIGHT UP AS IT USE TO. SOMETIMES MY DASH LIGHTS COME ON WHEN OPENING THE DRIVER DOOR, SOMETIMES THEY DO NOT - SOMETIMES MY LCD SCREEN WILL LIGHT UP, SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ONCE, BUT I FEEL THERE IS STILL AN ISSUE. IT ALL MY DASH LIGHTS LIT UP FOR THE FIRST 6 DAYS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE, WHY WOULD THEY NOT ALL LIGHT UP NOW AFTER THE INCIDENT OF LOSING THE DASH LIGHTS??? I HAVE ASKED FOR A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE - AS AFTER SPEAKING WITH AN ATTORNEY I HAVE A LEMON LAW CLAIM, A SAFETY CLAIM, AND A WARRANTY CLAIM. IF MY VEHICLE DOES NOT GET REPLACED OR SOME MONEY BACK FROM FORD - AS I HAVE DROVE MY CAR FOR 13 FULL DAYS OUT OF A MONTH - I WILL BE TAKING THIS TO COURT AS I CAN ONLY SEE FURTHER ISSUES DOWN THE ROAD. *TR
WHEN ACCELERATING VEHICLE WITH THE AC ON, AND IN INTERNAL AIR MODE, THERE IS A SMELL LIKE BURNT RUBBER, OR FUMES THAT FILL THE ENTIRE CAR. I HAVE TO AVOID ACCELERATING TOO FAST, OR TURN OFF THE AC BEFORE HAND TO PREVENT FUMES FROM ENTERING CAR. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2013. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST CAUSE IT WAS NEW, BUT AS IT'S STILL HAPPENING, AND OTHERS ARE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM, I AM REPORTING IT.
FORD EXPLORER CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ! CARBON MONOXIDE EMISSIONS BUILDING UP INSIDE DRIVER AND PASSENGER COMPARTMENT/AREAS ? THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS AND UNHEALTHY PROBLEM FOR FORD OWNERS WITH THESE VEHICLES ! I HAVE BEEN PART OF THE CLASS ACTION LAW FROM THE BEGINNING AND NOTHING IS HAPPENING TO SETTLE THE PROBLEM? MY FORD DEALERSHIP (FLAMMER FORD OF SPRING HILL )HAS TOLD ME FOR ALMOST THREE YEARS THAT FORD HAS NOT COME UP WITH A FIX SO WE KEEP DRIVING AND USING A VEHICLE THAT IS UNHEALTHY . I AND MY WIFE TAKE THE BRUNT OF THE SICKENING ODER FROM THE EXHAUST FUMES BACKING UP INSIDE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO TRADE IN FOR NEW AND SOMEONE ELSE GETS SICK OR DIES FROM THE CARBON MONOXIDE FUMES ? FORD HAS STATED UNDER OATH THAT THEY CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM ? I HAVE THAT DOCUMENT ! I HAVE WRITTEN FORD TWO OR THREE TIMES AND THEY ALWAYS REFER ME BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY IN RETURN TELL ME THERE IS NO FIX FOR PROBLEM ! WE NEED SOME TYPE OF CONSIDERATION FOR THE BIG LOSS IN THE VALUE OF EXPLORER AND AGAIN I DON'T WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO DEAL OR HAVE TO PUT UP WITH SAME SERIOUS PROBLEM.
FIRST INCIDENT: PARKED CAR AT GAS STATION FUEL PUMP, WHEN WE GOT IN TO MOVE THE CAR IT DID NOT HAVE POWER STEERING. WRESTLED THE CAR TO THE FRONT OF THE GAS STORE AND WENT INSIDE, WHEN WE RETURNED TO THE CAR AND STARTED IT, THE POWER STEERING WORKED. SECOND INCIDENT: JULY 18,2014, SAME THING HAPPENED AFTER A STOP AT A STORE. POWER STEERING COMPLETELY OUT ADVANCE TRACK LIGHT STAYS ON. HAD TO GET TOWED. FIX TOOK FOUR WEEK WORK DAYS. THE INVOICE SAYS EB5Z*3504*A GEAR ASM-STEERING WAS REPLACED. *TR
PANEL BELOW REAR WINDOW CRACKED. NOT DUE TO ACCIDENT OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF ABUSE. *TR
A-PILLAR APPLIQUE TRIM on both sides of windshield have blown off in traffic. Water is getting vehicle.
EXTERIOR A-PILLAR APPLIQUE TRIM CLIP ATTACHMENTS ARE NOT PROPERLY ENGAGED DUE TO IMPROPER ASSEMBLY OR REPAIR. REAER TOE LINK REAR TIRES TILTED INWARD due to potential fractures from corrosion or broken welds on TOE LINK.
