0IL PAN HAS PREMATURELY RUSTED FROM INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. ALSO, DEVELOPED BUBBLES WHICH HAS RESULTED IN OIL LEAKAGE. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS.*AK
PER FORD MOTOR COMPANY, THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED BY OTHERS OWNING A 1994 F150, HOW MANY COMPLAINTS DOES IT TAKE TO WARRENT A RECALL FOR THIS TYPE OF SAFETY ISSUE? IN OUR CASE, FUEL WAS POURING OUT OF THE GAS CAP, CAUSING A HUGE GAS LEAK. WE WERE LUCKY A FIRE DIDN'T START WITH OUR 2 SMALL CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE.
WHILE FUEL IS IN 2ND TANK IT WOULD FILL UP FIRST TANK, CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK OUT.*AK CONSUMER STATED WHICH EVER TANK IS ON, IT WOULD PUT FUEL INTO TANK THAT WAS NOT BEING USED, THEN IT WOULD OVERFLOW OUT BY THE CAP.*SLC
FUEL IS PUMPED TO THE FRONT TANK FROM THE BACK TANK, CAUSING THE FRONT TANK TO OVERFLOW. I KNOW THIS WAS A RECALL ON OTHER YEAR VEHICLES, BUT FORD WILL NOT HONOR MY REQUEST FOR A REPLACEMENT.
WHILE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED AND GOING DOWN HILL SPEED INCREASED TO 90 MPH. WHEN REACHING BOTTOM OF THE HILL STILL MOVING AT 90MPH. SHIFTED GEAR INTO NEUTRAL TO STOP VEHICLE, ALSO WENT UNDER HOOD TO DISENGAGE WIRING FOR CRUISE CONTROL. *AK DEPRESSING BRAKES OR PRESSING THE CRUISE CONTROL COULD NOT DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL. *YH
VEHICLE IS PARKED ON AN INCLINE AND EMERGENCY BRAKE ACTIVATED. THERE WAS A GRINDING NOISE MADE BY THE BRAKES, AND VEHICLE BEGINS TO MOVE DOWNHILL. DEALERSHIP INFORMED CONSUMER THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL CAMPAIGN 94V1690001, AND HAS NOT EXAMINED VEHICLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE OF PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / DOCUMENTATION.*AK
IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE CLOCK SPRING IN THE STEERING COLUMN IS DEFECTIVE ON THIS PARTICULAR PICK-UP TRUCK. I HAVE TALKED WITH OTHER TRUCK OWNERS THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. IT INVOLVES THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT, THE TURN SIGNALS, AND THE CRUISE CONTROL. IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE DEALT WITH BY THE MANUFACTURER. *AK
VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO GEAR WHILE PARKED ON AN INCLINE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
AFTER PARKING VEHICLE AND WITHOUT WARNING TRUCK CAUGHT ON FIRE, RESULTING IN TOTAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE.*AK
HORN AND CRUISE CONTROL ARE INOPERABLE. AIR BAG LIGHT BLINKS ON AND OFF.*AK
MY 1994 F150 PICKUP TRUCK WAS TAKEN IN FOR SERVICE AND WAS FOUND TO HAVE AN OIL PAN GAKET LEAKING. THE LEAK WAS DISCOVERD IN MARCH OF 2002. I HAD HERD FROM A LOCAL NEWS STATION THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAD A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. I NOTIFIED FORD AND WAS TOLD THAT THAY HAD NO INFORMATION I FEEL FORD SHOULD CORRECT THIS PROBLEM DO TO THE FACT THE GASKET IS DEFECTED, ALSO ITS A DANGER WITH OIL LEAKING ON THE HOT EXAUST WHICH MAY CAUSE A FIRE. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING 25 MPH AND WITHOUT WARNING RIGHT TORSION BAR SNAPPED IN HALF, CAUSING VEHICLE TO BECOME INOPERABLE.*AK *SLC
THE OIL PAN RUSTED THROUGH, AND LEAKED ENGINE OIL OVER THE ROAD AND IN THE GARAGE. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIR. MR SCC *JB
CONSUMER STATES WHILE TRAVELING AIR BAG INDICATION LIGHT FLASHED INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
CONSUMER NOTICED VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK. CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO USE PARK BRAKE.*AK
CONSUMER NOTICED BRAKE FLUID ON ELECTORAL WIRES UNDER MASTER CYLINDER WHILE TRAVELING CONSUMER NOTICED AN ORANGE GLOW COMING FROM UNDER HOOD, VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE. *AK
THE CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH CAUGHT ON FIRE UNDER THE HOOD WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. THE FIRE WAS FUELED BY BRAKE FLUID AND ALL DAMAGE WAS CONFINE TO THE CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY THE DRIVER. THE TORQUE CONVERTER LOCKED UP. *CB *NLM
RIGHT REAR TIRE TREAD SEPARATED WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH. CAUSE OF THE SEPARATION WAS UNDETERMINED. *AK
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE AS STATED IN RECALL 93V125000 CONCERNING FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY. BUT, THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK
FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRES SIMULTANEOUSLY BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH. AS A RESULT, DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND IMPACTED A GUARD RAIL. UPON IMPACT OF THE GUARD RAIL VEHICLE SPUN SEVERAL TIMES. THE TRUCK WAS TOTALED. DRIVER SUSTAINED HEAD, BACK, AND FOREARM INJURIES. *AK
THE OUTPUT WIRES TO THE ALTERNATOR GROUNDED OUT AGAINST THE AIR PUMP AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. CONSUMER SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING, AND SAW SMOKE COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED. *AK
