TELEPHONE TO FORD STATES, SEVERAL HAVE THIS PROBLEM, EXCESSIVE BUILDUP OF CARBON IN EXHAUST MANIFOLD. EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERS REPAIR (DESIGN FLAW). *JB
WHEN VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR RECALL 00V348000 CONCERNING SEAT BELT RETRACTOR THE PART WASN'T DEFECTIVE, AND IT WASN'T REPLACED.CURRENTLY, RECALL PART IS DEFECTIVE. DEALERSHIP IS REFUSING TO REPLACE IT.*AK
CONSUMER STATES WHILE TRAVELING AT 75 MPH LOST COMPLETE ACCELERATION. VEHICLE WOULD ONLY FUNCTION IN FIRST GEAR. DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM. *AK

WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AND WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING VEHICLE WILL SHUT DOWN. *AK
I HAVE OWNED MY TRUCK FOR 15 MONTHS, AND RECENTLY I HAVE A SEVERE VIBRATION AT SPEEDS OF 40-45 MPH. I BROUGHT INTO THE SHOP 4 TIMES, THE LAST TIME BEING TOWED IN, BECAUSE IT SHOOK SO BAD, I WAS SCARED TO DRIVE IT. I REPLACED ALL FOUR TIRES AND THAT DIDN'T EVEN HELP. I HAVE CALLED FORD ON MANY ATEMPTS, TO INFORM THEM OF THIS PROBLEM, ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS I HAVE HAD. THEIR RESPONSE WAS, OH WELL. I JUST LEARNED TODAY, THAT THE SEVERE VIBRATION IS COMMON IN THESE TRUCKS. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS, I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE. IT IT EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I WAS ALSO TOLD THERE IS A WEIGHT OR SOMETHING THAT CAN BE INSTALLED TO HELP THE VIBRATION. IF THIS IS TRUE, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IT IS AND HOW I CAN GET IT.*AK
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE MANNING FOLD BRACKET FELL DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY. BUT BEFORE IT FELL HIT THE GAS CABLE ACCELERATOR. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE SPARK PLUG BLEW OUT OF THE HEAD AT NORMAL OPERATING SPEED (40MPH). THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AMONG THE FORD F150 TRITON V8 ENGINES (HAVING REVIEWED SEVERAL INTERNET WEB SITES). THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW WHERE THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE CYLINDER OVERHEATS AND CAUSES THE SPARKPLUG TO BLOW OUT OF THE CYLINDER HEAD. CONSUMERS MUST BE MADE AWARE OF THIS SITUATION AND FORD NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. IF I WERE ON THE FREEWAY WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE TRUCK WHEN THIS FAILURE OCCURED I SHUDDER TO THINK OF WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. SHAME ON FORD!!!*AK
CONSUMER STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING THERE WOULD BE A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
LEFT FRONT WHEEL SIEZED UP WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY JUST AFTER ABS LIGHT CAME ON, TRUCK PULLED TO LEFT, VEHICLE COULD HAVE ROLLED OVER KILLING US. DESTROYED TIRE AND CALLIPER AND SEAL MATERIAL CAUGHT FIRE.*AK
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHEN HIT IN THE FRONT CENTER OF THE VEHICLE, THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK THE AIR BAG(S) DID NOT DEPLOY AT 50 MPH. THE FORD DEALER STATED THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM DUE TO THE SEVERED BATTERY CABLES. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED IN FRONT OF THE CONSUMER. THE PRIMARY IMPACT WAS ON THE FRONT MIDDLE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. *SCC *JB
I AM EXPERIENCING A SERIOUS SURGE PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SURGE 5 TIMES SINCE I FIRST PURCHASE THE VEHICLE OVER 18 MONTHS AGO, AND I HAVE EXPERIENCED IT TWICE IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS. I MOST RECENTLY WAS NEARLY INVOLVED IN A REAR-END COLLISION AND I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES SHALL THIS SURGE OCCUR DURING ANY EXTREMELY HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION, SUCH AS STRIKING A PEDESTRIAN. I AM A MEMBER OF A FORD ENTHUSIAST WEBSITE AND THERE ARE MANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS WITH THE SAME VEHICLE WHO ARE ALSO EXPERIENCING THE SAME DEFECT. AFTER OWNING THE NEW VEHICLE FROM 2001 UNTIL 2003, THE VEHICLE RAN PERFECT. HOWEVER, AFTER THAT TIME I NOTICED A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE "LOPING" WHILE SITTING IDLE AT STOP LIGHTS/STOP SIGNS WITH IT IN DRIVE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS AND AC ON. EVEN THOUGH I TURN THE LIGHTS AND AC OFF AND TRY IT, THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO A FORD DEALERSHIPS, THEY CHARGED ME OVER $100 FOR REPLACING A SENSOR, WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM UNLESS THEY COULD HOOK UP THE TEST EQUIPMENT AND OBSERVE THE READINGS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. FINDING THIS ANSWER UNACCEPTABLE, I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP THAT BASICALLY TOLD ME THE SAME THING. TO THIS DAY, IT'S STILL LOPING AT INTERSECTIONS. NOW, I HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL WHEN I ARRIVE AT AN STOP LIGHT TO STOP THE "LOPING." IT'S PRETTY SAD WHEN THE MECHANICS AT FORD AREN'T ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM, OR THE CORPORATE OFFICE BLOWS YOU OFF AND "STICKS BY THEIR DEALERSHIPS" INSTEAD OF ASSISTING THEIR CUSTOMERS (NOW EX-CUSTOMERS). *TR
2001 FORD F-150 CRANK NO START CONDITION.BETWEEN JUNE AND AUGUST OF 2003 MY FORD F-150 HAS BEEN TOWED IN THREE TIMES AND NOT STARTED AT LEAST TWO DOZEN TIMES. THE FIRST DEALER REPLACED THE MAIN FUEL RELAY. THE SECOND TIME IT WAS TOWED TO ANOTHER DEALER AND AFTER FIVE DAYS COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM, AND I PICKED THE TRUCK UP. TWO DAYS LATER THE SAME THING, THIS TIME I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED TO MY HOUSE. A FEW HOURS LATER IT STARTED. AT THIS POINT I'M GETTING VERY IRRITATED. AFTER GOING BACK THRU THIS WHOLE THING I STARTED THINKING IT HAD TO BE THIS MAIN FUEL RELAY AND DECIDED TO DO SOME TESTING ON MY OWN. I WORK IN ELECTRONICS AND SO I GOT A COUPLE TYCO RELAYS AND A CAN OF FREEZE SPRAY. THE NEXT TIME THIS HAPPENED I PULLED THE FORD RELAY AND REPLACED IT WITH A NEW ONE - THE TRUCK STARTED RIGHT UP. THE NEXT TIME I GET THE CAN OF FREEZE SPRAY OUT AND COOL THE RELAY AND THE TRUCK STARTS UP. IM FINDING THIS TO BE WARM WEATHER RELATED AND EVERY TIME IT GET HOT OUTSIDE I CAN PLAN ON THE TRUCK NOT STARTING AFTER DRIVING A SHORT TIME AND THEN SHUTTING OFF. IF THE TRUCK SITS BY ITSELF LONG ENOUGH FOR THE RELAY TO COOL DOWN IT WILL START I THINK FORD SHOULD COME UP WILL A LONG TERM FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM INSTEAD OF REPLACING RELAYS.*AK
THIS MAY BE A MOOT POINT BECAUSE THE TRUCK (2001 F-150 SUPERCREW XLT 4WD) I HAD OWNED (TRADED IT IN FOR A 2003 FORD SUPERCREW WHICH ALSO EXHIBITS VERY SIMILAR PROBLEMS) HAD SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING IN ADDITION TO THE DRIVER SEATBELT BECOMING DISENGAGED WHILE DRIVING NORMALLY. I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE SEATBELT WOULD DISENGAGE ALL BY ITSELF. I EVEN HAD WITNESSES TO THE FACT. I ASKED FOR THE SERVICE TO ADDRESS IT; HOWEVER, THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS SERIOUS AS WHAT ARE SEATBELTS FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE. ALSO HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE PAINT CRACKING OR SPIDERING. FORD REGIONAL PERSONNEL FROM DENVER WANTED TO REPAINT THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE HOW IT WOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED. THIS WENT ON FOR OVER 4 MONTHS. THAT IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS IN ADDITION TO THE STEERING PROBLEMS DESCRIBED PREVIOUSLY I HAD GET RID OF THE PROBLEM SUPERCREW I HAD PURCHASED. *LA RQ04011.*PCO OWNER GRANTED PERMISSION TO RELEASE INFO_*PCO
WHILE DRIVING, THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE MADE A LOUD NOISE. THE CONSUMER PULLED OVER AND DISCOVERED THE TREAD HAD SEPARATED FROM THE TIRE. *JB

1. DRIVING ALONG NORMALLY WHEN A SPARK PLUG BLEW OUT OF PASSENGER SIDE HEAD ON MY 2001 FORD LIGHTNING. 2. HAD TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN HEAVY TRAFFIC & WAIT ~2 HOURS FOR A TOW TRUCK & ANOTHER DAY TO HEAR ANYTHING FROM THE DEALERSHIP.*AK 3. VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, DEALER REPLACED PASSENGER SIDE CYLINDER HEAD.
ON THIS DATE I WAS SUMMONED TO PICK UP MY 2001 FORD SVT F 150 PICKUP FROM MC GILVRAY FORD IN ATHENS, TX AFTER REPLACEMENT OF MY ENGINE VALVE LASH ADJUSTERS HAD BEEN MADE IN AN ATTEMPT TO STOP RIGHT SIDE ENGINE TICKING. THE VEHICLE STILL MADE THE NOISE AND I GOT THE MECHANIC TO LISTEN. I ASKED HIM IF THEY CHECKED THE SPARK PLUGS BECAUSE THEY ARE KNOWN TO LOOSEN ON THIS TYPE ENGINE DUE TO POOR ENGINEERING. THE MECHANIC DISMISSED MY CONCERN AND INFORMED ME OF THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE NOISE WAS AND THAT I'M SUPPOSED TO DRIVE IT A WHILE AND SEE IF THE NOISE LESSENS. 1 WEEK LATER THIS SAME VEHICLE BLEW A SPARK PLUG OUT THUS STRANDING ME ON THE HIGHWAY. I BELIEVE IT TO BE UNJUST THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY CAN SELL A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT TO THEIR CUSTOMER AND NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM IN THE ENGINE AND IT WOULD BE PROPER FOR FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO REPLACE THE PRODUCT WITH ONE THAT WILL NOT FAIL AGAIN. SUPPOSEDLY THERE IS AN IMPROVED VERSION OF THIS ENGINE HEAD, BUT THERE'S NO GUARANTEE THAT MY HEAD WILL BE REPLACED WITH THIS NEWER TYPE. THE OTHER HEAD NOW WILL ALSO BE SITTING THERE WAITING TO BLOW ALSO. *NLM
WHILE DRIVING, THE SUSPENSION BOLT SNAPPED. *JB
THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE HAD A SLOW AIR LEAK. FURTHER INSPECTION SHOWED A SMALL PUNCTURE IN THE TIRE. *NLM *PH *JB
THE STEERING WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. *NLM
I HAVE A 2001 F150 SUPERCREW WITH A 5.4 AUTOMATIC 4X4 TOWPACKAGE. SINCE THE TRUCK WAS NEW I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH IT CONSUMING OIL, ON AN AVERAGE OF 3 QUARTS EVERY 3000 MILES. WHEN I WOULD TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP THEY WOULD CONTACT FORD AND RELAY A MESSAGE THAT IT WAS WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS. ON 5/13/03 I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO ONE OF THE DEALERSHIPS TELLING THEM THAT I WAS GOING TO PURSUE GOING TO A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY. THAT SAME DAY THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE PISTON RINGS WERE LINED UP AND HAVE LOST COMPRESSION. THE TRUCK IS CURRENTLY IN THE DEALERSHIP HAVING THE WHOLE BLOCK AND HEADS REBUILT. I AM ASHAMED THAT IT TOOK A THREAT TO FINALLY GET THEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH THE 5.4. *TT
ENGINE REBUILT DUE TO IT CONSUMING OIL THROUGH THE RINGS ON THE PISTONS. TRUCK WAS STILL BURNING OIL. IF LET TO SIT FOR MORE THAN 10 MIN. IT WOULD BLOW A HUGE CLOUD OF BLUE/GRAY SMOKE AND ACCORDING TO TOWNE FORD BLUE SMOKE WAS OIL. *TT
WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH OVERDRIVE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, TRANSMISSION SLIPPED WHILE SHIFTING FROM SECOND GEAR TO THIRD GEAR AND FROM THIRD GEAR TO FOURTH GEAR. ALSO, THERE WAS HESITATION AND RPMS INCREASED. DEALER REPLACED TRANSMISSION WITH A REBUILT ONE.*AK
WHILE DRIVING OVER 5/8 BLOCK OF WOOD AT 5MPH, BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED CAUSES DAMAGE/INJURY TO DRIVERS CHIN AND DAMAGE FRONT WINDSHIELD. *AK

WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR END COLLISION, PUSHING IT INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE HEAD ON. UPON IMPACT, DUAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. NO INJURIES REPORTED. *AK *MR
THE CONSUMER COMPLAINED THAT ON TWO OCCASIONS, THE SPARK PLUGS FAILED. WHEN THE SPARK PLUGS BLEW, THE ENTIRE HEAD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *JB

WHEN THE SPARK PLUGS BLEW, THE ENTIRE HEAD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *JB THE CONSUMERS WIFE WAS DRIVING WHEN THE INCIDENTS OCCURRED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE HEAD WITHIN 12KMILES IN WHICH IT BLEW ANOTHER SPARK PLUG OUT OF THE OTHER HEAD. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS FROM AN INTERNAL BACKFIRE THAT WAS SO STRONG THAT IT BLEW PLUGS OUT. THE CONSUMER WAS AWARE OF OTHERS WHOM EXPERIENCED THAT SAME PROBLEM. 2001 F-150 HARLEY EDITION SUPER CREW - "CHROMED" INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE ON DRIVER SIDE CAME UP AT THE SEAM, AND CUT A CHUNK OF MY PINKY FINGER OFF. IT WAS SHARP AS AN EXACTO RAZOR BLADE. *JB
THE VEHICLE STALLED INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING WHEN DECELERATING TO A STOP. *JB
VEHICLE IS A 2001 FORD F150 PICKUP INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON INTO A TREE DUE TO BAD ROAD CONDITIONS, VEHICLE WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY. 15-20 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE HIT A TREE, AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, THE DRIVER PLUNGED INTO WINDSHIELD WHICH SHATTERED . THIS RESULTED IN HEAD INJURY, DRIVER ALSO SUFFERED HIP AND KNEE DAMAGE WHICH SHOULD TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS TO HEAL. VEHICLE SUFFERED MAJOR DAMAGE TO FRONT END AND FRAME WINDSHIELD AND DASH BOARD. VEHICLE CURRENTLY IN BODY SHOP DAMAGE APPRAISED AT APPROXIMATELY.$8000 MAJOR COMPLAINT IS OBVIOUSLY CONCERNING AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING WHICH I BELIEVED CAUSED THE EXTENSIVE PHYSICAL INJURIES. I INTEND TO CONTACT FORD MOTOR COMPANY. *JB
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHEN USING MY RIGHT TURN SIGNAL WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS RUNNING, THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID COMES ON AND STAYS ON CAUSING A BLINDING TURN. THE DEALER COULD NOT MAKE IT FAIL DURING SERVICE, HOWEVER IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST FIVE TIMES.*JB
DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE TREAD SEPARATED RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT.*MR WHILE DRIVING THE LEFT REAR TIRE TREAD SEPARATED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO FISHTAIL. THE DRIVER OVERCORRECTED TO THE RIGHT AND LEFT THE ROADWAY ONTO THE NORTH SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE ROTATED CLOCKWISE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE ROOF STRUCK A TREE. THE PASSENGER WAS EJECTED AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO REST IN A DITCH (FLORIDA TRAFFIC CRASH REPORT - THE CONSUMER WAS NOT THE DRIVER). *NLM
FRONT AND REAR BRAKES WERE OUT OF ROUND. FRONT WERE 1.022 AFTER CUT .994 USING A LATHE. REAR WERE .471 BEFORE CUT. 452 AFTER CUT. SALES REP TOLD ME IT WAS DUE TO CORROSION. REPLACED IGNITION SWITCH ON SEPT.12 2002 I LOST POWER ON MY POWER DOOR LOCKS WINDSHIELD WIPERS . *JB

I OWN A 2001 HARLEY F150 FORD TRUCK WHICH HAS A CONSISTANT PROBLEM, NOT DIAGNOSED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS BY DEALERS, THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUALLY POPS ON. I WAS TOLD THAT THE TRUCK HAD TO BE IN THE SHOP WHILE THE LIGHT WAS ON IN ORDER TO DIAGNOSE. SHOULDN'T THE COMPUTER RECORD THIS INFORMATION. IT'S STILL NOT FIXED AND NOW THE TRUCK IS OUT OF WARRANTY.*AK
LUCKILY I WAS DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT AND HAD JUST CROSSED A SPEED BUMP. MY SPARE TIRE FELL OFF THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TRUCK. THE SPARE TIRE CABLE HAD BROKEN. AS OF THIS DATE I HAVE NOT YET NOTIFIED THE DEALER. AS THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE I FULLY EXPECT FORD TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT. I COULD HAVE BEEN TRAVELING ON THE FREEWAY AND CAUSED A HUGE ACCIDENT WHEN THE CABLE BROKE AND DROPPED THE TIRE. *JB
VEHICLE SMOKES ALMOST EVERY TIME WHEN FIRST CRANKED UP. IS NOW BEGINNING TO SMOKE WHILE DRIVING SOME, ESPECIALLY WITHIN A FEW MINUTES OF CRANKING. VEHICLE STALLS MOSTLY IN AFTERNOON WHEN OUTSIDE TEMP IS ABOVE 70. VEHICLE HAS SLIGHT SHAKE AND VIBRATION WHEN DRIVING OR SITTING STILL WITH TRANSMISSION IN GEAR. VEHICLE MAKES CLUNKING NOISE AROUND FRONT TO FRONT LEFT SIDE IF ALLOWED TO COAST TO AROUND 20 MPH THEN ACCELERATING. *JB
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM AS STATED IN RECALL #01V258000, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.*JB
WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE, SUDDENLY THERE WAS A FIRE IN THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR. I HAD THE WIPERS ON AT A SLOW SPEED AS IT WAS MISTING OUTSIDE. I PUT THE FIRE OUR WITH SNOW FROM THE ROADSIDE. AS WE CONTINUED HOME THE RADIO WENT DEAD, THE BATTERY WENT TO LOW AND THE LIGHTS STARTED FLICKING ON AND OFF. AS A RESULT OF THE FIRE THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED, AND CONTINUED ALL THE WAY ACROSS FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER. I LUCKILY FOUND AN OPEN FORD DEALER THAT GAVE US A SMALL RENTAL AND REPAIRED THE TRUCK. *JB
THREE SPEED SENSOR HAD TO BE REPLACED, WHEN THE SENSORS FAILED IT CAUSED THE VEHICLE'S SPEEDOMETER NOT TO FUNCTION. THE FAILURE OF THE SENSORS ALSO CAUSED THE VEHICLE'S CLUSTER AND MAIN COMPUTER TO SHORT OUT.*JB
AT HIGHWAY SPEED (70 MPH) IN LEFT LANE OF 4 LANE DIVIDED HIGHWAY ( CONDITIONS DRY) WAS REQUIRED TO PERFORM EMERGENCY BRAKING DUE TO SLOW MOVING VEHICLE PULLING INTO OUR LANE. FELT ABS BRAKING (PULSING) FOR ABOUT 1-2 SECONDS AND THEN TRUCK WHIPPED 90 DEGREES TO THE RIGHT. SKIDDED ACROSS HIGHWAY, STRAIGHTEN UP, BUT SLID OFF RIGHT SHOULDER INTO DITCH. ONLY MINOR DAMAGE TO TRUCK. ON THE HIGHWAY THERE WAS VISIBLE A SKID MARK FOR RIGHT SIDE OF TRUCK AT THE POINT OF BRAKING (NO SKID MARKS FOR LEFT WHEELS) AND SKID MARK ACROSS THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 45 DEGREE ANGLE. TRUCK HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN TO DEALER TWICE IN PREVIOUS 2 MONTHS WITH COMPLAINT ABOUT BRAKES BEING ROUGH ON RELEASE. RETURNED TRUCK TO DEALER ON 2/15/03 AND DEALER KEPT UNTIL 2/19/03 AND REPORTED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES. MET WITH DEALER SERVICE MANAGER ON 3/3/03 AND SERVICE MANAGER AND FORD ENGINEER TODAY (3/4/03) AND WE COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM ON SEVERAL ATTEMPTS AT 50-60 MPH. ENGINEER ADMITTED THERE WERE ONLY A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT WOULD CAUSE RIGHT BRAKE TO LOCK UP, ABS MODULE OR CALIPER. ASKED WHAT I WANTED AND I ASKED THEM TO REPLACE ABS MODULE AND CALIPER. THEY REFUSED. *NLM

SPARK PLUGS COMING OUT OF HEADS ON MY 2001 FORD F150 LIGHTNING
2001 FORD F150 SUPERCREW. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO CHECK THE TIRE TREAD FOR EXCESSIVE WEAR AND FRONT ALIGMENT. FIRST DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS DUE TO AGGRESSIVE DRIVING. IN 2 YEARS I HAVE REPLACED THE BRAKES 5 TIMES, THE ROTORS 3 TIMES AND I AM ON MY 3RD SET OF CALIPERS.
