OWN A 2004 FORD F-150 4 DOOR. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THREE OF THE FOURPOWER WINDOW REGULATORS. ALL THREE WERE STILL UNDER WARRANTY ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION HESITATION/LOSS OF RPM/ WHILE DRIVING MORE SO ON THE FREEWAY WHEN THE RPM'S REACH ABOUT 1200/1500 OR LOSS OF RPM ON DECELERATION. THE DEALER WOULD NOT LOOK AT MY TRANNY. TRUCK WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. NOW 1 YEAR LATER MY TRANNY HAS GONE OUT. I HAVE NO WARRANTY AND NOT SURE HOW MUCH IT IS GOING TO COST TO GET REPLACED. I BELIEVE THIS ALL COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE DEALER WOULD HAVE JUST LOOKED AT MY TRANNY WHEN I ASKED WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. MILEAGE IS APPROX. 98,684. LESS THAN 99,000. *TR
DRIVER SIDE WINDOW MOTOR WITH REGULATOR. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS 2004 FORD F-150 TRUCK. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 30 MPH WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED AND THE CONTACT COASTED IN NEUTRAL GEAR ONTO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE ROADS WERE WET, YET, THEY PLAYED NO FACTOR IN THE VEHICLE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE DEALERS QUOTED A PRICE OF $300-$1800 TO REPLACE THE SPARK PLUGS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE REPAIR DID NOT FALL UNDER THE 100,000 MILE WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,100. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 60,300. UPDATED 03/26/10
I OWN A 2004 FORD F150. THE THIRD WINDOW REGULATOR WENT OUT TODAY AS I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE. THE WINDOW JUST DROPPED WITHOUT ANY PRIOR WARNING. MY GRANDDAUGHTER IS USUALLY SEATING BY THIS WINDOW IN HER CAR SEAT. FORTUNATELY SHE WAS NOT SITTING BY THE WINDOW THIS TIME. *TR
SPARK PLUG WAS EJECTED FROM THE ENGINE STRIPPING THE THREADS IN THE HEAD, AND CAUSING THE TRUCK TO DIE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. DEALERSHIP GAVE A BULLETIN REPORTING THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM, AND REPORTS THAT IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. FORD REFUSING TO HELP. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP REPAIR WILL COST $2,100. I WAS PICKING UP MY 3 YR. OLD DAUGHTER, AND IF THIS PROBLEM WOULD HAVE HAPPENED 10 MINUTES LATER I WOULD HAVE BEEN CROSSING A BUSY INTERSECTION WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE TRUCK. ONCE I GET ME TRUCK FIXED WHO IS TO SAY THAT ONE OF THE OTHER CYLINDERS WON'T DO THE SAME THING! I FEEL THE TRUCK IS UNSAFE TO HAVE MY DAUGHTER IN IT. WHAT IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED WHEN PULLING ONTO THE INTERSTATE. THE BULLETIN SAYS THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE 1997, WHEN IS SOMEONE GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE HELD RESPONSIBLE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNED A 2004 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO HIS VEHICLE HEAD ON AND THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE FACE AND A BROKEN JAW. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT AIR BAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY, EVEN IN THE EVENT OF A ROLLOVER CRASH. THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY DID NOT INVESTIGATE THE AIR BAG FAILURE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 70,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN MY WINDOW ON MY FORD F150 LARIAT CAME CRASHING DOWN TWO WEEKS AGO( MY CHILD WAS SITTING NEXT TO THE WINDOW SHE IS 6 MTHS OLD) & IT DISTRACTED ME LONG ENOUGH TO LOOK BACK @ THE ROAD & THERE WAS A CAR STOPPED TO MAKE A SUDDEN TURN & I COULDN'T SLOW DOWN FAST ENOUGH & I HIT THEM IN THE REAR. ITS STILL @ THE BODY SHOP BEING FIXED THE PROBLEM WAS THE WINDOW REGULATOR & IT IS BEING REPLACED BUT THE BODY SHOP MANAGER SAYS THESE GO OUT WAY TO MUCH THIS IS THE 3RD ONE REPLACED ON THIS TRUCK, SO I LOOKED ONLINE & COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM I THINK YOU SHOULD RESEARCH THIS & PUT A RECALL ON THEM & MAKE FORD FIX THEM FOR FREE THIS IS DEFINITELY CAUSED FROM FORD TRYING TO CUT CORNERS & SAVE $ BUT THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *TR

THE DRIVER, PASSENGER REAR AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE MOTORS HAVE ALL FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT BECAUSE THERE WERE NO RELATED RECALLS, HE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIR COSTS. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F150. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 15 MPH WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT OF HIS VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED EXTREME INJURIES AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL. THE DRIVER OF THE SECOND VEHICLE WAS NOT INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
MY WINDOW ROLLED UP THEN I HEARD A LOUD POP, AND THE WINDOW FELL DOWN INTO THE HOUSING. THE BUTTON WILL NOT ROLL UP THE WINDOW. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 FORD F150 TRUCK WITH ONLY ABOUT 60,000 MILES ON IT. MY PASSENGER WINDOW JUST SLID DOWN AS I WAS DRIVING! DID NOT PUSH ANY BUTTONS! OF COURSE I THEN TRIED TO ROLL THE WINDOW UP BUT IT WOULDN'T WORK. NOW MY WINDOW IS LEFT WIDE OPEN WHILE I HAVE TO WAIT TO GET IT FIXED! I HAD IT CHECKED OUT AND ITS THE REGULATOR THAT NEEDS REPLACED. I'VE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE MY REAR PASSENGER SIDE REGULATOR BUT I DIDN'T REALIZE THEN THAT IT WAS A DEFECT IN THE PART! TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F150. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS. THE "AIR BAG" WARNING LIGHT INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER AN OCCUPANT WAS POSITIONED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG SENSOR FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE PASSENGER SEAT REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED AT THIS TIME. THE CONTACT HAD CONCERN OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
THIS IS A FAILURE OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW FALLING DOWN INTO THE DOOR WHILE DRIVING. THIS SEAMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FOR THE FORD F-150 PICKUP. WHILE IT HAS NOT LEAD TO A CRASH TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THE POTENTIAL IS THERE. IMAGINE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE IN CROWED TRAFFIC AND YOUR WINDOW DROPS DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. YOUR ATTENTION WILL DEFINITELY BE DISTRACTED FROM YOUR DRIVING AND DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER THIS COULD BE EVEN MORE DANGEROUS. EVERYTHING I HAVE READ POINTS TO THE SAME PRODUCT FAILURE. I'M AN OWNER OF A 2004 FORD F150. I HAD A SITUATION WHERE MY DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW SLID DOWN ALL OF SUDDEN. FOUND THAT THE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR WENT BAD. I SAW OTHER COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE SAME YEAR TRUCK AND FAULTY WINDOW REGULATORS. *TR
ON DEC 31, 2008, WHILE DRIVING TO DINNER, I HEARD A LOUD NOISE AND ASSUMED SOMETHING HIT MY VEHICLE. MY WINDOW THEN BEGAN SLOWLY SLIDING DOWN. I WAS TOLD THAT THE REGULATOR WAS BROKEN AND I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE MECHANISM (REGULATOR AND MOTOR), I COULD ONLY GET THE PART THROUGH A FORD DEALERSHIP. THE COMPLETE REPAIR (PART AND LABOR) COST ME APPROX. $380.00. ON NOV 16, 2009 (11 MONTHS LATER) THE SAME THING AGAIN HAPPENS TO MY REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. I WAS NOT DRIVING THIS TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT MY HOME. I RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE STATING THAT I WOULD BE PAYING NEARLY THE SAME COST AS BEFORE. *TR
MY WINDOW REGULATORS IN MY F-150 HAVE FAILED THREE TIMES IN THE LAST 15 MONTHS. *TR
FAILURE OF POWER WINDOW REGULATOR. I HAVE REPLACED THE DRIVERS SIDE AND NOT 2 MONTHS LATER THE PASSENGER SIDE IS BROKEN. I BOTH CASES IT IS THE SAMETHING FAILING IN THE REGULATOR. *TR

TWO OF THE INCIDENTS HAVE OCCURRED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND ONE INCIDENT OCCUR WHEN VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND UNATTENDED. THE FORD F150 I BOUGHT NEW IN 2004 HAS DEFECTIVE WINDOW REGULATORS. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THREE SO FAR, TWO UNDER WARRANTY AND THE THIRD RECENTLY AT THE COST OF $435. THESE REGULATORS GO OUT AND THE WINDOW DROPS INTO THE DOOR. IT IS ALWAYS SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED AND IS QUITE A DISTRACTION. I AM FORTUNATE THIS HAS NEVER RESULTED IN MY HAVING AN ACCIDENT. *TR

2004 F-150, 4X4, 4.6L ENGINE. TRANSMISSION KEEPS SLIPPING. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 33,800 MILES ON IT, BUT THE TIME HAS EXPIRED FOR THE FACTORY WARRANTY. THIS OCCURS APPROXIMATELY EVERY FIFTEEN MILES OR SO. IT STARTED ONE TIME ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO AND QUICKLY WENT TO THE FORD SHOP FOR REPAIR. THEY "FIXED IT" THEY SAID, BUT ABOUT FIVE HUNDRED MILES LATER, YOU GUESSED IT, IT STARTED AGAIN. I HAVE READ A TON OF FORUMS SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THIS HAPPENING TO HUNDREDS OF OTHER VEHICLE OWNERS OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. PLEASE ASSIST WITH GETTING THIS PROBLEM FIXED AND SOME HELP IS HOLDING THEM RESPONSIBLE. THE SAME DEALERSHIP THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM (LOL) STATED THAT THEY FIXED IT AND THAT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING IT AGAIN, DESPITE IT ONLY BEING THREE MONTHS AGO. PLEASE HELP. *TR
MY FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW FELL INTO THE DOOR AS I WAS STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT WAITING TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY. FROM THE SOUND OF IT I THOUGHT THE WINDOW HAD BROKEN. IT WAS A GOOD THING I WASN'T DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY DURING THAT TIME. IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH (SPEED LIMIT), I HEARD A LOUD POP (SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT) THAT MADE ME SWERVE AND ALMOST LEAVE THE HIGHWAY. AFTER STABILIZING MY TRUCK, I REALIZED THAT THE CAUSE OF THE LOUD POP WAS A BROKEN WINDOW REGULATOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW FELL INTO THE DOOR PANEL ABNORMALLY AND EXHIBITED A LOUD BANG. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE WINDOW REGULATOR WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE REMAINING THREE WINDOWS REGULATORS WERE ALSO PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED BY THE DEALER DUE TO THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED WHO PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
ALL FOUR OF THE POWER WINDOW REGULATORS ON MY 2004 F-150 HAVE FAILED OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. I USE THE TRUCK FOR WORK AND GENERALLY TRAVEL ALONE SO THE NON-DRIVER WINDOWS GET VERY LITTLE USE. *TR
3 OUT OF 4 WINDOWS ON MY 2004 FORD F150 HAVE FALLEN DOWN BECAUSE OF WINDOW MOTOR REGULATOR FAILURE. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX THE PROBLEM! *TR
PASSENGER SIDE DOOR REGULATOR FAILED CAUSING THE DOOR GLASS TO FALL INTO THE DOOR .THE WINDOW FELL WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT HIGHWAY SPEED. IT FELL ALL OF A SUDDEN ON ITS OWN. THIS HAPPENED DURING A HEAVY RAIN. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING AFTER INTERNET RESEARCH THAT THIS IS A COMMON FAILURE FOR THIS MODEL FORD TRUCK AND I THINK IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 FORD F-150 CREW CAB. WITH MY CREW CAB THE REAR WINDOWS ARE CAPABLE OF BEING LOWERED TO THE TOP PORTION OF THE DOOR, AT ARM LEVEL. BOTH MY REAR WINDOWS AND NOW MY DRIVERS DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HAVE GONE OUT WITH THE WINDOWS SLAMMING DOWN WITHIN THE DOOR. I HAVE FOUR SMALL CHILDREN, 9, 7, 5, AND 3. AS THE WINDOWS HAVE FALLEN DOWN WITHOUT WARNING A SHADE FELL ONTO MY YOUNGEST, ALL DUE TO THE DEFECT OF THE REGULATOR IN THE F-150. THIS IS A MAJOR HAZARD AND I THINK THAT A RECALL IS IN PLACE TO MANDATE THAT FORD RECALL THIS ITEM AND FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
I PRESSED THE BUTTON TO OPEN THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW ON MY 2004 F150 TRUCK. THE WINDOW FELL COMPLETELY DOWN INTO THE DOOR AND WOULD NOT COME BACK UP WHEN I PRESSED THE "UP" BUTTON. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE WINDOW REGULATOR. *TR
UNEXPECTED FAILURE OF POWER WINDOW REGULATOR. THIS HAS OCCURRED 4 TIMES. AT THE TIME OF FAILURE THE WINDOW GLASS FREE FALLS INTO WINDOW CHANNEL, CAUSING AN EXPECTED RUSH ON AIR TO ENTER THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. R & R THE WINDOW REGULATOR. PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. *TR

LAST NIGHT I WAS DRIVING WITH MY SIX YR OLD DAUGHTER IN MY 2004 FORD F150, WHEN THE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR BROKE CAUSING THE WINDOW TO CRASH DOWN NEAR MY DAUGHTER. LUCKILY I WAS NEAR MY EXIT ON THE INTERSTATE AND PULLED OFF BEFORE ANYTHING HAPPENED. NEEDLESS TO SAY, MY DAUGHTER WAS SCARED TO DEATH. AFTER GETTING ONLINE, I REALIZED THIS IS A WELL KNOWN AND DOCUMENTED PROBLEM. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS BEFORE SOMEONE ACTUALLY GETS HURT IF THEY HAVEN'T ALREADY. THIS SAFETY CONCERN IS IN REGARDS TO THE POWER WINDOW REGULATORS FOUND IN MY 2004 FORD F-150. THE FIRST WINDOW REGULATOR (DRIVER'S SIDE) WENT OUT WHILE IN NORTH DAKOTA. THERE WAS NO WARNING JUST A LOUD POP, FOLLOWED BY THE WINDOW FALLING IN THE DOOR. THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR BROKE ONE WEEK LATER TO THE DAY. WHEN BOTH OF THESE BROKE, I WAS LEFT WITH NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY INSIDE THE CAB OF MY TRUCK WHILE DRIVING OR SITTING. IF THERE IS ANY SORT OF PRECIPITATION, YOU ARE NO LONGER PROTECTED. ALSO, THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY, PROPERTY, AND TRUCK HAS BEEN JEOPARDIZED. ANOTHER PROBLEM ARISES WHEN YOU GO TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO A FORD DEALERSHIP IN JAMESTOWN, NORTH DAKOTA WHO NEW OF THE PROBLEM AS SOON AS THEY SAW MY WINDOW. HOWEVER, THEY WERE GOING TO REPLACE THE REGULATOR WITH THE SAME PART THAT OBVIOUSLY HAS BUILT IN OBSOLESCENCE. WHY WOULD ANYONE PAY $400 TO FIX ONE WINDOW, ONLY TO HAVE IT BREAK DAYS LATER; LEAVING THEM STRANDED, HURT, OR WORSE. WITH LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET, AND MANY SUBMITTED ON THIS SITE, IT CONCERNS ME TO WONDER IF THIS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED A FATAL CRASH OR INCIDENT YET. MAYBE THIS IS WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM LOOKED AT IN DETAIL. IF FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS WILLING TO STAND BEHIND A PLASTIC WINDOW REGULATOR THAT HAS BROKE IN MY TRUCK TWICE, AND THOUSANDS OF OTHER SIMILAR TRUCKS, JUST TO SAVE A "BUCK" SO BE IT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 FORD F-150. WHILE USING THE CRUISE CONTROL AT 68 MPH HE ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. HE HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO DECELERATE. MY 2004 F150 HAS BEEN STRUCK BY THIS DEFECTIVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND I HEARD A THUMP AND MY REAR WINDOW FELL INTO THE DOOR. I BOUGHT A 2004 FORD F-150 SUPERCREW TRUCK LAST OCTOBER. WHEN I TOOK IT HOME FROM THE DEALER, I ROLLED DOWN THE PASSENGER-SIDE REAR WINDOW AND IT JUST DROPPED INSIDE THE DOOR. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY FIXED IT. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A RANDOM INCIDENT OR THAT IT JUST CAME OFF THE TRACK AND NO BIG DEAL. I HAD NO WARNING, DIDN'T HIT ANY BUTTON, AND SUDDENLY WONDERED WHERE THE WIND WAS COMING FROM. AT FIRST I THOUGHT MY KIDS ROLLED IT DOWN BUT HEY DIDN'T. I TRIED TO ROLL IT UP WITH THE POWER CONTROL BUTTON ON MY ARM-REST AND NOTHING HAPPENED. ALL I HEARD WAS A GRINDING SOUND AND REMEMBERED WHAT HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME AROUND AND WENT "AWWW GREAT!" THIS IS THE SECOND WINDOW IN A YEAR AND AFTER RESEARCHING HEAVILY ONLINE I DISCOVERED I'M NOT ALONE. I AM DUMBFOUNDED AS TO HOW THIS ISSUE WITH FORD WINDOW REGULATOR/MOTORS AND CABLE/PULLEY ASSEMBLIES HAS NOT FORCED A RECALL!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE WITH ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS POSTED WITH NHTSA AND ONLINE FORUMS? I HAVE A FORD 2004 F150 5.4 L TRITON ENGINE (3 VALVE) AND IT HAS 51,777 MILES ON IT AS OF TODAY. I CALLED DAVE SINCLAIR FORD TO CHECK ON HAVING THE SPARK PLUGS CHANGED. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THIS JOB IS HAS BEEN A MAJOR PROBLEM BECAUSE THE SPARK PLUGS DESIGNED AND MADE FOR THE 2004 MODEL BREAK OFF BECAUSE OF POOR DESIGN. THIS BREAKING OF THE SPARK PLUGS HAS BEEN ADDING ON 1000 TO 2000 EXTRA DOLLARS BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO TAKE SPECIAL MEASURES AND USE SPECIAL TOOLS TO FIX THIS ISSUE. FORD MOTOR CO. HAS HAD THE SPARK PLUG REDESIGNED AS OF 2006 AND HAS ALSO ISSUED A TSB SPECIAL INSTRUCTION FOR REMOVING THE DEFECTIVE PLUGS. THE TSB 06-15-2 CAN BE FOUND ON WWW.ETOOLCART.COM/06152.PDF . FORD HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEIR IS A PROBLEM HOWEVER, THEY WILL NOT OFFER TO COVER ALL OF THE EXTRA CHARGERS THAT ARE ADDED ON DUE TO THIS DEFECTIVE SPARK PLUG ISSUE. A RECALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN ISSUED AS SOON AS THEY CHANGED OUT THE SPARK PLUG DESIGN, ADDED THE TSB BULLETIN, OR WHEN THEY STARTED HAVING SPECIAL TOOLS MADE FOR THE JOB. FORD NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF ITS CONSUMERS AND OFFER A RECALL FOR ALL OF THE 5.4 L TRITON ENGINES THAT ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE CONTACTED MIKE DETWILER, SERVICE MANAGER, AT DAVE SINCLAIR FORD. BOTH REAR WINDOWS IN MY 2004 FORD F150 BROKE AT THE SAME TIME AND THE WINDOWS DROPPED TO THE FLOOR. I HAVE HAD THESE REPLACED TWICE ALREADY AND THEY KEEP BREAKING. I WAS JUST STING AT A LIGHT THEN HEARD SOMETHING LIKE A ROCK HIT THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK THEN THE WINDOW JUST DROPPED IT WAS THE CABLES THAT HOLD THE WINDOWS UP SNAPPING. I HAVE THREE VERY YOUNG CHILDREN AND LIVE WHERE THERE ARE EXTREME TEMPS. I CANNOT HAVE MY YOUNG CHILDREN EXPOSED TO THESE KIND OF ENVIRONMENTS.
