TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. HE WAS FORCED TO APPLY EXTREME PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE BRAKE FAILURE NEARLY CAUSED A CRASH TO OCCUR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION; HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE FAILURE OR PROVIDE A FREE REMEDY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 22000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. THE VEHICLE HAS CONTINENTAL GENERAL TIRES. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE ARRIVED AND CHANGED THE TIRE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER OF THE TIRE WERE NOTIFIED AND THEY BOTH STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE. THE CONTACT STILL HAS THE TIRE IN HIS POSSESSION. THE DOT NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 14,800 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT EXAMINED THE VEHICLE AFTER NOTICING TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING AND A BURNING SMELL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CASE FAILED DUE TO FAULTY STRIP THREADED PLUGS IN THE TRANSMISSION CASE AND THEY MADE THE REPLACEMENT. TRUCK ACCELERATED FROM 0 TO 25 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. HAD TO PUT IN NEUTRAL AND TURN OFF ENGINE BEFORE THE TRUCK WOULD STOP. EVEN WITH THE BRAKE APPLIED THE TRUCK WOULD NOT STOP. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULD FIND NO PROBLEM. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT DRIVES A 2007 FORD F150 COMPANY VEHICLE. HE NOTICED 3/4 INCH HOLE ON THE STEERING WHEEL. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH OR GREATER AND ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN HE FELT, HIS FINGER COULD BE SEVERED IF IT SLIPPED INTO HOLE. THE VIN AND ENGINE SIZE WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 5,347.

ANY OBJECT PLACED THERE DISTORTS, OR BLOCK MY VIEW TO ESPECIALLY RIGHT. IT IS UNSAFE CONDITION. OBSERVATION: THE SMALL FORD PICK UP DOES NOT HAVE THIS CONDITION. THE 2007 SLOPE APPEARS TO BE GREATER THAN 2000 MODELS. RIGHT REAR VIEW OUTSIDE MIRROR DOES NOT HAVE CARLITE IDENTIFICATION. HOWEVER, THIS RIGHT MIRROR NOT SAME AS LEFT. VIEW IN RIGHT MIRROR DISTORTS VIEW SO CARS ON RIGHT AND REAR WAY OFF IN DISTANCE WHEN THE CARS ARE ACTUALLY ABOUT REAR OF VEHICLE. I WANT SAME GLASS IN RIGHT REARVIEW MIRROR AS IN LEFT REARVIEW MIRROR. THIS IS UNSAFE MATTER TO ME THAT REQUIRES ME TO OBTAIN NEW GLASS FOR THAT RIGHT DISTORTED VIEW MIRROR.
THE A/C ON THIS TRUCK HAS ALWAYS BEEN WEAK. THE DEALER SAY IT IS OPERATING NORMALLY, BUT IT DOES NOT COOL THE TRUCK IN THE TEXAS HEAT. DEALER REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING MORE. *TR
BRAKE PEDAL WILL FADE TO FLOOR AFTER STOPPING. WILL FADE AFTER HOLDING PRESSURE ON PEDAL FOR A WHILE.NORMAL BRAKING SEEMS TO BE OK. FEEL VERY UNEASY PULLING A TRAILER.FORD REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER AND BLED SYSTEM,WHICH DID NOT HELP. MY DEALER IS NOW TELLING ME THIS NORMAL.

THE 2007 F-150 TRUCK WAS PURCHASED ON JULY 22,2007 IT HAS 4,000 MILES ON IT . WHILE DRIVING SAID TRUCK THE MOTOR QUIT AND LOST ALL STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. HAD IT TOWED TO THE CLOSEST DEALER NOT THE ONE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM. WHERE THEY SAID IT WAS THE COMPUTER. *TR

AFTER HAULING A BOAT OUT OF WATER, THE CONSUMER STATED HE MOVED THE ELECTRONIC SWITCH FROM 4L TO 2HI, WHICH WOULD BE THE NORMAL DRIVING POSITION APPLIED THE BRAKE AND SHIFTED THE CONSOLE SHIFTER TO PARK. THE ENGINE REMAINED RUNNING. HE EXITED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS BEGINNING TO MOVE. THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR, WHICH WAS OPEN, STRUCK HIM FROM BEHIND AND KNOCKED HIM DOWN. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ROLL. THE BOAT TRAILER JACKNIFED TO THE RIGHT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE, TRAILER, AND BOAT CRASHED INTO A FENCE, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STOP. HOWEVER, THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO HIS BACK, ARM, AND HAND. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 1,540 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,536. 2007 FORD F150 - UNWANTED ACCELERATION: WE HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR LESS THAN A MONTH AND HAVE HAD THREE INSTANCES OF UNWANTED ACCELERATION. WHILE BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND BRAKING FOR ENTERING THE ROADWAY, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STARTED REVVING VERY HIGH; TO STOP THIS WE HAD TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK. NEW FORD F150 WITH 648.5 MILES. WAS TOLD IT HAS A HEAD GASKET LEAK. WAS DOWN JULY 9 & 10 AND JULY 23 UNTIL ? FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAD NO PART TO FIX IT. WAS TOLD THAT WE WOULD GET BACK ON AUGUST 11, BUT STILL NO TRUCK. WAS TOLD THAT THERE ARE 8 OTHERS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY. IS THERE OTHER REPORTS ON THIS? WE ARE SCARED TO DEATH TO GET IT BACK AND DRIVE IT. IT KEPT SHOOTING OIL OR SOMETHING OUT ONTO OUR GARAGE FLOOR. *JB

PURCHASED NEW 7/3/07 FORD F-150 2WD: TRANSMISSIONS SHAFT SEAL BROKE AND TRANS FLUID LEAKED OUT WHEN DRIVE HOME. ON 9/10/08 TRANSMISSION BEARING WAS REPLACED AND MAIN CONTROL VALUE WAS OVERHAULED. *TR
AT 33K MILE MY 2007 F 150 WITH THE 5.4 LITER ENGINE HAD ENGINE FAILURE. THE ENGINE FAILED AS A RESULT OF A KNOW PROBLEM THAT FORD HAS WITH A BACK OF THE 5.4 LITER ENGINE HAVING TO MUCH END PLAY ON THE CAM SHAFT. AS A RESULT THE ENGINE WAS STARVED FOR OIL AND FAILED IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRIP. THE OIL PRESSURE DROPPED TO 0 WHEN THE ENGINE WAS FULL OF OIL. FORD'S SUGGESTION IS TO ONLY REPLACE HEADS WHEN THEY KNOW THAT THE ENGINE WAS STARVED FOR OIL. THEY WILL NOT OFFICIALLY ADMIT TO THE PROBLEM BUT SEVERAL FORD EMPLOYEES HAVE TOLD ME FORD IS AWARE OF THE SITUATION. THE ENGINE INITIALLY LOCKED UP AND WOULD NOT RE START. HAD THIS HAPPENED AT HIGH SPEED THE SITUATION COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY. *TR
I EXPERIENCED SEVERAL SCARY INSTANCES OF UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION WITH MY NEW F150. 1) AFTER DRIVING ~25 MILES, AND DRIVING IN DOWNTOWN TRAFFIC, THE TRUCK ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE WHILE STOPPED. THE TRUCK REVVED UP AND LUNGED FORWARD WHILE PEOPLE WERE WALKING IN FRONT OF TRUCK. I WAS FORCED TO PRESS THE BRAKE VERY HARD. THE PEOPLE WALKING WERE FRIGHTENED. 2) WHILE MOVING THE TRUCK IN THE DRIVEWAY, IT ACCELERATED QUICKLY, I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES, SKIDDING SEVERAL FEET. 3) HAD SEVERAL OTHER INSTANCES. WHEN I EXPLAINED TO DEALER, THE SENIOR SALESMAN TOLD ME I MUST HAVE HAD MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. THERE WAS NO CONCERN BY THE DEALER TO CHECK THIS OUT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO AUTOMATICALLY ACCELERATE. THE SPEEDOMETER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO 125 MPH. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL AND PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL IN ORDER TO DECELERATE. THE CONTACT HAD TO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND APPLY THE BRAKES IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 253.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH UPHILL, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING TO 120 MPH. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ACTIVATED AT THE TIME OF FAILURE. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. HE HAD TO APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE AND TURN OFF THE IGNITION TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE CLEAR. I FILLED THE TRUCK UP WITH GAS AND IT IS STILL SHOWING EMPTY?. 4 TIMES THE TRUCK HAS "REVVED" WITHOUT TOUCHING THE PEDAL(IN OR OUT OF GEAR)?. *TR
I WAS INVOLVED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN WHICH MY AIRBAG DEPLOYED AT WHICH TIME, AND ALTHOUGH I HAD SLAMMED ON MY BRAKE, MY TRUCKS ACCELERATOR STUCK CAUSING MY TRUCK TO PROCEED AT AN ACCELERATED SPEED PUSHING THE CAR I HAD JUST HIT AND VEERING OFF THE ROAD AND HITTING SOME TREES AND BRUSH. I SLAMMED ON MY BRAKE ONCE AGAIN STOPPING THE TRUCK. *TR

THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE, FOLLOWED BY THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CAUSE OF FIRE IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION. THE ENGINE SIZE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 16,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,800.
AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT COOL VEHICLE SUFFICIENTLY. *AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-150. WHILE TRAVELING 55 MPH IN RAINY CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE STRUCK A WATER PUDDLE. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO MOVE SIDEWAYS. HE REGAINED CONTROL AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. THIS SITUATION HAS PREVIOUSLY OCCURRED, BUT IS WORSE WHEN THE ROADS ARE WET. THE CONTACT HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS AND NEITHER ONE CAN DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE DEALERS STATED THAT THE STEERING IS OPERATING NORMALLY AND ALL PARTS ARE IN PLACE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 12,600 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
WHEN I TOOK MY 2007 FORD F150 IN FOR TIRE ROTATION, THE FORD TECHNICIAN HAD SAID THAT I HAD CUPPED FRONT TIRES, AT THAT TIME MIRE TIRES HAD ABOUT 9 TO 11 THOUSAND MILES ON THEM AND WERE ONLY A FEW MONTHS OLD, FORD WOULD NOT COVER THE ABNORMAL ROUNDING OF THE TIRE AND SAID I SHOULD BUY SOME NEW ONES FROM THEM. A FEW MONTHS LATER MY OTHER TWO TIRES HAD STARTED FORMING BALLS ON THE INSIDE SIDE WALL OF THE TIRE, WHICH I WAS NOT AWARE UNTIL I WENT TO GET MY STATE INSPECTION STICKER, THE TECHNICIAN AT PUEBLO TIRES TOLD ME I HAD SEVERAL BALLS ON THE SIDES OF MY TIRES HE ALSO TOLD ME MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION BECAUSE THE TREAD WAS TO WORN, HE EVEN SHOWED ME THE TREAD LEVELS WITH A TREAD METER AND I VERIFIED THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TREAD ON THE TIRES. THE MILEAGE ON THE TRUCK AT THAT TIME WAS ONLY 15000 MILES SO I REPLACED THEM SO IT WOULD BASS INSPECTION AND FOR MY SAFETY AND OTHERS AS WELL.. <BR> WHEN I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE IT CAME WITH A MANUAL STATING HOW MUCH AIR AND HOW MANY MILES A CERTAIN BRAND OF TIRE WAS SUPPOSED TO AVERAGE MINE SAID I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN 30000 MILES MINIMUM BEFORE REPLACEMENT, FORD IS OBVIOUSLY USING FALSE STATISTICS TO MARKET THESE DEFECTIVE TIRES. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE TIRES WERE CUPPING AND REPLACED THE FIRST SET OF TIRES THAT WERE WORN. SINCE THEN, THE TIRES HAVE BECOME WORN AGAIN. F-250 AND F-350 ARE LISTED NOT THE F-150) REAR EMERGENCY BRAKE PADS COMPLETELY DISTORTED AFTER 25 MILE FIRST DRIVE. TOLD FROM DEALER IT APPEARED TO BE A "BRAKE PAD DEFECT". THIS BREAK PAD FAILURE HAD THE POSSIBILITY OF LOCKING UP REAR AXLE WHILE IN MOTION CAUSING SERIOUS POSSIBILITY OF ACCIDENT! BREAK PADS AND PARTS ARE NOT IN STOCK... 2007 FORD F150 ON THE ROAD LESS THAN ONE WEEK WITH 1100 MILES ON IT. TRUCK WAS INVOLVED IN A MINOR COLLISION WHERE TRUCK STRUCK THE REAR BUMPER OF CAR IN FRONT OF IT. SPEED AT TIME OF IMPACT WAS APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH. THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE TRUCK BURST INTO FLAMES. MORE THAN LIKELY THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. WITHIN A WEEK OF PURCHASING OUR 2007 FORD 150 TRUCK, WE STARTED HAVING A PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE SUDDENLY LUNGING FORWARD WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING IN DRIVE WHILE STOPPED (FOR RED LIGHT, IN TURN LANE, AT PEDESTRIAN CROSSING, ETC.). THIS SOMETIMES OCCURRED WHEN THE DRIVER STILL HAD A FOOT ON THE BRAKE, OTHER TIMES JUST AS FOOT LIFTED FROM THE BRAKE, BUT ALWAYS WITHOUT DRIVER TOUCHING THE ACCELERATOR. INCIDENTS HAPPENED AT LEAST 6 TIMES IN ONE MONTH AND NOT CONSISTENTLY, WHICH CAUGHT DRIVER OFF GUARD EVEN MORE. DURING ONE INCIDENT, A PEDESTRIAN WAS ALMOST HIT AS SHE CROSSED THE STREET AT LEAST SEVERAL FEET AWAY FROM FRONT OF VEHICLE. INCIDENTS OCCURRED RANDOMLY AT LEAST 6 DIFFERENT TIMES THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. *JB

THE AIR-CONDITIONER HAS NOT COOLED PROPERLY SINCE DAY OF PURCHASE.THE DEALERSHIP TRIED REPAIRING IT BY FLUSHING THE A/C SYSTEM AND REFILLING IT WITH FREON. IT SEEMED TO COOL A LITTLE BETTER, BUT IT STILL THROWS WARM AIR WHEN TRUCK IS IDLING. BIG PROBLEM WHEN YOU LIVE IN THE DESERT AND A/C IS A MUST, NOT A LUXURY. *TR
