IVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM NOW TWICE IN A ROW WITH THE FUEL PUMP 20A FUEL IN THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD GETTING HOT AND MELTING THEN BLOWING THE FUSE. THIS FUSE IF IT HADN'T BLOWN WOULD HAVE CAUGHT THE FUSE BOX ON FIRE. FORD MAKES A KIT TO BYPASS THE TINY FUSE TO RELICATE IT TO A LARGER FUSE IN AN OPEN SPOT. THERE ARE MULTIPLE OTHERS IN NUMEROUS FORUMS WHO STATE THEY HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. FORD HAS NEVER ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE THAT CAN TURN BAD IF THE FUSE DOES NOT POP.
2012. WENT TO GREAT LAKES FORD LUDINGTON MI. PAINT ON ROCKER PANEL WAS BLISTERING UP WITH WATER UNDERNEATH. AT WHERE THE DOORS LATCH ON HOOK .THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING.IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. NOW RUSTING VERY BAD CALLED IN 4/17/18. FORD STILL WILL NOT DO ANYTHING . I NOW PUT OIL ON IT TO SLOW IT DOWN .IM VERY WORRIED THAT IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. THAT THE DOORS WILL COME OPEN. IT'S. ON BOTH SIDES . I HAVE 103000 MILES ON IT. THE SEAT BELTS GO THROUGH THE DOORS SO IF THE DOORS OPEN I WOULD BE OUT OF THE TRUCK. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME
AFTER TURNING ON THE REAR DEFROSTER, THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR GLASS PANEL SHATTERED.
WHEN SLOWING DOWN (AT AN INTERSECTION FOR EXAMPLE) TO MAKE A TURN THE VEHICLE DIES AND MAKES IT VERY, VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN BECAUSE THE POWER STEERING DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE ALMOST GOTTEN INTO TWO ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO STAY IN MY LANE DURING THE TURN. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A TRUCK SO DIFFICULT TO TURN WHEN THE ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING. ADDITIONALLY, THE TRUCK WILL NOT START AFTER FUELING. I HAD THE TRUCK TOWED THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED AND THE FORD DEALER (MADISON COUNTY FORD IN RICHMOND, KY) SAID IT WAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. THE FIRST TIME I PUT FUEL IN THE TRUCK, IT WOULD NOT START. IT SAT A COUPLE OF DAYS AND STARTED. THE ENGINE WAS STOPPING JUST AS IT DID BEFORE. TOOK IT BACK TO THE SAME FORD DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY HAD DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM PROPERLY. I SPEND $2,216 ON WHAT THEY SAID THE PROBLEM WAS AND IT WAS STILL DOING THE SAME THING. THE PARAMOUNT ISSUE IS WHEN THE TRUCK DIES WHILE DRIVING AND IT CAN'T BE STEERED PROPERLY.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ENGINE SHUT OFF. WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN, ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF. AND I ROLLED ACROSS INTERSECTION, LOST BRAKES AND STEERING. IN MOTION MOST OF THE TIME. ON CITY STREETS.
THE ROCKER PANELS ARE RUSTED BADLY. THE ROCKER PANEL KEEPS THE DOORS CLOSED. WHEN THE RUST GETS TO THE POINT WHERE THE LATCH IS THE DOORS WILL NOT STAY CLOSED. IT HAS NOT HAPPENED YET BUT IT APPEARS THIS WILL HAPPEN IN THE NEAR FUTURE. WITH THE RUST THIS BAD I AM VERY CONCERNED IF THERE WOULD EVER BE A SIDE IMPACT TO THE VEHICLE. I FIRST NOTICED THE RUST IN THE LATE FALL OF 2017.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. WHILE STATIONARY, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START WHEN PROMPTED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. BOB SIGHT FORD IN LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REQUESTED THAT THE VEHICLE BE BROUGHT IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CITED TSB NUMBER: 15-0137 AS A POTENTIAL GUIDE FOR REPAIR OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000. *TT
DRIVING FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES WHEN I TURNED ON DEFROSTER BECAUSE WINDOWS WERE FOGGING. APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE LATER I HEARD A LOUD POP AND NOTED THAT MY REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. I WAS IDLING AT A STOP IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THE WINDOW SHATTERED.

WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD TICKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HAWK FORD OF ST. CHARLES (LOCATED AT 2525 E MAIN ST, ST. CHARLES, IL 60174, (630) 584-1800) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING SOLENOID, EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLT, AND TIMING CHAIN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.
TRUCK WAS BROUGHT IN FOR MINOR RUST ON INSIDE PANELS OF BACK DOORS, WHERE THE DOOR CLOSES. BODY SHOP STATED THAT MAYBE THE DRAIN CHANNEL WAS BLOCKED. UPON PICKING THE TRUCK UP AFTER REPAIR I WAS TOLD THAT THE ROCKER PANELS ON BOTH SIDES WERE SO RUSTED OUT THEY WERE BEYOND REPAIR. THEY STATED IT LOOKS LIKE THE TRUCK SAT IN WATER FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, I BOUGHT THE TRUCK NEW FROM A DEALER IN AMELIA OH 43011 I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. I HAVE LOOKED ON THE WEB AND IT SEEMS THIS IS COMMON ON FORD TRUCKS. I WILL COST ME 4900$ TO REPAIR; THE TRUCK LOOKS BRAND NEW AND I HAVE KEPT IT IN VERY, VERY GOOD CONDITION. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD BUT THEY WILL NOT HELP, THEY STATED NO RECALL OR WARRANTY ISSUES HAVE BEEN REPORTED AT THIS TIME. WHY HAVEN'T THEIR ENGINEERS CORRECTED THIS PROBLEM?
RUN OUT OF GAS GAS GUAGE READING IS 50 MILE TO GO ALL WHEN ENGEN GET HOT MAKING KOCKING NOSIE
RECENTLY DISCOVERED MAJOR DAMAGE DUE TO RUST AND ROT OF CAB PINCH WELD AT ROCKER PANELS ON BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES EXTENDING FRONT TO BACK. 2010, FORD F-150, CREW CAB, 51,000 ORIGINAL MILES. MY COMPLAINT WAS FORMALLY ADDRESSED AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHERE PURCHASED. THEY NOTED (VEHICLE IS VERY CLEAN......). MY CONCERNS WERE FORWARDED TO CORPORATE WITH RESPONSE BEING 'OUT OF FIVE YEAR WARRANTY'. HAVING FOUND MYSELF IN A DILEMMA I HAD AN AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN VIEW THE DAMAGE AND HIS ADVICE WAS TO TRADE THE VEHICLE. THE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE IS NOT THE RESULT OF NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THIS DOESN'T TAKE A BODY TECHNICIAN TO RECOGNIZE THIS PROBLEM IS DUE TO INFERIOR PRODUCT OF POOR WORKMANSHIP.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO JARRETT SCOTT FORD (2000 E BAKER ST, PLANT CITY, FL 33563, (813) 752-4171) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING ROD HAD FRACTURED AND SEPARATED FROM THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
THE PASSENGER REAR WINDOW LITE (GLASS) ON MY 2010 F-150 SVT RAPTOR SHATTERED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED RUNNING AND THE REAR DEFROSTER WAS ON. THE SHATTERED GLASS STAYED IN PLACE, BUT REQUIRES THE COMPLETE REAR WINDOW TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A COMMON REPORTED ISSUE ONLINE WITH FORD TRUCKS OF THIS AGE, WHERE FORD WILL NOT ISSUE A DEFECT REPLACEMENT.
DRIVING ON COUNTY ROAD USING REAR DEFROSTER AND THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED ON THE PASSENGR SIDE. EXTREMELY LOUD BOOM LIKE A GUN SHOT SOUND. NO HOLE IN GLASS JUST SHATTERED BUT STILL IN FRAME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING AT 72 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED RAPIDLY ON ITS OWN WITHOUT WARNING. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED, BUT THE BRAKES FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO F G EVANS FORD (270 US-431, LIVERMORE, KY 42352, (270) 684-6268), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
FORD F-150 WILL NOT START INTERMITTENTLY. THE ENGINE CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED WITH FUSE #27 OVER HEATING BUT NOT BLOWING. FUSE #27 IS THE FUSE FOR THE FUEL PUMP DIVER MODULE. THE ENGINE HAS NOT DIED ON ME WHILE IN MOTION THOUGH THERE ARE MULTIPLE OTHER INSTANCES OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE HAD THEIR VEHICLE DIE ON THEM. FORD HAS ISSUED A TSB FOR 2009-2014 F-150S, TSB 15-0137 TO RELOCATE THE FUSE. I RECOMMEND NHTSA ORDER FORD TO RECALL OF ALL TRUCKS POSSIBLY AFFECTED SO THIS DOES NOT CREATE AN ACCIDENT IN THE FUTURE.
ON NUMEROUS OCCASION, REGARDLESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS OR OTHER VARIABLES, MY 2010 F150 WILL STALL OUT RESULTING IN LOSS OF CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE. I LOSE POWER STEERING, THE BRAKES LOCK UP AND I AM UNABLE TO ACCELERATE TO MOVE MY TRUCK OUT OF HARMS WAY ON THE ROAD. THIS HAPPENS DURING TIMES WHEN THE TRUCK IS MOVING AS WELL AS STATIONARY. IT CAN HAPPEN DURING TURNING, SLOWING DOWN, ACCELERATING, IN FACT IT IS HARD TO PIN POINT A CONSISTENT PATTERN OF WHEN IT OCCURS. I WAS NEARLY INVOLVED IN SEVERAL ACCIDENTS DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND FIND IT VERY DISTURBING THAT THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED ON MANY OTHER FORD TRUCKS AND YET NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN. THE ISSUE CONTINUES TO HAPPEN EVEN AFTER NUMEROUS TRIPS TO THE SHOP AND A LOT OF MONEY SPENT TO HAVE IT FIXED.
I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE TRUCK UNTIL NOW. LATELY I T'S NOT BEEN CRANKING AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. SOMETIMES IT CRANKS FINE AND SOMETIME IT DOESN'T. I TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE AND THEY GOT A COMMUNICATIONS CODE. I'VE HEARD A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE. I'VE ALSO BEEN TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT DOWN ON YOU WHILE DRIVING.
CAB LEAKS AFTER RAIN CAN BE A MOLD ISSUE SOME TIME WHEN TURNING GOING OFF CURBS OR HITTING MONTHS YOU HEAR A BANGING NOISE THE DRIVESHAFT IT WILL POP WHEN TAKE OFF I HAD IT GREASE BY FORD LITTLE BIT BETTER ONCE IN AWHILE STILL DOES. ALL THIS STILL GO ON
THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED AFTER TURNING ON THE REAR DEFROSTER. THE PASSENGER PORTION OF THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. THIS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 2-3 MINUTES AFTER TURNING ON THE DEFROSTER. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE LOW 20S. THERE WAS AN EXTREMELY LOUD BANG AND THEN WE NOTICED THE GLASS WAS SHATTERED.
REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER, DOESN'T WORK. THERE IS A MAJOR MALFUNCTION WITH F-150'S CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL. IS THE GOVERNMENT GONNA LET FORD SLIDE BY AGAIN ON THIS? WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE.
MY 2010 F150 STARTED GETTING CARBON MONOXIDE COMING THROUGH THE CABIN HEATING SYSTEM. THIS WAS CAUSED BY THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND BOLTS BREAKING DUE TO RUSTING OUT AND ALLOWING CARBON MONOXIDE TO SEEP INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND INTO THE CABIN. I AS THE DRIVER BECAME ILL FOR 2 DAYS AS I WAS NOT AWARE THAT THE POISON WAS COMING INTO THE CABIN AT FIRST. I HAD A 70 MILE HIGHWAY DRIVE TO GET HOME. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD SEVERE RUSTING THROUGHOUT THE DRIVE TRAIN STARTING AT 3 YEARS OLD. FORD HAS NEVER ACCEPTED ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ISSUE. I WANT TO BE CLEAR ON THIS AS IN HOPES OF NOT HAVING THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE. I FEEL I COULD HAVE DIED FROM THIS POISONING. I HAVE NEVER HAD A VEHICLE DO THIS, ESPECIALLY ONE AS NEW AS THIS VEHICLE.
FUEL PUMP FUSE BLOWS WITHOUT PROVOCATION LEAVING VEHICLE WITHOUT POWER. WENT OUT TO START VEHICLE AND IT WOULD ONLY TURN OVER BUT NEVER START. FOUND THIS TO BE A CONSISTENT PROBLEM ON THE WEB AND WAS ABLE TO REPLACE THE FUSE AND VEHICLE STARTED IMMEDIATELY.
TURNED ON MY REAR DEFROSTER AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. ABOUT TWO MILES DOWN THE ROAD THE BACK SPLIT WINDOW BLOWS OUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. GOOGLED THE PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE 2010AND2011 F150. THIS IS A LOT OF MONEY TO REPLACE ON SOMEONE'S DIME THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM.
ENGINE CRANKS BUT DOES NOT START ONE MORNING. FOUND FRIED FUEL PUMP FUSE WAS THE ISSUE. NOT A BLOWN FUSE. A FRIED FUSE. BLACKENED AND CHARRED.
MY HIGH SCHOOL DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING OUR 2010 F150 ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL TODAY AND IT FAILED IN THE LEFT TURN LANE AT A BUSY INTERSECTION, AND IT WOULD CRANK BUT NOT START. PEOPLE WERE HONKING THEIR HORNS AND MY DAUGHTER MISSED CLASSES. SHE COULD HAVE BEEN RE-END AND INJURED FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A GARAGE AND THEY SAID IT WAS A KNOWN ISSUE RELATED TO A FUSE/FUSE BOX WIRE AND THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A FUSEBOX BYPASS KIT THAT FORD HAS PUT TOGETHER TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. LIKE HUNDREDS OF OTHERS, DRIVING AND PUT REAR DEFROSTER ON AND A MINUTE LATER HEARD A GUNSHOT LIKE NOISE AND MY BACK REAR RIGHT WINIDOW EXPLODED. DOGS IN THE BACKSEAT, WAS NOT PRETTY AND SCARED THE HECK OUT OF ME WHILE DRIVING. ISN'T THERE A RECALL ON THIS YET?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. AFTER FILLING UP THE VEHICLE WITH FUEL, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 45 MINUTES BEFORE FINALLY SUCCEEDING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAME FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY SIX OTHER TIMES AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE 20 AMPS FUEL RELAY FUSE AND THE HIGH POWER RELAY WERE DAMAGED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
MY TRUCK CRANKS BUT WON'T START. THE FUSE TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WAS BLOWN. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH MANY TRUCK OWNERS AND FORD IS OFFERING A BYPASS KIT FOR THIS SYSTEM FOR $400-$500. SHOULDN'T THIS BE A RECALL IF THEY'RE HAVING TO INSTALL A BYPASS KIT?
STEERING COLUMN BROKE AT STEERING WHEEL KNUCKLE LEAVING IT UNABLE TO STEER. MADE WITH CHEAP PLASTIC CAUSING WRECK. I WAS ON A COUNTRY RD WERE I VEERED INTO A BRIDGE COLUMN
PASSENGER SIDE PANEL OF POWERED REAR WINDOW SHATTERED WITH A LOUD BANG. THIS WAS IN AN OEM PART REPLACED FOR THE SAME REASON IN 2014. I DID NOT HAVE THE DEFROST ON . I MADE A 4 MILE ROUND TRIP AND AS I PULLED IN THE DRIVEWAY AND TURNED OFF THE KEY IT WENT.
THE 20 AMP FUSE FOR THE FUEL PUMP IS MELTING IN THE FUSE BLOCK. THIS IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND IS A KNOWN PROBLEM BY FORD DEALERS. THIS 2010 YEAR IS THE PROBLEM EVERYONE IS HAVING. FORD HAS YET TO HAVE A RECALL BUT WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS IT IS NOT GOING TO LONG UNTIL SOMEONE IS STRANDED AND THEY BYPASS THE FUSE AND START A FIRE. FORD DOES NEED TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM .I DO NOT HAVE ANY PICTURES OF MINE I CHANGED OVER THE WEEKEND BUT THERE IS PLENTY ON LINE THAT IS HOW WE FOUND WHY MY TRUCK WOULD NOT START. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE A FIRE MAY START FROM THIS MELTING OF THE FUSE BLOCK.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
FRONT BRAKES, FRONT END SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. PUT NEW BRAKES AND ROTORS ON IT AND 6 MONTHS LATER DOING THE SAME THING. I KEEP HAVING TO TIGHTEN LUG NUTS BECAUSE OF IT. FORD SERVICE ADVISOR SAYS UNFORTUNATELY YEAR MODELS 2009- 2014 HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ROTORS WARPING AND FORD PARTS OR AFTER MARKET PARTS WILL NOT FIX IT. HE SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM IN 2015 BUT THERE THERE IS NOT A FIX FOR MY YEAR MODEL? I DRIVE THE INTERSTATES A LOT AND I AM AFRAID A WHEEL IS GOING TO COME OFF.
1. I AM NOT ALONE IN A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE FUEL CANISTER BEING A PROBLEM ON THE F150- I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS TWICE NOW- OTHERS IN THE FORUM ARE DOING THE SAME. THE VAPOR CANISTER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT BECOMES FAULTY AND THE ENGINES STALL OR RUNS ROUGH- WHEN IT STALLS, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER. I GREW UP WITHOUT POWER STEERING- 97$ OUT OF POCKET- DEALER COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT- HAD ANOTHER MECHANIC DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR. IT'S A SIMPLE FIX- YET CAN BE DANGEROUS IF SOMEONE WITH STRONG ARM STRENGTH CANNOT TURN THE VEHICLE OR USE THE BREAKS. THIS HAS TO BE LOOKED AT.! I SHOULD HAVE BEEN REIMBURSED! WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET KILLED IS INEXCUSABLE- HAPPENED WITH JUST 35K MILES ON TRUCK. 2. SEEMS FORD HAS A MEGA DEFECT WITH BAD DESIGN ON THEIR F150 POWER REAR WINDOWS WITH THE HEAT GRIDS GOING BAD- THIS HAPPENED AT MAYBE THE SAME TIME, AND UNLESS I SPEND 1000 DOLLARS, I HAVE NO REAR-WINDOW DEFOGGING- THIS WAS NEARLY A 50K VEHICLE, AND JUST STARTED TO FALL APART AFTER THE WARRANTY. THIS IS A BAD DESIGN- IF ICE AND ALL IN THE SOUTH, MANY DO NOT HAVE THE PREPARATIONS FOR THIS (I GREW UP IN THE NORTH). I STILL CAN'T DEFROST MY REAR WINDOW), BUT HAVE A SCRAPER 3. HIGH MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT- SEEMS, FORD REFUSES TO FIX A BAD DESIGN FOR FAULTY HIGH MOUNT THIRD BRAKE LIGHT- CHEAP GASKET WILL FADE, AND MANY OF USE (MYSELF RECENTLY) HAVE PROBLEMS WITH WATER DRIPPING INSIDE THE CAB- 100 PLUS BUCKS FOR A NEW ONE? CAN'T EVEN BUY THE GASKET?? AND LET'S ADD TO THE FACT THE LIGHTS ARE SO BADLY DESIGNED, THEY COLLECT GRIME/CRAP AND JUST LOOK LIKE YUP. (BIGGEST CONCERN IS RUINING THE INTERIOR WITH WATER- I HAD A LOT OF WET RECENTLY- F150 FORUM IS PLASTERED WITH THESE PROBLEMS. THE FUEL CANISTER MAKING THE VESICLE STALL IS DANGEROUS. AND I FEEL FORD SHOULD ADDRESS THIS. (THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT IMPROVING THE OTHER ISSUES IN 2018. SHAME- NO QUALITY!~

THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, SHUT OFF, AND RESTARTED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER (BRANDON FORD, 9090 E ADAMO DR, TAMPA, FL 33619) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 186,000.
TPMS MODULE CONTINUALLY LOOSES CONTACT WITH WHEEL SENSORS AND DISPLAYS "TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR FAULT" IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. DISCOUNT TIRE HAS REPLACED AND RESYNCED THREE TIMES AND IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. THE FAULT USUALLY OCCURS WHEN ON THE FREEWAY. ABOUT 30 DAYS AFTER HAVING IT FIXED. THE OTHER ISSUE IS CONTINUAL PROBLEMS WITH THE APIM MODULE. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN IF YOU'RE UNABLE TO MAKE A PHONE CALL BECAUSE YOU'RE HAVING CONSTANT BLUETOOTH ISSUES. IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THROUGH A GOOGLE SEARCH THAT MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME MODEL AND VINTAGE ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM, AND FORD IS TRYING THEIR BEST TO BLAME PEOPLES PHONES FOR CAUSING PROBLEMS RATHER THAN ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. MY TRUCK IS IN THE DEALER HAVING THIS ISSUE LOOKED AT FOR A THIRD TIME NOW. I'M FINALLY GETTING THEM TO REPLACE THE APIM UNDER MY EXTENDED FACTORY WARRANTY.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH THE REAR DEFROST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR WINDOW (THERE ARE THREE WITH CENTER ONE POWERED) SHATTERED. THERE WAS A LOUD POP AND THE WINDOW WAS CRACKED INTO HUNDREDS OF PIECES. WINDOW WAS STILL IN PLACE. THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF IMPACT ON THE WINDOW. THE VEHICLE WAS GOING ABOUT 50 MPH ON PA 75 (2 LANE HIGHWAY) NEAR CLAY LICK, PA IN A FAIRLY STRAIGHT STRETCH OF ROADWAY.

THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
FORD F150 4X4 XLT, DASH BOARD KEEPS GOING OUT. SHOWS SKIDDING, AND TIRE SENSOR FAULTY, DINGGING, A/C GOES HOT, INSIDE LIGHTS DON'T WORK. HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES, SPOKE WITH FORD TOOK IT IN, THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, WHICH WE HAVE FOUND OUT IS A LIE. THEY STATED WE NEEDED A NEW BATTERY, WHICH WE HAD TESTED AS WELL AS THE ALTERNATOR AND NOTHING WRONG THERE EITHER. WE TOOK IT TO ADVANCED AUTO TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD TELL US. A YOUNG MAN SAID THAT FORD HAD PUT OUT A INSIDE NOTICE THAT HIS BUDDY SHOWED HIM OF A FAULTY WIRING HARNESS IN THE DASH. HE ASKED IF HE COULD SHOW US A SHORT TERM FIX...HE SMACKED THE DASH AND ALL THE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON. IF WE HIT A BUMP IT WILL DO IT AGAIN, OR ON REALLY HOT DAYS, BECAUSE OF THE HEAT. WE ARE WAITING ON FORD TO RECALL THIS AS IT IS A SERIOUS HAZARD AND MAYBE START FIRES. AS SOMETIMES YOU SMELL ELECTRICAL, THIS HAPPENS DAILY WHEN EVER WE DRIVE THE TRUCK, YOU CAN HAVE A WRECK TRYING TO SMACK IT HARD ENOUGH TO GET IT TO COME BACK ON. THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU ARE SITTING IN THE TRUCK , DRIVING, OR WHEN YOU GO TO START IT UP...YOU WILL HAVE NO GAUGES, LIGHTS A/C OR HEAT IN THE WINTER. YET THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS WILL WORK, YET WHEN YOU PUSH THE BRAKES YOU HEAR A LOUD CLICKING. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR APPROX. 2.5 YRS +...FORD NEEDS TO RECALL AND FIX THIS. EVERYDAY WE DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEMS MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY. WE BROUGHT THIS TRUCK NEW AND IT FIRST DID THIS AROUND 23,000 MILES. NOW AT JUST OVER 50,000 MILES. THERE ARE TIMES THAT SMACKING THE DASH DOES NOTWORK AND WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO COME ON, THOSE TIME YOU HAVE TO RUN WITH TRAFFIC OR IF OTHERS ARE PASSING YOU NEED TO SPEED UP. VERY DANGEROUS
AFTER REFUELING VEHICLE WILL BE HARD TO START, AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS AND USING GAS PEDAL TO FORCE AN IDLE IT WILL START, PROBLEM ONLY OCCURS AGAIN AFTER REFUELING. THIS IS COUPLED WITH SUDDEN ENGINE CUT OFF AT LOW SPEEDS. DEALER IS CLUELESS AS TO A FIX FOR EITHER. I CONSIDER THE SUDDEN SHUT OFF TO BE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE, PARTICULARLY DRIVING IN MOUNTAINS AS I DO.
MANIFOLD BOLTS RUSTING OFF ON 4.6L 3V ENGINE. THIS CAUSES EXHAUST LEAK UNDER HOOD AND EXCESSIVE HEAT TO THE OTHER PARTS NEAR THE ENGINE. BECAUSE SMELL IS APPARENT AT IDLE.
ON THE CREW CAB THE BACK PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM EITHER INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE TRUCK VERY UNSAFE IF YOU HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE BACK SEAT.
I HAVE NOTICED OF F150 FORUMS THAT FROM 09 TO 2013 ON THE CREW CAB THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR THE TRUCK OR THE OUTSIDE OF THE TRUCK WITH I WOULD THINK IS A BIG SAFETY CONCERN.

THE CONTACT CALLED CLONINGER FORD OF MORGANTOWN AT (828) 584-4600(1001 JAMESTOWN RD, MORGANTOWN, NC 28655) AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
