SEAT HEATING ELEMENT BURNING OPEN. THIS COULD CAUSE A FIRE. LOOKING FOR A RECALL ON THESE ELEMENTS. THEY NOW SELL A HEAVEN DUTY ELEMENT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. AFTER TURNING ON THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER, A LOUD BANGING SOUND WAS HEARD. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR WINDOW HAD SHATTERED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED A DAY AFTER FREEZING RAIN WAS PRESENT IN THE AREA. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (WEHR FORD IN MARSHFIELD, MO) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, BUT THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED OF THE RISK OF AN INJURY DUE TO THE SHATTERED GLASS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS IN THE REVERSE POSITION, IT FAILED TO ACCELERATE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
WHEN DRIVING, USUALLY BETWEEN 20-30 MPH, MY TRANSMISSION WILL ABRUPTLY SWITCH GEARS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, IT IS VERY LOUD AND VIOLENTLY JERKS THE ENTIRE VEHICLE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING RANDOMLY SINCE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK IN 2012 W/ ROUGHLY 9K MILES ON IT. IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE BEEN REAR-ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, I HAVE HAD TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE IN MY TRUCK (UNFAMILIAR WITH THE ISSUE), AND WHEN IT HAPPENED, THEY INSTANTLY ASKED, 'DID WE JUST GET REAR-ENDED?'
The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shifted into first gear and became stuck in the first gear. The contact was able to pull to the side of the road and restart the vehicle after multiple attempts. The check engine and wrench warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the vehicle was not under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING ASSIST IS OUT
TRANSMISSION SHIFTED VIOLENTLY IN TO 1ST ON A MAIN ROAD CAUSING THE WHHELS TO LOCK. I HAD TO DRIVE IN 1ST GEAR UNTIL I COULD GET OFF THE ROAD AND TRAFFIC WAS DIVERTED AROUND ME AT HIGH SPEED. NOT SAFE!
TRANSMISSION JUMPS IN AND OUT OF GEAR WITH NO APPARENT RELATION TO VEHICLES SPEED OR THROTTLE POSITION. IF THE TRANSMISSION DECIDES TO DROP INTO 1ST AT SUFFICIENT SPEED TO LOCK THE DRIVE WHEELS THIS IS TERRIFYING AND INHERENTLY DANGEROUS. FORD KNOWS THIS CONDITION EXISTS ON 6R80 TRANSMISSIONS BUT SEEMS UNWILLING TO WIDEN THE RECALL. MAYBE SOMEONE NEEDS TO DIE BEFORE THEY ADDRESS THIS. ITS A MIRACLE THIS HASN'T LEAD TO A LOSS OF LIFE INCIDENT YET.
ISSUE: REAR POWER SLIDE WINDOW HEATED ON THE WAY TO TAKING MY SON TO SCHOOL THIS MORNING I HAD MY REAR GLASS DEFROST ON TO HELP REDUCE THE FOG ON THE GLASS. ABOUT 5 MINUTES INTO OUR DRIVE THE PANEL OF GLASS RIGHT BEHIND HIS HEAD SHATTERED (REAR WINDOW, PASSENGER PANEL) WITH A VERY LOUD AND SCARY BOOM. UPON PULLING OVER AND INSPECTING THE GLASS BOTH INSIDE AND OUT THERE WAS ZERO SIGNS THAT ANYTHING HAD ACTUALLY HIT HT REAR GLASS. IT IS STILL IN THE WINDOW AND SMOOTH IN APPEARANCE FROM THE OUTSIDE, JUST CRACKED INTO A MILLION SMALL PIECES. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT FORD AND OR THEIR GLASS MFG. NEED TO OWN UP ONE. THIS COSTS US, THE OWNERS $500+ EVERY TIME WE HAVE TO REPAIR THIS ISSUE AND EVENTUALLY A CHILD SITTING IN THE REAR IS GOING TO GET GLASS BLASTED INTO THEIR HEAD. PLEASE HELP US AND KEEP OUT CHILDREN SAFE!! THANK YOU
MY TIMING CHAIN STRETCHED AT 48 THOUSAND MILES. FORD NEEDS TO DO A RE-CALL ON THIS. IT IS NOT OK THAT THE CONSUMER HAS TO PAY FOR A FAULTY PRODUCT. LONG TIME FORD OWNER AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 TO 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY DOWNSHIFTED AND LOST POWER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WRENCH ICON ILLUMINATED, BUT SHE WAS NOT SURE IF THE ICON ILLUMINATED WHILE THE FAILURE OCCURRED OR AFTERWARDS. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO COAST ONTO THE ROAD SHOULDER AND THEN DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION FORD WOLFCHASE (7925 STAGE ROAD MEMPHIS, TN 38133, PHONE: (901)-209-1257) WHERE A FAILURE CODE FOR THE TRANSMISSION LEAD FRAME WAS LOCATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V248000 (POWER TRAIN). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

ERRATIC SHIFTING DURING MY DRIVE TO WORK. INTO FIRST VERY HARD. THIS HAPPENED AT 35MPH ON THE EXIT RAMP.
I HAVE SEVERAL OCCASION FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS OF MY F150 NOT STARTING WHEN TURNING THE KEY ON. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES BUT THEY COULDN'T DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. I'VE HAD SEVERAL OCCASION OF THE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT TURN ON AND THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED. JUST RECENTLY I WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN AND AT A SMALL ANGLE AND THE TRUCK COMPLETELY STALLED OUT WHILE DRIVING. I HAD TO COAST TO A STOP WITHOUT ANY POWER STEERING UNTIL IT FINALLY STOPPED. I TRIED TO CRANK IT OVER BUT IT WOULDN'T START. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES IT FINALLY STARTED WITHOUT ISSUE. I'VE HAD IT STALL TWICE WHILE I LOST TOTAL CONTROL OF MY TRUCK AND IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I HAD TO TOW IT TO MY DEALERSHIP AGAIN TODAY. I THINK I MAY HAVE FINALLY FOUND THE ISSUE WHICH MAY POINT TO A FAULTY 20AMP FUEL PUMP FUSE. I FOUND SOME ARTICLES POINTING TO FUSE 27 AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS BURNT ON ONE SIDE. I AM COMPLETELY SHOCKED THAT FORD IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND NOT ISSUING A MANDATORY RECALL UNTIL ALL THESE TRUCKS ARE FIXED. HAD THIS BEEN ON THE FREEWAY IT COULD HAVE BEEN A COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE VEHICLE WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS OR LIFE THREATENING ACCIDENT. PLEASE FORCE A RECALL.
5.0 ENGINE STARTED KNOCKING AT 130K MILES. TIMING CHAINS ARE ALSO STRETCHED CAUSING ANOTHER TICKING SOUND.
REAR RIGHT 3 PIECE WINDOW SHATTERED BY HAVING THE DEFROST ON.
REAR WINDOWS EQUIPPED WITH DEFROSTER AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS WITH SLIDER WINDOWS SHATTER WHEN THE REAR DEFROST BUTTON IS USED. MY VEHICLE HAS THE SLIDER WINDOW AND UPON REPLACING AT SAFELITE GLASS THEY SAID THEY SEE THIS FREQUENT ON FORD TRUCKS AND THAT TO PREVENT IS TO EITHER NOT HOOKUP DEFROST WHEN WINDOW IS REPLACED OR NOT USE THE REAR DEFROST.
THE VEHICLE SHIFTS INTO 1ST GEAR WITHOUT WARNING AT HIGHWAY SPEED. IT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST WEEK AND I HAVE GOTTEN NO HELP FROM THE DEALERSHIP OR FORD MOTOR COMPANY.
THE TIMING CHAIN OF THE 3.5L ECOBOOST FAILS AT APPROXIMATELY 80,000 MILES. THE FAILURE IS A RESULT OF A STRETCHED TIMING CHAIN AND CAUSES A LACK OF POWER AND ACCELERATION.
WHILE DRIVING MY TRANSMISSION WILL SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTED TO FIRST GEAR. NO RHYME OR REASON. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS PROBABLY GOING 35 TO 40MPH. IT THREW EVERYONE IN THE CABIN FORWARD LIKE WE HIT SOMETHING IN THE ROAD. IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND IS GETTING WORSE. I HAVE SPOKEN TO FORD AND INFORMED THEM ABOUT THE SIMILARITIES OF A RECALL ON THE SAME PROBLEM BUT FORD STATES MY VIN NUMBER DOES NOT FALL INTO THE CATEGORY BECAUSE IT WAS BUILT IN THEIR CANADIAN PLANT.
THE MORNING AFTER I BOUGHT MY TRUCK IN NOVEMBER. I WENT TOO START IT ON A COLD MORNING AND NOTICED A RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM ENGINE. ONLY DOES IT WHEN ENGINE IS COLD. I'VE BEEN TOLD IT IS MY TIMING CHAIN. AND THE DEALER WOULDN'T FIX IT SINCE THERE WAS NO WARRANTY

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V24800 (POWER TRAIN), BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND CASE NUMBER: 14223874 WAS OPENED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
TIMING CHAIN RATTLE ON STARTUP
2011 FORD F150. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION SAFETY RECALL. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BUT, EXPERIENCED THE SAME MALFUNCTION AS DESCRIBED. *JS
2011 F150 HAS A SERIOUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM THAT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, THE REAR DEFROSTER ON A POWER SLIDING REAR WINDOW KNOW FOR FAILING TO WORK, AND IF LEFT ON AND VIBRATION FROM A ROAD BUMP CAN CAUSE A SUDDEN CONNECTION WHICH WILL THEN CAUSE THE REAR GLASS TO SHATTER, AND AT THIS POINT THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF CASES, OF THIS PROBLEM AND FORD REFUSES TO FIX THE ISSUE CLAIMING THE GLASS IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM
MY 2011 F150 WOULD HESITATE FROM A STOP POSITION TO 1ST GEAR ( JERKING ACTION),AND NOW IT DOWN SHIFTS TO 1ST GEAR WHILE DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY AND THE GAUGES STOP WORKING. THEN WHEN YOU PULL OVER AND TURN TRUCK OFF TO TRY TO RESET ANYTHING IT STAYS IN 5TH GEAR WHEN YOU TAKE OFF AND THE WRENCH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. WE RECIEVED A RECALL FOR IT( 16S19) HAD THE RECALL PREFORMED ON FEB 27 2018 AND 4 DAYS LATER IT STARTED DOING THE EXACT SAME THING.
THE STEERING STICKS WHEN DRIVING LIKE ITS MANUAL. WHEN TURNING ANY DEGREE. MAKES IT HARD TO HANDLE ON ANY ROAD.

THE CONTACT HAD TO QUICKLY SLAM ON THE BRAKES BRAKES AND PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE MANUFACTURER STATED SIMPLY THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL SO THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIRS. THE DEALER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. TF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO FIRST GEAR. THE WHEELS LOCKED, AND THE ABS ENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (LAKE VIEW FORD, 12381 CONNEAUT LAKE RD, CONNEAUT LAKE, PA 16316), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: CAS-14072276. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE LOCAL DEALER COULD USE THEIR PAS TO ASSIST WITH REPAIR FEES, BUT NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
UNEXPECTED TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFT ON JANUARY 31, 2018. WHILE DRIVING ON I 70 HEADING TOWARDS KANSAS CITY, MO FROM INDEPENDENCE, MO, MY F-150 UNEXPECTEDLY SHIFTED INTO FIRST GEAR WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT 65 MPH. THERE WAS A LARGE TRACTOR TRAILER BEHIND MY TRUCK THAT ALMOST SLAMMED INTO THE BACK OF MY VEHICLE WHEN MY TRUCK SLAMMED INTO FIRST GEAR. THE TRACTOR TRAILER SWERVED INTO THE HIGH-SPEED LANE TO AVOID RUNNING INTO THE BACK OF MY TRUCK. NO INJURIES OR COLLISIONS OCCURRED. I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING FROM THE FRONT OF MY TRANSMISSION. I CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK AND HAD MY VEHICLE TAKEN TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN BLUE SPRINGS, MO. THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT MY VIN WAS NOT ONE OF THE TRANSMISSIONS THAT HAD BEEN RECALLED UNDER THE FORD CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 16N02. ACCORDING TO THE RECALL LETTER, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED, SINCE MY VEHICLE WAS BUILT ON JUNE 28, 2011, WHICH FALLS WITHIN THE TIME FRAME STATED IN THE RECALL. THIS RECALL ALSO COVERS THE POWER TRAIN FOR UNEXPECTED DOWN SHIFTS FOR 10 YEARS OR 150,000. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS THROWN INTO A LOW GEAR AT A HIGH SPEED, IT IS SUSPECTED THAT THE EXCESSIVE PRESSURE CREATED BLEW OUT THE TORQUE CONVERTOR AND FRONT SEAL OF THE TRANSMISSION. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REQUEST GUIDANCE FROM CORPORATE FORD ON THIS ISSUE AND IS REQUESTING $5,550 FOR A RE-MANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION THAT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTY.
REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON. THE REAR WINDOW DOESN'T DEFROST BUT THE MIRRORS DO. DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR A FIRE WHEN IT IS KNOWN THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM AND FORD DOESN'T ISSUE A RECALL. TO MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING BTHIS BPROBLEM AND THERE ARE FIRES AND REAR WINDOWS BLOWING OUT.
WHILE RUNNING THE DEFROSTER, THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR WINDOW POPPED AND THE GLASS SHATTERED. I WAS DRIVING TO WORK IN THE MORNING GOING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH. I WAS NOT TURNING.
STEERING WHEEL GETS HARD WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY OR STREET, SOMETIMES GETS HARD WHILE TURNING. IM SCARE THAT IT WILL FAIL WHILE DRIVING.
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM STOPLIGHT TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT UP SHIFT FROM FIRST GEAR AND SPEEDOMETER INDICATED ZERO.
THE BACK WINDOW OF MY F150 SHATTERED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE TRUCK IS KEPT IN STORAGE BECAUSE IT'S USED ONLY TO PULL A CAMPER ON A FEW OCCASSIONS DURING THE YEAR. ON JANUARY 25, 2018 I WENT INTO THE BED OF THE F150 TO INSTALL A NEW BREAK LIGHT INTO THE DOME OF THE BED. ONCE THE LIGHT WAS INSTALLED, I OPENED THE DOOR OF THE F150 TO TEST THE LIGHT AND I MANUALLY WITH MY HAND, PRESSED DOWN GENTLY ON THE BRAKE. THE BREAK LIGHT WENT ON AND I RE-ATTACHED THE LIGHTING UNIT TO THE TRUCK. ABOUT 1 MINUTE AFTER THAT A LOUD BOOM WAS HEARD AND I SAW THAT THE REAR WINDOW THAT DIVIDES THE CAB SEAT AND THE BED, ON THE PASSANGER SIDE WAS NOT ONLY SHATTERED, BUT THE MIDDLE HAD BROKEN APART AND THERE WAS GLASS NOT ONLY IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK, BUT ALSO THE BACK SEAT OF THE TRUCK WAS COVERED IN GLASS. THE TRUCK WAS IN A GARAGE WHERE IT HAD BEEN STORED FOR WEEKS EARLIER. AT NO TIME WAS THE MOTOR EVER STARTED NOR WERE THE KEYS INSERTED INTO THE IGNITION. THE DEFROST UNIT WAS NOT ON. IT APPEARS THAT SOMETHING ELECTRICAL IN THE FORD TRUCK HAS CAUSED THIS.
WHEN PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LCD GOES BLACK, ASSISTED POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING MAKING IT HARD TO STEER. THEN AFTER A FEW SECONDS COMES BACK ON AND STEERING RAPIDLY CORRECTS TO CURRENT POSITION. SO FAR HAS MOSTLY HAPPENED DURING THE FIRST FEW MINUTES AFTER RUNNING. SO FAR THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED ONCE WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DURING A STRAIGHT STRETCH.
2011 3.5 ECOBOOST WITH 50,000 MILES WOULD LOSE POWER WHEN PASSING AND PULLING INTO TRAFFIC DUE TO CAM TIMING CHAIN DEFECT AND ENGINE ENDED UP BLOWING UP. $5,640 REPAIR AT 54,000 MILES AND STILL NO RECALL ON THIS COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS ENGINE .
THE TRUCK IS MAKING A SEVERE RATTLING NOISE UPON START UP, WHICH CAUSED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ONE. CODES ARE SAYING ITS TIMING CHAIN RELATED. TRUCK WILL LOOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING, YOU CAN'T PUSH ACCELERATOR DOWN WITHOUT IT STALLING OUT OR WITHOUT IT MISSING REAL BAD AND JERKING. HAD TRUCK WORKED ON PREVIOUSLY BY FORD DEALER FOR THE MISSING AND ACCELERATION ISSUES. DEALER SAID IT WAS A COIL PACK AND CHANGED IT OUT AND PLUGS AND WIRES. HERE I AM WITHIN 10,000 MILES LATER AND ITS WORST THAN EVER. THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THESE ECOBOOST ENGINES AND TIMING CHAIN ISSUES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN. AN UNKNOWN FORD DEALER IN MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REQUESTED THAT THE VEHICLE BE BROUGHT IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.
AT 10K BLOWING BLACK SMOKE, LOSE POWER WHEN PASSING AT 10K ALSO, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AT 40K. DEALER FOUND NOTHING WRONG AND CLEARED CODE AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF. AT 54 K ENGINE RAN ROUGH AND WANTED TO STALL, BEGAN TO MAKE NOISE. TOWED TO DEALER. TIMING CHAINS WENT BAD AND BENT VALVES. DEALER SAID 10,000 DOLLARS FOR NEW ENGINE. I TALKED TO FORD AND THEY SAID NOTHING COULD BE DONE. DEALER SAID TO CALL THEM AGAIN. THEY SAID NOTHING CAN BE DONE AGAIN. NEXT DAY DEALER CALLED AND SAID THEY WOULD DO THE ENGINE FOR 5643.00 DOLLARS. THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 54,000 MILES!
ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER TURNING ON THE REAR WINDOW HEATER, A LARGE BANG SOUND WAS HEARD AND THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR WINDOW PANEL WAS SHATTERED. OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 34F.
WHILE MOVING, USUALLY ACCELERATING, THE VEHICLE SHIFTS GEARS AT RANDOM, OFTEN FROM HIGH SPEED (5TH OR 6TH GEAR) DOWN TO A LOW GEAR, THEN BACK TO HIGHER GEAR, THEN BACK TO LOWER GEAR, ETC. THIS CAN HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES. WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING THE SPEEDOMETER BOUNCES FROM 0 TO ACTUAL SPEED. WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCES BOUNCY, LURCHING MOVEMENT. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS & COUNTY HIGHWAYS. HAS HAPPENED WHILE TURNING AND WHILE DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE.
POWER STEERING NOT WORKING
I HAVE A 2011 F150 ECOBOOST. WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE THE LEVER ON THE TRUCK DOES NOT DIAL REVERSE AND THE TRUCK WONT GO IN GEAR, AFTER ABOUT 10 SECONDS THERE IS A WRENCH THAT APPEARS IN THE DASH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE TRUCK IS FINALLY ABLE TO MOVE BACK BUT THE REVERSE LIGHTS WONT WORK WHILE THE TRUCK IS BACKING UP THE REVERSE SENSORS OR CAMERA DONT WORK EITHER MAKING THIS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE. THE TRUCK ALSO EXPERIENSES A MAJOR LOSS OF POWER. AFTER THE WRENCH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEAR INDICATING THERE IS AN ISSUE NONE OF THE OTHER GEARS LIGHT UP WHEN I CHANGE TO OTHER GEARS AND IF I PUT IT ON DRIVE THE TRUCK HAS A LIMITED AMOUNT OF POWER. AND STILL WITH THE WRENCH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, IF I PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND STEP ON THE GAS A LITTLE BIT THE TRUCK WILL ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN FOR A ABOUT 6 ECONDS. THIS ONLY GOES AWAY IF I TURN OFF THE TRUCK AND BACK ON, BUT AS SOON AS I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT WILL HAVE ALL THE ISSUES AGAIN. AND THERE IS NO READING OF THE TRANSMISSION OIL TEMPERATURE EITHER. I CONNECTED A SCANNER TO THE TRUCK TO DIAGNOSE IT AND IT GAVE ME THE CODE: P0705 TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CIRCUIT (PRNDL INPUT) I HAD THE TRUCK SCANNED ALSO BY DIFFERENT SCANNERS AND ALL 3 GIVE THE SAME CODE. THAT CAODE CALLS FOR A BAD TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR, BUT I LOOKED AT THE TRANSMISSION AND THERE IS NO SENSOR ON THE SIDE. I CHECKED ONLINE AND THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM AND SOME FORD MECHANICS SAY CHANGING THE TRANSMISSION LEAD FRAME WILL FIX THE ISSUE. DEALER SAYS MI VIN DOENST SHOW A RECALL FPR THIS. I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE. I AM NIT THE ONLY ONE EXPERIENCING THIS. THE DEALER DID SAY THEIR TRANSMISSION DEPARTMENT WAS BACKED UP THOUGH.

MY 2011 FORD F150 ECOBOOST IS MAKING A HUMMING NOISE WHEN YOU START THE TRUCK AND MOVE THE SHIFTER INTO A GEAR AND APPLY THE BRAKES., DOES THIS FOR ABOUT A MINUTE OR I REV THE ENGINE AND IT GOES AWAY. THE SALEMAN SAID THIS IS NORMAL FOR THIS TYPE MOTOR. THEY ALSO CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS FOR A MISS I WAS HAVING IN THE MOTOR. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES ALWAYS GET SENT AWAY LIKE IM CRAZY ITS ALL IN MY MIND. DON'T KNOW WHERE ELSE TO TURN ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL. THE STEERING WHEEL ON MY 2011 F150 HAS BECOME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN AND IS BECOMING A SAFETY HAZARD WHILE DRIVING. NOT ONLY TO ME AND MY FAMILY BUT FOR OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD. I WILL BE TAKING THE TRUCK IN TO MY MECHANIC TOMORROW FOR A DIAGNOSIS. TRUCK HAS 80K MILES ON IT.

ALSO FORDS INFO FOR THIS RECALL STATES THAT 2011 F150 BUILT AT DEARBORN PLANT BETWEEN THE DATES OF FEBRUARY 11 2011 TO SEPTEMBER 8 2012 ARE COVERED IN THIS RECALL.
