MY TRANSMISSION IS NOT CONSIDERED IN THE RECALL OF OTHER SIMILAR MODELS. I HAVE SPENT $2,000 TO FIX THIS ISSUE THAT IS ALREADY IDENTIFIED AS AN ISSUE. WHEN THE COMPANY SHOULD BE REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE PARTS. TRANSMISSION SOLENOID HAVE BEEN REPLACED NOW THE LEAD FRAME FAILURE ISSUE ALONG WITH THE CODES IDENTIFIED IN OTHER RECALLS.
ON 3 OCCASIONS THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR. TWO OF THESE OCCURRED WHEN PULLING ONTO A 50MPH ROADWAY. I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURN OFF THE TRUCK AND RESTART THE TRUCK. THE TRANSMISSION WORKED PROPERLY AFTER THAT. ON THE MOST RECENT OCCASION I HAD BEEN SLOWED DOWN BY AN ACCIDENT ON THE FREEWAY. AFTER CLEARING THE ACCIDENT I ACCELERATED TO GET UP TO FREEWAY SPEED BUT COULD NOT GO OVER APX. 20 MPH BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE AND COULD NOT GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO SHUT OFF AND RESTART THE TRUCK. AFTER SHIFTING TO FIRST GEAR MANUALLY (AUTO TRANSMISSION) I WAS ABLE TO MANUALLY SHIFT THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THROUGH THE GEARS AND HAD NORMAL TRANSMISSION OPERATION AFTER THAT.
THE TIMING CHAIN BELT WAS SKIPPING, IT WOULD CAUSE THE ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON WHILE DRIVING BUT THEN THE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD GO OFF THE NEXT TIME I'D STAY IT. THIS DID THIS FOR AS LONG AS I HAD IT. I MENTIONED THE ISSUE THO THE DEALER BUT WHEN IN THE GARAGE THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS NO LONGER ON AND THEY WOULD TELL ME NOTHING WAS WRONG AND NO ERROR CODES WERE COMING UP. I'VE HAD THIS TRUCK ONLY 1 YEAR 7 MONTHS AND IT STARTED STALLING OUT. I BROUGHT IT TO THE GARAGE AND IT WAS THE TIMING CHAIN.

WE HAVE SEVERAL OF THE FORD F-150 WITH THE RECALL OF 16S19 BUT THIS ONE HAS EXPERIENCED DOWN SHIFTING AND COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND ALMOST CAUSING A WRECK SEVERAL TIMES TO THE POINT WE HAVE HAD TO TAKE IT OFF THE ROAD FOR SAFETY REASONS. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NOT A REMEDY FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THEY DO KNOW WHEN THERE WILL BE ONE. WE HAVE CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING MEAN WHILE WE HAVE A TRUCK THAT ONLY HAS ABOUT 83,000 MILES ON IT THAT CANNOT BE DRIVEN AND IT WAS NOT BOUGHT TO BE YARD ART. IF FORD CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM THEY SHOULD AT LEAST GIVE A LOANER VEHICLE UNTIL THEY FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT.

IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE REAR WHEELS SCREECHED. THE CONTACT LOOKED AT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED ON ITS OWN. THE CONTACT SLOWED DOWN THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUED DRIVING. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED BY TELEPHONE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V248000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,400.
THE ENGINE (3.5L ECOBOOST) HAS A RATTLE IN THE FRONT REGION WHEN STARTED AND AT LOWER RPM'S WHICH WAS FOLLOWED BY THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR (TIMING CHAIN ISSUE). WHEN DRIVING IN THE CITY THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND STARTED TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. THE SHAKING CEASED UPON ACCELERATING. THE VEHICLE WAS IMMEDIATELY DRIVEN TO A MECHANIC WHERE WE LEARNED THAT THE VCT UNIT (EXHAUST SIDE) HAD SEPARATED AND A PIECE OF THE INTERNAL COMPONENT FLEW OUTWARD BORING A HOLE THROUGH THE VALVE COVER. WE DO NOT KNOW WHERE THE PROJECTILE ENDED (HOPEFULLY NOT INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE OR PEDESTRIAN). IT WAS ALSO FOUND THAT THE OIL WAS SO LOW (FROM THE HOLE IN THE VALVE COVER) THAT IT DID NOT REGISTER ON THE DIP STICK NOR DID THE INDICATION ALERT NOTIFY THE DRIVER IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. WE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL KENDALL FORD DEALERSHIP FOR THE RATTLE/MISFIRE ISSUE BEFORE THE VCT RUPTURED AND THEY GAVE THE TRUCK A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH AFTER THE REPLACEMENT OF A SPARK PLUG ON CYLINDER #2. THE MISFIRE OCCURRED WHEN WE WERE DRIVING ON A LONG HIGHWAY 60MPH AND STARTED TO SHUTTER AND SHAKE WHICH ALMOST CAUSED US TO CRASH (IT ALREADY HAS THE CAC TSB FIX INSTALLED). NHTSA SHOULD RE-OPEN THE INVESTIGATION ON THAT BECAUSE THE FIX DID NOT WORK. IT MAY HAVE IMPROVED IT, BUT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. WE HAVE CONTACTED FORD ON MAY 4TH ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THERE IS NO RECALLS OR ALERTS CONCERNING OUR VEHICLE AND WE WOULD HAVE TO FIX IT OUT OF POCKET. WE ARE CURRENTLY TRYING TO WORK SOMETHING OUT WITH THE DEALER. HOWEVER, THIS ISSUE WHEN SEARCHED APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ONE AND DUE TO FAULTY PARTS, FORD SHOULD IN GOOD FAITH OFFER A RECALL BECAUSE FOR THIS FIX, LIKE OURS, IS ABOUT $2000.00 CONSERVATIVELY. OUR VEHICLE HAS ABOUT 121,000 MILES ON IT.

WHILE CROSSING A MAJOR INTERSECTION THE CAR CAME TO A STOP. THE ENGINE AND THE ELECTRICITY STAYED ON HOWEVER RPM'S DROPPED TO LESS THAN 1000 AND IT JUST ROLLED TO A STOP. I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND NOTHING HAPPENED. THIS PERSISTED FOR 10 SECONDS. LUCKILY, JUST BEFORE I WAS ALMOST HIT THE ACCELERATOR STARTED WORKING AGAIN AND I BARELY MADE IT CLEAR. I BROUGHT THE TRUCK IN AS IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY SAID THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE ISSUE IS BUT CAN'T FIX IT UNTIL THEY CAN RE-CREATE IT. THEY HAVE SEEN THIS ON MANY F-150'S OF THIS YEAR AND TYPE. THEY HAVE HAD MY TRUCK FOR 3 DAYS AND CAN'T MAKE IT HAPPEN AGAIN SO THEY HAVE ASKED ME TO COME GET IT, KNOWING IT HAS THIS ISSUE. MY TAKE ON THIS IS I AM A GUINEA PIG UNTIL IT HAPPENS ENOUGH, SOMEONE DIES AND A RECALL STARTS.
ENGINE FAILURE ON HARD ACCELERATION. TRUCK DID NOT MAINTAIN SPEED AND RECOVER.I HAD TO TAKE FOOT OFF OF GAS PEDAL FOR ENGINE TO RECOVER. THIS OCCURRED IN FLORIDA UNDER PASSING CONDITIONS. IS NHTSA WAITING FOR DEATHS OR WOULD ANOTHER REPORT FROM FORD THAT IT'S NOT A PROBLEM WOULD DO?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN MADE THE CONTACT AWARE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V190000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING , POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
THE REAR WINDOW DEFROST ISN'T PROPERLY WORK AND I'VE READ MULTIPLE REVIEWS OF THIS ISSUE WITH SOME WINDOWS EVEN EXPLODING. THIS TRUCK IS A FAMILY VEHICLE AND THE REAR WINDOW EXPLODING ON MY DAUGHTERS IS A HUGE CONCERN.
ROLLING BACKWARDS FROM PARK IN REVERSE THE BRAKES ABS STARTED PUSHING BACK ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ALLOWED THE VEHICLE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE IN REVERSE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, A CLICKING SOUND WAS HEARD FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED. THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE RIGHT INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTARTED IT, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION OIL FILTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
ON WIDE OPEN THROTTLE ENGINE MISFIRES . GOT IT TO SET A CODE AFTER ANOTHER HARD THROTTLE.DROVE TRUCK 1500 MILES AND GOT 21 MPG.AFTER TRIP I TOOK IT TO DEALER CODES PO300 0304 0305 0306.HAD TSB FOR PROBLEM DONE LAST JUNE. STILL HAS SAME PROBLEM.DEALER STATES MAY BE PLUGS. DOESN"T SEEM POSSIBLE GETTING 21 MPG WITH BAD PLUGS. THEY WANT 260 DOLLARS TO CHECK PLUGS ON ONE BANK. FORD NEEDS TO GET THIS PROBLEM WITH WIDE OPEN THROTTLE MISS FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT OR KILLED.TSB DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE NEWER TRUCKS HAVE A DIFFERENT INNERCOOLER SYSTEM IS THE MOISTURE CAUSING BAD SPARK PLUGS? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?
AFTER REAR DEFROST WAS ACTIVATED WHILE DRIVING TO WORK IN THE MORNING THERE WAS A VERY LOUD BANG AND THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR WINDOW BROKE AND SPIDERED. THIS OCCURRED ON APRIL 15 2016. TEMP WAS ABOUT 35 DEG F. NOTE REAR WINDOW WAS REPLACED ONCE ALREADY IN 2013 FOR THE REAR DEFROST NOT WORKING.

THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AGGRESSIVELY. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS, THE STEERING BECAME STIFF ONCE AGAIN AND DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. I HAVE A 2011 FORD F150 ECOBOOST. I RECEIVED A EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR ISSUES OCCURRING WITH THE ELECTRIC VACUUM PUMP. I HAVE DIAGNOSED AN ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES AFTER STARTING THE TRUCK UP. I STARTED THE TRUCK UP PUT IT IN REVERSE BACKED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY AND LOST ALL ABILITY TO BRAKE AND STOP THE TRUCK. IF THERE WAS A VEHICLE OR INDIVIDUAL BEHIND ME THERE COULD HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT WHERE INJURY OR DEATH COULD HAVE OCCURRED DUE TO THE INABILITY TO STOP THE TRUCK WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL. I BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH THE ISSUE AND THEY IGNORED THE ELECTRIC VACUUM PUMP STATING THAT IT WAS THE MASTER PISTON AND IT WOULD COST 700 DOLLARS TO FIX. AFTER DOING RESEARCH I BELIEVE I WAS LIED TOO AFTER OTHERS HAVE REENACTED THE SAME SITUATION THAT HAS OCCURRED TO ME. IF THE BRAKING ISSUE OCCURS MORE THAN ONCE I WILL ESCALATE THIS ISSUE TO HIGHER AUTHORITY INDIVIDUALS AT FORD. THIS ISSUE MUST BE FIXED BEFORE INJURY, DEATH OR LITIGATION OCCURS.
#1: DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, ATTEMPTING TO PASS A SEMI; VEHICLE LOST POWER AS I TRIED TO ACCELERATE AND WE HAD TO COAST TO A STOP. THIS HAS ACTUALLY HAPPENED TWICE. THE FIRST TIME THEY REPLACED THE INTERCOOLER AND THE SECOND TIME I REPLACED THE SPARK PLUGS. IT OCCURRED ABOUT THREE WEEKS AFTER GETTING THE VEHICLE IT'S REGULAR SERVICE. IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE GAPS ON THE PLUGS, AND THEY KNEW CARS WERE LOSING POWER BECAUSE OF IT, THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THAT AT THE SERVICE! #2: DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND SPEEDOMETER JUMPED AROUND AND WENT TO ZERO. AFTER I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY, I LOST POWER AND HAD ERRATIC SHIFTING WHILE TRYING TO CROSS AN INTERSECTION. THERE'S A TSB OUT FOR THIS TOO!! WHY ISN'T THERE A RECALL IF THERE'S A DEFECTIVE PART THAT CREATES DANGEROUS SITUATIONS!?!?

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO REVERSE FROM THE GEAR SHIFTER SEVERAL TIMES, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO ILLUMINATE FOR THE GEAR IN REVERSE, THERE WAS NO ILLUMINATION ON THE GEAR SHIFTER, AND THE GEAR WAS DIFFICULT TO CHANGE IN REVERSE. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS ILLUMINATED FOR THE GEAR SHIFTER WHEN CHANGING GEARS. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO RANDOMLY PROGRESS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,250.
POWER STEERING WORKS SPORADICALLY WHEN COLD AND AT VERY LOW SPEEDS, SUCH AS CLOSE TURNS INTO DRIVES ETC. STEERING RESEMBLES OLD MANUAL STEERING. HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE FIRST OF THIS YEAR.
AT 50 MPH WHILE ACCELERATING IN TRAFFIC THE ENGINE SHOOK AND I LOST POWER. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WITH THE ECOBOOST ENGINE. FORD TOLD THE NHTSA THIS WAS CORRECTED AND THE SUIT WAS ENDED. FORD WILL NOT INSTALL THIS REPAIR IN MY TRUCK.
UNDER ACCELERATION THE VEHICLE SHUDDERS, AND SHAKES. IT SEEMS TO LOSE POWER FOR SECONDS BEFORE IT PICKS BACK UP. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE PULLING MY CAMPER AND PASSING VEHICLES ON HIGHWAY AND INTERSTATE. THE OTHER DAY WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE PARKWAY THE TRUCK DOWN SHIFTED FROM 6TH GEAR TO 1ST OR 2ND WITHOUT WARNING. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED AND HAD TO DRIVE OFF ONTO THE SHOULDER TO AVOID THE COLLISION. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD AND I WILL BE TAKING THE TRUCK IN FOR WARRANTY WORK ON WEDNESDAY APRIL 6TH 2016. I ONLY HAVE 3K MILES LEFT ON POWER TRAIN WARRANTY AND NONE LEFT ON BUMPER TO BUMPER. I PURCHASE FORD VEHICLES CAUSE OF THERE LONG LASTING AND RELIABLE REPUTATION. I HAVE TWO CHILDREN AND WIFE THAT I EXPECT TO KEEP SAFE WHILE DRIVING THIS TRUCK. I HOPE FORD WILL LOOK DEEPER INTO THE PROBLEMS AT HAND, DONT BE LIKE GM AND KILL PEOPLE BEFORE YOU FIX THE ISSUES.

VEHICLE HAS ABRUPT SHIFT FROM 1ST TO SECOND RESULTING IN VIOLET JERK, ALSO FROM 6 TO 5 OR 5TH TO 4TH. NUMEROUS PEOPLE ONLINE HAVE SAME PROBLEM. REAR WINDOW SHATTERING DUE TO REAR DEFROST TEMP IN THE 30'S, STARTED MY TRUCK, TURNED ON THE FRONT & REAR DEFROST FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE LEAVING THE DRIVEWAY. HEARD A LOUD POP FROM BEHIND ME. MY DRIVERS SIDE REAR WINDOW WAS SHATTERED. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF THE DEFROST, AND TURNED OFF MY CAR. GOOD THING I HADN'T PUT MY CHILD IN THE CAR SEAT BEFORE THE DEFROSTER CAUSED THE GLASS TO SHATTER. I NEVER PUT THE VEHICLE IN GEAR, STAYED STATIONARY.

WHILE PASSING A SEMI ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY MY ECOBOOST F150 BEGAN TO SHUTTER AND LOOSE POWER. I UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE ALREADY INVESTIGATED THIS ISSUE AND DETERMINED IT WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. AFTER MY EXPERIENCE TODAY I RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE, LET ME EXPLAIN. WHEN THIS HAPPENS WHILE PASSING SOMEONE AND YOU'RE FORCED TO SLOW DOWN WHILE IN WRONG LANE. THIS CAN BE QUITE SCARY, CARS COMING AT YOU, CARS BEHIND YOU ALSO WANTING TO PASS AND A LARGE SEMI NEXT YOU.

ON MARCH 24, 2016 I STARTED MY VEHICLE AND ACTIVATED REAR DEFROST AS THERE HAD BEEN SOME LIGHT SNOW BUILD UP. WITHIN A FEW MOMENTS I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD AT APPROX 45 MPH. ABOUT TWO MINUTES LATER I HEARD A LOUD BANG THAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT. THIS WAS A BIT STARTLING AND MY REACTION IMMEDIATELY CAUSED ME TO SWERVE INTO THE ADJACENT LANE OF TRAFFIC. I QUICKLY PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT THE RIGHT REAR WINDOW HAD SHATTERED. THE SLIDER AND LEFT SIDE DID NOT BREAK, ONLY THE RIGHT. THIS COULD HAVE TURNED OUT MUCH WORSE HAD THERE BEEN A VEHICLE DRIVING NEXT TO ME AT THE TIME. VERY SCARY EXPERIENCE AND POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS.
POWER STEERING ASSIST DEFAULT THIS MESSAGE COMES UP AND POWER STEERING IS GONE. THE LOCAL REPAIR SHOP GETS A CODE THE SAYS "STEERING ANGLE SENSOR" THE VEHICLE IS DRIVABLE AT SPEEDS OF 45 MPH BUT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AT LOW SPEEDS. THE STEERING IS JERKY AND HARD TO TURN. STEERING MAKES A LOT OF RACKET ESPECIALLY ON SHARP TURNS. AFTER SHARP TURNS LIKE WHEN PARKING THIS MESSAGE COMES UP - "SERVICE ADVANCE TRACK" THEN THE TURN SIGNALS HAVE TO BE MANUALLY HELD ON. THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED.

MY STEERING HAS BECOME TIGHT AND CATCHES WHEN TURNING TO THE LEFT. IT CATCHES WHEN AT A STOP OR GOING AROUND CURVES LIKE I'VE LOST THE POWER STEERING AND HAS CAUSED ME TO ALMOST HIT OTHER VEHICLES ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I'M DRIVING 25 MILES AN HOUR OR DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. IT PULLS TO THE LEFT ALL THE TIME.

THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES IN A DAY DURING DRIVES ON DIFFERENT TURNS ON THE HIGHWAY OR CITY STREETS. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE MILEAGE WHEN FAILURE BEGAN WAS 37,000 MILES.

MY F-150 SUPERCREW 4X4 WITH ECOBOOST ENGINE BEGAN MISFIRING ON HARD ACCELERATION SITUATIONS, SUCH AS MERGING AND CHANGING LANES ON THE INTERSTATE. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 2 MONTHS, THE ISSUE HAS GOTTEN WORSE TO THE POINT OF MISFIRING UNDER NORMAL ACCELERATION. THE JERKING FROM THE MISFIRE CONDITION IS QUITE VIOLENT, AND I BELIEVE TO BE UNSAFE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE RELATED TO THE DESIGN OF THE TRUCKS INTERCOOLER. CONDENSATION BUILDS DURING PROLONGED HIGHWAY DRIVING, PARTICULARLY IN HUMID CLIMATES. I AM IN ARIZONA, BUT I DRIVE 50+ MILES A DAY ON THE FREEWAY. THE NHTSA DROPPED THEIR INVESTIGATION OF THIS UNSAFE CONDITION, APPARENTLY AGREEING THAT FORD'S TSB WAS SUFFICIENT IN DEALING WITH THE MATTER. MY TRUCK IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY, HOWEVER IT EXHIBITS A DESIGN FLAW THAT IS UNSAFE. HOW IS THERE NOT A RECALL ON THIS? DISAPPOINTING.

WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED (70) MPH THE TRANSITION WILL DOWN SHIFT INTO LOW GEAR CAUSING THE REAR TIRES TO SKID, ENGINE RPM TO SPIKE. THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING AND IF ON WET OR SNOW-COVERED ROADS YOU WOULD NOT MAINTAIN CONTROL. I FEEL THIS NEEDS TO BE A FORD RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED FROM LOSS OF CONTROL OR GETTING REAR ENDED BY A SEMI CAUSED BY THE SUDDEN STOPPING OF THE AFFECTED AUTO.
WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN AND THE SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS BECAUSE I WAS MAKING A SLIGHT TURN ON A COUNTRY ROAD WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED I HAD MY LITTLE NIECE (18MONT) IN THE TRUCK TO THINK THAT I COULD OF LOST HER BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE TISK TISK FORD YOU LET ME DOWN. WHEN DRIVING THE TRUCK AND I HIT THE BRAKES, SOMETIMES THE CAR AUTOMATICALLY ACCELERATES HAVING A HARD TIME TRYING TO CONTROL THE SPEED OF THE TRUCK. WENT TO THE DEALER AND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN TO THEM, CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY THIS HAPPENS. NOW I HAVE TO BRAKE A GREAT DISTANCE IN ADVANCE BEFORE ACTUALLY GOING TO STOP BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF AND WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. IT ALSO HAPPENED WHEN I WAS BACKING UP INTO A PARKING SPACE AND HAD TO JAM IN PARK TO STOP IT. IT JUST HAPPENS WITH NO WARNING. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST TWO YEARS.
