TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE REQUIRED A LONGER TIME TO STOP WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,395.
THERE ARE @ HOSES THAT COME OUT OF THE RADIATOR AND GO INTO A HARD PLASTIC T-PIECE (PART NUMBER DR3Z-8566-A) AND THERE ARE O-RINGS INSIDE OF IT. MINE STARTED LEAKING AND I WAS INFORMED THAT I HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE PIECE NO BIG DEAL. THEN THE DEALER SHIP WENT ON TO TELL ME THAT THEY HAVE REPLACED 6 IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS OF THE SAME EXACT YEAR AND MODEL. THE DEALER SHIP IS IN LIMA OHIO. THAT BEING SAID IF THERE ARE SO MANY OF THESE THAT ARE GOING BAD AND THE VEHICLE ONLY BEING 5 YEARS OLD I FEEL LIKE THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A DEFECT IN THE PART/ DESIGN OF IT THAT CAUSES IT TO FAIL.
VEHICLE STEERING IT VERY JERKY AND LOCKS UP, PARTICULARY WHEN TURNING LEFT. MAKES VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO DRIVE IN A STRAIGHT LINE WITHOUT 'WANDERING" IN THE LANE. NOT SAFE. STARTED ABOUT A YEAR AGO, GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE FAILED AND THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY DOWNSHIFTED INTO FIRST GEAR. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER ALTHOUGH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS BEING DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE JERKED BEFORE RESUMING NORMAL ACCELERATION. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V248000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. 2011 FORD F-150. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR MALFUNCTION. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN THE BLEND DOOR FAILED, THE HVAC SYSTEM WOULD BLOW HOT AIR INTO THE CABIN. THE CONSUMER STATED THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM WAS THE BLEND DOORS GEAR TEETH BECOMING BRITTLE UNDER NORMAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND SHEARING OFF, WHICH PREVENTED THE ACTUATION OF THE BLEND DOOR AND THEN IT BECAME SPRING LOADED TO A FULL TEMPERATURE CONDITION. THE BLEND DOOR FAILED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS. *JB
WHEN ACCELERATING, ESPECIALLY GOING UPHILL, THE ENGINE MAKES A REPETITIVE WHOOSHING NOISE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED ABRUPTLY AND HESITATED TO RESPOND FOR A GREAT DISTANCE. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED SMOKE UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 282,830.
MY 2011 FORD F-150 WITH THE ECOBOOST PACKAGE WILL STALL UPON ACCELERATION. THE ENGINE LIGHT WILL FLASH MOMENTARILY. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUES AS IT CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO ACT IN A MANNER THAT INST PREDICTABLE WHEN CHANGING LANES ON AN INTERSTATE OR PASSING. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AND A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH INDICATES THIS ISSUE IS WIDESPREAD WITH THIS MODEL.
DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH AND TURNED ON REAR GLASS DEFROSTER. A LOUD BANG WAS HEARD AND DISCOVERED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE GLASS HAD SHATTERED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRS SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE IN REVERSE WHEN PROMPTED TO SWITCH GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000.
I HAVE 63,000 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE. IN THE LAST WEEK THE STEERING HAS ACTED VERY WEIRD. I HAVE TO OVERCOMPENSATE (OVERSTEER OR UNDERSTEER) IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THE CORRECT TURN. I WAS TRAVELING IN TOWN. I WOULDN'T DRIVE IT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE I'M NOT SURE I CAN DEPEND ON THE STEERING. ITS CONTINUING NOT TO STEER CORRECTLY (LAST TUESDAY UNTIL NOW). THE WEATHER HAS BEEN VERY MILD FOR MINNESOTA (20-40S). I CHECKED FOR ICE AND DAMAGE BUT DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING.
IN 2016 I WENT TO GET RECALL REPAIRED FROM FRANKLIN TN DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE TRUCK FROM, THEY REFUSED, IN 2019, THEY CLAIM THAT THE SOFTWARE WAS NOT AVAILABLE FROM FORD, ONLINE IN EMAILS TO ANOTHER DEALER, I HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD WHEN TO BRING TRUCK IN TO GET ALL RECALLS REPAIRED. BOTH DEALERSHIPS ARE IN TN. WHEN IN FIRST GEAR, THE TRUCK WILL JERK BACK DOWN AND WON'T ALLOW ME TO GO TO 2ND GEAR WITHOUT PRESSING HARD ON GAS, LOUD FAN NOISE FROM THE HOOD, BREAKS GO TO THE FLOOR AND I HAVE TO PUMP TO FEEL TRUCK SLOWING DOWN, AIR AND HEAT CONTINUE TO NOT WORK, AIR WON'T GET COOL AND HEAT WON'T GET HOT, BOTH DEALERSHIPS HAVE REFUSED TO REPAIR OR BLAMED FORD FOR NOT GIVING THEM WHAT THEY NEEDED TO FIX THE RECALLS. LUG NUTS ON VEHICLE EXPAND SPLIT AND CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM WHEEL. VARIOUS MECHANICS AT COSTCO AND FORD DEALERSHIPS STATE THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. THE REPLACEMENT OF THE LUG NUTS COST $165.00 FOR TO REPLACE ON THE FOUR TIRES. AFTER REPLACING THE LUG NUTS BY AN AUTHORIZED FORD DEALER I WAS TOLD THIS COULD HAPPEN AGAIN. THE PROBLEM WAS DISCOVERED WHEN I TRIED TO ROTATE THE TIRES. WHEN I PAID FOR THE REPLACEMENT AND ASKE3D FOR THE OLD PARTS I WAS TOLD THEY HAD ALREADY BEEN DISPOSED OF.
I TURNED ON THE REAR DEFROSTER. THE CAR HAD BEEN RUNNING FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES TRAVELING ON HIGHWAYS 55-65 MPH. SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT INSIDE THE CAR AND MY REAR WINDSHIELD ON PASSENGER SIDE WAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED. THE REAR DEFROSTER IS NOT WORKING. I BELIEVE THE REAR DEFROSTER GOT SO HOT THAT IT SHATTERED THE GLASS.
WHEN THE ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING FAILS, ONE IS UNABLE TO TURN THE WHEELS ANY FURTHER. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR STATIONARY, AND HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS, DOESN'T MATTER CITY OR HIGHWAY DRIVING. I FEEL THIS IS A CRITICAL SAFETY ISSUE, SINCE ONE WOULD BE UNABLE TO TURN THE WHEELS IN ORDER TO AVOID A HAZARD IN THE ROAD, I.E. A CHILD DARTING OUT ONTO THE STREETS, OR, IF ONE WHAT FOLLOWING A CURVE IN THE ROAD, ONE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THE CURVE, AND COULD END UP OFF THE ROAD, OR, IMPACTING AN OBJECT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, OR, END UP IN A BODY OF WATER, OR, DOWN AN EMBANKMENT.

ADDING 1/2 GALL -5O/50 MIXTURE COOLANT. 02/16/2016 - APPLE FORD (COLUMBIA , MD ) CHECK ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM. --- FOUND COOLANT TANK AND COOLANT HOSE FROM TANK TO HEATER CORE LEAKING. CAR MILEAGE-44117. CAR FOR LIFE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE,MULITPOINT INSPECTION.
HARD BRAKE PETAL WHEN FIRST STARTING VEHICLE. TAKES UP TO 60 SECONDS TO HAVE POWER BRAKES. I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR TWO PLUS YEARS.
WHEN THE "SERVICE ADVANCE TRACK" LIGHT INDICATOR LIGHTS UP, WHEN YOU ACTUATE THE TURN SIGNAL LEVER, THE TURN SIGNALS WILL ONLY FLASH ONCE, AND THEN THEY STOP FLASHING. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR MOVING AT ANY TIME.
TRUCK DARTS TO LEFT ACROSS CENTER LANE OF ROAD WITH OUT NOTICE IT FEELS AS IF THOUGH IT IS STUCK THERE I MUST USE A TUG ON STEERING WHEEL TO PULL IT BACK IT RELEASES QUICKLY CAUSING OVER CORRECTION AND ALMOST CAUSING RUNNING OFF RIGHT SIDE OF ROAD I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS TRUCK OVER 40 MILES PER HR. ELECTRIC STEERING CAUSED VEHICLE TO DART AND MOST DIFFICULT TO DRIVE SAFELY IT TENDS TO STICK AND IS A LITTLE HARD TO CONTROL WHEN CORRECTING THE PROBLEM. THIS HAPPENS MOST ALL OF THE TIME. THIS TRUCK IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE OVER 25 MPH.
I TURNED ON THE TRUCK WITH THE REMOTE STARTER. THIS IS APPARENTLY TIED INTO THE AUTO DEFROSTER ON THE BACK WINDOW. AS SOON AS I GOT IN THE CAR AND STARTED TO DRIVE THE BACK WINDOW BLEW OUT FOR NO REASON. I DID A SEARCH ON THE WEB AND APPARENTLY THIS IS AN EXTREMELY COMMON PROBLEM. THE NOISE WAS SO LOUD I ACTUALLY THOUGHT SOMEONE SHOT OUT MY WINDOW!!
2011 FORD F150 LARIAT - WHEN ACCELERATING TO PASS, ENGINE LIGHTS WILL FLASH AND THE TRUCK WILL LOSE POWER. AFTER SEVERAL SECONDS OF FLASHING, THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON AND THE TRUCK DECELERATES. I SHUT THE TRUCK OFF AND THEN RE-STARTED BUT THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. I WAS TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY AND HAD TO PULL OFF TO A CITY STREET. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
BRAKES FAILING WHEN COLD NO VACUUM BOOST GRINDING NOISE AT FLOOR DRIVER SIDE BRAKE PEDDLE VERY HARD TO PRESS.
I HAVE THE ECOBOOST MOTOR. I WAS PASSING A VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY THE TRUCK LOST ALL POWER AND STARTED SHUTTERING. THE WEATHER WAS DRY AND SUNNY. IF THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN SOMEONE COMING AND I HAD TO ACCELERATE HARD TO GET AROUND THE VEHICLE THAT I WAS PASSING, IT COULD HAVE BEEN BAD. I TOOK THIS TRUCK IN FOR THIS PROBLE BEFORE TO FORD AND THEY PUT A AIR DAM PLATE KIT IN FRONT OF THE CAC. THEY SAID THAT THIS WAS FORDS FIX FOR THE PROBLEM SO THEY KNOW THEY A HAVE DEFECT WITH THE SYSTEM. THIS FIX ISN'T WORKING AND I READ WHERE THEY WEREN'T GOING TO MAKE FORD FIX THE PROBLEM THAT GOING TO GET SOMEONE HURT OR KILLED IN THESE VEHICLES SOMEDAY. I GUESS THAT'S WHAT IT TAKE BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE. THIS IS MY SECOND COMPLAINT FILED FOR THIS DEFECT.
UPON DOWNSHIFT DURING ACCELERATION, THE TRUCK SHUDDERS, MISFIRES, BACKFIRES THROUGH EXHAUST SYSTEM, AND LOSES POWER WHILE CREATING A VIOLENT SHAKE IN THE DRIVETRAIN. THIS OCCURS IN BELOW 35 DRY OR WET WEATHER. THIS ISSUE DESTROYED MY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS, AS WELL AS BROKE LOOSE THE BAFFLES IN FACTORY MUFFLER CAUSING OVER $2,000 IN REPAIRS FOR EXHAUST. I FURTHER REPLACED PLUGS, AND PLUG BOOTS. THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO HAVE THIS SEVERE ISSUE, AND THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP FROM FURTHER DAMAGING THE VEHICLE IS TO PULL OFF THE ROAD, AND IDLE AS WELL AS REV ENGINE FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. IT IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE, AND NEARLY CAUSED OTHER VEHICLES TO REAR ENDED ME ON AT LEAST 5 OCCASIONS. ALL OF WHICH I HAD TO JUMP ONTO SHOULDER OF ROAD OR IN MEDIAN TO KEEP FROM GETTING HIT. MY RESEARCH SHOWS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AMONGST OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE. I CURRENTLY OWE $22,000 ON THIS VEHICLE, AND AM QUITE FRUSTRATED WITH THE LACK OF A RECALL FROM FORD. SOLUTIONS OF A WALKER CAC ARE KNOWN; HOWEVER, FORD IS NOT WILLING TO EVEN CONSIDER PAYING FOR THIS FIX. PLEASE HELP IN THE RESOLVING OF THIS ISSUE?
MY LEFT PANEL OF THE REAR WINDOW IS SHATTERED AFTER TURNING THE REAR DEFROST ON. CALLED FORD, THEY WILL NOT REPLACE.
PRIMARY TIMING CHAIN WEAR. ACCORDING TO TSB. 15-0044,THE STRUCTURE OF THE TIMING CHAIN IS INFERIOR TO THE POINT IT STRETCHES. IF IT BREAKS, THE ENGINE WILL BE COMPROMISED AND A FULL RE-HAUL OF ENGINES INTERIOR WILL BE NEEDED. A LOUD GRINDING NOISE IS ALWAYS HEARD UPON STARTUP IN A "COLD" START UP.SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON LINE CONCERING FORD'S BELOW STANDARD OF MATERIAL / COST OF ANY REPAIRS. ALSO MENTIONED IS AFTER REPAIRS ARE DONE, SAME TROUBLE RETURNS IN SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AFTER REPAIRS. UNKNOWN THE AFFECT THE TIMING CHAIN WILL HAVE ON VEHICLE IF IT BREAKS IN TRANSIT. NOTE: AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, THE ISSUE HAS STARTED AS SOON AS VEHICLE PURCHASED REACHES "OUT OF WARRANTY" MILEAGE STATUS.
UPON RETURNING HOME FROM WORK, I PARKED THE TRUCK IN THE DRIVEWAY. THE NEXT DAY, I WENT TO THE TRUCK TO GO TO WORK AND THE TRUCK HAD ROLLED BACK AND PARTIALLY INTO THE STREET. WHEN I GOT INTO THE TRUCK, IT WAS IN PARK. WHEN ARRIVING HOME FROM WORK THAT EVENING, I AGAIN PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, PLACED THE TRUCK IN "PARK" AND WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, THE TRUCK ROLLED BACK IN A JERKY MOTION. I NOW HAVE TO PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, TO PREVENT THE TRUCK FROM ROLLING BACK INTO THE STREET. THE DISTANCE THE TRUCK ROLLED BACK WAS APPROXIMATELY 4 FEET AND IT SEEMED TO HAPPEN SLOWLY ENOUGH THAT IT WASN'T NOTICEABLE UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. THIS HAPPENED THE DAY AFTER NEW YEARS 2016 AND TO DATE, I HAVEN'T ADDRESSED THE ISSUE THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving for an extended period in humid weather, condensation would build up around the intercooler. The moisture around the intercooler then got sucked into engine combustion chamber resulting in engine misfire. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

LEFT TURN SIGNAL AND BRAKE LIGHT NOT WORKING
WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL GETS STUCK TO THE LEFT WITH ANY SLIGHT MOVEMENT. SLIGHT TURN TO THE RIGHT AND IT GETS STUCK TO THE LEFT WHEN RETURNING TO THE NEUTRAL POSITION AND WHEN SLIGHTLY TURNED TO THE LEFT, IT GETS STUCK WHEN TRYING TO RETURN TO THE NEUTRAL POSITION. THE BRAKE VACCUM PUMP MAKES NOISE ON START UP. THIS IS THE SECOND ONE SINCE I HAVE HAD IT. THEREMEMBER IS ALSO A LOSS OF BRAKE PRESSURE. WHEN TAPPING THE BRAKES IN REVERSE THE PUMP WILL ALWAYS MAKE LIKE A BUILD UP NOISE. ALSO EXTREME BRAKE DUST IS VISIBLE ON RIMS. I HAVE BRAKES AND ROARS JUST UNDER THE BEST YOU CAN GET.
REAR PASSENGER SIDE OF REAR SLIDER WINDOW SHATTERED WHEN OPERATING DEFROSTER WHEN APPROX. 27 DEG. F. NO IMPACT, BUT LOUD GUNSHOT LIKE SOUND AND GLASS WAS SIMPLY SHATTERED WHILE DRIVING. LUCKILY THE GLASS DIDN'T SEPARATE AS I HAD 3 CHILDREN IN REAR IN CHILD SEATS, ONE REAR FACING. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM.
I OWN A 2011 FORD F150. DRIVING HOME FROM WORK LAST WEEK IN THE DARK I JUST GOT ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING HIT THE BOTTOM OF THE TRUCK OR A GUN WAS SHOT. DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, I THEN NOTICED THE REAR DEFROSTER LIGHT WAS NOT ON I WENT TO TURN IT ON AND IT DID NOT GO ON THAT IS WHEN I LOOKED AT MY BACK WINDOW AND NOTICED IT WAS SHATTERED ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE. WHEN I GOT HOME I WENT ON THE INTERNET AND SAW THAT THIS WAS HAPPENING A LOT SO I CONTACTED FORD ABOUT THE WINDOW AND THEY SAID THAT THEY CHECKED THERE RESOURCES AND VERIFIED THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY RECALLS OR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAMS AT THIS TIME AND IT MUST BE INSPECTED BY A FORD DEALERSHIP TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF ANY SYMPTOMS MY VEHICLE MAY BE EXPERIENCING. WENT TO FORD DEALER THEY SAID THAT I SHOULD JUST GO TO A GLASS SPECIALIST TO HAVE IT FIXED. SO I TOOK IT TO A GLASS SPECIALIST AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE REPLACED AT LEAST 14 REAR WINDOWS ON FORD TRUCKS BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM IN THE PAST COUPLE MONTHS, I SHOULD CALL FORD AND COMPLAIN AND HANG ON TO MY RECEIPT.
WHILE TRAVELING AT 40 MPH ON COUNTRY ROAD THREE TIMES AND ONCE GOING DOWN THE HWY. AT 65 MPH THE TRANSMISSION DOWN SHIFTED TO 1ST GEAR VERY VIOLENTLY WITH NO WARNING. NOTICED THE SPEEDOMETER ALSO DROPPED DOWN TO 0 AND BOUNCED AROUND AS THIS HAPPENED. THIS HAS HAPPENED ALL IN THE PAST WEEK.
WHILE TURNING THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. I WAS NOT GOING FAST BUT IT STRAIGHTENED OUT THE TRUCK AND LUCKILY THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE LEFT LANE. THE POWER STEERING ASSIST AS WELL AS THE SERVICE ADVANCETRAC WARNING MESSAGES CAME ON. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE HOME BUT DEFINITELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. THE TRUCK IS AT THE DEALER AND HOPEFULLY BEING FIXED. THIS IS A SCARY FAILURE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. A FEW DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES AND THIS COULD HAVE HURT SOMEONE. SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING IN A TURN SHOULD NOT BE SOMETHING A VEHICLE WITH 37,400 MILES ON IT SHOULD HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN AND INTERSTATE "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE" WARNING COMES UP AND I LOST ALL POWER STEERING. I WAS ABLE TO MUSCLE THE CAR HOME AND AFTER CALLING THE DEALER THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THEY HAD NO IDEA WHY THAT WOULD HAPPEN. AFTER RESEARCHING ON THE SITE, IT SEEMS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THAT IS RECALLED IN SOME MODEL YEARS BUT NOT IN OTHERS. I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE "SERVICE ADVANCETRAK" WARNING COMING ON SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND WAS ALWAYS TOLD IT WASN'T HURTING ANYTHING. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT AFTER READING IT MAY NOT DO ANY GOOD. I WILL BE AT THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW.

NO BRAKE BOOST UPON STARTING, WHEN YOU START THE MOTOR WHEN COLD THERE IS NO BRAKE VACUUM BOOST FOR ABOUT 15 TO 20 SECONDS.. THE "BRAKE ASSIST PUMP" BEHIND THE LEFT HEADLAMP CORRODES AND LOCKS UP AND UNTILL THE MOTOR GETS ENOUGH VACUUM THERE IS VERY LITTLE BRAKING ABILITY. FORD GAVE ME A NEW PUMP BUT I HAD TO [XXX], I KNOW YOU ARE LOOKING INTO THIS, JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW. THIS COULD VERY EASILY BE A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL. ELECTRONIC BRAKE VACUM PUMP IS LOUD WHEN STARTING THE TRUCK, BREAKS ARE HARD AT START AND FAIL WHEN IN REVERSE. CAN HEAR THE PUMP GET LOUD AT STOPS. THIS OCCURS EVERY SINGLE TIME THE STRUCK IS STARTED AND AT IDLE. THEM PUMP IS LOUD FOR APROX 30 SECONDS TO 1 MINUTE ON EACH OCCURRENCE.
REAR DEFROSTER QUIT WORKING FOR AWHILE. TURNED ON THE TRUCK TODAY. IT WAS ABOUT 26F OUTSIDE. I TRIED TO TURN ON MY REAR DEFROSTER BUTTON AGAIN. IT DID NOT TURN ON. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ABOUT 35-40 MPH. HEARD A LOUD BANG, NOTICED MY DRIVERS SIDE REAR SLIDING WINDOW IS NOW SHATTERED. CALLED THE FORD DEALERSHIP THEY HAD NO IDEA OF THIS HAPPENDING. CALLED FORD CUSTOMER CARE, THEY HAD NO IDEA OF THIS EITHER. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ON THE INTERNET KNOWS OF THIS ISSUE EXCEPT FORD AND THEIR DEALERS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 189,000.
VEHICLE HAS BEEN SPUTTERING & MISSING. HEAVY HESITATION ON ACCELERATION. ON 12/01/15 MY TRUCK EQUIPPED 3.5 ECOBOOST STARTED MISSING UPON ACCELERATION THEN LOST ALL POWER AND STARTED TO SHAKE VIGOROUSLY. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTICS THEY RETURNED WITH SAYING MY ENGINE, TURBOS & CRANKSHAFT ARE DAMAGED AND MUST BE ALL REPLACED. I AM WITHIN THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY BUT EXCEEDING THE MILEAGE WITH 71,000. MYSELF & HOLMES TUTTLE FORD FILED A CLAIM WITH FORD BOTH BEING DENIED ANY HELP.
FORD F150 3.5L ECOBOOST COMPLETELY LOOSES POWER WHEN ACCELERATING IN PASSING GEAR. VEHICLE SHUTTERS AND BUCKS SEVERALLY AND DOES NOT ALLOW ANY TYPE OF ACCELERATION TO BE ABLE TO EXIT INTO SLOW LANE INTERSTATE TRAFFIC. NORMAL OPERATION RETURNS AFTER ABOUT 1.5 MINUTES OF COASTING AND THEN GENTLY APPLYING ACCELERATOR TO REGAIN VEHICLE CONTROL. DURING THE RECOVERY TIME THE ENGINE RUNS VERY ROUGH AS IF TIMING WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF SYNC.I DRIVE 1000 MILES PER WEEK ON INTERSTATE 95 AND THIS CONDITION IS ONGOING. I EXPERIENCE AT LEAST 2 OR 3 OF THESE EPISODES PER WEEK WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN TO ME BECAUSE THE VEHICLE LOOSES POWER COMPLETELY AND DOES NOT RECOVER UNTIL 1.5 MINUTES LATER. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON VERY TIME THIS CONDITION OCCURS. WHEN READING THE ERROR CODES IT ONLY SHOW MISFIRING OF ALL CYLINDERS (CODE P0300).
