TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE TRANSMISSION WOULD ERRONEOUSLY DOWNSHIFT CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ABRUPTLY REDUCE SPEED. THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS CAUSING THE DRIVER TO NEARLY LOOSE CONTROL AND CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER LITHIA FORD OF MISSOURI LOCATED AT 3943 BROOKS ST, MISSOURI, MT 59804 WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE PCM WAS NOT PROPERLY COMMUNICATING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURES BEGAN AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V075000 (POWER TRAIN) AND THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
WHILE DRIVING MY FORD F-150 ON 12-11-2020 GOING ABOUT 40 - 50 MPH MY TRUCK SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTED FROM 6TH GEAR WHILE DRIVING DOWN TO FIRST GEAR. THIS CAUSED MY TRUCK TO GO INTO A TIRE SQUEALING SKID. I WAS LUCKY NO ONE WAS AROUND ME. ONCE I GOT CONTROL AND THE TRUCK SLOWED IT STILL WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR. I PULLED OVER AND WAITED A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. ONCE I TURNED IT BACK ON EVERYTHING SEEMED NORMAL I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO MY HOME A COUPLE OF BLOCKS AWAY WITH NO PROBLEMS. THERE I LET THE CAR SIT OVER THE WEEKEND NOT DRIVING IT AGAIN UNTIL I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 12-14-2020. EARLIER THAT YEAR ON 6-25-2020 I TOOK MY TRUCK INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO DO THE SOFTWARE UPDATE WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO ELIMINATE THE SUDDEN DOWNSHIFTING IN THE 6-SPEED TRANSMISSION THAT I HAVE. FROM WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED APPARENTLY THE FIX DID NOT WORK. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CLAIMED THAT THE FIX SHOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THE PROBLEM AND IT HAD TO BE SOMETHING ELSE. THEY ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I HAVE ALSO CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHICH SAID THEY COULD DO NOTHING ELSE UNLESS FORD FURTHER OPENS RECALLS AGAIN FOR THIS VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD ALL I COULD DO IS KEEP THE RECEIPTS FOR THE LABOR AND REPAIRS AND HOPE THAT MAYBE I CAN GET REIMBURSED IN THE FUTURE IF THE RECALL IS OPENED AGAIN. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE WHICH CAN ALSO BE LIFE-THREATENING FORD NEEDS TO DO WHAT'S RIGHT AND REPAIR THESE VEHICLES PROPERLY INSTEAD OF GOING THE CHEAP ROUTE AND TRYING A SOFTWARE FIX WHICH ONLY MASKS THE PROBLEM TEMPORARILY. I AM CURRENTLY WITHOUT ANY WAY TO AND FROM WORK AT THIS TIME DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE A LOANER VEHICLE FOR MY PROBLEMS.
GOING IN MOTION ON THE TURNPIKE AT 70MPH MY TRUCK DOWN SHIFTED TO 2ND GEAR. AFTER THAT THE WRENCH AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON THE DASHBOARD. THE MILEAGE ERASED AND THE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. AT A STATIONARY RED LIGHT MY TRUCK WOULD SHOW I WAS ON 3RD GEAR. FORTUNATE FOR ME I WAS BY MYSELF WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED BUT I COULD'VE BEEN WITH MY FAMILY AND NOW I'M SCARED TO DRIVE MY TRUCK AND EVEN MORE SCARED TO BRING HE FAMILY WITH ME ON MY TRUCK. THAT IS THE NEWEST CAR IN MY HOUSE AND WOULD THINK IT WOULD BE THE MOST DEPENDABLE BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT'S NOT AND I CAN'T EVEN AFFORD TO BUY ANOTHER CAR BECAUSE I WAS AFFECTED BY THIS PANDEMIC. IF I CAN SELL THE CAR BACK TO THE BANK IT WOULD BE GREAT BECAUSE I DON'T EVEN FEELS SAFE BRINGING THIS CAR AS THE FAMILY TRUCK.
MY HUSBAND AND I BOUGHT THE 2013 F150 PLATINUM ON OCT. 17TH 2020 WITH 96,726 MILES ON IT. AT 97,400 MILES, WE HAVE PUT LESS THEN 700 MILES ON THE USED VEHICLE WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN ON DEC. 4TH 2020 OUR WINDOW SHATTTERED. MY HUSBAND PARKED THE TRUCK IN THE DRIVE NEXT TO THE HOUSE AS WE HAVE ALWAYS DONE WITH ALL OUR VEHICLES. MY HUSBAND WAS HEADING OUT FOR WORK ON DEC 4TH 2020 WHEN HE HEARD WHAT SEEMED LIKE A GUN SHOT GOING OFF. HE HAD USED THE AUTO START ON THE TRUCK AND WENT OUT ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES LATER TO PLACE HIS LUNCH BAG AND COFFEE THERMOS IN THE REAR FLOORBOARD OF THE TRUCK LIKE HE DOES EVERY MORNING. HE CLOSED THE DOOR AND STARTED TO WALK TOWARDS THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY TO CHECK THE MAIL FROM THE PREVIOUS DAY SINCE IT HAD NOT BEEN CHECKED. WHEN HE CLOSED THE DOOR AND GOT TO THE REAR OF THE TRUCK HE HEARD THE LOUD BANG ( GUN SHOT SOUND), THINKING IT WAS A GUN SHOT HE WALKED BACK TO THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK AND AROUND IT LOOKING FOR ANY INDICATION OF A GUN SHOT OR A PERSON WITH A GUN.HIS MILITARY TRAINING KICKED IN... UPON INVESTIGATING HE FOUND NOTHING THAT SEEMED OUT OF THE NORM SO HECONTIUED DOWN THE DRIVE, CHECKED THE MAIL AND GOT BACK TO THE TRUCK TO GO TO WORK. DRIVING TO WORK HE SEEN ON THE BACK WINDOW WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS ICE. HE TURNED THE REAR DEFROST ON WAITING FOR IT TO MELT OFF AND THOUGHT NOTHING MORE OF IT. THAT AFTERNOON AFTER WORK HE HAD REALIZED THE ICE LOOK WAS STILL THERE. WHEN HE GOT HOME HE LOOKED AT THE WINDOW CLOSER. COME TO FIND OUT IT WAS THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW THAT HAD MADE THE LOUD SOUND. THE WINDOW HAD SHATTERED FOR NO REAL REASON. THE WINDOW IS A HAZARD AS IT COULD OF FELL OUT WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD AND REPORTED THE ISSUE. WAITING ON A RETURN CALL AS TO IF THEY ARE GOING TO REPLACE THE WINDOW UNDER WARRANTY OR NOT. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL REPORTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE OTHER PLACES ONLINE.
BRAKE FLUID LEAKING INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER, AUDIBLE CHIME, MESSAGE CENTER ALERT, BRAKE WARNING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THIS HAPPENED WHEN WE WERE BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT.
TRUCK DOWNSHIFTS TO FIRST GEAR UNPREDICTABLY AT ANY SPEED.
3RD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, PRESSED GAS PEDAL TO ACCELERATE ONTO HIGHWAY. GAS PEDAL WAS STUCK IN DOWN POSITION WITH ENGINE REVVING. HELD BRAKE TO SLOW IT DOWN, PICKED RIGHT BACK UP WHEN LET OFF. NO FLOOR MATS WHERE NEAR THE PEDAL, AND TAPPING THE BRAKE DIDN'T DISENGAGE IT. WAS STUCK FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AT DANGEROUS SPEEDS
TRANSMISSION DOWN SHIFTED HARD THE TRUCK ALMOST COMPLETELY STOPPED IN THE ROAD AND THE SPEED ODOMETER STOPPED WORKING AND THE REPAIR WRENCH CAME ON AND WENT OFF. I HAD TO STOP AND TURN THE TRUCK OFF TO FIX THE SPEED ODOMETER. IT DID IT TWICE MORE ON THE WAY HOME. SOFT WARE UPDATE HAS ALREADY BEEN PERFORMED.THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL.
THE TRUCK SHIFTS BY ITSELF INTO OTHER GEARS AT A STOP. IT ALSO SHIFTS BY ITSELF INTO FIRST GEAR WHEN I AM GOING 25-35 MPH.
MONKEY WRENCH COMES ON ALL GAUGES FAIL AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON DROPS TO 5TH GEAR IN THE PAST YEAR RECENTLY SAME THING HAPPENING BUT IT DOWN SHIFTS UNEXPECTEDLY AND IN 2ND AND 3RD GEARING IT'S AT 5K-6K RPMS
WHILE DRIVING THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND THE SPEEDOMETER, ODOMETER, FUEL ECONOMY, ECT. ON THE DASHBOARD QUIT WORKING AND THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT LIT UP. WHEN I TURNED THE KEY OFF AND RESTARTED IT, IT WENT AWAY. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES.
THE 3 PIECE REAR WINDOW EXPLODED WITH NO PROVOCATION. MY WIFE AND I ENTERED THE TRUCK CLOSED THE DOORS AND A FEW SECONDS LATER HEARD A LOUD POP! ON FURTHER INVESTIGATION ONE OF THE PANES IN THE THREE PIECE WINDOW HAD COMPLETELY SHATTERED. THE REAR DEFROST HAD NOT BEEN TURNED ON. THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 32 F.
PULLING CAMPER ONTO INTERSTATE, ACCELERATED TO MERGE. TRUCK SHOOK, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TRUCK BARELY MADE IT SAFELY TO THE NEXT EXIT. PEPBOYS REPLACED #2 COIL. MADE IT THE REST OF THE TRIP. UNABLE TO TOW CAMPER OR ACCELERATE NORMALLY, AS TRUCK SHUDDERS AND SLOWS SIGNIFICANTLY IN RESIDENTIAL AND INTERSTATE SPEEDS. ECOBOOST SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR MODEL TRUCK AND ENGINE, SO I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO FORD. I'VE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AROUND 66,000..
The contact owns a 2013 Ford f-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission independently downshifted and the check engine warning light illuminated. In addition, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a transmission molded lead frame failure. The contact was informed that the transmission lead frame needed to be replaced. The vehicle was being repaired. In addition, the contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring intermittently. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer several times due to the failure; however, the failure could not be duplicated because the check engine warning light failed to remain illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not assist. The contact was informed that Customer Satisfaction Program: 19N01; had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

THE BRAKES BECAME HARD OUT OF NOWHERE AND WOULDNT STOP WHILE I WAS DRIVING, AT NIGHT! I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S A VACUUM ISSUE OR WHAT IT IS. VERY DANGEROUS!

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED FROM 4TH GEAR TO 1ST GEAR INDEPENDENTLY, WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SLID INTO A DITCH. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TED RUSSELL FORD LINCOLN (8551 KINGSTON PIKE, KNOXVILLE, TN 37919) HOWEVER, THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 197,000.

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED WITH THE POWER STEERING ASSISTANCE FAULT AND ADVANCED TRACK WARNING MESSAGES DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE SAME FAILURE RECURRED LESS THAN TWO MILES LATER. THE CONTACT DROVE TO HIS DESTINATION AND CALLED CROWN FORD (256 SWAIN ST, FAYETTEVILLE, NC 28303, (910) 600-6598) WHERE AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 136,000.
When starting off transmission will not shift out of first gear. Speedometer remains at zero. Only way to fix the problem is to pull off the road and restart the vehicle. Sometimes the wrench icon appears on the dashboard. This problem began at approximately 70,000 miles on the odometer. Vehicle was taken in for repair and the speed sensor was replaced. This did not correct the problem.
THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER STOPPED WORKING (WINTER). IN RESEARCHING THE PROBABLE CAUSE OF THE REAR DEFROSTER ISSUE WE FOUND OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS THERE HAVE BEEN COUNTLESS STORIES & POSTS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY DETAILING SPECIFICALLY THE ISSUE WE WERE EXPERIENCING WITH THE DEFROSTER AND REALIZING THIS WAS A KNOW ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. THERE WERE COUNTLESS STORIES, MANY HARROWING ACCOUNTS OF BROKEN REAR WINDOWS DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE ENGINEERING TO REPAIR AS WELL AS WAY TOO MANY STORIES WITH CUSTOMERS HAVING TO DEAL WITH LOCAL AND NATIONAL FORD REPRESENTATIVES TO TRY TO ADDRESS THE OBVIOUS ENGINEERING ISSUE. WHILE I MAY AGREE THIS MAY BE A PERSONAL OBSERVATION, THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY OCCURRENCES OF THIS PROBLEM OCCURRING ACROSS MULTIPLE MODEL YEARS FOR FORD LEADERSHIP TO NOT BE CONCERNED WITH THIS ISSUE AND DOING SOMETHING TO FACILITATE THE CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TO ADDRESS THE DEFECT.
THE TRUCK WILL SUDDENLY DOWN SHIFT WHILE DRIVING. THE IS AFTER COMPLETION OF THE RECALL IN 2019. THREE TIMES THE TRUCK HAS SKIPPED GEARS ON BREAKING. ONCE WHILE BREAKING TO MAKE A TURN CAUSING THE TRUCK TO ALMOST STALL. ONCE GOING DOWN A DIRT HILL CAUSING THE BACK WHEELS TO LOCK UP AND SLIDE. DIDN'T CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. ONCE AFTER GOING OVER A SPEED BUMP CAUSING THE TRUCK TO JERK SUDDENLY AND MADE THE DRIVER THINK THEY HIT SOMETHING.
MY VEHICLE RECENTLY DIED ON THE INCLINE OF A BRIDGE WITH NO SHOULDER PUTTING ME IN A VERY DANGEROUS POSITION. IT TURNS OUT THAT FUSE 27 IN MY VEHICLES FUSE BOX MELTED, NOT BLOWN, BUT PHYSICALLY MELTED DISABLING THE FUEL PUMP. TSB 15-0137 ADDRESSES THIS ISSUE BIT I BELIEVE IY SHOULD BE ELEVATED TO A RECALL.
STARTED THE TRUCK AT 6:40AM WITH THE REMOTE START, WENT OUTSIDE TO GET INTO THE TRUCK, PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION TO DRIVE BUT TRUCK WAS STILL IN PARK. ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE WAS A LOUD BANG AND THE BACK WINDOW WAS SHATTERED/SPIDERWEBBED. SMELT LIKE BURNING WIRES ALSO.

GOING DOWN THE ROAD, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE STEERING GOT STIFF AND SEEMED TO LOCKUP. THE NEXT TIME I STARTED MY TRUCK, THE ADVANCE TRACK AND HILL ASSIST WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON, AND THE TURN SIGNAL WILL NOT STAY ON UNLESS IT IS HELD DOWN. I HAVE QUITE DRIVING THE TRUCK UNTIL IT IS FIXED. IT IS HARD TO MAINTAIN LANE CONTROL.
LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER TSB 19S07 WAS PERFORMED ON MY TRUCK, I WAS ENTERING THE FREEWAY WHEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AIRBAG LIGHT BOTH TURNED ON. SPEEDOMETER SHUT OFF, READ 0, SAME WITH ODOMETER. VEHICLE REFUSED TO SHIFT BELOW 3RD GEAR. I THEN HAD TO DRIVE THROUGH A MERGE LIGHT TO ENTER FREEWAY AND START FROM 3RD GEAR. I HAD TO DRIVE THE 3 MILES OR SO BACK HOME LIKE THIS. TRUCK HAD NO ISSUES PRIOR TO THE RECALL BEING DONE.
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE: OIL/FILTER CHANGE, MULTI POINT INSPECTION, TIRE ROTATION. LUG NUTS WERE SWOLLEN AND CRACKED CREATING POTENTIAL SAFETY PROBLEM. SWELLING DUE TO BIMETALLIC SEPARATION OF THE LUG NUTS. LUG NUTS WERE REPLACED AT A COST OF ABOUT $200.
VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING RANDOM "POWER STEERING ASSIST" FAULTS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE POWER STEERING IS LOST ON THE VEHICLE. I HAVE RESEARCHED WHERE FORD HAS RECALLED SEVERAL TRUCKS IN THE SAME YEAR-MODEL RANGE AS THIS VEHICLE FOR THE SAME REASON DUE TO FAULTY PART. IS IT POSSIBLE THEY SIMPLY MISSED THIS VEHICLE OR DOES THE RECALL NEED TO BE EXTENDED TO COVER THIS VEHICLE AS WELL?

THE VEHICLE COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. THE TACHOMETER REMAINED OPERABLE WITH SEVERAL OTHER INSTRUMENT PANEL FEATURES INOPERABLE. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT USED AN OBD SCANNER AND RETRIEVED FAULT CODE: P0721 (OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR RANGE/PERFORMANCE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 191,000.
TOOK MY VEHICLE TO FORD DEALERSHIP AS I WAS HAVING 3 WARNING LIGHTS COME ON & WHEN I TURNED THE WHEEL IT MADE A LOUD NOISE. THEY TOOK IT FOR A TEST DRIVE & WHEN THEY RETURNED THE STEERING LOCKED UP & ALMOST CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO HIT A BUILDING. THE STEERING LOCKED UP WHICH CAUSED YOU TO NOT BE ABLE TO STEER. IF THIS WOULD OF HAPPENED WHEN I WAS TAKING MY SON TO TOWN WE WOULD OF WRECKED THE TRUCK. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT MY VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE & THEY SAID I CAN'T DRIVE IT.

TIMING CHAIN STRETCHED CAUSING VEHICLE TO FAIL WHILE ACCELERATING DURING HIGHWAY ENTERANCE
BRAKE FLUID LEAKED FROM THE BRAKE MASTERCYLINDER INTO THE BRAKE POWER BOOSTER. ONCE THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN THE MASTERCYLINDER REACHED A HIGH ENOUGH LEVEL, BRAKE FLUID WAS SUCKED THROUGH THE VACUUM LINES INTO THE INTAKE AND INTO THE ENGINE, WHERE PRESUMABLY IT FILLED UP THE CYLINDERS. THIS OCCURRED BOTH WHILE IN MOTION AND STATIONARY, I SUSPECT IT ONLY OCCURRED WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING AND A VACUUM WAS ON THE VACUUM LINES.
OIL PRESSURE LOW, IT'S CAME SOMETIMES SINCE 3000KM UNTIL NOW I HAVE 190000KM ITS CAME 7 TIMES, AND WHEN IT'S HAPPENED THE TRUCK SWITCHING OFF AND THE DENGROUS THING WHEN THE STEERING LOCK OMG SPECIFICALLY ON THE HIGHWAY OR CORNERS
HAD RECALL FIX COMPLETED APPROX. MARCH 2019 BY FORD DEALERSHIP ON 2013 F-150, BUT WHILE IN MOTION, TRANSMISSION STILL SLIPS GEARS OFTEN, AS WELL AS, DELAYED SHIFTING OF GEAR.
BRAKE FLUID FILLED THE BOOSTER AND RUINED MASTER CYLINDER.

THE DRIVER PULLED OVER, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, AND CONTINUED TO DRIVE TO HER DESTINATION. THE CONTACT CALLED BIRD KULTGEN FORD LOCATED AT 1701 W LOOP 340, WACO, TX 76712, (254) 666-2473, TO NOTIFY THE DEALER OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V433000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 92,500.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS BROKEN AND WARPED MANIFOLD.
LWITH OUT WARNING BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR, LOST ALL BRAKING APPROACHING AN IINTERSECTION. WAS ABLE TO TURN CORNER & MAKE IT TO MY DRIVEWAY WITH OUT ANY BRAKES.
Both exhaust manifolds are warped and leaking exhaust. This is causing poor emissions, reduced mileage/gallon, chirping noise from the exhaust leaking, and check engine lights indication O2 sensor faults.
ENGINE KNOCKING ON STARTUP. THE KNOCK IS MORE EASILY HEARD FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE KNOCKING IS THE MOST NOTICEABLE FOR THE FIRST 30 SECONDS OF STARTUP. THIS OCCURS EVERY DAY. THE AMOUNT OF KNOCKING FOLLOWS AN INCREASE IN ENGINE RPM. ONE OCCASION I WAS DRIVING 65 ON THE FREEWAY, THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT STARTED VIOLENTLY SHAKING. THE CAR LOST ACCELERATION AND FLASHED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THIS WAS THE START OF THE ENGINE KNOCK.09
VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED WHILE COMING BACK FROM WORK, SPEEDOMETER SHUT ITSELF OFF AND A WRENCH ICON SHOWED ON THE DASHBOARD
THE STEERING WOULDN'T MOVE AND NONE OF THE TURNING SIGNALS WORK.
I believe the power train is defaulting. It is available for someone to look at if they come to us, as it is not drivable. The safety of my family and other drivers on the road is at high risk, as the truck shuts off while driving at any given moment without warning. The problem has been ongoing ever since we had the transmission software recall issue, "fixed." We have taken the truck back to the Ford manufacturer, Airport Ford in Florence, Kentucky, twice, with no help of getting the issue resolved. The wrench light came on before the problem started. We looked into that by taking it to Airport Ford in florence Kentucky. The issue is still ongoing and we are currently no longer driving the vehicle as it will no longer stay running. This has been going on since we had the truck fixed due to a recall notice we received in 2019 or 2020. I would love to keep the truck and have the issue resolved as it is the only vehicle we own.
ON 8/29/2020 I WAS DRIVING MY 2013 FORD F-150 AND I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN IN A INTERSECTION AND RIGHT WHEN I WAS TURNING MY STEERING WHEEL IT FROZE UP AND BECAME EXTREMELY HARD TO TURN. I HAD TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES AND PULL THE WHEEL TO THE LEFT WITH ALL MY MIGHT AND ALMOST WENT OVER THE CURB. LUCKILY I WAS DOWN THE STREET FROM MY HOME SO I MANAGED TO TO SLOWLY TAKE DRIVE TRUCK BACK HOME. AFTER GOING ONLINE AND RESEARCHING THE STEERING PROBLEM I FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THERE 2013 FORD F-150'S. EVEN OTHER YEARS OF FORD F-150 HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS ALSO. THE 2014 F-150 HAVE A RECALL ON THERE STEERING SYSTEMS. FORD HAS NOT TO THIS DAY ISSUED A RECALL YET FOR THE 2013 FORD F-150 BUT IT HAS RECALLS FOR FUSIONS AND OTHER 2013 FORD MODELS. THIS IS VERY DISCONCERTING TO ME BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY ISSUE. LUCKILY I WASN'T GOING 75 ON THE FREEWAY AROUND A CURVE WHEN THIS HAPPENED OR THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A CATASTROPHE. SHAME ON FORD FOR PUTTING FAULTY STEERING SYSTEMS IN THESE VEHICLES AND NOT ISSUING A RECALL STILL. I HAD TO PAY $2,000 TO GET THE RACK AND PINION REPLACED AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY MAKE ME PAY FOR THERE FAULTY PART. I DO NOT FEELS SAFE DRIVING THIS TRUCK ANYMORE AND I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER FORD PRODUCT IN THE FUTURE.
