USED REMOTE START TO WARM VEHICLE AND THE 1/3 OF THE REAR GLASS (THE DRIVER'S SIDE) EXPLODED AND SPIDERED. RESEARCH SHOWS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND LIKELY DUE TO FAULTY DEFROSTER. FORD DOESN'T PART OUT THE GLASS SO THE ENTIRE REAR WINDOW NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF OVER $650. MY VEHICLE IS GARAGED WHEN AT HOME AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY 51400 MILES. SINCE IT IS OVER 36000 MILES, FORD WON'T DO ANYTHING OR ASSIST WITH COSTS.
BRAKE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM AND IT IS LOSING PRESSURE. I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 10 MILES PER HOUR WHEN I PUSH THE BRAKE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE PEDAL WHEN ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR..
THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED WHEN I TURNED ON THE DEFROSTER.
I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH WHEN MY TRUCK SUDDENLY SURGED AS IF I HAD HIT SOMETHING AND A FAINT SQUEAL OF THE REAR TIRES. THEN AS SUDDEN AT IT HAPPENED THE TRUCK BEGAN TO ROLL SMOOTHLY AGAIN. A WRENCH APPEARED ON THE DASH SCREEN WITH A STATEMENT THAT SAID "MAINTENANCE REQUIRED". THE AIRBAG INDICATION ILLUMINATED. ONCE THE WRENCH SYMBOL AND "MAINTENANCE REQUIRED" STATEMENT DISAPPEARED THE REGULAR SCREEN CAME BACK THAT SHOWED THE MILEAGE AND THE AMOUNT OF MILES UNTIL EMPTY, EXCEPT THE NUMBERS WERE ALL DASHES. ALSO THE SPEEDOMETER WAS SHOWING THAT I WAS GOING 0 MPH WHEN I WAS CLEARLY MOVING AROUND 45 MPH. I TRIED TO ACCELERATE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE NO MATTER HOW MUCH THROTTLE I GAVE IT. I NOTICED THE TRUCK WAS STUCK IN 5TH GEAR. I TRIED TO MANUALLY SHIFT THE GEARS AND WHEN I PRESSED THE + AND - BUTTONS ON THE GEAR SHIFTER THE NUMBER "5" ON THE DASH WOULD FLASH AND NOT CHANGE GEARS. I COULD NOT SEEM TO GET THE TRUCK OVER 2300 RPM. I TOOK A PHOTO OF THE DISPLAY SHOWING THE DASHES AND 0 MPH. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE INSTRUMENTAL PANEL CAUGHT ON FIRE AND FLAMES EMITTED THROUGH THE VENTS AND MELTED THE DASH BOARD ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AREA. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED THIRD DEGREE BURNS TO THE RIGHT HAND, THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SUSTAINED SMOKE INHALATION, AND THE REAR PASSENGER SUFFERED EMOTIONAL STRESS THAT ALL REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS PRESENT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. 3.5 V6 ECOBOOST FIRE. COMPLETELY BURNED MY TRUCK TO THE GROUND WITH MY FAMILY DRIVING IN, WIFE AND 5 YR OLD. PASSENGER SUFFERED 3RD DEGREE BURNS, 12/10/2016. TRUCK WAS IN MOTION, WE SMELT SMOKE AND WITHIN 2 MINUTES THE TRUCK WAS COMPLETELY ENGULFED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED NORMALLY AND SUDDENLY STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A FUSE MELTED INSIDE THE FUSE BOX. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,564.
TWO DAYS AFTER PURCHASING THIS TWO YEAR OLD USED LIMITED EDITION F150 THE POWER BRAKE ASSIST FAILED; WEATHER CONDITION WAS RAIN. RETURNED IT TO DEALERSHIP WHO DID NOTHING AS THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE PURCHASING THE TRUCK, AND REPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND IS A MAJOR CONCERN TO ME AS I TOW A 26' TRAVEL TRAILER WITH IT. RATE OF SPEED WHEN APPLYING BRAKES WAS @15MPH OR LESS, AND EACH TIME THE ROADS WERE WET. CALLED FORD TODAY AND ESTABLISHED CASE # CAS-11141043 FOR THIS REPEAT CONDITION AFTER DEALERSHIP SAID THERE WERE NO RECALLS OR TSBS AND THAT IT WAS UNCERTAIN IF IT'S UNDER WARRANTY. TODAY WAS THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT AND THE TRUCK IS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP NOW.
WAS HEADING TO WORK AROUND 750 A.M. AND HEARD A LOUD POP, LIKE A ROCK HITTING A WINDOW. I CHECKED ALL MY WINDOWS AND NOTICED MY BACK DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS BUSTED. AT THE TIME, I HAD MY REAR DEFROSTER ON. I DID NOT HIT A POTHOLE PRIOR OR DURING THE EVENT. I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 60 M.P.H.
TODAY WHILE DRIVING MY 2013 FORD F150 AT 30MPH ON A COUNTY ROAD, A WARNING POPPED UP THAT SAID "HILL DESCENT CONTROL FAULT" AS THE POWER STEERING FAILED. LUCKILY I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT AHEAD AT A SLOWED RATE OF SPEED. AFTER THIS I COULD BARELY TURN THE STEERING WHEEL MAKING FOR VERY UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS. ALSO THE TURN SIGNALS QUIT WORKING SHORTLY AFTERWARDS. THE VEHICLE HAS ABOUT 50,000 MILES ON IT, AND LOOKING AROUND ON THE INTERNET WOULD LEAD ME TO ASSUME THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM THAT IS A DEFINITE SAFETY CONCERN FOR ANY IN OR AROUND ONE OF THESE VEHICLES. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE NEXT MODEL YEAR OF THIS VEHICLE RECEIVED A RECALL ON THIS VERY PROBLEM. MY WIFE ALSO DRIVES A 2013 F150 AND I'M AFRAID TO LET HER DRIVE IT ANYMORE, IT TOOK ALL I COULD DO TO STEER IT, I CAN'T IMAGINE SHE'LL BE ABLE TO DO THE SAME WHEN HERS FAILS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE MANUFACTURER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATING ELEMENT FAILED AND THE WINDOW NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000. UPDATED 01/31/17*CT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED AND THERE WAS NO PEDAL MOVEMENT AT ALL. THE CONTACT HAD TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO MANUAL IN ORDER TO SLOW DOWN. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER, BUT THE DIAGNOSIS WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
REAR DOORS WILL SOMETIMES LOCK AND CAN'T OPEN THEM FROM INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE,( EVEN MANUALLY) THEN AT RANDOM THEY WILL START TO WORK AGAIN. WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH OUR 2014 FORD EXPLORER. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, AS HAVING CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS AND NOT BEING ABLE TO GET THEM OUT. *TR
A CRITICAL 20 AMP FUSE THAT GIVES POWER TO THE FUEL RELAY WHICH POWERS THE FUEL PUMP BLEW RENDERING MY VEHICLE IN OPERABLE. IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY. THEY HAVE A TSB ALSO KNOWN AS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 15'0137. THIS "FIX" MERELY RELOCATES THE FUSE SO THAT THE KNOWN POTENTIAL FOR FAILURE DOES NOT MELT THE FUSE HOUSING. THIS DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF WHY THE FUSE IS BLOWING. THIS SERVICE IS ALSO NOT COVERED; AS THE DEALER EXPECTS ME TO PAY FOR THE FIX. THE FUSE HOUSING ON MY TRUCK IS MELTED AND CHARD FROM THE FAILED FUSE . TO ME THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BOTH FOR THE POTENTIAL OF FIRE AND LOSING PROPULSION DUE TO THE CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OF FUEL TO THE ENGINE .
WHEN STARTING FROM A STOP, AFTER TRANSMISSION SHIFTS INTO 1ST GEAR, GOING TO 2ND GEAR, TRANSMISSION WILL DISENGAGE INTO NEUTRAL AND ENGINE WILL CONTINUE TO REV. AFTER 3-5 SECONDS, TRANSMISSION WILL REENGAGE AND SHIFT THRU THE GEARS TO TOP GEAR. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHILE VEHICLE IS IN FORWARD MOTION AND ONLY ON AN INTERMITANT BASIS, EG, NOT ALL THE TIME. ALSO, SOMETIMES WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE SPEEDOMETER WILL DROP TO ZERO FOR 1-2 SECONDS AND THEN BACK TO THE PRESENT SPEED. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THAT SOMETIMES WHILE TRAVELING FORWARD, THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY ACT LIKE IT WANTS TO LOCK UP AS THOUGH IT WAS PLACED INTO PARK. I HAVE ALSO COME TO A STOP AND WHEN TRYING TO START TO MOVE FORWARD, THE TRANSMISSION GEAR INDICATOR SAYS THAT IT DID NOT DOWNSHIFT TO 1ST GEAR, BUT TRIED TO START OUT IN 4TH GEAR. AFTER STOPPING AND RESTARTING TO MOVE FORWARD, IT WOULD FINALLY DOWNSHIFT TO 1ST GEAR. SOMETIMES, THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR UNTIL THE VEHICLE HAS REACHED 20-30 MPH AND THEN IT WILL GO FROM 1ST GEAR TO 4TH THEN FINALLY THRU TO 6TH AND FINAL GEAR. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT GET THE VEHICLE TO DO THESE THINGS. THEY DID TELL ME THAT FORD HAD RECALLED 2011 AND 2012 MODEL F150'S FOR A SIMILAR PROBLEM. THEY REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER IN HOPES THAT IT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM, IT DID NOT. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE LEADFRAME VALVE BODY MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED OR REBUILT TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I AM AFFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE VERY FAR, FEARING A POSSIBLE BREAKDOWN ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE SCHEDULED ANOTHER VISIT WITH A FORD DEALER TO POSSIBLY HAVE THIS REBUILD DONE. THE VEHICLE HAS 86,000 MILES ON IT AND THEY ESTIMATE A SUBSTANTIAL COST INVOLVED TO DO THIS. DO YOU KNOW IF THERE IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND IS THERE A RECALL FOR THIS ?
MY 2013 FORD F-150 RAPTOR HAS HAD TWO COMPLETE BURNED UP MASTER FUSE BOXES OCCUR ON MY TRUCK. THE ORIGINAL ONE BURNED OUT AND MELTED AT 36K MILES ABOUT A YEAR AGO. FORD COVERED IT UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. THIS SECOND ONE HAS JUST BURNED UP AT 80K. SAME EXACT THING. THERE IS A SERIOUS DEFECT ON THIS VEHICLE. THIS IS ALSO AN ISSUE WITH MANY 2013 MODEL FORD RAPTOR F-150. ACCORING TO ONLINE REPORTS AND VARIOUS DEALER COMMENTS. FOR SAFETY PURPOSES THIS IS A SEVERE ENOUGH AND CONTINUAL ISSUE THAT A RECALL NEEDS TO BE MADE. FOUR PEOPLE I KNOW WHO HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK BETWEEN 2011-2013 HAVE ALL HAD THE SAME ISSUE. VEHICLE WILL NOT START OR OPERATE WHEN THIS ISSUE OCCURS IT'S ABNORMAL TO HAVE SUCH AND ISSUE WITH A SAFETY RISK AND THE POTENTIAL OF THE VEHICLE CATCHING FIRE. IT HAPPENS SO OFTEN APPARENTLY THERE IS A MAJOR BACK ORDER ON THE FUSE BOX REPLACEMENT. LAST TIME I WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE 6MONTHS TO GET THE PART.
TURNED ON DEFROSTER THIS MORNING, DRIVERS SIDE REAR GLASS SHATTERED 5 MINUTES LATER. TRAVELING AT 65 MPH, EXPRESSWAY,LIGHT TRAFFIC AND NO OUTSIDE INFLUENCE. FIRST THOUGHT ,AFTER A LOUD POP, WAS THAT MY TRUCK HAD BEEN SHOT AT.

WHILE REVERSING FROM A PARKING SPACE OR DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE SERVICE ADVANCETRAC, POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT, AND LOW BATTERY FEATURE TEMPORARILY TURNED OFF WARNING INDICATORS AND ERROR MESSAGES ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED ON TEN SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THE ERROR CODES NEEDED TO BE CLEARED. THE CODES WERE CLEARED AND RESET, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC STEERING GEAR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000.
JUST OVER 26K MILES AND FOR LAST MONTH WHEN STARTING MY CAR IN THE MORNING IT SHOWS POWER STEERING FAULT ON MY DASH. SEEMS ONCE ILET IT WARM FOR 10MINS OR SO AND RESTART THE CAR IT WORKS AGAIN.
THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS ARE GOING OUT, IT IS CALLED THE SPINDLE PART OF THE HUB, MAKES LOUD VIBRATION SOUNDS AND CAN BE FELT AND HEARD THROUGHOUT THE CAR AT LOWER SPEEDS. SOUNDS OF RUBBING OR GRINDING WITH LOW MILES AND JUST PURCHASED USED FROM DEALER WEEKS AGO.
STARTED TRUCK WITH REMOTE(FOB), YESTERDAY MORNING. I NEEDED TO DEFROST MY WINDOWS AS WELL. ON MY WAY TO WORK,TWENTY MINUTES LATER, I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUN BLAST. I THOUGHT SOMEONE HAD SHOT MY TRUCK OR THREW A ROCK. I LOOKED IN MY REARVIEW WINDOW AND THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS SHATTERED. I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT AND NO SIGNS OF IMPACT BY A FOREIGN OBJECT. THE WINDOW WAS COMPLETELY SHATTERED. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS, I SEE THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A DEFECTIVE DEFROSTER CONTRIBUTING TO SPONTANEOUS SHATTERING OF REAR WINDOWS ON THE F150. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY'RE GIVING ME "I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS" I'M NOT BUYING IT. ALSO, IF THIS HAD HAPPENED TODAY, MY SMALL CHILD WOULD HAVE BEEN SITTING RIGHT THERE. THIS IS NOT OKAY AND FORD SHOULD REPAIR THESE FOR CUSTOMERS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE WRENCH WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE SPEED DECREASED. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 41,770.
THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY FAILED AT 40,000 MILES WHILE DRIVING THE CAR IN TRAFFIC. I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE SPEED, AS THE GAS PEDAL DID NOT RESPOND, AND THE CAR SLOWED TO ABOUT 5 MPH. I MANAGED TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC WITHOUT A COLLISION. I CHECKED ONLINE AND FOUND THIS IS A VERY COMMON COMPLAINT FOR FORD 3.5L ENGINES. MY TRUCK HAS THE 3.5L ECO-BOOST ENGINE. *TR
COOLING SYSTEM CONNECTIONS. FORD HAS PUT IN CLIPS ON HOSES THAT CONNECT TO OVERFLOW FOR COOLING SYSTEM AND ON A Y-CONNECTOR AT FRONT OF MOTOR THAT NOT ONLY LEAK ALL THE TIME BUT CAN JUST POP OFF AND CAUSE THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT. I AM CONSTANTLY HAVING TO KEEP BUCKETS UNDER MY TRUCK TO CATCH FLUID. FORD WANT AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY TO FIX AND BASED ON WHAT I HAVE READ IN FORUMS THE FIX MAY ONLY LAST A WEEK AND START LEAKING AGAIN. THIS HAPPENS ON THE 5.0V-8 ECONOBOOST.. DURING THE START UP OF MY 2013 FORD F-150, I PROCEEDED TO UTILIZE THE REAR DEFROSTER TO GET THE ICE OFF THE REAR WINDOW. THE REAR WINDOW IS COMPRISED OF 3 PANELS OF GLASS, ONE ON EACH SIDE AND THE SLIDING WINDOW IN THE CENTER. LAST WEEK, THE REAR DEFROSTER WORKED INTERMITTENTLY, AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS AT DEPRESSING THE BUTTON IT WOULD EVENTUALLY TURN ON, NOT A WEEK LATER IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. THINKING IT WAS POSSIBLY THE FUSE OR A PROBLEM WITH THE BUTTON ITSELF, I SEARCHED ONLINE TO FIND OUT IF THERE WAS SOMETHING I COULD DO, AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE AND REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE BACK GLASS AND THAT SOME HAD THIS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I CALLED THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND TALKED TO THE REPAIR DEPARTMENT AND WAS TOLD BY THE MANAGER THAT HE HAS THE SAME VEHICLE AND THE SAME PROBLEM AND THAT THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE REAR DEFROST TO WORK IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE BACK GLASS AND THAT THE COST IS AROUND $2200. SEARCHING ONLINE ON THE F150 FORUM BOARDS FINDS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THE FIX IS REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE BACKGLASS. BECAUSE MY VEHICLE HAS 50,000 MILES AND IS PAST THE 36,000 MILES OF THE WARRANTY IT IS NOT FORDS PROBLEM. AS THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE (VISIBILITY THROUGH BACK GLASS) I SEARCHED ON THE GOVERNMENTS RECALL WEBSITE HERE AND FOUND SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND THAT MANY HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED THE WINDOWING CRACKING, SPIDERING AND EXPLODING WHEN USING ' WHICH TELLS ME DO NOT TURN ON THE REAR DEFROST FOR FEAR OF A BROKEN WINDOW EXPLODING WHILE IM DRIVING. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS IT DISTORTS AND SKEWS MY VISION AND ABILITY TO SEE OUT OF IT SAFELY UNTIL I CAN ATTEMPT TO HAVE FORD RECTIFY THIS ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL. THE SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BUT THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS EJECTED OUT OF THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE BACK AND FACE, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. INTERMITTENT REAR DEFROSTER ON OCCASION. WHILE SITTING IN DRIVEWAY ATTEMPTING TO GET REAR DEFROSTER TO OPERATE THE BACK DRIVERS SIDE GLASS SHATTERED. SOUNDED LIKE A BULLET/ROCK HIT WINDOW BUT IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO DIRECTION OF WINDOW AS IT WAS FACING THE BACK OF THE GARAGE. SEEMED ODD BUT WHEN I INVESTIGATED THROUGH MY DEALERSHIP THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE HEARD OF THE REAR DEFROSTER CAUSING THIS BUT BECAUSE IT WAS GLASS AND NOT COVERED TO CONTACT FORD. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY ADVISED ME THAT NO RECORDS OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS WERE ON FILE AND THAT THERE WAS NO WAY TO PROVE THAT THE WINDOW WAS BROKEN BY THE DEFROSTER THUS IT WAS NOT COVERED BY MY WARRANTY OR EXTENDED WARRANTY. SINCE THIS IS A POWER THREE GLASS WINDOW WITH DEFROSTER IT WILL NEED FULL REPLACEMENT AT A COST OF OVER $1000 WITH NO GUARANTEE IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.

TOOK TRUCK TO ANOTHER PLACE FOR SECOND OPINION. THEY FIGURED OUT CALIPER PINS NOT LUBRICATED AND THAT IS WHY IT WAS LOCKING UP. HAD TO REPLACE ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS. DURING TEST, MASTER CYLINDER FAILED. HAVE TO REPLACE. DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY AND FIX PROBLEM. THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2013 FORD F150'S MASTER CYLINDER.

I WAS ALMOST HIT IN THE REAR SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL I COULD LIMP IT TO THE SHOULDER AND IF ANYONE KNOWS THE AREA I WAS ALMOST IN CHARLOTTE NC TRAFFIC IS TERRIBLE. ONCE I GATHERED MYSELF NOTICED THE SEATBELT LIGHT CAME ON ODOMETER SHOWED 2 DOTTED LINES WITH THE A WRENCH SIGN, ALSO TRIED TO TAKE OFF AGING LITTLE POWER SPEEDOMETER WAS NOT WORKING AND WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF 2ND GEAR. I STOPPED AND CUT THE TRUCK OFF AND WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND SEEM TO BE OKAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V248000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 64,000.
DRIVING HOME FROM A CAMPING TRIP WITH MY SON, I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AT THE SAME TIME THE "LOW BRAKE FLUID" WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. MY TRUCK DID NOT STOP, TO PREVENT AN ACCIDENT, I HAD TO SLOW MY TRUCK USING MY PARKING BRAKE, AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PROCEDURE. I ATTEMPTED TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL TO POSSIBLY GET MORE PRESSURE IN THE BRAKE LINES, BUT THAT DID NOT WORK. THE VEHICLE BECAME UN-DRIVEABLE AND HAD TO BE TOWED. I EXAMINED THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR AND SAW THERE WAS NO FLUID. THE FOLLOWING DAY, I HAD MY TRUCK TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THE FOLLOWING DAY AFTER THE SERVICE TECH EXAMINED IT, HE SAID THE BRAKE FLUID HAD LEAKED FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER TO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THE DEALER REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER. LUCKILY, I WAS NOT GOING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN THIS BRAKE FAILURE OCCURRED OR MY SON AND I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED.
WITHOUT WARNING BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR ABSOLUTELY NO BRAKES AND LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT CAME ON. HAD TO DRIVE INTO THE DITCH TO KEEP FROM HITTING ANOTHER CAR AND USED EMERGENCY BRAKE TO GUAN LILY STOP BEFORE HITTING A TREE. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR ANYTHING JUST ABSOLUTELY NO BRAKES. MASTER CYKINDER WAS EMPTY PUT 6 PINTS OF FLUID IN IT. THAT JUST DISAPPEARED. NO LEAKS ANY WHERE UNDER THE TRUCK. FORD RECALLED 271000 FOR THIS VERY ISSUE. BUT MINE IS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. WE WERE COMING HOME FROM FOOTBALL GAME IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AT MIDNIGHT. HAD TO CALL WRECKER TO GET US HOME.

IN ADDITION, ONCE THE VEHICLE RESTARTED, THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED TO WORK AND THE WRENCH WARNING SENSOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000.
I BOUGHT A NEW F-150 IN 2013. THE FRONT BRAKES BEGAN PULSATING WHEN APPLIED AT 50+ MPH. THE DEALERSHIP TURNED THE ROTORS, CHARGING @ $500. ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER WITH LESS THAN 10,000 ADDITIONAL MILES, SAME PROBLEM. DEALER SAID THIS IS NORMAL AND BRAKES WOULD HAVE TO BE REPAIRED ABOUT EVERY 10,000 MILES. RESEARCH SHOWS THIS PROBLEM TO BE PERVASIVE WITH THE F-150 BECAUSE OF INFERIOR MATERIAL USED IN THE ROTORS.
YESTERDAY BRAKE PEDAL STARTS TO PUSH TOWARD THE FLOORBOARD WHILE BRAKING. AFTER SITTING OVERNIGHT THE VEHICLE HAD NO BRAKES AND LOW BRAKE FLUID WARNING WAS ON. HAD TO HAVE TOWED TO DEALER.
FORD V6 ECO-BOOST ENGINE TURBO TEMP AND PRESSURE SENSOR FAILED WHICH CAN RESULT IN THE TURBO OVERHEATING AND POSSIBLE ENGINE FIRE.
BRAKE FLUID LEAKED FROM CASTER CYLINDER TO THE BRAKE BOOSTER CAUSING A SUDDEN AND ALMOST COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKING ABILITY. ALMOST CAUSED SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
DRIVING ON A CITY STREET THE TRUCK STARTED SHAKING AND LOSS ALL ACCELERATION, IT SHOWED A WRENCH ON THE DASH SCREEN, COASTED TO A SAFE PLACE AND TURNED TRUCK OFF. IT RESTARTED FINE. APPROX 30 MINS LATER ON THE HIGHWAY IT DID THE SAME THING, STARTED SHAKING, NO ACCELERATION AND THE WRENCH SHOWED UP. AGAIN COASTED TO A SAFE SPOT AND RESTARTED. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND THEY SAY NOTHING IS WRONG, BUT THAT IT COULD BE THE ETB BUT WITH OUT A CODE SHOWING THEY CANT DO ANYTHING.
FORD'S ELECTRONIC POWER ASSISTED STEERING (EPAS) SYSTEM FAILED WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED. THE STEERING WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO MANAGE THE TRUCK TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I TURNED OFF THE TRUCK AND RE-STARED IT, AND THE STEERING WAS FINE. THE SAME EVENT HAPPENED 3 TIMES BEFORE I COULD GET THE TRUCK INTO THE SHOP FOR THE $2,000.00 REPLACEMENT. CANNOT BELIEVE THAT NHTSA HAS NOT RECOGNIZED THIS AS A SYSTEMIC FAILURE WORTHY OF A RECALL. HUNDREDS OF F150 TRUCKS ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. ONLY A BRIEF AMOUNT OF RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET REVEALS THAT THIS IS A SYSTEMIC FAILURE ISSUE.
WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET ON AND GOING 70 MPH, ON A STRAIGHT LEVEL HIGHWAY, TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED TO 1ST GEAR. REAR TIRES SLID, ENGINE RPM'S WERE INCREASED FROM THE ENGINE BRAKING EFFECT OF THE SUDDEN DOWNSHIFT AND TIRES DRAGGING. PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE FOR A SHORT TIME. STARTED THE ENGINE AND WENT HOME SLOWLY WITHOUT ANOTHER ISSUE. DID A SEARCH FOR WHAT HAPPENED AND FOUND THE RECALL FOR 2011 AND 2012 F150. THIS IS A SERIOUSLY UNSAFE AND UNPREDICTABLE CONDITION THAT IF IT OCCURS ON A CURVE OR RAIN SLICKED ROAD COULD CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT THROUGH LOSS OF CONTROL. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD AND BEEN TOLD THE RECALL DOES NOT COVER MAY YEAR MODEL. I THINK MY 95,000 MILES ON MY 2013 MODEL F150 PUTS MY VEHICLE IN THE MILEAGE RANGE OBTAINED BY EARLIER YEAR MODELS SO I MAY BE THE START OF THE SAME ISSUES WITH THE 2013 YEAR MODELS. THERE IS A COMPONENT ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSIONS THAT THEY FAILING IN SUCH A DANGEROUS AND UNPREDICTABLE MANNER. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER IS 16V248000 FOR 2011 AND 2012 F150S.

ENGINE SURGED TO A HIGHER SPEED BY ITSELF. PROBLEM CLEARED BY ITSELF. WENT TO AUTOZONE AND HAD ERROR CODE READ. IT SAID THAT IT WAS A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY. COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT IF IN GEAR AND ENGINE SURGED OR IF FAILURE OCCURRED ON A FREEWAY.
LIKE MANY OTHER FORD THROTTLE BODY COMPLAINTS IN VEHICLES 2010-2013 MINE HAS THE SAME ELECTRICAL CONNECTION PROBLEM FROM THE VEHICLE COMPUTER TO THE THROTTLE BODY ITSELF. SENDING THE VEHICLE INTO THE "LIMP HOME MODE " WHILE IN MOTION AT ANY SPEED CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE BY, AT ANY GIVEN TIME LOSING THROTTLE CONTROL.THIS VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE EARLIER RECALL ( CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM VIA FORD MOTOR COMPANY ) OF ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY DEFECTS.
IF YOU HAVE AN ECOBOOST V6. I HAVE NOTICED THAT SOMETIMES WHEN YOU HAVE TO ACCELERATE VERY QUICKLY THE VEHICLE TAKES UP TO 5 SECONDS TO RESPOND AND GIVE YOU ANY POWER. I ASSUME THAT THE COMPUTER IS SPINNING UP THE TWIN TURBOS BUT THOSE CRITICAL SECONDS CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I HAVE ON A FEW OCCASIONS ALMOST GOT RAN OVER BECAUSE THE TRUCK DECIDED TO TAKE ITS TIME GIVING ME POWER TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. ITS LIKE FOR THOSE FEW SECONDS YOU HAVE NO POWER.
