BRAKE FLUID LOW LEVEL LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. I STOPPED THE TRUCK AT WORK WITH A PLAN TO GET IT CHECKED AT LUNCH TIME. WHEN I RESTARTED THE TRUCK THE BRAKE PEDAL INSTANTLY WENT TO THE FLOOR LEAVING THE TRUCK WITH NO BRAKES. I GOT OUT TO CHECK THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR LEVEL AND IT WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY, BUT THERE WERE NO LEAKS ANYWHERE. THE TRUCK WAS TOWED TO FORD DEALERSHIP
THE REAR BRAKES OF MY 2014 F 150 SPORADICALLY LOCK UP FOR A FEW SEC AFTER SHORT OR LONG DISTANCE HIGHWAY DRIVE. THE ACTUAL LOCK UP OCCURS WHEN I MAKE A TURN INTO AND AROUND A PARKING LOT. ONCE I HAVE COMPLETED THE TURN THE BRAKES QUICKLY RELEASE THEMSELVES. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER BUT CAN NEVER REPLICATE IT, SO NOTHING HAS BEEN TO EVEN LOOK AT THE BRAKING SYSTEM. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT IS PROBABLY JUST THE ABS ACTING UP ONCE IN AWHILE.
TOOK GRANDKIDS TO SOCCER PRACTICE AND BRAKES FAILED. PUSHED PEDAL AND IT WENT TO FLOOR. PUMPED PEDAL AND REGAINED BRAKE POWER. FLUID LOW INDICATOR CAME ON, SO I PUT FLUID IN AND LIMPED 1 MILE HOME...THE NO FLUID LIGHT CAME ON AND NO BRAKES. THERE IS NO INDICATION OF FLUID LEAKING IN THE WHEELS OR MASTER CYLINDER.
TRUCK WAS PARKED ON A HILL AND WHEN I RETURNED I GOT MESSAGE LOW BRAKE FLUID AND HAD NO BRAKES. I ADDED BRAKE FLUID AND WITHIN 2 MINUTES IT ALL LEAKED OUT, BUT NOTHING ON THE GROUND. HAD TRUCK TOWED AND THE FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID ALL THE BRAKE FLUID HAD LEAKED FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER TO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. BOTH WERE REPLACED BY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP UNDER WARRANTY. TRUCK HAD 10,000 MILES AT THE TIME. SEEMS LIKE THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD. VERY DANGEROUS. HOPEFULLY A RECALL WILL BE DONE BEFORE SOMEBODY DIES BECAUSE OF IT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED BUT WAS UNCERTAIN. AS A RESULT, THE DRIVER VEERED OFF THE ROAD AND CRASHED. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A FATAL HEART ATTACK. THE DRIVER RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: PE16003 (SERVICE BRAKES , SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC), AND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V316000 (STEERING) AND 14V710000 (SEATS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GEORGE COLEMAN FORD DEALER LOCATED AT 47 PLAZA DR, TRAVELERS REST, SC 29690 WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED OR DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE AND LEFT OVER NIGHT FOR TEST DRIVES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000.
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MPH ON A FLAT STRAIGHTAWAY, 33 OUTSIDE, AND HEAR A NOISE LIKE A GUN WENT OFF. THE REAR PASSENGERS SIDE WINDOW ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE COMPLETELY SHATTERED. DEALER TOOK A PICTURE AND FORD SAID SOMETHING MUST HAVE HIT IT DUE TO THE LARGE LOWER HOLE WITH A RADIAL PATTERN. THERE WAS NOTHING INSIDE OF THE TRUCK AND OF COURSE THE HOLE WAS LARGE NOW DUE TO FALLING APART WITH EVERY BUMP I HIT DRIVING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. I THINK FORD HAS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR WINDOWS AND OF COURSE BLAME IT ON THE CUSTOMER.
UPON DRIVING AFTER START UP, THE TRUCK WILL EXPERIENCE A HARSH UP SHIFT WHEN SHIFTING FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR. THE TRUCK WILL LURCH FORWARD VIOLENTLY. AFTER OPERATING, THE HARSH UP-SHIFT WILL GO AWAY. I HAVE BROUGHT THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER, AND THEY CANNOT DETERMINE WHAT IS CAUSING THE HARSH SHIFT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.

THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER, BUT NO FAILURES COULD BE FOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000.
DRIVER SIDE REAR BED WINDOW SHATTERED, WHILE STANDING STILL IN MY DRIVEWAY. COLD MORNING AND THE REMOTE STARTUP WAS USED TO WARM UP TRUCK. I ASSUME THE TRUCK AUTOMATICALLY TURNS ON DEFROSTERS WHEN IT SENSES CERTAIN OUTSIDE TEMPS. WENT OUT TO TRUCK WHILE IT WAS RUNNING, LOADED SOME THINGS IN, CLOSED THE DOOR AND HEARD A LOAD POP. COULDN'T SEE WHAT MADE SOUND AT TIME AND WENT BACK INT THE HOUSE. CAME BACK OUT AND GOT INTO THE TRUCK TO GO TO WORK AND LOOKED THROUGH REAR WINDOW AND SAW THAT GLASS WAS SHATTERED.
I HAD A BRAKE FAILURE IDENTICAL TO THAT OF WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN REPORTED, WITHIN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, I WENT TO APPLY BRAKES AND PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO FLOORBOARD & I HAD LITTLE TO NO BRAKE CONTROL. REFILLED RESERVOIR BUT IT WAS EMPTY WITHIN 30 MINUTES. ALL FLUID DRAINED OUT OF MASTER CYLINDER AND IN TO BRAKE BOOSTER. HAD TO HAVE MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED, AND HAVE NOT HAD PROBLEM SINCE.
ELECTRONIC STEERING GEAR FAILURE AT 36,700 MILES. TOTAL LOSS OF STEERING WHILE TRYING TO PARK AT A RESTURANT.. THANK GOD I WAS IN A PARKING LOT WHEN IT HAPPENED. WHILE AT DEALER (JONES FORD NORTH CHARLESTON SC) ANOTHER F-150 TOWED IN WITH SAME PROBLEM. FORD REPLACED ELECTRONIC STEERING GEAR UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE FAILURE MAY OCCUR AGAIN. IS THIS VEHICLE SAFE?
WHILE DRIVING TRUCK AND TAKING OFFRAMP TO SERVICE ROAD , PUSHED BRAKES AND THEY WERE HARD , NO RESPONSE . GOT TRUCK OFF THE ROAD WITHOUT A COLLISION , HAD TRUCK TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED A VACUUM PUMP ON THE BRAKE SYSTEM . TRUCK HAD 21,500 MILES . 3 WEEKS LATER WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AGAIN SAME THING HAPPENED . HAD TRUCK TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT IS AT NOW WAITING FOR A DIAGNOSIS ON REPAIR . THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES A MONTH, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V345000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A TIME FRAME THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD SUPPLY THE PARTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

FAILURE OF MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER PUMP. ALL FLUID DRAINED INTO BOOSTER WITH NO WARNING. REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. VEHICLE HAS ONLY 9600 MILES. VEHICLE LOST ALL BRAKING ABILITY (EXCLUDING EBRAKE) WITHIN 60 SECONDS OF A LOW FLUID ALERT.
UNINTENDED ACCELERATION EVENT, 2014 FORD F150, 5.0 L V-8. NO DAMAGE OR INJURIES. OCCURRED 10/27/15 AT APPROX. 2 PM IN SPRING HILL FLORIDA, 80 DEGREES AND RAINING. EXPERIENCED SUDDEN FULL OPEN THROTTLE CONDITION WHEN BRAKING THE VEHICLE AS I PULLED INTO A PARKING STALL AT A BANK. BRAKE RESTRAINED THE VEHICLE FROM LUNGING FORWARD FOR SEVERAL SECONDS UNTIL I SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL. ACCELERATION WAS SUFFICIENT TO SPIN THE TIRES ON THE DAMP PAVEMENT. IN NEUTRAL THE THROTTLE WENT TO MAX RPM FOR 2 TO 3 SECONDS, THEN SLOWED TO IDLE. CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT IN USE AND FLOOR MAT WAS NOT NEAR THE ACCELERATOR. VEHICLE IS SCHEDULED TO BE CHECKED AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP ON FRI 10/30. MY PASSENGER IS A WITNESS.
DOOR LATCHES GET STUCK LOCKED CAN NOT OPEN BY HAND IF I WAS TO GET IN A WRECK OR HAVE A MEDICAL ISSUE I COULD NOT EXIT VEHICLE THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE I PURCHASED VEHICLE ON ALL DOORS IN TRUCK I HAVE DONE REPLACED 1 ACTUATOR NOW ALL NEED REPLACING
AS AS I EXITING I-95 ONTO AN OFF RAMP IN A 2014 F-150 (GOING ABOUT 45MPH AT THE TIME OF BREAKING) I STARTED TO BRAKE IN ORDER TO SLOW TO AN APPROPRIATE SPEED TO MAKE A SLIGHT RIGHT CURVED TURN. WITHIN 1-2 SECONDS, MY STEERING LOCKED UP, AND THE TIRES BEGAN TO SCREECH. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL MY STEERING AND THE BRAKES DID NOT SEEM TO RESPOND TO THE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE I WAS PUTTING ON THE BREAK PEDAL. WHILE I DID EVENTUALLY STOP, I WOULD HAVE DEFINITELY REAR ENDED SOMEONE IF THEY WERE IN FRONT OF ME. THANKFULLY I HAD AN OPEN LANE. ONCE I WAS COMPLETELY STOPPED, THE CAR RETURNED TO NORMAL OPERATION AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND INSPECT MY VEHICLE. I WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING THAT WOULD SIGNAL AN ISSUE, SO I DROVE IT HOME AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP. THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO IF THE SYSTEM WAS NOT REGISTERING ANY ERRORS AND THE TRUCK WAS (CURRENTLY) PERFORMING NORMAL. ADDITIONALLY, ABOUT 1 MONTH PRIOR, AS I WAS ACCELERATING AND THEN BEGAN TO BRAKE DUE TO A STOP LIGHT CHANGE, THE BRAKE PETAL BEGAN TO VIBRATE AND THE CAR MADE A 3 SECOND GRINDING SOUND UNTILL I LET OFF THE BRAKE, AND AGAIN PERFORMED NORMALLY THEREAFTER.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 8,900.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
TRAVELLING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. LOW BRAKE FLUID INDICATOR CAME ON. PULLED OVER, TOPPED OFF BRAKE FLUID. HAD TO PURCHASE 24OZ OF FLUID TO GET IT TO LEVEL. DROVE ANOTHER 20 MILES. INDICATOR CAME BACK ON. ADDED 12OZ MORE OF FLUID AND MADE IT HOME. THE NEXT MORNING THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. NO BRAKES AT ALL. NO SIGN OF LEAK ANYWHERE. NO FLUID ON DRIVEWAY. VANISHING FLUID? NOT SURE HOW MY TRUCK CAN HIDE 36OZ+ OF BRAKE FLUID IF IT'S NOT IN THE RESERVOIR.
LOST ALL BRAKING UNEXPECTEDLY. BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND I IMMEDIATELY HADE NO BRAKES WHATSOEVER. CO-WORKERS HELPED ME PUSH THE VEHICLE BACK INTO AN EMPTY PARKING SPOT WHERE IT WAS LATER TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AT DEALERSHIP'S EXPENSE. AROUND 10K MILES OR LESS AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. FORD DEALERSHIP SAID ALL FLUID HAD LEAKED FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER INTO THE BOOSTER. I VIEW THIS AS A SERIOUS DEFECT AND AM HIGHLY SUSPECT OF THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE, AS A RESULT. PLEASE ADVISE.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK IN THE RAIN. I PUT THE REAR DEFROST ON TO HELP CLEAR THE MIRRORS. AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES I HEARD A LOUD BANG AS IF SOMETHING LANDED ON MY ROOF. I NOTICED THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR WINDSHIELD WAS SHATTERED. I HAVE A CAP ON THE BED OF THE TRUCK, SO NOTHING COULD HAVE HIT IT FROM THE OUTSIDE.
WHILE CHECKING ENGINE OIL NOTICED A "SUCKING" NOISE COMING FROM THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR AND NOTED IT WAS EMPTY. ADDED SOME ADDITIONAL DOT 4 FLUID UP TO THE MIN MARK AND WITHIN 30 MINUTES IT WAS EMPTY AGAIN. TRACED ALL THE BRAKE LINES AND INSPECTED THE BRAKE CALIPERS AND NO LEAKS NOTED. WENT TO START THE TRUCK TO MOVE IT AND THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN PRESSED WENT TO THE FLOOR. NO OTHER SIGNS OF BRAKE ISSUES PRIOR TO THIS POINT. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THAT THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER ARE DEFECTIVE AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE BRAKE FLUID WAS LEAKING INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND COLLECTING THERE HENCE NO VISIBLE LEAKAGE. FORTUNATELY THE INCIDENT OCCURRED IN MY DRIVEWAY, BUT IF IT HAD OCCURRED ON THE ROAD WHO KNOWS WHAT THE RESULTS WOULD HAVE BEEN. THE TRUCK HAS ~21,800 MILES AND WAS PURCHASED NEW IN NOVEMBER 2014 WITH A BUILD DATE IN AUGUST 2014. QUICK SEARCH ON THE INTERNET HAS TURNED UP SIMILAR INSTANCES WITH THE SAME YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, AND ~ MILEAGE.
STARTED VEHICLE AND PUSHED ON BRAKE TO SWITCH TO REVERSE, WARNING MESSAGE THAT VEHICLE WAS LOW ON BRAKE FLUID. VERIFIED BY LOOKING AT MASTER CYLINDER, ADDED BRAKE FLUID AND STARTED DRIVING. WITHIN 3 MILES SAME MESSAGE, PARKED VEHICLE CALLED FORD. THEY PICKED UP THE VEHICLE AND CALLED ME LATER TO ADVISE THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER FAILED AND THE BRAKE BOOSTER SUCKED ALL THE FLUID INTO IT. THEY BOTH NEEDED REPLACED AS WELL AS OTHER BRAKE RELATED STUFF. I RESEARCHED AND I KNOW I AM NOT THE FIRST TO HAVE THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM, I AM JUST LUCKY I WASNT ON THE FREEWAY AT SPEED WHEN THIS OCCURRED.

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER BRAKING CYLINDER AND THE BRAKE BOOSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000.
FRONT WINDSHIELD 2 SMALL CRACKS DEVELOPED. ONE DIRECTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD APPROX. 1" HORIZATAL AND THE OTHER 1" FRONT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD. CRACKS OCCURED WHILE DRIVING, NO IMPACTS FROM ROCKS OR DEBRIE DIDN'T OCCUR.
BRAKE RESERVOIR LOST ALL FLUID RESULTING IN BRAKE LOSS, AFTER TRAVELING 60 MILES PULLING AN RV. ON OUR FIRST TRIP OVER THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE WE STOPPED FOR THE NITE THE NEXT MORNING WE HAD NO BRAKES AND FOUND THE RESERVOIR COMPLETELY DRY. CALLED FORD ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND WERE TOLD IT WOULD COST $462 TO GET THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK. I REFILLED THE BRAKE RESERVOIR AND DROVE HOME PULLING THE RV OVER THE MOUNTAINS TO HOME. FORD TOLD ME THAT COULDN'T HAPPEN BUT IT DID THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER UNDER WARRANTY AND GAVE ME A LOANER CAR.
BRAKES SUDDENLY FAILED ON THE HIGHWAY, HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO A FORD SERVICE CENTER AND IT TURNED OUT THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER COMPONENT FLOODED WITH BRAKE FLUID WHICH IS A MAYOR FAILURE AND IS NEVER SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN, EVEN THE SERVICE MANAGER AT SAWGRASS FORD AGREES WITH THAT ASSESSMENT. DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE I FOUND OUT THIS COMPONENT HAS FAILED AROUND THE COUNTRY AND FORD HAS DONE NOTHING TO IMPROVE THE PART'S SAFETY. I'VE ALREADY FILED A COMPLAINT THE STATE OF FLORIDA ATTORNEY'S OFFICE AND NOW I'M DOING THE SAME WITH YOU. THE SUDDEN FAILURE OF THIS PART REPRESENTS A VERY GRAVE SAFETY SITUATION AS THE BRAKES ARE WITHOUT A WARNING COMPLETELY DISABLED ONCE IT HAPPENS.

THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE AND BRAKES SINCE I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK. I HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY THROW PARTS AT IT AND IT DOES NOT FIX IT. AT BEGINNING OF ACCELERATION THERE IS A DEAD SPOT IN THE THROTTLE AND WHEN YOU PUSH PAST IT SLIGHTLY YOU FIND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES RAPIDLY AND SOMETIMES SPINS THE DRIVE TIRES. A FEW DAYS AGO I WAS PULLING OUT INTO A BREAK IN TRAFFIC THAT WAS MORE THAN ADEQUATE AND THE ENGINE STARTED O.K. THEN HESITATED PUTTING ME IN DANGER OF BEING HIT BY NOW CLOSELY APPROACHING TRAFFIC. WHEN I BRING THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER THEY TRY THEIR BEST TO FIND THE PROBLEM BUT CAN'T.THEY SAID IT WAS BAD TURBOS AND REPLACED THEM THAT DID NOTHING TO HELP, THEY ALSO SAID THE PLUG WIRE BOOTS HAD TRACKS ON THEM AND THE SPARK PLUGS WERE MISFIRING, ALL WAS REPLACED TO NO AVAIL. ALSO WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING AT CITY SPEEDS AND PUSH THE THROTTLE TO PASS OR ACCELERATE IN TRAFFIC THERE IS A NOTICEABLE LAG IN DEPRESSING THE THROTTLE AND THE ENGINE RESPONDING. THIS IS ALSO A DANGEROUS PROBLEM.I BROUGHT THE TRUCK IN FOR OVERLY SENSITIVE BRAKES AND I WAS TOLD BY ONE SERVICE WRITER THAT THE TECH FOUND FLUID IN THE BOOSTER AND ANOTHER WRITER SAID IT WAS ASSEMBLY LUBE. THEY CHANGED THE BOOSTER BUT NOT THE MASTER CYLINDER.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE @ 75 MILES PER HOUR, THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT CAME ON. AT THAT TIME I TRIED MY BRAKES AND THE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR, STARTED DOWN SHIFTING AND USING THE PARKING BRAKE TO STOP. TRUCK WAS TOWED TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP, DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER HAD LEAKED ALL FLUID FROM THE RESERVOIR INTO THE BREAK BOOSTER AND INTO VACUUM LINES. COULD BE UP TO A MONTH TO GET PARTS TO FIX. DEALERS SAID IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS A PROBLEM AND THAT IS WHY THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL ON THIS?

BRAKE PEDDLE WENT CLEAR TO FLOOR AUG 2015, WERE TOLD BY FORD DEALERSHIP BREAK FLUID RAN INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. DID NOT CAUSE A CRASH WE WERE AT A STOP LIGHT ON HILL AND STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS PUT ON EMERGENCY BRAKE BEFORE WE ROLLED INTO THE CAR BEHIND US ONCE LIGHT TURNED GREEN WE WENT UP THE HILL AND TRIED TO TURN COULD NOT STOP AND PEDESTRIANS WERE IN CROSSWALK SO WE COULD NOT TURN HAD TO GO STRAIGHT AND PULL OVER. WE WERE IN DOWNTOWN AND FOUND OUT LATER IF WE WERE ABLE TO TURN IT WAS A VERY STEEP DOWN HILL SO GOOD THAT WE ENDED GOING STRAIGHT IT COULD HAVE BEEN A BIG ISSUE FOR US. THIS ISSUE ONCE FIXED THEN CAUSED THE BAKE LIGHTS NOT WORK WORK SO WE WENT BACK TO DEALERSHIP DUE TO A SWITCH THAT WENT BAD DUE TO THE BRAKE PEDDLE GOING TO THE FLOOR SINCE WE WERE ON VACATION IN NASHVILLE TN WHEN WE LEFT AND STARTED ON ROAD AGAIN SOON FOUND OUT THAT IT ALSO CAUSED THE BAKES WOULD NOT TURN OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH, WE WOULD HIT BRAKES AND WE WERE STILL GOING 70 MPH WE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON SO WE MANUALLY TURNED OFF CRUISE WITH SWITCH ON STEERING WHEEL. WE HAD TO GET FIXED ONCE WE RETURNED TO OHIO. FORD PAID FOR OUR 3 EXTRA DAY STAY IN A MOTEL WHILE WE WAITED FOR PARTS TO BE FOUND BY US AND OUR DEALERSHIP IN OHIO SINCE THERE SEEMED TO BE NO BRAKE BOOSTERS AVAILABLE DURING THIS TIME. ONCE WE FOUND PARTS HAD THEM SHIPPED TO MID TEN FORD IN NASHVILLE TN.

I STARTED TO PULL OUT OF MY DRIVE WAY AND APPLIED THE BRAKES BEFORE ENTERING THE STREET. AT THIS POINT I NOTICED THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT HAD COME ON .I VERY CAREFULLY BACK THE TRUCK BACK INTO MY DRIVE WAY USING THE PARK BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE AGAIN .I WAS LUCKY NO CARS WERE COMING OR WE WOULD HAVE HAD A ACCIDENT . I CALLED THE FORD DEALER WHO TOLD ME TO CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE . THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY FOUND THAT ALL THE BRAKE FLUID HAD GONE INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. I WAS INFORMED THAT NO REPLACEMENT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE AND THEY WOULD PUT IN A EMERGENCY ORDER FOR THEM TO SPEED THINGS UP. THIS LEEDS ME TO BELIEVE THAT FORD IS HAVING REAL PROBLEMS WITH THESE PARTS AND THIS IS NOT A ISOLATED PROBLEM .
AT APPROXIMATELY 12,600 MILES ON MY NEWLY PURCHASED VEHICLE, I EXPERIENCED BRAKE VIBRATION, A HESITATION AND JERK IN TRANSMISSION AT LOW ACCELERATING SPEED OR SLOWING DOWN AND THEN ACCELERATING, AND A LOUD WHINING NOISE FROM REAR END BETWEEN 60-65 MILES PER HOUR. I TOOK IT TO RIVER CITY FORD AND THEY TURNED THE ROTORS FOR THE BRAKES. I TOLD RIVER CITY FORD THAT WAS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A NEW VEHICLE AND BY TURNING THE ROTORS THEY JUST REDUCED THE LIFE OF THE ROTORS FOR A NEW VEHICLE. I ALSO TOLD THEM THAT THE BRAKE PADS SHOULD BE REPLACED ALSO. I CONTACTED FORD CORP AND THEY WOULD NOT TAKE ANY ACTION AND WOULD NOT LET ME TALK TO ANYONE HIGHER THAN A CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR. RIVER CITY FORD HAS HAD MY VEHICLE IN THE SHOP SINCE 7/20/2015. THEY HAVE TRIED SHIMMING RING AND PINION IN REAR END AND IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY HAVE TRIED VARIOUS THINGS AND HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. THEY CLAIM THAT ADDING GREASE TO THE TRANSMISSION SUPPOSEDLY FIXED THE JERKING WHEN ACCELERATING. FORD CORP HAS WASTED A LOT OF TIME TRYING TO FIX A KNOWN PROBLEM BY FORD. MY RESEARCH SHOWS THE REAR END ISSUE HAS EXISTED FOR YEARS AND MANY CUSTOMERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM. BRAKE VIBRATION, TRANSMISSION JERKING, AND LOUD HUMMING FROM THE REAR END ARE ALL SAFETY ISSUES, THAT IF A FAILURE OCCURS, COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT AT HIGH SPEED.
3.5 ECO BOOST ENGINE RUNS ROUGH AT TIMES AND WHEN PASSING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS SOMETIMES GOES INTO "SAFE MODE" AND SHUTS DOWN TO IDLE WHEN UNDER FULL ACCELERATION. MILEAGE IS CONSTANTLY GOING DOWN, FROM 22MPG TO 13MPG. DEALER SAYS THIS IS NEW TO THEM.THE DEALER SAID THEY FOUND TRACKS ON THE SPARK PLUGS AND CHANGED THEM, NEW PLUG WIRES WERE SUPPOSEDLY BAD, REPLACED BOTH TURBOS. STILL NO DIFFERENCE.I HAVE A VIDEO OF THIS HAPPENING WITH THE ENG CHECK LIGHT COMING ON AND AFTER THE DEALER SAID THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF THIS IN OBD2 MEMORY.
WHILE MOVING AT A SLOW SPEED I PRESSED THE BREAK PEDAL AND THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT APPLYING THE BREAKS. I IMMEDIATELY RELEASED THE BREAK PEDAL AND THEN PRESSED IT AGAIN. ON THIS ATTEMPT THE BREAKS DID ENGAGE.

THIS VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY UNDER RECALL FOR THE MASTER CYLINDER IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM. MY VEHICLE ALREADY EXPERIENCED THE LOSS OF THE BRAKING SYSTEM IN JUNE OF 2015 AND HAD THE BRAKING SYSTEM REPLACED . FORD HAS KNOW RECALLED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND WON'T HAVE A FIX FOR MONTHS AND WANTS THE OWNERS TO CONTINUE DRIVING THEIR VEHICLE. BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH. IMMEDIATELY TESTED BRAKES AND FELT NORMAL APPLICATION. THREE MILES LATER APPROACHING A FOUR-WAY INTERSECTION, INITIATED SECOND PEDAL APPLICATION AND BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR WITH NO ASSOCIATED BRAKING ACTION. USED PARKING BRAKE, GEAR DOWN-SHIFTING AND ROAD SHOULDER TO AVOID COLLISION WITH OTHER VEHICLES. SERVICE INSPECTION FOUND MASTER CYLINDER HAD LEAKED ALL FLUID FROM RESERVOIR INTO BRAKE BOOSTER AND INTO VACUUM LINE. REPLACED BRAKE BOOSTER, MASTER CYLINDER, VACUUM CHECK VALVE, AND VACUUM LINE.....UPDATED 10/20/15 *BF
APPLIED BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN GETTING OFF INTERSTATE I-85 AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO WARNING OTHER THAN THE CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL AFTERWARDS. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT STOPPED BY DOWNSHIFTING IT TO LOW, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITHOUT HITTING ANYTHING. FORD DETERMINED IT IS THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER AND THEY NEED REPLACED BUT THOSE PARTS ARE BACK ORDERED FOR BETWEEN 2 & 12 WEEKS. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT FORD IS REPLACING THESE PARTS ON NEW F150S AND THAT IS WHY THE LONG BACK ORDER.
TRYING TO RETRIEVE SOMETHING THAT HAD FALLEN UNDER OR BESIDE THE FRONT DRIVERS SEAT. FEELING AROUNG I SLICED ONE OF MY FINGERS ON MY RIGHT HAND AFTER REACHING ONLY ABOUT 2-4" UNDER THE SEAT. I THEN INSPECTED UNDER BOTH FRONT SEATS AND FOUND KNIFE SHARP RAW METAL AREAS UNDER BOTH FRONT SEATS, MORE UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT THAN THE PASSANGER SEAT. DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE UNUSUAL BUT JUST A NORMAL HAPPENING IN THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS, WHICH CAUSES ME MUCH MORE CONCERN. THESE AREAS ARE NOT HARD TO REACH AND COULD CAUSE A VERY SERIOUS CUT TO ANYONE SEARCHING FOR LOST ITEMS OR A CHILD SEARCHING FOR A LOST TOY.
