BRAKE FAILURE. PEDAL WENT COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR. WARNING LIGHT INDICATED LOW FLUID. TOOK IMMEDIATELY FOR SERVICE AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER HAD FAILED AND ALSO BRAKE FLUID HAD LEAKED INTO THE BOOSTER. BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN STATIONARY FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE DRIVING. WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AFTER FIRST ATTEMPT TO APPLY BRAKES. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO FORD DEALER WITH VERY MINIMAL BRAKING ABILITY BUT NOT COMPLETE LOSS.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY USING THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, THE VEHICLE MAY FALSELY DETECTS AN OBSTACLE IN ITS PATH AND MAY UNEXPECTEDLY APPLY THE BRAKES. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN ADDRESSED BY NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V-614, BUT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I BELIEVE MY (AND PERHAPS OTHER PEOPLES) VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE CAMPAIGN.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I HEARD A LOUD POP, I THOUGHT SOMETHING HAD HIT THE FRONT WINDOW BUT NOTHING. I TURNED TO LOOK AT THE BACK OF THE TRUCK AND ALL OF THE REAR WINDOW WAS SHATTERED (SPIDERWEBS) . NOTHING COULD'VE HAVE HIT THE GLASS BECAUSE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON A TUESDAY AND THEY FILED THE CLAIM WITH FORD. FORD DID NOT RESPOND UNTIL 10 DAYS LATER STATING THEY WOULD NOT FIX IT BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT FIND A CAUSE FOR THE SHATTERED WINDOW. WTF!!!! IT SHATTERED ON ITS OWN THAT'S THE FREAKING CAUSE...I CALLED THE SERVICE MANAGER WAS TOLD HE WOULD RETURN MY CALL AND UNTIL NOW I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IS THERE NO RECALL IF THERE HAS BEEN SO MANY COMPLAINTS, FORD NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ASAP!! WORST SERVICE EVER, LAST FORD I EVER BUY!!!!
WHILE USING ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL THE CAR WILL INEXPLICABLY BREAK WHEN IT SEES SHADOWS IN THE ROAD. USUALLY HAPPENING WHILE TRAVELING UNDER A BRIDGE ON HIGHWAY. CAR WILL DROP SPEED FROM 70 MPH TO APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH WITH SUDDEN BREAKING?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS WITH ALL THE DOORS LOCKED, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS FAILED TO REMAIN LOCKED. IN ADDITION, THE WINDOW LOCK ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS ENGAGED, BUT FAILED WHEN THE VEHICLE REACHED HIGHER SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. Transmission Downshift suddenly, jerks after stop start when vehicle starts again Yes Yes No The plastic oil pan leaks few oil change shops has the plastic plug and some will not perform oil change because of the plastic pan and plug.
I PURCHASED A NEW 2015 FORD F-150, SUPER CREW CAB, 4X4 IN JUNE 2015. IT HAS A V6, 3.5 L ECOBOOST ENGINE. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS ABOUT 7700 MILES. FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS AS I COME TO A SLOW STOP I HEAR AN INTERMITTING ROTATING SCRAPING SOUND WHICH APPEARS TO BE COMING FROM THE RIGHT REAR BREAK. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP, WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, FOR THIS ISSUE THREE TIMES BUT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE OR CORRECT THE ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH AND PULLING A TRAILER, THE ELECTRONIC EMERGENCY BRAKE SUDDENLY ENGAGED AND THE SPEED IMMEDIATELY REDUCED SIGNIFICANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER. SEVERAL EMERGENCY LIGHTS SEQUENCED ON. I REALIZED THAT ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING AT IDLE AND THAT VEHICLE KEPT MOVING AT APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH. GOT OFF ROAD AND SHUT DOWN VEHICLE AND RESTARTED IT. SAME PROBLEM EXISTED. AT IDOL SPEED VEHICLE WOULD SLOWLY MOVE. PRESSING ACCELERATOR PEDAL DID NOTHING. FORD REPRESENTATIVE INDICATES THAT THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM. NO INFO YET ON REDESIGNED REPLACEMENT PART. I WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT THE PROBLEM IS THE "THROTTLE BODY MOTOR ASSEMBLY". I RECEIVED NO INFORMATION FROM FORD PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT AND DO NOT SEE A RECALL.
2015 FORD F-150. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO SEVERAL DEFECTS WITH VEHICLE. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WERE MULTIPLE INSTANCES WHERE THE VEHICLE STALLED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE STEERING GEAR, STEERING SHAFT, STEERING WHEEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONSUMER BLEW THE HORN AND A WHOLE WAS PUNCTURED IN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE WRENCH LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THERE WAS A FLUID LEAK FROM THE REAR LEFT AXLE. THE SHUTTER GRILLE ACTUATOR BECAME UNPLUGGED. *JS
CPSC: 2015 FORD F150 SUPERCEW LARIAT: CONSUMER STATED AFTER A LONG TRIP WITH THE PASSENGER SEAT SET TO MAX COOLING, THE CHILD'S HAND BECAME HOT WHILE TRYING TO RETRIEVE THE BOOK FROM THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE SEAT WAS ALSO ON A HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 132F FOR SEVERAL HOURS. *SS
IN SOME AFFECTED FORD VEHICLES WITH CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEATS IT IS FOUND THAT EXCESSIVE TEMPERATURES IN EXCESS OF 132 DEGREES F CAN BE REACHED ON THE REAR OF THE FRONT SEATS. THIS AREA IS JUST ABOVE THE MAGAZINE POCKET WHICH CAUSES AN INCREASE RISK OF CONTACT WITH THE HIGH TEMPERATURES. CHILDREN OFTEN STORE BOOKS IN THE MAGAZINE POCKET AND COME IN CONTACT WITH THE LEATHER UPHOLSTERY THAT IS AT AN ELEVATED TEMPERATURE. IF METAL OBJECTS, SUCH AS TOYS, ARE STORED IN THE SEAT POCKET THEY CAN HAVE HEAT TRANSFER FROM THIS UNIT CAUSING THE TOYS TO BE HOT TO THE TOUCH CAUSING THE POTENTIAL FOR BURNS. MY CHILDREN HAVE TOUCHED THIS AREA OF THE SEAT IN THE PAST AND COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SEAT BEING HOT. THEY ALSO HAVE AT TIMES GRABBED A TOY OUT OF THE SEAT POCKET AND IMMEDIATELY DROPPED THE DIE-CAST TOY DUE TO IT BEING HOT. KNOW AFFECTED VEHICLES INCLUDE LATE 2015+ FORD F150, FORD EXPLORER, FORD MUSTANG, AND OTHER MODELS WITH THE SAME SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM. FORD RELEASED A TSB 15-0154 TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL INTAKE SOCK TO THE CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEATS. THIS REPAIR HAS NOT SUCCESSFULLY MITIGATED THE SAFETY RISK TO CHILDREN BEING EXPOSED TO THE HOT TEMPERATURES.
"CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM" LIGHTS KEEPS COMING ON FOR NO REASON WHEN GOING 40MPH OR MORE.ONLY ONE TIME I HAVE EXPERIENCE SOME BRAKE LOSS IN PEDAL PRESSURE IT TOOK LONGER TO BRAKE. ESPECIALLY ON FREEWAY. BRAKE FLUID KEEPS GOING LOW MORE THEN MORE THEN NORMAL. I'VE CHECK BRAKES EACH ONE AND HAVE FOUND NOTING. BRAKE PADS ARE GOOD AND CLEAN BRAKES AND ROTOR AND STILL SAME PROBLEM. BRAKES KEEPS MAKING NOISE WHEN BRAKING. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME I GET ON FREEWAY. "CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM" . IT HAPPENED SECOND DAY OUT THE DEALER.
WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF USE AN INTERMITTENT (FEW DAYS A WEEK) VIBRATION + HUMMING / GRINDING TYPE NOISE WAS PRESENT WHEN TURNING (LEFT AND RIGHT) AT LOW SPEEDS (<25MPH). THE VIBRATION SOMETIMES CYCLIC, FELT IN STEERING WHEEL, AND IS AUDIBLE FROM PASSENGER SEAT. THE VIBRATION IS DISTRACTING AND OFTEN OCCURS WHEN SLOWING DOWN AT STOPLIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS. THE NOISE & VIBRATION, HOWEVER, REMAIN WHEN THE BRAKES ARE NOT ENGAGED. THE NOISE & VIBRATION EXIST WHILE IN 4X4 AS WELL AS 4X2 AND 4A. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN VERIFIED MULTIPLE TIMES BY SERVICE STAFF AT 2 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR SERVICE MULTIPLE TIMES (3 PRIOR) AND PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED TO ATTEMPT TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE (FRONT IWE ASSEMBLIES WHICH WERE FOUND TO HAVE PARTIAL LEAK, FRONT LEFT HUB ASSEMBLY FOUND TO HAVE RESISTANCE / GRINDING WAS REPLACED). SOUND / VIBRATION REMAINED AFTER SERVICE. VEHICLE CURRENTLY IN FOR SERVICE 4TH TIME AT DEALERSHIP TO ADDRESS ISSUE AGAIN (33 DAYS+ AND COUNTING). NO RESOLUTION YET.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE BRAKES ENGAGED INDEPENDENTLY AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED ABRUPTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE CONTROLLER SEIZED THE TRAILER BRAKE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.
Several extremely dangerous situations occured within 6 months of purchasing brand new 2015, F-150, 3.5, 4x4 ecoboost king ranch model. While driving on interstate, in rain, passing an 18 wheeler, without warning forward collision lights go off and truck begins slamming the brakes on by itself and the car behind me had to slam on his brakes to avoid a SEVERE crash. I brought truck to dealership they checked it out and said they wasnt sure why it happened and reset the computer, and put me back on the road. It continued to happen 2 or 3 more times until I realized it was only during rain, and when on side of 53' semi truck trailers. The last time it happened was a very dangerous and unnerving experience. truck suddenly begins slamming brakes on again going thru a major city on the freeway in heavy traffic. I brought the truck into dealer, and told them i wasnt driving it until they fixed it.The first year of ownership my truck was plauged with issues. IT constantly went into limp mode while on the freeway. I was working over 3 states and the truck would go into limp mode if I accelerated to pass. I went to every ford dealership shop along the interstate for a 300 mile stretch over the next 4 years while working away from home . Most of the problems were while under warranty. finally they updated software and it stopped. This was a very dangerous problem and the dealerships werent really very helpful. My truck stayed in the dealership shop more than 60 days the first year i owned it. I bought it brand new.
THE POWERTRAIN HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING 3 TIMES, STRANDING ME, AND MY FAMILY IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF, AND ON, SEVERAL TIMES, I WAS ABLE TO ENGAGE DRIVE, AND MOVE THE TRUCK OUT OF TRAFFIC. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN REPAIRED 3 TIMES FOR THE SAME DEFECT, BUT FORD REFUSES TO REPURCHASE/REPLACE THE VEHICLE. NO ONE IN MY FAMILY IS COMFORTABLE RIDING IN, OR DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. 1ST TIME: WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BACK INTO MY DRIVE WAY, REVERSE COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING, STRANDING ME PERPENDICULAR TO TRAFFIC, IN THE ROAD. 2ND TIME: WITH ANOTHER ADULT, AND 3 CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE, I WAS DRIVING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION IN ATLANTA, AND THE RPM'S WENT TO 5000, WITH NO MOVEMENT. WE WERE COMPLETELY STUCK IN THE DEAD CENTER OF AN EXTREMELY BUSY INTERSECTION, UNABLE TO DRIVE FORWARD, OR BACKWARD. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OF TURNING IT ON, AND OFF, I WAS ABLE TO MOVE FROM THE INTERSECTION, IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. 3RD TIME: WHILE DRIVING IN STOP, AND GO TRAFFIC, IN ATLANTA, I WAS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN, WHEN THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS BEFORE HAPPENED. I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE FORWARD, OR BACKWARD, UNTIL A FEW CYCLES OF TURNING THE CAR ON, AND OFF. I HAVE WRITTEN E-MAILS TO THE CEO, MANAGING DIRECTOR, AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS OF FORD MOTOR CO., ONLY TO BE HANDED OFF TO A REGIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON. THEIR ANSWER IS THAT THEY WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY, AND CONTINUE TO FIX THE VEHICLE. I HAVE ALL THE REPAIR FILES, E-MAILS SENT TO ALL INVOLVED, AND PHONE RECORDS OF THE MANY TIMES I HAVE HAD TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP, AND FORD'S CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGER. TOO MANY TO BEGIN ANY UPLOAD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE DROPS OF RADIATOR FLUID ON THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A FRACTURED RADIATOR AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MECHANIC ALSO STATED THAT THE WAY THE RADIATOR WAS MOUNTED TO THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE WAS WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THERE HAD ALSO BEEN SOME DIFFICULTY SHIFTING GEARS FROM DRIVE INTO PARK AND REVERSE BECAUSE THE GEAR WOULD NOT FULLY SHIFT IN PLACE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 19V075000 (POWER TRAIN) AND 18V894000 (ENGINE). APPLE FORD LINCOLN OF APPLE VALLEY (7200 150TH ST W, APPLE VALLEY, MN 55124, (952) 431-5900) WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE AFTER IT HAD BEEN TAKEN BACK AND FORTH MORE THAN ONCE. THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE VEHICLE STALLING AT ANY RATE OF SPEED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER DUE TO THE POTENTIAL RISK OF A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: RQ17010 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000. *BF. CONSUMER REPLACED THROTTLE BODY, BOTH TIMES VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER OTHER THAN IDLE @ ROUGHLY 60MPH. *JB
Manifold bolts have failed my 3.5L Ecoboost. Fumes are consistently entering the cabin area because they are warped and leaking. It seems like a carbon monoxide safety issue. It is definately an engineering failure because of the configuration of the bolt pattern. I understand that it is a common problem for that engine.
DOORS WILL NOT LATCH WHEN TEMPERATURE GOES BELOW 25 I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVED SINCE FEBRUARY 2016 I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL BUT DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE THE PROBLEM HAS GONE ON WAY TOO LONG
GOT ON I-95 SOUTH DRIVING 65 MPH SMELLING GASOLINE OPENED CLOSED WINDOWS TURNED OF AND ON A/C STILL SMELLING GASOLINE GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY AT COMMERICAL BLVD EXIT . GOT OUT OF VEHICLE TO SEE GASOLINE POURING DOWN FROM DRIVERS SIDE REAR IN FRONT OF RIGHT REAR TIRE WALKED ABOUT 200 FEET DIALED 911 CONTACTED POLICE AND FIRE .. FIRE TRUCK SPREAD CHEMICALS ON FLOOR NOW TRUCK IS IN FORD TO REPAIR THE GAS LEAK .. WHEN I HAVE THE REPAIR BILL I WILL KNOW THE EXACT PART REPLACED. IF THE TRUCK WOULD HAVE CAUGHT FIRE I WOULD BE DEAD THERE IS NO WAY TO EXIT A BURNING VEHICLE AT 65 MPH.
WHEN COLD, DOORS DO NOT LATCH SECURELY AND DOOR WILL APPEAR A JAR IN GAUGE CLUSTER AS WELL AS BEING A JAR. IN ADDITION DOORS HAVE POPPED OPEN WHILE IN MOTION BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SECURELY CLOSED.
IVE HAD A COUPLE ISSUES WITH THE DOOR LATCHES ON MY TRUCK. WHEN THE WEATHER GETS BELOW FREEZING MY PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT LATCH WITHOUT MESSING WITH THE DOOR LOCKS AND SLAMMING IT SEVERAL TIMES. I JUST SPENT 15 MINUTES OUT IN -4 DEGREE WEATHER TRYING TO GET IT TO CLOSE. I'VE HAD IT SERVICED ONCE AND IT STILL DOES IT. IN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, I ALSO READ ONLINE OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS. SEEMS LIKE A PRETTY BIG SAFETY HAZARD IF YOU LIVE IN A NORTHERN CLIMATE WHERE IT GETS COLD.
1.What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? I really thought that it was me, the one that caused this problem by gently pressing the gas pedal when the transmission was downshifting and approaching a traffic light is when this condition always occurred and the transmission was kicking or having dificulties of downshifting. 2.How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? NO 3.Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? NO 4.Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? NO 5.Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? NO My truck have less than 40,000 miles.
I HAVE HAD OVER A DOZEN PROBLEMS WITH THE DOOR LOCKS IN COLD WEATHER. THE DOORS WILL NOT OPEN AND SOME TIME LATER YOU CAN GET ONE OPEN THEN THEY WILL NOT SHUT THE DOOR WILL BOUNCE BACK. ONCE I GET ABOUT 10 MIKES DOWN THE ROAD WITH THE HEATER BLASTING WIDE OPEN THEY WILL FINALLY LATCH CLOSED. I HAVE BEEN TO TWO DEALERS AND NO HELP. STATIONARY AND DRIVING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED TO THE LEFT AND THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LOWER BACK AND HAD A SLIGHT CONCUSSION. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE LOWER BALL JOINT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 11,000. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED.

I OWN A 2015 F150 WITH A VERY FRUSTRATING ISSUE. IT SEEMS THE DOOR LOCKS CEASE WORKING DURING COLD TEMPERATURES. THE ISSUE IS SPORADIC, AND AFFECTS EITHER ALL DOORS, OR SOME OF THE DOORS WHEN IT OCCURS. THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THIS, WAS IN THE MORNING. TO MY SURPRISE, MY SON WAS ABLE TO OPEN MY DOOR WITHOUT UNLOCKING IT. I RECALL LOCKING IT AND HEARING THE BEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE. I ASKED MY SON TO SHUT THE DOOR, I CLICKED THE LOCK BUTTON TWICE AND HEARD THE HONK. I THEN WENT TO OPEN THE DOOR AND IT OPENED! MY TRUCK HAD BEEN LEFT UNSECURED THROUGH THE NIGHT, AND MANY OTHER NIGHTS FOR ALL I KNOW. I THOUGHT THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A FLUKE, SO I WENT ABOUT MY DAY, AND DID NOT EXPERIENCE THIS AGAIN FOR ABOUT A WEEK. WHEN I EXPERIENCED THIS AGAIN, I WAS ON A LUNCH BREAK AND I HAD DRIVEN TO A LOCAL SPOT WHERE I LIKE TO JOG. WHEN I DO THIS, I LEAVE MY KEY IN THE TRUCK AND USE THE KEYPAD FEATURE AS TO AVOID CARRYING EVERYTHING WITH ME. I PUSHED DOWN THE LOCKING ROD, SHUT THE DOOR AND WENT ON MY JOG. WHEN I RETURNED, I ENTERED IN MY CODE, I HEARD AN UNLOCKING NOISE (TURNED OUT TO JUST BE MY TAILGATE), BUT I COULD NOT OPEN MY DOOR. I TRIED AGAIN, BUT AGAIN WAS UNABLE TO OPEN MY DOOR. I TRIED MY OTHER DOORS, NO LUCK. I WAS STUCK WITHOUT KEYS, WALLET, PHONE (IN MY TRUCK). I HAD TO FIND A RIDE HOME TO GET MY OTHER KEY TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR. I ENDED UP MISSING THE REST OF WORK, EVEN MISSED AN IMPORTANT MEETING. THIS LAST HAPPENED WITH MY SON IN THE BACK SEAT, WHERE HE WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE, AND I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM OUTSIDE, AND THIS SIMPLY GOT MY IMAGINATION RUNNING TO THE POTENTIAL SAFETY RISK. IT IS NOW AT A DEALER WHO CANNOT DUPLICATE, SO NO FIX. THIS ALL NOT TO MENTION THE INCH OF WATER I HAD AT MY FEET WHEN IT LEAKED, OR THE LOOSE PART IN THE DRIVER DOOR KNOCKING AROUND THAT THEY "CANT" DUPLICATE. MAJOR QC CONCERN.

THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THE PROBLEM WAS WHEN I WENT TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE. I DID A HARD ACCELERATION TO PASS AND MY 2015 F150 3.5 ECOBOOST ENGINE STALLED IN THE PASSING LANE ON A 2 LANE HIGHWAY. I WAS DOING 45 MPH. I IMMEDIATELY GOT BACK INTO MY LANE BEHIND THE VEHICLE I WAS PASSING. AFTER THAT INCIDENT I HAVE OCCASIONALLY ACCELERATED HARD TO SEE IF THE ENGINE WOULD STALL. SOMETIMES IT WOULD STALL AND SOMETIMES IT WOULD NOT. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE FORD DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE PACK BUT IT STILL STALLS. THEY ARE AT A LOSS ON WHAT IS CAUSING THIS ERRATIC ACCELERATION PROBLEM. THEY SAY THEY HAVE NOT HAD ANY SERVICE BULLETINS FROM FORD RELATING TO THIS. THIS HAPPENED NOT LONG AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WITH LESS THAN 2000 MILES ON IT. I NOW HAVE 18000 MILES ON IT AND THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE I BOUGHT IT. THE DEALER AND I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO SEE IF FORD WILL OFFER A SOLUTION BUT SO FAR THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 827.
IN TEMPERATURES UNDER FREEZING, THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT AND REAR DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. WAS ONLY ABLE TO OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. AFTER OPENING FROM THE INSIDE, THE DOORS WOULD NOT CLOSE AND SECURE SHUT. NEED TO HOLD THE DOOR IN ORDER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE POTENTIAL FOR THE DOOR TO OPEN WHILE DRIVING IS POSSIBLE AS THE DRIVER MAY NOT BE AWARE!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE QUALITY AS THIS IS A BIG SAFETY PROBLEM SECONDLY, AS A RESULT OF THE FROZEN DOORS, THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT AND REAR DOOR LOCKS WILL NOT FUNCTION... MY WIFE TOOK A VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM WITH HER PHONE. BY THE TIME WE ARRIVED IN RALEIGH, NC, THE DASH MOUNTED SPEEDOMETER WAS CLOSE TO 100 MPH. WE PARKED FOR SEVERAL HOURS WHILE ATTENDING A MEETING WITH THE SENATOR. ON THE WAY HOME AND HEADING BACK NORTH ON ROUTE 17, THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED DROPPING BACK. I HEARD HIM LOCK UP HIS BRAKES AND SLAM INTO THE BACK OF MY TRUCK PUSHING ME 15 TO 20FT SLAMMING ME INTO THE SUV IN FRONT OF ME HITTING ME AT DEAD STOP SQUARE ON IN THE BACK DRIVING ME SQUARE ON INTO VEHICLE INFRONT OF ME, NO AIRBAG EVER DEPLOYED I WAS THRUST AGIANST THE STEERING WHEEL IN A SNAPPING ACTION. THE IMPACT WAS SO FORCEFULL IT MOVED THE SUPERCREW BACK SEAT FROM THE DOWN POSITION TO THE FULL UPRIGHT AND LOCKED IN PLACE POSITION AGIANST THE BACK OF THE CAB. THE TRUCK WAS ONLY 6 DAYS OLD WITH 370 MILES ON IT. WITH THAT IMPACT FRONT AND BACK I WOULD THINK AIRBAGS WOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. THE FORCE OF THE IMPACT BENT THE FRAME DOWN IN THE BACK AND BENT THE FRAME UP IN THE FRONT SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURES.

TSB WORK WAS DONE BY MARYSVILLE FORD IN MARYSVILLE, WA ON 12-2-2015. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND KEPT FOR 2 MORE DAYS ON JANUARY 12 2016. SERVICE DEPARTMENT CAN NOT REPLICATE PROBLEM IN HEATED SHOP. SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THEY CONTACTED THE FORD SERVICE HOTLINE AND WAS TOLD THERE IS NO FIX AT THIS TIME. AT THIS TIME I AM NOT ABLE TO FULLY USE MY VEHICLE IN BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR DRIVER AND PASSENGERS. CAN NOT LATCH DOOR TO DRIVE VEHICLE AND IF IN AN ACCIDENT THE LOCKS WOULD NOT RELEASE TRAPPING PASSENGERS INSIDE THE VEHICLE. FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND PROVIDE A RECALL IMMEDIATELY.

ON MONDAY, JANUARY 11 2016 MY TRUCK HAD BEEN STARTED USING THE REMOTE START AND RAN FOR 10+ MINUTES (HEAT ON),WHEN I ENTERED MY TRUCK AND BEGAN BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, I NOTICED THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT WAS ON ALONG WITH ALL OVERHEAD LIGHTS, THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS STILL AJAR AND WOULD NOT LATCH. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPT TO CLOSE THE DOOR IT ONLY LATCHED AFTER THE TRUCK WARMED UP. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE AT THE TIME WAS 27 DEGREES, AND TRUCK HAD NOT BEEN EXPOSED TO RAIN OR WASHED IN FIVE DAYS. AFRER RESEARCHING ONLINE AND MANY FORUMS, I HAVE NOTICED THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED ON F150'S MANUFACTURED IN 2015. HOWEVER, WHEN I CALLED FORD MOTOR CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY ADVISED ACCORDING TO THEIR RECORDS THEY HAVE NO ISSUES FOR MY F150 WHICH WAS MANUFACTURED IN AUGUST 2015. DEALER WANTS THE TRUCK BROUGHT IN AND LEFT WITH THEM , I AM NOT A FAN OF SPRAYING A LUBE ON DOOR LATCH AND CLAIMING IT'S FIXED. ONCE I GOT TO WORK (30 MILE DRIVE) THE DOOR BEGAN TO LATCH AGAIN... THIS PUT ME IN A SAFETY RISK AND IT IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THE NEW F150'S FROM READING THE FORUM COMMUNITY. PLEASE HELP GET FORD TO FIX IT. THE DEALER JUST WANTED TO SPRAY LUBE EXTERNALLY ON THE DOOR MECHANISM WHICH DOES NOTHING.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD TELLING ME TO BRING THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL REPROGRAMMED. I DID HAVE THIS WORK DONE. AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE I HAD AN INCIDENT WHERE I WAS PASSING AN 18 WHEELER AND THE TRUCK SET OFF THE COLLISION WARNING ALARM AND APPLIED THE BRAKES HARD. IF SOMEONE WAS FOLLOWING CLOSELY IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A COLLISION. THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC IN MY LANE FOR AT LEAST 1/4 MILE AHEAD. FORD HAS NOT BEEN HELPFUL IN RESOLVING THIS ISSUE AND THEIR ONLY SUGGESTION IS TO TURN OFF THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR WHAT I FEEL IS AN IMPORTANT AND USEFUL SAFETY FEATURE AND WANT FORD TO FIX THE SYSTEM SO IT WILL NOT MALFUNCTION AND POSSIBLY CAUSE A REAR END COLLISION.

DURING TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING (32 F) ONE OR MORE OF THE DOOR LOCKS AND/OR LATCHES WILL FREEZE AND BECOME INOPERABLE. POWER LOCK BUTTONS WILL NOT FUNCTION TO UNLOCK THE DOOR AND DOOR HANDLES WILL NOT OPEN THE DOORS (FROM THE OUTSIDE). DOORS HAVE TO BE UNLOCKED FROM THE INSIDE, BY MANUALLY CYCLING THE PULL KNOB MULTIPLE TIMES TO LOOSEN THE FROZEN LOCK. FROZEN DOOR LATCHES ARE ONLY ABLE TO BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE (USING THE INSIDE HANDLES). AT TIMES, THE FROZEN DOOR LOCKS AND LATCHES WILL NOT RE-SECURE THE DOORS AND THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK OR THE LATCH WILL NOT SECURE AND THE DOOR WILL REMAIN UNSECURED/OPEN AND/OR UNLOCKED. SPOKE TO DEALER ABOUT THIS ISSUE IN FEB. 2016 AND WAS ADVISED THAT FORD ISSUED A TEMPORARY FIX FOR THE ISSUE AND A PERMANENT FIX WOULD BE COMING IN THE NEXT 90 DAYS. CHECKED BACK WITH THE DEALER IN THE END OF MAY 2016 - WAS ADVISED THAT FORD STILL HAS NOT ISSUED A PERMANENT FIX FOR THE DOOR LOCK/LATCH ISSUE AND THEY COULD GIVE ME NO FURTHER INFORMATION - OTHER THAN THE TEMPORARY FIX THAT FORD ISSUED OVER THE WINTER ONLY SEEMED TO BE A PARTIAL SOLUTION AND WAS NOT A PERMANENT FIX. I FIND THIS TO BE A SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM AND DEFECT FOR ANY NEW FORD F150 BEING DRIVEN IN A NORTHERN CLIMATE. HAVING DOORS THAT ARE UNABLE TO BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE PRESENTS A SAFETY ISSUE AS WELL AS HAVING DOOR LOCKS THAT ARE FROZEN SHUT AND HAVE TO BE MANUALLY MANIPULATED FROM THE INSIDE IN ORDER TO RELEASE THE LOCK. ADDITIONALLY, THE FACT THAT THE DOORS AND LOCKS MAY NOT RE-SECURE THE DOOR WHEN CLOSED, LEAVES YOU NOT KNOWING IF YOU VEHICLE IS LOCKED OR IF YOUR DOORS WILL COME OPEN WHILE DRIVING. IN ADDITION TO BEING EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, THIS IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY ISSUE FOR OWNERS OF NEW F150'S AS THE DOORS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE OPENED OR UNLOCKED DURING BELOW FREEZING TEMP.'S. THE TRUCK IS NOW ONE YEAR OLD AND STILL NO FIX/SOLUTION FROM FORD.
