I PURCHASED A 2015 IN AUGUST 2015. I TOOK THIS INTO THE DEALER 2 WEEKS AGO AS THE WASHER FLUID PUMP WOULD NOT WORK. I WAS TOLD THAT THE WASHER PUMP MOTOR NEEDED REPLACING. HOWEVER, THEY COULD NOT TELL ME WHEN THIS WOULD BE FIXED. APPARENTLY THE WASHER PUMP IS ON BACKORDER. I WAS TOLD TO USE A "LONG SQUEEGEE" IN THE MEAN TIME. HOWEVER, NOT BEING ABLE TO USE THE WASHER FLUID GREATLY AFFECTS VISIBILITY IN MY STATE (WV) IN JANUARY WITH THE USE OF ROAD SALT. IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS TODAY AND I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN UPDATED ON WHEN THEY MAY BE ABLE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.
DRIVER'S DOOR, NOT SECURING WHEN TEMPERATURE IS BELOW FREEZING CAN BE OPENED, BUT THE LATCH IN THE DOOR FAILS TO SECURE THE DOOR. THIS OCCURRED THREE TIMES TO ME SO FAR, RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND THEY PUT MORE LUBE IN THE MECHANISM. WHEN THE TRUCK WARMS UP(INTERIOR HEATER FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES) THE DOOR CAN BE SECURED. HAPPENED EVEN WHEN WE HAVEN'T HAD RAIN FOR FOUR DAYS AND THE TRUCK WAS NOT WASHED. I SEE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM POSTED ON F150 FORUMS. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN THIS OCCURRED BUT WAS BEING DRIVEN TO THE DEALER WITH UNSECURED DRIVERS DOOR.
VEHICLE HAS A ELECTRIC COMPONET THAT CONTROLS RACKEET PINION UNIT .WHEN DRIVING VEHICLE DRIFTTS TO RIGHT AND LEFT ,WORSE IF I TAKE HANDS OFF STEERING WHEEL NOT OT OF ALIGNMENT DOUBLE CHECKED WITH FIRESTONE MECHANIC DROVE AND CHECKED STEERING STEERIING UNIT OVER COMPENSATING. FORD DEALER CANT REPAIR TOLD THEY HAVE A FLYER THIS IS SUPPOSE TO HAPPENING ONLY 1200 MILES ON VEHICLE PURCHASED DEC, 2015 ALL TEST DONE ON FLAT SURFACE GENERAL MANAGER EVAN DROVE VEHICLE AFTER FIRESTONE MECHANIC REPORT.

The vehicle was repaired but experienced the same failure in July 2023. The contact took the vehicle to back the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the throttle body to be replaced a third time. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ALARM UNEXPECTEDLY SOUNDED AND THE DOOR AJAR WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DOORS HAVE TO BE UNLOCKED AND THEN LOCKED AGAIN FOR THE ALARM TO GO OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MURRAY'S FORD LINCOLN (3007 BLINKER PKWY, DUBOIS, PA 15801, (800) 371-6601) AND REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V652000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE REPAIR FAILED TO REMEDY THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
MY 2015 FORD F150 TRUCK HAS INOPERATIVE FROZEN DOOR LATCHES.I HAVE WAITED 6-8 WEEKS FOR THE PARTS TO COME IN. IVE HAD MANY OCCASIONS IVE HAD TO BUNGEE MY DOOR SOMEWHAT CLOSED TO GET MY FAMILY HOME.I CANNOT GET INTO MY TRUCK AND WHEN I DO I CANNOT GET THE DOOR TO SHUT BECAUSE OF THE INOPERATIVE DOOR LATCHES. I HAD IT AT A FORD DEALERSHIP FOR A FROZEN DOOR LATCH, INOPERATIVE TSB (16-0155) ON 1/6/17. ON 1/7/17 I WENT OUT TO MY TRUCK AND I CANNOT GET INTO IT EVEN WITH THE TSB WORK DONE THE DAY BEFORE. THEY REPLACED SOME UPDATED PARTS AND CLEANED AND LUBED THE LATCHES.I ALSO HAVE WINDOWS THAT FREEZE SHUT WITH NO SNOW OR ICE HOLDING THEM SHUT. THESE ARE MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES ! I HAVE A FEW VIDEO RECORDINGS OF ME TRYING TO GET INTO MY TRUCK WITH NO LUCK AND HAVE STOPPED TO MY DEALER WITH A BUGEE HOLDING THE PASSENGER DOOR FROM OPENING WITH MY 2 YR OLD SON IN THE BACK. IVE BEEN DEALING WITH THESE PROBLEMS SINCE NEW.
AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 32 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT, THE DOOR LOCKS AND LOCK MECHANISMS WILL INTERMITTENTLY FREEZE IN AN OPENED OR CLOSED POSITION. AT TIMES, DOORS WILL NOT STAY SHUT WHEN ATTEMPTS ARE MADE TO CLOSE THEM FROM THE INSIDE; THIS OCCURS ON ALL 4 DOORS. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, THE DOORS HAVE OPENED, REQUIRING THE PASSENGER AND/OR DRIVER TO PHYSICALLY HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN INSPECTED BY THE LOCAL FORD DEALER, HOWEVER THEY STATED THAT FORD HAS NOT RELEASED A RELIABLE REMEDY FOR THE PROBLEM. OTHER CUSTOMERS HAD THEIR VEHICLES IN REPAIR FOR THE SAME REASON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE PULLING INTO A HANDICAPPED PARKING SPOT, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE POLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED BACK AND LEG INJURIES. THE PASSENGER ALSO RECEIVED BACK INJURIES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND LATER TO THE BODY SHOP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BUMPER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE FRONT END NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,100.
AS SOON AS I TOOK DELIVERY OF MY NEW 2015 FORD F-150, I NOTICED THE STEERING WANTED TO PULL TO THE LEFT. THIS OCCURRED IN ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS AND REQUIRED KEEPING SOME "RIGHT" PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO MAKE THE TRUCK GO STRAIGHT. ROAD CONDITIONS, WEATHER CONDITIONS AND VEHICLE SPEEDS ARE NOT A FACTOR. I HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON THREE OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST YEAR FOR THIS AND A COUPLE OF OTHER ISSUES. ON ONLY ONE OCCASION DID THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ACTUALLY WRITE UP THE STEERING ISSUE ON THE WORK ORDER BECAUSE THEY TALKED ME INTO PURCHASING SOME SORT OF "KIT" THAT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. I BROUGHT UP THE IDEA THAT IF A "KIT" WAS REQUIRED TO FIX THE PROBLEM, WHY WOULD IT NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY, BUT THEY DISMISSED THAT IDEA AND I WENT AHEAD A PAID FOR THE "KIT" ($300) AND A REALIGNMENT OF THE FRONT END ($80). I FIGURED IF THIS WOULD SOLVE THE STEERING ISSUE, WHICH I FELT WAS A SAFETY PROBLEM, I WOULD GO AHEAD AND PAY THE MONEY AND HAVE DONE WITH IT. END RESULT: THE TRUCK NOW STILL PULLS TO THE LEFT ABOUT 40% OF THE TIME, PULLS TO THE RIGHT ABOUT 10% OF THE TIME AND ACTUALLY GOES FAIRLY STRAIGHT THE REST OF THE TIME. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH TURNING CORNERS OR EVEN CHANGING LANES CAN CAUSE THE STEERING TO CHANGE FROM PULLING TO THE LEFT TO PULLING TO THE RIGHT OR MAYBE EVEN GOING STRAIGHT. I WANT TO ADD THAT THE "PULLING" IS NOT SEVERE (MORE LIKE DRIFTING), BUT IT IS BOTHERSOME AND CAUSES ME TO HAVE A GOOD DEAL OF CONCERN. I HAVE OWNED MANY VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS, BUT NEVER HAD ONE WITH THIS SORT OF A STEERING ISSUE. *TR

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was determined that the oil pan needed to be resealed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted, and informed the contact that there was no recall or warranty coverage on the vehicle for the repair. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 3,472.
THIS VEHICLE HAS THE 'STOP/START FEATURE;' WHICH ACTUALLY SHUTS OFF THE ENGINE WHEN AT A STOP AND IS SUPPOSED TO 'RESTART' WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED; THE 'ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS' ARE SUPPOSED TO BE OPERATIVE; HOW POWER BRAKES ARE 'ELECTRICALLY OPERATED' IS BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION; HOWEVER, A FEW DAYS AFTER PURCHASE I WAS AT A STOP LITE WHEN THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, AND EVENTUALLY RE-STARTED' BY ITSELF; THE DEALER SALES STAFF NEVER INFORMED ME OF THIS 'FEATURE,' AND ALSO DID NOT TELL ME THERE WAS AN 'OVERRIDE SWITCH ON THE DASH; THE FACT THAT I DID NOT OVERRIDE IT, AND THAT THE ENGINE DID NOT RESTART WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, TO ME MEANS THAT THIS 'FEATURE' IS, ON THIS VEHICLE, INOPERATIVE, AND THEREFORE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING; MY WIFE REFUSES TO DRIVE IT, AND IT WAS TOWED IN TO THE DEALER ON 12/21/15, WHERE IT REMAINS; I REFUSE TO DRIVE IT AS WELL; LASTLY, THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED NO 'STOP/START FEATURE' UPON A PRE-PURCHASE TEST DRIVE WITH THE SALESMAN IN WHICH WE MADE NUMEROUS 'STOPS' AND A FRIEND OF MINE WAS WITH ME ON THAT TEST DRIVE, WHO WILL ATTEST TO THIS FACT; LIKEWISE, IT DID NOT HAVE ANY 'PROBLEMS' UNTIL ALMOST THREE WEEKS LATER, DURING WHICH TIME I DROVE THE VEHICLE DAILY.
GETTING ON THE INTERSTATE WITH MY DAUGHTER AND WIFE IN TRUCK AND THE GAS PEDAL IS STUCK, THERE WAS NO WHERE TO PULL OVER SO I TOOK THE NEXT EXIT AND PUT TRUCK IN N AND SHUT IT OFF. THIS WAS AT 4000 MILES. CALLED DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THEY REALLY COULDN'T HELP BECAUSE THERE WAS NO CODE. THEN A FEW MONTHS LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON THE HIGHWAY, THIS TIME WE COULD PULL OVER AND MY WIFE VIDEO TAPED IT AND TOOK BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND DEMANDED SOMETHING BE DONE. THEY REPLACED THE GAS PEDAL IN HOPES THAT IT WORKS. THIS HAPPENED AT 8000 MILES. ALSO THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR DOESN'T LATCH IN FREEZING TEMPS. THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T FIND A PROBLEM SO IT WAS NOT FIXED.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE PUSH START BUTTON WAS TOUCHED AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE STILL IN DRIVE, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TESTED THE FAILURE AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL NEEDED TO REPROGRAMMED AND FURTHER INSPECTION WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
SINCE PURCHASED, THE WINDSHIELD WASHERS FREEZE MAKING FOR UNSAFE DRIVING EVERY WINTER ANYTIME THE TEMP GETS BELOW 32. THIS CREATES AN EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITION. UNACCEPTABLE WHEN YOU HAVE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND KEEP THROWING SNOW ON THE WINDSHIELD TO CLEAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO IPSWICH FORD (105 COUNTY RD, IPSWICH, MA 01938 (978) 356-6850) SEVERAL TIMES, BUT A CAUSE OF FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. WHILE DRIVING IN EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER WITH SALT ON THE ROAD, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO OPERATE THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID, BUT THE FLUID FAILED TO DISPENSE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT DROVE INTO A SNOW BANK. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED OUT OF THE SNOW BANK AND DRIVEN HOME. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO IPSWICH FORD AND REPAIRED PER TSB 16-0082 (INOPERATIVE WINDSHIELD WASHERS-BELOW 0 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.
BOUGHT F150 IN FALL OF 2015, FIRST FEW DAYS OF COLD WEATHER MY BACK PASSENGERS DOORS WOULD NOT CLOSE. THEY JUST KEPT BOUNCING BACK AT ME. DID THAT A FEW TIMES DIDN'T THINK THAT MUCH ABOUT IT. NEXT FALL SEASON OF 2016 I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO OPEN MY REAR DOORS ON MY 55,000 VEHICLE FOR THE PAST 4 MONTHS. NOW MY TAILGATE WON'T OPEN UP EITHER! WHAT A JOKE. TOOK IT TO FORD DEALER AND TOLD ME IT WOULD BE AT LEAST 1 MONTH BEFORE PARTS WOULD COME IN THERE ON BACK ORDER! SO FORD KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SALESMAN OFFERED ME SOME ROPE TO TIE THE DOORS SHUT SO THEY WOULDN'T OPEN UP!!!!!!!! HOW ABOUT THAT FOR A SAFETY CONCERN. $55,000 VEHICLE AND THEY OFFER ME ROPE TO KEEP MY DOORS CLOSED. I CAN'T PUT ME KIDS ON THE TRUCK CAN'T USE MY VEHICLE FOR WAYS I INTENDED FOR THE PAST 5 MONTHS YET I KEEP PAYING MY PAYMENTS OF THIS. WHAT A JOKE. JUST TRIED TO OPEN MY TAILGATE YESTERDAY AND THE LOCK MECHANISM ISN'T EVEN TRIGGERING THE LOCK IN THE TAILGATE, ITS SEIZED UP CAN'T USE THAT NOW EITHER. SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
MY TRUCK HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 4 TIMES BEFORE OF DRIFTING TO THE RIGHT. I PURCHASED LAST MONTH DEC 2015 THE FIRST TIME THE REALIGNED IT, THE SECOND CROSS ROTATED AND REALIGNED, THIRD THEY SAID THE PUT IT IN A LEARNING MODE AND THE FOURTH THEY CHANGED OUT THE STEERING MECHANISM. I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM HAVING TO MAINTAIN PRESSURE TO THE LEFT AND WHEN I LET GO IT GOES TO THE RIGHT.
NEW 2015 F150 WITH A VIBRATION/ SHUDDER COMING FROM WHAT FEELS LIKE THE TRANSFER CASE OR POSSIBLY THE DRIVE SHAFT. HAPPENS WHEN TRYING TO SHIFT FROM GEAR TO GEAR, AND ON INCLINES...FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL. ALSO HAPPENS WHEN JUST CRUISING AT CERTAIN SPEEDS. I'VE HAD IT TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY SAY EVERYTHING IS FINE BUT THEY HAVE FELT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AND ONES ON THEIR LOT. VIBRATION COULD LEAD TO MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM AND ACTUALLY STALL THE VEHICLE WHILE IN TRAFFIC.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH MY TRANSMISSION, WHERE IT SHIFTS ROUGH OR DOES NOT SHIFT APPROPRIATELY. WHEN THE TRUCK SHIFTS ROUGH, I BARELY HAVE MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR, WHERE IT WILL SLAM INTO GEAR CAUSING THE TRUCK TO JOLT. I ALSO HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE TRUCK FAILING TO DOWNSHIFT OUT OF 4TH GEAR WHILE GOING UPHILLS. WHILE GOING UPHILLS, THE RPMS WILL GO BELOW 1000, WHERE THE TRUCK WILL BEGIN TO SHUTTER AS IF IT IS GOING TO STALL. YOU ARE FORCED TO PRESS THE ACCELERATOR IN ORDER FOR IT TO SHIFT, WHERE THE RPMS/TURBO BOOSTER WILL SOAR. I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THIS CONCERN, WHERE THEY PERFORMED A SOFTWARE UPDATE AND IT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. I FEEL THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING ROUGH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT, IF THE ENGINE IN FACT STALLS AND YOU LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I ALSO FEEL BEING FORCED TO ACCELERATE COULD CAUSE YOU TO STRIKE THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU OR LOSE CONTROL IT THIS OCCURS WHILE NEGOTIATING A TURN ETC. THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF ALLOWS WATER TO PASS THE RUBBER SEAL AND DRAIN INTO THE WATER TRACK. I FREQUENTLY HAVE HAD THE WINDOWS FOG UP FROM MOISTURE INSIDE THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AND THE ODOR OF MOLD. IF YOU GOOGLE "2015 FORD F-150 SUNROOF LEAKS", YOU WILL FIND 1000'S OF CONCERNED FORD OWNERS ON FORUMS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES, WHERE FORD STATES IT IS NORMAL FOR THE SUNROOF TO LEAK PAST THE SEAL. I FEEL THE SUNROOF IS A HEALTH CONCERN, AS I BELIEVE MOLD MAY BE GROWING IN THE TRUCK AND IS BEING BREATHED IN. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE SEAT BACK GETTING EXTREMELY HOT WHILE USING THE "COOLED SEAT" FEATURE. I FEEL THIS COULD CAUSE A BURN OR FIRE HAZARD.
WINDSHIELD WASHER DOES NOT WORK AS SOON AS ANY DIRT BUGS ETC OBSCURE VISION I MUST STOP AND CLEAN WINDSHIELD WITH WATER I CARRY INSIDE. THIS BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT IN HIGH TRAFFIC SITUATIONS. IT HAS BEEN LIKE THIS SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FORD SAYS THE PART IS UNDER REDESIGN AND NO DATE IS AVAILABLE YET FOR A FIX, IT HAS BEEN FOR OVER 2-3 MONTHS, YET THEY CONTINUE TO SELL NEW F-150S. ARE THEY WAITING FOR A LARGE NUMBER OF BAD ACCIDENTS BEFORE THEY REMEDY THE PROBLEM?
IN BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN BOTH OF MY REAR DOORS FROM THE INSIDE OR OUT. I HAD TO CRAWL OVER THE SEAT AND MANUAL UNLOCK THE DOOR. I AM CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY YOUNG CHILD SHOULD THE DOORS FAIL AND I NEED TO REMOVE HER IN AN EMERGENCY.
NOV 30, 2015: WHILE TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE I-64, NORFOLK, VA. DURING A HEAVY RAIN STORM, BOTH WIPER BLADES STOPPED IN THE VERTICAL POSITION. I TRIED TO TURN THE WIPERS OFF AND ATTEMPTED VARIOUS OTHER SETTING BUT THE WIPERS REMAINED STATIONARY IN THE VERTICAL POSITION. DEC. 2, 2015, DEALER REPLACED THE WIPER MOTOR TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

ACCIDENT NOV. 17, 2015 - SOMEONE RAN A RED LIGHT AND TURNED IN FROM OF US - DAMAGE TO BUMPER, GRILL, SEEMED RATHER LIGHT, BUT "RAILS" WERE DAMAGED. PARTS UNAVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. LOCAL DEALER HAS HAD OUR TRUCK FOR 50 DAYS NOW- MORE THAN WE'VE HAD IT. PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN AND NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT ALL PARTS ARE GOING TO PRODUCTION, AND WAS EVEN TOLD THAT THERE AREN'T ANY NOW FOR PRODUCTION BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER OF THIS PARTICULAR PART MADE THEM WRONG AND HAD TO RE-MAKE THE ORDER. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS ANOTHER VEHICLE THERE THAT HAS BEEN WAITING 3-4 MONTHS FOR PARTS! I NEED MY TRUCK BACK AND CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG FOR REPAIRS THAT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN 2 WEEKS, MAX. IF FORD IS WILLING TO SELL ME A VEHICLE (OVER $45,000) THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE A SYSTEM IN PLACE TO GET EVEN THE LESS FREQUENTLY NEEDED PARTS WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED. I WANT A REPLACEMENT F-150 SINCE THEY ARE UNWILLING TO PROVIDE THE NEEDED REPLACEMENT PARTS. THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS PAYING FOR A RENTAL CAR, BUT IT'S A COMPACT, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, AND IT CERTAINLY CAN'T TOW THE TRAVEL TRAILER THAT WE USE AT LEAST EVERY OTHER WEEKEND. WE HAVE ALREADY MISSED 4 TRIPS AND WHO KNOWS WHEN WE'LL GET OUR TRUCK BACK. WE ARE A ONE-VEHICLE, VERY ACTIVE FAMILY, SO THIS HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE INCONVENIENCE FOR US. FORD OWES US A NEW F-150! STRESS CRACK FROM PASSENGER A PILLAR RUNNING TOWARDS THE DRIVER'S SIDE ABOUT 5 INCHES AND THEN DOWN TOWARDS THE COWL ABOUT 7 INCHES. I WAS P2232REVIOUSLY PLANT MANAGER AT THE FORD NASHVILLE GLASS PLANT WHERE W/S WAS MADE AND THIS IS THE RESULT OF HIGH RESIDUAL THERMAL STRESS. FORD WARRANTY REFUSES AFTER 4 SUBMISSIONS FORM THE SPRADLEY BARR (FORT COLLINS, CO) DEALERSHIP. I SAW TWO MORE VEHICLES WITH THE SAME TYPE OF STRESS CRACK IN THE LOT, BOTH 2015 USED AS LOANER CARS.
TOTAL LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING. AT 3022 MILES THE ENGINE CUT OFF WHILE AT 40-50MPH. A SMART DATA LINK WAS REPLACED. AT 3619 MILES THE ENGINE CUT OFF AGAIN WHILE ACCELERATING AT 40-50 MPH. BOTH INCIDENTS HAPPENED WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF STARTING THE ENGINE. SEVERAL ALERTS POP UP ON THE SCREEN TO INCLUDE LOSS OF BRAKING, HILL ASSIST, AND SERVICE ENGINE. FIRST REPAIR WAS FOR 10 DAYS. CURRENT REPAIR IS 3 DAYS AND COUNTING. CURRENTLY I AM AWARE OF ANOTHER F150 WITH THE ECOBOOST 2.7 ENGINE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO FIX.
PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE ON NOV 12 2015. THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL ISSUED FOR THIS VEHICLE IN MAY 2015 CONCERNING UPPER INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT RIVETS NOT STAKED PROPERLY. THE DEALER WAS GIVEN NOTICE BY FORD IN MAY 2015 THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER RECALL AND THE VEHICLE WAS ON THEIR LOT UNTIL NOV 12 2015. THE DEALER DID NOT INSPECT OR REPAIR THE PROBLEM BEFORE SELLING THE VEHICLE TO ME, NEVER MENTIONED A RECALL. I DID NOT RECEIVE THE INITIAL RECALL NOTICE SENT IN MAY OF 2015 BECAUSE I DID NOT OWN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME. I RECEIVED A REMINDER NOTICE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY SEPT 2016 THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. IS IT NOT A FEDERAL VIOLATION TO SELL A VEHICLE THAT IS UNDER A SAFETY RECALL AND NOT REPAIRED? I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE FOR 11 MONTHS. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT OCT 11 2016 FOR REPAIRS AT A DIFFERENT DEALER.

NEW 2015 F150, ACCELERATES AND DECELERATES ON ITS OWN. BRAKES CREATE LOUD NOISE. WIRING HARNESS AS IT RELATES TO THE SHIFTING OF THE TRUCK WAS REPLACED WITHIN THE FIRST SIX MONTHS AS WELL. AUTO OFF FREQUENTLY REFUSES TO RESTART. LOSS OF COMPLETE POWER ON HIGHWAY.
I PREVIOUSLY REPORTED THAT MY VEHICLE HAD REPEATED EXPERIENCED IMPROPER ACTIVATION OF THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (AND SOMETIME COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM) AND SUDDEN BRAKING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN PASSING CERTAIN LARGE TRUCKS. RECENTLY FORD NOTIFIED ME OF THEIR (SAFTEY RECALL) FIELD SERVICE ACTION NUMBER: 15S29 AND ON 5 NOVEMBER 2015 I TOOK MY TRUCK TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER WHERE THEY PERFORMED THE WORK FOR RECALL 15S29. I TOOK MY FIRST INTERSTATE TRIP FOLLOWING THE REPAIR ON 9 NOVEMBER, A TOTAL DISTANCE OF 74 MILES, DURING THIS TRIP THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AGAIN ACTIVATED MY BRAKES ONE TIME UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE PASSING A LARGE TRUCK. THE SAFETY RECALL REPAIR HAS NOT SOLVED THE PROBLEM WITH MY TRUCK.
THE TRUCK'S ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM WOULD BRAKE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I HAD THE ISSUED SAFETY RECALL PERFORMED ON THE TRUCK NOV 2, 2015. THE DEALERSHIP REPORT SAID THAT THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED AND WORKING PROPERLY. THAT EVENING THE TRUCK AGAIN STARTED BREAKING FOR NO REASON. I HAD INSTALLED A DASH CAM THE SATURDAY PRIOR TO THE RECALL REPAIR. I HAVE VIDEO FOOTAGE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK THAT CAUSED IT TO APPLY THE BREAKS. I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 51MPH, THE 2 DISTANCE SPACING, AND THE TRUCK SLOWED IT SELF DOWN TO 39 MPH THEN SPED BACK UP AGAIN. I KNOW I CANNOT ATTACH A VIDEO TO THIS REPORT, BUT I AM HAVE IT AVAILABLE TO EMAIL.
DURING BELOW FREEZING CONDITIONS DRIVERS DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE, WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK. FORD HAS ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN, TSB 15-0052, BUT THE FORD SERVICE DEPT. SAYS IT DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. NOT REALLY SAFE DRIVING THE TRUCK WITH ONE ARM HOLDING THE DOOR CLOSED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS OF THE YEAR. FORD SERVICE CLAIMS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO UNLESS FORD ISSUES A RECALL ACTION WITH A REAL FIX. *TR
I am the original owner and from the start of ownership in 2015 I noticed after 30 plus minutes of driving when making a sweeping left turn, like around an S turn in a road, the steering wheel would have resistance. At the point of resistance if I go back to the right it is smooth. Try to turn left and again it near hangs up. Just a notable amount of resistance. I had the extended warranty and have my truck regularly serviced by the local Ford shop. They could never duplicate my concerns over the years. I suspect they are not driving it long enough and/or not making a seeping turn. I do have concerns that the steering box will lock up and thus result in a serious accident. I had the intermediate shaft replaced, no difference. Ball joints inspected, all good. I always have fresh tires on and the brakes are in top condition with new rotors. Still hangs up. My research points to the gear box which is a very costly repair. My vehicle is now out of warranty. I have never taken my vehicle off road. There are enough online reviews regarding this issue that I believe Ford should recall and put new steering boxes in at no cost to the owner.
MY 2015 FORD F150 PLATINUM HAS A PROBLEM THAT IT KEEPS TELLING THE DRIVER TO PUT THEIR HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHERE ON THE STEERING WHEEL THE DRIVER PUTS THEIR HANDS, IF IT IS ONE HAND OR BOTH HANDS, THE ERRORS KEEP POPPING UP ON THE SCREEN AND CAUSING A ALARM BELL TO SOUND. TO MAKE THE ALARM GO OFF, YOU MUST EITHER 1) TAKE A HAND OFF THE STEERING WHEEL TO HIT AN "OK" BUTTON OR 2) SHAKE THE STEERING WHEEL LEFT/RIGHT (QUICK SWERVE). THE PROBLEM HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS, IN CITY, COUNTRY, AND INTERSTATE DRIVING. IT CAN SOMETIMES IMMEDIATELY RE-TRIGGER (WITHIN MILLISECONDS) OF HITTING THE "OK" BUTTON. NO AMOUNT OF PRESSURE HOLDING THE STEERING WHEEL MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE, AND IT DOES NOT MATTER WHERE ON THE STEERING WHEEL YOU HOLD IT, IT WILL STILL TRIGGER. IT TRIGGERS AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY, SUNNY, CLOUDY, OR DARK. I VIEW THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR TWO REASONS: 1) THE ERROR ERONOUSLY TRIGGERS A LOT WHILE DRIVING AND 2) YOU MUST IRONICALLY DO THE OPPOSITE OF THE WARNING TO MAKE THE WARNING GO AWAY, TAKE YOUR HAND OFF THE STEERING WHEEL TO HIT AN "OK" BUTTON. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN HAPPENING ON MY 2015 FORD F150 PLATINUM SINCE I PURCHASED IT. MY FIRST DOCUMENTED COMPLAINT TO THE DEALER WAS THE 12TH DAY OF OWNERSHIP AT 493 MILES. I HAVE PURCHASED A CAR DVR TO RECORD THE TRUCK'S BEHAVIOR FOR THIS (AND ANOTHER) SAFETY PROBLEM. I HAVE MANY RECORDINGS OF THIS ISSUE. I HAVE HAD IT IN THE DEALER SHOP MANY TIMES, YET THEY HAVE EITHER SAID IT IS WORKING AS DESIGNED, OR THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX IT.
QUALITY CONTROL ISSUE - LOOSE SIDE-VIEW MIRRORS: THIS ISSUE IS NOT ONLY A MATTER OF QUALITY, IT RAISED A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AT THE TIME. AS I WAS DRIVING AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP (AFTER PURCHASING THIS NEW TRUCK) AND INCREASED MY SPEED TO OVER 55 MPH, I NOTICED BOTH OF MY SIDE-VIEW MIRRORS VIBRATING SEVERELY. THEY VIBRATED SO BADLY THAT THE IMAGES IN THE MIRRORS THEMSELVES WERE OBSCURED TO THE POINT THAT THE VEHICLES BEHIND ME WERE MERE BLURS. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO HAVE A PROBLEM ASSESSED THE VERY NEXT DAY. DESPITE ALL OF OUR EFFORTS TO RESET THE MIRRORS, IT TURNED OUT THAT BOTH UNITS WERE MISSING SOMETHING CALLED A "TENSIONER," OR "TENSION SPRING." THE SIDE-VIEW MIRRORS WERE SO LOOSE THAT YOU COULD WALK UP TO THE TRUCK AND LITERALLY SHAKE THEM BACK-AND-FORTH (WITH A RANGE OF MOTION UP TO A 1/4") WITH ONE FINGER, EXERTING NO EFFORT AT ALL. AGAIN, THIS IS A SERIOUS QUALITY CONCERN AND SHOULD'VE BEEN IDENTIFIED AND RECONCILED PRIOR TO DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS TENSIONER COMPONENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IN BOTH MIRRORS PRIOR TO THEIR BEING ATTACHED AND CONNECTED TO THE BODY OF THE TRUCK. THIS DID NOT OCCUR AT THE FACTORY AS IT SHOULD HAVE, NOR WAS THIS ISSUE DISCOVERED DURING THE SUPPOSED QUALITY CHECKS THAT OCCUR ONCE THE VEHICLES COME OFF OF THE ASSEMBLY LINE. WHEN I CONTACTED FORD ABOUT MY CONCERNS, I ASKED THEM TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY ON THE TRUCK, BECAUSE WHO'S TO SAY THAT THERE ARE NOT MORE QUALITY-RELATED ISSUES THAT WOULD ARISE AFTER MY FACTORY WARRANTY EXPIRES (THERE WAS A SECONDARY QC-RELATED ISSUE ON THE TRUCK THAT ISN'T WORTH MENTIONING HERE EXCEPT TO SAY THAT IT WAS OBVIOUS AND INVOLVED ANOTHER MISSING PART). THE ARROGANCE I ENCOUNTERED FROM SEVERAL REPRESENTATIVES ON THE PHONE WAS BEYOND THE PALE OF ANYTHING I'VE ENCOUNTERED FROM THE COMPANY THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE IS REPUTABLE AS FORD.

IT HAS NOW DEVELOPED A WATER LEAK THAT DRIPS FROM THE SLIDING REAR WINDOW SWITCH WHICH MAY CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS AT ALL VEHICLE MODES. THIS PROBLEM STARTED 4 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN 2015 AND HAS CONTINUES TO PRESENT DAY. VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 26+K MILES. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THE WEB ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE (S).

ESCALATED EVEN FURTHER IN INCLEMENT AND NIGHT DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE SPOT MIRROR IS INTEGRATED WITH THE MAIN REARVIEW MIRROR FURTHER DISTRACTING THE DRIVER FROM THE ROAD AHEAD AS WELL AS POINTS TO THE SAME LINE OF HORIZON THAT PROVES TO BE BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER REARVIEW MIRRORS, MAKING SIDE AND REAR SAFETY CUSHION OBSERVATION INEFFECTIVE AND INEFFICIENT. MANY CITIZENS INSTALL PICK UP BED TRUCK CAPS TO PROTECT THEIR BELONGINGS. THE DESIGN OF THESE MIRRORS ALONE IS DETRIMENTAL TO SAFETY OBSERVATION. ADD IN DEFECTIVE PERFORMANCE SITS ON THE SLOPE OF RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT. WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE INDENTED SIGNALING PROGRAMED INTO THE TURN INDICATORS. THIS INDENTED FEATURE PROMOTES UNSAFE TURNING/LANE CHANGE MANEUVERS. USING THE 100 FT. RULE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE COMPLETE A SAFE LANE CHANGE AND SHARE THE ROAD WITH OTHER DRIVERS IN THE TIME ALLOTTED 3 FLASHES. THREE BEFORE , THREE DURING AND THREE AFTER IS PUSHING A LESS EXPERIENCED DRIVER. NONE THE LESS IS THE ACCEPTED COURTEOUS DRIVER RULE, NOT TO MENTION THE RULE OF LAW. AT THE VERY LEAST THIS MIRROR SHOULD HAVE A WARNING OF POOR VISUAL WHEN INSTALLING TRUCK CAP AND DEALER SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO WARN PROSPECT THEREOF. THIS HAS OCCURRED 6 TIMES AT FULL HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN PASSING BIG TRUCKS THAT ARE IN IN RIGHT LANE. IT IS A LITTLE SCARY IF SOMEONE IS TAILGATING - THE GOOD PART IS THAT USING THE ACCELERATOR WILL STOP THE BRAKING. I TOOK IT TO DEALER AND THEY WERE CLUELESS. I'VE ONLY HAD TRUCK 30 DAYS.
LATELY I HAVE BEEN DOING MORE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND I HAVE FOUND WHEN I AM BEHIND A NEW F150 THE RUNNING LIGHTS ARE VERY HARD TO SEE. ALL YOU CAN SEE FROM THE REAR OF THE CAR IS A HINT OF RED A THE BOTTOM AND TOP OF THE LIGHT, UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE CAR FROM A SIDE ANGLE THE REAR RUNNING LIGHTS ARE PRETTY MUCH USELESS. I ALMOST HIT A BLACK F150 THE OTHER DAY WHEN IT WAS RAINING HARD, BECAUSE I COULDN'T SEE ITS RUNNING LIGHTS. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY WEATHER FORD ADDS A CENTER LIGHT UNDER THE TAILGATE OR RECALLS THESE LENSES FOR SAFETY.
TRUCK SHUDDERS AS TRANSMISSION TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH ATTEMPTS TO LOCK UP IN THIRD AND FIFTH GEAR AT LIGHT THROTTLE POSITION WHEN SHIFTING UPWARD. THIS VEHICLE HAS THE 2.7L ENGINE WITH THE AUTO STOP/START FEATURE. WITH THIS FEATURE DISABLED THE ENGINE ATTEMPTS TO STALL AFTER STOPPING AS IF THE FEATURE IS TRYING TO OVERRIDE THE OFF SWITCH. AFTER COMING TO A ROLLING STOP AND THEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE INTO TRAFFIC THE ENGINE WILL BOG DOWN AND THEN A SPLIT SECOND LATER FEEL AS IF IT IS GOING TO FULL THROTTLE WITHOUT ME DEPRESSING THE THROTTLE FURTHER. THE ENGINE SPEED SURGES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO LIGHTLY ACCELERATE AND MAINTAIN SPEED WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. -FORD NEEDS TO GIVE OWNERS THE OPTION TO TURN OFF THE AUTO STOP/START PERMANENTLY. I WAS NOT INFORMED THIS FEATURE COULD NOT BE REMOVED WHEN I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE. THE DEALER ATTEMPTED TO SHUT IT OFF AND ONLY SUCCEEDED IN DISABLING THE REMOTE START FEATURE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH THE AUTO STOP/START ANNOYANCE.

IT TAKES THE TRUCK FROM 70 TO 55 OR LESS MPH WITHIN THE TIME IT TAKES ME TO REACT AND HIT THE GAS PEDAL TO STOP THE BRAKING (1 SECOND?). THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW ON MAY 29, 2015. I HAVE BEEN LUCKY SO FAR THAT NO ONE HAS BEEN CLOSE BEHIND ME WHEN IT HAS HAPPENED. THE PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED FOR MULTIPLE TYPES OF SEMI TRAILERS, BOX, TANKER, SHINY ALUMINUM, PAINTED WHITE, ETC. ONCE, IT APPEARED TO HAPPEN AS I WENT UNDER AN INTERSTATE OVER PASS (NO VEHICLES WERE ANYWHERE NEAR IN FRONT OF ME AT THE TIME). I HAVE PURCHASED A CAR DVR CAMERA, SPECIFICALLY TO TRACK THIS PROBLEM, AND A PROBLEM WHERE THE CAR VERY FREQUENTLY SAYS TO PUT MY HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL (WHILE THEY ALREADY ARE). THE CAMERA POWER CABLE HAD COME OUT (NO RECORDINGS) ON OCT 1, 2015, SO I DO NOT HAVE A RECORDING OF THE POST-RECALL HARD BRAKING EVENT. THE INTERSTATE HARD BRAKING EVENTS HAPPEN TO ME ABOUT ONCE EVERY 500 MILES (ONE TIME MANY TIMES IN SINGLE DAY). THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES TO BE A SEVERE AND SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY 2015 FORD F150 PLATINUM. THE CONSUMER REFERENCED RECALL # 15V614000. *JB

THE LOCAL DEALER DON'S FORD (5712 HORATIO ST. UTICA, NY) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE BOTH NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
FROM DAY ONE THE PASSENGER SIDE SHOULDER HARNESS PERIODICALLY WOULDN'T TAKE HOLD, FORCING PASSENGER TO SLIDE SEAT WELL BACK FROM DASHBOARD TO AVOID INJURY. IT WAS REPLACED ONCE AND IS BETTER THAN BEFORE BUT STILL OCCASIONALLY FAILS. BRAKES WERE EXTREMELY GRABBY FROM DAY ONE, BUT WE DROVE THE VEHICLE FOR 30000 MILES BEFORE TAKING IT IN DUE TO VIBRATION DURING ANY BRAKING SINCE APPROX 25000 MILES. ROTORS WERE RTURNED AND FINALLY THE VEHICLE BRAKES NORMALLY, HELPFUL BECAUSE IT IS LESS LIKELY THAT BRAKING WILL SEND PASSENGER LURCHING FORWARD WHEN FAULTY SHOULDER HARNESS WON'T HOLD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO MAKE A CLUNKING NOSE. WHEN DRIVING OVER A BUMP OR ROUGH TERRAIN, THE CONTACT FELT THE VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WOULD VEER TO THE RIGHT. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE ROTATED, AND THE CLOCKSPRING AND STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS COMMON; HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO REMEDY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F- 150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WERE NOT ALIGNED CORRECTLY. THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR FAILED TO LOCK AND LATCH CORRECTLY. WHEN CLOSED IT DOES NOT SECURE AND WIND IS FELT ENTERING THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
PICKUP CRASHED INTO SIDE OF PASSENGER CAR (T-BONE) AT 50MPH. AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY.

THE CONTACT PRESSED THE OK BUTTON TO CLEAR THE MESSAGE AND THE "BRAKE GAIN" WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF RANGE RESISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHEN USING THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, AND WHEN PASSING LARGE TRUCKS, THE F-150 SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING BRAKES AS IF IT WERE ABOUT TO CRASH, YET THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS OCCURRED THREE TIMES AT FULL HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN PASSING LARGER VEHICLES IN AN INSIDE LANE OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS. THIS SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED BRAKING HAS ALMOST CAUSED THREE ACCIDENTS AND VERY NEARLY CAUSED ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.

THE DEALER (WINNER FORD, 250 HADDONFIELD-BERLIN RD, CHERRY HILL, NJ 08034, (856) 428-4000) INDICATED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE A REMEDY PERTAINING TO THAT INFORMATION. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT HAD A WARRANTY AND THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS 14 DAYS OUTSIDE OF THE WINDOW TO RECEIVE WARRANTY SERVICE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
FRAME HAS WELDS THAT MISSED THEIR TARGET.DEALER REWELDED ONE AND IGNORED ANOTHER. THE FRAME ALSO SHOWED STREAKS OF RUST WHERE SECTION WERE OVERLAPPED. LESS THAN A MONTH OF OWNING IT, A FEW HUNDRED MILES AND NO ROAD SALT EXPOSURE.
