ENGINE BURNING OIL SHUTS DOWN MAKING NOISE IT'S BEEN HAULED IN GARAGE. FOUR TIMES IT'S A NEW PICKUP I'VE NOT HAD BUT TROUBLE OUT OF IT I WON'T IT FIXED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING IN INCLEMENT WEATHER, WATER ENTERED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING A VISIBILITY HAZARD TO THE DRIVER. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT DURING THE FAILURE THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND SIDE MIRROR REMAIN FOGGED OVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER WALKER FORD (17556 US. HWY 19 NORTH, CLEARWATER FL) WHO DIAGNOSED A FAILURE IN THE ROOF CAUSED DURING MANUFACTURING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN MY BLOCK GOT TO A STOP SIGN AS I WAS GETTING READY TO PULL UP THE TRUCK WOULD NOT MOVE. THE ENGINE WOULDN'T REV AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T SHIT. I DECIDED TO SHUT THE TRUCK OFF AND WAIT A LITTLE STILL NOTHING. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE TRUCK TO MOVE WAS IN REVERSE.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 MPH, the vehicle independently accelerated; the vehicle shuddered and stalled. The contact stated that the transmission unexpectedly downshifted. There was no warning light illuminated. The failure occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be repaired or replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,770.
FORD RECALLS 600,000-PLUS VEHICLES TO FIX BACKUP CAMERAS INCLUDED THE 2020 F-150 BUT NOT THE 2019 F-150. MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES. IN FACT THE CAMERAS HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY THE DEALER 7 TIMES AND THEY ARE STILL NOT WORKING. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE SAME RECALL AS THE 2020S
OBSERVED THAT THERE WAS A SUBSTANTIAL BODY CRACK IN THE TOP SECTION OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE 'A PILLAR' NEAR THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. THIS WAS OBSERVED WHEN DRYING THE VEHICLE AFTER WASHING IT. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.
ROUGH SHIFTING & CLUNK NOISE NOT ALL THE TIME BUT WHEN ENGINE STARTS MAKES A CLUNK NOISE. DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. ALSO ERRATIC SHIFTING AND CLUNKING IN DRIVER TRAIN AGAIN NOT ALWAYS.
VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS THAT WILL TURN ON/OFF HIGH BEAMS. THE HIGH BEAMS SHOULD TURN ON WHEN CONDITIONS AHEAD ARE ACCEPTABLE AND OFF WHEN ONCOMING TRAFFIC IS PRESENT. HOWEVER, THE AUTOMATIC SYSTEM FREQUENTLY GETS CONFUSED BY ONCOMING HEADLIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS AND STREET LIGHTS, ETC., WHICH CAUSES IT TO FLASH THE HIGH BEAMS BRIEFLY AT ONCOMING TRAFFIC. ON TWO OCCASIONS ONCOMING DRIVERS THOUGHT THIS HIGH BEAM FLASH WAS A SIGNAL TO THEM TO GO AHEAD AND THEY TURNED IN FRONT OF ME, NEARLY CAUSING AND ACCIDENT. FLASHING HIGH BEAMS BRIEFLY IS COMMONLY DONE IN OUR AREA TO SIGNAL OTHER DRIVERS TO GO AHEAD. THE AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAMS SHOULD BE REPROGRAMMED TO PREVENT FLASHING THEM AT ONCOMING TRAFFIC. NOTE THAT WE HAVE A DIFFERENT MAKE/MODEL VEHICLE WITH THE SAME TYPE OF HEADLIGHT SYSTEM THAT WORKS FLAWLESSLY WITHOUT THIS PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S ALARM FAILED TO ACTIVATE, LOCK, AND START. IN ADDITION, THE "KEY NOT DETECTED" MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PURCHASED A BATTERY FOR THE KEY FOB. THE CONTACT CALLED CECIL ATKISSION FORD LINCOLN (2700 US-90, DEL RIO, TX 78840, (830) 775-7481) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN A HIGH FREQUENCY AREA, THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,080.
THERE IS A BAD VIBERATION AT 60/70 MPH. THIS IS A $74.000 F150 LIMITED. THEY PUT TWO NEW TIRES ON AND STILL BAD. NOW THEY ARE CHECKING ALL DRIVETRAIN STILL NOTHING. THIS TRUCK ONLY HAS 700 MILES ON IT. ITS A 2019. DO NOT WANT THIS TRUCK NOW. FORD KNOWS THEY HAVE A PROBLEM. THIS IS A LOT OF MONEY FOR ME TO SPEND . I THINK THEY NEED TO BUY THIS TRUCK BACK, TO BIG A PROBLEM TO PUT UP WITH.
BRAND NEW TRUCK WITH RAIN SENSING WIPERS. RAIN SENSING FUNCTION DOES NOT WORK. FIRST TIME IT RAINED THE WIPERS WOULD NOT SWIPE TO CLEAN WINDSHIELD. THE ONLY FUNCTIONS THAT WOULD WORK WERE HI AND OFF AND WHEN YOU TURNED THE WIPERS OFF THEY WOULD STOP AT RANDOM PLACES LIKE DIRECTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GLASS. THE RAIN SENSING POSITIONS (BETWEEN HI AND OFF) WOULD MOSTLY DO NOTHING BUT OCCASIONALLY WOULD DO RANDOM THINGS, NONE OF WHICH HELPED CLEAN THE WINDSHIELD (EITHER NOT ENOUGH SWIPES IN HEAVY RAIN OR TOO MANY SWIPES WHEN IT WASN'T RAINING). THERE ARE SETTINGS IN THE SOFTWARE TO TURN THE RAIN SENSING OFF BUT IT HAD NO EFFECT. WE TOOK TRUCK TO DEALER. THEY REPLACED SWITCH ASSEMBLY FL3Z*13K359*BC. HAD NO EFFECT. WIPERS STILL ACT THE SAME. THIS, IN MY OPINION, IS A SAFETY HAZARD, BECAUSE YOU CANNOT GET THE WIPERS TO SWIPE PROPERLY WHEN NEEDED FOR ONE, AND ALSO WHEN YOU FINALLY TURN THEM OFF THEY ROUTINELY STOP DIRECTLY IN THE DRIVERS LINE OF VISION. ALSO THERE APPEARS TO BE NO MANUAL BACKUP.
I BOUGHT MY 2019 FORD F 150 4X4 SUPERCREW APPX 1 MONTH AGO FROM POMPANO FORD. I NOTICED 2 DAYS AGO THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HINGE MAKES A CRACKING NOISE WHEN OPENING / CLOSING (WHILE STATIONARY). IT SOUNDS LIKE THE HINGE IS COMING A LOOSE AND MAT PRESENT DANGER WHEN KEEPING THE DOOR CLOSED. I CANNOT TELL IF THE NOISE IS COMING FROM THE PART OF THE HINGE THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE DOOR, OR THE PART THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE BODY OF THE TRUCK. I HAVE NOT YET TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER, BUT I PLAN TO DO IT TOMORROW.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON INSPECTION IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE SIDEWALL WAS CRACKED AND SEPARATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CREST FORD FLAT ROCK LOCATED AT 22675 GIBRALTAR RD, FLAT ROCK, MI 48134 WHO REPLACED THE TIRES. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE SET OF TIRES HAD BEEN REPLACED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
STEERING HAS A HARMONIC VIBRATION AT SPEEDS ABOVE 40 MPH. ALL ROADS.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION IN FIRST 500 MILES (USED 2 QUARTS) 5.0 LITER ENGINE
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the transmission failed to operate as intended, and the vehicle lost motive power. The contact coasted to the side of the road and had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The vehicle received an undisclosed repair; however, when shifting to reverse and then into drive, the vehicle failed to respond while attempting to accelerate. The contact turned and restarted the vehicle and moved the gear shifter out of drive and then back into drive; however, the vehicle failed to respond, with the RPM elevated, with an undisclosed warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Metter Ford (125 Creek 28, Metter, GA 30439); to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the transmission case connector had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
OCCASIONALLY THE STEERING WANTS TO FORCE THE CAR INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC (TO THE LEFT) WHILE IN MOTION. THIS HAPPENS AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS RANDOM SYSTEM FAULTS SHOWING ALL SYSTEMS OFFLINE: CRUISE CONTROL, ANTI-COLLSION, BLIND SPOT MONITORING, ADVANCETRAC... *TR CONSUMER STATED ADDITIONAL INFO, THESE ALERTS WERE SENT TO MY FORDPASS ACCOUNT. NOW THE DEALER CANNOT FIND ANY INDICATION THAT THE TRUCK HAD ISSUES. BUT THEIR OWN VEHICLE SENT ME NOTICES. MY NEW 2019 FORD F150 HAS A KNOCKING NOISE IN THE MOTOR THAT CAN BE HEARD 25 FEET FROM THE VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION HAS A CONSTANT WHINING NOISE CONTINUALLY UPON ANY ACCELERATION. BOTH WHILE STATIONARY, ON CITY STREETS OR HIGHWAY!
I BOUGHT NEW IN JUNE 2019 THE FOLLOWING MONTH THE TRANSMISSION UPSHIFTS DOWNSHIFTS EXTREMELY HARSH FROM GEARS 3,4,5,6 TRANSMISSION ALSO OVER REVS LIKE CLUTCH IS HELD IN WHEN UPSHIFTING. VEHICLE WILL DROP DOWN 5 GEARS FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WHEN COMING TO STOPS IT SOMETIMES LURCHES FORWARD FAST ALMOST REAR ENDING CARS MULTIPLE TIMES. IT HAS BEEN REPROGRAMMED, SERVICED MULTIPLE TIMES, TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY WAS REPLACED AND STILL TO THIS DAY PROBLEM GETTING WORSE. MY FORD SHOP PUT A FLIGHT RECORDER IN AND VERIFIED ALL THE ISSUES. WAITING FOR FORD ENGINEERS TO FIX THIS ISSUE. 2 OTHER ISSUES THAT STARTED ALMOST DAY ONE WAS REAR DIFFERENTIAL LEAKED, FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SOLENOIDS REPLACED ALONG WITH 4X4 WHEEL HUBS. MY FORD MECHANICS ARE GREAT BUT IT'S FORD MOCO THAT IS THE ISSUE. MY FORD REPAIR SHOP IS WAITING FOR THEM TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION. I DON'T HALL OR TOW ANYTHING IN THIS TRUCK. IT'S USED LIKE A CAR.
THE F150 WAS PURCHASED NEW WITH 5MILES ON IT. THE TRUCK BROKE DOWN ON ME WITHIN THE FIRST 16HRS OF DRIVING IT OFF THE LOT. A TEMPERATURE SENSOR HAD FAILED AND SHUT DOWN THE TRUCK WHILE DRIVING 70MPH WHICH WAS NOT SAFE I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND BARELY MADE IT TO THE BREAK DOWN LANE. THAT ISSUE WAS RESOLVED AND THE PART REPLACED. A WEEK LATER AFTER DRIVING THE TRUCK EVERYDAY FOR MY DAILY COMMUTE TO WORK I STARTED EXPERIENCING VIBRATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS 60+ MPH. THE VIBRATION IS FELT THROUGHOUT THE STEERING WHEEL AND IN THE SEAT YOU CAN FEEL THE CONSOLE AND EVERYTHING VIBRATE. THE TRANSMISSION CLICKS,BLACKS AND CLUNKS LIKE LIKE 15YR OLD VEHICLE. THE SHIFTING IS SLOPPY, JERKY AND OCCASIONALLY DELAYED AND WILL NOT RESPOND WHEN LETTING OFF THE ACCELERATOR TO SLOW DOWN OR CHANGE LANES, YOU WILL GO TO HIT THE ACCELERATOR AGAIN AND THE TRANSMISSION FEELS LIKE IT SLIPS OR IS DELAYED. THE 10 SPEED TRANSMISSION IS A POOR AND UNSAFE DESIGN. FORD NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE BEFORE THESE THINGS KILL SOMEONE. MY IS SCHEDULED TO GO TO THE 3RD FORD DEALER THIS MONDAY 12-23-2019 THEY ARE TELLING ME ITS A STEERING DAMPER CAUSING IT. IT IS NOT A DAMPER CAUSING THESE VIBRATIONS AND SOUNDS I HAVE A VERY EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND OF MECHANICS AND I KNOW A JUNK TRANSMISSION. FORD IS WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM WITH THOUSANDS OF OTHER COMPLAINTS FROM CONSUMERS WITH THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS. THESE ARE LEMONS AND SHOULD BE BOUGHT BACK FROM FORD.
I PURCHASED A 2019 FORD F-150 XLT WITH THE 10-SPEED TRANSMISSION AND THE 3.5L V6 ECOBOOST ENGINE ON 5/13/2019. THE TRANSMISSION HAS BECOME VERY PROBLEMATIC AND IS ROUGH TO SHIFT, SKIPS GEARS, AND HAS CREATED UNPLEASANT DRIVING EXPERIENCES FOR ME AND MY PASSENGERS. A FEW WEEKS AFTER OWNING MY TRUCK, I STARTED TO NOTICE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. INITIALLY THE TRUCK WOULD APPEAR TO 'SKIP' GEARS WHEN SHIFTING UP OR DOWN, AFTER I TURNED ON THE VEHICLE EACH DAY FOR THE FIRST TIME AND STARTED TO DRIVE. HOWEVER, THE TRANSMISSION HAS STARTED TO PERFORM WORSE OVER THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS. THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT NOTICEABLY 'HARD' OR 'SLUGGISHLY' WHEN SHIFTING UP OR DOWN WITH AN OCCASIONAL LOUD 'CLANG' SOUND. THE VEHICLE SHIFTED SO HARD ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS THAT IT HAS CAUSED THE SEATBELT RESTRAINT FOR MYSELF AND MY PASSENGER TO ENGAGE, AT THE TIME THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION GOING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH. AFTER THE TWO INCIDENTS ABOVE AND THE INCREASED FREQUENCY IN WHICH THIS TRANSMISSION HAS DIFFICULTY PERFORMING, I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 7/1/2019. THE APPOINTMENT LASTED ABOUT AN HOUR (IF THAT). THE SERVICE ADVISOR [CHARLIE RYAN] ADVISED THAT THE TRUCK WAS 'HOOKED UP TO THE DIAGNOSTIC' AND PROVIDED ME WITH A PRINTOUT AND TOLD ME 'THE TRANSMISSION WAS OPERATING NORMALLY, AND IT WILL SKIP GEARS BY DESIGN'. I ASKED WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FIX IT, SINCE THE TRUCK IS JERKING ME AROUND WHILE DRIVING. HE SAID THERE WAS NOT A FIX AND I SHOULD LOG A COMPLAINT WITH FORD AND IF ENOUGH PEOPLE COMPLAIN, MAYBE A RECALL WOULD BE ISSUED FOR THIS TRUCK MODEL/CONFIGURATION. THE VEHICLE IS NOT OPERATING AS EXPECTING AND IS STARTING TO BECOME A SAFETY CONCERN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RED ROCK FORD OF WILLISTON (888-706-7217, LOCATED AT 410 32ND AVE W, WILLISTON, ND 58801) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EGR ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO MISSING SCREWS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WOULD BE INVESTIGATED. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE CONTACT WAS NOT CALLED BACK. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,360. *TR THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WITH CODE: P245B - EGR COOLER BYPASS CONTROL CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE (BANK 1) THE PART REPLACED BY RED ROCK FORD OF WILLISTON IS THE SAME PART NUMBER WHICH HAD A RECALL FOR 2018 F150 DIESELS. Transmission clunks shifting ,pause shift when when trying to drive forward, clanks when up shifting and down shifting! Bad rattling like drive line or ! ?
I've been dealing with a vibration/shaking in my factory driver side mirror at high speeds and on bumpy roads since I got my truck in May 2019 (over three years). No issue on the passenger side. I've dealt with it off and on with the dealer as time and life have allowed. Currently I'm on my fourth mirror and have a case manager from Ford corporate. I have attached some of my correspondence with them for your reference. My problem is that the driver side shaking is very bad. It's distracting at high speeds and at night when headlights are shining behind you, it can be like a light show in the corner of your eye while driving. After much trial and error, I believe the vibration is coming from the articulation point between where the arm that comes off the truck connects with the arm that supports the mirror. Where it folds in basically. There isn't anything that can be adjusted, that particular area is all enclosed. I'm on my second dealer after the first claimed the mirror was fine. I took the truck for a drive with the foreman at the new dealer who confirmed he could see the issue. They ordered me a new mirror again and after installing it sure enough the new one shakes just like the prior ones have. The dealer said they had a regional service tech from Ford drive it after the new mirror went on and this person told them the shaking was normal. I'm talking with the case manager from Ford also and they are investigating what to do since there's clearly (in my opinion) some sort of defect with this part but no recall or fix has been made to my knowledge. I may be elevated to their legal team. At issue currently, I have asked my case manager from Ford whether they can have someone such as an engineer or safety team examine the part and assess whether the mirror design is faulty but they have no one in their company. The case Manager claims to not know if Ford has a team like this. The dealerships didn't design the part so they can't assess whether it's flawed.

THE CONTACT CALLED FORD OF BOERNE AT 210-920-3023 (LOCATED AT 31480 I-10, BOERNE, TX 78006) AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE TECHNICIAN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150. *AS CONSUMER STATED MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE FORWARD COLLISION RESPONSE SYSTEM AND AUTOMATIC BRAKING DO NOT WORK. UPON MY VISIT TO THE DEALER THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NO WAY TO CHECK THE SYSTEM TO SEE IF IT WORKS (AND THIS INFORMATION SUPPOSEDLY CAME FROM FORD ENGINEERS). THEREFORE, THE SYSTEM IS NOT CAPABLE OF BEING TESTED, THE SYSTEM IS NOT FAIL-SAFE OF ERRORS, THE SYSTEM IS INCAPABLE OF DEMONSTRATING REPEAT FRONT COLLISION WARNING AND EMERGENCY BRAKING.*JB

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
Transmission slips and shifts erratic. Sometimes it hesitates and lacks power. It's dangerous due to being unpredictable in operation. Vehicle has been in dealership and "found to be normal." I was blown off. It has always shifted jerking and shifting erratic. They said "nothing could be done about it and this is the way it is.. " Now I find out there is a service bulletin that addresses the issue but Ford will NOT FIX IT because I am 3 DAYS OUT OF WARRANTY. Still in mileage at 44k. This is a safety issue and a recall should be issued due to the massive number affected drivers and Ford's absolute unwillingness to own their defect!
THE POWER TAILGATE OPENS ON ITS OWN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THE POWER TAILGATE OPENS WHEN THE DRIVER DOOR IS CLOSED, OR THE DOORS ARE LOCKED WITH KEY FOB. THE POWER TAILGATE DOSE NOT OPEN WITH THE TAILGATE HANDLE SWITCH.
WHEN DRIVING IN ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL THE VEHICLE WILL AGREESIVELY DECELERATE WHEN PASSING ON THE LEFT SIDE OF A LARGE PROFILE VEHICLE. THE GREATER THE SPEED DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO VEHICLES THE GREATER THE RATE OF DECELERATION. IF THE SPEED DIFFERENCE IS ABOUT 35 MPH OR GREATER THE COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM WILL ACTIVATE. THIS IS POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS ON A CROWDED INTERSTATE WITH FOLLOWING VEHICLES VERY CLOSE.
ADDITIONAL PHOTO RELATING TO COMPLAINT #11194721 THE CAUSE OF THE TILTED 2" RECEIVER TUBES ON THE 2019 F-150 TRUCKS IS DUE TO THE INCORRECT ATTACHMENT OF THE WELD BRACKET IS NOT FLUSH WITH THE MAIN STRUCTURE THEREFORE CAUSING THE RECEIVER TUBE TO TILT DOWN. SEE ATTACHED PHOTO.

FACTORY INSTALLED TOW HITCH RECEIVER TUBE IS NOT LEVEL. THE 2" SQUARE TUBE WAS NOT WELDED EXACTLY PERPENDICULAR TO THE TOW RECEIVER STRUCTURE. THE 2" RECEIVER TUBE IS TILTED DOWN 1/4" CAUSING THE COUPLING TO BE "JACKKNIFED" DOWN. THE TOP OF THE TOW BALL IS NOT LEVEL WHICH WILL CONTRIBUTE TO UNEVEN PRESSURE / STRESS ON THE SHANK OF THE BALL WHEN TOWING A TRAILER. USING A 8" TORPEDO LEVEL WILL SHOW THE DEFECT. SEVEN OUT OF TWENTY-ONE 2019 NEW F-150 TRUCKS I LOOKED AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP HAD THE SAME DEFECT. UNEVEN STRESS / PRESSURE ON THE BALL SHANK MAY CAUSE THE SHANK AND BALL TO FAIL WHEN TOWING THE MAXIMUM 9000 POUNDS.
Very hard shifting into 4th, 7th and 8th gear. Will shift randomly into lower gears. Every time vehicle goes to Ford they state the transmission is fine. Transmission has had issue with rough shifting since truck was purchased.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the vehicle was jerking with an abnormal thumping sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was difficult to shift into gear. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that a software update was needed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact was informed that the vehicle was performing as designed for a 10-speed transmission. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
TOO BRIGHT, AND BLIND ME.
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS VEHICLE. 2019 F-150 SUPER CAB PURCHASED BRAND NEW ON 12/07/18 DOORS HAVE POPPED OPEN SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING. AT OTHER TIMES THE DOORS WILL NOT CLOSE AND LATCH AT ALL.. MANY TIMES THE DOORS APPEAR TO BE CLOSED, YET WHEN YOU PUSH ON THEM THEY POP OPEN. I QUICKLY LEARNED TO PUSH ON THE DOORS BEFORE I DRIVE AWAY. THE DOOR LATCHES SHOULD BE DESIGNED NOT JUST TO OPERATE CORRECTLY, BUT ALSO DESIGNED WELL ENOUGH TO STAY CLOSED IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. WHILE THE DOORS ON THIS BRAND NEW VEHICLE WILL NOT EVEN STAY CLOSED UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS ABOUT ME: LONG TERM AND CURRENT FORD SHAREHOLDER AND RETIRED FEDERAL EMPLOYEE WHO WORKED SOME OF MY 36 YEARS OF FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE IN VEHICLE MAINTENANCE.THIS IS NOT A LATCH MECHANISM LUBRICATION PROBLEM. IT IS A BAD DESIGN FLAW, COMBINED WITH A CHEAP PLASTIC LATCH STRIKE MECHANISM INSIDE THE DOOR LATCH. DOORS POPPING OPEN WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION MAKES IT A HIGHLY DANGEROUS VEHICLE THAT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE EVEN SOLD. F SERIES 2019 & 2018 HAVE A 4 BULB HEADLIGHT DAYTIME RUNNING AND LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT SYSTEM THAT IS ALWAYS ON. VERY DISTRACTING AND BRIGHT TO ON COMING TRAFFIC AND WHEN THIS TRUCK IS BEHIND YOU. WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO HAVE A 4 BULB HEADLIGHT SYSTEM THAT IS ALWAYS ON?? PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE, I FIND IT DISTRACTING AND DANGEROUS TO OTHER MOTORISTS, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 20-50 MPH, the vehicle would make abnormal clunking sounds while depressing or releasing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the driveshaft was taken apart and was lubricated; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who informed the contact that the failure was normal. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
Sudden downshifting, missing shift, sudden deceleration, harsh banging into gear.
Cam phaser recall
Backup camera became blurry. Then it froze. Now it backup image froze and remains on screen when vehicle is put in drive. Dealer and Ford says not under recall or the 15 year warranty program even though vehicle is in the year of the warranty. Yes dealer knows. A [XXX] is now driving vehicle under learners permit. Yes ford dealer inspected and said was foggy lens. Had ford check their OASIS system and they said vehicle is not listed. Stated they won’t give me a response in writing that it is not concerned because that proprietary information.
