My truck down shifted from seventh gear all the way down to first, making rev really high and slow down all the sudden. I was doing 50 mph
Back up camera is defective. Known issue of poor solder joints. Camera is now inoperable. Began as an occasional disconnect. Then camera works. Ford claims no issues however it’s know to be a problem on this series within owners group.
Front passenger door lock will not function. the lock does not lock or unlock with the key fob or the interior door lock controls.
Extremely loud electrical POP followed by loud static

Tailgate came open events, while no one in the truck previous recall fix did not work as Google is stating the original recall fix did not work.
When clicking lock and unlock on the key fob or door panel, all doors lock and unlock EXCEPT the driver door. It does not move no matter what you do. Replaced the fuse and that did nothing. This truck is approx 5 years old and should not have electrical failing like this.
Got into my truck as normal and closed the driver side door, only to find the notification on the dash that the driver side door was still ajar. While driving, the alert just keeps sounding off and the dome lights will not go off. It appears that the door latch sensor is faulty, or at least that seems to be the consensus from the dealership. But I've also read that it could potentially be the wiring harness. Safety is at risk because this creates many distractions while trying to drive. The lights stay on, there is constant alerts going off on the dash, and notifications pop up every time I stop or slow down, and I have to manually set my dash back to the odometer so I can see how fast I'm going. 3 separate distractions all from 1 issue. The dealership just wants to replace the door latch because the sensor is built in. But they state it is a common occurrence, and there are plenty of instances just like this online. I am taking my truck to the dealership tomorrow to have them look and potentially replace the door latch because I can't handle the constant alerts while driving. There was no prior indicators to this issue. I drove my truck to work just fine, parked it, and went to get in it at lunch and then the problems began. Out of nowhere.
dash screen went blank while driving engine has a sound like lifters rattling vehicle lost all electrical connectivity and then it finally came back on no other instances
The rear view camera turned black, sometimes purple, the image is distorted. I googled it and it says 700,000 F150's were recalled for this problem but when I called the Ford where I live they said it didn't have a recall
The driver door doesn’t lock or unlock unless opened from the inside. The actuator is more than likely the issue but ford dealership told me it was $185 to diagnose then the total would be around $500 if the actuator is the issue. My truck only has 50,000 miles on it and I can’t get in it without crawling over the seat to open the door.
I have an actuated door lock on the drivers door for electronic locks. It recently started buzzing and not locking when I lock the doors, all of the other locks work fine. This lock buzzes whether I push the button inside the truck, push the lock button on the fob and also when driving about 5 miles per hour. Again, all of the other locks work as they are supposed to. I looked and asked my dealer about a recall on this issue and there is not one. I have a co-worker who had a similar problem with his ford truck that is a few years older and he received a letter from Ford extending his warranty so the part would be replaced at no cost to him. I am requesting the same thing as mine 2020 Ford has the problem currently and even though I can lock it manually when I use the keypad to unlock the doors it does not work either and I feel this is a safety issue and would like it corrected. I have attached a copy of the letter my co-worker received with the program number included for repair. The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after parking on an incline with the engine running, the contact exited the vehicle and moments later the vehicle reversed and crossed a busy road before driving into ditch. The contact stated that during the failure the vehicle nearly collided with a second vehicle while crossing the road. Prior to the failure, the vehicle experienced electrical failures causing the check engine, ABS, Hill Descent and Traction Control warning lights to intermittently flash on and off. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 159,283.
DRIVER'S DOOR WON'T LOCK ANYMORE. IF YOU PUSH THE BOTTON DOWN TO LOCK YOUR TRUCK AND TRY TO UNLOCK WITH KEYFOB; THE PANIC SYSTEM GOES OFF. NO ACCIDENTS ON THIS TRUCK. JUST STOPPED WORKING. WHEN YOU ACCELERATE AND ALL OF YOUR LOCKS ARE SUPPOSED TO LOCK AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE JUST MAKES A NOISE AND DOES NOT LOCK. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE
Back up camera does not display item location for contact area. Related to APIM malfunction. Gps and radio controls also not working due to bad APIM
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle unintendedly stalled but was able to be restarted after approximately 13 minutes. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or local dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
The APIM failed when the vehicle had less than 25,000 miles on it. It was paid for by an extended vehicle warranty, instead of being paid by Ford for bad equipment. It is now back in the shop and they want to charge almost $400 to provide a software update to the equipment that was just replaced. I had the same issue on a 2020 Lincoln Aviator. APIM had to be replaced, my extended warranty was used to replace it, and now it needs an update to work properly. Please require dealerships to enter these issues, not vehicle owners.
1 year ago I started getting the “Charge System Fault” alert on my truck, took to the shop and they advised the battery needed to be replaced. After replacing, a few weeks later it started happening again, so they did further testing and advised the alternator was bad. Replaced the alternator and 6 months later the alert started intermittently again. It has been sporadically ever since when at an idle and doesn’t stay on long enough to have on a reader to reflect what is really wrong. I’ve attached the error from my FordPass app that comes thru once in a while but it’s frequent on the truck dash while it’s running, at idle whether in park or at a stop light. It’s not every time the truck is running, but becoming more frequent again.
On [XXX] I took the truck to Ford dealer after noticing the front floor passenger side carpet was wet and door locks and electronic tire pressure indicator failed to operate correctly. Ford service dept found a/c drain was letting water back into passenger compartment and caused body control module (bcm) failure. Bcm was replaced after 2 1/2 months in the service dept. Returned on 8/26/24, 9/18/24, and 10/22/24 for same water intrusion problem. Different repair done on 10/22/24 to remedy problem. Service dept contacted Ford national office and learned this was considered a design flaw by Ford. Expected a recall will be issued. Remedial treatment for mold was applied because I had been smelling a vinegar smell in the truck cab which is typical smell for presence of mold. This is the primary safety issue I believe exists, but failure of body control module could cause other safety problems. . No recall issued yet.
While driving in the rain, my vehicle had a complete electrical failure. I could not accelerate or even turn the vehicle off. Because of this I could not move my vehicle off the highway. Fortunately I was not hit by the vehicle behind me, and was not in a turn. he Several warning lights came on. After being towed to a dealership, it was found that the factory windshield was leaking into the passenger side area where the Body Control Module (BCM) is housed. This flooded the unit and completely killed the truck. It was surprising to me that rain had the ability to completely render my truck useless. The manufacturer would not cover any repairs as they claimed windshield leaks were a maintenance issue.
