What: 2008 Backup camera failure just like the 1.46 million in newer models. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? See details for current recall, copy/paste. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, but am happy to let them. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No, camera simply stopped working around aug-25. I want you to make them include older year models in this recall. I purchased this vehicle from Vic Bailey Ford Spartanburg SC, financed for 72 months to pay off Jan-1-26. *If ford can sell it, and get financed, when still in the process of paying off, this truck SHOULD get the same considerations as newer ones when there is identical issues.
Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires LT275/70R18 D1 I purchased these tires on 11/08/2019. My truck had 166,736 miles it now has around 202,000. I experienced a blow out where the total tread separated from the rear driver side side walls. The tread separated piece was in one piece. As if a re-tread tire. It caused extensive damage to my rear quarter panel among a list of other damaged parts. The tread was on the tires were still in excellent shape.

Death wobble
Serious uncontrollable violent shaking in the front end of the vehicle when it hits a pot hole or runs over a bump. It’s almost like one side starts to bounce which leads to the other side to start bouncing and it goes back and forth from either side very fast which sounds like a loud rumble

The contact stated that several independent mechanics had previously replaced the tires, control arms, shocks, struts, steering damper, and pitman arm, as well as performed an alignment; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
Several times steering has been lost while making a turn. Thusfar accidents have been narrowly avoided. I have worked with the Ford dealer and replaced all major components in 2022. But the problem has started again. Most times the steering wheel is difficult to turn in parking situations; other times the steering wont work at all. I have had to swing wide into the oncoming lane during a turn to make the turn.
295/65R20 Had 3 out of 4 tires separate with about 1400 miles on them at highway speeds. Purchase in 11/22 first on failed 4/23 the other 2 5/23. 1st one had belts break at hwy speeds the 2nd had a large chunk of trade come off and 3rd had belts separate. 70mph was average speed when the issue occurred.

Experiencing the ford “death wobble”. Around 50 mph going over small road transition the vehicle start shaking violently and I have no control. The only way to stop it is come close to a dead stop in the middle of a highway.

Clock spring frayed and uncoiled. Unknown steering issue till clockspring checked. Airbag inflator is unoperational. Current clockspring recall for Ford does not cover this vehicle. Widen your recall. Most owners would believe it to be a power steering issue with pump and fluid, like we did.
When going over 45 mph the steering wheel of the truck violently shakes and is hard to control.
I JUST PURCHASED THIS BEAUTIFUL F 250 TRUCK 2008, FROM THE AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY IN CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA. I WENT OUT ON THE ROAD AND IMMEDIATELY DISCOVERED THE TRUCK HAD A MAJOR STEERING PROBLEM. IT IS DESCRIBED AS I CANNOT KEEP IT IN THE LANE I AM TRAVELING IN BECAUSE OF STEERING WOBBLE AND PLAYING THE STEERING AND WANDERS INTO INCOMING TRAFFIC. I ALSO CHECKED UP UNDERNEATH AND THERE WERE LOOSE TIE ROD BRACKETS AND OTHER COMPONENTS THAT I DO NOT KNOW THE NAMES OF. IT'S A REAL SHAME WHEN THE SALESMAN YOU PURCHASED IT FROM WHEN I TEXTED THIS TO HIM WILL NOT CALL OR TEXT BACK, VERY DECEITFUL.
While driving down the interstate our truck started shaking violently and my husband had to stop the truck to get it to stop shaking. This happened twice during our trip.
Steering box replaced and vehicle lost control. Airbags failed to deploy. Fatality occurred.
Bring truck to 60 or above it starts to shake and wobble to the point I can't go highway speeds.. I have only owned this truck for a couple months.

DRIVING 60 ON THE HIGHWAY AND TRUCK AND STEERING WHEEL STARTED VIOLENTLY SHAKING. SEARCHED ONLINE AND IT IS DESCRIBED AS THE DEATH WOBBLE.
THE DEATH WOBBLE. THE FRONT END STARTS SHAKING REALLY BAD HIT A BUMP IN ROAD GOING ABOVE 50 MPH AND WILL NOT STOP UNLESS I SLOW DOWN TO ALMOST A STOP. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IF I HIT A BUMP THE WHOLE TRUCK SHAKES VIOLENTLY TO THE POINT OF LOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I NEED TO BRAKE HEAVILY TO STOP THE SHAKING. I'VE READ UP ON IT AND IT HAS BEEN DUBBED THE 'DEATH WOBBLE' AND APPARENTLY IS A HUGE PROBLEM. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE THE TRUCK, SO I AM KEEPING IT OFF THE ROAD FOR THE SAFETY OF ME AND THOSE AROUND ME. THANK YOU. *TR
FORD DEATH WOBBLE. TOWING A 5TH WHEEL CAMPER AT 65 MPH. HIT A BUMP ON PA TURNPIKE. THE FRONT END SHOOK VIOLENTLY. ALMOST LOST CONTROL. MADE A PANIC SLOW DOWN TO 25 MPH TO REGAIN CONTROL.
All the fiberglass Bkack trim and the Gray door panels and the middle armrest are causing skin irritation to any person that come in touch with them. I havee owned this Truck for so many years, the problem started about 4 years ago, since I only use it for towing the camper I have ignored the issue for sure this very inconvenient to sell a vehicle with only 87k because of the manufactur cheap trim or other oweners didn't complain and ignored the issue. I have not taken the Truck to the Ford dealer because I have know doubt in my mind that they will tell me it's an 18 years old vehicle get another one. Yes I have the vehicle available for inspection at anytime. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my complaint.
HAVE A VERY BAD DEATH WOBBLE. SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX AND STILL HERE.
WHEN TRAVELING MORE THAN 40MPH AND A WHEEL HITS A GROOVE OR BUMP IN THE ROAD, THE ENTIRE TRUCK SHAKES VIOLENTLY AND IS HARD TO CONTROL, FORCING THE DRIVER TO QUICKLY DECELERATE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. IT FEELS AS IF THE TIRES ARE BOUNCING UNCONTROLLABLY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW IN 2009. ALSO WHEN DRIVING OVER RAILROAD TRACKS OR VERY BUMPY ROADS, THE BRAKE PEDAL, WHEN DEPRESSED, GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. AFTER PUMPING THE BRAKES, NORMAL BRAKING RETURNS, BUT THE INITIAL BRAKE FAILURE IS VERY FRIGHTENING AS IS THE UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING WHEN HITTING A BUMP AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
My truck is having the same issues as listed in the recalls but isn’t on the recall list. Running rough dash board turns off and loses power to the cab. Low voltage light comes on but batteries and alternator test fine. Factory installed lift blocks have cracked and caused can bushings to fail.
FUEL TANK STRAPS FAILED WHILE DRIVING LETTING THE TANK DRAG ON A DIVIDED HIGHWAY ROAD SURFACE AND DUMP FUEL ON THE ROAD. TRUCK SHUT DOWN WITH NO WARNING WHEN ALL THE FUEL DUMPED OUT, LEAVING NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES.
I PURCHASED MY 2008 FORD F250 IN 2015 FROM A DEALERSHIP IN BURKBURNETT, TX. THE TRUCK STARTED LOOSING COOLANT FROM WHAT SEEM TO BE THE LOWER RADIATOR HOSE. THAT LEAK STOPPED BUT CONTINUED LEAK COOLANT FROM BUT WAS NOT VISIBLE. THEN THE COOLANT FILLER BOTTLE STARTED COLLECTING A BLACK FLUID AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS ENGINE OIL. SO, I WAS GETTING OIL IN MY ANTIFREEZE. THE RADIATOR WAS DRAINED AND REFILLED WITH COOLANT BUT I STILL FOUND OIL IN THE COOLANT FILLER BOTTLE. RIGHT AROUND THANKSGIVING 2019, I DECIDED TO TRADE IN THE VEHICLE AND DROVE IT TO A DEALERSHIP 50 MILES AWAY. THEY TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND THE ENGINE LOCKED UP AFTER THE TEST DRIVE AND HAS NOT STARTED SINCE. WE WERE GIVEN AN ESTIMATE OF $11,000 TO CLEAN OUT THE OILS IN THE ENGINE. THE PICKUP IS NOT WORTH THAT MUCH ACCORDING TO THE LIENHOLDER. THE VEHICLE IS NOW SITTING IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE AND HAS BEEN SINCE THE NEW YEAR AFTER WE HAD IT TOWED FROM THE DEALERSHIP 50 MILES AWAY TO OUR HOME.
WHEN I WAS DRIVING I LOST POWER I PUT ON THE SCANNER GOT A CODE P0701 WHICH IS THE TORQUE CONVERTER SOLENOID I LOST ALL GEARS I RESET THE LIGHT GOT 3 AND 4 WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME BUT NOW HAVE NO GEARS WHAT SO EVER
THE RADIATOR IS SEPARATING AT THE SEAL AT THE EDGE. WE ARE LOSING APPROX 1 GALLON OF ANTIFREEZE A DAY. I HAVE HEARD THIS COMPLAINT FROM SEVERAL DEALERSHIPS WE HAVE TALKED TO AND OTHER CUSTOMERS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2008 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, GOT HIT BY AN EIGHTEEN WHEELER THAT RAN A STOP SIGN, STRIKING THE DRIVER SIDE. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE POLICE WAS PRESENT AND A REPORT NUMBER: 88163534 WAS FILED. THE CONTACT WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE, TREATED AND RELEASED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A PRIVATE RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 230,000.
I HAVE 46000 MILES ON MY TRUCK AND FOUR TIMES MY REAR BRAKES HAVE LOCKED UP ON ME. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED WITH 17000 MILES SO CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES IT HAS HAPPENED PREVIOUSLY. IT IS NO WONDER I GOT A USED VEHICLE WITH SO LOW OF MILES. I HAVE LOST ALL FAITH IN DRIVING THIS TRUCK FOR ANY KIND OF DISTANCE. I HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY UNABLE TO MOVE STRANDED ON THE ROAD. ON ANOTHER OCCASION I HAD TO DRIVE FIFTY MILES TOWING A TRAILOR WITH VICE GRIPS CRIMPING MY BRAKE LINE AFTER I BROKE THE CALIPER FREE AND GUESS WHAT THEY ARE LOCKED UP AGAIN.THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM AND VERY DANGEROUS
IT STARTS SHIMMYING BACK AND FORTH VICIOUSLY AND WILL NOT STEER. I PUT ON NEW STRUTS, STEERING GEAR BOX, SHOCKS, TIRES, AND HAVE SPENT OVER $,3, 000 IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS. I NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS WILL START AND HAVE COME CLOSE TO SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. I HAVE READ MANY LETTERS FROM PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM IN THIS MODEL. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL?
WHILE IN MOTION, AT 30 MPH OR HIGHER, THE TRUCK WANDERS LEFT AND RIGHT. IMPOSSIBLE TO MAINTAIN STRAIGHT TRAVEL...BASICALLY NO CENTERING OF STEERING. UNSAFE AND IT APPEARS THAT YOU ARE DRIVING AS A DRUNK WOULD. ALSO, VIOLENT SHAKING OF STEERING WHEEL AFTER HITTING A BUMP AT SPEED.
DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK STARTS VIOLENTLY AND UNCONTROLLABLY SHAKING AND DOESN'T CEASE UNTIL YOU SLOW DOWN BELOW 20 MPH. THE FRONT END ALSO DOES THIS IF I'M DRIVING MORE THAN 25 MPH AND THE PAVEMENT CHANGES. THE COUNTY REPAVED A PORTION OF MY ROAD. THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55. EVERYTIME I REACH THE CHANGE IN ASPHALT, I HAVE TO ALMOST STOP TO GET THE SHAKING TO STOP.
STEERING GEAR BOX SEEMS TO HAVE BROKE. LOSE OF ALL STEERING. STEERING WHEEL SPINS AROUND BUT DOES NOT CONTROL ANYTHING NOW
EXCESSIVE BLOWBY POLLUTING ENGINE. #8 AND #6 CYLINDERS, RINGS HEAVILY WORN OR DAMAGED DUE TO DIESEL REGEN CONTAMINATING LUBRICATION AND GETTING IN CRANKCASE. THIS IS A VERY WELL KNOWN AND UNACCEPTABLE ISSUE CAUSING SCORED ENGINE BLOCKS AND FAILURE OF ENGINE AND DPF AND EGRS.
