TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE FRONT END SHIMMERED SEVERELY WHEN THE VEHICLE HIT A BUMP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOUR TIMES WHO REPLACED THE BALL JOINTS AND STABILIZER ARM BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-250 SD. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 TO 45 MPH THE VEHICLE WOULD DRIFT FROM LEFT TO RIGHT WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER NOR HAD IT BEEN REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED HIM THAT THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 13,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-250 SD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED TO INDICATE ACCURATE READING LEVELS. IN ADDITION, WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE JERKED. THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE DEPRESSED WITH EXCESSIVE FORCE IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM JERKING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
AFTER DRIVING OVER A SERIES OF SMALL BUMPS IN THE ROAD ON THE HIGHWAY THE FRONT END OF THE TRUCK SHOOK VIOLENTLY, SEVERE SHAKING/ VIBRATION. I HAD TO DECELERATE TO APPROXIMATELY 40-45 MPG TO STOP THE VIOLENT SHAKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES SINCE THAT TIME. I HAD THE TRUCK SERVICED FOR THE PROBLEM AND IT HAS HAPPENED ONCE SINCE BEING SERVICED. *TR
THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE WHILE PARKED. THE FIRE ORIGINATED WITHIN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT OR AROUND THE MASTER CYLINDER AND WIRING HARNESS AREA AS IT ENTERS THE FIREWALL. THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED IN THE FIRE.
2011 FORD F-250. CONSUMER STATES SIX INCIDENTS OF SUDDEN UNEXPECTED, UNEXPLAINED HIGH ACCELERATION *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED TWO OF THE SIX INCIDENTS WERE AT A VERY HIGH RPM AND SO FORCEFUL, THAT IT NEARLY PROPELLED THE VEHICLE INTO OTHER VEHICLES. *JB
MY 2011 FORD F250 DIESEL 4X4 CREW CAB 6.5' BED HAS EXPERIENCED UNEXPLAINABLE SUSPENSION VIBRATIONS AND WOBBLES OVER THE COURSE OF ITS, NOW, 13.5K MILE LIFE. THE TRUCK, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THE WHEELS AND TIRES WERE BALANCE, BOUNCES AT 45-70 MPH AND BOUNCES AT A VERY DANGEROUS LEVEL AT HIGHER SPEEDS WHEN HITTING A BUMP OR UNEVEN PAVEMENT. THE PROBLEM IS ALSO WORSENED AT THE ONSET OF THE SPEED HEADING INTO A CORNER WHERE THE WHEEL IS TURNED. IT FEELS LIKE THE WHEELS GO OUT OF SYNC OR OUT OF SHAPE AND BOUNCE FORCING ME TO DECELERATE AND ON A FEW OCCASIONS, STOP ALTOGETHER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-250 XL SD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ENTERING A RESIDENTIAL CARPORT AREA DRIVING 2 MPH, THE VEHICLE ABNORMALLY ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A WALL. HE TRIED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AS THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER NOR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,278.
WHEN U TURN ON PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG THE RADIO DOES NOT WORK WHEN U TURN IT OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON AND ABS SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT COMES ON , THE BLUE TOOTH STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER NO MATTER WHICH POSITION AIR PASS AIR BAG SWITCH IS IN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE SHIFTED INTO DRIVE FROM REVERSE AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO DRIVE IN REVERSE. THE CONTACT SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND IT OPERATED AS NORMAL UPON RESTART. THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR LATER AND THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A MAILBOX. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD INTERMITTENTLY BEGIN ACCELERATING FROM STOPS IN FIFTH GEAR WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN FIRST GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,700.
2011 FORD F250 CREWCAB FX4 6.7L DIESEL ENGINE. SOMETIMES YOU PUSH ON THE GAS AND NOTHING HAPPENS AND IT TAKES A FEW SECONDS AND IT KICKS IN AND GOES. TOWING A FIFTH WHEEL THRU A STOP SIGN WITH A 18 WHEELER BEARIG DOWN ON YOU SUCKS. ALMOST DIDN'T MAKE IT OUT OF THE WAY. THIS HAPPEN TWICE IN ONE DAY. THE DEALER HEARD NOISE FROM MY FUEL PUMP SO THE THEY CHANGED THE FUEL FILTERS AND I HAD A RECALL FOR SOME COMPUTER UPGRADE DATA THINGY. I ONLY HAVE 24K MILES AND THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW OTHER TIMES WITHOUT A LOAD ON IT (TOWING OR NOT). DID I JUST SPEND $61,000 ON A DEATH TRAP?? AT THE DIESEL STOP.COM WEBSITE, THERE ARE MANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE IN TO A DEALER AND THEY SAY "CAN NOT DUPLICATE" BUT THIS HAPPENS EVERY NOW AND THEN. ONE PERSON ON THAT FORUM WAS ABLE TO TAKE A FORD MECHANIC DRIVING WITH HIM AND WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM BUT LATER THE MECHANIC SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. SOUNDS LIKE A COVER UP TO ME. WHAT SHOULD I DO?? JUST KEEP TAKING MY TRUCK IN TO THE DEALER? *TR
DEATH RUMBLE: AFTER ANY NEW SET OF TIRES GETS ABOUT 15,000 -20,000 MILES ON THEM, THE INFAMOUS "DEATH RUMBLE" OCCURS ON THIS MODEL TRUCK. WHEN TRAVELING AT SPEEDS OF 60 OR MORE AND YOU TURN OR HIT A BUMP, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE STARTS SHAKING AND VIBRATING VIOLENTLY. YOU HAVE TO COME TO AN ALMOST IMMEDIATE STOP IN ORDER TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP THE SHAKING. IT IS SO BAD THAT YOU CANNOT CONTROL STEERING AT TIMES AND IS EVEN VISIBLE TO OTHERS NOT IN THE VEHICLE. ALL FORD DEALERS THAT I HAVE SPOKEN WITH ABOUT THIS ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT BLAME IT ON TIRES OR TIRE PRESSURE. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TYPES OF TIRES (AS I KNOW HAVE OVER 125,000 MILES ON MY TRUCK) AND ALWAYS INFLATE THEM AS PER MY OWNER'S MANUAL...THIS DOES NOT HELP...NOR DOES ROTATING, BALANCING, CHECKING BRAKES, BALL JOINTS, SUSPENSION, ETC. YOU CAN WATCH MANY MANY VIDEOS OF THIS PROBLEM OF YOUTUBE AND OTHER LOCATIONS, SEE WRITE-UPS IN MAGAZINES, AND AS I SAID, DEALERS EVEN KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE...SO WHY IS IT NOT GETTING CORRECTED??? *TR
DRIVING EAST BOUND ON THE 91 FREEWAY IN THE DIAMOND LANE I DROVE OVER A ROADWAY IMPERFECTION. AS SOON AS I HIT IT WITH MY LEFT FRONT TIRE THE VEHICLE MADE A VIOLENT MOTION TO THE LEFT ALMOST CAUSING ME TO STRIKE THE CENTER DIVIDER. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES BEFORE I RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED (12/16/2010). BY THIS TIME, STRIKING AN IMPERFECTION WITH EITHER FRONT TIRE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO MOVE LATERALLY, LEFT OR RIGHT. AFTER SEVERAL VISITS TO THE FORD DEALER WITHOUT REMEDY, A FORD ENGINEER WAS SUMMONED FOR A TEST DRIVE. WE DROVE THE VEHICLE TO A SPOT I CONSISTENTLY HAVE THE PROBLEM AND IT VIOLENTLY PULLED TO THE LEFT WHEN THE FRONT LEFT TIRE HIT THE SPOT (TRANSITION ROAD: 405 FREEWAY TO THE NORTHBOUND 710 FREEWAY). BOTH THE ENGINEER AND THE SERVICE MANAGER WERE IN THE VEHICLE AT THAT TIME AND BOTH FELT WHAT I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT. LATER THAT SAME DAY I WAS LOOKING AT A FORD FUSION WITH MY SON AND THE FORD ENGINEER DROVE INTO THE LOT IN A NEW FORD SUPER DUTY 4X4 THAT HE HAD DRIVEN TO THAT SAME LOCATION. HE TOLD ME AND MY SON THAT THE NEW VEHICLE DID THE SAME THING AND HE WOULD REPORT BACK TO FORD SO THAT THEY COULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I WAS LATER CONTACTED BY THE FORD MANAGER AND TOLD THAT MY PROBLEM WAS WITHIN FORDS TOLERANCE FOR THE VEHICLE. HE ALSO TOLD ME I COULD PROBABLY GO OVER TO THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE PARTS STORE AND PURCHASE SOMETHING THAT MIGHT HELP WITH THE PROBLEM. I CONTINUE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM BUT IT APPEARS TO BE GETTING WORSE. EVEN MY FRIENDS WHO DRIVE WITH ME COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS ISSUE TELLING ME I NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THIS PAST WEEK I CONTACTED FORD AGAIN VIA THEIR FIX-IT HOT LINE AND SPOKE WITH ONE OF THEIR REPRESENTATIVES WHO LOOKED INTO MY COMPLAINT (HE SPOKE WITH THE FORD MANAGER AND FORD ENGINEER). TODAY HE ADVISED ME THE PROBLEM WAS NORMAL FOR THE VEHICLE. ANYONE ELSE COMPLAINING? *TR

FRONT / FRAME VIBRATION AND BOUNCING AFTER HITTING A HOLE OR AT CERTAIN SPEEDS THAT SEEM TO BE PRODUCING FRAME VIBRATION DUE TO A HARMONIC FREQUENCY GENERATED BY THE TIRES AND ROAD SPEEDS EXAGGERATING AN ENGINEERING DEFECT IN THE FRONT SUSPENSION. *TR

WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MERGE ONTO THE INTERSTATE THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND THE GEAR WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO SECOND OR THIRD GEAR CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION TO SHIFT WITH GREATER FORCE, AND THE REAR WHEELS TO LOCK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALERS DIAGNOSTIC TEST INDICATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS SENDING INCORRECT SIGNALS. THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTER WAS REPROGRAMMED SEVERAL TIMES. THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO HESITATE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT GEARS. THE MANUFACTURER FILED A REPORT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 9,500.
I HAVE EXPERIENCED A VIOLENT WOBBLE IN MY FRONT END OF THE 2011 FORD 250 CREW CAB DIESEL. HAVE TAKING IT TO A FORD DEALER FOUR TIMES , THEY SAY THAT THEY CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO GROUNDED THE FRONT ROTORS, REPLACED THE FRONT CALIPERS AND BRAKE PADS, BUT THE FAILURE WASN'T CORRECTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT HIS CLAIM WAS ESCALATED AND SOMEONE WOULD CALL HIM. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,600 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 7500. 2011 F -250 SD4X4 HAD 08 KING RANCH NEVER A PROB IN 87K MILES.THE 11 IS DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!! THIS TRUCK WILL BE DOING FINE ON THE ROAD, HIT A BUMP OR ROUGH SPOT IN THE ROAD AND TRUCK GOES INTO (DEATH WOBBLE MODE ) THE WHOLE TRUCK STARTS BOUNCING AND SHAKING AND VILOENTLY WOBBLING. HAVE HAD IT BACK TO FORD STORE 4 TIMES. THEY REPLACED STEERING STABLIZER SHOCKS AND BALL JOINTS AT MY EXPENSE DUH!!! FIRST 3 TIMES THEY COULDNT FIND ANYTHING WRONG.IT KEPT DOIN IT . I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY DID THE REPAIRS I STATED. WELL I THOUGHT IT WAS FIXED ...WRONG, 22 MILES AFTER REPAIR IT DID IT AGAIN IN A CURVE,, I COULDNT CONTROL THE WOBBLE AND ENDED UP GOIN THRU A FENCE INTO A FIELD..HAVE TERRIBLE CUT ON LEGS AND FACE....FILED LAWSUIT YESTERDAY..WILL KEEP YOU POSTED...FORD HAS A MAJOR ENGINEERING PROB.
