SPARK PLUG EJECTION FROM HEAD ON STARTUP.
I HAVE A 1999 FORD F-350 WITH THE V-10 ENGINE AND ONLY 60,000 MILES. COMING BACK FROM DENVER - NOT HAULING ANYTHING - THE ENGINE BLEW OUT A SPARK PLUG. THIS IS A KNOW DEFECT AND WELL DOCUMENTED ON FORD PROBLEMS.COM. GIVEN THE NUMBER OF OCCURRENCES THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED, AND THE POSSIBLE SAFETY ISSUES WITH A BLOWN OUT PLUG I RESPECTIVELY REQUEST THAT THIS BE CONSIDERED AS A RECALL MATTER ON ALL SUCH EQUIPPED VEHICLES. *TR
WHILE4 DRIVING AT 40 MPH CONSUMER HEARD A POPPING NOISE UNDER THE HOOD. CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED. DEALERSHIP INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE PROBLEM PERTAINED TO THE SPARK PLUG FAILURE. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT RESOLVED. *AK THE CYLINDER HEAD FAILED. THE SPARK PLUG FELL OUT OF THE ENGINE. *TC
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE STALLED. DEALER STATED THE PISTON MALFUNCTIONED. *AK

THE LEFT REAR WHEEL SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE JERK FOWARD. *JB THE CONSUMER REQUESTED AN 03 VEHICLE OR REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE INCIDENTAL EXPENSES. AFTER THE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE, THE MANUAL, LOCKABLE HUB(S) BEGAN TO FAIL. THE DEALER CONVINCED THE CONSUMER(S) TO PURCHASE 8 PLY TIRES, BUT THIS DIDN'T REDUCE THE NOISE OR HUB PROBLEMS, THE CONSUMER ALSO EXPERIENCED ACCELERATION PROBLEM'S. THE DEALER COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. THE ENGINE IDLED ROUGH AND THE ENGINE LIGHT HAD COME ON. A BAD CAM SENSOR WAS FOUND, AND A SOUND HAD COME FROM THE FUEL PUMP. AN ADAPTER TO THE METAL PLATE WAS BUILT IN, EXTENDING FROM THE UNDERDASH, TO THE FIREWALL, TO PROVIDE A BETTER GROUND SYSTEM. SCC
THE CAM POSITION SENSOR CONTINUED TO FAIL, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. *JB

I BOUGHT MY TRUCK IN FEB. OF '99 AND CHANGE THE OIL AND FILTER EVERY 3000 MI.. I USE MOTORCRAFT PARTS AND I ONLY USE THE TRUCK FOR HAULING SODA DRINKS FOR MY BUSINESS. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE TRUCK IS STILL LIKE BRAND NEW!! FROM THE VERY BEGINNING,THE ENGINE WOULD DEVELOP A SLIGHT KNOCKING ABOUT 10 TO 20 SECONDS AFTER INITIAL START-UP IN MORNING. AS THE MILES INCREASED, SO DID THE LENGTH OF TIME THE KNOCK TOOK TO GO AWAY. THE KNOCK HAS GOTTEN LOUDER AND LONGER AND THE DEALER WHERE I TOOK IT ON SAT. 3/17/2001, TOLD ME I NEED NEW MOTOR!!*AK
STUDS THAT KEPT EXHAUST MANIFOLD ON ENGINE BLOCK BROKE ON RIGHT SIDE, CAUSING EXHAUST LEAK. THIS HAPPENED BEFORE ON LEFT SIDE. ALSO, AT 36000 MILES FORD REPLACED MOTOR DUE TO ENGINE KNOCKING. *AK
TRANSMISSION SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, WHICH WHILE REVERSING AND PULLING A TRAILER, TRANSMISSION OVERHEATED AND BURNED OUT. DEALER REDESIGNED THE TRANSMSSION AND COOLING SYSTEM. VEHICLE WAS STILL EXPERIENCING THE PROBLEM, AND VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED, IT DID NOT SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK THE VEHICLE IS NOT EQUIPED WITH MECHANISM TO CONTROL VEHICLE'S SPEED WHEN DESCENDING STEEP GRADES. THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TWICE PREMATURELY. THE TRANSMISSION ALSO OVER HEATS UNDER HEAVY LOAD AND WHEN DRIVING IN REVERSE. *YH
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WOULD STALL ON ROAD, TURBO-CHARGER WOULD NOT KICK IN. THERE WAS A LOUD KNOCKING, TOOK TO MECHANIC, WHO SAID THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE SEVENTH RING. *AK
VEHICLE STALLS AT ANY SPEED/ ANY TIME. TAKEN TO DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES, CANNOT REMEDY SITUATION. *AK ALSO, TRANSMISSION JERKS WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. *YH
DUE TO DEFECTIVE TURBO INTAKE WHICH BLEWOUT VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING. THIS MIGHT HAVE CAUSED A CRASH. DEALER FIXED THIS PART 5 TIMES, BUT IT IS STILL REOCCURRING. ALSO, WHILE DOWNSHIFTING FROM 2ND GEAR TO 1ST GEAR VEHICLE WILL GO INTO REVERSE AUTOMATICALLY, CAUSING DAMAGES TO THE REAR PART OF VEHICLE. *AK ONE TURBO LOST ITS POWER AND SHUTDOWN BEFORE BEING PULLED OVER TO ROAD SIDE. THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT GO INTO REVERSE GEAR. *YH
1. THE ENGINE IS STARVED OF AIR WHEN DRIVEN ON SNOW AND ICE. SNOW GETS PACKED IN THE AIR CLEANER BOX AND FREEZES. THE AIR INTAKE IS PULLED FROM THE WHEEL WELL. 2. ROAD DEBRIS AND ROCKS LOAD UP THE BOTTOM OF ALL DOORS. WEATHERSTRIPPING IS REQUIRED. *AK
