THIS APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH 2001 F350'S AS WELL. I TALKED WITH A FEW PEOPLE THAT SAID "THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR WAS THERE AND THEN IT WASN'T."*AK
IT'S DIFFICULT TO TURN STEERING WHEEL WHEN APPLYING BRAKES. ALSO, WHEN VEHICLE IS SITTING STILL. DEALER CANNOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM.*AK
ENGINE BEGAN FAILING AT 1200 MILES AND HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. WHEN THE ENGINE FAILS ALL POWER OPTIONS ARE LOST AS WELL AND HAS CAUSED SEVERAL CLOSE CALLS. FAILURE OCCURS WITHOUT WARNING PLACING MY LIFE IN DANGER. THE FORD REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE HAS REFUSED TO TALK WITH ME UNTIL THEY TRY TO REPAIR THE TRUCK AGAIN. I CAN'T TRUST THIS TRUCK AND FEEL IT SHOULD NOT BE ON THE HIGHWAY. THE DEALER HAS THE TRUCK FOR THE THIRD TIME AND HOPE THEY WILL REPLACE IT RATHER THAN USE ME AS THEIR CRASH DUMMY.*AK
AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN APPLYING BRAKES, STEERING WHEEL WOULD LOCK UP. DEALER HAS INSPECTED VEHICLE AND CHANGED RACK AND PINION. HOWEVER, PROBLEM WAS NOT CORRECTED. DEALER PUT OLD PARTS BACK ON VEHICLE. *AK *YD
CONSUMER STATES THAT STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP IF YOU SLAM ON BRAKES OR APPLY BRAKES FARELY HARD. ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.CONTACTED DEALER,THEY WORKED ON IT 3 TIMES CANNOT FIX PROBLEM. MANUFACTURER KNOW THAT PROBLEM ASSISTS. MR
LTR FM ANDRIJ ANDREITCHUX(NJ) OWNER OF A FORD F350 TRUCK UNABLE TO CONNECT WITH 33 FOOT RV TRAILER HOOK SYSTEM CAUSES TRUCK TO LOCK-UP DEFECT REPLY TO THE ELIZABETH, NJ DISTRICT OFC. THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN WHICH THE CONSUMER SUSTAINED INJURIES. *NM CONSUMER ALSO EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH STALLING OF ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, POWER STEERING, ACCELERATION, AND FUEL SYSTEM ON VEHICLE. *LA

WHEN THE VEHICLE WENT DOWN AN INCLINE, THE FRONT END VIBRATED. WHICH RESULTED IN LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. *JB
WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR FOR FULL THROTTLE THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE DIES. *NLM
TIRE TREAD STARTED WEARING FROM THE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE OF TIRES. *MR THE TREAD STARTED WEARING ON THE OUTSIDE/INSIDE OF THE TIRES AS IF THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS LOW. THE TIRES WERE ROTATED WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. THE TIRES HAD GOTTEN SO BAD THAT THE VEHICLE BOUNCED WHILE IN MOTION. (THE TIRES SEPARATED ON THE INSIDE) *JB
CATALYTIC CONVERTER CAUGHT ON FIRE AND BURNED THE ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. *SCC *JB
CONSUMER INDICATED THAT CRUISE CONTROL SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHEN ENGAGED. WHEN THIS OCCURRED THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER. DEALERSHIP INDICATED THIS WAS CAUSED BY A BRAKE SENSOR FAILURE.*AK *NM
