TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE BRAKES SQUEAKED, THE STEERING LOST POWER, AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FRIENDLY KIA (877-544-6719, LOCATED AT 5819 US-19, NEW PORT RICHEY, FL 34652) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO HUMIDITY. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO FORD OF PORT RICHEY (727-233-7143, LOCATED AT 10715 US-19, PORT RICHEY, FL 34668) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKES, TRANSMISSION, AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 14,000.
MY VEHICLE SHIFTED OUT OF GEAR IN A DANGEROUS AREA ON THE HIGHWAY AND I WAS NEARLY HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AS MY CAR SLOWED. I HAD TO PULL OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE I RESTARTED THE CAR ONLY FOR IT TO ENGAGE "LIMP MODE" WHICH WASN'T ENOUGH POWER TO GET ME OFF THE HIGHWAY SAFELY.
THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS INCREASINGLY AND HAD A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND WAS STALLING SO BAD AT TAKE OFF. THE ENGINE WOULD REV UP BUT ACCELERATING SLOW, THEN IT WILL JERK INTO GEAR.
I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO A DEALERSHIP SEVERAL YEARS AGO TO ADDRESS THE FAULTY DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER-SIDE REAR) AS PER THE RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS DUE TO A DESIGN FLAW IN THE ASSEMBLY (BASICALLY USING A CHEAP PART THAT EASILY BREAKS). LAST YEAR, I HAD ANOTHER DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY (DRIVER-SIDE REAR) FAIL AFTER HAVING ALL FOUR OF THEM SUPPOSEDLY REPLACED. I ONCE AGAIN TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO CHARGED SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS AS IT WAS OUTSIDE OF THE 1 YEAR WARRANTY WINDOW. THE DEALER AND FORD BOTH TOLD ME I WAS OUT OF LUCK AND IT WAS MY PROBLEM. JUST LAST NIGHT I HAD ANOTHER ASSEMBLY FAIL, THIS TIME THE DRIVER-SIDE FRONT. I REFUSE TO PAY ANY MONEY TO THEM AS THESE THINGS ARE CLEARLY FAULTY AND A SAFETY HAZARD, BUT THEY REFUSE TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE PROPERLY. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT RECOURSE I HAVE TO FORCE THEM TO FIX THIS SAFETY ISSUE PROPERLY ONCE AND FOR ALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2011 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED, HESITATED, AND STALLED. ALL THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WARNING INDICATORS WERE ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. ALSO, THE "BRAKE NOT PUSHED" MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NORTH EAST FORD (182 ROUTE 44 EAST, MILLERTON, NY 12546, (518) 789-4477) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DUAL CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT NO LONGER OWNED THE VEHICLE AND SOLD IT FOR PARTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
CAR WILL STOP ACCELERATING OR MOVING IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND COMPLETELY LOCK UP. I AM UNABLE TO GO FORWARD OR IN REVERSE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. HOWEVER THE CAR WILL STILL REV JUST NOT MOVE. THIS IS SO DANGEROUS AND HAS HAPPENED IN INTERSECTIONS AS WELL AS ON THE FREEWAY. I'VE HAD CAR LOOKED AT MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAVE HAD TO TOW OFF SIDE OF FREEWAY DUE TO IT NOT MOVING!
THE CAR SHUDDERS AND FEELS LIKE IT OS GOING TO STALL OUT. THE CAR REVS HIGH WHEN YOU PRESS THE GASS BUT HAS NO POWER. I'VE TAKEN IT TWICE TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE TO FIX THE THROTTLE BODY FIRST BEFORE THEY CAN TELL ME IF IT'S MY TRANSMISSION. ALSO WHEN I'M FILLING UP MY TANK IT STOPS EVERY FEW SECONDS AND WILL NOT ALLOW GAS TO GO IN THE TANK. THEY ALSO SAID IT'S MY FILLER NECK.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR AS A PRIVATE SALE FOR $4,000 DOLLARS, I HAD THE CAR LESS THAN A YEAR AND SUDDENLY THE CAR STOPPED ON THE HIGHWAY. COME TO FIND OUT THE TRANSMISSION IS NO GOOD. DOING SOME PRIOR RESEARCH BEFORE THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2011 FORD FOCUS AND FIESTAS ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION BEING NO GOOD. PRIOR BEFORE THE CAR STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER I WAS DEALING WITH A LOT OF HESITATION THE CAR SHUTTING OFF IN SLOW DOWN TRAFFIC AND BUCKING. I ALSO DID CAR FAX AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS INDEED A RECALL FOR THE TRANSMISSION. ALSO FINDING OUT RECENTLY THAT THE LATCHES FOR THE DOOR WAS RECALLED AND AS WELL AS THE AIR BAGS THAT HASN'T BEEN FIXED.
TAKATA RECALL, MY CAR KEEPS JERKING AND STUTTERING TO GO I'VE HAD THIS CAR FOR ABOUT FOUR ABOUT 4 YEARS , I'VE TOOK IT TO THE SHOP ABOUT 5 TIMES THE WORKERS TOLD ME THERE WASN'T ANYTHING THE COULD DO AFTER I KEPT TAKING IT BECAUSE THE DUAL CLUTCH WOULD KEEP MESSING UP YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGH WAY MY CAR STAYED AT 30 MPH IT THEN STARTED SMOKING SO I HAD TO PULL OVER I THEN STOPPED MY CAR AND THEN MY CAR WOULD NOT START UP UNTIL THIS DAY NOW I AM STUCK WITH A CAR NOTE WITH NO CAR
DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION - CAR HAS BEEN REPAIRED 5 TIMES FOR 2 DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION FAILURES. THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS DO NOT CURRENTLY TRIGGER COMPUTER DIAGNOSTICS FOR REPAIRS; WHICH MAY IMPLY THAT THE LAST REPAIR WAS DESIGNED BETTER TO MASK THE TRIGGERING OF THE COMPUTER DIAGNOSTICS. THE PROBLEM REMAINS THAT THE CAR HAS A DELAY IN ACCELERATION WITH THE GAS PEDAL FULLY DEPRESSED AND THEN ONCE ENGAGED, JUMPS FORWARD. THE DELAY AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS, STOP SIGNS AND HIGHWAY RAMPS PUTS THE CAR IN DANGER OF BEING REAR ENDED OR T-BONED ONCE THE CAR WANDERS INTO THE INTERSECTION WITHOUT ACCELERATION POWER. THE ABRUPT ENGAGEMENT OF ACCELERATION PUTS THE CAR AT RISK OF LOSING CONTROL. ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS IN THE PAST HAVE INCLUDED THE CAR REVVING AT A HIGH RPM AS IF THE CAR COULD NOT SHIFT TO THE NEXT GEAR. PLEASE NOTE THE DATE BELOW WAS THE LATEST DATE, BUT THE CAR HAS HAD THE PROBLEM SINCE PURCHASE; THEREFORE THE MILES ON THE NEXT PAGE REFLECT THE FIRST INCIDENT, AND THE DATE REFLECTS THE LAST DATE I DROVE THE CAR.
WHILE ACCELERATING AFTER A STOP LIGHT, THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERED VIOLENTLY BEFORE 'KICKING INTO GEAR' AND ACCELERATING LIKE EXPECTED. I AM FILING THIS AND DESCRIBING A FAILURE THIS MORNING, BUT IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS AS WELL. IT SOMETIMES STALLS A BIT BEFORE THE GEARS ENGAGE AND IT STARTS TO ACCELERATE. OFTEN, THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE WHEN RIGHT ON THE BORDER BETWEEN GEARS. THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLE.
THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERED AND DELAYED PROPULSION SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2011-12. TOOK IT TO DEALERS NUMEROUS TIMES FOR "UPDATES" AND LISTENED TO A VARIETY OF EXCUSES AS TO WHY THE SHUDDERING-- BUT THEY NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM. EVENTUALLY, LAST MONTH A DAY AFTER MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WARNED OF TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS, THE FIESTA STOPPED PROPELLING MY CAR NUMEROUS TIMES ON THE WAY HOME. AFTER STOPPING ALONG THE HIGHWAY FOR A COUPLE MINUTES, THE CAR WOULD MOVE FORWARD AGAIN. MY CAR NOW SEATS IN MY GARAGE, UNDRIVEABLE WITH AN APPARENTLY FAILED TRANSMISSION. SERVICE CENTER THAT JUST EXAMINED THE PROBLEM QUOTED ME $4,400 TO INSTALL NEW TRANSMISSION!
ERRATIC SHIFTING UPON ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION, CLUTCH SHUDDERING ON LIGHT ACCELERATION, LACK OF POWER, AND CAR JOSTLING FORWARD WHEN BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS FOLLOWED BY ALMOST STALLING. THIS JOSTLING REQUIRES ME TO PRESS THE BRAKE HARD TO PREVENT A SUDDEN FORWARD-JERKING MOTION. THE JOSTLING/JERKING OFTEN HAPPENS WHEN DECELERATING AT INTERSECTIONS, MAKING IT DANGEROUS FOR CARS AND PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME IF I DO NOT PRESS THE BRAKE HARD BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. SINCE EARLY JULY, THE CAR EXHIBITS THE SAME SYMPTOMS ALL THE TIME WHEN DRIVING, MAKING IT GENERALLY UNSAFE FOR REGULAR USE. SEE UPLOADED VEHICLE SERVICE ASSESSMENT FROM FORD - THEY DETERMINED THAT THERE IS A CLUTCH AND CLUTCH FORK B FAILURE BUT NO CODES RELATED TO THIS CONCERN WERE PRESENT DURING THEIR DIAGNOSIS. THE CARE WAS RELEASED AND DEEMED "DRIVABLE" BY THE DEALERSHIP.
THE CAR CONSTANTLY SURGES FORWARD AT DANGEROUS SPEEDS AND WON'T SLOW DOWN EVEN WHEN SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER THE YEARS BUT IS HAPPENING MUCH MORE IN THE PAST YEAR. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. THERE WERE SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHEN I NARROWLY MISSED SLAMMING INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I'VE ALSO BEEN THRUST INTO A BUSY INTERSECTION. YOU MUST FORCE FORD TO RECALL AND REPLACE THESE DANGEROUS DPS6 TRANSMISSIONS BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. THEY AND YOU HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE BEEN PUTTING MORE THAN A MILLION CAR OWNERS AND OTHERS AT RISK. PLEASE DO SOMETHING NOW! WHILE IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING OVER THE YEARS, THE MOST RECENT NEAR COLLISION WAS IN A BUSY INTERSECTION IN CHICAGO ON JULY 8, 2019. THANK YOU. THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE WARNING HAS GONE ON NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE YEARS AND CAUSES THE CAR TO SLOW TO 5 MPH UNTIL THE COMPUTER IS RESET.
UPON SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL AND OR JUST ENGAGING THE CLUTCH THE ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF, USUALLY AS I APPROACH A STOP LIGHT OR AM IN A PARKING LOT. SOMETIMES IT IS A ROUGH STOP LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT FULLY DISENGAGED, BUT MOST OFTEN IT IS SMOOTH AS IF TURNING OF THE CAR WITH THE KEY. THE SILENT SHUT DOWN OCCURS BOTH WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, ANY WHERE FROM 1-70 MPH, AND WHEN A COMPLETE STOP HAS BEEN REACHED. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN AT LEAST TWO DOZEN TIMES IN THE 2.5 YEARS I HAVE DRIVEN THIS CAR. APPROXIMATELY, 80% OF THE TIME IT IS THE 'SILENT SHUT DOWN', WHERE I DO NOT EVEN NOTICE THE CAR IS NOT RUNNING UNTIL I PUT THE CAR BACK INTO GEAR AND TRY TO ACCELERATE. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN REAR ENDED AT STOP LIGHTS IN TRAFFIC SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED AT ALL TIMES OF THE YEAR WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER BOTH ON AND OFF, BUT IT IS MUCH MORE PREVALENT IN THE WARM WEATHER WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER RUNNING. IN THE PAST WEEK IT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES ALL OF WHICH WERE WITH THE AIR ON, AND THE ENGINE SILENTLY SHUT DOWN.
BOTH OF MY REAR DOOR LATCHES STOPPED LATCHING. BOTH OCCURRED AS THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE ORIGINAL LATCHES, HOWEVER A DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THEY WERE REPLACED AND MY CURRENT LATCHES NO LONGER FALL UNDER THE RECALL. HOWEVER, HAVING BOTH REAR DOOR LATCHES MALFUNCTION LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THE SAFETY OF THE REPLACED LATCHES SHOULD ALSO BE LOOKED INTO.

THE CAR SPONTANEOUSLY STARTED ON FIRE WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. SMOKE AND SMALL FLAMES STARTED UNDER THE HOOD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE. WITHIN MINUTES OF STOPPING, THE CAR WENT UP IN FLAMES. MY GRAND DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING..SHE AND HER PASSENGER WERE NOT HURT LUCKILY. WE BOUGHT THIS CAR USED AND THERE WAS NO RECALL FROM FORD ALTHOUGH WE DID RESEARCH AFTER THE FIRE AND THEY DID HAVE PROBLEMS WITH FIRES. OUR INSURANCE DID AN INVESTIGATION BUT THE CAR WAS BURNED SO BADLY THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND THE ORIGIN.
TRANSMISSION NOT WORKING. TOOK TO DEALER SAID EXTENDED TO TCM WOULD BE COVERED BUT NOT MALFUNCTIONING. CLUTCH AND INTERNAL ASSEMBLY IS FAILING.CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AND DEALER SUGGESTED ME TO CALL FORD. THIS IS RIDUCULOUS. CAR HAS ACTUALLY BEEN PARKED FOR 3 MONTHS BECAUSE WE WERE AFRAID TO DRIVE. AFAID I WILL BE IN AN ACCIDENT IF I DRIVE THIS CAR AND I WILL HOLD FORD FULLY RESPONSIBLE IF THIS HAPPENS. I AM CONSIDERING LOOKING FOR AN ATTORNEY
PASSENGER BACK DOOR WILL NOT LATCH/CLOSE . I WAS NOT DRIVING, I WAS TRYING TO GET SOMETHING OUT THE BACK SEAT, WENT TO CLOSE THE DOOR AND NOTICED IT WOULD NOT CLOSE ANYMORE THE LATCH IS BROKEN, I GOT THE CAR LAST YEAR SO I WAS UNAWARE OF ANY RECALLS. MY DOOR WON'T STAY CLOSE MAKING IT HARD TO DRIVE
THE ENGINE MALFUNCTION SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE SORRY BOTTLE POSITION SENSOR KEEPS ON SAYING IT'S SPELT FAULTY, BUT WHEN I REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AND REPLACED THE GAS PEDAL IT WAS STILL HAVING ISSUES, AND NOW I'M BARELY GETTING TO AND FROM WORK ANYMORE OR ANYWHERE ELSE, EVEN DOWN THE STREET BECAUSE IT CONTINUES TO PUT ITSELF IN SAFE MODE. SO I AM OUT FOR A THOUGHT OF BODY AND A GAS PEDAL, AND IT'S STILL NOT FIXED THE ISSUE
EXCESSIVE "SHUDDERING" IN DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION WHEN PULLING AWAY FROM A STOP. THIS IS A WIDELY-KNOWN DESIGN DEFECT, BUT FORD HAS NOT DONE ENOUGH TO HELP AFFECTED CUSTOMERS. EVERY FORD TECHNICIAN OPENLY ACKNOWLEDGES THAT IT'S A DESIGN FLAW, AND THEY KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE CAR CAN STOP DEAD IN ITS TRACKS ON A HIGHWAY WHEN THE CLUTCH FAILS. A RECALL IS WARRANTED.
I LEASED AND THEN PURCHASED MY VEHICLE BRAND NEW 8 YEARS AGO. AT AROUND 3,000 MILES, I BEGAN HAVING BRAKING ISSUES. I WOULD GO TO BREAK AND THE PEDAL WOULD ALMOST TOUCH THE FLOOR BEFORE THE VEHICLE WOULD STOP. IT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT SO I TOOK IT IMMEDIATELY TO THE DEALERSHIP. IT TOOK ME 3 SEPARATE VISITS TO GET IT PROPERLY DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED BY FORD. TURNED OUT, THE VEHICLE HAD A FAILED MASTER CYLINDER AND HAD TO HAVE A NEW ONE INSTALLED. NOW, 7 YEARS AND ABOUT 84K MILES LATER, I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES. I AM UNABLE TO SAFELY STOP THE CAR, ESPECIALLY AT HIGH SPEEDS. I HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED MY VEHICLE WELL. I TOOK IT TO TWO DIFFERENT MECHANICS THAT STATED THE MASTER CYLINDER ONCE AGAIN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BUT STATED IT IS INCREDIBLE RARE FOR THIS TO FAIL IN ANY VEHICLE. THEY WERE BOTH SURPRISED THAT IT HAD BEEN REPLACED ONCE BEFORE AFTER SO FEW MILES. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND HAS BEEN REOCCURRING ON THE VEHICLE. I CALLED FORD DIRECTLY AND THEY STATED UNTIL THE PART IS OFFICIALLY RECALLED, THEY ARE OFFERING NOT CONCESSION OR WARRANTY TO REPAIR THE PART. THIS PART RARELY FAILS IN VEHICLES AND LAST TYPICALLY AT LEAST 125K MILES. I WILL NOW HAVE HAD TWO IN LESS THAN 87K MILES. IT IS NOT A REPAIR YOU CAN AVOID FIXING EITHER AS IT WILL NOT ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO SAFELY STOP ONCE THE ISSUE BEGINS.
THE VEHICLES TRANSMISSION ABRUPTLY DOWN SHIFTED WHILE DRIVING AT A HIGH SPEED. I ALMOST WAS REAR ENDED HAD I NOT MOVED ASIDE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS OF FAULTY TRANSMISSION AND ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WHERE IT STEMS FROM. I WAS A DIE HARD FORD OWNER UNTIL FORD REFUSES TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. MAINTENANCE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON TIME, AND NOT JUST OIL CHANGES.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PARIS FORD LINCOLN, INC. LOCATED AT (2020 NE LOOP 286, PARIS, TX 75460) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,259.
EVEN THOUGH FORD STATES THE RECALL ON THE DOOR LATCHES WERE DONE, THE LATCHES ARE MALFUNCTIONING AGAIN AND THE DOORS POP OPEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD.

ALSO, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED WITHOUT WARNING AND THE TRANSMISSION INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO KENNY ROSS FORD SOUTH (412-881-0001, LOCATED AT 3200 LIBRARY RD, CASTLE SHANNON, PA 15234) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HAPPENS WITHIN 1ST MILE DRIVEN EVERY TIME SINCE 80K MILES. 2) IN SNOW, THE PIECE OF BODY PLASTIC IN FRONT OF THE FRONT TIRES CAN GET CAUGHT AND DRAGGED UNDERNEATH THE FRONT TIRES. 3) ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS: FUSE BOX RUSTS, PRONGS BREAK OFF IN FUSE BOX. SOMETIMES PUSHING CLUTCH IN WOULD CAUSE LIGHTS TO DIM OR SPEAKER STATIC (MANUAL TRANSMISSION). PROBLEMATIC 12V (ALWAYS HOT) ROUTINELY BROKE 12V DEVICES. ALSO, MANUAL TRANSMISSION LEVER GETS TOO STICKY TO MOVE WITHOUT EXTREME FORCE UNPREDICTABLY, (STARTED AROUND 25,0000 MILES). EVERY TIME WAS TOLD TRANSMISSION FLUID LOOKS FINE. 5) HIGH PITCHED WHIRRING SOUND AND LOSS OF POWER WITH AC OR DEFROSTER, WORSE AS TIME WENT ON 6) CAR WAS SOLD BECAUSE COST TO REPAIR FAULTY DOOR SENSORS LEADING TO HEADLIGHTS NEVER TURNING OFF, THEREBY CAUSING BATTERY TO DRAIN BELOW 12V REGULARLY, EXCEEDED THE CAR'S VALUE. CAR WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION WITH THIS ISSUE & NEEDED FREQUENT JUMP STARTS. 7) EXTREME DISTRACTION: "SYNC" INTERFACE WILL CUT OFF STEREO AUDIO WITHOUT WARNING TO TRY AND CONNECT TO MOBILE PHONE FOR A VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. 8) AIR FLOW SENSOR GOES OFF FREQUENTLY STARTING AROUND 50,000 MILES, ONLY SOLUTION IS SPRAYING IN LOTS OF AIR FLOW SENSOR CLEANER. 9) DRIVERS SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER FELL OFF ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES, EVEN DEALERSHIP INSTALLED. SINCE I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED, I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES THAT ARE SEEMINGLY RELATED TO FORD'S DPS6 TRANSMISSION AND ELECTRICAL WIRING. MY GEARS SLIP OUT OF PLACE AND MY CAR DOESN'T SEEM TO WANT TO ACCELERATE OR SLOW DOWN PROPERLY. MY HORN AND FRONT WINDOWS DON'T WORK AND WE'VE TRIED SWITCHING FUSES AND CHECKING THE DOOR WIRING. IN RELATION TO THE TRANSMISSION, I WAS ON WESTBOUND I4 OUTSIDE OF DOWNTOWN ORLANDO AROUND 2:00 4/24/19 (MY BIRTHDAY) AND MY CAR ACCELERATED FORWARD AS I BRAKED, WHICH MADE ME HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THERE WERE NO CODES, NO LIGHTS, NO WARNINGS ON MY CAR AND IT'S UNDER 100,000 MILES. I WAS AS A RESULT FAULTED FOR MY ACCIDENT WHICH SKYROCKETED MY INSURANCE. WE SPENT MONEY FIXING THE DAMAGE FROM THE ACCIDENT, NOT REALIZING THAT FORD HAS BEEN LYING ABOUT THEIR TRANSMISSION. I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED AND HAVE HAD IT FOR LESS THAN A YEAR AND, THE PERSON WHO HAD IT BEFORE ME DROVE IT AS A WORK CAR. I ATTEMPTED TO BRING MY CAR IN ON 7/19, AS I FOUND AN ARTICLE FROM DETROIT FREE PRESS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM SAYING FORD DEALERSHIPS WOULD BE ABLE TO ATTEND TO THE ISSUE. I CALLED THREE DEALERSHIPS AND ONE HUNG UP ON ME AND THE OTHER TWO SAID THAT THEY COULDN'T HELP ME. I DO NOT FEEL DRIVING SAFE IN MY CAR AT THIS POINT AS FORD IS DODGING THE ISSUE AT HAND. I AM A 21 YEAR OLD SUPPORTING HERSELF AND I CANNOT AFFORD TO FIX ANYMORE ISSUES THAT HAPPEN BECAUSE OF THIS INSANELY UNBELIEVABLE ERROR FROM FORD.

DURING THE TIME I USED THE VEHICLE WHILE LIVING IN FLORIDA, THIS CONDITION WAS NOT WORRISOME AS ORLANDO, FL IS A FLAT TERRAIN. HOWEVER, SINCE MOVING TO THE CITY OF ATLANTA, GEORGIA I ENCOUNTER MANY INTERSECTIONS LOCATED IN HILLS, FOR EXAMPLE THE INTERSECTION OF BEECH HAVEN TRAIL AND CUMBERLAND PKWY SE; WHEN AT THE TIME OF ACCELERATION BEFORE TURNING, THE VEHICLE JERKS AND DOES NOT IMMEDIATELY ACCELERATE, PUTTING MY LIFE AT RISK, SINCE I CAN EASILY BE CRASHED INTO BY THE INCOMING TRAFFIC DUE TO THE DELAY. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR YEARS, I HAVE NOT BEEN SATISFIED SINCE THIS DEFECT HAS BEEN PRESENT FROM THE TIME THE VEHICLE WAS NEW AND HAS NOT BEEN FIXED AFTER VARIOUS VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIP. "TAKATA RECALL" OUT OF THE BLUE, MY CAR WOULDN'T GO INTO REVERSE ANYMORE. I TOOK IT TO A PLACE TO HAVE IT PUT ON THE MACHINE, AND THE REPORT CAME BACK THAT IT WAS MY CLUTCH FORK AND CLUTCH POSITION B, THAT NEEDED TO BE LOOKED AT AND CHECKED. WHEN I STARTED CALLING AROUND TO DIFFERENT CAR SHOPS, I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL MY EXACT SAME 2011 FORD FIESTA AND THAT THE RECALL WAS DEALING WITH THE SAME TROUBLES I'M HAVING. MY CAR ONLY HAS 64,000 MILES ON IT.

I HAVE TWO ISSUES ON MY CAR. THE FIRST AND MOST CONCERNING ONE TO ME IS JITTERING IN THE DRIVETRAIN UP FRONT WHEN TAKING OFF. FEELS LIKE ITS SLIPPING IN BETWEEN GEARS. WHILE DKING THIS IT SOUNDS LIKE METAL COMPONENTS ROLLING CLOSE TO EACH OTHER AS IF THERE WERE SOME SLOP ALLOWING THEM TO FLOAT AROUND SOME. THATS ALL AS FAR AS DRIVETRAIN. MY SECOND ISSUE IS THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL AREA ON CERTAIN BUMPS FEELS AND SOUNDS LIKE A STRUTT OR SHOCK HAS WEAR ON IT AND ALLOWING IT TO MAKE FREQUENT THUMPING NOISES WHILE GOING OVER THESE BUMPS. QUITE OFTEN WITH WORN ROADS WHERE I RESIDE. OTHER THAN THESE ISSUES ITS BEEN A REALLY GOOD GAS SAVING CAR. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING WITH MY VEHICLE. I HAVE A 2011 FORD FIESTA. IT IS A MANUAL. I RECENTLY GOT MY BATTERY REPLACED THINKING THAT THAT WOULD HAVE POSSIBLY SOLVED THE ISSUE BUT IT HAS PERSISTED. OIL CHANGES/TUNE UPS DON'T FIX IT EITHER. I'M UNSURE OF WHAT THE EXACT ISSUE IS, BUT I DID SEE THAT FORD IS RECALLING THEIR FOCUS MODELS FROM 2012-2018 FOR AN ISSUE THAT SOUNDS EXACTLY WHAT I'M EXPERIENCING. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE THEM OPEN UP THEIR INVESTIGATION TO POSSIBLY INCLUDE FIESTA'S LIKE MINE BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO BE A RELATED ISSUE.
