ELECTRICAL SHORT OF POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FIESTA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS OPEN. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR UNSUCCESSFULLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR HAD TO BE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE OF THE SAME FAILURE THREE YEARS AGO. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
MY FORD FIESTA 2012 WAS PART OF RECALL 15S16 FOR LATCH FAILURE. ON 9/15/2018 MY LEFT REAR LATCH FAILED WHILE DRIVING. FORD IS CLAIMING THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT UNDER RECALL, BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP FIXED THE PROBLEM BEFORE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THAT EITHER THE RECALL WAS NOT PERFORMED AS STATED OR IT WAS FIXED WITH DEFECTIVE PARTS. FORD AT THIS TIME IS UNWILLING TO ADDRESS THIS SAFETY ISSUE AND SATISFY THE RECALL.
WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE WILL ACCELERATE WILDLY, APPEARING TO BE IN NEUTRAL. CAR WILL THEN POP INTO GEAR. TOOK IT IN AND THEY SAID IT WAS A TRANSMISSION MODULE. THEY FIXED IT AND LESS THAN A MONTH LATER SAME THING HAPPENS. TOOK IT BACK, IT WAS SAME TRANSMISSION MODULE. SERVICE TECH AT FORD SAID TO GET RID OF IT AS IT IS GOING TO CONTINUE TO HAPPEN
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I WAS A 24 YEAR OLD SINGLE FEMALE WHEN I WENT TO THE FOX FORD DEALERSHIP IN GRAND RAPIDS, MI IN EARLY 2012. WHEN I SAW THE FORD FIESTA IN THE SHOWROOM I THOUGHT IT WAS 'CUTE.' I TEST DROVE IT AND THOUGHT IT SOUNDED A LITTLE LOUD BUT DIDN'T REALLY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS SO I IGNORED IT AND TOLD THE SALESMAN I WANTED TO START THE PURCHASE PROCESS. I ENDED UP LEASING THE CAR IN MARCH 2012. BY SEPTEMBER 2012, I MOVED TO ARIZONA AND TOOK A JOB WITH CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES. I STARTED NOTICING MY CAR JERKED A LOT AROUND 20,000 MILES (EARLY 2013). WHENEVER I WENT IN FOR MY OIL CHANGE AT EARNHARDT FORD IN CHANDLER, AZ I MENTIONED THE SHUDDERING AND JERKING OF THE CAR. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS JUST A 'CHARACTERISTIC' OF THE CAR AND IT COULDN'T BE FIXED. I MENTIONED THIS MULTIPLE TIMES BUT WHEN THE TECHNICIAN WOULD LOOK AT THE CAR, IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY. THE CAR STARTED TO GET WORSE AND BEING A CHILDREN'S CASE MANAGER MEANT THAT I HAD TO DRIVE CHILDREN AROUND FREQUENTLY FOR MY JOB. I STARTED TO FEAR THAT I WOULD GET IN AN ACCIDENT WHEN TURNING SINCE THAT IS WHEN MY CAR WOULD SHUDDER AND STOP WHEN TRYING TO MAKE A TURN FROM A STOPPED POSITION. I KNEW THAT I NEEDED TO START DOCUMENTING THE ISSUES IN CASE ANYTHING WERE TO HAPPEN.
BAD TRANSMISSION SYSTEM. LOUD SHUDDERING NOISES ALL THE TIME, JERKING SHIFTS WHEN STARTING FROM STOP AND THE CAR GOES TO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING IN A HIGHWAY. NOT ONLY ANNOYING BUT FEELS UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE.

THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF IN ORDER TO STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND THEN TOWED THE FOLLOWING DAY TO AUTOMAX FORD (3301 E CENTRAL TEXAS EXPRESSWAY, KILLEEN, TX 76543) WHERE THE TOTAL CONTROL MODULE WAS REPROGRAMMED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWO OTHER TIMES SINCE JULY OF 2018. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND FILED CASE NUMBER: CAS-15591505. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
I BOUGHT A 2012 FORD FIESTA .I MADE A CLUTCH THAT WENT OUT TOOK IT TO THE SHOP .THE HALF FIX IT NOW I'M OUT OF WARRANTERY I WILL NEVER BY A FORD AGAIN .....

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 189,213.
WHEN: ON JULY 31ST 2018 DURING DRIVE HOME AFTER DARK ON RURAL WISCONSIN HIGHWAY BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS SIMULTANEOUSLY FAILED IN 2012 FORD FIESTA LEAVING DRIVER NO OPTION BUT TO USE HIGH BEAMS FOR REMAINDER OF DRIVE. FAULT: THE LOSS OF BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS SIMULTANEOUSLY CREATED A DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR A DRIVER, AND ONCOMING DRIVERS ON RURAL HIGHWAYS. CAUSE: DEALERSHIP IDENTIFIED THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM; DUE TO RELAY PINS IN FUSE BOX CORRODED OFF DUE TO CORROSION ' HAD TO REPLACE ENGINE FUSE BOX UNDER HOOD BECAUSE THE PIN WAS CORRODED OFF IN THE FUSE BOX AND COULD NOT BE REMOVED. ADDITIONAL FUSE RELAYS ALSO SHOWING CORROSION. FORD HAS ISSUED THE FOLLOWING FOR THE 2011 FORD FIESTAS WHICH IS RELATED TO CORROSION AND LOSS OF EXTERIOR LIGHTING. UNFORTUNATELY, NOTHING IS BEING DONE CURRENTLY FOR MODEL YEAR 2012 FIESTAS. IN CANADA, ACCUMULATION OF DUST DEPOSITS WHICH CONTAIN DEICING SALTS IN THE PROVINCES INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL THAT CAN CAUSE CORROSION OF FUSE AND WIRING TERMINALS IN THE BATTERY JUNCTION BOX THAT MAY RESULT IN THE LOSS OF ELECTRICAL CONNECTIVITY IN SOME WIRING CIRCUITS. IT IS RIDICULOUS FOR A 6 YEAR OLD VEHICLE TO LOSE BOTH HEADLIGHTS DUE TO ELECTRICAL, AND CORROSION ISSUES! THE REPAIR WAS CLOSE TO 1,500.
THIS CAR HAA TROUBLE GOING THE SPEED OF TRAFFIC. IT TAKES VERY LONG TO GAIN SPEED AS WELL AS BREAK AND ALSO JERKS UNCONTROLLABLY.
MY VEHICLE WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY AND I OPENED THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR TO REMOVE SOMETHING FROM MY BACKSEAT. WHEN I SHUT THE DOOR, IT POPPED BACK OPEN AND WOULD NOT STAY CLOSED. AFTER TAKING THE CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP, I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE DOOR LATCH AND SINCE IT HAD BEEN RECALLED AND REPLACED PREVIOUSLY, IT WOULD BE FREE. TODAY I TOOK MY CAR TO HAVE THE REPAIR DONE AND WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE OF $233 + TAX.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUDDERED, HESITATED TO ACCELERATE, JERKED, AND VIBRATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WAXAHACHIE FORD(2401 NORTH INTERSTATE 35, WAXAHACHIE, TX). THE DEALER REPROGRAMMED THE POWER TRAIN SOFTWARE AND THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR THE SAME FAILURES MORE THAN TEN TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
TAKATA RECALL, A MESSAGE WILL APPEAR AND SAY ENGINE MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW. AND WHEN IT DO APPEAR THE CAR SLOWS DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AND THE THROTTLE PEDAL WILL NOT WORK EVEN AFTER YOU HAVE HAD THE CAR SERVICED, WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS.
I TOOK MY CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP TO TAKE ACTION ON RECALL 14M01. THEY REPLACED THE CLUTCH UNDER WARRANTY AND RETURNED MY CAR TO ME. A DAY LATER MY CAR FLASHED A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WHILE I WAS 45 MINUTES AWAY FROM HOME ON THE HIGHWAY. CODES THAT CAME UP WERE ADDRESSED & THE VEHICLES CONDITION WORSENED UNTIL IT WENT FULLY INTO LIMP MODE WHILE RETURNING FROM AN ATTEMPT TO RESTART THE COMPUTER.
THIS FORD FIESTA HAS MANY PROBLEMS I HAVE SPEND OVER 1300 DOLLARS THIS CAR HAS MANY SAFETY ISSUES. THE DOORS POPED OPEN WHILE DRIVING THIS CAR. I CONTACTED FORD AND THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS NOT CARING SHE STATED IT'S OUT OF THEIR WARRANTY . I EXPLAINED TO HER THAT THE DOORS CAME OPEN WITH MY TWO YEAR OLD IN BACK SEAT IN A CAR SEAT COULD HAVE FELL OUT. I ALSO TOLD HER THE CAR STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. IT'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION ON THIS CAR. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE AND I WOULD LIKE THIS LOOKED INTO. I WAS TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY ALL AMERICAN IN FAYETTEVILLE NC.
OK WHEN I GOTTEN THIS CAR I TOOK IT TO GET REPAIRED 4 TIMES MY DOOR LATCHES ARE BROKEN SO WHEN I DRIVE A DOOR FLYS OPEN WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING I ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR A YEAR NOW I HAD ONE ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF MY DOOR UNLOCKING TRYIN TO HOLD IT CLOSE SO I CAN PULL OVER AND I GOTTEN IT FIXED BEFORE FOR ONE DOOR NOW I HAVE ANOTHER DOOR OR THE RIGHT SIDE CAUSING THE SAME PROBLEMS ALSO WHEN I PRESS ON MY GAS IT STOPS WHEN I'M NOT EVEN IN PARK AND THAT ALSO CAUES A PROBLEM

GOT IN AM ACCIDENT. WAS HIT ON MY PASSENGER FRONT SIDE. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. NOT EVEN MY CURTAIN AIRBAGS. I WAS IN MOTION AT TIME OF ACCIDENT. I WAS ON A CITY STREET
THE FUSE BOX IS GETTING MOISTURE CAUSING HEADLIGHTS NOT TO WORK PROPERLY AND NO FUSES OR RELAYS CAN BE CHANGED BECAUSE THEY ARE CORRODED IN THE BOX. CAR LOSES POWER, RADIO CAUGHT FIRE, DOORS LOCK ON THERE OWN OR DON'T LOCK AT ALL, MAJOR MALFUNCTION OF ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. 2011 AND 2013 WERE RECALLED FOR THIS ISSUE. WHY WASN'T 2012? CAR HAS ISSUES WHILE DRIVING AND IT'S GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF NOT TAKEN CARE OF.
WE BOUGHT OUR 2012 FORD FIESTA ABOUT A 2 YEARS AGO. SINCE THEN WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO 2 MECHANICS AND THE PROBLEMS PERSIST. THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS AND LURCHES FORWARD AT RANDOM. THE CAR HAS MAJOR ISSUES ACCELERATING AND HAS ALMOST GOTTEN US IN MANY ACCIDENTS. THE CAR SEEMS LIKE IT GETS STUCK IN A LOWER GEAR AND WILL NOT MOVE OUT OF IT EVEN AS YOUR FOOT IS PRESSED ALL THE WAY DOWN.
TRANSMISSION DOES NOT ENGAGE OR DISENGAGE WHEN IT'S SUPPOSED TO. SLOW TO START FROM A COMPLETE STOP; HARD TO ACCELERATE FOR PASSING; LATE TO STOP BECAUSE DOWNSHIFTING IS LATE.
TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN PROBLEM WAS DETECTED.
PASSENGER SIDE FRONT DOOR WILL NOT SHUT DUE TO FAULTY LATCH MECHANISM. VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVEN DUE TO THIS SAFETY ISSUE UNTIL REPAIRED.
WE HAVE A 2012 FORD FIESTA. WHEN WE ARE DRIVING THE CAR TI SHAKES WHEN IT GOES TO CHANGE GEARS, IT IS AN AUTOMATIC. WE'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES. THE DEALERSHIP USED TO TELL US IT WAS THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. THEY HAVE CLEANED IT AND REPLACED IT. THE CAR CONTINUED TO HAVE THE ISSUE. I TOOK THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM TO CHECK THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY. THEY DID AND REPLACED THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY SAYING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. THE CAR DROVE DECENT FOR ABOUT A MONTH THEN WE WENT BACK TO THE PROBLEM OF LOSING POWER IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION AND THEN ACCELERATING TOO FAST AFTER THE LOSS OF POWER. NOW THE CAR WILL REV UP WHEN IN PARK AND CONTINUES TO HAVE THE SHUTTERING PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP SEEMS TO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.
AT APPROXIMATELY 6:30 AM ON OCTOBER 2, 2017 I LEFT FOR WORK. ABOUT 1 MILE DOWN THE ROAD I SUDDENLY LOSS POWER STEERING. I WAS TRAVELLING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AND WAS NEGOTIATING A CURVE AT THE TIME OF FAILURE. I FAILED TO NEGOTIATE THE CURVE AND VEERED OFF THE ROAD COMING TO A STOP BEFORE HAVING A COLLISION WITH ANY TREES. I LOOKED AT MY DASH AND THERE WAS A DIGITAL MESSAGE THAT READ POWER STEERING FAULT. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTED SO I RETURNED HOME DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH. I WAS ABOUT 1.5 MILES FROM A 9% DOWNGRADE WITH SHARP CURVES; HAD THIS FAULT HAPPENED AT THAT POINT I SURELY WOULD HAVE IMPACTED A GUARD RAIL AT BEST OR GONE OFF OVER A CLIFF AT WORST.

WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD THE DOOR LATCH QUIT WORKING ON 3 OF 4 DOORS. LAST YEAR THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LATCH RELEASED WHILE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS PAST WEEK THE LATCH ON THE LEFT PASSENGER DOOR QUIT WORKING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND I ALSO CALLED FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND THEY STATED THIS VIN ISN'T CURRENTLY LISTED AS PART OF THEIR DOOR LATCH RECALL. THIS VEHICLE WAS BUILT IN THE CUAUTITLN ASSEMBLY PLANT WHICH ACCORDING TO FORD MEDIA CENTER IS THE PLANT RESPONSIBLE FOR FAULTY DOOR LATCHES.
DOOR LATCH HAS BECOME WEAK AND IT IS NOT PROPERLY WORKING CAUSING THE DOOR TO SWING OPEN AND NEVER SHUTTING

RAMEY FORD PRINCETON (498 COURTHOUSE RD, PRINCETON, WV 24739, (304) 425-2128) INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED ONE YEAR AGO PER AN UNSPECIFIED MANUFACTURER POWER TRAIN/TRANSMISSION CAMPAIGN AND THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED AT THAT TIME. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE PART NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY POWER TRAIN RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,500. **TR CONSUMER STATED I HAVE HAD THE CAR 5 YEARS AND THE CLUTCHES IN TRANSMISSION HAS WENT OUT 2 TIMES AND THEN NOW IS GOING OUT AGAIN. I THINK ITS WRONG THAT THEY CAN'T FIX IT RIGHT. UPDATED 11/1/18*JB

IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SUN RISE FORD (9435 US-1, FORT PIERCE, FL 34982) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,800.
SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH
WHEN IT RAINS THE DOORS OR WINDOWS LEAKS AND THE INSIDE GETS MOLD ALL OVER. I HAD THE DOOR LATCHES FIXED BECAUSE WHEN I TRIED TO SHUT THE REAR PASSENGER WOULD NOT SHUT, OPENED UP WHEN I WAS ABOUT THREE BLOCKS FROM MY HOUSE ALREADY AND I HAVE TAKEP IT IN FOR THE TRANSMISSION TWICE. THE CLUTCH DOESN'T SHIFT WHEN IT SUPPOSED TO, WHEN AT LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS.
LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING, PROBLEM OCCURRED 4 TIMES IN THE SPAN OF DRIVING 10 MILES, STRUGGLED TO GET HOME. OCCURRED WHILE ON FREEWAY, AT RED LIGHT, AND HIGH SPEED OR SLOW SPEED DID NOT MATTER. CAR WOULD DING THE ALERT SOUND, SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS WOULD FLASH, AND I WOULD BE IMMEDIATELY BE FORCED TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF ROAD EACH TIME. THREE INSTANCES POSED SERIOUS RISK TO OTHERS AS MY CAR LOST MOMENTUM BEFORE SAFELY MAKING IT OFF THE ROAD, AND OTHER CARS HAD TO MOVE AROUND MY CAR. PROBLEM MATCHES THE MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATION BELOW FROM 2015, WHICH MEANS THIS HAS BEEN A LONG TERM DESIGN FLAW. THIS NEEDS TO BE MARKED AS A SAFETY RECALL. I TRADED MY CUBE FOR FIESTA. THERE ARE TWO RECALLS I FOUND THE ATTACHED IN THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT. I TOOK IT TO SLOAN FORD. THEY TOLD ME IF IT DOESN'T MEET THE SPECIFICATIONS OF A RECALL THEY WON'T DO THE REPAIR WORK. TUES THEY PROVIDED A SHUTTLE SERVICE. I NEED THE CAR TO WORK. THE CAR WON'T KICK IN FROM STOP TO START. IT'S A CONCERN TO ME AT A STOP LIGHT. THE WINDOW COVER IN PASSENGER SIDE DOG CHEWED ON THE HANDLE WON'T GET REPLACED. ALSO THE WINDOW SWITCH ON FRONT PASSENDER WON'T CLOSE. I'M CONCERNED, I WANT TO KEEP THE CAR, BUT I CAN'T HAVE IT STALL OUT ON ME. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THEY'D GIVE FREE REPAIR AND LOANER CAR. I GOT IT FROM ROBERTS HONDA IN DOWNINGTOWN, AND HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SLOAN FORD. IT LOOKS LIKE PRIOR OWNER HAD IT LOOKED AT DIDN'T BRING IT IN FOR THE REPAIR. I ALSO WASN'T GIVEN A SECOND KEY TO THE CAR. KINDLY HELP. IT NEEDS TO KICK IN.. THERE'S A TRANSMISSION SHUTTER AND CLUTCH REPAIR JOB. I WANT TO BE SAFE IN THE CAR. SERVICE ADVISOR SOUNDED LIKE HE DIDN'T WANT TO DO THE WORK. I NEED THE INFORMATION ON THE WARRANTY 3YR/36000 CAN'T GET IT. IF I'M AT A LIGHT AND STARTING UP, IT FEELS LIKE A MACHINE GUN RIFLE.... THE CAT LIGHT CAME ON ONE TIME ON DASH TOO. THE STRINK TO HOLD UP THE TRUNK LIFT WAS GIVEN WITH DUCT TAPE ON IT.
DOOR LATCH STOPPED WORKING ENTIRELY WHILE CAR WAS IN PARK WITH NO HARSH HANDLING OF THE DOOR WHATSOEVER. DOOR WAS BEING CLOSED GENTLY WHEN IT BOUNCED BACK WHICH IS WHEN WE REALIZED THAT IT WAS NOT LATCHING OR CLOSING AT ALL. CAR WAS IN PARK AND TURNED OFF. I BELIEVE THE DOOR LATCH WAS FAULTY, AND THERE MIGHT BE MECHANICS THAT ARE NOT WORKING FOR THE LATCH.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR UP AN INCLINED THE CAR IDLE UP SO LOUD AND DID NOT ALLOW ME TO ACCELERATE ONCE THE CAR WAS LEVEL TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC. I BEEN HAVING PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR FOR SO LONG. THE MANAGER TOLD ME THAT'S THE WAY THE CAR DRIVE IT NEW. I KEPT TALKING THIS CAR BACK LIKE EVERY MONTH SOMETHING ELSE WOULD HAPPEN. THE LATCH ON THE DRIVER SIDE, WATER LEAK ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE, WATER LEAK IN THE TRUNK WERE IT STARTED TO MOLD. TRUNK LATCH HARD TO OPEN. TOOK IT TO FORD IN JOLIET NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. THEY TEST DROVE THE CAR AND SAID IT'S FINE. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION LIFE TIME WARRANTY. I'M HERE AGAIN TO GET THE TRUNK FIXED WATER STILL GETS IN IT. THE KEY REMOTE IS NOT WORKING.
LEFT REAR DOOR LATCH FAILED, ALLOWING THE DOOR TO OPEN WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING OPERATED. THE LATCH MECHANISM IS INOPERATIVE NOW AND THE DOOR MUST BE HELD CLOSED USING CARGO STRAPS THROUGH THE OPEN WINDOW AND OVER THE ROOF AND BACK THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW FRAME. I CONTACTED FORD ABOUT THIS ISSUE ADVISING THEM THAT THE 2012 FIESTA HAS A RECALL REGARDING THIS ISSUE BUT WAS TOLD BY SERVICE ADVISOR GARY DAVIS @ NORTH CENTRAL FORD 972-231-3491 THAT THE EXISTING RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR VEHICLE AND THAT I SHOULD COME IN TO GET AN ESTIMATE FOR REPAIRING THE VEHICLE.

THE CONTACT THOUGHT THAT SHE HAD NOT LOCKED THE DOOR CORRECTLY, BUT THE FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOORS OPENED WITHOUT WARNING THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE ON 04/18/2017, THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR OF THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY OPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. I RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S16 ON JANUARY 2016 REGARDING THIS ISSUE THAT STATED: "IT MAY BE POSSIBLE FOR THE PAWL SPRING TAB INSIDE ONE OR MORE OF THE SIDE DOOR LATCHES IN THE VEHICLE TO BREAK, PREVENTING THE DOOR FROM LATCHING". THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT OCCURRED TO ME TODAY ON 04/18. SHORTLY AFTER RECEIVING THE RECALL NOTICE, I CONTACTED A FORD DEALERSHIP IN THE KANSAS CITY METRO AREA WHERE I WAS LIVING AND THEY STATED THAT PARTS WERE SO BACK ORDERED AND "TO TRY AGAIN IN A FEW MONTHS". AS LIFE MOVED ON, I PUT THIS ON THE BACKBURNER AND RELOCATED TO OMAHA, NE FOR A NEW JOB. TODAY I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN REGARDING THIS CONCERN AND THEY APPEAR TO BE REPLACING THE FAILURE OF THE LATCHING MECHANISM, BUT DID NOT HAVE PARTS IN STOCK AND DID NOT OFFER A RENTAL VEHICLE WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS UNDER REPAIR AS THE WARRANTY NOTICE IMPLIES. I SHARE THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE I AM HIGHLY CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS THAT DO NOT RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH THAT THE FAILURE OF MY DOOR LATCH TODAY DID NOT INJURE ANOTHER MOTORIST OR CAUSE INJURY, BUT I CAN GUARANTEE YOU IT MADE ME QUESTION THE RELIABILITY AND SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE WHICH IN WHICH I THOUGHT I COULD PLACE MY TRUST. IF ANYONE ELSE IS AFFECTED BY THIS MULTI-MILLION VEHICLE RECALL, PLEASE DO NOT DELAY OR ALLOW FORD DEALERSHIPS TO STALL ON REPAIRING THIS CRITICAL FAILURE THAT COULD LEAD TO SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS.
AT FIRST THE RADIO WOULD MAKE A LOUD POP AND THEN WOULD STOP WORKING. IF YOU SHUT CAR OFF THE RADIO WOULD COME BACK ON. IT DID THIS RANDOMLY FOR A MONTH. THE NEXT MONTH THE RADIO WOULD MAKE EAR PIERCING BURST OF SOUNDS WHILE RADIO WAS PLAYING THEN RADIO SHUT OFFF. THE EAR PIERCING SOUND WOULD LITERALLY SCARE THE BEJEEBERS OUT OF YOU. THE LOUD CRAZY BLASTS FROM THE RADIO COULD DEFINITELY CAUSE YOU TO HAVE A ACCIDENT SINCE IT JUST HAPPEN RANDOMLY AN VERY UNEXPECTEDLY. NOW MY RADIO WILL NOT COME ON AT ALL BUT THE SPEAKERS STILL MAKE NOISES WITH THE RADIO OFF EVEN WITH THE CAR OFF WITH NO KEYS IN THE CAR. IT HAS CAME ON SO MUCH IT IS RUNNING MY BATTERY DOWN. TODAY I PULLED THE RADIO FUSE TO HOPEFULLY KEEP MY BATTERY FROM DIEING. THE RADIO NOISES HAPPEN AT ALL TIMES DRIVING, STATIONARY AND WHILE CAR WAS TURNED OFF.
THIS IS THE SECOND DOOR LATCH I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE IN TWO YEARS. I HAD ALL OF THE DOOR LATCHES REPLACED IN SEP 2015 ACCORDING TO THE RECALL FROM FORD. THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH FAILED TO LATCH AGAIN ON 4/8/2017. THE DEALER AND FORD ARE CLAIMING THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS LATCH AND I WILL NEED TO PAY FOR THE NEW LATCH REPLACEMENT. THEY STATED THAT I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE RECALL TAKEN CARE AND THEY REPAIRED THE DOOR LATCH, THE SECOND TIME IT HAS BROKEN I AM REQUIRED TO PAY FOR THE PARTS AND LABOR. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND IN THE DRIVEWAY WHEN THE DOOR LATCH PROBLEM OCCURRED. I HAD TO TIE THE DOOR SHUT AND TAKE IT TO THE DEALER.
WHEN STARTING TO ACCELERATE, THERE IS NO POWER. THE TRANSMISSION THEN KICKS BACK AND IT GOES FLYING OVER 4000 RPMS BEFORE IT WILL SHIFT. WHILE DRIVING, IT WILL RANDOMLY GIVE A SLIGHT KICK AND LOSE POWER, DESPITE NOT INCREASING OR DECREASING PRESSURE ON THE GAS PEDAL. THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT REGARDING THIS, I THEN GOT IT "FIXED" UNDER WARRANTY (TOTAL REPLACEMENT OF THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY) BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM, AND THEY WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS OR EMAILS. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY EITHER. I BOUGHT THIS CAR ONLY A YEAR AGO AND THE KBB VALUE HAS ALREADY DROPPED TO LESS THAN WHAT I STILL OWE, PRESUMABLY IN PART DUE TO THE LAWSUIT. I AM AT A LOSS FOR WHAT TO DO NOW. NOT ONLY AM I FINANCIALLY HURTING BECAUSE OF THE CONSTANT TRIPS TO THE SHOP AND THE LOSS OF VALUE, MEANING I WILL NEVER GET OUT FROM UNDER THIS CAR, BUT I AM LEGITIMATELY CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND MY LIFE, AND FORD DOESN'T CARE. I DO NOT WANT TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS DEATH TRAP BUT AS IT'S WORTH FAR LESS THAN WHAT I OWE, I CAN'T GET ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE MY FUNDS ARE WRAPPED UP IN THIS ONE.
I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE PRE-OWNED, 55,000 MILES. THE CAR DROVE FINE FOR 3 WEEKS AND AFTER THAT WOULD SHUDDER WHEN SPEEDING UP. I TURN THE KEY AND IT MAKES A CLICKING NOISE IN MY INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE NEEDLES ON THE PANEL START FLICKERING. I WAS ABLE TO START IT ONCE BUT THE VEHICLE SHOWED THAT THERE WAS AN ENGINE MALFUNCTION TO SERVICE NOW.

I RECEIVED A FORD FOCUS/FIESTA TRANSMISSION SETTLEMENT CARD IN THE MAIL. FORD FIESTA 2011 - 2016 MODELS EQUIPPED WITH A POWER SHIFT DUAL-CLUTCH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I STILL OWE 8,000.00 OR MORE ON THIS CAR. I'M ON A FIXED INCOME WITH A FEW DISABILITIES. I SHOULDN'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FORD PROBLEMS. HELP! I'M AFRAID OF BEING KILLED IN A FORD PRODUCT. FORD FIESTA, 2012 ARE NOT WORTH ANYONE'S MONEY. IT IS JERKING AT ALMOST ALL TIMES AND SHUTS OFF A TON, I HAVE GOTTEN IT CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES AND SPENT MORE THAN I CAN AFFORD. THIS VEHICLE IS RIDICULOUS AND I INTEND TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW!!!
