TRANSMISSION ISSUE HESITATES APON EXCELLERATION.. CLOSE TO STALLIMG EXSTREMELY DANGEROUS WHEN PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC @ STOP SIGN EXCELLERATING SITUATION TO MERGE INTO MOVING TRAFFIC HASBEEN AN PRBLOM FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW HAS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP AT LEASR 3 TIMES FOR THIS COMPLAINT
THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN FOR SERVICE FOUR TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE. THE ISSUE IS THE THROTTLE PEDAL SENSOR. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER AND THE SERVICE LIGHTS ILLUMINATE. IF IN CRUISE CONTROL, THE CRUISE CONTROL SHUTS DOWN AND THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER WITHOUT WARNING. ON THE INTERSTATE, THIS REQUIRES AN IMMEDIATE ACTION TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. I WAS ABLE TO RESET THE CAR BY SHUTTING IT DOWN AND RESTARTING. THE REPAIRS ONLY STOPPED THE PROBLEM FOR 10-12K MILES.
TOO MANY RECALLS ON THIS CAR. ONLY HAVE HAD IT FOR 7 MONTHS. THEY HAVE SENT SEVERAL RECALL SLIPS SAYING THAT DIFFERENT PARTS NEED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT SOME THINGS ARE WRONG WITH THE ENGINE AND NOW I FOUND THAT THE CAR WILL NOT CUT OFF EVEN WHEN THE KEY IS OUT OF THE IGNITION. MY DAUGHTER IS 4 MONTHS PREGNANT AND SHE HAS A 7 MONTH OLD THAT RIDES IN THE CAR AS WELL AND I WOULD HATE FOR THIS TO TURN INTO A LAW SUIT FOR HONDA AND FORD. HONDA SOLD ME THE CAR AND FORD HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO PAY ATTENTION NO MATTER HOW BUSY THEY ARE. MY GRAND KIDS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AND SO ARE MY KIDS. ON FRIDAY MAY 22ND 2015 AT APPROX 4PM I TOOK MY FAMILY OUT FOR DINNER AND WHEN WE GOT TO THE RESTAURANT THE PASSANGER DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE, AND IT HASN'T SINCE THEN. I LEARNED BY RESEARCHING ON LINE THAT THIS IS AN EFFECTIVE RECALL. IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME PREVIOUSLY ON THE REAR PASSANGER DOOR AS WELL WHICH IS THE DOOR WHERE MY DAUGHTER CHILD SEAT IS, SAME STORY WE WENT OURTFOR DINNER, GOT TO THE PLACE AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT WORK. IT IS VERY FRUSTATING BECAUSE WHEN YOU BUY A NEW CAR YOU EXPECT NOT TO HAVE ANY ISSUES FOR A LONG TIME. I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH 700 MILES ON IT, AT 18K I HAD A BLOWN ENGINE THAT WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER (WHAT AN INCONVENIENCE), THEN I HAD THE REAR PASSANGER DOOR LATCH BROKEN, RIGHT AFTER MY WARRANTY MILES (DEALERSHIP WANTED ALMOST $500 FOR THE REPLACEMENT) SO I GOT THAT FIXED SOME WHERE ELSE. NOW AT 67K THE OTHER DOOR. BEING MY ONLY CAR I HAVE, IT MAKES THINGS VERY COMPLICATED, TO ARRANGE MOVING THE FAMILY EVERY TIME THIS CAR BREAKS DOWN ITS A MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. IF MR. HENRY FORD WAS ALIVE HIS WOULD BE ASHAMED OF WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE DOING WITH HIS BRAND. HOW IT IS POSSIBLE THAT A CAR MANUFACTURER THAT HAS EXISTED FOR OVER 100 YEARS CANNOT MAKE THINGS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND WE AS CONSUMERS HAVE TO PAY THE CONSEQUENCES. THEY SHOULD BE MANDATED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE CAR BY NOW, NOT ONLY REPAIR THE FAULTY EQUIPMENT BESIDES THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. I WISHED I WOULD'VE STAY WITH MY VW JETTA WHICH I OWNED FOR ALMOST THREE YEARS AND NEVER HAD ISSUES, CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AMAZING, BUT I WANTED TO SUPPORT THE US INDUSTRY, I WAS WRONG, I HAD THE SAME ISSUES WITH CHEVROLET. FROM THIS POINT ON I WON'T BY AMERICAN CARS ANYMORE UNLESS YOU CAN BUY AND RETURN IT FOR THE FULL AMOUNT AND NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
INCIDENT OCCURRED 3 TIMES. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, THE ENGINE MALFUNCTION WARNING CAME ON. THE CRUISE CONTROL IMMEDIATELY DISENGAGES AND THE CAR SLOWS DOWN. THIS IS DANGEROUS WHEN GOING UP HILL AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THERE ARE NO CODES STORED IN THE COMPUTER. THE ALARM SHOULD NOT FLAG WITHOUT STORING A CODE. SEARCHING THE INTERNET SHOWS THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE FIESTA FOR MANY YEARS. DEALERS HAVE MADE THE SAME REPAIRS SEVERAL TIMES ON THE SAME VEHICLE WITH THE ERRORS REOCCURRING. THE PRIMARY CONCERN IS THE ERROR FLAGGING WITHOUT A CODE PRESENT. FORD NEEDS TO FIX THIS POOR DESIGN. IN MY CASE THE CAUSE OF THE ERROR IS LIKELY A POOR CONNECTION UNDER THE HOOD. THAT ALONE IS A PROBLEM BUT IF THE SYSTEM LOGGED THE ERROR AT LEAST IT WOULD BE EASY TO FIND. MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THEIR CARS REPAIRED THINKING THEY WERE OK ONLY TO HAVE IT HAPPEN AGAIN. ITS SCARY DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE CAR SUDDENLY LOSES POWER.
VEHICLE HAS TRANSMISSION CONDITION ACCORDING TO ALL COMPLAINTS REGARDING SHIFTING, VEHICLE IS AT FORD DEALERSHIP AS OF NOW FOR 7TH TIME FOR SAME CONDITION...CLUTCH PACK HAS BEEN REPLACED AND CONDITION STILL PRESENT, VEHICLE HAS STALLED LAST TIME WE PICKED UP WEEK AGO TO POINT WAS ALMOST T-BONED FROM CITY BUS AS VEHICLE STALLED IN INTERSECTION, LAST TIME THEY TOLD ME WAS IGNITION CONCERN AND REPLACED PLUG WIRES...BACK INTO SHOP AFTER WEEKEND. SAME PROBLEM NO POWER NO SHIFT FEELS LIKE TAKING OFF IN 4TH GEAR OR HIGHER, AS I SAID IN DEALERSHIP NOW FOR WEEK AND UNABLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE...DUE TO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOR 7TH TIME AND THEY SAY NO TRANSMISSION CODES...I AM TIRED OF THIS CONDITION AND LOOKING FOR FINAL REPAIR,TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND/REPLACEMENT OF VEHICLE. I FEEL AFTER 7 TIMES TO DEALERSHIP IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR SAME CONDITION....BELIEVE THIS FALLS INTO LEMONLAW ABOUT NOW!
THE CAR STOTTERS AND I GET A SHUTTER NOISE BETWEEN 10AND30MPH. IT SCARES ME TO DEATH THAT IT IS GOING TO STOP. I HAVE HAD 4FORDS BEFORE, NEVER NEW AND VERY HIGH MILEAGE AND NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. FOR A NEW CAR IT ABSOLUTELY CAUSES ME MUCH ANQUISH. I HAVE HAD IT CHECKED TWICE. I ONLY HAVE 8,280 MILES ON IT AND BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW MAY, 2013. I AM 75 AND EXPECTED THIS CAR TO LAST AT LEAST 10 YEARS. WHAT CAN YOU DO?
THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, WHERE MY SON SITS IN HIS BOOSTER, STOPPED CLOSING ONE AFTERNOON ON OUR WAY TO HIS SOCCER GAME. I USED A PIECE OF ROPE TO TIE THE DOOR ACROSS THE CAR TO THE DOOR OPPOSITE UNTIL I COULD GET MY CAR INTO THE FORD DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND SAW AN ARTICLE REGARDING OTHER 2013 FORD FIESTA'S HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I TOOK MY VEHICLE THE NEXT DAY TO THE DEALERSHIP AND SINCE I WAS THERE I LET THEM KNOW THAT MY CAR, WHICH ONLY HAD 15K MILES ON IT, HAS A PROBLEM WITH ACCELERATION. WHEN I ACCELERATE I HEAR AN AIRY SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE AND I LOSE POWER SO THAT I ACCELERATE VERY SLOWLY. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE WHEN GETTING ONTO THE HIGHWAY. I WAS ADVISED WHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR THAT THE LOCK WAS A RECALL ITEM AS WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE COOLING SYSTEM THAT THEY FIXED. IN ADDITION, WHEN THEY CHECKED FOR THE AIRY SOUND THEY FOUND I HAVE A BAD TRANSMISSION. MY SERVICE REP SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS ON BACK ORDER FOR 30 DAYS. THAT WAS MAY 2015. TODAY IS 11/2/2015 AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION. I HAVE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES IF I COULD HAVE A RENTAL CAR OR BORROW A CAR FROM FORD UNTIL MY TRANSMISSION IS FIXED DUE TO THE LOW ACCELERATION AND HAVE BEEN TOLD TIME AND AGAIN THAT THEY CAN NOT "AUTHORIZE" IT.
A MONTH AFTER PURCHASE WHEN PUSHING ON THE GAS THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE SOMETIMES WHILE OTHER TIMES IT WOULD ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. WAS TAKEN BACK TO WAYNE AKERS FORD WHERE WE PURCHASED AND TOLD THAT IT WAS A TRANSMISSION ISSUE THAT COULD NOT BE FIXED UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION WAS COMPLETELY NON FUNCTIONING. HAVE CONTINUED TO HAVE ISSUES SINCE. THEN I BROUGHT IT TO AL PACKER FORD WEST AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AS THE SUDDEN ACCELERATION OR NO ACCELERATION WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION THAT THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED FOR THE ISSUES BUT I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION MET FORD'S DEFINITION OF DEFECT OR DEFUNCT. MY 17YR OLD SON DRIVES THIS CAR AND IT IS NOT SAFE.
THE TRANSMISSION HAS A RECALL ON IT. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP AND REPLACED 3X. IT STILL IS NOT FIXED. IT PASSES THE TEST WHEN ITS HOOKED UP TO THE MACHINE BUT WHEN DRIVEN IT FAILS AND GOES BACK TO THE SHOP. THE PROBLEM APPARENTLY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH FORD AND HOW IT IS MADE. NOW A ENGINE MALFUNCTION LIGHT ALWAYS COMES ON. THE MANUAL SAYS THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN BECAUSE IT MAY NOT SHIFT. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN COUNTLESS ACCIDENTS BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT. IT DOES NOT ACCELERATE. IT JERKS, SHAKES, AND GRINDS. I WROTE TO FORD AND THEY DIDN'T CARE. TOLD ME TO TAKE IT UP WITH THE DEALERSHIP. THIS HAS BEEN NONSTOP SINCE I BOUGHT IT LAST YEAR TILL NOW AND ITS ONGOING. I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING MY CHILD IN THIS CAR. SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.
THIS PAST SATURDAY, I OPENED MY REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, AND IT TOOK A FEW ATTEMPTS TO CLOSE IT AGAIN. IT DID NOT WANT TO LATCH. I WASN'T SURE WHY IT HAPPENED, AND ALL BUT FORGOT ABOUT IT. LATER IN THE DAY, I PICKED UP SOME FRIENDS FROM THE AIRPORT, AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I OPENED THE DOOR TO LOAD IN A SUITCASE AND IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET IT TO LATCH CLOSED AGAIN. THEN, ON SUNDAY, I LENT MY CAR TO MY VISITING FRIENDS, AND WHILE THEY WERE DRIVING THE DOOR POPPED OPEN. IT DID NOT FLY OPEN OR CAUSE ALARM, IT JUST CAME UNLATCHED. WHEN THEY STOPPED THE CAR THEY USED THE SEAT BELT TO HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED. THEY TEXTED ME TO LET ME KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING. WE DISCOVERED THAT JUST ONLY TWO DAYS EARLIER A RECALL HAD BEEN ISSUED ON THE DOOR LATCHES ON MY MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR. THE MOST FRUSTRATING PART IS THAT THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY ARE NOT READY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. SO FAR THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS OR PARTS YET. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED ON JUNE 9TH TO ADDRESS ANOTHER RECALL ISSUE CONCERNING AN EMISSIONS PART, BUT I WAS INFORMED THAT ONLY IF THE DEALERSHIP HAD THE PARTS AND INSTRUCTIONS WOULD THEY ADDRESS MY OPEN DOOR PROBLEM. SO I WILL BE DRIVING AROUND FOR AT LEAST 5 WEEKS WITH A DOOR THAT WON'T CLOSE. THAT CAN'T BE SAFE. MEANWHILE IF THE DOOR IS NOT TIED TIGHTLY THE INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON. FORTUNATELY THERE WASN'T ANYONE IN THE BACK SEAT WHEN THE DOOR POPPED OPEN. *TR
I HAD ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PERFORMED AT THE DEALERSHIP ON MY 2013 FORD FIESTA ON APRIL 10, 2015. EVERYTHING PASSED INSPECTION. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, I BEGAN TO NOTICE THE VEHICLE WAS SOUNDING LOUDER. AS THE WEEKS WENT ON, IT GOT PROGRESSIVELY LOUDER, I LIKEN IT TO THE SOUND OF AN AIRPLANE ENGINE, AND IT WOULD SOMETIMES HESITATE. ON APRIL 24, 2015, WHILE RUNNING ERRANDS WITH MY WIFE AND 2 YOUNG CHILDREN, THE CAR STALLED AS WE ATTEMPTED TO PULL OUT OF A STORE PARKING LOT ONTO AN EXTREMELY BUSY ROUTE. AN SUV NARROWLY MISSED HITTING US. THE CAR FINALLY WENT INTO GEAR AND WE WERE ABLE TO PROCEED WITH CAUTION. FROM THAT POINT ON, IT HAS BEEN SHUDDERING AND THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE THAT CAN BE HEARD. I BROUGHT IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY. THEY SAY THEY ARE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM OCCURRING WITH NUMEROUS FIESTA'S AND FOCUS'S, BUT CANNOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE PARTS ARE UNAVAILABLE. I FEEL UNSAFE BEHIND THE WHEEL AND I FEAR MY CAR MAY BE IRREVERSIBLY DAMAGED, OR WORSE, SOMEONE MAY LOSE THEIR LIFE. *TR
CAR SHAKES AND SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATES. AT TIMES IT JERKS AND HESITATES WHEN STOPPED. WHEN MOVING FORWARD SOUNDS LIKE GEARS GRINDING , IT IS AUTOMATIC. I HAVE TAKEN IT 4 TIMES TO FORD IN COCOA FLORIDA WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND TO BE REPAIRED AND IT STILL MAKING GRINDING SOUNDS AND JERKING! I AM VERY CAUTIOUS TO PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC, AFRAID FOR ME AND MY FAMILY TO BE RIDING IN IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE FRONTAL AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY WHEN THE DRIVER CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
I SLOWED DOWN FOR A TRUCK TURNING INTO A DRIVEWAY, WHEN PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED, AND I HAD TO PULL OVER INTO THE TURN LANE, AND PUT MY CAR INTO LOW TO RE-ENGAGE THE TRANSMISSION. I CANNOT HELP BUT TO THINK THAT THIS SAME SCENARIO WITH ME SLOWING DOWN IN THE SAME MANNER COULD HAVE HAPPENED AT A STOPLIGHT WHEN TRYING TO TURN LEFT BEFORE AN ONCOMING CAR. I HAVE HAD IT BOG DOWN AND HESITATE QUITE A FEW TIMES AT LIGHTS, BUT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THE TRANSMISSION ACTUALLY SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR. I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN TWICE TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THE SECOND TIME THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO FIX IT BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS NORMAL. I BOUGHT A NEW CAR SO I DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY FAMILY'S OR MY SAFETY. COULD YOU PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE. THANKS *TR

DOOR LATCH ON REAR PASSENGER FAILED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. *TR
I INITALLY LEASED, AND THEN PURCHASED, A 2013 FORD FIESTA. I HAVE BEEN THE ONLY DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD A THE TRANSMISSION PIECES REPLACED ONCE AND THE VEHICLE IS BACK IN THE SHOP FOR THE SECOND TIME. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THERE CAN BE SO MANY RECALLS RELATED TO THE TRANSMISSION BUT NO RECALL OF THE CAR ITSELF. IT LURCHES FORWARD, WILL NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR FROM A COMPLETE STOP OR ALMOST STOPPED CAR. I'VE HAD MANY NEAR MISSES AND FEEL INCREDIBLY UNSAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE CAR ONLY DROVE FOR A FEW THOUSAND MILES BEFORE THE PROBLEMS CREPT BACK UP, POSSIBLY EVEN WORSE THAN BEFORE.
MULTIPLE ISSUE'S WITH MY FORD FIESTA (2013) TRANSMISSION. HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE FORD DEALER TO GET THE TCM RE-PROGRAMMED ABOUT 3 TIMES AND HAD IT REPLACED TWICE. TAKEN IT BACK FOR THE SHUTTERING ISSUE.CAR WOULD STALL AFTER MOVING FORWARD FROM A COMPLETE STOP. HAVE HAD THE CLUTCHES REPLACED IN IT. TOOK IT BACK AGAIN ON JULY 5TH 2019 FOR AN ISSUE WITH IT SLAMMING INTO REVERSE. WAS TOLD IT WAS READY ABOUT A WEEK LATER ON JULY 11TH. AFTER PAYING $60, THE SERVICE GUY TELLS ME IT WILL NOT GO INTO DRIVE AFTER LOOKING INTO THE ISSUE. I KEEP CALLING AND KEEP GETTING TOLD THAT THEY ARE WAITING FOR A TOOL TO COME IN TO TRY AND GET INTO DRIVE. TODAY IS JULY 24TH 2019 AND STILL NO CAR.
UPON CLOSING REAR PASSENGER DOOR, THE DOOR LATCH BROKE AND WOULD NOT ALLOW THE DOOR TO SHUT OR THE VEHICLE TO BE SECURE. THIS OCCURRED AWAY FROM HOME AND WAS PROBLEMATIC IN THAT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE SECURED, LOCKED OR SHUT. WE HAD TO STRAP THE DOOR SHUT UNTIL WE COULD OBTAIN REPAIR, WHICH COST AROUND $500. *TR
TWICE AS I WAS ENTERING INTO AN INTERSECTION DURING A LEFT HAND TURN THE PASSENGER DOOR (FIRST TIME) FLUNG OPEN. I COULD NOT CLOSE IT SO I DROVE WITH THE SEAT BELT TIDE TO THE DOOR FOR 4 MILES TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALER FOR SERVICE. THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHER DRIVERS. THESE LATCHES ARE APPARENTLY DEFECTIVE. FORD ONLY REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE DOOR LATCH LETTING ME DRIVE OFF WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF OTHER LATCHES FAILING IN THE FUTURE. SATURDAY EVENING BEFORE EASTER THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR FLEW OPEN AS I WAS DRIVING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. SINCE THE DOOR DID NOT CLOSE THE CABIN LIGHT STAYED ON UNTIL THEY FINALLY GOT TO FIXING IT. AGAIN THEY CAN ONLY FIX THE BAD DOOR LATCH, AND WILL NOT REPLACE THE OTHER TWO. THIS IS A VERY VERY VERY HAZARDOUS ISSUE WHICH COULD BECOME DEADLY TO BICYCLISTS OR PEDESTRIANS. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE CAR WAS PARKED. I OPENED THE RIGHT REAR DOOR TO PULL SOMETHING OUT AND WHEN I CLOSED THE DOOR IT BOUNCED BACK. THE DOOR DOES NOT LATCH AND IS STUCK OPEN. I MADE SURE THERE ARE NO OBSTRUCTIONS. I TRIED SLAMMING IT, CLOSING IT SLOWLY BUT FIRMLY, I FIDDLED WITH THE LATCH AND THE CHILD SAFETY LOCK BUT HAD NO LUCK. IT JUST WON'T STAY CLOSED. *TR

MY CHECK ENGINE CLUSTER CAME ON THE ONE WITH THE WRENCH, I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP THE AIRPORT MARINA. I GOT THERE AT 7:45 AM I WAS MET WITH AGITATION WHEN I TOLD HIM MY CHECK ENGINE WARNING CAME ON I NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT IT MEANT. I ALSO INCLUDED COULD HE FIX THE RECALL THAT CAME IN THE MAIL FOR THE 14E08 HE SAID THAT THEY WEREN'T DOING THE TRANSMISSION RECALL FOR ANOTHER 6 WEEKS. I TOLD HIM I WAS UNAWARE OF TRANSMISSION RECALL. BOTH OF OUR ATTITUDES CHANGED HIS OF QUIET MINE OF QUIET AND SHOCK. HE LET ME LEAVE WITHOUT FIXING ANY OF THE RECALLS GAVE ME AN OIL CHANGE, FAILED TO TELL ME OF WHY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND NEVER PUT IT IN MY INVOICE. I CALLED HIM BACK AND ASKED HIM WHY HE DIDN'T FIX, TELL ME OR SET ME UP WITH AND APPOINTMENT TO GET MY RECALLS REPAIRED? HE TRIED TO TELL ME OTHER THINGS I NEEDED INSTEAD AT A COST. I WAS UPSET BUT MADE A APPOINTMENT AND CALLED CUSTOMER RELATIONS. HOWEVER AFTER GOING ONLINE I GOT THE REAL PICTURE! WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR I RETURNED IT AFTER TWO WEEKS BECAUSE OF THE VERY THING ON THE INTERNET, THE SHUDDERING, HESITATION IN MOVING FORWARD AND IT DIDN'T SEEM LIKE THE GAS WAS GETTING TO WHERE IT NEEDED TO GO. SO THE CAR WOULD JERK AND POOT AND SHAKE ALONG WITH RATTLE NOISE. IT ALSO LEAKED IN MY DRIVE WAY. I THOUGHT MAYBE SOMEONE PARKED IN MY STALL AFTER I WENT FOR WORK. NOT THE CASE. I TOOK IT IN, THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL, EACH AND EVERY TIME. THEY EVEN SAID WE WILL LOOK AT IT AND SAID IT WAS A MINOR THING THAT THEY ADJUSTED. I NEVER SAW IT ON PAPER SO I THOUGHT THEY WERE TREATING ME WELL AND FIXING THINGS FOR FREE WITHOUT A PAPER TRIAL. AND THEY WERE!! IN MARCH OR APRIL 2015 CLUTCH IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED BECAUSE UPON ACCELERATION THE CAR HESITATED AND LURCHED FORWARD. IN MAY THE SAME ISSUE IS OCCURRING. HAD THE TIMING RESET AND THE CAR IS LURCHING AGAIN.

I UNLOCKED THE DOORS WITH THE AUTO LOCK ON THE KEY. THEN, I PUT SOMETHING IN THE BACK SEAT. WHEN I CLOSED THE DOOR, IT BOUNCED BACK OPEN. I TRIED SEVERAL THINGS TO GET IT TO RESET INCLUDING EVERYTHING MENTIONED IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL, BUT IT WOULD NOT LATCH. I LOOKED AT THE LATCH ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR TO SEE HOW THEY WERE DIFFERENT AND PUSHED THE MECHANISM BACK . THEN IT STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION AND THAT DOOR WOULDN'T SHUT. I AGAIN TRIED TURNING THE CAR AND THE AUTO-LOCK SYSTEM OFF AND ON, BUT NOTHING WOULD AFFECT THOSE TWO DOORS. I FINALLY HAD TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED BECAUSE I COULDN'T DRIVE IT HOME WITH TWO DOORS THAT WOULDN'T LATCH. *TR

THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND NOTICED THAT SOME OF THE LUG NUTS FRACTURED FROM THE TIRE. THE FACTORY TIRE JACK FROM THE DEALER DID NOT WORK TO REPLACE THE TIRE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM A TOW TRUCK DRIVER WHO SUPPLIED LUG NUTS AND ASSISTED WITH REPLACING THE TIRE. THE FAILURE WAS REPORTED TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.

DEALERSHIP AT THAT POINT REPLACED CLUTCH PACK BECAUSE THE SAY IT HAD FLUID IN IT, ALSO ANOTHER SERVICE BULLETIN. NOW ANOTHER 2K MILES AND THE CAR DID IT AGAIN DURING A SNOW STORM CAUSING US TO BE UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF A PLOW WHICH NARROWLY MISSED HITTING ARE CAR. FORD HAS NOW HAD THE CAR ANOTHER HALF WEEK AND SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN FIND WRONG SO THERE IS NOTHING TO DO.THIS IS VERY UNSAFE CAR AND MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS MAJOR HAZARD. I WAS INFORMED THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE CLUTCH AND THAT IT WOULD BE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. PRESTIGE FORD DID THE WORK ON MARCH 6, 2015 AND REPLACED THE CLUTCH. A WEEK LATER THE CAR WAS STILL MAKING THE GRINDING/SHUTTER/TUGGING FEELING . I RETURNED TO PRESTIGE FORD AND THE CLUTCH WAS ON BACK ORDER. PRESTIGE FORD REPLACED THE CLUTCH A SECOND TIME ON MAY 14, 2015. 5 STAR FORD HAS REPLACED THE CLUTCH A THIRD TIME ON DEC. 14, 2015 AND IT IS STILL MAKING THE GRINDING NOISE AND THEY FAILED TO PUT WATER IN THE COOLING RESERVOIR AND THE CHECK ENGINE COOLANT LIGHT IS ON.

THIS IS AT LEAST THE 12TH TIME WE HAVE TAKEN IN THE CAR OUT WHICH 2 TIMES (NOW A THIRD) THEY HAVE ADMITTED THERE IS A PROBLEM. FORD SENT ME A LETTER ADVISING THEY WERE AWARE OF "POSSIBLE" PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THEY SAY ITS AN AUTOMATIC/MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND IT CAN LEAK FROM ONE CHAMBER TO ANOTHER CAUSING GRINDING, LOSS OF MOTION ETC. THEY GAVE ALL OWNERS A 100,000 MILE WARRANTY FOR THE TRANSMISSION. PROBLEM IS I PAID FOR A 100,000 MILE WARRANTY ON THE CAR ALREADY. WE WERE TURNING A (WINDING ROAD) SLIGHT CURVE WHEN IT SOUNDED LIKE THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION WAS FALLING OUT OF THE CAR AND WE LOST MOTION.
