THE DOOR LATCH ON MY CAR BROKE AFTER PUTTING SOMETHING IN THE BACK SEAT. THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT STAY CLOSED THE DOOR IS VERY RARELY USED. DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL THAT OTHER FORD FIESTAS HAVE FOR THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM DUE TO DATE OFF BY ONLY 1-2 MONTHS OF CAR MANUFACTURED
DOOR/LATCHES: FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE/LATCH MAKING IT UNSAFE TO DRIVE. FORD HAD TWO RECALLS (2015 & 2017) ON THIS KNOWN PROBLEM (RECALL: 15S16), BUT THEY DID NOT INCLUDE MY VIN AS PART OF THE RECALL, EVEN THOUGH MY 2014 FORD FIESTA COULD STILL HAVE THE SAME TYPE OF LATCH. IF ALL 2014 FORD FIESTAS HAVE THIS DEFECTIVE PART, WHY WEREN'T ALL VEHICLES INCLUDED IN THE RECALL? I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR LESS THAN 6-MONTHS AGO AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS, BUT 2014 FORD FIESTAS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. IT DOESN'T APPEAR THAT FORD MADE THE LATCH RECALL PART-SPECIFIC, AND IF THEY DID, THE LATCH I HAVE IS JUST AS DEFECTIVE AS THE PREVIOUS ONES. THE FORD RECALL DEPARTMENT WAS UNABLE TO TELL ME IF MY CAR HAD THE DEFECTIVE PART, BUT THEY TOLD ME THAT NHTSA REVIEWS ALL THEIR RECALLS AND THEY APPROVED THAT MY CAR DIDN'T NEED A RECALL ON THE DOOR LATCHES.*DT

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JONES FORD BUCKEYE (24600 W YUMA RD, BUCKEYE, AZ 85326, (623) 386-4429) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V643000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES); HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN REPAIRED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LATCH AS A COURTESY. THE CONTACT REQUESTED THAT ALL THE DOOR LATCHES BE REPLACED, BUT THE TECHNICIAN DECLINED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LATCH DETACHED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: [XXX]. I GOT VEHICLE AT A WELL KNOWN CAR DEALERSHIP - USED. IT WAS GIVEN '120 POINT INSPECTION' SO THE CAR WAS IN 'GOOD TO GO' CONDITION. I WALKED OUT WITH LUCKILY SOME MAX PROTECTION INSURANCE FROM THEM, WHERE THEY WOULD COVER ANY NON- WARE & TEAR REPAIRS. GREAT DECISION AT FIRST, MAYBE NOT EVEN A YEAR IN AT ROUGHLY 80K MILES THE CAR AC DOES NOT GET COOL, WHEN AT A STOP OR SLOW SPEED THE CAR WOULD START TO OVERHEAT & IN STALL - THIS IS A MANUAL VEHICLE SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO DROP GEAR IN ORDER TO GAIN SPEED BACK AND COOL THE ENGINE. THE COOLING FAN WASN'T TURNING OVER ST ANY POINT, I REPLACED THE FUSE MAYBE 3-4 TIMES AND IT KEPT BLOWING OUT. FINALLY I TOOK IT IN TO GET CHECKED OUT, APPARENTLY THE FAN RELAY FUSE WAS BLOWN OUT CAUSING THE SMALLER FUSE TO BLOW, ALL THIS RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE AC COMPRESSOR HAVING TO BE REPLACED, 2,700 IN REPAIRS WITH A DEDUCTIBLE OF 200 BUCKS. CAN'T BEAT THAT RIGHT? WRONG, HERE I AM ROUGHLY 9-10 MONTHS LATER WITH THE SAME ISSUES HAPPENING AGAIN, CAR OVERHEATING WHEN THE AC IS ON, OR AT A HAULT WITH THE FAN NOT KICKING OVER. FORD: YOU ARE A MULTI BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY, YOU NEED TO MAKE A CAR / SYSTEM THAT CAN WITHTAND ARIZONA'S 110+ DEGREE WEATHER DURING THE SUMMER. THIS SEEMS TO CLEARLY BE A ELECTRICAL ISSUE, AS THIS ISN'T THE FIRST, SECOND OR EVEN THIRD ISSUE I'VE HAD WITH THE VEHICLE. INCLUDING MAKER RECALLS.
TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE NOT WORKING RIGHT, OUR VEHICLE WONT SHIFT RIGHT, TRYING TO MERGER WITH TRAFIC CREATES DANGEROUS SITUATIONS BECAUSE VEHICLE REFUSES TO SPEED UP. GETTING ON THE FREEWAY BUT UNABLE TO ACCELERATE CREATES HUGE TRAFFIC JAM, AND PEOPLE BEHIND YOU ARE GOING 60+ BUT YOUR CAR WONT GO PASS 30. PEOPLE WILL GET HURT IF FORD WONT FIX THIS ISSUE, NOW GOING TO DEALER THEY WANT $1800 TO TEMPORARY FIX THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE AFTER PART IS REPLACED IT LAST ABOUT A YEAR AND THEN GOES BACK AGAIN. DEALER ALSO REFUSES TO FIX VEHICLE IF IT HAS BRANDED TITLE, BUT HOW IN THE HELL BRANDED TITLE HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH FAULTY MODULE THAT WAS NOT DESIGNED PROPERLY. THE DESIGNER OF THE MODULE SHOULD GO TO JAIL FOR ENDANGERING OUR LIFE'S. MAIN PROBLEM IS, WHEN VEHICLE IS A THE STOP, WHEN TRYING TO GO IT WOULD SHAKE AND STUTTER, BEFORE GOING. OR WHEN ENTERING FREEWAY, IF ACCELERATING CAR WILL STUTTER AND WILL NOT TRY TO INCREASE SPEED BUT ITS RPM'S WILL SKY ROCKET.

THE CAR WOULD MAKE A CRACKALING SOUND THROUGH THE SPEAKERS FOR MONTHS STARTING IN MARCH OF 2018 AND ON JULY 5, 2018 THE RADIO , & BLUE TOOTH OPTIONS HAVE NOW CEASED TO WORK

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (COVERT FORD OF HUTTO, 1200 US-79, HUTTO, TX 78634), BUT NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO MONITOR THE COOLANT LEVEL. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE DISPLAYED "OVERHEATING". THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR WAS CRACKED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,500.
LOW COOLANT LEVEL CAME ON (WHERE DID IT GO?) FILLED UP COOLANT. STILL LOW. CAR WOULDN'T START. TOWED TO DEALER AND THEY SAID "FOUND #1 CYLINDER HAS NO COMPRESSION. REMOVED SPARK PLUGS, WET WITH COOLANT. BORE SCOPED CYLINDER, FOUND WET" THEY SAY I NEED NEW ENGINE (WITH A $4800 QUOTE). WHY DID COOLANT ALL OF THE SUDDEN LEAK INTO ENGINE WITHOUT WARNING? CAR WAS IN MOTION.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, SHE STRUCK A VEHICLE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT AND HER GRANDDAUGHTER SUSTAINED SEAT BELT CONTUSIONS AND MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE TOW YARD AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER DUE TO BEING A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR STALLED AND WOULD NOT START. AAA LOADED THE VEHICLE TO A GARAGE WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS NOT WORKING IT SHOWED A FAULT. NO FUEL WAS GETTING TO THE ENGINE, THE CAR WAS ON A HIGHWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I CALLED FORD AND THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED. I TOLD THEM THERE WAS A RECALL IN THE WORKS FOR THIS PROBLEM, STILL NO HELP. NO INJURIES INVOLVED.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the front passenger’s side axle exhibited a loud noise while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that the front passenger’s side axle was replaced three times however, the repair failed to fix the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the front axle was replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the aftermarket part on the vehicle was causing the passenger’s side front axle failure. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

LATCH ON REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT CATCH AND DOOR DOES NOT CLOSE AS A RESULT. NO DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE DOOR. A FRIEND GOT OUT OF THE BACK SEAT AND TRIED CLOSING THE DOOR. THE DOOR JUST SWUNG BACK OPEN.
TRANSMISSION HAD BEEN SLIPPING AND VIBRATING WHILE DRIVING WAS REPAIRED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY SINCE I WAS AT 36,000 MILES. A WEEK LATER THE FRONT AXLE FELL APART WHILE DRIVING IN MOTION DUE TO A FAULTY BOLT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
TRANSMISSION WENT OUT GOING DOWN HIGHWAY
RATTLE IN TRANSMISSION WHEN EXCELLERATING FROM 10-30 MILES AN HOUR. HAVE HAD IT IN SHOP AND THEY TELL ME ITS IN THE TRANSMISSION AND THAT THE CAR HAS A LOT OF PLASTIC PARTS THAT MAY CAUSE THE RATTLE, BUT NO FIX? THEY COULD NOT TELL ME IF THIS WAS DANGEROUS OR NOT?? SOMETIMES IT IS VERY LOUD. CITY STREET DRIVING, SOME FREEWAY, AND TURNING. CK'D FOR RECALLS, FOUND NONE. THIS IS ON GOING, EVERYDAY.
I PURCHASED A 2014 FORD FIESTA NEW IN JANUARY 2014. IT HAS THE INFAMOUS DPS6 TRANSMISSION. IT WAS EXPLAINED TO ME THAT IT IS A STANDARD TRANSMISSION IN AN AUTOMATIC BOX. IT DID THE SHUDDER FROM DAY ONE. I DIDN'T THINK THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG BECAUSE I HAD DRIVEN MANY STANDARD TRANSMISSION VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS AND FIGURED IT WAS SUPPOSED TO ACT THAT WAY. IN JANUARY OF 2018, I HAD STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT ON A BUSY STREET IN COLORADO SPRINGS, CO WHERE I LIVE. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND MY CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR OR GO FASTER THAN 5 MPH. I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND AFTER SITTING THERE FOR 20 MINUTES AND SHIFTED THE GEARS BOX FROM PARK TO NEUTRAL TO DRIVE, I FINALLY GOT BACK ON THE ROAD AND THE CAR SHIFTED BUT VERY SLOWLY. THIS WAS ON A SUNDAY. THE NEXT DAY I MADE AN SERVICE APPOINTMENT WITH PHIL LONG FORD WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THEY KNEW IMMEDIATELY WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND TOLD ME IT WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I TOOK THE CAR IN TO THEM THAT WEEK AND THEY RAN THE VIN AND IT WAS NOT IN THE WARRANTY BATCH TO REPLACE THE CLUTCHES. THEY CALLED FORD AND ASKED THEM TO COVER THE REPAIR. FORD DECLINED. THE SERVICE ADVISER GAVE ME FORD'S 800 CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE. THEY BUILT A CASE BASED ON MY INFORMATION. A DAY LATER I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL AND EMAIL TELLING ME THAT IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND FORD WOULD NOT GIVE ME ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. PHIL LONG FORD ESTIMATED THE REPAIR AT $2,200.00 BUT SINCE FORD WOULD NOT COVER THE COST AND I PURCHASED THE FIESTA FROM THEM, THEY DID THE REPAIR FOR $1,500.00 OUT OF POCKET COST. I'M JUST A SIMPLE WORKING MAN AND CAN'T AFFORD THOSE TYPES OF REPAIRS. I HAD TO PUT THE CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD. I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER FORD DUE TO THEIR TOTAL LACK OF CONCERN AND NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY. THE CAR STILL DOESN'T OPERATE PROPERLY.

THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO CLOSE THE DOOR, BUT IT WOULD NOT LATCH. THE CONTACT'S SON HAD TO HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED WHILE DRIVING TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT TIED THE REAR DRIVER'S DOOR WITH A PIECE OF ROPE AND DROVE TO THE DEALER (LEGACY FORD, 413 INDUSTRIAL BLVD, MCDONOUGH, GA 30253) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LATCH WAS FAULTY. THIS WAS THE SECOND DOOR LATCH FAILURE WITHIN A YEAR. DURING THE FIRST OCCURRENCE, THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR OPENED WHILE DRIVING. GREENE FORD (2365 BROWNS BRIDGE RD, GAINESVILLE, GA 30504) STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON ALL FOUR DOOR LATCHES AND, TO THE CONTACT'S UNDERSTANDING, THE RECALL REPAIR HAD BEEN PERFORMED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED AND FOUND THAT THE PAPERWORK SHOWED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR HAD BEEN PERFORMED, BUT THE SERIAL NUMBER WAS THE ORIGINAL DOOR LATCH THAT THE MANUFACTURER INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE DEALER. THE VIN SEARCH FOUND NO RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,422.
STARTED FINE, PUT INTO DRIVE AND STEERING FROZE.."STEERING ASSIST FAILURE" ON SCREEN. REPAIRED AT FORD DEALER. NEW STEERING BOX AND COLUMN. ONLY 28000 MILES ON VEHICLE AND 3 YEAR WARRANTY ENDED AUGUST 2016. HEARD THAT OTHER FORD MODELS LIKE FOCUS WERE COVERED BY FORD.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PARTS WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR THE REMEDY UNTIL JANUARY 20, 2018. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-392-3673 AND STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE ON BACKORDERED UNTIL JANUARY 20, 2018. CASE NUMBER: CAS-13704756 WAS PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.
PROBLEMS WITH CAR STUCK IN PARK AND NOT STARTING VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, HAVE BEEN STUCK TWICE FOR SAME THING
VEHICLE DISPLAYED INACCURATE FUEL INFO (MPG, MILES TIL EMPTY) AND WOULD STALL AFTER FUELING; DEALERSHIP NOTED THAT DEFECTIVE CANISTER PURGE VALVE WAS THE CAUSE
TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT AND MESSAGE PLUS SYNC NOTE ABOUT VAPOR LEAK. DEALER SAYS MAY BE OK TO DRIVE. OR MAY REFUSE TO START AT ANY MOMENT. ALREADY RAN 3 PREVIOUS RECALLS, ONE R TRANSMISSION.
A HEATER VENT IS STUCK AND THE TIMING BELT IS SLIPPING OVER IT AS THE CAR STARTS UP. SOUNDS LIKE AN AUTOMATIC GUN GOING OFF. HAPPENS EVERY TIME I START THE CAR. OCCASIONALLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING AND THE SUN COMES OUT. HAVE TRIED TURNING TO AC OFF AND THE FANS OFF NOTHING HELPS.
PURCHASED 2014 FORD FIESTA AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT NOISE AND HANDLING ISSUES WITH THE HANKOOK OPTIMO TIRES ON MY FIESTA - CAR HAS APPROX. 50,000 MILES ON THE CAR - AND DEFINITELY HAVING A DRIVE AND SAFETY ISSUE WITH THESE TIRES
THE RIGHT SIDE PASSENGER DOOR LATCH IS NOT WORKING.THE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE.. WE WERE IN A PARKING LOT. AND WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR.IT WASN'T CLOSING?? SO I HAD TO HOLD THE DOOR CLOSE.WHILE TRYING TO GET BACK HOME.
"TAKATA RECALL" I AM SUBMITTING A COMPLAINT REGARDING MY BRAKE SYSTEM. WHEN I APPLY MY FOOT ON BRAKES THERE IS NO PRESSURE, BRAKES GO ALL THE WAY TO THE GROUND; AS IF I AM NOT GOING TO STOP. I HAVE TO PUMP OR PRESS HARD ON BRAKES. MY BRAKE LIGHT ON DASHBOARD NEVER CAME ON, INDICATING A PROBLEM WITH BRAKES. THIS JUST SUDDENLY HAPPENED ON MY WAY TO WORK (10/26/2017). I HAD BRAKES CHANGE ON 10/31/2017 AND STILL CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I HAD TO BRAKE HARD, THIS HAPPENED AS I WAS LEAVING THE PARKING LOT, DRIVEWAY. EACH INCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND NEED TO SLOW DOWN TO BRAKE FOR A STOP SIGN OR LIGHT SIGNAL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR BECAME AJAR WITHOUT WARNING. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SECURELY LOCK THE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V246000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) OR 17V210000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
I BOUGHT THIS FORD FIESTA WITH THE 1.0L ECOBOOST NEW. ALL MAINTENANCE FOR THIS CAR IS UPTODATE NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE UNTIL OCT 10, 2017. I NOTICED THE COOLANT LEVEL WAS WELL BELOW THE MIN. LINE OF THE COOLANT RESERVOIR ALMOST BELOW THE TURBO COOLANT LINE IN THE TANK. I IMMEDIATELY FOUND SOME APPROVED COOLANT AND ADDED IT UNTIL THE MAX. LINE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS AND THE CAR DIDN'T OVERHEAT THE DAY BEFORE. I CHECKED THE COOLANT LEVEL 3 DAYS LATER AND FOUND THAT IT WAS HALFWAY BETWEEN THE TWO LINES ON THE TANK. I FILLED IT UP TO THE MAX. LINE. I CHECKED IT AGAIN ON SAT. MORNING OF OCT. 21ST. IT HAD DROPPED TO THE MIN. LINE. I THOUGHT THIS WAS A DEFINITE PROBLEM. I CHECKED OVER THE HOSES AND LOOKED OVER THE ENGINE BLOCK, THE INTERCOOLER, AND WHAT I COULD OF THE RADIATOR, BUT I DIDN'T SEE SIGNS OF COOLANT LEAKING. IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS I PUT 3/4 OF A JUG OF COOLANT INTO MY CAR AND IT ONLY HAD ABOUT 36000 MILES ON IT. I BROUGHT IT TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER ON SUN OCT. 22. AND THE TECHS DID A DIAGNOSTIC AND PRESSURE TEST ON MON. HE CALLED ME TO SAY THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I TOLD HIM OF THE AMOUNT OF COOLANT SO HE THOUGHT TO RECHECK. THE DEALER DID A TOTAL OF 3 PRESSURE CHECKS ON THE CAR WITH NO LEAKS. I ASKED IF HE COULD CHECK THE EXHAUST FOR COOLANT OUT THE TAIL PIPE. HE SAID THAT IF IT WAS DOING THAT THE CAR WOULD BE RUNNING ROUGH BUT IT RAN FINE. I'M PICKING THE CAR BACK UP SINCE HE SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING MORE. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, WHERE DID ALL THE COOLANT GO? IS MY CAR GOING TO OVERHEAT AND DO SOMETHING LIKE THE OTHER ECOBOOST ENGINE PROBLEMS, INCLUDING ENGINE FIRES?
WHEN DRIVING, OR SOMETIME UPON STARTING THE CAR, THE CAR WILL UNLOCK ALL THE DOORS, SHOW A FAULT WITH TPMS SYSTEM, WILL NOT SHOW THAT BLINKERS OR HAZARD LIGHTS ARE WORKING, INFORMATION SCREEN LOCATED ABOVE RADIO MAY OR MAY NOT GO BLANK, WILL NOT INDICATE WHETHER HIGH BEAMS ARE ON OR NOT, WILL NOT INDICATE WHETHER YOU HAVE A DOOR OPEN OR NOT. HITTING TOP OF DASH WILL MAKE EVERYTHING GO BACK TO NORMAL MOST TIMES. THEN THE PROCESS REPEATS AND KEEPS GOING. DOES NOT NECESSARILY HAVE TO BE IN MOTION FOR THIS TO OCCUR.
COOLING SYSTEM FAILS ON THE CAR WITHOUT WARNING. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE AND OVER TEMPERATURE WARNING LIGHT DO NOT INDICATE / COME ON UNTIL THE ENGINE FAILS AND THE VEHICLE LOOSES POWER. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE ENGINE TWO TIMES. EACH TIME THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF LOW COOLANT OR OVERHEATING CONDITION. MY CAR WAS AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND LOST POWER AND SHUT OFF WITHIN SECONDS LEAVING NO TIME TO SAFELY PULL OFF THE ROAD. BOTH TIMES I WAS ON A STATE HIGHWAY WITH LITTLE TO NO BERM.
AWHILE BACK MY CAR RAN HOT. I WENT TO THE STORE AND BOUGHT SOME COOLANT TO PUT IN IT AND IT WAS FINE. LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD MAYBE 3 MONTHS AGO I NOTICED THAT MY CAR RAN HOT AND I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS DUE TO THE A.C. RUNNING SO FROM THAT POINT ON I NEVER RAN THE AIR. SO APPROPRIATELY 3 WEEKS AGO MY HUSBAND WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND WHEN HE GOT THE CAR VALET HAD THE AIR RUNNING AND FROM THAT DAY IT CONTINUED TO RUN HOT. I ALLOWED IT TO COOL, ADDED COOLANT AND IT DIDN'T HELP. MY CAR PROCEEDED NOT TO CRANK. I GOT IT TOWED TO A MECHANIC AND HE SAID THAT I HAD BLOWN A HEAD GASKET. FROM THERE I TOWED IT TO A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY DID A FULL DIAGNOSTIC AND THEY PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT I'VE BLOWN AND HEAD GASKET AND THAT THE CYLINDER WALLS ARE DAMAGED AS WELL AND THEY RECOMMEND ME REPLACING THE ENGINE WHICH WOULD COST ROUGHLY $8000
THE PASSENGER DOOR LATCH IS BROKEN. A SMALL PLASTIC PART SNAPPED OFF AND NOW THE DOOR WON'T SHUT, OR IF IT DOES SHUT, POPS OPEN WHILE DRIVING. THIS PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN SOLVED WITH A RECALL, RECALL 15S16, COVERING CERTAIN 2014 FIESTAS. FORD SAYS MY CAR IS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL, BUT IT HAS THE SAME SAFETY ISSUE. ALL FOUR DOOR LATCHES WERE REPLACED ON RECALLED VEHICLES. MY DOOR IS NOW PERMANENTLY TIED SHUT AND THE DEALERSHIP WANTS $550 TO REPAIR. MY QUESTION IS WHETHER THE REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE STILL DEFECTIVE, AND WILL THE REST OF MY DOOR LATCHES ALSO BREAK NEEDING $550 EACH TO REPAIR?
FRONTAL ACCIDENT AND STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED WHILE THE LEG AIRBAG DID DEPLOY .DRIVING ON A MAIN STREET AND A WORKTRUCK ALL OF A SUDDEN STOPPED.CAR WAS TOTALED BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY
1.0 LITER ECOBOOST ENGINE WILL OVERHEAT WITHOUT WARNING AND CATOSTOPHIC ENGINE FAILURE WILL RESULT. THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE AND WARNING LIGHTS DO NOT PROVIDE ANY EARLY WARNING. THE ENGINE LOOSES POWER / FAILS AND ONLY THEN DO THE WARNING LIGHTS COME ON. I WAS DRIVING UP A HILL AND THE CAR LOST POWER. I DOWNSHIFTED AND NOTED NO WARNING LIGHTS OR OUT OF NORMAL RANGES. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND THE ENGINE LOST ALL POWER AND LEFT ME SIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. ONLY WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED DID THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE LIGHT COME ON. THE GAUGES PROVIDED NO EARLY WARNING OF A COOLING ISSUE. THIS IS THE SECOND NEW ENGINE I HAD TO HAVE FORD INSTALL IN THIS CAR AND BOTH TIMES THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED. COOLING ISSUE WITH NO WARNING PRIOR TO CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. BOTH INCIDENTS LEFT ME SIT IN THE ROAD WITH NO WAY TO PULL OVER. I HAD NO WARNING. THIS IS TO REPORT THE LATEST INCIDENT.
REAR DOOR FLEW OPEN WHILE DRIVING. FAULTY DOOR LATCH. MY VIN WAS NOT ONE OF THE 500,000 RECALLED BUT IT STILL FAILED. I HAD TO PAY DEALER OUT OF POCKET TO FIX. KNOWN SAFETY ISSUE. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING KNOWN TO FAIL IN A VEHICLE KNOWN TO HAVE THE ISSUE. COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUS IF PET OR CARGO WERE IN BACK.
TAKATA RECALL I HAD AN ISSUE WITH MY DOOR LATCHES. WHILE I HAD MY VEHICLE IN MOTION, A NOTIFICATION CAME UP THAT MY DOOR SUDDENLY OPEN. I WAS ABLE TO GET OUT AND ATTEMPT TO CLOSE MY REAR DOOR, UNFORTUNATELY, IT WOULD NOT STAY SHUT FORCING ME TO DRIVE WITH IT OPENED. I WAS WAS NOT INJURED BUT THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. I AM SINGLE AND DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN THEREFORE HARDLY ANYONE IS IN THE BACKSEAT OF MY VEHICLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.

I HAD BOTH RECALLS REGARDING THE COMPUTER MODULE REPROGRAMMING PERFORMED (#14M02 AND #15B22) BUT MY CAR STILL EXPERIENCES SPUTTERING BETWEEN GEARS. TOOK THE CAR IN FOR ANOTHER RECALL REGARDING THE DOOR LATCHES ON 7/10/17 AND DURING THE TRANSMISSION CHECK, MY FORD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT I HAD A FAULTY DUAL CLUTCH FAILED AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. COST OF REPLACEMENT IS OVER $2000 AT ALL AMERICAN FORD IN HACKENSACK SO DUE TO THE EXPENSIVE FINANCIAL BURDEN, I UNFORTUNATELY DECLINED TO HAVE THE SERVICE PERFORMED TO REPLACE THE DUAL CLUTCH SHUDDER. UNFORTUNATELY, MY CAR WAS ASSEMBLED AFTER THAT TIME. I MENTIONED THIS TO MY FORD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE UPON PICKUP OF MY VEHICLE AND HE ACKNOWLEDGED AND ADMITTED THAT THE TRANSMISSION IN FIESTAS IN 2014 ARE THE SAME AND THAT FORD PROBABLY SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL VEHICLES MADE AFTER JUNE OF 2013. FORD SHOULD DO THE RIGHT THING AND EXTEND THE WARRANTIES TO ALL 2014 FORD FIESTAS JUST AS THEY DID FOR FIESTAS AND FOCUSES MADE BEFORE JUNE 2013.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 57,747.
