GALVANIC CORROSION, WHERE HOOD LATCH BAR ATTACHES TO HOOD, IS EATING AWAY THE HOOD METAL. CONNECTION WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL ALLOWING HOOD TO BLOW OPEN WHILE DRIVING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HESITATED WHILE DRIVING UPHILL AT 40 MPH . THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION BUT A CLEAR DIAGNOSIS WAS NOT GIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
CAR DRIVES ON ITS OWN! IF I DO NOT HAVE FOOT ON GAS ON BREAK IT WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE. SAID FAILSAFE MODE THEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, DASH BOARD SAID CHECK ENGINE CHECK TRANSMISSION THEN THE LIGHT WENT OUT THE FOLLOWING DAY. NOW DRIVING BACK TO NORMAL. I TOOK TO AUTO ZONE THE DAY IT WENT HAYWIRE & THEY ADVISED ME ITS A POSSIBLE RECALL SEVERAL PPL SAID THE SAME ISSUE WITH THEIR FORD.
REPLACED LOW BEAM HEADLAMP ON DRIVER SIDE, NOTED ELECTRICAL BURN MARKS ON ONE TERMINAL. REPLACEMENT BULB DID NOT WORK, HAD TO WIGGLE TO GET IT TO WORK. QUIT WORKING DAILY WITHOUT WIGGLING WHOLE LIGHTING SOCKET , TOOK APART NOTICED THAT THE SOCKET HOUSING WAS BRITTLE AND CRACKED WITH BURN MARK ON METAL FEMALE LEAD. TWO TO THREE WEEKS LATER PASSENGER LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WOULD NOT WORK, WIGGLED PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT, CAME BACK ON. SOMETIMES BOTH LIGHT WOULD GO OUT AT SAME TIME. PROBLEM KEPT OCCURRING THROUGH AUGUST. FOUND THIS HAS OCCURRED ON OTHER FORD FIVE HUNDREDS DUE TO SOCKETS OVERHEATING. CHECKED PASSENGER SOCKET AND COMPARED TO DRIVER SIDE AND BOTH SOCKETS AND LIGHT BULBS LOOK IDENTICAL IN DAMAGE. BURNED/MELTED PLASTIC ON BULB BASE AND CRACKED BURNED SOCKETS. REPLACED BOTH SIDE BULBS AND SOCKETS LAST WEEKEND, BOTH LIGHTS WORKED FOR THREE DAYS BEFORE APPARENTLY FUSED THE SOCKET WITH THE BULB ON THE DRIVER SIDE. GUESSING THE PASSENGER SIDE WILL DO THE SAME WITHIN NEXT MONTH LIKE IT DID BEFORE.
A THROTTLE BODY WARRANTY REPAIR WAS DONE ON THIS PART ON 1-26-13. ON 6-6-13 VEHICLE LOST THE ABILITY TO GO FORWARD AS I DROVE TO WORK. PUT CAR IN REVERSE AND GOT IT OFF THE ROAD. WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON AND ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE AND CAR STILL DID NOT RESPOND. AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF STAYING IN PARK I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND IT DID MOVE WITHOUT A PROBLEM. GOT AN APPOINTMENT AT FORD DEALERSHIP TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED. WAS TOLD AFTER CAR WAS PUT ON DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS STICKING, AND NEEDED REPLACED.. SERVICE ADVISOR ATTEMPTED TO GET BODY REPAIRED UNDER LAST RECALL BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL . I THEN APPLIED FOR THE FORD SERVICE CREDIT CARD AND PUT THE REPAIR ON IT.. I THINK REPAIR OF PART SHOULD OF BEEN COVERED UNDER RECALL.. IF THIS ISN'T REGARDED AS A SAFETY ISSUE, PLEASE DIRECT ME TO THE THE CORRECT PLACE. *TR

THE AUTOMATIC GEAR SHIFTER HAS A RUBBER MAT UNDER THE METAL PLATE WITH THE PRNDL GEARS LISTED. IT IS DIFFICULT TO SHIFT OUT OF P AND THEN THEN YOU REACH R AND D THE MAT HAS BUNCHED UP SO MUCH THAT THE METAL PLATE TELLING YOU WHAT GEAR YOU'RE IN POPS OFF. THIS IS AN EXTREME HAZARD, AS I BACK INTO THE ROAD AND THEN TO PUT IT IN D, NOT KNOWING WHERE D IS BECAUSE THE PLATE POPS OFF, I COULD BE HIT. I ALSO HAVE A 2008 FORD TAURUS EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. I CALLED FORD AND THEY ACTED AS IF THERE WERE NO PREVIOUS ISSUES. THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT TRUE. THIS WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR FATALITY. *TR
DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER STOPPED WORKING. THE SPEEDOMETER, TACOMETER, FUEL GAUGE, TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR AS WELL AS THE REST OF THE DIGITAL INSTURMENTS QUITE WORKING. I PULLED OVER AND CHECKED AND MY OUTSIDE LIGHTS AND RADIO WORKED. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND BOTH THE FAIL SAFE ENGINE MODE AND THE WRENCH WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND RESTARTED, AS IT OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A SERVICE NOTICE FROM THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT A THROTTLE BODY REMEDY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND ROUTINE SERVICE. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS CLEANED BUT THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO IDLE AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE CHECK ENGINE LAMP ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000. UPDATED 01/07/2014*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE DURING THE TEST DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT WENT INTO FAIL SAFE MODE. THE TECH RESET THE LIGHT AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE. N THE WAY HOME THE VEHICLE WENT INTO FAIL SAFE MODE AGAIN ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. UPDATED 01/22/2014 *JS
APPROXIMATELY TWO MONTHS AFTER SERVICE PERFORMED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN PE11018 THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE IRREGULARLY AND THEN IT PLACED ITSELF INTO "FAIL SAFE" MODE AND ILLUMINATED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE FORD DEALER THAT PERFORMED THE SERVICE AND THEY DETERMINED THAT THE ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL WAS AT FAULT BUT WAS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE SERVICE THEY PERFORMED ON THE SAME COMPONENT JUST WEEKS EARLIER. DEALER CONTACTED FORD MOTOR CO AND THEY ALSO CLAIMED THE TWO WERE NOT RELATED REGARDLESS OF THE SIMILAR CLAIMS FOUND ONLINE. *TR
I BOUGHT THIS CAR A YEAR AGO THROUGH RONDUPRATT USED CARS IN JANUARY 2012 CAR SEEMED TO DRAG A LITTLE BUT DIDN'T PAY MUCH ATTENTION TO IS AS SUMMER CAME AROUND TRIED TO USE THE AC IT ONLY BLEW COLD ON THE FREEWAY I JUST THINKING IT NEEDED TO BE SERVICED BUY THE TIME I GOT THE AC CHARGED IT WAS WINTER AGAIN. BUY MARCH OF NEXT YEAR THE CAR STARTED DOING THIS WEIRD SHAKING AT EVERY STOP LIGHT AND EVERY STOP SIGN THE CAR WOULD START TO SHAKE IN APRIL A LETTER COMES IN THE MAIL EXPLAINING THE CAR WAS BEING RECALLED DUE TO THE CARS RPM IDLE SURGING TOOK THE CAR TO FAIRFIELD FORD AN WHEN I GOT THE CAR BACK IT WAS WORSE THEN IT. HAD EVER BEEN SO I DECIDED TO GO PAY RONDUPRATT TO DIAGNOSTIC THE CAR THE SAID WHERE I TOOK THE CAR TO DIDN'T PERFORM THE RECALL AND THE CAR NEEDED AN AC COMPRESSOR AND AN EGR VALVE I HAVE GOTTEN THE EGR VALVE REPLACED AN THE SAME DAY THE CAR WOULDN'T GO IN TO GEAR SO CONFUSED ON WHY THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SELL CARS THAT THEY KNOW ARE EXPERIENCING THESES PROBLEMS AND RANT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
CAR WAS BROUGHT IN FOR THROTTLE RECALL 3/28/13. UPON THE RETURN, THE CAR BEGAN EXPERIENCING ERRATIC SURGES OF RPM/SPEED. GEARS DID NOT SHIFT RIGHT WITH INTERMITTENT ACCELERATION UNTIL VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, BARELY ESCAPING ACCIDENT. VEHICLE WOULD NOT START & HAD TO BE BROUGHT BACK TO DEALER. DEALER STATED IT WAS A PRE-EXITING CONDITION DESPITE VEHICLE NOT HAVING ANY PRIOR ISSUES BEFORE RECALL SERVICE. DEALER DIAGNOSED & AGREED TO REPLACE FUEL FILTER. VEHICLE RESTARTED, BUT STILL WITH INTERMITTENT ACCELERATION AND IMPROPER GEAR SHIFT SURGES AT ANY SPEED. ON 4/6/13, WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL ENGINE FAILURES, NARROWLY ESCAPING ACCIDENT AGAIN. SHORTLY AFTER WHILE COMPLETELY STOPPED, VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM BEHIND, CAUSING SEVERE DAMAGE TO BOTH BUMPERS ALONG WITH ENGINE FAILURE. CAR WAS BROUGHT BACK TO DEALER ONCE AGAIN, AND DEALER REFUSED TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY AND RE-SERVICE, STATING IT WAS A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION. UNSERVICED VEHICLE REMAINS UNUSABLE AND CONSIDERED A HAZARD TO DRIVE. VEHICLE SITS IN STADIUM FORD QUALITY AUTO MALL, RUTHERFORD NJ WITH NO RESOLVE FROM FORD DESPITE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE VEHICLE ACCELERATE INSTEAD. THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER A MANUFACTURER RECALL FOR THE COMPUTER MODULE BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SLOW TO A STOP OR MAKE A TURN, AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTED HARD. IT DOES NOT DO THIS WHILE SPEEDING UP. I HAVE HAD TWO MECHANICS TELL ME THERE IS NO KNOWN FIX, SHORT OF REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION, AND THERE IS NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE, PARTS BRAKE DOWN, ETC, FOR THEM TO DIAGNOSIS THE PROBLEM. I HAD THE VEHICLE AT A FORD DEALER TO HAVE THE THROTTLE BODY ISSUE FIXED. AT THAT TIME, THE POWER CONTROL MODULE AND THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WERE BOTH RE-PROGRAMMED. NO LONG TERM FIX WAS ACHIEVED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE PAWL LATCH WOULD NOT RETURN TO THE LATCH POSITION WHEN CLOSED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE DOOR WOULD OPEN INDEPENDENTLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE DOOR LATCH MECHANISM NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V383000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MERGED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD, POWERED OFF, THEN RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE OXYGEN SENSOR AND DIM MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE THROTTLE BODY PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ON A COLD AND SNOWY DAY, SHE WAS SUDDENLY FACED WITH THE VEHICLE HAVING NO POWER. SHE WAS ABLE TOG ET OFF THE ROAD, SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND RE-STARTED IT. WHEN THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO THE HIGHWAY, SHE DROVE A SHORT DISTANCE, AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. SHE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO THE DEALER AND THEY PERFORMED THE NECESSARY SERVICES AND RECALL. HOWEVER, ONE WEEK LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. WITHOUT WARNING, THE VEHICLE HAD NO POWER. THE DEALER REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY.
REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM SHEARED OFF AT INSIDE BUSHINGS DURING NORMAL DRIVING. WHEEL ASSEMBLY FELL AGAINST FRAME AND SOME LOSS OF CONTROL WAS EXPERIENCED. BOTH SIDES OF CONTROL ARM (FORD PART# 5A804) BROKE OFF FROM FATIGUE. *TR
NOT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CAR UNTIL AFTER RECALL 12N03. RETURNED 3 DAYS LATER FOR REPAIR. STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. TOOK TO ANOTHER FORD DEALERSHIP. THEY WANT TO REPLACE THE PART THAT WAS RECALLED AND CHARGE ME APPROXIMATELY $800.00. MAIN FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN CONTACTED NUMEROUS TIMES AND HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM WITH ANY INFORMATION CONCERNING MY ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY AND THERE WAS A SUDDEN INCREASE OF ENGINE RPMS. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WOULD SUDDENLY STALL AND THE FAIL SAFE ENGINE SENSOR INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE DEALER CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY TO REMEDY THE FAILURE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR LATER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES, BUT NO SOLUTION WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE IGNITION WAS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION, THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED OUT OF PARK AND THE RPM GAUGE FLUCTUATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RPM SURGE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. MA 10/25/15 *CN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH INTO THE GARAGE, THERE WAS AN UNINTENDED INCREASE IN THE ACCELERATION WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE WALL. THERE WERE NO INJURIES; HOWEVER, THE FRONT BUMPER AND HOOD WERE DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE THROTTLE BODY WAS CLEANED AND REPROGRAMMED. THE EXTERIOR BODY DAMAGE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000. ..UPDATED 01/30/13 *BF UPDATED 2/1/2013 *JS
WAS DRIVING MY 2005 FIVE HUNDRED TODAY. I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I HAD HARDLY ANY POWER. NO POWER STEERING, ALL GAUGES AT HOME AND A MESSAGE SAY "ENGINE FAILSAFE MODE". I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED WITH NO PROBLEMS. I'VE READ ON DIFFERENT SITES WHERE PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME ISSUE OF THE THROTTLE STICKING OPEN AND THE CAR LUNGING FORWARD OR BACK NEARLY CAUSING A WRECK. *TR
IN AUGUST 2010, I HAD THE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION REPLACED AT ~98,000 MILES. LUCKILY, IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. NOW IN OCTOBER 2012, THE SECOND TRANSMISSION AS THE SERVICE MEMBER SAID AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP "THE TRANSMISSION EXPLODED, WE'RE NOT EVEN SURE HOW YOU WERE ABLE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. THIS WAS AT ~146,000 MILES, BUT THERE IS ONLY ~48,000 MILES ON THE TRANSMISSION ITSELF. TWO TRANSMISSIONS HAVE FAILED IN THIS VEHICLE. SEARCHING THE INTERNET I HAVE COME ACROSS SEVERAL INSTANCES OF THE FORD FIVE HUNDREDS CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION FAILING. I CALLED THE FORD CARE LINE TO REPORT IT, BUT THEY CLAIM THEY ARE UNAWARE OF ANY ISSUES. MY CONCERN IS THIS THIRD TRANSMISSION WILL ALSO FAIL AT SOME POINT. *TR
MY CAR SURGES. IT IS MOSTLY AT IDLE SPEED. IT'S DANGEROUS. I WAS AT A DRIVE THROUGH AND A JANITOR WAS SWEEPING. MY CAR SURGED AND I LITERALLY STOOD ON THE BREAKS TO PREVENT RUNNING OVER HIM. AT THE DRIVE THROUGH IT SURGED FORWARD AND I HAD TO STAND ON THE BREAKS TO PREVENT IT FROM RAMMING INTO THE CAR AHEAD. IT OCCURS MORE WHEN AIR CONDITIONING IS RUNNING BUT WILL OCCUR WITHOUT AC ON. I THE LOCAL DEALER REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY RECENTLY BUT IT STILL SURGES. IT OCCURS WHEN PULLING TO A STOP AT THE LIGHTS OR AT THE DRIVE THROUGH AS YOU SLOWLY MOVE FORWARD. IT HAPPENS WHEN PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT OR WHEN BACKING UP. I'VE SEEN NEWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM WITH THE FORD ESCAPE. MY FORD 500 IS ALSO AFFECTED AND WEIGHS A WHOLE LOT MORE. OUT SIDE AIR TEMP WAS APPROX 96 DEGREES SO AC WAS ON . WHILE SHIFTING INTO REVERSE THE VEHICLE LUNGED SO HARD IT WAS UNCONTROLLABLE,AND UNSTOPPABLE, IF SOME ONE HAD STEPPED OUT BEHIND ME THEY WOULD HAVE DIED AS I COULD ONLY STOP REWARD MOVEMENT BY SHIFTING INTO DRIVE. THIS OCCURRED THREE TIMES TRYING TO GET OUT OF A PARKING SPACE AT A CROWDED MALL.THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED. THE LUNGING WAS SO FAST THE BRAKES COULD HARDLY HOLD THE CAR FROM MOVING IN REVERSE. IN CHECKING THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN TSB-05-25-13 FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY ON THIS VERY ISSUE BUT NO RECALL, ALSO MANY INCIDENTS/ACCIDENTS RECORDED IN THIS REGARD. AFTER HAVING TURNED ONTO A 35 MPH STREET, HAVING ONLY REACHED 30MPH, THE RPM'S SHOT UP TO SIX AND THE CAR ACCELERATED TO ALMOST 40 WITHOUT THE GAS PEDDLE HAVING BEEN PRESSED. I HAD PREVIOUSLY HAD PROBLEMS WITH UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WHEN PARKED AND THEN PUTTING THE CAR INTO REVERSE (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). AFTER READING MANY COMPLAINTS ON YOUR SITE IN WHICH CONSUMERS SAID THE THROTTLE BODY HAD BEEN DIAGNOSED AS CAUSING THE PROBLEM, I HAD THE DEALERSHIP REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY. ( A FEW MONTHS LATER, FORD SENT A LETTER OFFERING TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY). DESPITE HAVING HAD THE DEALERSHIP REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY, THE CAR CONTINUES TO ACCELERATE FASTER THAN IT SHOULD SOMETIMES WHEN PUT IN REVERSE AND I MUST ALWAYS BE PREPARED TO BRAKE RAPIDLY.
