THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING, WHICH FORCED THE CONSUMER TO PULL OVER. *TT *SCC *JB
ON 5/27/03 DURING REG OIL/FILTER/TIRE ROTATION AT FIRESTONE,5417 MCCARDLE,CORPUS CHRISTI,TX I WAS TOLD ONE TIRE HAD A COMPRESSION BUBBLE"IMPACT BREAK ON SIDEWALL".I REPLACED IT.ON 5/29/03 ANOTHER TIRE SELF DESTRUCTED WITH NO APPARENT REASON.I REPLACED IT (50% DISCOUNTTIRES WERE FIREHAWK GTA-02(I DO NOT HAVE TIRES AND DO NOT SEE A DOT# ON THE REMAINING TWO.I CALLED FIRESTONE WARRANTY,SPOKE TO CHUCK AND REQUESTED 2 NEW TIRES AT NO COST AS I DO NOT BELIEVE IN COINCEDENCES AND THE SAFETY ISSUE. I SAID I PAID FOR TWO AND FIRESTONE SHOULD PAY FOR TWO.HE SAID HE WOULD CALL FIRESTONE CC. I CALLED TODAY 6/6/03 .HE SAID HE NEVER CALLED AND HAD NO MEMORY OF PROMISING TO MAKE SUCH A CALL. HE ENDED BY SAYING THAT FIRESTONE WOULD NOT GIVE ME TWO TIRES HE APPARENTLY DOES NOT HAVE A SCREEN FOR INCOMING AS I HAD TO RETELL MY TALE.HIS INITIAL RESPONSE WAS WHEN FIRESTONE HAD COMPLAINTS ON THE 99-2000 HAWKEYE,THEY VOLUNTALILY RECALLED AND REPLACED- YEA SURE; VOLUNTARY VS. WE OWN A 2002 FOCUS AND HAVE FIRESTONE TIRES ON IT. 205/50/16 I DID A LITTLE RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT A VERY SIMILAR TIRE 205/55/16 HAS BEEN RECALLED.WE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE TIRE THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED. IT NEVER OCCURRED TO ME THAT THEY WHERE STILL SELLING FIRESTONE TIRES AFTER THEY QUIT DUEING BUSINESS WITH THEM. THE DEALERSHIP AND FORD ARE GIVING US THE SAME RUNAROUND AS THEY DID WITH THE OTHER TIRE PROBLEM. DOES ANY ONE KNOW OF ANY BODY THAT HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE TIRES ON THE FORD FOCUS. THESE TIRES WERE INSTALLED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2000 AND 2001 NISSAN ALTIMA SE PASSENGER CARS. THE RECALLED TIRES ARE IDENTIFIED BY DOT SERIAL #W2 T2 VF3 XXX OR W2 T2 VF3 XXXX; WHERE XXX MAY BE 289, 299, 309, 319, 329, 339, 349, 359, 369, 379, 389, 399, 409, 419, 429, 439, 449, 459, 469, 479, 489, 499, 509, 519, 529, 010, 020, 030, 040, 050, 060, 070, 080, 090, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 170, AND WHERE XXXX MAY BE 1800, 1900, 2000, 2100, 2200, 2300, 2400, 2500, 2600, 2700, 2800, 2900, 3000, 3100, 3200, 3300, 3400, 3500, 3600, 3700, 3800, 3900, 4000, 4100, 4200, 4300, 4400, AND 4500. WITH INCREASING MILEAGE, THE TIRES MAY DEVELOP SHOULDER AREA CRACKING. CONTINUED USE OF A TIRE WITH THIS CONDITION MAY LEAD TO EXPOSURE OF THE BELT EDGE. CONSEQUENCE: UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES, A BELT EDGE SEPARATION IS POSIBLE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF TIRE PRESSURE.
AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK MY CAR TAKES 2-5 TRIES TO START. AFTER IT STARTS, IT RUNS VERY ROUGH AND FEELS LIKE IT'S GOING TO STALL...SOMETIMES IT DOES IF I'M AT A LIGHT. I HAVE A STICK SHIFT AND THERE'S NO INDICATION ON THE IDLE THAT IT'S RUNNING LOW. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MORE THAN I'VE HAD IT FOR THE LAST SIX MONTHS. FORD TELLS ME THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY COMPLAINTS LIKE THIS AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD FORD THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE PROBLEM...EVEN THOUGH THEY'VE TOLD ME ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS THAT THEY HAVE. USUALLY THEY DON'T REPLACE ANYTHING BUT SO FAR THEY'VE REPLACED MY EGR VALVE, FUEL PUMP, AND GAS TANK. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN INCONSISTENT ON HOW THEY DOCUMENT THE TIME MY CAR'S BEEN IN THE SHOP AND WITH A ONE YEAR OLD AND A FOUR YEAR OLD...I CAN NO LONGER TAKE TIME TO GO TO THE SHOP...NOT TO MENTION LOSSED TIME AT WORK. I ACTUALLY LIKE MY CAR BUT I NEED IT TO START AND THEY OBVIOUSLY CAN'T FIX IT. THIS HAS BEEN A FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE AND WE WILL NO LONGER PURCHASE FORD VEHICLES BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF COOPERATION FROM BOTH THE DEALERSHIP AND FORD. WE'VE BOUGHT AN F-150, EXPLORER, AND THE FOCUS FROM THE SAME DEALERSHIP...I GUESS OUR MONEY WAS JUST A DROP IN THE BUCKET FOR THEM AND IN THE LONG RUN CUSTOMER DON'T REALLY MATTER. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE CAR EXCEPT TO TRY FOR THE LEMON LAW...BUT SINCE THE DEALERSHIP HAS CHOSEN TO LIE AND SAY THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE PROBLEM, WHO KNOWS HOW THAT WILL TURN OUT.

I HAVE A 2002 FOR FOCUS. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH A TOTAL OF 6 WINDOW REGULATORS. I KNOW THAT THIS IS PROBABLY NOT THE BIGGEST ITEM TO BE REPAIRED ON THE CAR I JUST WANT SOMETHING DONE ABOUT IT. THIS COULD REALLY BE A SAFETY HAZARD FOR SOME PEOPLE. SAY YOU WERE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND BECAUSE FORD MOTOR COMPANY USES PLASTIC REGULATORS YOU WINDOW FALLS.......AND SHATTERS!!!! THAT WOULD BE REALLY BAD YOU COULD GET GLASS IN YOUR EYES AND ALL OVER THE PLACE WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I WOULD JUST LIKE SOME WAY TO GET FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO PUT A RECALL ON ALL WINDOW REGULATORS ON MODELS OF THE FORD FOCUS. *TR
2002 FORD FOCUS DISPLAYING STEERING PROBLEMS. *MR APPROXIMATELY NINE MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE, THEY BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING SYSTEM. THE CAR HAS BEEN SERVICED 4 TIMES AND PROBLEM THE WAS STILL NOT FIXED . IF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT CORRECTED IN 30 DAYS THE CONSUMER WAS GOING TO REQUEST THAT THE VEHICLE BE REPURCHASED. *CB THE REAR GATE DID NOT OPEN PROPERLY. *JB
THE VEHICLES CLUTCH MADE LOUD NOISES WHEN THE GEARS WERE SHIFTED. *NLM
I HAVE HAD MY A/C WORKED ON AT LEAST 3 TIMES. ALSO HAVE HEAVY VIBRATIONS WHEN I JUST HAD IT ALIGNED 5/04/03. AND STILL HAVING HEAVY VIBRATIONS.AK
EXCESSIVE GEAR CHATTERING HAS NECESSITATED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE FINAL DRIVE GEAR. WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT FINAL DRIVE GEAR WAS DEFECTIVE AND A REDESIGN WAS PLACED IN VEHICLE. BECAUSE OF REDESIGN I NEEDED NEW DRIVE AXLES. TORQUE CONVERTER WAS ALSO SHOT AND A NEW DIFFERENTIAL WAS PUT INTO VEHICLE. NEW BEARINGS HAD TO BE ORDERED BUT WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THEY ARE ON NATIONAL BACKORDER UNTILL DECEMBER OF 2004. YES IF YOU CAN BELIEVE IT, 20 MONTHS FROM NOW. DEALERSHIP IS ORDERING BEARINGS THAT ARE CLOSE TO THE BACKORDERED PARTS, AND MEASURING FOR FIT. TOTAL TIME IN SHOP: 32 DAYS AND COUNTING. COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CAR BEING ON LIFT FOR 21 DAYS IS $13,860 EXCLUDING PARTS AND LABOR OF THE MASTER MECHANIC.
THE TREAD ON THE TIRES HAS ALREADY WORN DOWN AND THE METAL IS VISIABLE ON BOTH REAR TIRES. DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE CAR STARTED SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY AND RETURNED HOME TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALER SAYING THAT THE PROBLEM WAS JUST THE TIRES, THERE IS NO KNOWN CAUSE TO CAUSE WEAR.
2002 FORD FOCUS, ONLY 15000 MILES. $500 FOR BRAKE JOB BECAUSE ROTORS WERE SHOT. MECHANIC SAYS COMMON PROBLEM WITH FOCUS. *JB
BRAKES ARE COMPLETELY RUINED ALONG WITH ROTORS IN 11,000 MILES. COMPLETELY UNTHINKABLE. DEALER SAYS THEY HAVE NOTICED A PROBLEM BUT NO ONE IS WILLING TO DO ANYTHING. I AM VERY UNHAPPY.
I PURCHASED A 2002 FORD FOCUS SE. AT 10,956 MILES I HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT BRAKES. I WAS BILLED 256.06 FOR THIS REPAIR. I ALSO HAD A WATER LEAK THAT OCCURRED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. THE LEAK WAS FIXED. THE PROBLEM WAS SAID TO BE THE POLLEN FILTER. THE CENTER CONSOLE WAS LOOSE, THAT WAS ALSO FIXED ASAP. AND LASTLY THE FUEL ECONOMY IS FAR FROM WHAT FORD CLAIMS IT TO BE. WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED HEAVILY. *NLM
I HAVE 2002 FORD FOCUS. PREMATURE WEAR OF FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS. BEGAN HEARING GRINDING NOISE FOUR DAYS AGO. 30,000 MILES. CHAFES, WEAR EXCESSIVE, UNEVEN, SCORED.
AT THIS EARLY MILEAGE THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS NEED TO BE REPLACED. WE WERE INFORMED BY THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALER THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THE SEE OFTEN BECAUSE OF THE TYPE OF BRAKE PADS AND TYPE OF ROTORS. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE THAT FORD IS HIDING THIS PROBLEM. WE BOUGHT A BRAND NEW CAR SO WE WOULDN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
POSSIBLE DEFECT IN CONTINENTAL'S CONTISPORT CONTACT OEM TIRES (SIZE 215/45ZR17) THAT CAME WITH MY NEW FORD FOCUS SVT. I RECENTLY HAD A SEVERE BLOW OUT ON A HIGHWAY I-90. LUCKILY FOR ME, IT DIDN'T RESULT IN ANY DEATH, INJURY OR DESTRUCTION OF THE PROPERTY BUT STILL THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THE ULTRA PERFORMANCE TIRE TO FAIL IN SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME (UNDER 6000 MILES.) AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION I ALSO DISCOVERED THAT ONE MORE TIRE DEVELOPED SIDEWALL CRACK AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. *JB

THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT,THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BUT DIDN'T INFLATE. *JB
THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SUDDEN ACCELERATION, WHEN A TURN WAS MADE. *JB
TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AFTER OWNING THE FORD FOCUS ZX3 FOR LESS THAN A YEAR, AND IS GOING BACK FOR REPAIR AGAIN 2 1/2 MONTHS LATER. *AK
DT: THE CONSUMER STATES THAT 2002 FORD FOCUS ZX5 WAS HAVING FUEL ECONOMY PROBLEMS. THE CONSUMER INDICATED THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM WAS OPERATING POORLY AND FUEL WAS SURGING AND HESITATING. WHEN GOING DOWN HILL THE CAR ROCKETED AND HAD TO HIT THE BRAKES. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED FORD ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND COMPLAINED THAT CAR WAS NOT GETTING GOOD FUEL MILEAGE AND WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. *AK

VEHICLE STALLED AND THE IGNITION TUMBLER WAS DEFECTIVE WHEREBY CONSUMER HAVE TO LEAVE THE KEY IN THE VEHICLE. THE IGNITION WAS REPLACED FOUR TIMES. ALSO, FRONT BRAKES SQUEALED, AND DID NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. PADS WERE REPLACED FOUR TIMES.*AK
TWO OF THE FOUR ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TIRES WERE REPLACED AT 25K MILES DUE TO SEPARATION IN THE TREAD. (AT THE SAME TIME, BOTH REAR TIRES) *JB *SCC *JB
WHILE DRIVING THROUGH A PUDDLE, STARTER SHORTED AND DESTROYED FLYWHEEL. LATER IT WAS FOUND THAT WATER HAD GOTTEN INTO TRANSMISSION. IN ADDITION, A LARGE AMOUNT OF WATER WAS TAKEN INTO THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE UNDER THE DOOR SEALS. I WAS NOT STOPPED IN THE PUDDLE, ONLY MOVED THROUGH IT. DUE TO THE WATER INCURSION INTO THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS BY MY INSURANCE. THEY FEAR ELECTRICAL DAMAGE COULD RESULT. I AM CONCERNED THAT ANYONE GOING THROUGH STANDING WATER (THIS WAS NOT A HUGE PUDDLE) WOULD FIND THEMSELVES WITH ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT COULD RESULT IN INJURY. *JB
BRAKE ROTORS ARE WEARING OUT. WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES VEHICLE WILL HAVE HEAVY VIBRATION AND EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER NOTIFIED.*AK
THE TIRES AND WHEELS ON MY 2002 FORD FOCUS ARE VERY POOR IN QUALITY. THE RIMS BEND AND TIRES DEFLATE UPON HITING A CHUG HOLE IN THE ROAD WAY CAUSING LOSS OF CAR CONTROL. WHILE ALWAYS AVOIDING HOLES WHEN POSSIBLE, THIS IS A FACT ON MAY ROADS AND HIWAYS. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN ON ANY OTHER CAR. THE CAR IS EQUIPED WITH 205-50-16 FIRESTONE TIRES AND ALUM. WHEELS. THE CAR HANDLES POORLY AND HAS BEEN ALIGNED TWO TIMES IN PAST YEAR. I FEEL CARS EQUIPED LIKE THIS FROM THE FACTORY ARE AN ACIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.
THE VEHICLE SWAYED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT AND THERE WAS A POPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR ALSO. *JB
WENT TO START CAR AND IT WOULD NOT START. WHEN I TURNED THE RADIO ON THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD COME ON, WHEN I TURNED THE WIPERS ON THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD GO OFF. FORD DEALER TRIED TO SAY THAT THE CAUSE WAS RELATED TO A REMOTE STARTER THAT HAD BEEN INSTALLED. TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER AND IT WAS FOUND TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE WIRING. ALSO HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND PROBLEMS WITH THE LOCK ON THE TRUNK. *JB
I'VE HAD 2 SIDEWALL BLOW OUTS ON MY CONTINENTAL-SPORT CONTACT. THEY ARE OEM ON MY SVT FOCUS. I OWN TWO OF THEM, AND BASICALLY THEY ROUGHLY HAVE BLOWN OUT THE SAME TIME AROUND 6,000 AND 7, 000 (APPROXIMATELY). I'VE BEEN DRIVING 18 YEARS WITH OUT A FLAT OR A BLOW OUT AND HAVE 2 ALONE WITH THIS CAR. THEY ARE EXPENSIVE TIRES AS WELL AS HARD TIRE TO FIND.*JB
WHILE HAVING VEHICLE SERVICED FOR ANOTHER PROBLEM DEALERSHIP NOTICED THAT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WORE OUT PREMATURELY AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. *AK
THE RIM WAS DEFECTIVE, WHICH CAUSED THE TIRE TO LOSE AIR.*JB
FORD FOCUS ZX5 2002 - DRAMATICALLY POOR HANDLING ON SLIPPERY ROAD SURFACE. ? FAULTY BRAKING SENSOR / ? POOR SUSPENSION / ?? CAUSED LOSS OF CONTROL NUMEROUS TIMES ON FLAT EVEN HIGHWAY SURFACE. ON PATCHES OF ICE - BACK END OF CAR VEERS BADLY TO LEFT (SIDEWAYS NOT FRONT END). IN SNOW COVERED SECTIONS BACK END FISHTAILS EXCESSIVELY EVEN AT LOW SPEEDS (20 MPH). FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO CAUSE FOR THIS PROBLEM. THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THE BEHAVIOUR ON DRY CLEAR ROAD SURFACE.
WHILE AT A STOPLIGHT, MY 2002 FORD FOCUS ZTS SUDDENLY EXPERIENCED AN ENGINE STALL. THE CHECK ENGINE, CHECK BATTERY AND CHECK OIL LIGHTS CAME ON SIMULTANEOUSLY. THE FORD DEALERSHIP NOTED ON THE INVOICE THAT THEY HAD CHECKED THE BATTERY AND CHARGE, AND ALL WAS "OK." HOWEVER, WHEN I ASKED THEM WHY IT STALLED AS IT DID, I RECEIVED A SHORT ANSWER THAT THEY "COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING" THAT WOULD LEAD TO THAT. THE STALLING WAS NOT NOTED ON THE REPAIR INVOICE. I'M AFRAID OF THIS HAPPENING AGAIN, PARTICULARLY WHEN COMMUTING. THE FOCUS HAS 15,000 MILES ON IT.
AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY DURING COLLISION AT 35 MPH. COLLISION RESULTED IN SEVERE FRONT END DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND PASSENGER HEAD INJURY, NEITHER PASSENGER NOR DRIVER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. *JB
HEATING/VENT PRODUCES A DISGUSTING SMELL. REPAIRS INDICATED OIL LEAK NEAR HEATER - UNKNOWN ORIGIN. SMELL ABATED BUT STILL IT PRODUCES ANNOYING SMELLS THAT REQUIRES WINDOWS TO BE KEPT OPEN. WILL HAVE TO GO BACK TO SELLING DEALERSHIP 4TH TIME FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION. IS THERE A BETTER WAY AND ANOTHER SHOP IN CLEVELAND, OH THAT CAN MAKE AN INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT OF THE PROBLEM? THANKS.
2002 FORD FOCUS WILL NOT RUN IN SUB ZERO WEATHER DUE TO CONDENSATION IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. THE FIX IS TO DRILL HOLES IN THE EXHAUST AND LET OUT THE WATER. THIS CHANGE IN BACK PRESSURE, SALT IN THE SYSTEM, FUEL EFFICIENCY, AND LEAKAGE OF EXHAUST INTO PASSANGER COMPARTMENT HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED. THIS MODIFICATION SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED AFTER FACTORY CERTIFICATION.
I OWN A 2002 FORD FOCUS THAT I PURCHASED LAST JUNE. I HAD WENT INTO THE WALMART , AND WHEN I CAME OUT I SAW A CAR WHICH I THOUGHT WAS MINE BUT IT DIDN'T SEEM LIKE I HAD PARKED THAT CLOSE TO THE CAR-I PROCEEDED TO THE CAR UNLOCKED THE TRUNK WITH MY KEY-PUT MY GROCERIES IN THE TRUNK AND OPENED THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR-WHICH THEN I NOTICED SHOES IN THE FLOORBOARD ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE AND REALIZED MY KEYS HAD JUST OPENED THE DOOR AND THE TRUNK TO SOMEONE ELSE'S FORD FOCUS-SO I GRABBED A BUGGY REAL QUICK GOT MY STUFF OUT OF THE CAR-LOCKED THE DOORS AND WENT AND FOUND MY CAR. MY HUSBAND CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY JUST LAUGHED AND SAID THAT YOU HAVE A ONE IN A MILLION CHANCE SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD HAPPEN -THEY COULD CHANGE THE LOCKS BUT DIDIN'T THINK IT WAS NECESSARY-WOULD PROBABLY NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN-I EMAILED THE FORD COMPANY. THEY CALLED MY HUSBAND TALKED TO THEM-THEY SAID THEY WOULD MAKE A REPORT AND TO CALL THE DEALER BACK AND SEE WHAT THEY WANTED TO DO ABOUT IT. AFTER MY HUSBAND TALKED TO BOTH OF THESE PARTY'S IT WAS DECIDED THEY WEREN'T GOING TO DO ANYTHING. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO GET A BURGULAR ALARM-SO I WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SOMEONE GETTING IN MY CAR , STEALING ITEMS IF SHOPPING,ETC,ETC,ETC. MOSTLY WANTED TO MAKE YOU AWARE AND SEE IF YOU HAVE HAD ANY OTHER INSTANCES OF THIS HAPPENING. YOU PAY A LOT FOR A CAR-FOR EVERYONE WHO OWNS ONE LIKE IT TO BE ABLE TO GET IN YOUR CAR. I AM NOT SURE FORD HAS COMPLETLY FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH THE REAR WHEEL BEARINGS ON THE FORD FOCUS VEHICLES. I JUST HAD TO TAKE MY CAR IN TO THE DEALER, BECAUSE THE COMPLETE WHEEL AND HUB ASY JUST ABOUT CAME OFF THE VEHICLE (WHEEL BEARING FAILURE). COULD HAVE CAUSED A ACCIDENT IF THE WHEEL CAME OFF, AND POSSIBLE INJURY TO MY WIFE.

KEY DOES NOT WANT TO COME OUT OF THE STEERING COLUMN WHEN COLD. YOU HAVE TO WRIGGLE THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE KEY. IT HAS BEEN INTO THE DEALER AND THEY HAVE NOTED THE PROBLEM 4 TIMES BUT CAN NOT FIGURE IT OUT.

2002 FOCUS ZX3 - WITH 16" WHEELS - WHEEL CENTER CAPS ARE DEFECTIVE. ONE HAS FALLEN OFF, AND UPON INSPECTION, THE OTHER THREE HAVE TABS THAT ARE BREAKING OFF, THAT WILL LEAD TO THE CENTER CAPS FALLING OFF.
WHEN HIT AT 40MPH IN THE FRONT CENTER OF THE VEHICLE THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY CAUSING MINOR INJURIES TO THE CONSUMER. DEALER NOTIFIED. AIR BAG MONITOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. TS

I HAVE HAD THE CAR. FOR ONLY 4 MONTHS. I HAD PROBLEM WITH IT IN OCTOBER IT WAS THE CAR MOVING WHEN I AM DRIVING IT MOVES LIKE A SWERVING MOTION AND THEN IN DECEMBER 13, 2002. I TOOK IT BACK IN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM OF THE BACK SWAYS WHEN HITTING BUMPS AND THE TIRE ROD WAS LOOSE. THE REPAIR WAS 1,140 ON A NEW CAR. I HAD WATER COMING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THEY SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. ON DEC 31, 2002 IT RAINED AND MY WHOLE FLOOR IS WET. I AM VERY DISCUSSED WITH THIS CAR. BECAUSE IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR. AND I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM OUT OF IT GOING ON TWO TIMES WITH THE WATER, TWO TIMES WITH THE HITTING OF BUMPS AND THE CAR MOVING SIDE WAYS ALMOST INTO ANOTHER LANE ,AND ONE MORE THING I TOOK THE CAR IN TO FORD ON 12/26/02 TO TALK TO THE SALES PERSON ABOUT MY PROBLEMS I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH AND HOW VERY DISSATISFIED I AM THE CAR HAS BEEN STILL SWAYING WHEN I AM DRIVING AND COMING ACROSS BUMPS RAILROAD TRACKS AND ON THE EXPRESSWAY. THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PUT MONEY DOWN FOR ANOTHER CAR, WHICH IS SO UNFAIR BECAUSE IT IS A NEW CAR AND THEY SHOULD PUT ME IN ANOTHER CAR IF THEY SEE THE PROBLEMS. I WILL NEVER SEND ANY ONE TO BUT A CAR FROM THEM BECAUSE THEY SHOULD STAND BEHIND THERE PROMISE WHEN THEY EXPRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF CUSTOMER SATIATION WHEN THEY SEE THAT THE CAR IS A PROBLEM
