TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, A LOUD NOISE EMITTED FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED IN THE FIRST, SECOND OR THIRD GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THE FAILURE COULD POSSIBLY BE RELATED TO FRONT END BEARINGS OR AXLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, I WAS UNABLE TO STOP MY CAR FROM ACCELERATING AS THE GAS PEDAL STOP WORKING. TO KEEP FROM HITTING ANYONE, I HAD TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE MEDIAN, BRAKE AS HARD AS COULD, THROW MY CAR INTO PARK AND TURN IT OFF. IF I TRIED TO TURN IT BACK ON, YOU COULD STILL HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING FROM THE ACCELERATOR STILL BEING STUCK IN ACCELERATOR MODE. FORD IS NOT WILLING TO COVER COST OF REPAIR - ONLY OFFERING A 12,000 MILE OR 12-MOS SERVICE PARTS WARRANTY. *TT
THERE IS THIS PLASTIC SLEEVE ON THE BOTTOM OF MY SHIFTER THAT SLIPS DOWN. WHEN THAT PIECE IS DOWN I CANNOT RETRIEVE MY KEY FROM THE IGNITION AFTER I TURN THE CAR OFF. THE LOCK ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE STOPPED WORKING WITH THE KEYFOB. IT WORKED MANUALLY UNTIL TODAY, NOW I HAVE TO ENTER AND LEAVE MY CAR THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THE PANEL IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE OFF WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED. SO REPLACING THE PROBLEMATIC DEVICE IS IMPOSSIBLE. I CALLED FOR A LOCKSMITH. AFTER 2 HOURS OF TRYING TO OPEN THIS DOOR, HE GAVE UP. *TR
THE DIVER SIDE FRONT SEAT BELT GETS STUCK. WHEN I GO TO UNDO MY SEAT BELT. I HAVE TO PULL HARD TO GET IT TO COME LOOSE. THAT COULD BE A DANGER IF I AM EVER IN AN ACCIDENT AND CANT GET LOOSE OUT OF MY SEAT BELT. *KB
WAS DRIVING 45 ON A BUSY ROAD AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD FLICKERED AND THE CAR WENT DEAD AND HAD TO DRIFT OFF ONTO A MEDIAN. HAD 2 PEOPLE LOOK AT THE CAR AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS THE 20 AMP FUSE OUT. WENT TO GET ANOTHER ONE WE MADE SURE ALL THE WIRES WERE ATTACHED AND NOTHING WAS LOOSE, WE TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL A BIT AND WITH THE NEW FUSE IN THE CAR STARTED, AS WE TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL THE CAR STALLED AGAIN. WENT BACK TO THE STORE BOUGHT 2 MORE FUSES AND GOT THE CAR STARTED DROVE 1 MILE AND IT STALLED AGAIN. TRIED THE 3RD FUSE AND NOTHING. HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO LOCAL GARAGE 20 MILES AWAY FROM WHERE IT STALLED. THE GARAGE STATES THAT THE ISSUE IS IN THE DASHBOARD AND THEY HAVE TO TAKE IT TO FORD TO HAVE IT TESTED TO FIND THE ISSUE. COST WILL BE ANYWHERE BETWEEN $400 TO $1000 TO FIX DEPENDING ON WHAT THEY FIND WITH THE TEST. GOT THE CALL FROM THE GARAGE IT IS GOING TO BE FIXED FOR $500. MONEY WE DO NOT HAVE FOR BAD WIRING THAT IS NOT OUR FAULT! FORD NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE! *KB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS WOULD FLASH ON THE DASH BOARD AND THE VEHICLE STALLED, NEARLY CAUSING A CRASH. THE CONTACT DROVE ONTO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE WITHIN FOUR MINUTES. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE IDENTICAL FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WHICH DID NOT IDENTIFY OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOUR TIMES PRIOR TO TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LEVER TO ADJUST THE FRONT DRIVERS SEAT NO LONGER FUNCTIONED AND SHE COULD NO LONGER MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO THE WAY THE SEAT WAS POSITIONED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO HAVE THE FAILURE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 53,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATED CAUSING MULTIPLE FAILURES WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE WAS WITHIN THE ELECTRICAL PART OF THE VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SOLENOID, TRANSMISSION, VALVE BODY AND THE SAFETY SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST BUT DID NOT DIAGNOSE A DEFINITE SOLUTION FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THERE WERE NO RECALLS OR WARRANTIES ON THE VEHICLE AND OFFERED NO OTHER ASSISTANCE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. APPROXIMATELY 50,000 MILES LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SLIP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,000. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE FAILURE VIA NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V030000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH) BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT ASSIST THE CONTACT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,012 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 63,266.
I OWED A FORD FOCUS 2005. MY CAR WAS PARKED WHEN IT WAS HIT FROM BEHIND. I NOTICED WATER GOING IN MY TRUNK AFTER IT WAS WORKED ON. THE BODY SHOP THAT WORKED ON IT TOOK IT BACK IN TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THEY SAID THERE'S ALOT OF WATER COMING FROM AROUND THE RUBBER RING ON GAS TANK. THE AREA WHERE YOU OPEN THE GAS DOOR. I DIDN'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM UNTIL THE CAR WAS HIT. THE BODY SHOP TOLD ME IT WAS A WHOLE ANOTHER ISSUE IT WASN'T ON THEIR PART. WHEN IT RAINS THE TRUNK IS SOAKED ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE'S A HEAVY RAIN. ALSO MY CAR DOORS FREEZE AND I CAN'T GET IN THEM IN COLD WEATHER. THE DOOR LOCKS WERE REPLACED WHEN FORD HAD THE RECALLED. THE CAR WAS BOUGHT IN INDIANA. I LIVED IN WASHINGTON STATE AT THIS TIME. ALSO WATER WAS COMING IN AROUND THE LIGHT PANEL ON THE TRUNK. WHEN I OPEN IT WATER WOULD FALL INSIDE THE TRUNK.THAT WOULD THE PART THAT HAS A BLACK PANEL BELOW TRUNK KEY AREA. THE BODY SHOP WAS ABLE TO FIX IT WITH SILICON. AM WONDERING WHAT DAMAGE IS BEING DONE TO THE CAR. DAMAGES I CAN'T SEE. I CAN HEAR A POPPING SOUND FROM THE REAR END OF THE CAR. *TR
SO IDK EVERY [XXX] YEAR! FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS! IT GOES GOOD THEN SHE STARTS ACTING FUNNY BOOM BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON. I USE THE VOLTMETER AND EVERYTHING'S FINE FULL CHARGE SAME WITH THE ALTERNATOR. A WEEK OR SO PASSED THEN THE STARTER WENT OUT REPLACED 7/3/13!! WTF! FRIED PUT A NEW ONE IN. NOW MY[XXX] CLUTCH FEELS DIFFERENT DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S NOT SLIPPING BUT IT'S REALLY SMOOTH.2 DAYS GO BY AND BOOM ACTS LIKE THE BATTERY IS DEAD..NOPE TAKE KEY OUT GET VOLTMETER IT'S AT 12.5 SO I TRY AGAIN SEEMS OK DOESN'T TURN OVER. AGAIN TURN KEY ALL LIGHTS ON SEEMS OK NOTHING.... OK 1 MORE TURN KEY STRUGGLES LIKE STARTER THEN LIGHTS FLICKER DASH WACKS OUT BOOM DEAD NOTHING!!!!! GET OUT STILL 12.5VOLTS. I DON'T KNOW TRY 1 MORE TIME I PUMPED THE CLUTCH AD IT HESITATED TO TURN OVER AND BOOM IT WORKS!!!! GET HOME. TURN IT OFF ALL IS WELL ACTS LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG! 4 TO 6 DAYS AGAIN THIS TIME IT DID IT 2 HIM JUST DIFFERENT.HERE'S THE KICKER!!!!! SO I REMEMBER THIS FROM LIKE 5 YRS AGO IT WAS SOMETHING WITH THE MAF OR ECG I BELIEVE SO I LOOK FOR ANSWERS.... NOW HE GOES OUT 4 HRS LATER NOTHING DEAD WON'T TURN OVER WON'T DO NOTHING!!!!! I HATE THIS CAR!!!!! I SWEAR I WILL FIND THE [XXX] PROBLEM TO THIS [XXX]!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS [XXX] CAR! SHE WAS SO GOOD NOW SHE'S A LIL [XXX]! THE REAR PASSENGER EXTERIOR DOOR LATCH HAS FAILED. THERE IS AN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER : 05V030000 FOR 2005 FORD FOCUS DOOR LATCH PROBLEMS. I CALLED FORD AND GAVE THEM MY VIN NUMBER AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THAT VIN. IN MY OPINION THE NHTSA DESCRIPTION OF THE FAILURE IS THE SAME AS MY PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO REPLACED BOTH TIRES AGAIN AND REALIGNED THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.
RADIAN XTSL SUPER LATCH STRAP APPEARS TIGHT (ROCK SOLID INSTALL THAT CAN SHAKE THE CAR) UNTIL MY 34 LB SON SITS IN THE SEAT AND THE STRAP THEN BECOMES SO LOOSE YOU CAN RELEASE IT WITH YOUR PINKY! (RELATED VEHICLE INFORMATION: MODEL YEAR=2005, MAKE=FOCUS, MODEL=FORD). *TR

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD; HOWEVER, THE DOOR FAILED TO LATCH PROPERLY AND HAD TO BE SECURED WITH A BUNGEE CORD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THE DOOR LATCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITH THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LATCH. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED IN 2005 FOR A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 05V030000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES: DOORS: LATCH). THE REMEDY FAILED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE MOST RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. UPDATED 09/15/11 *BF UPDATED 09/26/11
2005 FORD FOCUS STATION WAGON REAR HATCH: THE WIRES THAT GO TO THE HATCH (NEAR THE TOP) ARE TOO SHORT AND SO WEAK THAT AFTER 26,000 MILES THE WIRES BROKE AND DUE TO THIS BREAK/SHORT THE CAR WOULD NOT GO OUT OF "PARK". THE BRAKE LIGHTS QUIT WORKING AND IT BLOWS ONE FUSE AFTER ANOTHER FUSE. DUE TO THE WIRES BEING SO SHORT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REPAIR THE BREAKS. THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FROM WHAT I SEE ON THE INTERNET. FORD SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR THESE REPAIRS. *TR
FOR TWO WEEKS I HEARD AND FELT A SLIGHT POP IN THE FRONT DRIVERSIDE WHEEL WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP AND THEN WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES AFTER GAINING SOME MOMENTUM. TOOK IT TO GET LOOKED AT BY MECHANIC AND ACTUALLY LOOKED AT THE AREA IN QUESTION MYSELF. (CONTROL ARM, BALL JOINT, CV, SWAY LINK, STEERING ASSEMBLY AND STRUTS) WE COULD NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM NOR COULD WE RECREATE THE 'POP' WITH THE CAR ON THE LIFT. WAS SUGGESTED THAT I HAVE MY ENGINE MOUNT BUSHINGS REPLACED WHICH IS FAIRLY CHEAP AND EASY. WHILE WAITING FOR THE BUSHINGS TO ARRIVE MY BALL JOINT 'FAILED'. IT DID NOT BREAK, IT JUST SLIPPED OUT. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH ON SECONDARY RESIDENTIAL ROAD WHICH WAS FREE OF BUMPS, DIPS, ETC. SUDDENLY I HEAR A BANG, THE CAR JERKS AND TIRE SCREECHES. I THOUGHT IT MUST BE A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM SO I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND STEER IT ONTO THE SHOULDER. UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE I SEE THE DRIVERSIDE WHEEL HAS UNATTACHED FROM THE BALL JOINT AND IS NOW KICKED OUT @ 90DEGREES. THE CV IS TORN FROM TRANSMISSION, STABILIZER LINK IS TWISTED, STRUT WAS BENT WAY BACK, TIRE HAS HOLE WORN IN IT, SLIGHT BODY DAMAGE. I WAS EXTREMELY LUCKY THAT I HAD NOT MADE IT O THE HIGHWAY YET. THE BALL JOINT WAS NOT BROKEN IN ANY WAY; IT HAD JUST SLIPPED FROM ITS CUFF. I NOW HAVE THE BALL JOINT AND BOLT THAT HOLDS IT TO THE SUSPENSION KNUCKLE AT HOME FOR MY OWN INSPECTION. THERE IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE HERE. THIS IS AN ENGINEERING AND DESIGN FLAW AND SHOULD HAVE NEVER MADE IT PAST THE DRAWING BOARD. BASICALLY, YOU HAVE BARELY 1/16" OF THE SIDE OF THE 1/2" BOLT EXPOSED TO A GROOVE FOR ROUGHLY 1/4". I MEASURED THESE WITH A PAIR OF HIGH GRADE CALIPERS AND WAS APPALLED, I WAS APPALLED WHEN I JUST LOOKED AT THE ASSEMBLY,BUT THOSE NUMBERS ARE WEAK. MY SISTER WAS IN A NEAR FATAL AUTO ACCIDENT LAST YEAR. IT WAS NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHAT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT. SHE WAS IN A COMA. GUESS WHAT... SHE WAS DRIVING A FORD FOCUS. *TR
I WAS JUST ABOUT PARKED WHEN THE CAR ACCELERATED ON IT'S OWN. OVER THE CURB, THROUGH A WOOD FENCE AND INTO A CAMPING TRAILER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE. TOYOTA IS NOT THE ONLY COMPANY WITH THIS PROBLEM. CAR WAS TOWED AWAY AND I'M NOT SURE IF IT IS REPAIRABLE OR IF THE INSURANCE COMPANY WILL TOTAL IT.

CONSUMER STATES SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE TO INCLUDE STEERING COLUMN AND IGNITION SWITCH *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS A TELESCOPING STEERING WHEEL AND IF PUSHED IN ALL THE WAY, IT WOULD CAUSE THE FUSE FOR THE IGNITION TO BLOW OUT WHEN THE IGNITION WAS STARTED. THE IGNITION SWITCH WOULD NOT RELEASE THE KEY WHEN IT WAS TURNED OFF. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE IS A FLAW WITHIN THE STEERING COLUMN. *JB
ON 2/26/2011 AT APPROXIMATLY 1900 HRS. I WAS AT NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE IN LAS VEGAS NEVADA I HAD TO PULL OVER IN A SAFE AREA TO LOOK FOR MY ID AS I GOT OUT OF THE CAR WITH THE CAR IN PARK AND EMERGENCY BRAKE ON I PROCEEDED TO LIFT THE HANDLE IN FRONT OF THE SEAT THAT ALLOWES IT TO BE MOVED FORWARD SO I CAN LOOK UNDER THE SEAT FOR MY ID,I COULDN'T SEE IT SO I PROCEEDED TO DO THE SAME WITH THE PASSANGER SEAT AND IT WASEN'T THERE SO AGAIN I WAS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND AGAIN PULLING UP THE HANDLE AND MY RIGHT SIDE OF MY FACE AND EAR WAS WITHIN AN INCH OF THE SIDE AIR BAG WHEN IT EXPLODEDAND NOCKED ME UP AGAINST THE DRIVERS DOOR FRAME AND THE AIRBAG POWDER WAS ALL OVER ME AND FOR 30 SECONDS I COULDN'T SEE OR HEAR. MY FACE WAS ON FIRE WITH ACID BURNS ALL OVER MY FACE AND MY RIGHT EAR. I WAS SEEN AT THE ER AND WAS TREATED WHICH INCLUDED A CAT SCAN OF MY HEAR TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY INTERNAL TRAMA AND THAT WAS NEGATIVE HOWEVER I HAD DEVELOPED TMJ BECAUSE OF THE IMPACT TO MY JAW AND MIGRAIN HEADACHES WHICH HAVE NOT SUBSIDED TO THIS DAY. ALL REPORTS AND PICTURES ID TAKEN WERE SENT THROUGH E-MAIL TO FORD CLAIMS DEPT. I WAS SENT THE PAPER WORK TO FILL OUT AND SEND IT BACK TO THEM,IN MARCH 2011 I HAVE TO GOT TO A DEALER TO HAVE THE CHIP RED AND IT COST TO HAVE THAT DONE WAS $103.48. IT STATES THAT THE DTC B1231 RESTRAINT SYSTEM WAS SUFFICIENT IMPACT TO WARRENT A DEPLOYMENT YET INDICATES THAT NO COLLISION OCCURED. UPDATED 02/21/13 THE CONSUMER STATED THE EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION, AFTER HAVING THE FLUID FLUSHED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS WERE RIGID AND WERE EASY TO BREAK, THE REAR SUSPENSION SPRINGS WERE NOT DESIGNED TO CARRY WEIGHT, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO BOUNCE ON THE HIGHWAY AND SECONDARY ROAD BUMPS. THE HEAT SHIELDS ATTACHED TO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WERE DESIGNED POORLY, TO THE POINT THEY WERE BENT AND CAUSED A RATTLE. THE STEEL RIMS, BENT EASILY, WHICH CREATED A VIBRATION AND BALANCE PROBLEM. THE HEADLIGHTS LENSES WERE DISCOLORED, THE VALVE COVER GASKET LEAKED OIL ONTO THE SPARK PLUGS, THE HOOD CABLES WERE DEFECTIVE. THE HOOD CABLE FROZE AND BROKE. UPDATED 07/25/13

FORD FOCUS 2005 WAGON. NOTICED THAT ELECTRIC LOCK WILL NOT OPEN HATCH BACK, BUT TOOK NO ACTION TO CORRECT. INCIDENT: COULD NOT MOVE SHIFT LEVER OUT OF PARK LEAVING MOTORIST STRANDED. FOUND THAT SHARED BRAKE LIGHT FUSE WAS BLOWN. REPLACED FUSE, BUT WONDERED ABOUT ROOT CAUSE SO TESTED BRAKE LIGHTS. IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON WHEN BRAKE PEDAL WAS NOT PRESSED OR PRESSED. REALIZED THAT THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN, AS OTHER DRIVERS WILL NOT BE AWARE WHEN THE BRAKE IS PRESSED. AFTER WEB SEARCH, I OBSERVED MANY DOCUMENTED CASES OF DAMAGED WIRING HARNESS; I OPENED THE HATCH AND REMOVED THE RUBBER BOOT COVERING THE WIRING HARNESS. IMMEDIATELY OBSERVED THAT SEVERAL WIRES WERE SEVERED AND OTHERS DAMAGED. *TR

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS IN DRIVE AND UNDER WAY WHEN RPMS RACED UP. IT SEEMED TO BE OUT OF GEAR. TRANSMISSION INDICATED IT WAS IN DRIVE. I THOUGHT THAT THE OD GEAR HAD MALFUNCTIONED. AFTER DISENGAGING THE OD THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO BE LOCKED IN 2ND GEAR (AS ENGINE RPM & SOUND INDICATED). AFTER TAKING IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP IT WAS DETERMINED THE SHIFT SOLENOIDS WERE OK & IT REQUIRED THE TRANSMISSION TO BE TORN APART FOR INSPECTION. MAZDA PROVIDES THE AUTOMATIC TO FORD. THE TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT FAIL AT THIS MILEAGE. ACCORDING TO THE REPAIR SHOP IT WAS THE 4TH LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE IN A WEEK REQUIRING A COMPLETE REBUILD OF THE TRANSMISSION.
PURCHASED THE CAR NEW, HAVE HAD TO HAVE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY REPLACED 3 TIMES NOW. EVERY TIME IT GOES OUT WITHOUT WARNING AND IN MOST CASES ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN HEAVY CITY TRAFFIC. I ALMOST COULDN'T STOP NOR STEER THE CAR SAFELY AWAY FROM THE ROAD. EACH OCCURRENCE HAS COST ME 500.00 USD FROM TOWING, PARTS, AND LABOR. *TR

THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS COME ON AGAIN FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND HAS NOT TURNED ITSELF OFF. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT IF I SHOULD BE IN A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT, MY AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY.
