On June 22 myself and my wife were pulling out of the Food Lion Parking Lot. As we proceeded out to the main Road the gas pedal stuck. The car kept accelerating and know matter what I did I could free the gas pedal. Because of that we hit 3 cars in the intersection. Our car literally exploded putting Myself and my wife in the hospital .My wife has had 3 surgeries for a broken pelvis.She is still in serious condition.Myself I suffered 3 broken ribs and a lacerated liver. Ford should be held accountable for our terrible pain and suffering.?
[XXX] WERE DRIVING IN THEIR 2010 FORD FOCUS AND ATTEMPTED TO STOP AT A SIGN. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP AND ACCELERATED. THE SHEPHERD WERE IN A CRISIS. THE VEHICLE JUMPED A RAILROAD TRACK, FLIPPED, AND LANDED IN AN EMBANKMENT. [XXX] AIRBAG (PASSENGER) DID NOT DEPLOY. BOTH ARE SERIOUSLY INJURED AND WOULD LIKE TO FILE A CLAIM AGAINST FORD MOTOR COMPANY REGARDING THE DEFECTS. WHEN TRAVELING IN REVERSE AT A VERY SLOW SPEED (BETWEEN 1 & 4 MPH) THE CAR CONTINUES TO TRAVEL FOR ABOUT A SECOND OR TWO WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE. THIS HAS HAPPENED INTERMITTENTLY SINCE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM THE DEALER. IT IS MORE LIKELY TO HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING AND/OR WHEN IT IS COLD OUTSIDE, BUT CAN HAPPEN OTHER TIMES. IT IS FAIRLY INFREQUENT. I HAVE HAD A FORD DEALERSHIP CHECK IT, BUT NOTHING WAS EVER FOUND. IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN FROM TIME TO TIME AND HAPPENED RECENTLY. MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS USUALLY OCCURS IN A PARKING LOT WHEN BACKING OUT OF A SPACE. IF A PERSON OR CAR COMES BEHIND ME WHILE I AM REVERSING, THE BRAKES MAY NOT IMMEDIATELY WORK WHEN I TRY TO STOP SUDDENLY.
I'VE REPLACED MY MOTOR MOUNTS THREE TIMES WITHIN 4 MONTHS. MY CAR STILL IS SHAKING, MY HEAT AND AIR ONLY WORKS ON THE RIGHT SIDE, UNDER MY HOOD SOUNDS LIKE A TICKING NOISE. THIS IS ALL WHILE PARKED. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHAT WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WA NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000. UPDATED 01/23/14*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED ALONG WITH THE BRAKES SQUEAKING, SHE HAD TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK, WHEN COMING TO A STOP. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE ENGINE. UPDATE 01/24/14
2010 FORD FOCUS DRIVER'S FRONT BRAKE PAD COMPLETELY WORN AWAY PRIOR TO 18,000 MILES, TOOK IN FOR WARRANTY COVERAGE AND TOLD IF THE CALIPUR WAS BAD IT WOULD BE REPLACED PER WARRANTY. FORD TECH STATED CALIPER WAS STICKING BUT I WAS OVER THE 18,000 MILE TIMEFRAME FOR MAINTENANCE ISSUES. I CONTACTED SEVERAL INDEPENDANT BRAKE COMPANIES AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO REASON FOR THE BRAKES TO FAIL AT THAT MILEAGE AND AGE. FORD WANTED TO CHARGE ALMOST $500 FOR REPAIR. TOOK TO ANOTHER INDEPENDANT BRAKE SERVICE PLACE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE CALIPER IS STICKING, HAD TO REPLACE DRIVER'S FRONT BRAKE PAD AS IT WAS WORN METAL TO METAL AND DID DAMAGE TO THE ROTOR. NO WARNING THAT BRAKES WERE GOING BAD UNTIL THE PAD WAS COMPLETELY WORN AWAY AT WHICH TIME I CONTACTED FORD AND TOOK IT IN. FORD REFUSED TO RECOGIZE IT WAS A DEFECT. *TR
FOUR WEEKS AFTER I PURCHASED MY 2010 FORD FOCUS, I TURNED ON THE A/C AND TO MY SURPRISE THE A/C NEVER GOT COLD. I HAD IT RUNNING FOR 20 MINUTES BUT IT NEVER GOT COLD. THE NEXT DAY CALLED AND TOOK THE CAR TO BE CHECKED OUT, THEY KEPT IT TWO DAYS AND HAD ME COME PICK IT UP SAYING THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO INVESTIGATE. THE NEXT DAY I GOT A CALL FROM FAIRFIELD FORD SAYING THAT THERE WAS A OBJECT IN THE A/C AND NOT COVERED BY MY WARRANTY! WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR IN FEBRUARY IT WAS STILL COLD WEATHER SO NEVER TURNED ON THE A/C WHEN I DID THE TEST DRIVE, NEVER WOULD THINK THAT A ALMOST NEW CAR THAT IS PRE-OWNED WOULD HAVE A BAD A/C SYSTEM!! I TRULY THINK THE A/C WAS BAD AND THEY KNEW IT PRIOR TO SELLING THE CAR TO ME. NOW HAVING SQUEAKS WHEN I BACK OUT MY GARAGE IN THE MORNINGS, RECENTLY HAD IT CHECKED AND THE SAY MY BACK DRUMS ARE NO LONGER ROUND AND NEED TO BE RESURFACED OR REPLACED!! ONLY HAVE HAD THIS CAR 6 WKS NOW AND SO FAR HAVE TWO MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH IT, HAVE NOTIFIED THE BBB ABOUT THE A/C, GUESS NOW HAVE TO CONTACT THEM ABOUT THE BRAKES TOO.! *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE BRAKES AND STRUTS, BECAUSE THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE 15,506.
