The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel failed to turn in the intended direction and instead turned in the opposite direction. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with a failed steering column. The contact was informed that the steering column needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised that the parts to repair the vehicle were discontinued. In addition, the contact was informed that the aftermarket parts were not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.
I did not crash the vehicle I bought it preowned
My car made grinding sounds when turning the steering wheel. My mechanic found a leak on Power Steering Pump & replaced it. My car has only 48,800 miles & there's a recall for Ford Trucks with the same problem.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 MPH, the wrench symbol was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was vibrating and shaking and there was an abnormal sound coming from underneath the vehicle. The contact stopped the vehicle, the engine was still running and attempted to shift into reverse(R), but the vehicle would not shift into reverse(R). The contact was able to shift into drive(D) however, the vehicle failed to exceed 15 MPH. The contact drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The contact had been informed by the mechanic that the failure could be related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V845000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 159,000.
I hit an animal in my way to work as I reported the accident to my insurance company they were going to cover the parts and have it towed to my choice as it was however the professional car shop wasn't able to fix the anti theft that caused my car to not turn over as I was then told to take it to the nearest Ford dealer to get it reprogrammed to the original status I was told that it would cost more to fix the problem then what my car was purchased for so my insurance company claimed a total loss of the vehicle, Oliver Ford Lincoln Mercury in Plymouth Indiana sold me a lemon as I was a customer to them for over 8 yrs and covid came in the middle of my lease being up on 2017 Ford fusion I asked if I could purchase my lease vehicle but was refused and told no because I was collecting unemployment benefits but for the last year and half I paid my car note out of my unemployment benefits money each month but they didn't seem to accept my money then, I have always been a Ford customer and drove 4 brand new Ford fusions and paid off each one with my hard earned money, I was devastated by the decision of being told that my unemployment money wasn't earned money, yes correct it wasn't earned Money that I paid into it was because of my employer who paid in for me as I worked enough for the company to take care of me while I suffered through no fault of my own a pandemic that should not be held as a turniquit over my ability to have transportation no matter what money is paid and where it comes from I felt disappointed discriminated and I will never buy or refer any customer or vehicle
The lug nuts are corroded and we are unable to remove them for tire rotation.
BACKING UP THE WHEEL BARELY TURNS AND IT LOCKS UP WHILE BACKING UP, MAKING TURNS, THE WHEEL LOCKS UP AS I MAKE TURNS LEFT AND RIGHT I'LL BRING IT TO THE SHOP SEVERAL TIMES BUT THIS ISSUE PERSISTS EVERY YEAR I BUY A NEW POWER STEERING SYSTEM EVERY YEAR. I HAVE BROUGHT 3 POWER STEERING SYSTEMS FROM FORD 3 YEARS IN A ROW.IT'S DEADLY!
THE BACK PASSENGER DOOR LOCKS ARE STUCK LOCKED AND THE DOORS CAN'T OPEN OR THEY STAY STUCK OPEN AND THE DOOR DOESN'T STAY SHUT. I'VE HAD THE LOCKS REPLACED AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN.
MY 2012 FORD FOCUS IS EQUIPPED WITH THE DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION AND HAS HAD ISSUES FROM THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. SHUDDERING UPON START WAS THE BIGGEST ISSUE. CAR FINALLY STOPPED RUNNING AND WAS REPAIRED AT DEALER BUT NOW THE TRANSMISSION IS EXTREMELY NOISY AND WILL SLIP OUT OF GEAR INTO NEUTRAL WITHOUT WARNING, INCLUDING ON HIGHWAYS AT SPEED. TRANSMISSION WILL ALSO SLIP QUITE BADLY UPON LAUNCH AT TIMES WHICH CAN BE A CAUSE OF AN ACCIDENT WHEN TRYING TO ENTER TRAFFIC.
TIRE SENSOR FAULT , DOUGLES TIRES LOOSING AIR
THE CLUTCH SYSTEM ON MY MANUAL 2011 FORD FOCUS WENT OUT. THE CLUTCH NOW PLAYS ON THE FLOOR BOARD WITH NO CATCH IN IT. THE GEARS WONT BUDGE. I RESEARCHED AND SEEN THE NEWER MODELS HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY CAR. WHEN THE CLUTCH WENT OUT IT WAS ON THE MAIN HIGHWAY IN BRIDGE CITY, TX.
THE DOOR HANDLES, LATCH AND UNLOCKING MECHANISM FAIL, CAUSING THE DOORS TO REMAIN LOCKED. YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE DOORS FROM THE INSIDE OR OR OUTSIDE.

WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED LIT, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT START. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NICK ABRAHAM ELYRIA FORD (1115 E BROAD ST, ELYRIA, OH 44035, 440-366-3673) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO REPAIR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE KEY FOB. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 139,668.
I WAS ALMOST INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT WITH A 18 WHEELER BECAUSE MY BRAKES WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO STOP.
MY POWER STEERING TURNS ON AND OFF WITHOUT WARNING. I HAVE HAD TIE ROD ENDS, RACK, PINION, POWER STEERING PUMP, AND LINES REPLACED. THAT HAS NOT FIXED THE ISSUE.
ONLY 3 OUT OF 4 DOORS OPEN, THE OUTSIDE DOOR LATCHES HAVE FAILED SINCE PURCHASE IN 2013. HAVE ALSO CONTINUALLY FAILED/RE-BROKE AFTER BEING FIXED. CAR ALSO DOES NOT UNLOCK AFTER BEING LOCKED AND INSIDE DOOR MECHANISMS DO NOT UNLOCK AFTER BEING ENGAGED.. HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. ALSO MULTIPLE TIMES THE A SOLENOID HAS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE CAR DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY AND FAILS TO ACCELERATE SAFELY (TAKES A OVER A MIN TO GO FROM 35-60) AND EVEN THEN IT WILL NOT MAINTAIN 60 MILES PER HOUR GOING UP A HILL . THIS IS A AUTOMATIC VEHICLE , AND IT IS UNSAFE , ESPECIALLY WHEN EXITING OFF A ONRAMP TRYING TO EXCEL TO POSTED SPEED LIMIT TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC OFF THE RAMP. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS/ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE SINCE ITS PURCHASE AND IT IS A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE.
THE EVAPORATOR COIL IN MY CAR IS LEAKING AND SPRAYING REFRIGERANT IN MY CAR. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION AND OR IN PARK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOORS WOULD NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE, EXCEPT FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. ALSO, THE KEY FAILED TO OPEN THE VEHICLE'S DOORS WHEN LOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FORD GROVES (1501 N KINGSHIGHWAY ST, CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO 63701) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR HANDLES AND RODS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,067.
DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYS ON CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS NOT IN USE. THE SENSOR WILL GO OFF WHILE DRIVING AND UNLOCK ALL DOORS, EVEN IF THE CHILD SAFETY FEATURE IS ACTIVATED. BECAUSE OF THIS MESSAGE THE DOME(MAP) LIGHT ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR WILL RANDOMLY TURN ON AND OFF. THIS ALSO CAUSES THE BATTERY TO DRAIN.
MY CAR HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH A MYSTERY BATTERY DRAIN FOR TWO YEARS. SINCE MARCH OF 2019 IT HAS BEEN STALLING AT STOP LIGHTS SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN THE RPM NEEDLE DROPS. IN THE WINTER OF 2018 I HAD ISSUES TWICE WHERE I TRIED ACCELERATING AND THE MPH NEEDLE WOULDN'T MOVE PAST 20 IT DID EVENTUALLY SPEED UP WITH ME NOT PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL I ALSO HAD A HARD TIME BREAKING WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
THE DOOR AJAR SENSOR WARNING LIGHT FOR MY DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR KEEPS COMING ON. THE DOOR IS CLOSED. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN PARKED. WITH THIS DEFECTIVE SENSOR IT ALSO SETS THE ALARM OFF EVERY 5-10 MINUTES WHILE LOCKED, ALONG WITH THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LIGHTS COMING ON SPORADICALLY.
THE REAR WHEEL BEARINGS HAD TO BE REPLACED AFTER MAKING A VERY LOUD NOISE WHEN THE CAR WAS IN MOTION, WORSENING WITH SPEED. THEY HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE SINCE THEN AND THAT WAS JUST OVER 6 MONTHS AGO! THE MECHANIC INFORMED US THAT THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE ANYTHING WRONG THAT WOULD CAUSE THEM TO KEEP WEARING OUT.
TAKATA RECALL THERE IS A RECALL ON 2011 FORD FOCUS, BUT NOT WITH MY VIN NUMBER. HOWEVER THERE IS A WHITE POWDER ESCAPING FROM THE CONNECTION OF THE STEERING COLUMN AND THE STEERING WHEEL. THE WHITE POWDER FORMS COLUMNS OF WHITE ON THE HORN ASSEMBLY OF THE STEERING WHEEL. SERVICE MAN TOLD ME IT COULD BE DANGEROUS.
FORD FOCUS 2011, IGNITION KEY TUMBLER FAILURE, CAN NOT START CAR. TUMBLER IN IGNITION NOT WORKING, TOLD I NEED TO REPLACE AND REPROGRAM CAR, CAN ONLY BE DONE BY DEALER. CHECKED ON LINE, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM, NO RECALL FOUND, WHY NOT. I WAS AT THE MALL XMAS SHOPPING, HAD TO HAVE CAR TOWED.
I AM A WIDOW, I HAVE CHILDREN TO TAKE CARE OF. SO FOR SOMETHING LIKE THE IGNITION COIL TO ALL OF A SUDDEN GO BAD AND COST ME $850 IS REDICULOUS. I WAS AT WORK AND MY CAR WOULD NOT START. NO WARNING, NO NOTHING. ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE READ OTHERS ONLINE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I'M BEGINNING TO WONDER IF FORD IS JUST IGNORING THIS OR IS IT A WAY FOR FORD TO MAKE MORE MONEY OFF OF INNOCENT HARD WORKING PEOPLE. THE VEHICLE HANDLES HORRIBLY ON WET AND/OR ICY ROADS. WHEN STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR SIGN AT EVEN A VERY SLIGHT INCLINE THE TIRES HAVE TROUBLE GETTING TRACTION. THIS IS THE WORST VEHICLE FOR WET/ICY ROADS I'VE EVER DRIVEN. IT IS ALSO THE FIRST, AND MOST LIKELY THE LAST, FORD I WILL OWN.
MY HUSBAND HAD RETURNED FROM THE STORE AND PULLED UP INTO OUR SLIGHTLY ANGLED DRIVEWAY, HE WAS CHECKING HIS RECEIPT FOR AN ERROR AND THOUGHT HE HAD THE CAR IN PARK. HE GOT OUT TO CARRY SOME BAGS UP TO THE PORCH AND WHEN HE RETURNED HE NOTICED THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING. HE REACHED IN TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BECAUSE IT WAS STILL IN DRIVE THE CAR STARTED ROLLING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY, HE WAS ABLE TO REACH OVER AND GET IT IN PARK BUT IT DID NOT STOP ROLLING AND CONTINUED AT A GREATER SPEED PULLING HIM PARTIALLY OUT OF THE CAR AND DRAGGING HIM RESULTING IN A FRACTURED NECK, MASSIVE BRUISING ON HIS ABDOMEN AND DUE TO THE SHOCK OF THE INCIDENT KIDNEY FAILURE FOR THREE DAYS. WE REALIZE IT WAS HIS FAULT FOR NOT TURNING THE CAR OFF AND NOT HAVING IT IN PARK. MY BROTHER-IN-LAW CAME OVER IN HIS DODGE AND TRIED THE SAME THING AND HIS TRUCK IMMEDIATELY WENT IN TO PARK, IF HE OPENS HIS DOOR WHILE THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING EVEN SLIGHTLY THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY GOES INTO PARK. WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FORD VEHICLE FANS BUT THIS IS HAVING US RETHINK OUR DECISION ON A NEW CAR. WE THINK WE KNOW WHY IT DID NOT STOP WHEN HE PUT IT IN PARK WHILE IT WAS ROLLING BUT THERE IS NOT A SAFE GUARD TO PREVENT THESE KIND OF ACCIDENTS ARE UNCALLED FOR. IF A YOUNG CHILD WERE TO GET IN THIS VEHICLE AND TAKE IT OUT OF DRIVE THERE COULD BE HORRIBLE CONSEQUENCES. THE CAR ROLLED ALL THE WAS DOWN OUR DRIVEWAY INTO THE STREET (APP. 60 FT DRIVEWAY), HE WAS STUCK IN BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR, AFRAID HE WAS GOING TO GET RUN OVER. HE WAS FINALLY ABLE TO FREE HIMSELF AFTER APP. 40 FT. MY GRANDSON HAS A FORD EDGE AND IT DID THE SAME THING. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. IF THE ANGLE OF THE DRIVEWAY HADN'T BEEN WHAT IT WAS I AM SURE IT WOULD HAVE STARTED ROLLING BEFORE MY HUSBAND GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE.
2011 FORD FOCUS SE TRANSMISSION PULLING AND JERKING, CAUSING THE TIRES TO VIBRATE WHILE DRIVING. UPON FIRST ACCELERATING BEFORE MOTOR WARMS UP, THE CAR SOUNDS LIKE A TRUCK. IT IS EXTREMELY LOUD. THE CAR HAS TO BE MOVING FOR AWHILE BEFORE THE LOUD NOISE DECREASES SOME, BUT THE NOISE CONTINUES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FOCUS. WHEN THE DRIVER WAS ATTEMPTING TO UNLOCK THE DOORS, THE FRONT LOCKS AUTOMATICALLY LIFTED UP, BUT THE REAR LOCKS REMAINED INSIDE THE DOORS. ALL FOUR DOORS WERE NOT ABLE TO BE OPENED. THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO LIFT THE REAR LOCKS, BUT THE KNOBS FOR THE DOOR LOCKS WERE LOCATED. THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO MANUALLY LIFT THE KNOBS DUE TO THEM BEING INSIDE THE DOOR PANEL. THE DRIVER HAD TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS IN ORDER TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (WINDELL FORD) WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT ALL LOCKS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FACT THAT THE LOCKS COULD NOT BE MANUALLY DISENGAGED WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,046.
Door latches inoperable. Cannot open from outside the vehicle. Passenger side front and both back doors. Back door passenger side door does not open from inside either. Had to pay $373 to Ford dealer to replace driver door latch because it wouldn't latch and made the dashboard not work. Latch codes as follows: driver 02717a (new), passenger 224100 (or 224188 cant see it clearly). Left rear 22418a Right rear cannot open door at all to see latch code. These 3 doors cannot be opened from outside and the rear right door cannot be opened at all. The contact is just inquiring if these door latches will be recalled.
SEVERAL TIMES, MY BREAKS HAVE NOT RESPONDED WHILE PRESSING DOWN ON THEM, MY FOOT WILL BE TO THE GROUND AND THERE IS NOTHING. IT CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED GOING 35 MILES AN HOUR.
WHEN THE CAR IS IDLING WHETHER IN PARK OR DRIVE, IT WILL LOSE POWER AND I NOTICE THE RPM NEEDLE BOUNCES ALL OVER THE PLACE. I HAVE HAD THE CAR COMPLETELY DIE ON ME 3 DIFFERENT TIMES AS I HAVE STARTED TO ACCELERATE. LUCKILY ALL 3 TIMES WERE WHEN I WAS LEAVING A DRIVE-THRU AND WASN'T IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. IT WILL LURCH AND SPUTTER WHEN IN DRIVE AND THE BRAKE IS APPLIED. I TOOK IT TO OUR LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW IN 2010 AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CHECKED TO SEE IF IT WAS ON THE RECALL LIST BECAUSE IT WAS SHOWING ALL OF THE SAME SYMPTOMS OF SEVERAL OTHERS THAT HAD A THROTTLE BODY RECALL AND I WAS LUCKY IT HADN'T LOST POWER GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH LIKE SOME OF THE OTHERS HAD. WHEN THEY CHECKED MY VIN IT DIDN'T HAVE A RECALL BUT I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE THE THROTTLE BODY REPLACED AND IT WOULD COST AROUND $600!! MY 2011 FOCUS ONLY HAS 48,000 MILES ON IT AND I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY IF IT HAS THE EXACT SAME MALFUNCTION AS THE RECALLED MODELS, THAT THE 2011 IS NOT A PART OF THAT RECALL?? I WOULD EXPECT A CAR TO BE BETTER MADE TO LAST A LITTLE LONGER THAN THIS! I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE MOTOR IN THE REAR WINDOW WORKED ON AND CLIPS REPLACED TWICE WITHIN THE FIRST 2 YEARS I HAD THE CAR BUT I LOVE MY FOCUS SO I THINK FORD SHOULD STEP UP AND FIX THE THROTTLE BODY ISSUE NO MATTER WHAT MODEL OF VEHICLE IT IS ON!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PAWL SPRINGS AND UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V643000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH).THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,889. WITH LESS THAT 70000 MILES ON THE CAR MY TRANSMISSION STARTED TO GO OUT ON ME. I HAVE SINCE HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED AS IT IS UNDER WARRANTY, AND LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER GETTING IT FIXED IT WAS ALREADY STARTED TO GO ON ME AND HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER THE SIX MONTHS.
TRANSMISSION SHIFTS HARD AS YOU DRIVE WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
MY RIGHT REAR DOOR FLEW OPEN WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AS I WAS TURNING ON TO A CITY HIGHWAY NEAR MY HOME. LUCKILY, I WAS CLOSE ENOUGH THAT I MADE IT HOME SAFELY, HOWEVER THE DOOR WOULDN'T LATCH AT ALL AFTER THIS INCIDENT. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I NORMALLY HAVE MY CAR SERVICED, THEY SAID THERE ARE MANY RECALLS FOR THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM WITH MANY FORD MODELS, MY MODEL INCLUDED, HOWEVER MY CAR DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL BASED ON THE VIN NUMBER AND THAT IT WAS ONE YEAR OLDER THAN THE OTHER MODELS THAT QUALIFIED FOR THE RECALL. THEY COULDN'T GET IT SCHEDULED TO REPAIR THE DOOR LATCH FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS, AND OBVIOUSLY IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITHOUT THIS PROBLEM BEING FIXED. I ENDED UP TAKING IT TO A DIFFERENT CAR SERVICE COMPANY WHO CONFIRMED IT WAS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM WITH THE RIGHT REAR DOOR LATCH, AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
EXCESSIVE TIRE WEAR. WENT TO ROTATE TIRES AND FOUND WEAR BANDS SHOWING. LESS THAN 19,000 MILES ON 60,000 MILE TIRES. ORIGINAL TIRES WORE OUT FAST, AND THOUGHT IT TO BE PREVIOUS OWNER OR CHEAP TIRES. WAS ABLE TO REPLACE ON TIRE WARRANTY, BUT FAILURE WAS IMMINENT WAS DOWN TO STEEL BANDS ON INSIDE OF WHEEL. PER ISSUES ON INTERNET FORUMS, WHY IS THIS BEING OVERLOOKED?? DO I HAVE TO FRICKEN DIE BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE?? AT $110 A POP PER TIRE AT A MINIMUM, THE BURDEN ON DRIVERS BECAUSE THIS IS OVERLOOKED IS OVERWHELMING. IS ANYTHING EVER GOING TO BE DONE??
"TAKATA RECALL" WE HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE ONE OF THE SEAT BELTS BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT LATCH AND ALSO THE PASENGER DOOR HAS ISSUES WITH LOCKING AND UNLLOCKING. IT WORKS OCCASSIONALLY BUT NOT ALWAYS. THE 2012 FOCUS WAS REACALLED FOR THIS ISSUE AND 2011 SHOULD BE TOO.
I WAS DRIVING WESTBOUND ON FLAMINGO ENROUTE TO WORK SPEED LIMIT 45 MPH EACH DIRECTION I HAD THE YELLOW FLASHING LEFT ARROW AS I STARTED MY LEFT TURN THE CAR DIED NO POWER ANOTHER VECHICLE WAS APPROACHING FROM WEST TO EAST AS I WAS TURNING LEFT I TURNED MY EMERGENCY FLASHERS AND THE CAR CAME WITHIN INCHES OF HTTING ME. I HAD MY CAR TOWED AND FOUND OUT IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY SENSOR SERIAL NUMBER PART NUMBER 8S4Z-9E926-B I CONSIDER THIS A SERIOUS RISK AND LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION FURTHERMORE IT COST ME CLOSE TO 900.00 FOR THE PARTS AND REPAIRS
THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW BUT THE TRANSMISSION HAS ALWAYS SHIFTED ROUGH. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS BECAUSE FORD HAD REDESIGNED THE TRANSMISSION SO IT WOULD SHIFT BETTER AND BE MORE FUEL EFFICIENT. EVEN THOUGH WE COMPLAINED THE DEALER SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO. CONSEQUENTLY, THIS PROBLEM HAS EFFECTED THE CARS OVERALL PERFORMANCE AND HAS NOW BECOME SO BAD THAT THE CAR IS DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS ROUGH, JUMPS OR LAUNCHES OUT , SHAKES, HAS HESITATION AND EVEN ROLLS BACK IF YOU ARE ON A HILL. CONSEQUENTLY, THE CAR SEEMS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AS IT FEELS AT TIMES LIKE THE CAR MIGHT JOLT OUT BECAUSE OF THE ROUGH SHIFTING. WHEN THE CAR SHIFTS ROUGH AT HIGH SPEEDS IT TENDS TO PULL IT TO ONE SIDE.

TAKATA RECALL I WAS COMING UP TO A STOP LIGHT READY TO PUSH THE CLUTCH IN TO SLOW DOWN. I TRIED TO PUSH IN THE CLUTCH AND IT WAS STUCK. I LET MY FOOT OFF AND TRIED AGIAN. THE CLUTCH WENT DOWN. I THOUGHT THAT WAS ODD AND DANGEROUS. I WAS GLAD MY WIFE WASN'T DRIVING. I WANTED TO PULL OVER AND SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. I GOT IN THE TURN LANE. WHEN I PUSHED THE CLUTCH IN TO GO THE CLUTCH WENT TO THE FLOOR AND I WAS STUCK IN THE TURN LANE. IT WAS A BUSY ROAD, BUT I WAS OFFERED HELP AND WAS ABLE TO PUSH IT THROUGH THE LIGHT AS IT CHANGED. I NOTICED THAT THE CONNECTION FROM THE CLUTCH TO THE PEDAL WAS BROKEN. A PLASTIC PIECE HAD BROKE. THE CAR ONLY HAS 57000 MILES. I FEEL LIKE I WAS LUCKY NOTHING HAPPENED. THAT PART SHOULD NOT BREAK ON A CAR. I WANT TO FEEL SAFE WHEN ME OR MY WIFE ARE DRIVING OUR VEHICLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ARE NOT REGISTERING CORRECTLY. THE ODOMETER AND THE MILES TO EMPTY DO NOT AGREE. THE AC WILL CUT OFF THEN BACK ON. THE WIPER BLADES WILL ONLY WORK ON HIGH BUT LATER CORRECT. THE MILES PER GALLON ARE NOT CORRECT. IT WILL REGISTER 34.8 TO 22.0 SITTING STILL PANEL LIGHTS WENT OFF WHEN I TURNED HEADLAMPS ON HIGH LATER IN THE DAY IT WAS ALRIGHT. THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN ON GOING FOR 2 YEARS. I HAVE HAD IT TO FORD MOTOR ON 11/8/2013 AND 11/4/15.
