The contact's daughter owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V523000 (Power Train). The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer and was informed that due to the salvage title, the recall would not be honored. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving 45 mph, the vehicle decelerated independently and failed to exceed 10-15 mph. There was no warning light illuminated. The driver parked on the side of the road until she arrived at the location to drive the vehicle to a nearby independent mechanic. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was informed by the independent mechanic that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The contact attempted to contact the manufacturer but was unable to reach a representative. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
I WANT TO KNOW WHY THE PEOPLE DRIVING THIS YEAR OF FORD FOCUS HAVE NOT BEEN COMPENSATED BY FORD FOR ALL OF THE "DEFECTS" ASSOCIATED WITH THIS VEHICLE? IN 3 YEARS TIME, I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY, SHOCKS, REPAIRED OIL LEAK, VAPOR MANAGEMENT VALVE AND REPLACED TIRES OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. THE RECALLS ARE UNREAL! I HAVE HAD IT IN THE SHOP FOR "FUEL TANK DEFORMATION RECALL", THE "TCM CLUTCH SHUTTER" HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES. NOT TO MENTION THE TIMES I HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR THAT TO BE FIXED, ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WASN'T THE PROBLEM WHEN IT WAS LATER VERIFIED THAT IT WAS. AND NOW I RECEIVE NOTICE THAT THE DOORS FLY OPEN WHILE DRIVING! I CAN'T TRADE IT IN, BECAUSE I AM $3,000 UPSIDE DOWN BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS NOT WORTH SQUAT.I HAVE LOST EMPLOYMENT BECAUSE OF THIS VEHICLE AND IT HAS SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACTED MY AND MY FAMILY'S QUALITY OF LIFE BECAUSE OF ALL OF THE PROBLEMS IT HAS CAUSED. I HAVE BEEN LOSING GAS FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS AND THE MECHANIC'S CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. WHEN I FILL UP, THE MILES TO EMPTY WILL SHOW FOR EXAMPLE 274, WHEN I DRIVE 1 MILE BY THE ODOMETER, THE MILES TO EMPTY HAS INDICATED 6. THAT IS A HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY I HAVE LOST IN THE PAST 2 YEARS. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS NOT BEEN FORCED TO COMPENSATE US UNFORTUNATE PEOPLE THAT GOT "STUCK" WITH A VEHICLE THEY KNEW HAD ISSUES! I HAVE ALL PAPERWORK FOR EVERYTHING I HAVE STATED ABOVE BUT THERE ARE OVER 100 PIECES OF PAPER. IF YOU REQUIRE THIS FROM ME I CAN MAKE COPIES AND SEND TO YOU BUT TO UPLOAD EVERYTHING IS TOO MUCH. I WENT TO GET IN MY CAR WHEI GOT IN I CLOSE THE BACK RIGHT DOOR AND IT WOULDN'T CLOSE I THEN WENT TO SEE THAT IT WAS A RECALL. THE NEXT DAY I TOOK MY CAR TO FORD I WAS TOLD THAT IT WASN'T MY VI. THAT WAS IN AROUND SEPTEMBER 2019. BC LAST MONDAY I WENT TO MY APPT GOT IN MY CAR CLOSE THE DOOR AND IT WOULDN'T CLOSE SO NOW MY DRIVER SIDE WANT CLOSE AND I AM AT A LOST BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR I DON'T MISS PAYMENT I JUST WANT A RELIABLE CARN
I PURCHASED THE FORD FOCUS TITANIUM HATCHBACK IN 2014 NEW, AND SINCE THEN IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP/MECHANIC OVER 25 TIMES DUE TO 2 MAJOR DEFECTS -- FORD POWERSHIFT TRANSMISSION AND ELECTRIC/ENGINE ISSUE WITH DRAINING THE BATTERY. I'VE HAD 4 BATTERIES AND AVERAGE 6-8 JUMP STARTS PER YEAR DUE TO THE ELECTRIC PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPUTER DRAINING MY BATTERY. I'VE COME VERY CLOSE TO HAVING AT LEAST 8 ACCIDENTS DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION FAULT. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED A COUPLE YEARS AGO AND IT WORKED WITHOUT HAVING THE SHIFTING STALL PROBLEM FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS. MY DEALER SAID THAT'S "ALL THEY CAN DO... FORD DOESN'T OFFER ANY PAYBACK OR REFUNDS DUE TO THESE 2 WELL-KNOWN LEMON DEFAULTS. I JUST CALLED THE 800 NUMBER FOR FORD TO FILE A COMPLAINT (800-392-3673) AND THEY STATED THAT I'D HAVE TO CALL BACK IN 2 HOURS BECAUSE THEIR SYSTEM IS DOWN. I ASKED IF I COULD FILE A COMPLAINT ONLINE AND THEY STATED, 'NO', YOU MUST CALL US TO FILE THE REPORT. DETAILS INVOLVING THE LACK OF SAFETY DUE TO THESE 2 ISSUES -- I'VE HAD MY ENGINE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ON AVERAGE OF 6-8 TIMES PER YEAR, PUTTING MY YOUNG CHILDREN AND SELF IN GREAT DANGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON ONE OCCASION WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE UPHILL, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JACK SCHMITT FORD (1820 VANDALIA ST, COLLINSVILLE, IL 62234) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED THE FAILURE TO 19V515000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. I HAVE HAD THE SOME PART OF THE FUEL AND TRANSMISSION CENSOR REPLACED A COUPLE OF TIME BY BUCKEYE FORD IN LONDON OHIO. THE LAST TIME I IT WAS REPLACED I WAS TOLD THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND THAT MY CAR COULD STOP RUNNING I AM CONCERNED THAT I WILL BE DRIVING AND SOMETHING JUST MAKES IT STOP THE RPMS GO UP TO 3 OR SO SOMETIMES AT TAKE OFF AND THERE IS A HESITATION PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS FOR ME. POWER STEERING HAS GOTTEN STIFFER IN THE LAST FEW DAYS. I BELIEVED IT MAY JUST BE FLUID BUT I CAME TO FIND OUT THE STEERING IS ELECTRIC ONCE THE CAR WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT MOVE AFTER BEING PARKED. I AM GLAD IT DID NOT GO OUT WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE THE SYSTEM HAD BEGUN TO FAIL AS I WAS MAKING A 15 MINUTE COMMUTE. DEFINITELY WILL NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN. THIS IS THE SECOND EXPENSIVE FIX I HAVE HAD TO ENDURE AND HAVE ONLY HAD THIS VEHICLE A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
ON MONDAY MARCH 9TH AROUND 5PM MY CAR HAD STALLED WHILE TAKING A LEFT HAND TURN. IT TOOK ABOUT AN HOUR TO RE-START WITH KEY FOB. ON MARCH 9TH AT 11:30 PM TURNED OFF VEHICLE TO GO INTO A STORE AND WOULD NOT START FOR OVER 2 HOURS. I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL TO THIS VEHICLE TODAY ON 3/12/2020 I HAD PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE ON 01/06/2020 WITH OUT ANY KNOWLEDGE OF A RECALL. I WANT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AS IT IS UNSAFE.

I HAVE FOUND THAT NUMEROUS PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE WITH A NUMBER OF THEIR FORDS THAT HAVE THE ELECTRONIC STERRING ASSIST. THIS HAPPENED TO ME THE FIRST TIME ON MARCH 5 THIS YEAR. CAR EMITS LOUD (HURTING MY EARS) STATIC AND CRACKLING SOUNDS AT THE SPEAKERS HIGHEST VOLUME. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING AND EVEN WHEN THE KEY IS NOT IN THE IGNITION CAUSING BATTERY DRAINAGE. THE SOUND IS TERRIFYING AND WHEN IT RANDOMLY HAPPENS DRIVING IS STARTLING ENOUGH TO CREATE A JERK REACTION/JUMP THAT COULD EASILY CAUSE A DISTRACTION OR AN ACCIDENT AS A DIRECT RESULT. IT IS NOT JUST STATIC - IT IS SO FRIGHTENING AN LOUD ON MY EARS THAT MY EARS RING FOR A LONG TIME AFTER DRIVING AND I FEEL LIKE THE CAR IS PRETTY MUCH UNDRIVABLE WITHOUT EARPLUGS. NEARBY DRIVERS CAN EVEN HEAR IT WITH MY WINDOWS ALL UP. IT HAS BEEN MAKING POPPING SOUNDS FOR YEARS THAT ARE ALSO TERRIFYING, BUT NOW IT;S SO MUCH WORSE AND HAPPENS EVERYTIME I USE THE CAR. F I WERE TO PULL THE FUSE AND JUST NOT HAVE A RADIO, FORD TELLS ME IT WILL PREVENT ME FROM USING TEMPERATURE CONTROLS AND DOOR LOCKS. FORD SAYS WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT THAT IT WILL COST ME 1100 FOR EACH PART DISFUNCTIONING WHICH IS EITHER THE APIM OR THE AUDIO CONTROL MODULE OR BOTH BUT OF COURSE THEY WILL HAVE TO CHARGE ME TO FIGURE OUT WHICH PARTS NEED REPLACING. THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT KEEPS SAYING THE TRANSMISSION IS HOT AND THE CAR STOPS AND YOU HAVE NO GAS POWER AT ALL. VERY DANGEROUS. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN 4 LANES OF TRAFFIC WHEN THE 2014 FORD FOCUS LOST ALL POWER. FORD KEEPS SAYING THEY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS AND NEEDS RECALLED IMMEDIATELY! THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE AND TWO FORD DEALERS SAID THEY CANNOT FIND THE CAUSE. RIDICULOUS
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate and jerk upon the depression of the accelerator pedal with the check engine and the transmission service now warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, the vehicle would not accelerate after multiple attempts to depress the accelerator pedal. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where they diagnosed the vehicle with a faulty transmission. The contact had then taken the vehicle to the dealer where she was informed that parts were on backorder and that the vehicle was still safe to be driven. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and informed her that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 50,000.
A FRIEND AND I WERE IN JACKSON, TENNESSEE ON 9/28/2018. WE WERE STOPPED(STATIONARY)AT THE LIGHT ON OIL WELL DRIVE AND 45 BYPASS. WHILE WE WERE AT THE LIGHT, THE CAR STARTED GOING IN REVERSE AND MY FRIEND ASKED ME "DORIS, WHY ARE WE GOING BACKWARDS?" A FEW SECONDS LATER, THE CAR'S NOTIFICATION SYSTEM GAVE A MESSAGE FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND PLEASE MOVE THE CAR TO SAFETY. AFTER I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES TO STOP THE CAR, IT SHOT FORWARD AND WE MANAGED TO GET TO THE NEAREST PARKING LOT. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE CALLED A TOWING COMPANY, AND THEY PULLED IT TO GOLDEN CIRCLE AUTO GROUP, WHERE I HAD PURCHASED THE CAR FROM IN 2013. THE PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED BY THEM, AND ANOTHER FORD DEALERSHIP, STEVE MARSH FORD WAS THE LAST ONE TO DO REPAIR WORK ON THE CAR. I PAID THEM $700.00, AND THEY SAID THAT I NEED ANOTHER $2000. THE CAR DOES NOT RUN, AND IS SITTING IN MY YARD. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS LEMON EVER SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN 2013.
AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE, THE FIRST TIME I GO TO START THE ENGINE IT GETS TO APPROX: 1000 RPM AND THEN RPM PROCEED TO DECREASE UNTIL THE CAR HAS STALLED. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START THE CAR THE SECOND TIME, THE RPM DROP BUT THE CAR CATCHES IT AND IT DOES NOT STALL. ONLY AFTER REFUELING DOES THIS ISSUE OCCUR.
RECENLTLY WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE OF SYMPTOMS, MY FORD 2014 FORD FOCUS DISPLAYED STEERING ASSIST FAULT WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START THE CAR AND LEAVE THE OFFICE. THE CAR LOST ALL POWER STEERING. I SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, AND RESTARTED THE CAR. THE POWER STEERING WAS RESTORED AND I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUE. THE CAR PERFOMED FINE FOR THE NEXT WEEK. THE FOLLOWING WEEK, THE CAR DISPLAYED THE SAME FAULT, BUT THIS TIME THE RESTART TRICK DID NOT WORK. I TRIED MANY OF THE SUPPOSED FIXES DISCUSSED ON THE INTERNET, BUT NONE OF THEM WORKED. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO THE SHOP AS I WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR. FURTHER INVESTIGATING ON THE INTERNET REVEALED NUMEROUS OTHER COMPLAINTS OF THIS SAME NATURE. I REACHED OUT TO FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND WAS HUNG UP ON EACH TIME. THEY PEOPLE AT THE CALL CENTER ARE LIKE ROBOTS REPEATING THE SAME LINE OVER AND OVER REGARDLESS OF MY QUESTION. THEN THEY HUNG UP ON ME. I WAS MADE AWARE OF A SERVICE BULLETIN THAT WAS FOR PROBLEMS WITH THE STEERING ASSEMBLY, BUT APPARENTLY IT ONLY APPLIES TO A SMALL NUMBER OF VEHICLES. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE, AND THEY REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SELLING A FAULTY PRODUCT. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD VEHICLE. I HAVE BEEN QUOTED A REPAIR PRICE OF $2500 TO REPLACE THE RACK AND PINION SYSTEM, AS THE COMPONENT PARTS ARE UNAVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE STILL PERSISTED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 58,885.
I AM SUFFERING WITH THE KNOWN SHUDDIRING OF THE DPS6 TRANSMISSION. I AM NOW ON MY 3RD CLUTCH AND IT ISN'T A PERMANENT FIX. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSED TO HELP OR ESCALATE TO SOMEONE WHO COULD HELP DEFRAY THE $2000 I JUST HAD TO PAY FOR A REPAIR WHICH WON'T PERMANENTLY FIX IT.

THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT A DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE WAS NOT PRESENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

I PICKED THE CAR UP AMD DROVE WITH MY SON THE VEHICLE DID NOT DRIVE RIGHT BECAUSE TRANSMISSION ISSUES. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN AFTER CONTACTING FORD MOTOR COMPANY ABOUT MY CONCERN WITH THE DRIVABILITY OF THE CAR. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT BUT HAD TO WAIT APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS BECAUSE THEY WERE REPLACING THE FLOOR IN THEIR SHOP. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON THE ENTIRE TIME UNTIL THE APPOINTMENT. AFTER DROPPING HE CAR OFF AND FORD DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM, I RECEIVED A CALL SAYING FORD MOTOR IS NOW COVERING THE TRANSMISSION AND THEY WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR PARTS TO FINISH IT. AT THIS TIME THEY ALSO INFORMED ME THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOW ON BECAUSE OF THE PURGE VALVE. I HAD BARELY DRIVEN THE CAR SINCE THE LAST VISIT WHEN THE RECALLS WERE TAKEN CARE OF?? THEY STATED THAT THE PURGE VALVE WOULD NOT BE COVERED BECAUSE THE RECALL HAD BEEN COMPLETED ON THE FUEL TANK. RELUCTANTLY I TOLD THEM TO REPLACE AT MY COST. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED TO SAY THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETE. I PICKED IT UP THAT EVENING AND MADE IT 7 MILES AWAY FROM THE DEALER AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ONCE AGAIN. I CALLED THE DEALER IMMEDIATLEY TO LET THEM KNOW AND THEY COULD NOT GET ME IN RIGHT AWAY. MY SON AND I TOOK IT FOR A RIDE THE FOLLOWING DAY AND APPROXIMATY 40 MILES THE CAR LOST POWER AND COULD NOT GO ABOVE 40MPH ON THE INTERSTATE. FAULTY WASHER FLUID PUMP LEAKS INTO ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR WASHER PUMP AND WASHER FLUID GETS PUSHED INTO WIRING LOOM PAST THE FIREWALL AND DOWN INTO THE BCM( BODY CONTROL MODULE) CONNECTOR PART C2280D. THE WASHER FLUID THEN RUNS FROM THE CONNECTOR ONTO THE MALE PINS OF THE BCM CORRODING THE PINS AND SHORTING OUT THE BCM. THIS CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO EXHIBIT MANY FAULTS, THE WORST ARE THE VEHICLE NOT STARTING OR AS IN MY CASE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHUT OFF AND CONTINUES TO RUN EVEN WITH THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. I TOOK MY CAR INTO MY MECHANIC FOR A HORN PROBLEM AND WHILE THERE HE TOLD ME THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE POWER STEERING. I HAD ISSUES WITH THE STEERING LOCKING UP BEFORE BUT THOUGHT IT WAS IS A STUCK GEAR OR SOMETHING TILL HE TOLD ME IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE EPAS. HE HAD MENTIONED IT COULD LOCK UP AND I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT IT TO HIM BEFORE. IT'S LOCKED UP A FEW TIMES BUT THE MOST RECENT ONE WAS NOT EVEN A FEW MONTHS AGO. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST COLD AND IT HAD TO WARM UP A BIT AS IT WAS RATHER COLD OUT. LOOKING MORE INTO THIS THERE WAS A WHOLE LAWSUIT OUT OF CA FOR THIS SAME ISSUE WITH THE SAME YEAR AND MAKE OF CARS. THEY THREW IT OUT EVEN THOUGH FORD SAID THEY KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEMS. THAT WAS BACK IN 2017 AND YET THE CARS STILL HAVE THIS ISSUE AND THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING TO FIX IT. FORD SHOULD HAVE TO FIX THIS BUT THEY WANT ME TO PAY OVER 2,000$ TO HAVE THIS FIXED. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. I DON'T EVEN LET KIDS IN MY CAR ANY MORE BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN. I NOTICED SOMETHING WITH THE CAR. I HAD NO ACCELERATION LIKE THE ENGINE DIED. REGAINED POWER FOR A FEW MINUTES UNTIL THE ENGINE DIED. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO PARK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TRIED RESTARTING THE ENGINE SEVERAL TIMES. AFTER A HALF HOUR, I TRIED AGAIN ONLY FOR THE ENGINE TO SPUTTER TO AND IDLE. IT IDLED FOR 3 OR 4 SECONDSAND DIED AGAIN. AFTER ANOTHER HALF HOUR I TRIED AGAIN. I STARTED AND RAN ABOUT TEN MINUTES. I HAD THE CAR TOWED HOME IN FEAR OF STALLING OUT AGAIN.

FOR AT LEAST THE LAST THREE YEARS THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SHORT PERIODS OF NON-STARTING. IN OCTOBER, 2019 THE CAR WOULD NOT START PERIOD. PREVIOUS IT WAS ABLE TO START AFTER MOVING THE SHIFTER FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND BACK AND SOMETIME USING THE REMOTE START. THE OCTOBER ISSUE REQUIRED TOWING TO NORTH COUNTY FORD IN VISTA, CA. AFTER FIVE DAYS, IT WAS DETERMINED THE TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED AND NEEDED REPALCEMENT. AFTER REPLACEMENT THE NON-STARTING ISSUE RESOLVED, BUT IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS IT HAS RETURNED. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING.

1. CLUTCH SLIPS IN TRANSMISSION CAUSING VEHICLE TO STALL OR REACH DANGEROUS RPM'S BEFORE SWITCHING INTO ANOTHER GEAR. 2. REPAIR WAS DENIED BY FORD STATING THAT IT WASN'T RELATED TO THE CURRENT RECALL BUT WAS THE CLUTCHES THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. CLUTCHES ARE GOING OUT DUE TO THE TCM THAT WAS RECALLED ON THE VEHICLE. 3. HORN HAS DECIDED TO STOP WORKING ALONG WITH CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL DUE TO A WIRING ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. FUSES HAVE BEEN CHANGED ENSURING THAT IT IS A WIRING ISSUE. 4. HAZARD LIGHTS AS WELL AS HALF THE BUTTONS ON THE DASH INCLUDING RADIO, ETC. HAVE ALSO DECIDED TO STOP WORKING DUE TO A WIRING ISSUE IN THE VEHICLE. NO HAZARDS MAKING IT A RISK AND UNSAFE TO PULL VEHICLE OFF OF ROAD IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. 5. FORD DEALERSHIP THAT CAR WAS TAKEN TO STATED ALL RECALLS WERE COMPLETED BUT WHEN VIN IS ENTERED THROUGH FORDS WEBSITE IT STATES THAT ALL RECALLS ARE INCOMPLETE. FORD SENT ME A NOTICE FOR REPAIRS ON TRANSMISSION STATING IT WILL BE ALMOST $1400 TO REPLACE CLUTCHES IN TRANSMISSION. THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE CLUTCHES IF THERE WAS NEVER ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE TO BEGIN WITH. REPAIRING THE TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT BE ON THE OWNER OF THESE VEHICLES AND FORD SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR THE REPAIRS TO AN ISSUE THAT WAS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO CORRECT FROM THE BEGINNING AND WAS NOT CORRECTED IN A TIMELY MANNER.
SOMETIMES WHEN I'M BACKING UP, THE POWER STEERING QUITS AND I CAN'T TURN THE WHEEL, WHICH CAN RESULT IN A CRASH. I HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN, ONE OR MORE TIMES BEFORE IT WILL WORK. SO, WHILE I HAVE NO POWER STEERING, I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF ROAD, BLOCKING TRAFFIC, AND HOPING I DON'T GET HIT FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE.!
MY CAR HESITATE AND JERKS WHEN ADVANCING FROM A STOP. THIS IS VERY SCARY WHEN I'M ON THE HIGHWAY. MY CAR AT TIMES DOESN'T PICK UP SPEED I HAVE TO PRESS DOWN MORE THAN USUAL TO GET UP TO SPEED.I HAD MY FUEL PUMP REPLACE BECAUSE THE INDICATOR DETECTED AN ISSUE, WASN'T AWARE THAT THIS WAS A RECALL.
