2016 FORD FOCUS SE. VEHICLE HESITATION, STALLING. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON FOR P2196 AND P1450. VIN NUMBER DOES NOT SHOW IN SAFETY RECALL. CHECKED BY FORD DEALER.L 18S32-S1/ FORD REFERENCE # 19S22. PERTAINING TO LARGE RECALL FOR SOFTWARE UPDATE AND CANISTER PURGE VALVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FOCUS. AFTER REVERSING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE AT 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD, AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE NOISE CONTINUED WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. ONCE STOPPED, THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KOONS FORD OF ANNAPOLIS (2540 RIVA RD, ANNAPOLIS, MD 21401) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE PCM VALVE. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO MADE AWARE THAT A PORTION OF THE REPAIRS WERE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A MANAGER TO CALL BACK. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
DAY 1: GAS METER IS SHOWING I HAVE 1/4 GAS LEFT IN CAR THEN ALL OF SUDDEN CAR SHUTS OFF, I GO AND PUT GAS IN AND THEN WHEN I START IT UP IT STARTED UP ROUGH THEN SHUT OFF. I GO TO TURN IT ON AGAIN CRANKS FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN IT STARTED. FELT LIKE GAS TANK WAS ACTUALLY EMPTY AND STRUGGLED TO PUT FUEL THROUGH GAS LINES. DAY 2: 3 DAYS LATER I HAVE A LITTLE MORE THAN A 1/4 TANK OF GAS AS I AM DRIVING THE GAS METER STARTED TO GO UP TO 3/4 OF GAS. THAT IS STRANGE. AND CAR IS SPUTTERING LIKE IF IT HAD NO GAS.
CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING. THERE IS A CURRENT RECALL FOR VALVE ISSUES BUT DOES NOT COVER MY VEHICLE. TANK WAS LESS THAN HALF FULL, NO ENGINE MALFUNCTION LIGHT, BUT IT APPEARS NOT TO BE WORKING.
CAR HAS STALLED TWICE. ONCE WHILE AT A STOP. ONCE WHILE DRIVING. THE LATTER WHILE MY TANK WAS LESS THAN HALF FULL. THERE IS A VACUUM/VALVE ISSUE THAT FORD HAS RECALLED FOCUS VEHICLES ON, BUT NOT MY VEHICLE SPECIFICALLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING MALFUNCTIONED WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN ESPECIALLY WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN A STOPPED POSITION. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE THREE MONTHS AGO FROM DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM OF WINTER HAVEN (299 CYPRESS GARDENS BLVD, WINTER HAVEN, FL 33880, (888) 612-3182). THE CONTACT SUSPECTED THAT SHE WAS SOLD THE VEHICLE WITH THE STEERING CONDITION ALREADY PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
MY 2016 FORD FOCUS WAS SERVICED FOR FUEL SYSTEM RECALL 18S32 ON JULY 12,2019. A CODE WAS REPROGRAMMED. THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM OF THE ENGINE SPORADICALLY STALLING AND IT STILL POSES A SAFETY RISK. RETURNED TO FORD DEALERSHIP ON 09/03/2019. CAR WAS STILL STALLING AND "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" WAS ON. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON AFTER THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE HAD BEEN REPROGRAMMED IS A DIRECT INDICATION FUEL TANK IS DAMAGED -FORD RECALL 19S22, WITH A FUEL TANK DEFORMITY WHICH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED TO CORRECT THE SAFETY ISSUE. FORD DEALERSHIP POWER FORD IN ALBUQUERQUE,NM REFUSED TO DO THE CPV REPLACEMENT, CARBON CANISTER REPLACEMENT, FUEL DELIVERY MODULE AND FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT AS RECALL 19S22 CLEARLY STATES IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO DUE BECAUSE OF SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS.MULTIPLE ONLINE CONSUMER REPORTS STATE THIS THAT IF IT IS SERVICED FOR THE RECALL AND THEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON IT IS A DIRECT INDICATION IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY BECAUSE OF FAULTY MANUFACTURING- WHICH DAMAGES THE GAS TANK(FUEL TANK DEFORMITY. IT IS THEIR OBLIGATION TO FIX THE VEHICLE BEFORE AN ACCIDENT DOES HAPPEN. PASSENGERS IN THE CAR DAILY ARE A 10 MONTH OLD AND 2 YEAR OLD , WHO COULD BE GRAVELY INJURED BECAUSE OF THE CAR STALLING-ESPECIALLY ON THE BUSY FREEWAY THE CAR TRAVELS EVERYDAY..
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate upon the depression of the accelerator pedal as the service engine light would illuminate on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where he was informed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the vehicle was not under recall or warranty for the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred him to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
THE VEHICLE SHUDDERS WHEN ACCELERATING AND DOES NOT SLOW DOWN PROPERLY WHEN DECELERATING. THIS CONDITION BECOMES WORSE ON HOTTER DAYS AND WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT. ALSO, WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR SHUDDERS THE WORSE. THE CAR ALSO FEELS UNSAFE WHEN TRYING TO SLOW DOWN. IT FEELS AS IF THE CAR IS STAYING IN A HIGHER GEAR WHEN LETTING OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND NOT DOWNSHIFTING PROPERLY.
VEHICLE STALLS AT STOPS, VEHICLE WONT START AFTER FUELING AT GAS STATION, DTC P1450 ALWAYS PRESENT, HARD TRANSMISSION SHIFTING ON CITY STREETS.
THE 6-SPEED DUAL-CLUTCH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION HAS A WELL-DOCUMENTED SHUDDER WHEN BEGINNING TO ACCELERATE- JERKY MOTION, NO OR DELAYED MOTION, EXTREME SHAKING OF THE FRONT OF THE CAR. IT HAPPENS REPEATEDLY. FORD HAS REPAIRED THIS PROBLEM ONCE, BUT THE REPAIR PROCESS WAS FAULTY, AS THE PROBLEM HAS RETURNED. IN 8/2019, FORD EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON THE CAR TO 7 YEARS OR 100,000 MILES, FOR FOCUSES BUILT BETWEEN JULY 4, 2013, TO NOV. 5, 2015. MY 2016 FOCUS WAS BUILT AFTER THIS DATE, SO FORD IS NOT MAKING THE REPAIR. THEY CLAIM CHANGES WERE MADE TO SUBSEQUENT MODELS TO ALLEVIATE THE NEED FOR REPAIRS-- BUT MY 2016 FOCUS IS PROBLEMATIC FOR THE SECOND TIME, SHOOTING DOWN THAT ASSERTION.
THE UPDATE WAS DONE ON THE PCM DUE TO VEHICLE NOT STARTING AND FUEL GAGE SAYING EMPTY WHEN I KNEW IT HAD MORE THAN HALF TANK. NOW IT IS DOING THE SAME THING ONLY WORSE. IT WORRIES ME THAT THIS HAS CAUSE MY IGNITION TO GO BAD AS WELL DUE TO THIS RECALL.

I AM MAKING A COMPLAINT THAT MY 2016 FORD FOCUS WITH A INSTALLED AUTOMATIC DUAL-CLUTCH POWER-SHIFT TRANSMISSION. I AM EXPERIENCING SEVERE HESITATIONS WHEN I ACCELERATE. I AM EXPERIENCING A JERKY CAR MOVEMENT, AS I AM DRIVING, THIS HAVING G THE FEELING THAT I COULD LOSE CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE. THE DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE THE WORST IN NORMAL CITY DRIVING CONDITIONS, AS THE TRANSMISSION IS WORKING MORE THAN ON A INTERSTATE OR FREEWAY. MOST OF MY DIVING IS IN THE CITY. I HAVE TAKE IT TO LOCAL AUTHORIZED FORD DEALERSHIPS AND THEY SAY THERE IS NO RECALL, FIX, AND THAT IT WILL BE $289 TO GIVE A DIAGNOSIS. THERE IS CURRENTLY A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT THAT WAS FILED, BUT IS TOO LATE TO JOIN. I AM FILING MY COMPLAINT AGAINST HOW FORD IS NOT HELPING TO SOLVE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE, WITHOUT MAJOR COSTS. IVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO AN ESTABLISHED AUTO TRANSMISSION BUSINESS AND THEY DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE WILL NEED A FULL TRANSMISSION REBUILD OR REPLACEMENT. THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT IS ON AND THE DIAGNOSIS CODE IS INDICATING 'TRANSMISSION ISSUE' ONLY. PHOTOS ARE ATTACHED.

VEHICLE ALSO DOES THESE THINGS MOST OF THE TIME : JERKING HESITATION WHILE CHANGING GEARS, PREMATURE INTERNAL WEAR, DELAYS IN DOWNSHIFTING AND, IN SOME CASES, SUDDEN OR DELAYED ACCELERATION. VEHICLE ACTUALLY SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR YESTERDAY INTO ANOTHER PARKED VEHICLE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME IT'S THE WAY I DRIVE IT. HAD MECHANIC DRIVE IT AROUND PARKING LOT W ME AND TOLD ME THERE'S NO PROBLEM W IT!!

TAKATA RECALL THE CAR HAS A REALLY ROUGH IDDLE, STALLS AT RANDOM AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON FOR DIFFERENT REASONS EVERY TIME I HAVE REPLACED THE 02 FILLTER TWICE AND IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 5 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH I HAD READ REPORTS THAT OTHER FORD FOCUS CARS HAD SIMMILAR PROBLEMS AND REPLACING THE PURGE IDDLE VALVE HAD SOLVED THEM, BUT AT THE MOMENT FORD IS ONLY ACKNOWLEDGING FOCUSES FROM ONE PATICULAR PLANT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO A MECHANIC AND A SENSOR WAS REPLACED, WHICH ALSO FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE MECHANIC TWO MORE TIMES FOR REPAIRS, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED BOTH TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000. *TT*JB
TAMARA RECALL. MY FUEL PUMP IS GONE (NO LONGER WORKING) AND MY FORD FOCUS HAS JUST REACHED 61000/MILES. THE CAR STALLS WHEN DRIVING AND CUTS OUT IN TRAFFIC, A SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS ISSUE. ON 8/18/19 MY DAUGHTERS CAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME CAR WAS NOT SHIFTING RIGHT HAD THE CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP THEY REPLACED ONE OF THE CLUTCHES ONLY TO HAVE THE OTHER GO TWO DAYS LATER THIS TIME THE CAR WOULD NOT START BACK UP THE CAR ONLY HAS 9 THOUSAND MILES. UPON CHECKING MORE INTO THE CAR THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED BEFORE.
ON 8/18/19 SENT FROM YAHOO MAIL ON ANDROID ----- FORWARDED MESSAGE ----- FROM: "[XXX] TO: [XXX] SENT: MON, AUG 19, 2019 AT 10:58 AM SUBJECT: VIN #[XXX] TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, YESTERDAY I WAS DRIVING ON HWY 17 IN WASHINGTON STATE AND THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES OF MY 2016 FORD FOCUS ALMOST COST ME MY LIFE. HWY 17 IS A 60 MPH, TWO LANE HIGHWAY SURROUNDED BY FARMLAND. WHILE DRIVING ON THAT HIGHWAY, I MANEUVERED TO PASS A SEMI-TRUCK THAT WAS TRAVELLING AT 50MPH. THERE WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH DISTANCE FROM ON-COMING TRAFFIC TO PASS SAFELY; WELL, THAT IS IF AS I PULLED ALONGSIDE THE SEMI-TRUCK I HADN'T LOST ALL POWER EVEN THOUGH I WAS PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR. THE RPM'S WENT UP TO "THE RED" 7-8, I STARTED LOSING SPEED AND PACING BESIDE THE SEMI- TRUCK. I COULD HOPE MY ACCELERATION ABILITY CAME BACK, OR I WAS GOING TO TRY TO BRAKE AND GO BACK WHEN I SAW ANOTHER CAR BEHIND ME IN THE PASSING LANE, MAKING ME A SITTING DUCK. FOR A FEW SECONDS OF PANIC, I CONSIDERED MY OPTIONS- MOSTLY TO GO OFF IN THE DITCH TO THE LEFT. LUCKILY, THE ACCELERATION CAME BACK AFTER THE NEEDLE ON THE RPM'S WENT HAYWIRE AND I SLOWLY WAS ABLE TO GET IN FRONT OF THE SEMI-TRUCK BEFORE ONCOMING TRAFFIC HIT ME. THE CAR BEHIND ME SPED PAST ME AS I GOT OVER, WITH A LOOK THAT I INTERPRETED AS HE THOUGHT I WAS TRYING TO KILL HIM. AT 47K MILES THE FIRST TRANSMISSION FAULTS BEGAN TO APPEAR. I HAVE ATTACHED COPIES OF THE FORD SERVICES AND TICKETS OPENED DUE TO THE MULTIPLE, ONGOING PROBLEMS. I AM NOT PART OF THE CLASS LEGAL ACTION FOR THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES OF 11-16 FOCUS AND FIESTAS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HALL FORD ELIZABETH CITY (1310 N ROAD ST, ELIZABETH CITY, NC 27909, (877) 475-0723) FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF AN UNKNOWN RECALL REGARDING THE EVAP PURGE VALVE. THE DEALER REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM IN JANUARY OF 2019, BUT THE RECALL WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER INITIALLY DENIED THE CLAIM AND WAS INVESTIGATING TO SEE IF THEY COULD ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR COSTS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE BEING DRIVEN. P1450 CODE PURGE VALVE
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and while accelerating from a stop, the vehicle hesitated and shuddered abnormally. Additionally, on several occasions the vehicle would not immediately start. The vehicle also failed to reverse as needed. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission clutch assembly was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact stated that the transmission was previously replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The failure mileage was 20,000.
WAS DRIVING TO WORK WHEN MY CAR CUT OFF ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET.I HAD AT LEAST 20 MILES TO EMPTY AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT MY CAR SAID. I HAD IT PUSHED IT TO THE GAS STATION AND PUT 10 DOLLARS IN IT IT CRUNK UP BUT IT SAID 0 MILES TO EMPTY I PUT ANOTHER 5 TOTALING 15 BEFORE IT REGISTERED AFTER I TURNED THE CAR OFF TO SEE IF IT WOULD RESET. WHEN IT FIRST CUT OFF AND I TRIED TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL IT WOULD NOT GO IN NEUTRAL. I TURNED IT TO ON AND PUSHED THE BRAKE AND IT WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES IT HAS CUT OFF ON ME ONCE BEFORE WHILE I WAS HEADED TO THE GAS STATION AND EVEN THEN IT SAID 12 MILES TO EMPTY AND I WAS LESS THAN 2 FROM THE GAS STATION.
THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SHUDDER AND JERK WHILE IT WAS IN MOTION ONLY TWO MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS A BAD CLUTCH IN AN AUTOMATIC VEHICLE.

ALSO, THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES FILLED UP WITH WATER AND WERE REPLACED. THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED BY METRO FORD (9000 NW 7TH AVE, MIAMI, FL 33150, (305) 751-9711) EACH TIME UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS2209312, BUT NO RESOLUTION WAS PROVIDED. THE CONTACT REACHED OUT TO THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE FOR LEMON LAW ADVICE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,500.
CAR STALLED ON A SUNDAY WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED AT MY OWN EXPENSE OVER 80 MILES TO MY HOME. THE NEXT DAY ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE IT TO DEALERSHIP WHEN IT STALLED AGAIN WHILE AT 40MPH. HAD SAMARITAN ASSISTANCE TO PUSH IT OUT OF THE ROAD AND HAD TO PUSH IT TO THE NEAREST LOT IN THE RAIN AS THE STREET HAD NO SHOULDER. THAT LOT HAPPENED TO HOUSE A REPAIR SHOP. REPAIR SHOP DETERMINED ISSUE WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND CALLED FORD TO CONFIRM HOWEVER FORD DENIED. WHEN I CALLED AND SPOKE TO A DIFFERENT SERVICE REP WAS TOLD THE ISSUE IS ACTUALLY UNDER RECALL (BUT ALSO WARRANTY) BUT ONLY FORD CAN PROVIDE RECALL REMEDY WITHOUT INCURRING CHARGES SO I COULD BRING IT TO FORD TO HAVE IT COMPLETED. WHEN I INQUIRED ABOUT A LOANER VEHICLE WAS GIVEN 1800 NUMBER TO FORD CARE. I CALLED 3 OTHER FORD DEALERSHIPS TO ASK THEIR WAITING PERIOD FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND FOUND ONE THAT STATED BY THE END OF THE WEEK (TODAY IS TUESDAY). I ULTIMATELY HAD MY VEHICLE TOWED TO THAT LOCATION. ONCE OFF THE SHUTTLE AND BACK HOME, I CONTACTED FORD CARE AND WAS REFERRED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP REGARDING A LOANER VEHICLE AND EVEN REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE TOW CHARGES I INCURRED. I AM WITHOUT A VEHICLE UNTIL REPAIRS CAN BE COMPLETED WITH 3 TOW CHARGES ON MY BANK ACCOUNT.

THE VEHICLE STALLED DURING A LEFT TURN INTO THE RIGHT LANE OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND WAS HIT AS A RESULT. THE VEHICLE WAS DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO FORD PREVIOUSLY DUE TO CONCERNS OF STALLING/SLUGGISH ACCELERATION AT WHICH TIME THE DEALER DISCLOSED AN ISSUE WAS KNOWN THAT WAS MOST LIKELY THE CAUSE. THE DEALERSHIP KEPT THE CAR AND PERFORMED REPAIRS. THE ACCELERATION SEEMED A LITTLE BETTER BUT STILL NOT RIGHT BASED ON DECADES OF DRIVING EXPERIENCE. I THINK THE CPV ISSUE (18S32/18V-735) MAY HAVE CAUSED THE CAR TO STALL AND BE HIT WHEN IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN HIT OTHERWISE.

CAR ALSO HAS A ROUGH IDLE WHICH HAS RESULTED IN THE MOTOR MOUNT BEING REPLACED. CAR IS LOW MILEAGE AND A 2016. AFTER OWNING THE CAR FOR LESS THAN A MONTH THE CAR NEEDED TO HAVE ITS CLUTCH REPLACED. FORD AGAIN PROMISED THIS WAS A NEW PART AND WOULD FIX THE ISSUE PERMANENTLY. LESS THAN A YEAR LATER AND I AM HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE.

IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT, AT PRESENT, THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT SHUDDERING ENOUGH TO WARRANT A REPAIR UNDER THE TERMS OF MY WARRANTEE, HOWEVER I BELIEVE THAT IS DUE TO MY CONTINUAL ADJUSTMENT TO DRIVING STYLE TO ACCOMMODATE THIS UNSAFE SITUATION. I DON'T BELIEVE IT'S PRUDENT FOR ME TO EXACERBATE THE SITUATION AT THE RISK OF MY FAMILY'S SAFETY IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR REPAIR AT THE MANUFACTURER'S EXPENSE. TO ME, IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE SOFTWARE IS ATTEMPTING TO DECIDE AND ACTUATE A DESIRED GEAR RATIO, BUT DOING SO IN A TIMEFRAME THAT IS FAR LONGER THAN WHAT IT WOULD TAKE ME TO DO SO IN A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. ADDITIONALLY, SOME ENGAGEMENT MECHANISM OR PROGRAM FREQUENTLY MISJUDGES THE ENGAGEMENT OF THE CLUTCH, RESULTING IN MECHANICAL ABNORMALITY RANGING FROM A FLUTTER TO A SHUDDER TO A LOUD AND FORCEFUL KNOCKING AS IT ATTEMPTS TO ENGAGE. THE ODD BEHAVIOR IS MOST PRONOUNCED WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN FIRST, SECOND, OR THIRD GEAR. OCCASIONAL BUT VERY ALARMING DISENGAGEMENT OF THE CLUTCH CAN OCCUR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. TURNING CAN SEEM TO EXACERBATE THE PROBLEM.
JANUARY 2019 HAD TRANSMISSION CLUTCH REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY JULY 2019 TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AGAIN ON MAJOR HIGHWAY, REPLACED TANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND CLUTCH MOTOR, CAR HAS BEEN IN SERVICE FOR 8 DAYS STILL NOT REPAIRED. CAR WAS STATIONARY AT A RED LIGHT, WENT TO ACCELERATE, REVVED LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL, THEN HOT TRANSMISSION ERROR, AND AFTER REPEATEDLY PUTTING IT IN PARK AND DRIVE, IT DROVE FOR 10 SECONDS AND WAS ABLE TO GET FARTHER TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD TO WAIT FOR TOW TRUCK. HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC AND CROSS TRAFFIC AT INTERSECTION EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS, VERY LUCKY NOT TO HAVE BEEN IN A MAJOR ACCIDENT.

FORD REFUSED TO CONFIRM ANYTHING AND SAID THAT I NEEDED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER TO DO ANYTHING. THE FACT THAT THEY HID A DEADLINE FOR REPAIR COVERAGE FOR A KNOWN ISSUE AND THAT THE PUBLIC WAS ONLY MADE AWARE WHEN THAT INFORMATION WAS LEAKED AND REPORTED ONE DAY BEFORE ITS EXPIRATION IS INCREDIBLY ANTI-CONSUMER AND DANGEROUS. THERE CAN BE NO REASONABLE EXPECTATION THAT ANYONE WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE A PROBLEM DIAGNOSED AND FIXED IN ONE DAY AT A DEALER, AND FORD IS CLEARLY ACTING IN BAD FAITH.

EVEN FELT LIKE THE VEHICLE MIGHT OF BEEN SLOWING DOWN.
