BOUGHT A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE IN MARCH 2011 AND STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS SHORTLY AFTER. WAS TOLD IT HAS CVT AND IT ACTS UP SOMETIMES. MY PROBLEMS ARE LUNGING, ROUGH IDLE, ENGINE DYING. HAVE BEEN JUST DEALING WITH IT AND USING RECOMMENDED FUEL AND OCCASIONAL INJECTOR CLEANER. THIS WEEKEND( JAN 8 2012) I WENT TO CHANGE AIR FILTER, CHECK TIRE PRESSURE, ETC. I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS IN THE MANUAL TO RESET THE IDLE TRIM AND NOW THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE AT ALL. IT WILL IDLE WITH NO A/C, BUT THE GAS PEDAL DOES NOTHIN. WHEN YOU TURN A/C ON IT DIES. WE HAVE NOT HIT ANYONE OR ANYTHING, BUT HAVE COME CLOSE ONCE OR TWICE. WE DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE ANTICIPATION THAT ITS GONNA MOVE WITHOUT WARNING. ANY ASSISTANCE WILL BE APPRECIATED. *TR
UNEXPECTED LUNGING FORWARD OR REVERSE AT LOW SPEEDS, WITH BRAKES APPLIED. *TR
ON 07/21/2007, I PURCHASED A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE WHICH WAS USED AS A DEMO. RECENTLY AT 50,500 MILES I HAVE BEEN HEARING A LIGHT THUMPING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE AREA WHILE IDLING. PER MY VISIT OF MID JUNE 2011 TO THE DEALER SERVICE AREA, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE ONLY REQUIRED A TRANSMISSION SENSOR TO BE REPLACED. SINCE THE LAST VISIT, I HAVE CONTACTED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TWICE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE SENSOR IS ON BACK ORDER. I COULD HEAR THAT HESITATION IN THEIR VOICE LIKE AS IF THEY ARE KEEPING SOMETHING FROM ME. I DON'T LIKE THIS. THE VEHICLE ALSO LUNGES UNEXPECTEDLY AND THIS IS OF GREAT CONCERN TO ME. I AM JUST GLAD THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND. I HAVE JUST BEEN VERY LUCKY. IN REGARDS TO THE NOISE, I AM SPECULATING A FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSION. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE ON MAY 05 2011 AND STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITHIN THE SECOND MONTH OF HAVING THE CAR BUT I ALSO HEARD A LOUD NOISE WHEN YOU TURN THE WHEEL SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT, AND I TOLD THE FINANCE PERSON AND HE SAID OK WE'LL TAKE CARE OF THAT AND THEY NEVER DID. THEN NOW WE ARE IN THE THIRD MONTH OF HAVING THIS VEHICLE, AND NOW IT CUTS OFF RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ME BACKING UP AND THE AC ON AND I WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART AGAIN. THEN THE CAR ACTS AS THOUGH ITS REVVING UP AND YOU COULD BE AT A STOP LIGHT AND IT WILL REV UP AND YOU WOULD HAVE TO REALLY PLACE YOUR FOOT HARD ON THE BRAKE TO KEEP IT FROM HITTING ANOTHER CAR IN FRONT OF YOU. TOOK THE CAR SEVERAL TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE FIRST TIME THEY DID NOT KNOW. THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK UP AND SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING. THE LAST TIME THEY TELL ME ITS THE THROTTLE BODY AND THEN THE GENTLEMAN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT'S BEEN A BIG PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS SINCE THEY HAVE CAME OUT. SO THIS COMPANY KNOWS THEY ARE SELLING LEMONS TO PEOPLE AND THEY DON'T EVEN CARE. *KB
WHILE HOLDING BRAKE AND SHIFTING TO DRIVE OR REVERSE THE RPM'S INCREASE CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LUNGE, ALMOST HIT A MAN IN A PARKING LOT,HAVE CAME CLOSE TO CAR'S ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. WAS HAPPENING OCCASIONALLY BUT NOW IT'S EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE THE VEHICLE. ALSO THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER DURING ACCELERATION,THEN THE WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON. YOU HAVE TO STOP AND TURN THE ENGINE OFF. THEN RESTART ENGINE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD EXHIBIT RECURRING UNINTENDED ACCELERATION FAILURES. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS RUNNING AND WHEN THE CONTACT WAS SLOWING DECELERATING TO ATTEMPT A TURN. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. PURCHASED 2007 FORD FREESTYLE IN NOV. 2007. BEGAN TO HEAR NOISES WHEN BRAKING IN 2009. THE FIRST TIME WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER (FULLER FORD CHULA VISTA) WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. NOTHING WAS DONE. AT ABOUT 16,000 MILES WE TOOK IT IN AGAIN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. WE WERE TOLD THERE WERE WARPED ROTORS, FROZEN CALIPER, AND COMPLETELY WORN PADS. DURING SAFETY INSPECTION AT 27,000 MILES IT WAS NOTED THAT REAR PADS WERE COMPLETELY WORN AND ROTORS NEEDED RESURFACING. FORD IS CHARGING $265 FOR RESURFACING AND PADS FOR A PROBLEM THAT HAS OCCURRED TWICE IN 2 YEARS AND REFUSES TO RECOGNIZE THIS AS DEFECT OR DESIGN PROBLEM. IN ADDITION, WE ARE HAVING TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AT 27,000 MILES. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE AND I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR SURGING FORWARD AND BACKWARDS WHEN I TRY TO PARK AND BACKUP. THIS ALSO OCCURS AT STOPLIGHTS AND SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL CUT OFF. EVEN WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES THE CAR STILL TRYS TO SURGE. ITS LIKE IT ACCELERATES ALL ON ITS OWN AND AT TIMES IT HAS EVEN BEEN HARD TO STOP THE CAR DUE TO ISSUE. IT WAS ONLY HAPPENING OCCASIONALLY BUT NOW ITS HAPPENS QUITE A FEW TIMES A WEEK. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS CAR DUE TO THIS PROBLEM..
2007 FORD FREESTYLE SURGES UP TO 2000 RPM WHEN SLOWLY TURNING INTO A PARKING SPACE, DRIVEWAY, ETC. BRAKES HAVE TO BE FORCEFULLY APPLIED TO AVOID THE VEHICLE SURGING FORWARD AND HITTING SOMETHING OR SOMEONE. *TR
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A USED 2007 FORD FREESTYLE FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP. AFTER OWNING THE CAR FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS, I WAS SITTING IN A DRIVE-THRU LINE WHEN I NOTICED MY CAR STARTED SURGING FORWARD WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. I BECAME CONCERNED THAT I MIGHT HIT THE CAR AHEAD OF ME SO I GOT OUT OF LINE AND PARKED THE CAR. AFTER SOME DOWN TIME I WAS ABLE TO RE-START THE CAR AND FOR THAT NIGHT HAD NO OTHER PROBLEMS. NOW OVER THE LAST MONTH I HAVE NOTICED THE SURGING MORE AND MORE OFTEN AND AM CONCERNED I WILL BE IN A SITUATION WHERE I CAN'T JUST GET OUT OF LINE AND SOME DAMAGE WILL HAPPEN OR INJURY. I HAVE FOUND BY RESEARCHING ON-LINE THAT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE FORD FREESTYLE AND I WOULD JUST LIKE TO REPORT THAT I FEEL CONTINUED DRIVING OF THIS VEHICLE MAY BE DANGEROUS BUT, IT IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I HAVE TO DRIVE AND HAVE NO OTHER CHOICES. *KB
THE CAR STALLS OUT AND I GET THE WRENCH ON MY DASHBOARD. THE CAR WILL RESTART AFTER A FEW MINUTES AND RUNS FINE AT THAT POINT. THIS APPARENTLY MEANS THAT THERE IS A POWERTRAIN FAULT DETECTED. WHEN THE DIAGNOSTICS WERE RAN THEY PULLED THE CODE U0401 AND THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THERE WERE ALOT OF FREESTYLES AND MERCURY'S WITH THIS CODE AND THAT IT WOULD BE $280.00 TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. *TR
ON THE DATE SHOWN, WHILE DRIVING IN A FUNERAL PROCESSION AND ENTERING THE CEMETERY MY VEHICLE STARTED TO LURCH, LUNGE AND BUCKING. TRIED TO GIVE IT GAS BUT DIDN'T RESPOND. I THEN SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND WHEN I STARTED UPON LEAVING THE CEMETERY THE VEHICLE STARTED THIS AGAIN. I DROVE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MAINTENANCE PERSON TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS BEING CAUSED BY A SENSOR AND THAT I COULD SHUT THE VEHICLE DOWN AND RESTART AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THIS SEEMED TO WORK FOR A WHILE THEN THE SAME PROBLEMS KEPT OCCURRING. THIS WAS MENTIONED A NUMBER OF TIMES TO THE DEALER WITH THE SAME EXPLANATION. I THINK THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS NOW CREATED ANOTHER IN THE THE TRANSMISSION ON THE VEHICLE IS GONE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD LUNGE FORWARD OR ENGAGE IN REVERSE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. VEHICLE SURGES WITHOUT DRIVER'S FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR. ENGINE REVS AND VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD UNTIL BRAKES APPLIED AT WHICH TIME ENGINE MAY DIE. A WARNING LIGHT MAY OR MAY NOT ILLUMINATE ON THE DASHBOARD AS A "WRENCH" SYMBOL. WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE WARNING LIGHT DESIGNATED BY A "WRENCH" SYMBOL GOES OUT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING FROM A RESIDENTIAL DRIVEWAY, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITH THE BRAKES DEPRESSED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ALSO ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED TO REPORT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 32,878.
I HAVE A FORD FREESTYLE AND PERIODICALLY IT LURCHES FORWARD WHEN MY FOOT IS NOT ON THE GAS AND AT TIMES EVEN WHEN MY FOOT IS ON THE BRAKE. THE LURCHING HAPPENS WITH INCREASING FREQUENCY DEPENDING ON HOW LONG I AM DRIVING THE CAR --THE WARMER THE WEATHER AND THE LONGER I DRIVE THE MORE IT LURCHES. I HAVE REQUESTED THE DEALER LOOK AT THIS ISSUE AND THEY HAVE DECLINED TO DO SO FREE OF CHARGE. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM, NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. *TR

THE ENGINE WOULD EXHIBIT AND INCREASE IN RPMS OF UP TO 5,000 WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WOULD ALSO STALL ON OCCASION. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED REPLACING, WHICH WAS IN THE PROCESS OF REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 54,300.
I HAVE A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE WHICH IS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH SUDDENLY LURCHING FORWARD WHEN STOPPING. IF I TURN THE CAR OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN THE PROBLEM DISAPPEARS. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE BECAUSE I KNOW I'M NOT ALONE AND IT IS A SERIOUS ISSUE (I BARELY AVOIDED RUNNING INTO SOMEONE AT A DRIVE THROUGH BECAUSE OF THIS). THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED WHEN SIMPLY TAKING MY FOOT OFF THE BREAKS AND NOT EVEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. *TR

WHEN ACCELERATING FROM THE STOP, THERE WAS A DELAYED RESPONSE AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LUNGED FORWARD. THE SIMILAR FAILURE RECURRED FOUR TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. SURGING AND LURCHING FORWARD WHILE PARKING OR SLOWING DOWN. I ALMOST HIT ANOTHER CAR AND A PERSON ON THE SIDE WALK. TWO DIFFERENT INCIDENTS. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES AND BECOMES MORE FREQUENT AND POWERFUL EACH TIME. THE WRENCH LIGHT HAS COME ON THE DASH BOARD NOW. 2007 FORD FREESTYLE. *KB
I WAS GOING THROUGH A DRIVE THROUGH AND MY FREESTYLE LUNGED FORWARD SEVERAL FEET BEFORE I HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE THEN SHUT OFF AND ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE DASH CAME ON. I DID HAVE THE AIR CONDITIONING ON REALLY HIGH BECAUSE IT WAS 95 DEGREES IN ST. LOUIS TODAY. MY VEHICLE STARTED LUNGING A FEW MONTHS AGO AND IT HAS DONE IT 6 MORE TIMES TODAY SINCE THE WORST EPISODE, BUT THE VEHICLE HAS NOT SHUT OFF AGAIN SINCE I WAS IN THE DRIVE THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IF A CAR OR PERSON HAD BEEN IN FRONT OF ME I WOULD HAVE HIT THEM VERY FORCEFULLY. THE PROBLEM HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE MAKING A TURN EITHER TO THE LEFT OR TO THE RIGHT, SHE HEARD A CLICKING SOUND IN THE FRONT WHEELS. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE FAILURE COULD BE CAUSED BY THE CV JOINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN, BUT THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,699.
I PURCHASED MY 2007 FF DEC OF 2010. THREE MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE, I NOTICED MILD ACCELERATION SOMETIMES WITHOUT APPLYING MY FOOT TO THE PEDAL. IT BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE BY MID JUNE. SO MUCH SO THAT I CONTACTED DRIVETIME WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR & THEY GAVE ME SOME TRANSMISSION SHOP TO TAKE IT TO, ONLY BE TOLD THAT IT WAS NORMAL FOR THAT PARTICULAR TRANSMISSION. WELL, BY 2012, THE UNINITIATED ACCELERATION HAS BECOME SO BAD THAT A FEW MONTHS AGO MY CAR ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN & RAN SLAM INTO THE BACK OF A LADY'S CAR CAUSING MORE THAN $2000 WORTH OF DAMAGE. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO POLICE THAT MY CAR ACCELERATED ABRUPTLY WITHOUT ME DOING ANYTHING BUT SLIGHTLY LIFTING MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE (NEVER TOUCHING THE GAS). HE DIDN'T GIVE ME A TICKET BUT SAID IT WAS STILL MY FAULT. MY KIDS CALL THE CAR A TRANSFORMER BUT IT IS THE WORSE TRYING TO KEEP IT FROM PLUNGING FORWARD OR BACKWARD & HITTING SOMETHING OR SOMEONE! I HAVE TO MAKE ABSOLUTE SURE NO ONE IS AROUND WHEN I AM IN SHOPPING LOTS BECAUSE I AM AFRAID WHEN THE CAR TAKES OFF BACKWARDS FROM PARKING SPACES. I USUALLY HAVE TO SLAM ON BRAKES BUT THEN THE CAR SHUTS OFF &ON COMES THE ENGINE LIGHT. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH THE FORD FREESTYLE!!! *TR
SEVERAL TIMES MY VEHICLE SURGES FORWARD WHEN MOVING AT SLOW SPEEDS OR BRAKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING FORWARD AND REVERSE. MORE NOTICEABLE WHEN THE A/C IS ON. EVEN WHEN MY FOOT IS ON THE BRAKE - THE CAR ACCELERATES ON IT'S OWN AND LUNGES FORWARD. I CAN HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING WHEN THIS IS HAPPENING - EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT IS ON THE BRAKE.
WITH MY FREESTYLE THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION OR THROTTLE CONTROL. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I REVERSE OR GO FORWARD FROM EITHER A PARKED POSITION OR FROM A STOPPED POSITION THAT THE CAR WILL LUNGE. I HAVE TO APPLY THE BRAKES SOMETIMES TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER AUTO. WHEN I DO THIS SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL STALL AND THE "WRENCH" LIGHT WILL SHOW UP ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I HAVE ALSO HAD IT NOT GO INTO GEAR, IT WILL LUNGE AND THEN WHEN I APPLY THE GAS THE CAR WILL NOT SHIFT INTO THE NEXT GEAR. THE RPMS WILL GO UP BUT EVEN WITH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR IT WILL NOT ENGAGE. I HAVE TAKEN TO THE CAR TO WHERE I HAVE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THEY ARE STATING THAT THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT WITHOUT THE LIGHT ON THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN AND YOU ALWAYS NEED TO BE PREPARED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND THIS CAN RESULT IN A STALLED VEHICLE WHICH IN TURN COULD BE STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE CAUSING BODILY INJURY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD FREESTYLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD SURGE FORWARD WHILE IN DRIVE AND BACKWARD WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE WHILE TRAVELING AT LOW SPEEDS. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED BUT THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. NO REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 84,100 AND THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND A PROBLEM. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONSUMER TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK WHEN SHE EXPERIENCED THE SURGING AGAIN. UPDATED 09/07/11

OUR PROBLEMS WITH OUR 07 FORD FREESTYLE STARTED OCCURRING ABOUT A MONTH AGO. I STARTED TO NOTICE THAT WHEN I WENT TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC, MY CAR SORT OF STUTTERED, THEN TOOK OFF. IT HAS DONE THAT SEVERAL TIMES NOW WHERE IT IS CRUCIAL TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY, AND I HAVE BEEN SO AFRAID OF GETTING HIT BECAUSE OF IT. IT IS LIKE PUSHING ON THE GAS AND NOT REALLY GETTING MUCH OF A RESPONSE WHERE THERE SHOULD BE. SO THE MOST RECENT INCIDENCE OCCURRED WHEN I WAS LEAVING THE STORE WITH A FRIEND AND MY CHILDREN. I PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE TO EXIT MY PARKING SPOT, AND MY CAR TOOK OFF AGGRESSIVELY. I HAD TO KEEP APPLYING THE BREAK TO KEEP FROM HITTING ANYONE OR OTHER CARS. SOMETIMES IT WOULD OCCUR DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, ENDANGERING MY LIFE AND THE LIVES OF OTHER MOTORISTS. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE TECH'S SUGGESTED REPLACING VARIOUS COMPONENTS OF THE CAR A/C SYSTEM AND OTHER RELATED COMPONENTS. NO SUCCESSFUL RESOLUTION WAS EVER REACHED WITH THE DEALERSHIP, EVEN AFTER THE SUGGESTED REPAIRS WERE MADE. I CONTINUED TO HAVE SURGING ISSUES, MAKING THE CAR UNSAFE. IN JANUARY 2013, I TOOK THE CAR TO A REPUTABLE MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE CAR WITH TRANSMISSION FAILURE, SPECIFICALLY THE INPUT SHAFT. I BELIEVE THAT THE SURGING ISSUE RELATED TO THE SUBSEQUENT TRANSMISSION FAILURE. NOT ONLY IS MY CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO THE SURGING ISSUE, BUT NOW IS COMPLETELY UNDRIVEABLE DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. I WAS MADE AWARE IN JANUARY 2013 THAT FORD ISSUED A TSB IN DECEMBER 2012 RELATING TO THE SURGING ISSUE AND RECOMMENDED A FIX THAT WOULD COMPLETELY RESOLVE THE ISSUE. BUT I BELIEVE THIS TSB CAME WAY TOO LATE. THE SURGING DAMAGED THE TRANSMISSION AND THUS CREATED A PROBLEM WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION THAT WASN'T THERE BEFORE. FORD TOOK STEPS TO SOLVE A PROBLEM THAT MADE THEIR CARS UNSAFE. NOW THEY NEED TO COME FORWARD AND FURTHER ADDRESS THE ISSUE THAT THE SURGING NOT ONLY MADE THE CAR UNSAFE, BUT DAMAGED THE CAR AND THEN SUBMIT MEASURES TO RESOLVE THE ISSUES OF DAMAGED TRANSMISSIONS. *TR
