THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED BY A LOCAL DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.
TAMARA RECALL MY FRUSTRATION IS I WANT TO SELL MY CAR, BUT DO NOT WANT TO SELL WITH A RECALL ISSUE. I'VE CONTACTED FORD TWICE. FORD ASSURED ME THEY WOULD HAVE AN AIRBAG FOR ME AT HILYEAR FORD IN WOODBURN OREGON BY THE END OF OCTOBER. I CALLED EARLY NOVEMBER TO ESSENTIALLY BE TOLD TOUGH LUCK, WE'LL LET YOU KNOW. I HAD CALLED TWO DEALERSHIPS, PASCO WASHINGTON AND WOODBURN OREGON. WE'VE RECENTLY MOVED TO WOODBURN. NO HELP. BASICALLY I FEEL LIKE I'M STUCK WITH A CAR THAT I CAN'T SELL. (WE HAVE THREE CARS, CUTTING TO TWO AFTER RETIREMENT). THE ORIGINAL RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT IN MAY, BUT THERE APPEARS TO BE NO EFFORT BY FORD TO ACTUALLY RESOLVE. I JUST WISH THEY COULD GIVE A DATE THEY CAN ACTUALLY COMPETE THE REPAIR SO WE CAN PLAN. IF I'D KNOWN THIS LAST MAY, I WOULD HAVE JUST DROPPED THE INSURANCE AND PARKED MY CAR. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V904000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SMART JUNCTION BOX FAILED TO FUNCTION CAUSING THE BATTERY AND ALL OF THE TURN SIGNAL FUNCTIONS TO FAIL. A DEALER HAD NOT DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE BUT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE SMART JUNCTION BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, PROVIDED NO SOLUTION, AND INDICATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED IF THE PART WAS REPLACED THAT THE FAILURE WOULD CONTINUE. TAKATA RECALL - I'VE CALLED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER (SPRADLEY BARR FORD) TWICE NOW REGARDING AN AIRBAG RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE AND BOTH TIMES THE HAVE SAID THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AND TO CHECK BACK IN ANOTHER MONTH OR SO. WHY HAVE A RECALL IF I CAN'T ACTUALLY GET MY VEHICLE TAKEN CARE OF, ISN'T THIS A SAFETY HAZARD?
CALLED DEALERSHIP ABOUT GETTING REPLACEMENT AIR BAG INSTALLED BECAUSE OF THE RECALL LETTER I RECEIVED. SAID I NEEDED TO WAIT UNTIL THAT GROUPING OF VEHICLES WERE TO BE SERVICED. I'VE BEEN WAITING OVER 6 MONTHS -- AND STILL NOTHING. IF THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE BECAUSE OF FAULTY AIRBAG, WHY DON'T THEY EXPEDITE THE SERVICE AND REPLACEMENT?
AIRBAG RECALL LETTER RECEIVED IN JUNE 2016, AGAIN MORE RECENTLY, AND STILL NO FOLLOW UP AS TO ACTUAL REPLACEMENT OF FAULTY PARTS. NO ISSUE WITH THE AIR BAG NOTED, BUT NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING AROUND WITH A PART KNOWN TO PERFORM DANGEROUSLY WHEN IT SHOULD BE PROTECTING THE DRIVER.
TAKATA INFLATORS - NOTIFIED OF RECALL IN 2016 AND STILL REPLACEMENT PART IS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL STILL WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT FOR THE AIRBAG. EVERY TIME I CALL THE DEALER, THEY SAY NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. WAS SENT A NOTICE FROM FORD SAYING NOT TO LET ANYONE RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE ONLY REASON WE STILL HAVE THIS VEHICLE IS TO GET MY 97 YEAR OLD MOTHER TO AND FROM THE DOCTOR. THAT IS THE ONLY SEAT WE CAN GET HER IN AND OUT OF. THERE IS NO SOLUTION. WE NEED THE AIRBAG REPLACED AND HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE BEFORE MY FATHER PASSED LAST YEAR.

THE PASSENGER AIRBAG INDICATOR CAME ON ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO, AND THE CAR WAS NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN OVER 4 YEARS. THE FORD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES SAID THE AIRBAG IS INTACTED WITH NO HAZARDS, AND THE AIRBAG SENSOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE CAR WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT, AND THERE ARE NO DENTS ON EITHER OF THE PASSENGER DOORS. WHILE SITTING IN MOTIONLESS CAR, NOTICED THE DASH BOARD AIRBAG INDICATOR WAS ELUMINATED, AND I WAS PARKED IN THE WORK PARKING LOT ON COMMERCIAL BLVD, BEHIND WORK AT 401 BROADWAY NE 87103. I TOOK THE CAR TO POWER FORD ON 1101 MONTANO RD NE, ALBUQUERQUE NM 87107, ON WEDNESDAY JANUARY 24, 2018, WHERE THEY ARE WAITING ON THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR TO COME IN. A DIAGNOSTICS WAS COMPLETED TO VERIFY THE CONDITION OF THE CAR.

THIS DEFECT REPORT IS IN RESPONSE TO TAKATA DIRS 16E-042, 16E-043, 16E-044. REMEDY OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MAIL AND INSTRUCTED TO TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO A FORD OR LINCOLN DEALER TO HAVE THEIR PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR REPLACED. THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE.
WHEN WILL THERE BE A FIX FOR THE AIR BAGS?
TAKATA RECALL: ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD. NO REMEDY TO DATE AND CALLS TO THE LOCAL DEALER ARE NOT FRUITFUL. YESTERDAY I GOT A SAFETY RECALL THAT SAID "REMEDY PARTS" WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN SPRING 2018 AND UNTIL THEN I SHOULD NOT USE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. NOW THE CAR IS LESS USABLE FOR MY FAMILY AND IT CANNOT BE SOLD. I EXPECT A BETTER REMEDY THAN "DON'T USE OUR PRODUCT" UNTIL WE CAN REPAIR IT. I SUGGEST THAT EVERY OWNER AFFECTED SHOULD BE GIVEN A LOANER CAR UNTIL THEIR CAR IS REPAIRED AND SAFE TO USE. TOO MANY YEARS HAVE GONE BY. FORD IS JUST STONEWALLING THE PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TODAY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 238,000.
HAS THERE BEEN ANY COMPLAINTS ON THE DOOR HANDLES BREAKING? I JUST HAD TO HAVE THE DRIVERS REPLACED. IT BROKE WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE AND WOULD NOT LOCK. THE BACK SEAT HANDLES ARE ABOUT TO BREAK. NEED SOME FEEDBACK ON THIS. IT IS NOT CHEAP TO FIX THE HANDLES.
CALLED DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NO REMEDY AT THIS TIME TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. I WAS GIVEN NO OTHER INFORMATION THEN TO CONTACT FORD DIRECTLY AND COMPLAIN, ALSO TO DISREGARD THE DEADLINE ON THE RECALL CARD I RECEIVED.

CALLED BOB SIGHT FORD IN LEE'S SUMMIT, MO AND SPOKE WITH GLEN ABOUT THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG AND THEY STATED THAT THE AIRBAG COMPANY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS AND THAT THEY STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE AIR BAGS TO FIX THIS ISSUE. THEY TOLD ME I WOULD RECEIVE A LETTER IN THE MAIL OR PHONE CALL IF AND WHEN THOSE PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. NOT SURE IF THIS IS TRUE OR NOT JUST THOUGHT I'D PASS IT ALONG, THEY SAID THERES NOTHING THEY CAN DO AT THIS POINT.

TAKATA RECALL I WAS INFORMED BY MAIL OF THE AIR BAG INFLATOR RECALL IN MARCH 2017. AS OF NOVEMBER 22, 2017, REPLACEMENT PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP.
FORD GARAGE KEEPS TELLING ME FORD DOESN'T HAVE A FIX YET, VERY VERY RIDICULOUS I THINK
TAKATA RECALL: I CALLED THE CARUSO FORD DEALERSHIP, LOCATED AT 3500 CHERRY AVE., LONG BEACH, REGARDING THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. JOSE, AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, CONFIRMED THE RECALL, BUT SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT AN ESTIMATED TIME, HE SAID HE REFUSED TO GIVE ME THAT INFORMATION, AND ENDED THE CONVERSATION SAYING THAT FORD WAS GONNA SEND ME A LETTER WHEN THE PART WOULD ARRIVE. JOSE GAVE ME THE IMPRESSION THAT FORD IS REFUSING TO HELP.

TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS NOTICES FROM FORD CONCERNING THE POTENTIALLY DEADLY EFFECTS OF MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, YET IT HAS BEEN YEARS AND IT HAS STILL NOT BEEN REPLACED, PUTTING MY PASSENGERS IN DANGER EVERY TIME THEY RIDE IN MY CAR.

"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF A RECALL ON THE FRONTAL PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS INFORMED THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER 2017, I VISITED THE DEALERSHIP (LONG LEWIS FORD) IN BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA, AND WAS TOLD THIS IS STRICTLY AN ISSUE WITH TAKATA BANKRUPTCY AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. EVERYTHING I HAVE READ STATES TO CONTACT MY DEALERSHIP AND THE AIRBAG IS TO BE REPLACED FOR FREE. I DID AS INSTRUCTED AND THE DEALERSHIP IS NOT COMPLYING PUTTING ME AND MY FAMILY AT POSSIBLE RISK FOR SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

MONTHS AGO, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD NEED TO CALL BACK TO DETERMINE WHEN PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE A REASONABLE DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. TAKATA RECALL; I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE DATED JULY 2016, IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED ACADEMY FORD AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT IN AND I WOULD RECEIVE A NOTICE/LETTER WHEN THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I'D CHECK WITH THEM EVERY COUPLE MONTHS WITH THE LATEST BEING 10/17/17, AND STILL NO LUCK TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. I WAS GIVEN AN 800 NUMBER TO CALL "HEADQUARTERS", BUT THE GENTLEMAN ONLY SAID THAT THERE WAS MILLIONS OF CARS OUT THERE THAT NEED TAKEN CARE OF....I ASKED WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT THIS AND HE TOLD ME TO "DRIVE CAREFULLY". TODAY, 10/31/17, I GET THIS CARD IN THE MAIL STATING THAT TK HOLDINGS ARE FILING CHAPTER 11. DOES THIS MEAN THEY WILL NOT BE FIXING MY CAR'S PROBLEM? THIS HAS GONE ON FOR OVER A YEAR AND IT MAKES NO SENSE WHY THIS AIRBAG ISSUE ISN'T FIXED BY NOW. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ASSIST ME WITH THIS MATTER. I WILL BE CONTACTING SEVERAL DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS TO SEE IF I GET ANY HELP. I DON'T EVEN ALLOW ANYONE TO RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT DUE TO THIS PROBLEM.
