TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD MANY MONTHS AGO, AND HAVE STILL RECEIVED NO UPDATES FROM FORD. NOR HAS THE STATUS CHANGED ON THE NHTSA WEB SITE REGARDING GETTING THE PROBLEM RESOLVED. THIS, COMBINED WITH THE BRAKING PROBLEM I JUST REPORTED (FOR WHICH YOU HAVE AN OPEN INVESTIGATION) MAKES ME EXTREMELY WEARY ABOUT TRAVELING WITH MY CHILDREN IN MY VEHICLE.

TAKATA RECALL.... THIS IS OVER A YEAR AND NO FIX TO DATE..LAST WEEK WE NOTICED THAT THE AIRBAG WAS LIFTING FROM THE DASHBOARD.. OF COURSE FORD TOLD ME MAY NOT BE RELATED. I FEEL VERY NERVOUS TO DRIVE MY CAR BUT ALSO AM NOT GOING TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT EVENTURALLY WILL BE FIXED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT OFFICIALLY DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED FOR THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END CRASH. THE VEHICLE RECEIVED DAMAGE TO THE BUMPER AND RADIATOR. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY; HOWEVER, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER REGARDING THE CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE. COMING DOWN A HILL IT LURCHED FORWARD ALMOST SENDING MY WIFE AND I OFF A CLIFF. VERY DANGEROUS. ITS ALSO A COMMON PROBLEM IM FINDING WITH THE AWF21 TRANNSMISSIONS. SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. NUMEROUS REPORTS OF THESE TRANNYS FAILING OVER THE INTERNET WITH THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS. PLEASE HELP.
PER YOUR WEB SITE AND INVESTIGATION PE16017, MY 2007 FUSION IS EXHIBITING THESE EXACT SYMPTOMS REGARDING BRAKING DISTANCE. PLEASE BE ENSURED THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM THAT FORD SHOULD RECALL. IT IS FRIGHTENING. I HAD TO BRAKE HARD TO AVOID HITTING SOMEONE. FROM THAT POINT FORWARD, MY BRAKES EASILY REQUIRE 30-50% MORE PRESSURE (SOMETIMES MORE) TO STOP THE VEHICLE.
BRAKES ARE EXTREMELY SPONGY STARTED A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO WITH A COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE THAT I HAD TO VEER TO THE RIGHT AND HIT A CURB SO THAT I WOULDN'T HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. TOOK A HUGE CHUNK OUT OF MY RIM. I HAD 2 OF MY GRANDDAUGHTERS IN THE CAR WITH ME ON THAT PARTICULAR DAY AND WE WERE ALL TERRIFIED. AFTER THAT THEY STARTED WORKING FINE AGAIN AND NOW FOR THE PAST YEAR THEY HAVE BEEN SPONGY AND WE HAVE REPLACED EVERY PART OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM WITH NO CHANGE, THE BRAKES CONTINUE TO BE SPONGY. THIS HAS COST MY HUSBAND AND I A LOT OF MONEY, HEADACHE AND TIME. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR NOW NOT KNOWING IF IT COULD COMPLETELY FAIL AT ANY MOMENT. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, I SEE THERE ARE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE AND FORD SHOULD BE MADE TO FIX THE PROBLEM DUE TO THE FACT THAT SO MANY OF THESE CARS IF NOT ALL OF THEM ARE FAILING. AND TO TOP IT OFF I READ THAT FORD NO LONGER MAKES THE ABS SYSTEM FOR THE FUSIONS WITH AWD, WHICH IS WHAT I HAVE. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO. WE'VE DONE OUR PART KEEPING UP ON THE MAINTENANCE, EVEN REPLACING EVERY PART OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM INCLUDING THE ABS. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. FORD NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND MAKE THIS RIGHT. I OFTEN HAVE MY GRANDCHILDREN BUT I DON'T FEEL SAFE HAVING THEM IN MY CAR ANYMORE. IT'S REALLY MESSED UP THAT I SHELLED OUT ALL THIS MONEY FOR A SAFE CAR JUST TO HAVE THEM SAY IT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM WHEN THE EXACT SAME ISSUE IS OCCURRING YEAR AFTER YEAR IN THE FORD FUSIONS. TAKATA FRONTAL AIR BAG INFLATOR RECALL NOTICE 16S26/NHTSA RECALL 16V384 DATES JULY 2016. I HAVE CONTACTED FERMAN FORD IN CLEARWATER, FL., PH #727-793-6234 SEVERAL TIMES AND LAST CONTACT WITH SERVICE MANAGER, DENNIS ADVISED PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND I WAS NOT A PRIORITY. WOULD APPRECIATE GETTING THIS SOLVED.

AND THEY TELL ME THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AVAILABLE AND THAT I'LL GET A NOTICE IN THE MAIL WHEN THEY ARE READY. FAST FORWARD 10 MONTHS LATER (MAY 1ST 2017) AND I STILL GOT THE SAME RESPONSE WITH NO TIME TABLE AS TO WHEN THIS IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE WILL GET ADDRESSED. I CURRENTLY HAVE THE AIRBAG LIGHT LIT ON THE CONSOLE AND FEEL THAT I'M DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE SHOULD I GET IN AN ACCIDENT. THE ABS GOES OFF WHEN APPLYING THE BREAKS AT RANDOM TIMES WHEN IT SHOULD NOT BE, SUCH AS ON DRY PAYMENT, MAKING BREAKING DISTANCES LONGER. THE EVENT OCCURS MOSTLY AT SPEEDS BELOW 45 MPH AND HAS BEEN PRIMARILY OBSERVED IN LOCAL TRAFFIC. WHEN THIS OCCURS IT SEEMS TO BE WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL, SUCH AS SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A RIGHT OR LEFT HAND TURN. THERE ARE NO ABS WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH, BREAKS ARE NEWER ALONG WITH TIRES.

"TAKATA RECALL" WE WERE NOTIFIED IN JULY 2016 THE AIR BAG WAS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE OF A DANGER TO PERSONS DRIVING THIS CAR AS OF TODAY FORD MOTOR COMPANY STATED THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE , THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AT A COST OF OVER $300 WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIX AS PART OF THE RECALL NOW THE INDICATOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THE DEALER SHIP WANTS IN EXCESS OF $ 400 TO REPLACE FOR THE LAST YEAR I HAVE DRIVEN IN FEAR OF THIS CAR KILLING ME
TAKATA RECALL; RECALL WAS ISSUED JUNE 1 OF 2016. IT IS NOW APRIL 17, 2017, AND THERE IS STILL NOT A REMEDY AVAILABLE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. MY 2007 HONDA CIVIC WAS CAUGHT UP IN THE SAME RECALL, AND IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED/REPLACED. I AM NOW EXPECTING MY FIRST CHILD, AND I FEEL UNSAFE PUTTING AN INFANT IN THIS CAR, DUE TO THE POTENTIAL HAZARD. FURTHER, I UNDERSTAND THAT THE FAILURE OF THE AIRBAG IS MORE LIKELY TO OCCUR IN HUMID/CORROSIVE ENVIRONMENTS. I LIVE ON THE GULF COAST AND IT IS QUITE HUMID HERE. THIS HAS DRUG ON FAR, FAR TOO LONG.

THE LETTER STATED THAT I WOULD RECEIVE NOTICE WHEN THERE WAS A REMEDY AVAILABLE. AS OF 4/5/17, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THIS LETTER AND THE FORD SAFETY RECALL SITE STATES THAT THERE IS NOT YET A REMEDY AVAILABLE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND I DO NOT FEEL SAFE HAVING PASSENGERS RIDING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I LIVE IN AN EXTREMELY HOT AND HUMID ENVIRONMENT IN ARKANSAS AND THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. AN UNEXPECTED AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT, OR FAILURE TO DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO BOTH ANY PASSENGERS AND AS THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE. I FIND FORD'S EFFORT TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM UNACCEPTABLE AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE FORCE FORD'S HAND IN FIXING THIS RECALL AND EXPEDITING THE REMEDY PROCESS.

LEAKING ABS PUMP, THUS ALSO SUCKS AIR IN CAUSING INEFFICIENT BRAKING. SEARCHED ONLINE AND LOOKS LIKE LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE FACED THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE ABS PUMP OF RELATED FORD CARS, LINCOLN, MILAN, FUSION ETC. THE MENTIONED VEHICLE ONLY HAS 90K MILES ON IT. ITS TOO EARLY FOR ABS PUMP TO FAIL.
TAKATA RECALL. I AM FILING A COMPLAINT IN REGARDS TO MY VEHICLE THAT IS ALREADY RECALLED. MY CAR HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR A PASSENGER AIRBAG THAT IS PART OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG ISSUE. MY CAR WAS RECALLED IN JUNE OF 2016. THAT INITIAL RECALL NOTICE WAS MY ONLY INFORMATION SENT TO ME BY FORD. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY UPDATES TO THIS RECALL SINCE. WHEN I CALL I GET THE USUAL CANNED RESPONSE FROM A REPRESENTATIVE THAT THERE IS NO FIX YET. I HAVE BEEN CHECKING THEIR WEBSITE REGULARLY. TODAY THE SITE DOESN'T EVEN SHOW MY CAR AS BEING RECALLED WHICH I HOPE IS JUST A PROBLEM WITH THEIR WEBSITE. MY CAR IS CLOSE TO 10 YEARS OLD WITH THIS AIRBAG AND MY ENVIRONMENT HAS BEEN VERY HUMID AND HOT DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS WHICH CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THESE AIRBAGS RUPTURING. IT WOULD BE NICE TO AT LEAST GET SOME SORT OF TIME FRAME AS TO WHEN FORD HOPES TO HAVE A FIX, OR EVEN AN IDEA OF WHEN THIS IS GOING TO BE REMEDIED. PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG MAKES A SQUEAKING NOISE WHILE DRIVING. SEPARATION BETWEEN THE AIRBAG AND THE DASH IS ALSO NOTICEABLE. PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG FOR THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN UNDER RECALL SINCE 6/1/2016 BUT FORD DEALERSHIP IS STATING NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND THEY HAVE NO ETA ON WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE. IN THE MEANTIME, WE ARE UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING THE CAR WITH THE AIRBAG ACTING AS IT IS.
TAKATA RECALL ENGINE GOES INTO LIMP MODE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. WRENCH APPEARS AND ENGINE DOES NOT GO ABOVE 2500 RPM. SHUT VEHICLE OFF, IT RUNS PROPERLY. THEN IT DOES IT AGAIN.

CALLED LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS GIVEN NO INDICATION OF A KNOWN FIX FOR THE RECALL AT THIS TIME AND DOES NOT HAVE IN TIMELINE FOR THE SOLUTION. "TAKATA RECALL" A NOTICE WAS SENT TO US DATED MARCH 2017. NO REMEDY OR FURTHER COMMUNICATION FROM THE COMPANY.
I RECEIVED A NOTE FROM FORD MONTHS AGO THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SHOULD BE REPLACED AND THAT I SHOULD WAIT UNTIL I HEAR FROM MY LOCAL FORD DEALER. WHEN I CHECKED WITH THE DEALER HE SAID WE ARE "WAITING FOR PARTS" ... I HAVE HAD NO WORD FROM ANYONE SINCE.
"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED A LETTER FORD IN MARCH 2017 CONCERNING A RECALL ON MY CAR DUE DEFECTIVE AIR BAGS. IT CLEARLY STATES A RUPTURED INFLATOR MAY RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. IT IS EVEN MORE DANGEROUS FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVE A HEART PACE MAKER. I CANNOT DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE OF THIS CONDITION AND I HAVE HAD TO BORROW A CAR WHENEVER I NEED TO GO ANYWHERE. I HAVE CONTACTED THE IOWA ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE AND FILED A COMPLAINT. IN RESPONSE TO THIS COMPLAINT THEY HAVE FORWARDED THIS ON TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND I WAS PROMISED A LETTER . THAT WAS 2 WEEKS AGO. I NEED A CAR REPLACEMENT OR THE CURRENT CAR TO BE REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY. OTHERWISE I WILL GO BACK TO OUR ATTORNEY GENERAL AND READDRESS.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A LETTER INFORMING ME OF THE RECALL.IF DEPLOYED, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG MAY RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS CAUSING INJURY OR DEATH. I STOPPED AT A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO INQUIRE ABOUT WAYS TO RESOLVE AND THEY HAD NO OPTIONS TO OFFER UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO FIX THE AIRBAG. THEY WERE GIVEN NO TIMEFRAME IN WHICH THIS WOULD HAPPEN.

"TAKATA RECALL", I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY IN DEARBORN, MICHIGAN REGARDING A RECALL DATED MARCH 2017 INSTRUCTING ME TO WAIT FOR A FURTHER NOTICE FROM THEM INDICATING THAT THEY HAVE PARTS AVAILABLE TO ENABLE ME TO CONTACT MY LOCAL DEALER AND HAVE THE DEFECTIVE PARTS REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. I AM STILL WAITING. I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER AND WAS TOLD I WOULD GET A NOTICE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY. I AM GREATLY CONCERNED AS I DRIVE MY VEHICLE ABOUT 50 MILES DAILY TO WORK AND I DRIVE MY FIANCE MANY PLACES, ALL THE WHILE WORRIED THAT THE DEFECTIVE PART COULD CAUSE SCRAPNEL FLYING AT BOTH OF US OR THE ACTUAL AIRBAG NOT WORKING CORRECTLY IF NEEDED, POSSIBLY INJURYING OR EVEN KILLING ONE OR BOTH OF US OR ANYONE ELSE THAT HAPPENS TO BE IN THE CAR AT THE TIME. I FEEL THAT DESPITE A CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDING (TK HOLDINGS INC.,ET AL - CHAPTER 11 CASE NO. 17-11375 BLS ) THAT FORD IS STILL ABLE TO GET REPLACEMENT KITS TO REMEDY THE DEFECT FROM TAKATA AS THEY ARE ONLY RESTRUCTURING AND WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE ENOUGH KITS TO REPLACE THE DEFECTS. FORD IS TAKING TOO LONG ON THIS MATTER WHEN PEOPLE'S SAFETY AND LIVES ARE AT RISK. THE REAL WORRY IS CAUSE FOR PUNITIVE DAMAGES FOR STRESS AND CRUEL AND INHUMANE TREATMENT DUE TO FORD 'S NEGLECT.

I RECEIVED NOTICE OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL FOR MY 2007 FORD FUSION IN 03/2017. I CONTACTED FORD'S CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 08/11/2017 AND I WAS ADVISED THAT FORD IS IN THE PROCESS OF FILING A NEW AIRBAG SUPPLIER DUE TO TAKATA'S FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY. IT IS NOW 11/15/2017 AND MY AIRBAG HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED, AND I HAVEN'T HEARD ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM FORD. I DO REALIZE THAT TAKATA'S FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY MIGHT HAVE COMPLICATED THE SITUATION. I ALSO REALIZE THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL; HOWEVER, IT IS A CONCERN FOR ME THAT 8 MONTHS HAVE GONE BY AND THIS SAFETY RECALL HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. I HOPE THAT DELAY DOES NOT RESULT IN ANY INJURY TO MYSELF OR ANYONE ELSE. I FEEL THAT 8 MONTHS OF WAITING IS A LONG TIME, ESPECIALLY FOR A SAFETY RECALL AND THAT THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED OF THE LACK OF SPEED AND, AS A RESULT, LACK OF CONCERN THAT WHOEVER IS IN CHARGED OF FIXING THIS PROBLEM HAS. THANKFULLY MY FAMILY AND I HAVE NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY CAR FIX AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. 2017 IS ALMOST OVER AND THIS RECALL HAS BEEN ALMOST IN EFFECT FOR A YEAR - SOMETHING THAT IT'S COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
TAKATA RECALL MY DAUGHTERS FORD FUSION 2007 IS INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. SHE HAS A MEDICAL CONDITION THAT REQUIRES A PACEMAKER AND MAKES IT EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE THIS CAR. WE GAVE THIS INFORMATION TO DEREK LEWIS AT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION TO HANDLE. THIS WAS IN AUG 2017. AS OF TODAY DEC 27TH NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. WE NEED THIS PROBLEM FIXED NOW.
