THE POWER ASSIST FAILED AND UNABLE TO STEER. IT WAS A $2,000 REPAIR AND A SEARCH OF THE INTERNET INDICATES OTHER FUSIONS FROM THE SAME YEAR WERE PART OF A MAJOR RECALL. BASED ON VIN MINE WAS NOT. THIS DOES NOT SEEM FAIR OR EVEN MAKE SENSE. I CALLED FORD AND THEY WILL NOT OFFER REFUND OR REPAIR.
MY DAUGHTER,WHO DRIVES THE CAR, INFORMED ME HER BRAKE PEDAL WAS GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WHEN SHE TRIED TO STOP AND THAT HER BRAKING DISTANCE WAS A LOT LONGER THAN IT SHOULD BE, SHE FELT IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR FEAR OF NOT BEING ABLE TO STOP SUDDENLY IF NEED TO. SHE HAS INFORMED ME OF MANY CLOSE CALLS SHE HAS EXPERIENCED WITH GETTING HER VEHICLE STOPPED. I CHECKED HER BRAKE PADS AND THEY WERE FINE, SO I BLEAD THE BRAKES, AND THIS DID NOT HELP EITHER. AFTER SEARCHING ONLINE, I FOUND THIS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2011-2012 MODEL FUSIONS. EVERYTHING I FOUND ONLINE POINTED TOWARD THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT OF THE ABS MODULE. I THINK FORD SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE SINCE IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND NOT TO MENTION THE COST OF THE HCU FOR THE ABS.
SENSOR FAILURE IN THE RACK AND PINION WHICH SHUT DOWN MY POWER STEERING ASSIST WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THIS WAS A PRECIOUS RECALL ON THE VEHICLE.
THERE IS A RECALL #15S18 FOR A POWER STEERING COMPONENT ON MY CAR WITH FORD. THAT POWER STEERING UNIT IS CURRENTLY ACTING UP. I FOUND THE RECALL AND CALLED FORD. I WAS TOLD THAT IF II HAD LESS THAN 150,000 MILES ON THE CAR THEY WOULD FIX IT. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP IT CHANGED TO REPROGRAM ONLY THEN F T ACTED UP AGAIN THEY WOULD REPLACE IT. WE BOTH THE CAR USED IN DECEMBER OF 2017. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD HAD THE CAR N FOR THIS RECALL FOR REPROGRAMMING IN JUNE 2017. SO ACCORDING TO THE RECALL THE UNIT SHOULD BE REPLACED SINCE THE PROGRAMMING DID NOT FIX IT. IT STATES THE CAR WILL BE COVERED UP TO 150,0000 MILES. FORD IS SAYING THAT THE RECALL EXPIRED AT 60,000 MILES YET THE CAR HAD OVER 60,000 MILES ON IT WHEN IT WENT FOR THERE REPROGRAM IN JUNE 2017. ESSENTIALLY, FORD IS NOT HONORING THIS RECALL REPAIR.
ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING COMPLETELY FAILED WHILE IN MOTION. FORD HAD PREVIOUS RECALL ON SAME YEAR AND MODEL VEHICLES (FUSION, 2011) BUT FOR SOME REASON NOT ON MY PARTICULAR VIN, FORD DID NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE COVERING THE $2,450 COST OF REPLACEMENT.
MY DAUGHTER HAD HER STEERING GEAR REPAIRED/REPLACED UNDER A RECALL AND NOW IT HAS GONE OUT AGAIN...BUT THEY WON'T FIX IT CAUSE THEY SAY SHE HAS MILES OVER THE WARRANTY. TO ME, IF SAME PROBLEMS HAPPEN TWICE, MAYBE THEY DIDN'T FIX IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. NOW SHE IS STUCK WITHOUT A CAR AND I AM VERY FRUSTRATED. PERSON AT CUSTOMER SEVICE SAYS THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL, BUT DEALER SAYS NO>
TAKATA RECALL ON MY WAY HOME DRIVING IN THE CITY THE "SERVICE POWER STEERING" MESSAGE POPPED UP. I GOT HOME AND PARKED MY CAR LIKE NORMAL. THE NEXT MORNING AS I'M LEAVING, IT IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO TURN OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY.
I WAS DRIVING AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED IN TRAFFIC ON A ONE LANE ROAD. VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME STOPPED ABRUPTLY, AND I APPLIED MY BRAKES. BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR, WHICH IN TURN INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE AND CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2011 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD WHERE IT WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THERE WAS ONE INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT SUFFERED FROM SEVERE PAIN AND MULTIPLE BRUISES. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 16,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED FOR THE SERVICE ADVANCETRAC, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, AND POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V384000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE INTERIM NOTICE INDICATED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FROM THE MANUFACTURER FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO INCLUDED IN TWO MANUFACTURER SERVICE CAMPAIGNS: 13N03(ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY EXTENDED COVERAGE) AND 15N01 (EPAS STEERING EFFORTS). THE CONTACT WAS TO CHECK WITH THE MANUFACTURER TO DETERMINE IF THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE TWO CAMPAIGNS. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE "POWER STEERING FAULT" MESSAGE DISPLAYED AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED. WASHINGTON BLVD, SARASOTA, FL) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID. **TR UPDATED 11/9/18*JB

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PRECISION FORD (945 N MAIN ST, LILLINGTON, NC 27546, (910) 814-2243) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CONTROL ARM NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
POWER STEERING CONTINUES TO GO OUT PERIODICALLY ..ERROR MESSAGE SAYS POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. THE WAS "FIXED" A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND NOW GOING OUT AGAIN AND THEY SAY IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY CAUSE MILES EXCEED 150,000. LAST TIME ON EXPRESSWAY GOING OVER 60 MPH. TOOK IT TO DEALER AND THEY SAY IT NEEDS A STEERING GEAR..THIS SHOULD BE ON A RECALL . I FEEL FORD IS NOT BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS AND PUTTING US IN DANGER OF AN ACCIDENT THAT COULD KILL US OR OTHER. PLEASE HELP.
I COULD NOT OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR AFTER PARKING ON STREET. FROM THE INSIDE. HAD TO CLIMB OVER CONSOLE TO PASSENGER DOOR. I AM 83YR. FEMALE ON WALKER. 93DEGREE DAY. MUST TAKE TO DEALER TO HAVE FIXED. CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY.
THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT WITHOUT GIVING YOU ANY WARNING. IT HAS HAPPEN TO ME SEVERAL TIMES SINCE I HAD MY CAR. IT SAYS (POWER STEERING ADVANCE NOW). I CAN KEEP DRIVING, BUT ONCE I TURN THE CAR OFF. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS. WHEN I CRANK IT BACK UP, THE STEERING WHEEL IS LOCKED AND I CANT DRIVE IT ANYMORE.I HAVE TO CALL A TOW TRUCK AND HAVE IT PULLED TO FORD AUTO NATION. WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS THAT THIS HAPPENS AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT MYSELF. I NEVER NO WHEN ITS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN. THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE OF MY 2011 FORD FUSION WILL NOT OPEN. NOT ONLY IS THIS AN INCONVENIENCE, IT'S ALSO DANGEROUS. IN AN ACCIDENT EVERY SECOND COUNTS. IF YOU CAN'T ESCAPE YOUR VEHICLE THE RESULTS COULD BE FATAL. I RESEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THE DOOR HANDLE PROBLEM IS PREVALENT WITH 2006-2012 FUSIONS, AS EVIDENT BY THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS. THERE IS EVEN A WORK AROUND TRICK POSTED. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE AUTONATION FORD WESTLAKE DEALERSHIP QUOTED $212.59 TO REPAIR MY HANDLE. MY INTAKE REPRESENTATIVE QUOTED THE COST OF REPAIR WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING IT UP BECAUSE HE'S PROCESSED SO MANY, MANY REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER SHOULD VOLUNTARILY ISSUE A RECALL AND REPAIR THE CAR
MY WIFE AND I GAVE THIS CAR TO OUR DAUGHTER WHEN SHE GOT HER DRIVERS LICENSE IN 2016.SINCE THEN THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS THAT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED BECAUSE THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER. THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR HAS GONE OUT AND FORD IS AWARE THAT IS A PROBLEM BUT WILL NOT RECALL, AND NOW 3 TIMES THE STEERING HAS LOCKED UP ON HER WITH AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT READS "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT". IN READING VARIOUS ARTICLES THERE WAS A RECALL BUT FOR SOME REASON MY CAR HAVING A 3.5 LITER WAS NOT IN THE RECALL, NOT REAL SURE WHAT ENGINE SIZE HAS TO DO WITH POWER STEERING. FORTUNATELY ALL 3 FAILURES OCCURRED IN OUR DRIVE WAY WHILE SHE WAS BACKING OUT AND SHE TURNED THE CAR OFF AND STARTED IT BACK UP AND THE CAR CORRECTED ITSELF. I AM IN FEAR FOR MY DAUGHTERS LIFE AT THIS POINT, EVEN THOUGH SHE HAS 2+ YRS OF DRIVING EXPERIENCE WHO IS TO SAY THAT IF THIS HAPPENS WHEN SHE IS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD SHE WILL KNOW HOW TO REACT WITHOUT HARMING HERSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE. FORD NEEDS TO OWN UP AND FIX THEIR DEFECTIVE VEHICLES PS. THIS FORD ONLY HAS 45,000 MILES ON IT. RALPH NADER, WE NEED YOU!!!!
SOMETIMES ON START UP THERE IS NO POWER STEERING. THERE IS A WARNING LIGHT ABOUT STEERING MALFUNCTION. IF THE KEY IS TURNED OFF AND THEN RE-STARTED THE STEERING COMES BACK. THE DANGER IS IF THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING.
ON AUGUST 16TH 2018. MY 18YR SON WAS DRIVING WHEN HIS POWER STEERING WENT. HE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED ALONG WITH OTHERS. THERE WAS A RECALL BY FORD. BUT WITH RESTRICTIONS. WITH IN 10YRS IR 150KMILES WHAT EVER CAME 1ST. MY SON'S CAR DID NOT QUALIFY AS IT WAS JUST OVER THE 150K MILEAGE. THE COST OF THE REPAIR IS OVER 2K....WE ARE DEVASTATE. HOW FORD CAN BUT SUCH RESTRICTIONS WHEN MY PREVIOUS SON & OTHER'S COULD HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES. ALSO HOW CAN A DEALERSHIP SELL CARS WHEN THERE IS VERY HARSH RECALLS. WE LOVE TO BUY FORD BECAUSE IT IS AN AMERICAN CAR & SUPPOSE TO BE DEPENDABLE & RELIABLE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR THINKING MY SON WAS GOING TO BE SAFE. INSTEAD I BOUGHT HIM A DEATH TRAP. THANK YOU.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PRESSURE TESTED AND FOUND SAFE TO DRIVE, AND ALSO THAT THE RECALL WAS REMOVED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
MY VEHICLE WAS MOVING IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THE ENGINE SUDDENLY BEGAN TO MISFIRE AND STALLED. THE FORD DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE ENGINE SUFFERED A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. THIS HAPPENED WITHOUT WARNING. ALL MAINTENANCE WAS PREFORMED ON TIME OR AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. THIS CATASTROPHIC FAILURE HAPPENED WITH LESS THAN 100,000 MILES. FORD WOULD NOT COVER THIS UNDER WARRANTY. FROM WHAT RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH FORDS 3.5 LITER CYCLONE ENGINES. THE WATER PUMP FAILES RESULTING IN CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. IF THIS PROBLEM WOULD OCCUR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES WOULD BE OPERABLE,POSSIBLY RESULTING IN ACCIDENTS. THIS IS AN UNACCEPTABLE SITUATION!, NOT TO MENTION A COSTLY REPAIR BILL. LOST OF STEERING CONTROL WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY DUE TO FAILURE OF- ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM.
JENKINS AND WYNNE FORD IN CLARKSVILLE TN HAS REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING TWICE ALREADY. VEHICLE WAS RETURNED BACK TO US ON 8-9 AUG AFTER FIXING IT FOR A SECOND TIME. WITHIN 24HRS ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING WENT OUT AGAIN AND RETURNED IT IMMEDIATELY TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP. NOW DEALERSHIP IS CLAIMING THE LOWER CONTROLS ARMS ARE BAD AND NEED TO BE REPLACED AND IS THE CAUSE OF WHY THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING IS GOING OUT. THERE HAS BEEN NO NOTICEABLE NOISES, CLUNKS OR ANYTHING TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUE BEING THE LOWER CONTROL ARMS. FORD IS CLAIMING THE BAD LOWER CONTROL ARMS ARE PUTTING TO MUCH PRESSURE ON THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING CONTROL UNIT.
UPON STARTING THE CAR AND BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY I EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST. EVEN WITH SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTART, THE CODE IS STILL THERE. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY CASES OF THIS HAPPENING ONLINE AND A RECALL THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER IN 2015.
I TOOK MY 2011 FORD FUSION TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN HARLINGEN TX. THEY VERIFIED THE VEHICLE WAS UP FOR RECALL SINCE IT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MECHANICS TOOK THE CAR IN AND REPAIRED THE CAR AFTER 7 DAYS OF DROPPING IT OFF. ON DAY 7 THEY CALLED ME THAT IT NEEDED A TIE ROD WHICH I PURCHASED AND DELIVERED FIRST HAND. 2 HOURS LATER THEY CALLED ME THAT I HAD TO PAY $1,300 BECAUSE THE CAR WAS NOT UP FOR RECALL AND THAT IF I DIDN'T PAY THEY WOULD BE PUTTING MY BROKEN PART BACK ON AND RELEASING THE CAR TO ME. I WENT ON TO COMPLAIN TO THE MANAGER AND THEY MANAGED TO TAKE $500 OUT FOR THE REPAIRS THEY HAVE DONE THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE UP FOR RECALL. I WAITED 7 DAYS TO FIND OUT I WAS BEING CHARGED FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE. RECALL NUMBER 15NO1 AND 15NO2. I HAVE RECITE AND VIDEO OF THE CONFRONTATION. I HAD ALREADY WRECKED THE CAR DUE TO THE STEERING ISSUES. I ALSO REPAIRED THE DAMAGED AFTER THE ACCIDENT TO LATER FIND OUT IT WAS UP FOR RECALL!
THROTTLE BODY WAS UNDER RECALL AND WAS REPLACED IN 2016, NOT EVEN A YEAR AND HALF LATER MY THROTTLE BODY FAILED AGAIN. FORD WONT REPLACE IT UNDER WARRANTY FOR THE YEAR AND HALF PART, FORD WONT USE MY EXTENDED VEHICLE WARRANTY AND I CONTINUE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM OVER AND OVER.
THE CAR IS PARKED ON THE CURB SO I'D STARTED IT UP AND WAS PROCEEDING TO TURN IT AROUND IN A DRIVEWAY ACROSS THE STREET WHEN THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT SUDDENLY AND I COULD BARELY TURN THE WHEEL. A WARNING ON THE DASHBOARD SAID THE POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY HAD FAILED. AFTER MUCH EFFORT, I PULLED THE CAR ALONGSIDE THE CURB ACROSS THE STREET AND TURNED IT OFF. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THE MAN THERE SAID THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE FOR THE POWER STEERING AND HE WAS 99% SURE IT WOULD BE COVERED BUT AFTER I HAD IT TOWED THERE, HE SAID IT DIDN'T MEET THE CRITERIA FOR THE RECALL -- THAT THE COMPUTER WASN'T THROWING CERTAIN CODES SO I HAD TO PAY $2,000 TO GET IT FIXED. I JUST HAVE TO TRUST HE WAS BEING TRUTHFUL ABOUT THE NO CODES.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND IT WAS LATER TOWED TO VIC VALLEY FORD LINCOLN (501 EAST DANIEL MORGAN AVENUE, SPARTANBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA 20304, (864)-583-3600). THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING REAR CONTROL ARM WAS CAUSING FRICTION TO THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM, WHICH CAUSED THE SYSTEM NOT TO OPERATE NORMALLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING) ON AUGUST 11, 2018 BY THE SAME DEALER. THE RECALL REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 142,205.
TATAKA RECALL. ME AND MY WIFE TOOK OUR VEHICLE TO FUTURE FORD OF ROSEVILLE IN REGARDS TO THE TATAKA RECALL. THIS WAS ON AUGUST 6 2018. WE HAVE HAD A RENTAL EVER SINCE AND HAS BECOME QUITE FRUSTRATING. THE POWER STEERING IN MY 2011 FORD FUSION HAS BEEN GOING OUT PERIODICALLY. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A WIDE TURN BECAUSE IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN THE WHEEL. A LOT OF TIMES THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT WHEN I'M STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. I CAN STILL DRIVE THE CAR TO MY DESTINATION LOCALLY USING THE STREETS BUT I FEAR THAT IT WILL GO OUT ONE DAY WHILE I'M DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. LUCKILY IT'S USUALLY ONLY ME IN THE CAR WHEN IT HAPPENS BUT I'M AFRAID THAT IT MIGHT ALSO HAPPEN WHEN MY KIDS ARE IN THE CAR. I HAD A RECALL ON MY CAR LAST YEAR 2017. I TOOK IT TO BE FIXED. THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AND POWER STEERING MODULE. AFTER HAVING THAT REPLACED I LATER NOTICE MY CAR WASN'T DRIVING RIGHT. I ASKED IF COST TO CHECK THE PART THEY REPLACED BECAUSE MY CAR WAS DRIVING THE SAME SINCE THEY FIXED IT. SO JUNE 30,2018 I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC FOR OIL CHANGE AND HE TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD TAKE MY CAR TO DEALERSHIP TO GET RACK AND PINION CHECK.HE EXPRESS TO ME THAT I SHOULD GET IT LOOKED AT SOON BECAUSE MY WHEEL SEEM LIKE IT WILL LOCK. AUGUST 5,2018 I WAS DRIVING THE EXPRESS WAY AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF MY CAR. IT KEPT SWERVING BACK AND FORWARD IN AND OUT OF LANE. THE BLOWER RESISTOR WIRING TO THE FAN ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED FOR $371.27. THE THIRD REPAIR WAS JUL 12TH, 2018. MILEAGE WAS 46594. THE BLOWER MOTOR WAS REPLACED ALONG WITH THE SAME WIRING DONE AT THE SECOND REPAIR FOR $618.98. FORD WOULD NOT HELP WITH THE COST OF ANY REPAIRS. AFTER READING FORD FUSION FORUMS ON THE INTERNET, THIS PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE COMMON. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE WINDSHIELD CAN FOG UP QUICKLY IN WINTER OR SUMMER, AND ICING CAN BUILD UP IN WINTER CAUSING LOSS OF VISIBILITY. IT IS DANGEROUS TO TRY TO CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION. I THINK THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR A RECALL. I CONTACTED ANOTHER FORD DEALERSHIP, BUD NORRIS FORD, AND THEY STATED THAT THEY AREN'T GIVING OUT RENTALS ANYMORE AND FORD ONLY TOLD ME THEY WERE GIVING OUT RENTALS TO GET ME OFF OF THE PHONE AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT. I CONTACTED A THIRD FORD DEALERSHIP, AL PACKER, AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT EITHER. SO I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AROUND A CAR WITH AIRBAGS THAT COULD KILL ME WITH NO ONE ABLE TO FIX THEM. WITH NHTSA HAVING STARTED AN INVESTIGATION IN 2016(ACCORDING TO AN ARTICLE IN FORBES MAGAZINE), ONE WOULD THINK THAT THERE WOULD BE SOME SORT OF ACTION BY NOW. OR PERHAPS AMERICAN LIVES ARE NOT OF THE SAME VALUE AS THE PROFITS MADE BY THE MANUFACTURER.
