LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING, BARELY ABLE TO KEEP CONTROL AS IT HAPPENED MID TURN AND HAD TO STEER AWAY FROM CURB AS THE STEERING WHEEL WAS MOSTLY LOCKED UP. ERROR CODES INCLUDING STEERING ASSIST FAULT, ADVANCED TRACK FAULT, AND HIII START FAULT APPEARED AND STEERING WHEEL STAYED LOCKED UP. ATTEMPTED TURNING VEHICLE OFF AND ON BUT ERRORS AND STEERING WHEEL FAILURE REMAIN.
MY VEHICLE IS HAVING ISSUES WITH MY CAR NOT GOING INTO PARK. LAST WEEK I GOT HOME PULLED IN MY DRIVEWAY. I TRIED TO PUT MY CAR IN PARK BUT THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT MOVE. IT WAS STUCK IN THE DRIVE MODE. THE ONLY WAY I WAS ABLE TO STOP MY CAR FROM ROLLING INTO MY HOUSE WAS BY USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THIS IS THE SECOND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS RECALL WITH THIS VEHICLE. PREVIOUSLY I HAD A RECALL WITH THE BACK PASSENGER DOOR LATCH. DRIVING WITH MY CHILDREN ONE PARTICULAR DAY AND THE DOOR OPENS. MY PERSONAL OPINION AND BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE THE 2013 FORD FUSION IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND HAS NOT BEEN MANUFACTURED PROPERLY.
THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER STEERING UPON START UP. THREE WARNINGS COME UP: : STEERING ASSIST FAULT, SERVICE ADVANCE TRACK, AND HILL ASSIST. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT, BUT CONSISTENT PROBLEM WHICH INCREASES IN FREQUENCY AND DURATION, LASTING AS MUCH AS 20 MILES AT A TIME. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES OVER MORE THAN 2 YEARS WITHOUT A SUCCESSFUL DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR.
LOST COMPLETE POWER AND CONTROL OF CAR NO ACCELERATION WHEN PRESSING GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF STREET CAR SLOWS DOWN WITHOUT NO WARNING AFTER PARKING THE CAR A WRECK INDICATOR FLASH. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IT'S HIT DOWN ON ME I HAD IT REPAID LAST YEAR AND IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN MY LIFE IS AT RISK WITH THIS CAR SHUTTING OFF ON ITS OWN IT'S NOT FAIR THAT I'M BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE TO PAY FOR THIS FAULTY DEATH TRAP VEHICLE. I COULDN'T DRIVE MY CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION FORD UNION CITY (LOCATED AT 4355 JONESBORO RD, UNION CITY, GA 30291) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,865.
TPMS SYSTEM FAULT COMES UP SHORTLY AFTER KEY FOBS STOP WORKING TOOK VEHICLE TO A FOR DEALER FOR SERVICE ALL THEY CAN SAY IS THAT IS THE RTM MODULE BUT THEY CANT BE TO SURE ON WHAT IT IS SEEM LIKE THEY DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON THIS HAS HAPPEN AT TWO FORD DEALERS ALREADY, RESEARCH WAS DONE AND IT SEEM THAT FORD HAD THIS ISSUE WITH LINCOLN MKX

ON ONE OCCASION, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED INTO PARK, IT CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD. A "SEE MANUAL" MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WOOD HOUSE FORD (3633 N 72ND ST, OMAHA, NE 68134, (402) 574-2600), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WANTED TO EXPLORE HIS OPTIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST BECAUSE THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

THE CONTACT CALLED TERRY'S FORD OF PEOTONE AT 708-258-9200 (LOCATED AT 363 N HARLEM AVE, PEOTONE, IL 60468) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE DOOR LATCH FAILED WHILE STATIONARY. I OPENED THE DOOR AND IT WOULD NOT CLOSE. THE CAR HAD ALREADY HAD ALL THE DOOR LATCHES REPLACED IN 2016 BECAUSE OF THE RECALL ISSUED FOR DOOR LATCHES FAILING. THE "NEW" DOOR LATCH FAILED DUE TO THE SAME PROBLEM THE RECALL WAS SUPPOSED TO CORRECT.

SWOLLEN, MISSHAPEN LUG NUTS CREATES UNSAFE CONDITIONS FOR CHANGING TIRES AFTER A FLAT TIRE ON THE ROAD. THIS IS MY SON MATTHEW'S CAR AND I AM A CO-SIGNER ON THE TITLE AND PAY THE INSURANCE. HE NOTICED AFTER GETTING A FLAT TIRE WHILE DRIVING IN YORK, PA.
WHEN IN PARK OR DRIVING MY DOOR OPENS UP. MY DOOR WILL NOT LOCK AND IT'S NOT SAFE DRIVING MY VEHICLE . AND IT'S AIRBAG SINGAL ON THE DASHBOARD .

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO CALL NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,000.

FORD HAS YET TO REMEDY A SOLUTION FOR THE TRANSMISSION CABLE SHIFTER ON THE FORD FUSION. MY VEHICLE SHIFTER IS IN THE PARK POSITION, HOWEVER, THE DASHBOARD DISPLAYS THAT THE CAR IN IN NEUTRAL. PREVIOUSLY, I HAD PARKED MY CAR, SHUT OF THE IGNITION AND EXITED. MY CAR PROCEEDED TO MOVE BACK AND STRUCK MY HUSBAND'S CAR. LUCKILY, IT WAS ONLY MY HUSBAND'S CAR AND NOT ANOTHER VEHICLE, OBJECT, OR PERSON. THIS ISSUE INITIALLY WAS ANNOUNCED IN JULY OF 2018. I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL OF MAY 2019. CURRENTLY, MY CAR WILL NO LONGER OPERATE. THE SHIFTER WILL NOT MOVE AT THIS POINT, THEREFORE, I'M UNABLE TO OPERATE MY CAR. WHEN I CONTACTED MULTIPLE FORD DEALERSHIPS IN THE AREA, AS WELL AS CORPORATE, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE AT THIS POINT AND THAT FORD WILL ADMINISTER AN ADDITIONAL LETTER WHEN THE ISSUE CAN BE ADDRESSED. MONTHS HAVE PASSED AND FORD HAS DONE NOTHING. THE SAFETY LETTER ADVISED, THAT FORD'S "COMMITMENT, TOGETHER WITH YOUR DEALER, IS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF SERVICE AND SUPPORT. SADLY, THIS IS NOT THE CASE.
FORD FUSION RECALL - RIGHT REAR DOOR LATCH UNHOOKED, THE DOOR DOESN'T STAY CLOSED. RECALL WAS FOUND ON THIS SITUATION, AND FRONT RIGHT DOOR HAD THIS ISSUE ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND WAS CLAIMED TO BE FIXED. NOW REAR RIGHT DOOR IS HAVING THIS ISSUE AND IT IS ENTIRELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. ANGELA KRAUSE FORD IN ROSWELL WAS CHARGING AROUND $500 TO REPLACE THIS DOOR LATCH, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS STAYING AT THEIR LOCATION WAITING FOR A WARRANTY TO COVER THE COSTS BUT THIS DID NOT OCCUR, AND WE WERE STILL CHARGED FOR A DIAGNOSTIC FEE, JUST FOR THEM TO LOOK AT THE DOOR.
WHEN I PUT THE BACK SEATS DOWN TO CARRY ITEMS THE BACK SEAT WILL NOT GO BACK IN PLACE. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE BOTTOM SEAT OUT AND REMOVE THE CENTER SEATBELT BOLT WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE FRAME AND RELEASE THE PRESSURE ONCE YOU DO THIS THE RETURNS TO A NORMAL POSITION IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR SEEMS DEFECTIVE. IT WAS STATIONARY
THE CAR CREATES A CONSTANT LOUD AIR SUCTION NOISE WHEN ACCELERATED. THE SOUND BECOMES LOUDER THE FASTER YOU GO WHEN STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATION PEDAL. THERE IS NO SOUND WHEN THE CAR IS IN IDLE AND ROLLING WITHOUT STEPPING ON THE ACCELERATION PEDAL. THE CAR WAS TAKEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND ASKED TO BE DROVE BY DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE SOUND. THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR CODES SHOWING UP. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM.

WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR MOTOR BOLTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED DRUM HILL FORD (LOCATED AT 1212 WESTFORD ST, LOWELL, MA 01851, (978) 452-3900) AND THE MANUFACTURER TO NOTIFY THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
DOOR LATCH BROKEN. THIS TIME IT'S THE DRIVERS ENTRY DOOR. THIS IS THE 3RD DOOR LATCH TO BREAK AFTER THE DOOR LATCH RECALL 'FIX' THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED ON THIS VEHICLE. THIS LATCH BROKE WHILE STATIONARY, THE FIRST BROKEN LATCH OCCURRED WHEN MOVING

AFTER THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE WOULD RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO INDICATED THAT, DUE TO THE RECALL REMEDY, THE ENGINE WOULD AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF WHEN OVERHEATING. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT DUE TO THE OVERHEATING, THE ENGINE CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-25222543, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 146,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED TWO YEARS AGO BY LENOIR CITY FORD (775 US-32, LENOIR, TN 37771). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR REPAIRED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
ENGINE CYLINDER MISFIRE WITH PAST ENGINE BLOCK CRACKING DUE TO ANOTHER RECALL NOW COMING BACK 5 YEARS AFTER INITIALLY RECALLED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
I JUST RECENTLY HAD TO REPLACE ALL OF MY LUG NUTS. EVERY LUG NUT HAD SWOLLEN SO BADLY THAT THEY HAD TO BE REPLACED. ONE OF THE LUG NUTS BROKE CLEAN OFF, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE THE WHEEL. ANOTHER LUG NUT WAS LOOSE AS A RESULT OF THE DEFECT. FORD KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM, BUT REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT IS A KNOWN SERIOUS DEFECT, OTHER FUSION OWNERS I'VE TALKED TO HAVE SAID THEY HAVE HAD A WHEEL FALL OFF AS A RESULT OF THE LUGNUTS SNAPPING.
SO WHAT'S HAPPENING IS THAT EVERY TIME I OPEN THE BACK SEAT TO PUT DOWN THE SEAT BELT GETS JAM AND WONT RELEASE AND THEN I HAVE TO GET A TOOL TO UNSCREW THE ENTIRE BUCKLE WHERE THE SEAT BELT LATCHES INTO JUST TO RELEASE THE SEAT FROM BEING STUCK DOWN, NOT ONLY THAT WHEN I PUT THE SEAT BACK UP THE BELT JAMS UP AGAIN. ALSO THE CAR WAS PARKED

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GANLEY FORD (2835 BARBER RD, NORTON, OH 44203) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LEVERAGE WAS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED BEFORE THE RECALL REPAIR COULD BE COMPLETED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.
VEHICLE STALLS INTERMITENTLY WHILE AT LOW SPEED 0-5 MPH. NO WARNING LIGHTS COME ON AT PANEL. HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WITHIN LAST MONTH. DEALER CHECK REVEALS NO IDENTIFYABLE PROBLEMS. HAPPENED AT LOCAL INTERSECTIONS CREATING MAJOR HAZARD TO OCCUPANTS AND OTHER VEHICLES.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BRIGHTON FORD (8240 GRAND RIVE AVE, BRIGHTON, MI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE BUSHING FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.

THE SEATS RAISED BACK UP AFTER THE MIRROR WAS REMOVED; HOWEVER, THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT BECAME LOCKED UP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HERITAGE FORD (209-529-5110, LOCATED AT 2100 SISK RD, MODESTO, CA 95350) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT SHE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SEAT BELT REPAIR COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPAIRED THE SEAT BELT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
SIMILAR TO RECALL NUMBER: 17V210000. MY DOOR LATCHES ON THE PASSENGER AND THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR WILL NOT LATCH. THIS FIRST DOOR HAPPENED 10/16/18 AND THE SECOND TODAY 4/13/19. I HAD THE FIRST ONE FIXED AS PART OF MY WARRANTY. THE SECOND ONE JUST OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WHEN THE DOOR WAS CLOSED IT JUST WILL NOT LATCH. THE ONLY REASON I NOTICED WAS THAT THE DOOR INDICATION LIGHT SAID IT WAS OPEN. IF I HAD DRIVEN AWAY IT COULD OF CAUSED PROBLEMS.

UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND OBSERVED FLAMES BEHIND THE ENGINE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES DUE TO THE FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
POWER STEERING FAILURE MESSAGE LIT UP ON DASH WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD AT APPROX 40 MPH. POWER STEERING SEEMED FINE. AFTER PARKING THE CAR AND LEAVING IT SEVERAL HOURS, STARTED THE CAR AND MESSAGE CAME BACK AND CAR HAD NO POWER STEERING ASSIST. I WAS LUCKY THAT I WAS NOT TRAVELING DOWN HE ROAD WHEN FAILURE OCCURRED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CONTACT RECOGNIZED SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER ONTO THE SHOULDER. WHEN THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD, SOMETHING FELL FROM THE ENGINE ONTO THE GROUND AND THE ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000.
AFTER I DRIVE THE CAR, AND TURN IT OFF, THEN COME BACK 30-45 MINUTES LATER, AND START THE CAR UP, THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF OR I DRIVE IT 200FT., THE CAR SHAKES VIOLENTLY, AND THEN TURNS OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME WHILE PARKED AND WHILE MOVING IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS. THE ISSUE SEEMS TO ONLY HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY OR MOVING AT LOW SPEEDS.

THE DRIVERS SEATBELT LIGHT AND WARNING TO NOT WORK AND IT HAS TRIPPED THE AIRBAG LIGHT. YOU HAVE RECALLED SOME FORD FUSIONS FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM. YET I AM HAVING THAT EXACT PROBLEM AND YOUR SAYING IT WASN'T MY VIN. NOT QUITE GETTING WHY

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT AN UNKNOWN PIECE IN THE TRANSMISSION WAS CAUSING THE GEAR NOT TO SHIFT AND THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL OR WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. THERE ARE NUMEROUS RECALLS FOR THIS BUT APPARENTLY NOT ON THIS VIN BECAUSE IT IS A 8/2012 BUILD. BUT IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM THEY HAVE WITH OVER 400,000 OTHER FUSIONS. WE WERE TURNING AROUND IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THE STEERING SUDDENLY BECAME VERY DIFFICULT. THE LIGHT TO CHECK POWER STEERING HAD BEEN ON FOR 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE FAILURE.
MY VEHICLE HAD A RECALL ON IT IN 2016 FOR THE DOOR LATCHES NOT WORKING. THE LATCHES WERE SUPPOSEDLY ALL REPLACED AT THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THE RECALL. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2018,I OPENED MY BACK DOOR AND TRIED TO CLOSE IT AND IT WOULD NOT LATCH AGAIN. I HAD TO ROPE MY DOOR SHUT TO GET IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE SUPPOSEDLY PUT ANOTHER LATCH ON THAT DOOR. ON FRIDAY MARCH 29 I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR UNLATCHED ON ITS OWN AGAIN. I TRIED TO SHUT IT AS I WAS DRIVING AND HAD TO STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. I TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP TO ME AND THEY TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR THE RECALL. THE DEALERSHIP I GOT THE CAR AT IS TOO FAR SO I CALLED THEM TO HAVE IT TOWED THERE BUT THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE RECALL. ON THE MORNING OF APRIL 1 I SPOKE WITH FORD CUSTOMER CARE AND THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO. MY CAR IS UNDRIVEABLE AND FORD WILL NOT HELP WITH THE PROBLEM. FORD EXPECTS ME TO PAY $600 EVERY 6 MONTHS WHEN THEIR RECALLED PARTS STOPPED WORKING OR NOT DRIVE MY CAR AT ALL. MY DOOR FLUNG OPEN WHILE I WAS ON THE ROAD AND THAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS I COULD HAVE FALLEN OUT OR HIT SOMEONE AND CAUSED A WRECK.I BELIEVE IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE MY CAR IN ITS CURRENT CONDITION. MY DOOR HAS TO BE ROPED SHUT SO THAT NO ONE WILL TRY TO STEAL MY CAR OR SOMETHING OUT OF MY CAR. THE DOOR WILL NOT EVEN STAY CLOSED DUE TO THE WIND. THE RECALL MAY HAVE BEEN DONE BUT THE PROBLEM STILL REMAINS.

THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR ALL OF A SUDDEN WON'T LATCH. THERE HAVE BEEN 2 RECALLS REGARDING THE SITUATION AND I DON'T HAVE PAPER WORK BUT THEY SAID I TOOK IT IN FOR THE RECALL IN 2016. IF ANOTHER RECALL WAS ISSUED I'M 2017 REGARDING THE SAME SITUATION WHY WOULD MY REPAIR NOT BE UNDER THE RECALL?
HAVE NOT BROUGH TO DEALER YET, HOWEVER ALL MY LIGHTS LIT UP AND HAVE NOT TURNED OF SO FAR. ADVANCETRAC, BLINDSPOT, REAR CAMERA ASSIST, ABS, ETC.. BASICALLY ALL MY ASSIST HAVE COME ON. SINCE THEY HAVE COME ON MY STEERING HAS BEEN TOUGH, AS IF THE ELECTRICAL ASSIST WAS DISABLED BECAUSE ITS COMBINED WITH THE ABS SYSTEM. ACCORDING TO A YOUTUBE VIDEO POSTED ONLINE, THE PROBLEM IS A CORRODED OR MALFUNCTIONING WIRE IN THE ABS DRIVER (OR PASSENGER?) SIDE OF THE WHEEL WELL. "ISSUE WAS MY DRIVER FRONT TIRE... IT'S THE WIRE HARNESS THAT GOES BACK TO THE CPU FROM THE ABS SPEED SENSOR. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL IN MY OPINION AS A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE WHICH CAUSES ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING ASSIST TO TURN OFF MAKING IT HARDER TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL" QUOTED FROM THE YOUTUBE VIDEO. WHERE THE WIRES CONNECT OR SOMETHING ALONG THAT LINE. IT WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED IF FORD LOOKED INTO THIS AND MADE A RECALL. THIS IS NOT SAFE CONSIDERING IT DISABLES SOME (OR ALL) OF YOUR STEERING CAPABILITIES. MORE DETAIL: ALL LIGHTS HAVE LIT UP BEFORE DURING THE FIRST SNOW-FALL (BUT SHORTLY AFTER TURNED OFF). I PURCHASED THE CAR WITH 70,000 MILES ON IT, IN JULY OF 18'. IT IS NOW MARCH OF 19' AND WE'VE HAD WARM DAYS UP UNTIL TODAY, WHEN WE HAD SNOW AGAIN HERE IN CENTRAL NEW YORK. SINCE FORD WAS ALL BOOKED UP AND DONT HAVE AN OPENING TILL 3-4 WEEKS LATER SO I TOOK IT TO A SHOP THAT WOULD TAKE A LOOK AT IT THE NEXT DAY. THE SHOP TOLD ME THAT MY RACK AND PINION WAS NOT WORKING. THEY SAID WAS THE CAR IN ANY ACCIDENT OR WENT INTO ANY POTHOLES I TOLD THEM NO. BECAUSE I MAINLY DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY WHICH HAS NO POTHOLES. THE SHOP TOLD ME TO GET A NEW RACK AND PINION IT WOULD COST ME $1000 OR GET A REBUILT ONE FOR $600. SO I WENT FOR THE CHEAPER OPTION BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY FOR A NEW ONE. RIGHT NOW I'M JUST WAITING FOR THE CAR TO BE FIXED. THE CAR ONLY HAS 68000+ MILES AND ITS ALREADY BREAKING DOWN. IF THE CAR OF THAT YEAR HAS A RECALL GET THE RECALL FOR ALL OF THE CARS OF THAT YEAR NOT JUST SOME.

THE CONTACT REGAINED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND TOOK IT TO TOWN FORD LINCOLN (700 3RD ST SE, EAST WENATCHEE, WA 98802, (888) 470-0454) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
