LAST YEAR, OUR BACK PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH SHUT. WE DID A SIMPLE SEARCH AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON SOME 2013 FORD FUSIONS FOR THIS VERY ISSUE. WHEN WE TOOK IT IN TO THE FORD DEALER, THEY SAID OUR SPECIFIC VIN NUMBER WAS NOT UNDER RECALL BUT THAT IT WAS A "BROKEN PAWL SPRING TAB" WHICH RESIDES INSIDE THE CAR DOOR, THAT WAS THE ISSUE. WE PAID FOR THE REPAIR. LAST WEEK, THE VERY SAME THING HAPPENED TO THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR (DIFFERENT DOOR). BOTH TIMES IT HAPPENED AS WE WERE GETTING INTO THE CAR WHILE IT WAS STILL PARKED. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE OUR SPECIFIC VIN NUMBER WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING TO US BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUSLY DUE TO THE DEFECTIVE PART AND NOT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. WE ARE ALSO CONCERNED THAT, ACCORDING TO FORD, EVEN IF THE DOOR DOES SHUT, IT COULD COME OPEN AGAIN WITHOUT WARNING. IF WE ARE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE WITH OUR KIDS IN THE CAR AND THE DOOR COMES OPEN WITHOUT WARNING DUE TO A DEFECTIVE PART, WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD HAPPEN. SINCE THIS HAS ALREADY HAPPENED TO 2 OUT OF OUR 4 DOORS, WE CAN ONLY ASSUME IT WILL HAPPEN TO THE OTHER 2 DOORS. PASSENGER DOOR LATCH LET GO DURING ON RAMP CORNERING RESULTING IN PASSENGER DOOR TO FLY OPEN UNEXPECTEDLY. THIS LATCH WAS REPLACED BY FORD DURING A PREVIOUS RECALL A YEAR AGO.
THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR CAME UNLATCHED WHILE THE CAR WAS IN MOTION WITH A PASSENGER SITTING ON THAT SIDE AND TWO PEOPLE IN THE BACK SEAT. THE DOOR DOES NOT STAY SHUT AND ONE PERSON HAD TO DRIVE IT BACK HOME ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE THE OTHER PERSON MANUALLY TRIED THEIR BEST TO HOLD THE DOOR SHUT THE WHOLE TIME. PASSENGERS WERE UNINJURED AND GOT LUCKY THAT THERE WASN'T ANOTHER CAR IN THE LANE NEXT TO IT WHILE THIS HAPPENED. CALLED NORTH CENTRAL FORD DEALERSHIP IN RICHARDSON,TX AS WELL AS FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND NEITHER PARTIES ARE WILLING TO HELP UNLESS WE PAY FOR THE DOOR OUT OF POCKET AS THEY CLAIMED THIS SPECIFIC CAR WAS NOT PART OF ALL THE RECALLS THAT SIMILAR FUSION'S AND FOCUS'S HAVE BEEN HAVING. THIS FAMILY ALSO OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS THAT SAME THING HAPPENED AND WAS PART OF THE RECALL AND DOOR WAS REPLACED BY FORD. FORD REFUSES TO UNDERSTAND AND COMPREHEND THE SEVERITY OF THIS LIFE THREATENING ISSUE AND HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS SO THAT THEY CAN SAVE MONEY. OUR LIVES WERE IN DANGER AND IT'S NOT A MATTER THAT NEEDS TO WAIT TILL MORE PEOPLE DIE FOR IT TO BE RECALLED. IT'S BEEN 4 DAYS AND FORD GAVE US A CASE NUMBER AND SAID THEY WILL LOOK INTO IT AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE A CAR OR A SOLUTION AND THIS CAR IS STILL IN THE HOUSE GARAGE.
STEERING WHEEL BOLT HAS COME LOOSE AND STARTED TO SHAKE
WHILE I STARTED REVERSING TOWARDS MY DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE MY VEHICLE GOT COMPLETELY PARALYZED AS I CHANGED GEARS FROM DRIVE TO REVERSE, MY STEERING WHEEL, BRAKES AND SHIFT GEAR STOPED RESPONDING, I MANAGED TO CAREFULLY MOVE MY CAR TO A SAFETY LOCATION BUT I WAS IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN I HAD TO LET MY CAR SLIDE DOWN THE ROAD OF MY HOUSE IN ORDER TO LET THE TRAFFIC (I HAD UNINTENTIONALLY CAUSED) CARRY ON. I THEN, PUT MY CARS EMERGENCY BRAKE ON AND CALLED MY MECHANIC. LUCKILY FOR ME, THIS ALL HAPPEN INFRONT OF MY HOUSE, ACTUALLY, AFTER THE 2 HOUR DRIVE I HAD FINISHED COMING FROM, MY CONCERNS ARE WHAT IF THIS INCIDENT WOULD HAVE HAPPEN OUTSIDE OF MY TOWN, OR IN THE HIGHWAY, MY SAFETY AND EVEN MY OWN LIFE WAS ON THE LINE FOR A FEW MINUTES, I CAN ONLY BE LUCKY FOR SO LONG. A COUPLE DAYS AFTER, I CAME TO FIND OUT I DID NOT HAVE ONE RECALL INCOMPLETE BUT 3!, EVEN MORE SHOCKING, I DID NOT RECEIVE NOTICES FOR ANY OF THE 3 RECALLS FROM MY CARS DEALERSHIP. I WENT TO THEM IMMEDIATELY AND NOW AM WAITING FOR THEM TO CALL ME BACK TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT I BEEN TRYING TO MAKE ALREADY FOR THE PAST WEEK BUT TILL TODAY, I HAVE YET NOT RECEIVED A DATE.
I was traveling with my family and a light came on the dash. I pulled over to check my manual and it said it was a power steering fault. Once I started my car again the power steering was completely gone and I had to drive 10 hours back home with no power steering which was extremely hard for someone who has never driven a vehicle like that. I seen online there was a recall for 23 ford fusions but of course mine isn’t on the list. I found 177 complaints on this and I don’t understand why this is not a recall. If this had happened while driving I could have been seriously injured or killed or harmed another life. Please take that into consideration!

CHAMPION FORD LINCOLN (140 SOUTHTOWN BLVD, OWENSBORO, KY 42303, (270) 684-1441) INDICATED THAT THE RECALL REMEDY FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V209000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) WAS PROVIDED IN MAY OF 2015; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE AS LISTED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE RECALL REMEDY HAD BEEN PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
RECALL # 15S16 ON MY 2013 FORD FUSION TITANIUM VIN # [XXX] FOR DOOR SAFETY LATCH REPLACEMENT. FORD MARKED THIS "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL JUNE 2016" ON JAN 13, 2018 I TOOK MY ABOVE MENTIONED VEHICLE TO GIBBONS FORD 704 MARTIN F. GIBBONS BLVD, DICKSON CITY PA 18519 SERVICE ADVISOR WAS 128 [XXX]. MY MILEAGE WAS 52616 UPON DROP OFF. UPON PICK UP I WAS INFORMED TECH VERIFIED RECALLS AND TECH VERIFIED PROPER OPERATION AS PER RECALL 15S14. H DOOR LATCH REPLACEMENT ALL OPEN RECALLS BE. ON APPROXIMATELY 07/19/19 WHILE ENROUTE TO WORK MY FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR FLUNG OPEN WITH GREAT FORCE THAT STARTLED ME. I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TRIED TO SECURE THE DOOR BUT THE DOOR BOUNCED BACK OPEN. ONCE AGAIN I TRIED TO SECURE THE DOOR AND IT FAILED TO SECURE. THE VEHICLE DOOR WAS SECURED USING ROPE THAT WAS TIED AROUND THE DOOR FRAME FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR TO THE FRAME OF THE BACK PASSENGER DOOR. SKIP AHEAD TO 08/06/19 THE EARLIEST DAY COCCIA FORD 577 E. MAIN ST WILKES-BARRE PA 18702 COULD LOOK AT THE VEHICLE TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. MILEAGE DROPPED OFF AT 66098. SKIP AHEAD 08/07/19 SERVICE MANAGER FRANK DOMINICK STATES ON MY PAPERWORK THAT RF DOOR LATCH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. FRANK [XXX] ALSO STATES THAT VEHICLE DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE DOOR LATCH RECALL. HE THEN STATES NO TSB'S OR SSM'S FOUND FOR THIS CONCERN. THE PART THAT WAS PUT ON MY VEHICLE BY COCCIA WAS BE8Z 5421812B DESCRIPTION LATCH $158.55 I WAS THEN CHARGED FOR LABOR $104.95 THE LINE TOTAL WAS $263.50. I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE OTHER THAN TO PAY THIS VERY STEEP BILL. I PAID AND OBTAINED THE DEFECTED PART. I THE CUSTOMER TRIED TO PLEA MY CASE SEVERAL TIMES TO COCCIA FORD AND FORD SERVICE. I ASKED SEVERAL TIMES UPON MULTIPLE CALLS TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR. FORD SERVICE FAILED TO CONNECT ME TO A SUPERVISOR EACH AND EVERY CALL. PASSENGER DOOR CAME OPEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, WILL NOT LATCH. FORD WILL NOT TOW THE VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED, WILL NOT OFFER US A LOANER VEHICLE. I HAVE ROPE HOLDING THE DOOR CLOSED.
I HAD A RECALL DONE FOR MY ENGINE OVERHEATING. NOW MY ENGINE IS BLOWN AND WORTHLESS AND I FEEL THIS IS DUE TO A FAULTY PART PUT IN TO FIX THE OVERHEATING PROBLEM IN MY ENGINE.
I HAD THE RECALL DONE ON MY VEHICLE AND NOW I HAVE TO FILL THE COOLANT EVERY TWO WEEKS, ITS CAUSING MY CAR TO OVERHEAT. THEY WILL NOT LOOK AT IT, OR FIX THE ISSUE THEY CREATED. THEY AS WELL REPLACED A PIECE OF THE HEAD GASKET IN WHICH MAY BE A SOURCE OF IT. IT'S BEGAN THE OVERHEATING ISSUE, WHAT MORE IS GOING TO OCCUR?
SHIFTER CABLE RECALL ON THE 2013 FORD FUSION. THAT EXACT PROBLEM IS WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY CAR, WHILE INITIALLY IN DRIVE, THE SHIFTER CABLE BROKE AND CHANGED GEAR BY ITSELF. THE DEALER IS REFUSING TO LOOK AT IT AND FIX IT IN A TIMELY MANNER (ROUSH FORD, COLUMBUS, OHIO 888-380-0264)
PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LATCH BROKE AND FLEW OPEN ON HIGHWAY EXPELLING CONTENTS OF PASSENGER SEAT ONTO BUSY HIGHWAY. DEALER STATED THAT THE SAFETY RECALL FOR THE DEFECTIVE DOOR LATCH WAS ALREADY PERFORMED ON VEHICLE IN 8/2017. THAT THEY "FORD" ONLY WARANTEES PARTS REPLACED BY A SAFETY RECALL FOR 1 YEAR OR 12,000 MILES, SO I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR AS IT IS NOW SIMPLY A MAINTENANCE ISSUE. WHEN I ORIGINALLY CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THE GUYS ASKED ME IF I HAD ALREADY HAD THE RECALL PERFORMED. I TOLD HIM TO CHECK THE COMPUTER AND SEE, THAT I ONLY BRING MY VEHICLE TO THEM, WHILE HE WAS LOOKING HE MENTIONED THAT THEY HAVE BEEN STARTING TO SEE VEHICLES COMING IN AGAIN FOR THE SAME REPAIR EVEN AFTER THE RECALL. LATER HE DENIED EVER SAYING THAT ME. SO WHAT IS THERE TO STOP COMPANIES LIKE FORD FROM REPLACING A PART RECALLED FOR SAFETY REASONS, WITH ANOTHER DEFECTIVE PART AND THEN SIMPLY STATING THAT THE WARANTEE ON THE NEW PART IS ONLY 12 MONTHS. THIS MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE TO ME, IS THERE SUCH A THING AS A SAFETY RECALL ON THE SAFETY RECALL OR IS I GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS AND MY LIABILITY IS GONE? HOW AM I TO KNOW IF THE DEALER EVEN DID THE RECALL IN THE FIRST PLACE AND NOT JUST MARKED IT COMPLETE? WHAT ARE THE ODDS THAT THE EXACT PART THAT WAS DEFECTIVE AND RECALLED AND REPLACED WOULD FAIL AGAIN FOR THE EXACT SAME THING IT WAS RECALLED FOR TO BEGIN WITH? TRIED FORD NOT JUST DEALER AND GOT THE SAME RESPONSE ON THE 12 MONTHS OR 12,000 MILES RESPONSE.
AFTER I FILL THE GAS TANK AND PARK MY CAR IN THE GARAGE, I CAN SMELL GAS. AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN A FEW MILES THE SMELL GOES AWAY. THE SMELL IS ONLY PRESENT RIGHT AFTER I FILL THE TANK UP UNTIL THE FUEL LEVEL DROPS DOWN FROM FULL. THIS ONLY STARTED ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO BUT HAS BEEN PRESENT EVERY TIME THE TANK HAS BEEN FILLED SINCE THEN. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM (13S04) SO I CALLED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER TO TRY TO GET IT FIXED UNDER THE RECALL. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. I AM PRETTY SURE THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE THAT THE RECALL WAS CREATED TO FIX SO I THINK THAT FORD SHOULD RE-LOOK AT WHAT CARS THEY ARE WILLING TO REPAIR. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THEY EASILY COULD HAVE OVERLOOKED SOME CARS THAT HAD THAT PROBLEM.
THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH FAILED AND THE DOOR CAME OPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT THE TIME THIS HAPPENED. I WAS ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET AT THE TIME. IF I HAD BEEN ON AN INTERSTATE OR HIGHWAY, THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A VERY UNSAFE SITUATION. APPARENTLY THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE IN 2015 (RECALL # 15S16) . FORD SAYS THE RECALL WAS COMPLETED ON IT IN NOVEMBER 2015. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED IN MAY OF 2016.*DT*JB
I RETURNED TO MY PARK CAR OPENED AND SHUT MY FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, THEN OPENED THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR TO RESTRAIN MY GRAND CHILDREN IN THERE CAR SEAT AND THEN WALKED AROUND GOT IN THE DRIVER SIDE AND STARTED MY VEHICLE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AJARD LIGHT INDICATOR CAME ON. I REACH OVER AND PUSHED ON THE DOOR AND IT WAS NOT LATCHED. I GOT OUT AND WENT TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER AND REALIZE IT WOULD NOT LATCH.IT LOOKED AS THOUGH IT WAS SHUT THOUGH IT WAS NOT. HAD TO CALL MY HUSBAND TO COME AND CHECK IT OUT THEN WE HAD TO USE A BUNGEE CORD TO HOLD IT SHUT. I CALLED SERVICE AND HAD THEM TO CHECK IT OUT 7/17/2019 THEY INFORMED ME IT WAS THE SAME PROBLEM THEY HAD BEEN HAVING WITH THE DOOR LATCH RECALL THOUGH MY VIN WAS NOT LISTED. THEY REPORTED IT TO FORD AND FORD STILL DID NOT WANT TO COVER THE EXPENSE OR COVER IT IN THE RECALL BECAUSE I HAD OVER 150,000 THOUSAND MILES AND NO EXTENDED WARRANTY. THIS IS A ONE OWNER CALL. THIS SAFETY ISSUE SHOULD BE COVERED AND ALL MY DOOR LATCHES SHOULD BE REPLACED AT NOT COST TO ME. I DID OPEN A CAS NUMBER WITH FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONS THOUGH THEY DIDN'T SEEM TOO CONCERNED, WHAT DOES MY MILEAGE OR WARRANTY HAVE TO DO WITH A UNSAFE DEFECTIVE PART THAT FORD IS AWARE OF? *DT *TP
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE DID NOT PASS INSPECTION. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED FOR HER SAFETY THAT THE AIR BAG MIGHT NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. HERB CHAMBERS FORD OF BRAINTREE (75 GRANITE STREET, RTE 37, BRAINTREE, MA 02184, (781) 848-1350) WAS CALLED AND A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V597000 (AIR BAGS), BUT SHE NEVER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,175.

THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND IT WAS LATER TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACED AN UNKNOWN SENSOR. THE CONTACT LATER FOUND OUT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V551000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO CONFIRMED THE RECALL AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO SEND THEM THE REPAIR RECEIPT. THE CONTACT SENT THE RECEIPT AND RECEIVED REIMBURSEMENT. A WEEK AGO, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND TRANSFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING ONTO THE DRIVEWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V362000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT CALLED THE FORD MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A TRANSMISSION RECALL AND DISCONNECTED THE CALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BUSHING CABLE FRACTURED AS SHE ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT THE GEAR FROM REVERSE INTO DRIVE. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT HAD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE BACKWARDS. THE CONTACT CALLED ELK GROVE FORD AT 916-249-1630 (LOCATED AT 9645 AUTO CENTER DR, ELK GROVE, CA 95757) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,000.
I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE PAINT IN-BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND THE ROOFLINE. I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS IN OTHER CARS AND IT GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BARE METAL. THIS IS NOT CAUSED BY ROCKS AND OTHER STUFF FLYING UP FROM THE ROAD. I AM NOT SURE WHEN IT STARTED. I JUST NOTICED IT OVER TIME AND SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT THEY THOUGHT IT WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT.

YESTERDAY ON JULY 2ND, 2019 I PICKED MY FRIEND UP FROM THE AIRPORT. AS WE WERE DRIVING HOME THE DOOR LITERALLY UNLATCHED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE DOOR WOULDN'T CLOSE. IT WAS LIKE A MALFUNCTION. THE RECALL WAS ISSUED IN MAY AND THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY BUT TGE DEALERSHIP INSISTED THAT I PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A TEMPORARY FIX THEN BE REIMBURSED LATER....IF THERE WAS ANY KIND OF FIX EVEN A TEMPORARY ONE MY VEHICLE SHOULDVE JUST BEEN FIXED. I NOTICED WITHIN THE LAST WEEK NOT ONLY WAS THE ENGINE LIGHT ON BUT AS I WAS DRIVING THE CAR BEGAN TO SUDDENLY JERK AND START TO OVERHEAT . I CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY TOLD ME THE RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE FOR THIS WAS RESOLVED AND COMPLETED TWICE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS... OBVIOUSLY NOT. I WENT TO PICK UP MY CAR FROM THE SERVICE AND NOTICED IT WAS JUST SITTING IN THE FRONT OUTSIDE OF THE SERVICE SO I WENT TO FIND SOMEONE FOR THE KEYS. MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT START SO THEY HAD TO GIVE ME A JUMP. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER BECAUSE MY VEHICLE HAS NO PROBLEMS STARTING WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF THAT MORNING. SO THE MANAGER CAME BACK AFTER A WHILE TALKING TO THE MECHANIC WORKING ON MY VEHICLE AND SAID "THEY HAD TO JUMP IT A FEW TIMES BECAUSE IT KEPT TURNING OFF". SO NOW I'M UPSET BECAUSE HE'S TELLING ME WHOEVER INSTALLED IT PUT IN A SMALLER ONE THAN THE ONE THAT SHOULD BE THERE. I TOLD HIM THAT'S FUNNY BECAUSE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE HERE LESS THAN TWO YEARS AGO AND IT HASN'T BEEN CHANGED SINCE. THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO ADDRESS RECALL 18S24 BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE THE CHARGING CABLE INSIDE THE VEHICLE. I SPOKE WITH SERVICE STAFF ON 3 OCCASIONS PRIOR TO PICKING UP MY VEHICLE AND AT NO TIME DID THEY REQUEST OR INFORM ME TO BRING THE CABLE TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP MADE NO EFFORT TO REPLACE THE CORD, THERMISTOR OR TRUNK BATTERY HOUSING AS REQUIRED.

THE CONTACT PAID TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME FAILURE ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND AGREED TO PAY 50% TOWARDS THE COST OF A NEW MOTOR. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THEY COULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE FAILURE WOULD NOT RECUR DESPITE HAVING A NEW MOTOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
