THIS VEHICLE HAS A NOISE IN THE TRANSMISSION WHEN YOU ACCELERATE OR USE THE GAS. THE NOISE IS GETTING INCREASINGLY LOUDER AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THESE HYBRID FORD FUSIONS. IT ONLY HAS 115,000 MILES.
PARKED VEHICLE. OPENED REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR TO REMOVE ITEMS. CLOSE DOOR, AND WOULD NOT LATCH. MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO CLOSE AND LATCH. STILL WOULD NOT SECURE CLOSED. HAD A INDEPENDENT GARAGE REPAIR UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY.
DOOR LATCH BROKEN, PREVENTS DOOR FROM LOCKING CLOSED EVEN WHILE DRIVING.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED, SHIFTED GEARS, AND JERKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO RANDALL REED'S PRESTIGE FORD (3601 S SHILOH RD, GARLAND, TX 75041) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS NOT RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT WAS UPSET THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 280,000.
I DON'T KNOW IF I'M THE CORRECT SITE BUT I AM VERY CONCERNED WITH MY DEFROSTER ON MY WINDSHIELD. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I'M DRIVING THAT THE VISIBILITY ON MY WINDSHIELD IS EXTREMELY POOR; CAN BARELY SEE OUT OF THE WINDOW. I TRY MANY VARIABLES TO REMEDY IT, AC, HEAT, HIGH, LOW ETC. NOTHING WORKS TO REMEDY AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS.

I HAVE LOST ABILITY TO ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 40 MPH ON I-20, A 70MPH ROAD SYSTEM, CAR JOLTS OR JUMPS EVEN WITHOUT FOOT ON ACCELERATOR SO THAT I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE CAR'S ACCELERATION. GAS GAUGE JUMPS WILDLY AND RANDOMLY FROM 22 MPG TO 99 MPG. BRAKE LIGHTS AND OTHER LIGHTING SYSTEMS REMAIN ON WHEN CAR IS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AND HEADLIGHTS AND INTERIOR LIGHTS ARE TURNED TO OFF POSITION. ADDITIONALLY, AFTER THE CAR IS IN PARK AND TURNED OFF, VEHICLE WILL JUMP FORWARD SEVERAL INCHES. SEVERAL ADDITIONAL INCONSISTENT LIGHT ISSUES WHEN CAR IS TURNED ON AND OFF. PASSENGER SEATBELT DOES NOT WORK. PROBLEMS BEGAN 2018 AND CONTINUE TO PRESENT DAY. LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP UNCONCERNED AND UNHELPFUL IN PRIORITIZING THE REPAIRS AFTER MULTIPLE CALLS AND DIRECT DISCUSSION WITH SERVICE MANAGER.
CAR HAS LIMITED POWER AND ACCELERATION. HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING. WHEN CLIMBING A HILL, TRANSMISSION WONT DOWNSHIFT PROPERLY. WHEN MANEUVERING "S" CURVES YOU CAN FEEL RESISTANCE IN THE STEERING. THERE IS A WRENCH LIGHT FOR THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM THAT CANT BE LOCATED.
THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM SHUTS OFF AND STAYS OFF FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME, MEANING THERE IS NO FUNCTIONING AIR CONDITIONING IN VEHICLE. IT'S BEEN OFF FOR ALMOST A WEEK NOW FOR ME. IT'S OFF WHEN IT'S STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. THE PROBLEM ISN'T WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER ITSELF AS IT'LL SOMETIME COME ON AND REMAIN ON FOR A LONG DURATION. THE VOLUME KNOB ALSO BECOMES INOPERABLE. SOME DRIVERS OF THIS VEHICLE WEREN'T ABLE TO OPERATE THEIR WINDOWS AS WELL WHEN THE CLIMATE SYSTEM SHUT OFF SO I BELIEVE IT'S FAULTY WIRING SOMEWHERE. WE ALREADY KNOW WHY THIS IS DANGEROUS. WE CAN DIE OF HEAT EXHAUSTION ESPECIALLY SINCE I'M EXPERIENCING 100 DEGREE WEATHER RIGHT NOW. SECONDLY, WHEN IT RAINS, THE INTERIOR FOGS UP MAKING IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
'TAKATA RECALL' I HAVE A 2014 FORD FUSION.ONE DAY WHILE DRIVING SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC AND POWER STEERING FAILURE WARNING COME ON AND MY STEERING WHEEL TIGHTEN UP ALMOST CAUSING ME TO CRASH I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THIS OROBLEM HAPPENTO A LOT OF FORD VEHICLES AND THAT IT WOULD COST ME 2600 DOLLARS TO FIX I WAS IN TOTAL DISBELIEF BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD THAT WHEN REACHING OUT TO FORD THEY WEREN'T ANY HELP AS WELL THEY STATED THAT BEING THAT I WAS OUT OF MY WARRANTY THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO I'M UNABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR NOW GET MY KIDS TO SCHOOL OR EVEN GO TO WORK BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE
ME AND MANY OTHERS THAT HAVE THE 1.5 ENGINES HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE SAFETY RECALL 18S20 ' SHIFT CABLE BUSHING REPLACEMENT. THIS IS THE SAME PART WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY ARE OUR VEHICLES NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL? I CAN'T EVEN FIND CORRECT PART FOR REPLACEMENT. MY CAR HAS LOST PROPULSION AFTER PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC ON I-65 IN BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA, NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY CONSUMER THAT HAS THIS SAME COMPLAINT. FORD SHOULD AT THE MINIMUM OFFER THE PART FOR REPLACEMENT. I'VE BEEN HAVING TO DRIVE LIKE THIS FOR A YEAR NOW.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED THE SAME INFORMATION. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO DENIED A REQUEST FOR A LOANER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL: THE CAR IS STALLING WHILE I AM IN DRIVE, WITH SPEEDS UP TO 70 MPH. IT ALSO WILL NOT START AFTER I HAVE PUT GAS IN THE TANK. I HAVE TO STEP ON THE GAS TO GWT IT TO START. THE CAR IS ALSO SHAKING BACK AND FORTH WHILE IN PARK JUST TRYING TO STAY STARTED. THEN IT WILL DIE. EVERYTIME I COME TO A STOPLIGHT OR A STOP SIGN I GO THROUGH THIS AND HAVE GREAT DIFFICULTY STARTING IT BACK UP CONTINUOUSLY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BARKHOUSER FORD (3604 RIVERSIDE DRIVE, DANVILLE, VA 24541, 434-793-1112) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LATCH WAS FAULTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
THE VEHICLE WAS SITTING ABOUT 24 HOURS AND I GO TO GET IN IT TO GO TO WORK AND IT DOESN'T IMMEDIATELY START LIKE IT NORMALLY DOES, ONCE IT STARTED THE SERVICE BRAKE LIGHT WAS NOW ON ALONG WITH THE MAINTENANCE WRENCH AND MY BRAKES WERE PRACTICALLY NON EXISTENT SINCE I DON'T LIVE FAR I DROVE IT TO THE DEALER WITH A ESCORT VEHICLE JUST IN CASE AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY RETESTED AND IS NOW BEING SENT TO THE MANUFACTURER DEALER TO HAVE SOMETHING WITH THE HYBRID SYSTEM SERVICED WILL UPDATE WITH MORE DETAIL WHEN RECEIVED.
I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE AND THEN STOPPED AND TRY TO PUT IT IN DRIVE, I THEN REALIZED THE CAR WAS STILL IN REVERSE. THE GEAR LET ME SHIFT INTO PARK, BUT THE CAR ITSELF WAS STILL IN REVERSE. I HAD TO KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND PUT MY PARKING BRAKE ON. THE GEAR IS STUCK IN PARK AND WILL NOT SHIFT BUT THE DISPLAY ON THE DASH SAYS REVERSE. MY CAR WILL TURN ON, BUT WILL NOT START. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS I LOST POWER STEERING AND HAD TO FIGHT TO GET THE CAR SAFELY OFF OF THE ROAD. THE CAR SHOWED A STEERING ASSIST FAULT AS WELL AS HILL START ASSIST, ACTIVETRAC AND COLLISION WARNINGS ALL BEING UNAVAILABLE. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY SAID IT WAS NOT UNDER A RECALL OR COVERED BY WARRANTY.
MY 2014 FORD FUSION WITH 54,000 MILES HAS AN ENGINE PROBLEM. SOMEHOW THE COOLANT/ANTI-FREEZE WAS ALLOWED TO LEAK INTO THE ENGINE. INITIALLY I SENT IT TO FORD OF WAXAHACHIE, TX WHEN THE LIGHT FIRST CAME ON. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS LOW COOLANT AND SENT MY CAR HOME. 5 DAYS LATER I'M 20 MILES FROM HOME AND IT OVERHEATS AGAIN AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. THE COOLANT CONTINUED TO GET INTO THE ENGINE THROUGH WARPED GASKET OR CYLINDER AND THIS TIME IT RUINED MY ENGINE. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE FORD AND THEY DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANY OF THE BLAME ON THE MISDIAGNOSIS. INSTEAD THEY PREFER I PAY $6,000 FOR A NEW ENGINE.

THE PURGE VALVE WENT OUT ON MY CAR AFTER NEVER HAVING ANY PERFORMANCE OR EMISSIONS RELATED ISSUES. UPON RESEARCHING, IT SEEMS TO BE RATHER COMMON IN FORD FUSIONS. IS THERE A RECALL REVIEW WARRANTED AT THIS TIME? I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND STARTED HEARING A LOUD HUMMING, VIBRATING SOUND COMING FROM MY GAS TANK / GAS CAP AREA. IT CONTINUED TO HUM EVERY 15 SECONDS OR SO OVER THE NEXT 20 MINUTES UNTIL I ARRIVED AT WORK. THERE WERE NO OTHER ISSUES AND MY CAR SEEMED TO RUN JUST FINE. THIS IS, HOWEVER, AN EMISSIONS CONCERN AND SEEMS TO BE COMMON IN FORD FUSION FORUMS. PLEASE INVESTIGATE FOR A RECALL ALERT.

ELECTRIC POWER STEERING RACK FAILED AND POWER STEERING LOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING AT NORMAL SPEEDS. ADVANCETRAC LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL AND HILL ASSIST LIGHTS SHOW ON DASHBOARD.
BOTH MY REAR DOOR LATCHES HAVE FAILED CAUSING THE DOOR TO BE UNABLE TO BE CLOSED SHUT, AND THIS HAS HAPPENED SUDDENLY ONCE WITH MY SON IN THE BACK SEAT NEXT TO THE DOOR. THE DOOR BECOMES UNABLE TO BE CLOSED AND WILL SWING OPEN UPON TURNS ETC. THIS WAS A MAJOR RECALL OF SIMILAR FORD FUSION MODELS IN THE 2014 MANUFACTURER YEAR FOR SOME REASON MY VIN DID NOT POP UP FOR THIS PARTICULAR RECALL BUT CLEARLY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AND NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THIS EXISTING RECALL SO I CAN GET THIS RESOLVED BY THE COMPANY.

THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING NEEDED REPLACEMENT AT 69K MILES.THE 2013 FORD FUSIONS HAD A POWER STEERING RECALL BUT THE 2014 DID NOT.
GAS TANK MAKES A LOUD TAPPING NOISE AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN THE GAS TANK IS OVER 3/4 FULL.
POWER STEERING ASSIST DISABLED WHILE DRIVING AT 65MPH ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENT DUE TO THE FACT THAT STEERING THE VEHICLE BECAME VERY DIFFICULT.

SO FAR IT HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHILE TURNING A CORNER. I AM WORRIED ABOUT WRECKING MY CAR. THIS RECALL CAME OUT ON JULY 17TH, 2018 AND I BOUGHT MY CAR SEPTEMBER 21, 2018. SO I NEVER RECEIVED THE RECALL IN THE MAIL. I LOOKED UP RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE AND FOUND THIS. EVEN THOUGH IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I BOUGHT MY CAR, AM I STILL QUALIFIED FOR MY CAR TO GET FIXED WITH NO CHARGE TO ME?.

IF THE CAR MOVES FOR MORE THEN 1.5 HOURS STRAIGHT IT COMES ON. THE WARNING LIGHT FLICKERS UP AND DOWN BECAUSE OF THE TEMPERATURE. THE TEMPERATURE GAGE IN THE CAR WILL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP AND DROP BACK DOWN REAL QUICK.

WITHIN 3 WEEKS EXACT SAME ISSUE AGAIN ON INTERSTATE. BRAKES NEARLY USELESS TO BRING CAR TO A STOP, LOSS OF POWER. HAD TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED TO GET IT HOME. CALLED TO QUESTION WARRANTY ON FORD VACUUM PUMP - INFORMED VACUUM PUMP IS ON "NATIONAL BACKORDER" AND CAN'T EVEN BE GIVEN AN APPROXIMATE DATE AS TO WHEN A NEW PART WILL BE AVAILABLE. MAYBE IT'S TIME FOR A RECALL???
2014 FORD FUSION TITANIUM POWER STEERING FAILURE AT ONLY 34,000 MILES. POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON: SERVICE ADVANCE TRACK, POWER STEERING FAULT, LANE KEEPING ASSIST FAULT. REGAINED POWER STEERING AFTER RESTARTING CAR BUT THIS HAPPENED THREE TIMES IN THREE DAYS SO I TOOK IT TO DEALER FOR REPAIR. REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF ENTIRE POWER STEERING RACK AND REALIGNMENT. TOTAL COST TO ME WAS $2200. I HAVE NOTIFIED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE OF THE ISSUE, BUT OF COURSE, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN YET. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AS THE CAR WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER, ESPECIALLY AT LOWER SPEEDS. BASED ON WHAT I HAVE READ FROM OTHER CONSUMERS ON THE INTERNET, THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT FOR THIS MODEL YEAR EVEN THOUGH A RECALL HAS NOT YET BEEN ISSUED.
SEPTEMBER 2018 AT 75382 MILES FRONT LEFT BREAK HOSE RUPTURED CAUSING COMPLETE BREAK FAILURE IN JUNE 2019 AT 84143 MILES RIGHT SIDE BREAK HOSE FAILURE, CAUSING COMPLETE BREAK FAILURE. EACH TIME WAS THE SAME I PULLED OUT OF A PARKING SPOT PULLED UP TO THE EXIT AND WHILE HOLDING FOOT ON BREAK PEDDLE WENT TO FLOOR AND HAD NO BREAKS. CAR HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. BOTH INSTANCES CAR LOST ALL BREAK FLUID . I ASKED FOR THE HOSE THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED HOSE IS RUPTURED.
