Driving down the road and the trunk popped open on its own. It has happened multiple times while driving. The trunk will just open up on its own without pushing the button or anything.
I currently have no open recalls on my vehicle however I feel as though my vehicle is apart of the the national recall involving the steer column. My vehicle jerks at high speeds randomly and I sometimes lose control. This issue has been seen by multiple mechanics and they’ve done numerous inspections but can’t find the problem. They only tell me they think it may fix the issue but none are certain. I’ve gotten two wheel alignments within a year and each time I’m recommended a wheel alignment by a different mechanic. I’ve bought several tires of this issue because the wear on my tires keeps wearing out and causing my tires to blow out. I believe it involves the national recall.
Around [XXX], I began experiencing issues with the electric power steering system in my 2014 Ford Fusion. The steering became noticeably stiff and difficult to turn, especially at low speeds. A warning message appeared on the dashboard — something like “Service Trac” or a similar alert. Despite the warning and steering difficulty, I was able to continue driving the vehicle for about a week, but it became increasingly unsafe and physically demanding to steer. The vehicle has approximately 138,000 miles and was purchased from a dealership in Michigan just a few months ago. The issue has not been inspected by a Ford dealer, but an independent service center diagnosed the problem as a failure of the electric power steering system. I was quoted $2,400 for a new part or around $1,000 for a used one, not including labor. I checked my VIN using Ford’s official site and confirmed there are no open recalls or Customer Satisfaction Programs for the steering system on this vehicle. However, this issue appears to match the symptoms described in Ford recall 19V632000, which applies to some 2014 Fusions with the same steering design. My vehicle appears to be excluded from that recall. Given the widespread nature of this defect and the serious safety risk it poses, I believe the recall should be expanded to include more affected VINs. This failure could easily result in loss of control at higher speeds and represents a hazard to both occupants and others on the road. Nothing on my steering wheel that controls dash works
While driving on highway, my 2014 Ford Fusion suddenly reported loss steering power and it was requiring a greater steering effort to make a small turn. I have to stop unexpectedly on highway. This incident reminded me that a day or two, I started to feel some roughness while turning in low speed locally. But it didn't affect driving.

Brake lights stay on even after turning off car. According to my research the problem is a brake pedal bumper that deteriorated. I actually found the rubber piece on the floor. Prior to finding out my brakes remained on, the red engine light turned on. I checked recalls for this problem, and there was one, but it was only valid for high humidity States. I live in California so I didn't qualify. Now, due to not knowing what the red light was about, and it being smog time, I cleared the engine light. Well, I didn't know that disqualifies my smog test because other codes were erased.now I have a car that is battery disconnect since I can't drive it due to not smog certified. All because of a rubber brake part falling off. I?called my dealer if it was covered by recall, they said no, even though there IS a recall for humid areas. I don't live in a humid area. So my case shows that it DOES NOT have to be humidity related. It's just a cheap quality part. I'm hoping this changes to include ALL areas. Thank you.
The rear view mirror and side mirrors become dark after the sun sets and it becomes extremely hard and dangerous to judge vehicles behind you as you try to merge onto any road that has moving traffic.
The transmission is idle high and hard and yes it is available for inspection My safety and the safety of other is the car jerks and it accelerate unvoluntary Yes it was confirmed by a certified mechanic No it have not been inspected my manufacturer or others No there is no warning lights or messages that prior to failure
Vehicle flexplate broke causing loss of power in rush hour traffic. Luckily was able to get to the side of the road without major incident or causing an accident. Broken flexplate also caused damage to transmission and ptu. Was informed this is a common issue wiith this yeat make and model but ford refuses to do anything about it. They would rather wait for some peopke to lose their life befor takiing responsibility. But who cares about peoples lives when you have stockholders to pay and ceo bonuses to hand out. Feel its worth mentioning i had the car at the dealership a couple times for other issues and had asked them about problems i suspected were precursors to this happening. They denied there was even an issue. They they told me the noises were normal and refused to even document my concerns let alone actually physically check the vehicle. I believe they were intentionally trying to hide the fact they knew exactly what was going on. Ford needs to take responsibility but since they wont you guys need to make them.
I was having issues with this vehicle sputtering a bit and the antifreeze was seeming to be disappearing. There were no visible leaks. I took it to the shop to have it looked at. The engine light was on and there was a code for a cylinder 3 misfire. Th mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and, upon removing the spark plugs, noticed they were fouled with what he said was antifreeze in the cylinder (because of the white substance on the electrode end). I saw where there is a recall for the particular engine block that is in this vehicle from 2014 to 2020. When I notified Ford and the NHTSA I was told that my VIN number was not included in the recall. I am confused because I would think that the recall would be for vehicles with this particular block not specific VIN numbers. Please help! I just got this car hoping for a reliable vehicle. I am a grad student and I do not have the funds for such a big repair.

While the car was moving in reverse, the brake pedal went to the floor, and the driving had to steer off the road and hit a tree to stop the vehicle. The driver side door and front door was damaged in the collision. After the collision, the driver noticed the parking brake indicator light was on.
My rear camera on my 2014 Ford Fusion just stopped working on it's own (noticed on [XXX]). I then researched and found a recall; however, the recall is VIN specific and does not include my vehicle. Experiencing repeated coolant leaks. Heating/coolant was repaired last winter. Failed again this winter. Car keeps needing additional coolant added. Will be taking it in on Monday to find out which parts failed this time.
The rear view camera on my Ford Fusion has been not working. A couple months ago it was off and on when it did not work. When it was too hot the camera would not work and have an error that says to go to a dealership. I dealt with it because it was every once in a while, but now it never works. I went to my local mechanic and he did not know what was causing the problem. I saw that multiple Ford cars, including Fusions, are under recall for what appears to be the same issue I am dealing with. I think the recall should be extended to more model years since it seems to me there are more cars with the problem.

I bought the 2014 Fusion in 2019 used. It had roughly 60 some thousand miles. I had to replace the motor at 94 thousand miles. Now at 131 thousand miles, I am faced with the same issue and need to replace the motor again after only 37 thousand miles. From what the dealer said (Copper Country Ford in Houghton Michigan) both issues have been coolant leaking into the cylinders and killing the motor. The first motor was around $4500.00 and now it is roughly the same $4500.00. So $9000.00 in 4 years!!!!! I called Fo Mo Co and they will do nothing to help. They say there is no recall and or order from NHTSA about this issue. Nor do they have any other programs to help resolve this issue or help pay for the repair. First Motor Replaced August 2020 at 94,000 Second Motor Died December 2024 at 131,000

The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The contact referenced an unknown manufacturer’s recall that was related to the failure; however, the manufacturer confirmed that the VIN was not associated. The approximate failure mileage was 47,000.
Backup camera operates intermittently in when in reverse, coming on for about 10 seconds before cutting or not coming on at all, which causes near misses when backing up. Also, camera periodically remains on for 10-15 seconds once shifting into drive which is distracting when pulling into traffic and causes near misses. Furthermore, the camera sometimes activates for 10-15 seconds when shifted into drive from park, again very distracting when pulling into traffic. Problem has persisted for at least 5 years, most recent incident today. Service consultant at two different Ford dealers denied knowledge of this problem.
AdvanceTrac stopped working in my car due a sensor. Had to get it replaced by Midas. When I went to turn on my car and put it in drive it started making an awful grinding sound and would not move and gave me an error code that just said service AdvanceTrac. It was insanely expensive to repair and thankfully didn't happen while I was driving.
We are the owners of a 2014 Ford Fusion model vehicle. We took this vehicle to a local Ford service dealer to have the tires rotated. Dealer service manager told us they could not do the tire rotate because the chrome plating on the wheel lug nuts had swollen and their wrench would not fit the lug nuts. The offered non OEM replacement lugs nuts for our cost of $134.95 plus tax. I believe this is a safety issue as we could be stranded along any roadway should we have a flat tire needing us to use our spare, and unable to remove the flat tire. Our vehicle has a total of about 60,813 miles shown on the odometer. Apparently this swollen lug nut issue is a known problem with this vehicle? Can you help us resolve this?

I've had my Ford Fusion SE ecoboost 1.5, 2014 in for service on 2 separate occasions a day apart for the same reoccurring problems. The first service there was the actions done related to recalls which are consistent with 20S15 A-C and recall 23E03 B. The reasons for my Ford Fusion 1.5 to have been brought to the Premier Ford, Waveland, Ms was as follows: The temperature overheat lamp light was jared, there was 3 leaks from the overheat, there was a Shutter and sounds that came from the engine, (LIMP*)and there was no fuel power through acceleration.
