Complaints 11617112 and 11617127 Thank you for your patience with me!
On [XXX] ford premier out of waveland evaluated my car after I had to have it towed in due to overheating. The high temperature warning notification was lock and wouldn't change to normal after it cooled. I was not fully aware of my car overheating due to no warning other the the temperature overheat warning. A couple of days prior without driving it for 10hrs I noticed a moist to the exhaust pipe. When it broke down the engine had a misfire, a shake, and had not power to the engine to accelerate. There was 3 different puddles of fluids underneath the car. When I had spoke to the service department on this breakdown I made them aware of everything with one of the Mechanics witnessing the shake within the engine. There was a confusion on my part due to the sticker showing a 1.5l and my Insurance showing through carfax a 2.5l with also Descripting a 1.5l that showed for my car to be compatible to a 2.0l, 1.6l Installation of coolant system, that of which lead me to request recalls through Vin# on [XXX] through Verified and it was shown to be compatible for recall. Premier Ford service department Assured me that nothing was wrong with the coolant system that the power train control module reprogramming took care of the breakdown. He assured me when I picked up my car That nothing was wrong with my car. Except for me needing to go, change the brakes so that he could change the brake hoses that are part of the recall associated with the brakes. This was on [XXX]. On [XXX] I broke down again with the same issue with this time before the breakdown there was a stall when I started my car And when they had my car on [XXX] I asked them the check the Fuel Injections and he stated there was nothing wrong with the fuel injections. My car has shown every sign that shows through the coolant system of a fire hazard. I am requesting that the Department to assign the safety recall 17s09 to my vin# [XXX] . My 2014 ford fusion titanium 2.0 ecoboost engine has Coolant leaks causing engine overheating, missfire on cylender 4, car keeps shuddering and stalling while driving. 2014 Ford Fusion 4D 2Wd SE Backup camera started when my car was 9 to 10 years old occasionally goes black and show reversed but not upside down. Within 5 months it continually shows images reversed. I attempted to do a software update but since it was over 10 years old at the time I was not allowed to I also spoke to the car dealership and was told that was correct. No recalls on the backup camera I was told I would need to pay between 500 and 1000 dollars to have it fixed. I found a site on the internet that say the 2014 also had a recall but the Ford site does not show my vin indicating that is true.

A third party hacked my CPU/Transmission Control System causing malfunction with the engine. The engine randomly would cut off during traffic, and I would need to press gas directly after starting the vehicle to go. My vehicle was fairly new and transmission module should not be ineffective after purchasing my vehicle last July 2023 with less than 80K miles. The notification that makes the vehicle stay in the lane would malfunction randomly notifying me of failure to sensor active crash alert. I also have inability to connect to Ford vehicle app with no reason provided to cut off WiFi connectivity. Please review external IP as I can hear communication of third party observing my way of driving and communication while attempting to drive causing distraction affecting safety of myself, my location placement, and health of the car. Possible CPU/transmission/AC connectivity from July 2023 to Malfunction of vehicle starting 10/2024.
"Temporarily lost communication with climate system". This fault has appeared several times. When it comes up, no controls in the vehicle work. This includes ac/heater, windows and radio. My daughter had to drive home from work last week with no ac and no means of putting the windows down. The temperature in the car was pushing 100 degrees. This is not safe and it's not the first time. You can get online and find many examples of the same issue on several models. When I spoke to the local Ford dealer service department, they had no answer.

I recently noticed that the bolt that secures the steering wheel to the steering column has become loose. This seems to be the same problem for which a recall was issued but my vehicle wasn't included in the recall. I haven't had anyone look at it yet because it just started coming loose.
I currently believe that the break pedal bumper has failed. My brake tail lights are permanently on, even when the car is off & unoccupied. My cruise control has been disabled and throttle control has been sporadic. The accelerator pedal does not respond properly when driving, it will either give no response or a sudden surge of power (Usually up to 5000 RPM), cause unsafe driving conditions and the inability to maintain accurate control of the speed of the vehicle. This may be because the vehicle thinks the brake is constantly being pressed. The vehicle is also a push button start and I can start it without pressing the brake, which leads me to believe it thinks the brake is always on. I've read there was a recall previously for brake bumpers, but it did not cover my location. I believe that recall needs to be expanded. I have found a yellowed (from age, was probably clear) chunk of a rubber washer/gasket on my floor board under the brake pedal. I have my vehicle scheduled to be looked at by a Ford dealer on Tuesday the 18th. There are no warning lights, messages, or anything else that indicates that the vehicle believes there is an issue. I can instruct the Ford dealership to hold onto the part, if it is the issue and if the NHTSA wants it, assuming I get a response prior to my appointment.
Was departing in my vehicle for work, only got a short distance from my home and experienced a sudden loss of power steering. Vehicle became extremely difficult to steer and I was fortunate that there was not much traffic or was not at speed or in the middle of a turn when it happened. I have not yet taken it for service, it just happened, and when I searched the issue I found this has happened to many 14 Fusion owners but my vehicle VIN is not on the recall list. The dash lit up with a number of warnings: STEERING LOSS STOP SAFELY, SERVICE ADVANCETRAC, STEERING FAULT. The only symptom that I can remember before the incident happening this morning was the feel of small bump of reistance in the steering wheel as I was turning last night on my way home.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost power steering assist and an unknown warning light was illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 190,000.

The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 88,529.

Loss of power steering. I had my car diagnosed at a ford dealership. They said I need a new steering rack and pinion. This is a very expensive fix for me. Upon doing some research I see this has been an issue for many other owners of the ford fusion.

The flex plate on my vehicle was cracked. Which damaged the transmission pump. We heard what sounded like a box of rocks which quickly got louder and louder we took the car to the dealer the next day. We had no other warnings something was wrong no engine light or anything. Had this plate broken completely we likely would have crashed and our small children could have been hurt. We took it to our local Ford dealer who diagnosed the issue, but would want over $6000 to fix the issue, on top of the $225 we paid to get the issue diagnosed. So for the forseable future we have no safe vehicle.
