When driving the car will stall out and die in the driving state. This occurs without warning from any sensor light error warnings. After acceleration to 35 it will sputter as if the fuel is not flowing, yet then it will correct but stall and completely die during operation while driving. Have had both the upper and lower full pumps installed within the last calendar yet still currently having the problem or issue. Experiencing the exact same Eco boost concerns as other Ford models have been recalled for as of recent

Backup camera fails to display image. The camera started failing about two years ago in 2024. I reported to Ford and to the dealership. I was informed no recall had been issued for my model year but has been issued for other model years. For the past year the camera has been completely non functional.
recall 19V632000 does not show up as a valid recall for my specific vehicle; however, it is at a Ford dealership now. the issue is bolts corroded, the steering gear motor is detached from the gear housing - just as described in the recall. My bolts disinigrated, corroded, and broke away. Can you please issue the recall to my specific vehicle
This is the 2nd time this has happed to me with this car. 2014 Hybrid Ford Fusion has Electronic Power Steering that is controlled by an electronic sensor. When I power steering went out (on my way to Las Vegas), I brought it to the Ford Dealer. They said I needed a new power steering column. After 3 days and doing nothing with my car, I lost my patience. To make me happy, they reset the error code and everything was magically fine - for 3 straight years! Was the power steering column bad? No! The sensor had to be cleared and reset. Now it locked up again. Looking for someone to clear this again. I am not spending $1,800 for this. This should be a recall issue for sure. 1000’s of instances!!! Stop delaying and make this a recall issue. The word “SAFETY” in NHTSA should mean something.

My 2014 Ford Fusion lost all power steering and this seems to be a very common problem and when I called Ford customer service they said the VIN did not have a recall for this issue even though it seems to happen to a lot of people. This is a very dangerous situation and I can't afford to fix it so please make them do a full recall for the effected years not just specific VINs because obviously the issue is still continuing in 2024.
Fuel tank: Tank leaked when it was filled. Most of the time in my driveway but occasionally in parking lots unstil the tank level was reduced to approximately 3/4 filled. In addition fumes would fill the air surrounding the car. The automobile is being currently repaired at an independent repair facility. No other inspection other than repair facility. Initially no warning light but as it progressed the "check engine light" lit. Inspected the removed gas tank at repair facility and the caused of the problem may be a design flaw. the tank design on my vehicle (all wheel drive) is such that it has two zones and each zone has a fuel pump. The retaining plates on the tank are made of metal and therefore due to New England winters and the position of the tank and the location of the tank the retaining plates rust. This resulted in the retaining plates to rust leaving pin holes in the retaining rings causing gas and fumes to exit the fuel system.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was white smoke coming from the exhaust pipes and the engine was misfiring. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not eligible for the Manufacturer’s Extended Coverage for the failure. The failure mileage was 75,000.
On my way home from work I turned into my driveway and my power steering just went out and when I went to start it up again ti see if it worked the steering wheel wouldn't even move. Sometimes it'll move but will be very very hard to turn when parked and other times it won't move at all. This is a known problem that needs to be fixed, luckily I wasn't on the road when it happened but plenty of other people have been and it's a couple thousand dollar fix. Whenever I start the car I get an alert saying power steering assist, uphill assist and advancetrak all require service which fits in line with everyone else's issues. I'm not sure why this hasn't been addressed yet but it should've been dealt with fat sooner. This is an error that could very easily cost lives if it were to happen on the road especially like the express way.
In January 2024, while driving the Ford Fusion, I lost power (when I pressed the gas, it would accelerate). I pulled over the best I could (on a 2 lane road, no shoulder, at night). I found that my vehicle had no coolant; it had an oil change within the last 2 months and all fluids were topped off. It was towed to my mechanic and I had to call family for a ride. It was found that the coolant had leaked and burned out, thereby overheating, warping the block/head (placing it in limp mode). It was not holding compression or fluid. For a new engine and installation, I paid $6,800.67. Tonight ([XXX]) my "check manual" wrench light came on and I pulled over to find the coolant was near empty. I was an hour away from home, at night, with my younger brother in the car, in Reno, NV. It was scary waiting for my family to drive an hour to come get me. I paid $97 to have it towed (insurance paid $500). It is now awaiting a second inspection. I just bought this car in 2023 from CarMax with only 55k miles. Now I cannot get to work or college if someone will not borrow me a car and will be forced to walk (not to work, it's 30 miles away). INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Car was purchased with less than 100,000k miles and within 2 weeks the the car was put into the shop for loss of power while driving and overheating. Had supposedly needed repair and within a week the car overheated again. Paid over 2,000 in repairs and tows due to issue. Car is towed to Ford was told coolant was in the entire and would need to be replaced over $7000. No way Ford should be able to sell calls with known issues and the consumer be responsible for outrageous repair fees. Ford customer service at corporate nor did the dealership offer any type of assistance with the exception of pay for it or start over for scratch which is impossible with today’s inflation. Ford knowingly sold a faulty product and they should be held accountable.
Vehicle started indicating issues turning over to crank. I purchased a new key and key fob for the vehicle and got it programmed successfully I also replaced the starter with a brand new starter, issue still present in which vehicle is not turning on when I turn vehicle on to crank.
2014 Ford Fusion 1.5 Eco boost engine now has 37,000 miles coolant leak into cylinders. Coolant container empty's quickly. Car is undrivable over heats causing a problem driving on the highway. Two mechanics confirmed.

Shifter Cable bushing and cover Car would not move when putting into drive or reverse. It was the Shifter Cable bushing that had to be replaced. We were told that this issues was covered on OTHER vin number vehicles but not our car. WHY???
The latch holding the driver door closed failed and the door would not close. This issue has happened before and been addressed by previous recalls but continues to be an issue.

My torque converter is going out in my 2014 FORD FUSION SE and it caused me to almost get t-boned twice and hit in the rear once. I pull out of the driveway and it cuts off and won't move. No engine light was on and that's a safety hazard. The dealer is telling me to continue to drive it and if it does it again take a video. The vehicle is getting looked at tomorrow as I will show the video I took too the dealership and they will actually take me seriously. I was told it was low on transmission fluid which is why I began driving it again and it happened two more times while getting it to the dealership. This could cause a hazard to others on the road and myself, it could cause injury or even death. I was so scared getting stuck in the middle of the road of oncoming traffic.

I Had my car at Southgate Ford from 0ct 17- 20. During this time my car was to be serviced for the recalls. However upon receiving my car back. I was told the recall that is showing incomplete( door latches) was unable to be repaired due to the car only being registered in MI and PA. At this time it is showing my vin is still showing said recalls as incomplete.

The contact's partner owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at slower speeds, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that on one occasion while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled while depressing the accelerator pedal to the floorboard. The contact stated that the transmission eventually re-engaged, and the contact drove the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer performed a diagnostic test and informed the contact that the transmission had failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls or warranties on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. My transmission has failed multiple times. Luckily my car is under warranty, because I have been able to have it replaced twice, but both times, these malfunctions have put my life and countless others in danger, because the failure is sudden and not preceded by any warnings. This problem has reproduced twice and been confirmed and fixed both times by Sun’s Auto in Spring Texas. The vehicle has been inspected recently by the manufacturer as my shifter bushings also disconnected as part of a separate recall, resulting in a similar situation as the transmission failure. There have been no warnings prior to any of these issues occurring, and at this point recalling individual parts is not sufficient. The transmission and shifter bushing issues alone cost more to repair than the car is worth at this point, and they are extremely dangerous, especially when combined with the other active safety recalls for this same car such as the brakes, door latches, and steering. Almost every aspect of this car is unsafe as manufactured .
Back-up Camera: The back-up camera works intermittently, or sometimes not at all; On several occasions, the camera went on briefly, showing children approaching the back of the car while backing out of a driveway. Then it goes blank as they walk behind the vehicle. Additionally, when backing into a parking space, the camera displays, then goes blank as soon as the proximity alert warning beep starts to sound. I’m not sure if the “trigger" is the proximity sensors or the steering sensor since the steering wheel is always turned and the warning beeps are always present.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving approximately 65 MPH, the coolant warning light illuminated. The contact was informed that the vehicle lost motive power and decelerated to approximately 15 MPH. The contact stated that his daughter pulled off the roadway and turned the vehicle off. The contact drove out to his daughter and jumpstarted the vehicle. The contact used an ODB scanner and retrieved fault code: P1299 “Engine overheated”. The contact cleared the code, and the vehicle was driven back to his residence. The contact replaced the coolant temperature gauge. The contact stated that the vehicle drove normally for several days however, the failure reoccurred. The contact checked the coolant reservoir and noticed that the reservoir was nearly empty. The contact then drove the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that coolant had intruded into the engine cylinders. The contact was advised that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to the manufacturer Technical Service Bulletin Number: 19-2139 - Coolant Intrusion into the Cylinder (Engine and Engine Cooling). The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.
The back-up safety camera has become at best intermittently functioning, sometimes will not come on at all when the transmission is placed in reverse. When it does come on with reverse, the camera will often cut out in the middle of a backing maneuver while the vehicle is in motion. From the checking I've done online this appears to be a common issue with ford's back-up cameras, and I am surprised a safety recall is not already in effect, considering these cameras came on the vehicles as required safety equipment.
Coolant leak into the cylinders of the 1.5 L GTDI EcoBoost engine and causes the vehicles to misfire, overheat and even catch fire. As a result of the failure which has been confirmed by an independent mechanic, the car is not operational only has 103K miles.
The rear passenger back door latch is out. Has to be replaced because door will not shut an my toddler almost feel out but I caught him.
The lug nuts on my 2014 Ford Fusion have swollen to the point where they cannot be removed with the tool Ford provided or a standard 4 socket iron wrench. This problem is so severe, AAA was unable to remove the lug nuts after I had a flat requiring a tow for repair of tire. Additionally, the lug nits cam become compromised and cause the rim to become fisplaced while driving.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH and making a left turn, the traction control and Uphill Assist warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the "Power Steering Assist" message was displayed, and the steering wheel became firm. The contact shutoff and restarted the vehicle and the vehicle started operating normally. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was contacted that stated that there was no recall for the failure on the VIN. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was 60,000.
