03/2015 LOST CONTROL OF THE BREAKS AND HAD TO USE THE PARKING BREAKS TO ATTEMPT TO STOP ME AND U STILL HIT ANOTHER CAR. 07/09/2015 LOST ALL CONTROL OF BREAKS, INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAY TURNED WHITE AND THE MFT TURNED BLACK, MOTOR SHUT OFF. THE DEALER CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM, THEY JUST DO A COMPUTER RESET AND IT TEMPORARILY FIXES THE PROBLEM BUT THEY REJECT ME TO PUT MY CHILD IN THIS CAR!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 5 MPH, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VIBRATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BAFFLES FAILED AND THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED BECAUSE THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE DEALER THAT THE NOISE AND VIBRATION WAS NORMAL. THE FAILURE FOR THE VEHICLE NOT BEING ABLE TO START WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
2015 FORD FUSION. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE POWER STEERING RECALL NOTICE ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED AT THE TIME HE TOOK POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE, HE WAS NOT INFORMED OF ANY PENDING OR EXISTING RECALLS REGARDING THE STEERING. RECALL # 15V250000.*JB.
ON MORE THAN THREE OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE HAS ABRUPTLY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING OR COMING TO COMPLETE STOP WHEN THE GEAR WAS IN THE DRIVE POSITION. THIS HAS ALSO OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING OVER 60 MPH ON THE EXPRESSWAY AND IT POSES A GRAVE DANGER AND SAFETY RISK. WHEN THE INCIDENTS OCCURRED THE CONSOLE DISPLAY READ "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK". AFTER THE FIRST TWO INCIDENTS, THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ROD BAKER FORD IN JOLIET, ILLINOIS FOR SERVICE (PURCHASE LOCATION). THEY STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM, BUT I BELIEVE THAT THEY DID NOT CONTACT FORD OR TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO FIX THIS SERIOUS DEFECT. MOST RECENTLY ON JUNE 22, 2015, THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE SHUT DOWN WHILE COMING TO A STOP WHEN THE GEAR WAS IN DRIVE......THERE IS A SERIOUS AND POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING DEFECT WITH MY 2015 FORD FUSION AND IT MUST BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V250000 (STEERING) AND STATED THAT THE PART NEEDED WAS NOT AVAILABLE WITHIN A REASONABLE TIMEFRAME TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER SCHEDULED A RECALL APPOINTMENT ON JULY 14, 2015 AND, ONCE THE CONTACT ARRIVED FOR THE RECALL REPAIR, INDICATED THAT THE PART NEEDED WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE DEALER DID NOT GIVE A SPECIFIC DATE FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
THE CAR WAS PARKED FOR 7 DAYS WITHOUT BEING DRIVEN AND ON THE 8TH DAY I WENT TO USE IT AND I COULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL. I WAS ABLE TO OPEN IT WITH THE MANUAL DOOR KEY. I TRIED TO START THE CAR BUT THERE WAS NO LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD INSTRUMENT AND CAR DID NOT START. THERE WAS NO SOUND OF THE STARTER MOTOR. I TURNED ON THE RADIO AND IT WAS DEAD NOTHING ON THE RADIO PANEL. I REALIZED THAT THE BATTERY MAY BE DEAD. I OPENED THE HOOD AND MEASURE THE BATTERY WITH A DIGITAL MULTI-METER AND THERE WAS ONLY 2 V DC - THE BATTERY NEEDED TO HAVE 12 V DC TO START THE ENGINE. SINCE I HAD A BATTERY, I CHARGED THE BATTERY FOR 3 HOURS AND THEN I WAS ABLE TO START THE ENGINE. I USED THE CAR FOR 4 DAYS AND LEFT IT PARK FOR 8 DAYS TO SEE IF THAT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN - BUT IT DID NOT. I SAID TO MYSELF THAT IF I HAD LEFT THE CAR AT THE AIRPORT FOR A WEEK AND I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET HOME WITH THE 2015 FORD FUSION. I SAID TO MYSELF THAT TELLING IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY MAY NOT BELIEVE ME SO THAT IS WHY I AM WRITING THIS REPORT TO NHTSA.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO A CONCRETE MEDIAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,800.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DIFFERENT DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRAME UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE WAS DRENCHED WITH OIL, RENDERING THE VEHICLE "HAZARDOUS". THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT CALL BACK AS PROMISED OVER A WEEK AGO. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT PROVIDED.
NHTSA RECALL 15V250; FORD RECALL 15S14. I BOUGHT THIS CAR APPROXIMATELY 3 YEARS AGO AND THEY HAVE YET TO OFFER A REPAIR FOR THIS RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE POWER STEERING SEIZED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE DROVE OVER A CURB AND DAMAGED THE UNDERBODY PROTECTION PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON HWY 27A AT 65 MPH [XXX] REACHED UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN, BUMPING THE IGNITION SWITCH. THIS BUMP CAUSED THE MOTOR TO CUT OFF. [XXX] WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN IN OUR DRIVEWAY. [XXX] HAD PULLED OUT OF THE GARAGE AND PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AS [XXX] EXPLAINED WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT WAS LOCATED. WHEN [XXX] REACHED UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN HE BUMPED THE IGNITION SWITCH OR KEYS AND THE MOTOR CUT OFF. WE RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE OUR GARAGE AND CONTACTED FORD OF OCALA FOR A SERVICE APPT. ON 5/2 WE DELIVERED THE CAR TO FORD/OCALA. [XXX] SAID THEY COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM WE EXPLAINED. THEN [XXX] GOT INTO THE CAR WITH MS. LEATHERS KEYS AND REPEATED SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF BY BUMPING THE KEY/IGNITION SWITCH. [XXX] WAS ANOTHER EMPLOYEE IN THE SHOP WHO WITNESSED THIS HAPPENING. [XXX] SAID HE NEEDED TO CONTACT TROUBLESHOOTING AND THAT COULDN'T HAPPEN UNTIL MONDAY. 5/4 I CONTACTED FORD/OCALA AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE WORK WAS DONE, UNDER WARRANTY, AND THAT THEY CHANGED THE KEYCHAIN AND THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM. ONLY THE KEY CHAIN WE WERE USING WHEN WE WITNESSED THE SHUTDOWN WAS NOT THE ONE FORD/OCALA HAD. I SPOKE TO [XXX] AT FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND SHE SAID WE COULD TEST OUR KEY CHAIN AND THE MODIFIED KEY CHAIN IN THE FUSION. [XXX] WENT ON 5/8 TO TRY THE VEHICLE, WITH THE MODIFIED KEY CHAIN AND [XXX], THE SERVICE MGR IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. AGAIN, [XXX] REACHED UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN, BUMPED THE IGNITION SWITCH/KEY CHAIN AND THE MOTOR CUT OFF. [XXX] RESPONDED THAT THE CAR WAS SUPPOSE TO WORK LIKE THAT. SHE THEN SAID WE HAD TO GET THE CAR OFF THEIR LOT. THE VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS AND NO ONE SHOULD DRIVE IT. THE CAR IS STILL AT FORD OF OCALA. THE IGNITION SWITCH IF BUMPED CAN CUT THE MOTOR OFF. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, I WENT TO REVERSE AND TURN AROUND. WHEN I SHIFTED INTO REVERSE ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS FAILED, BRAKES NO LONGER WORKED, AND I SLOWLY WENT BACK UNTIL I HIT A SMALL CONCRETE PILLAR. THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED NOW MULTIPLE TIMES, AT RANDOM SPEEDS AND RANDOM TIMES. IT'S NEVER SET ON A SPECIFIC MOTION OR ACTION.

IT IS BRAND NEW. THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH A FEATURE CALLED "ACTIVE PARK ASSIST." IT IS NEW TO ME AND HAVE NEVER OWNED A VEHICLE WITH THIS FEATURE PREVIOUSLY. YESTERDAY, I USED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. I TURNED IT ON AND LET IT PARALLEL PARK FOR ME. I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS ON THE VEHICLE VIDEO SCREEN AND TOOK MY HANDS OF THE WHEEL. THE VEHICLE THEN BACKED INTO THE SPACE AND STRUCK THE CAR PARKED BEHIND. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WAS STUNNED. THE DIRECTIONS IN FORD'S MANUAL ARE SOMEWHAT, AT LEAST FROM MY PERSPECTIVE, UNCLEAR. ON PAGE 180, IT SAYS "THE DRIVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR AVOIDING HAZARDS AND MAINTAINING A SAFE DISTANCE AND SPEED, EVEN WHEN THE SYSTEM IS IN USE." ON PAGE 182, THE MANUAL STATES "IF YOUR VEHICLE SPEED EXCEEDS 6MPH, THE SYSTEM SWITCHES OFF AND YOU NEED TO TAKE FULL CONTROL OF YOUR VEHICLE." I PARKED MY CAR, TURNED OFF THE PUSH BUTTON IGNITION, EXITED THE VEHICLE, LOCKED IT AND WALKED INTO STARBUCKS. HALFWAY INTO THE STORE I HEARD A CRASH SOUND, TURNED AND DIDN'T SEE MY CAR. IT HAD ROLLED FROM WHERE I PARKED IT ACROSS A PARKING LOT AND HIT A PARKED VEHICLE. IT EASILY COULD HAVE HIT AND HURT OR EVEN KILLED A PEDESTRIAN. WHEN I GOT INTO MY CAR I NOTICED I HAD INADVERTENTLY LEFT IT IN DRIVE. I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR NOT PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK BUT I FIND IT DISCONCERTING AND DANGEROUS THAT THE CAR PROVIDES NO WARNING WHEN THAT IS DONE. HAD I LEFT THE CAR ON IT WOULD HAVE HONKED WHEN I EXITED THE VEHICLE. HAD I LEFT THE CAR IN DRIVE IN MY HONDA I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY WITHOUT PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK. I BELIEVE THAT IS AN IMPORTANT SAFETY MEASURE AND ONE THAT SHOULD BE REQUIRED IN ANY CAR, INCLUDING PUSH BUTTON START CARS. WITHOUT SOME SORT OF SAFETY FEATURE I FEEL IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL SOMEONE IS HURT OR KILLED BY AN INADVERTENT RUNAWAY CAR. I DID CALL FORD (BOTH THE COMPANY AND THE DEALERSHIP) AND THEY SAID THE CAR BEHAVED AS EXPECTED GIVEN WHAT I HAD DONE. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING HOME AND POWER STEERING WENT OUT ON THE CAR. SHE TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND IT WAS STILL OUT. DROVE CAR TO DEALERSHIP A FEW DAYS LATER (POWER STEERING WAS OK AT THAT POINT) AND THEY SAID THAT THE CAR WAS PROGRAMMED WITH WRONG CODES AND REPROGRAMMED IT. SAID IT MUST HAVE BEEN DONE AT THE FACTORY. TEN DAYS LATER ON 4/6/15, POWER STEERING IS OUT AGAIN. SHE WAS EXITING THE INTERSTATE AT APPROXIMATELY 55-60MPH AND IT WENT OUT. DURING THE DRIVE BACK TO ENTERPRISE TO RETURN THE VEHICLE, MY KNEE BRUSHED UP AGAINST THE FOB DANGLING FROM THE KEYED IGNITION SWITCH, THE KEY ROTATED TO THE ACC POSITION FROM THE RUN/ON POSITION AND THE ENGINE STOPPED. I WAS IN DRIVE AT THE TIME, SO I STOPPED THE VEHICLE, PLACED THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. ON ARRIVAL AT ENTERPRISE WHILE STOPPED IN THEIR PARKING LOT WITH FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE, I WAS ABLE WITHOUT ANY DIFFICULTY TO TURN THE IGNITION KEY TO ACCESSORY OR OFF WHILE THE TRANSMISSION WAS STILL IN DRIVE. I DEMONSTRATED THIS SAME PROCEDURE TO THE ENTERPRISE AGENT, BUT FELT THAT NHTSA AND FORD NEED TO KNOW THAT THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE PRIOR TO REPAIRS TO THE IGNITION SWITCH. I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON MARCH 1, 2015. ON MARCH 12, 2015, I WAS DRIVING FROM SAN JOSE (AFTER WATCHING SHARKS GAME) TO SANTA CLARA (MY HOME) ON I-280, IN THE LEFT MOST LANE, WHEN I SAW LOSS OF POWER, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WARNING SAID "ALERT STOP SAFELY", BUT THE TIME I REACHED THE RIGHT MOST LANE, THE CAR LOST POWER AND STOPPED (30 SEC). I PRAYED TO GOD, AS THIS WAS AROUND 9:00PM AT NIGHT ON HIGHWAY. I RESTARTED THE CAR, IT STARTED AGAIN AND I WAS DRIVING ON LAWARENCY EXPRESS WAY, WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED, IT STOPPED. I RAN DIAGNOSTIC REPORT AND IT STATES THERE WERE COMPONENTS FAILURE IN ENGINE AND ELECTRIC SYSTEM. I STARTED AGAIN AND WENT HOME. THIS MORNING I GOT IT TOWED AND IT IS WITH SUNNYVALE FORD. OI AM THANKFUL TO GOD, THAT THIS DIDN'T RESULT IN ACCIDENT OR LOSS OF MY LIFE OR MY LOVED ONES. 1ST OFF I'LL START WITH THE WORSE TO LEASE PROBLEMS, THE TRANS SHIFTING VERY SLOWLY AND HARD, THE CAR IS TOO LOW AND HITS EVERYTIME TO A DRIVEWAY IS ENTERED AT A MALL OR ANY PARKING LOT AND IS TOO LOW FOR CHICAGO WINTERS, THE SEATS ARE VERY CHEAP AND GET STAINS FROM DROPS OF WATER, CAR RIDES HARD AND NOISY ESPECIALLY THE REAR, POOR STEREO SOUND, VERY SLOW ACCELERATION, ELECTRONIC STEERING MAKES THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AND HARD TO STAY STRAIGHT IN LANE, AND EVERYTHING'S IN THE WRONG PLACE (ARM REST TOO LOW TO REACH STEERING WHEEL, SEAT TO LOW OR FAR AWAY TO REACH PEDALS AND ON LONG TRIPS WEARS THE DRIVER OUT FROM FIGHTING THE VEHICLE. OWN A 2005 TAURUS THAT MADE ME A REPEAT BUYER BUT THIS WILL BE MY LAST FORD AND TOYOTA, HYUNDAI AS WELL AS SOME OTHER CAR COMPANIES ARE JUST TOO PROBLEMATIC TO EVER PURCHASE AGAIN DUE TO ALL THE NEW TRANS AND STEERING PROBLEMS COMBINED WITH THE POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP MAKE OLDER VEHICLE LOOK SO GOOD NOW.
I'VE HAD STEERING AND TRANSMISSION ISSUES SINCE I PURCHASED THIS CAR THAT CAN'T BE AND/OR WON'T BE ADDRESSED BY THE DEALER. THE CAR IS VERY HARD TO KEEP IN THE LANE ESPECIALLY ON THE EXPRESSWAY. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS VERY HARD UPON ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION. THE SUSPENSION IS WEAK MAKING THE CAR SEEM AS IF IT'S SINKING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND BOUNCES WAY TOO MUCH AS WELL AS THE SWAYING AS THE CAR IS DRIVEN AND HAS WHERE ROLL ON TURNS. THE VEHICLE SITS TOO LOW TO CLEAR ALL DRIVE WAYS AND THE WIPERS DON'T CLEAR THE WINDOWS PROPERLY. THE FRONT WINDOW ALWAYS GETS FOGGY CAUSING THE HEAT OR AC TO BE USED CONSTANTLY.
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2015 FORD FUSION. MY KNEE HAS HIT THE KEY FOB MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING AND THE CAR HAS TURNED OFF WHILE IN MOTION. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE THE CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE IN TRAFFIC. THE KEY FOB STICKS WAY OUT AND FOR A GUY WHO IS 6FT IT IS VERY HARD TO AVOID HITTING THE KEY FOB WITH MY KNEE. THIS WILL KILL SOMEONE. I TOLD FORD AND THEY DON'T CARE. I TOLD THE DEALER I WANTED TO RETURN THE CAR AND THEY WOULD LET ME. PLEASE FIX THE KEY FOB. I WAS DRIVING SOUTHBOUND ON I-75 ALMOST TO PERRYSBURG IN THE MIDDLE LANE AND MY CAR COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. MY CAR WAS STILL IN DRIVE, BUT ALL THE LIGHTS ON MY DASH WENT BLACK AND WHEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS PEDAL I WASN'T GOING ANYWHERE. THERE WAS A TRUCK NEXT TO ME IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE, I WAITED FOR IT TO PASS AND THEN GOT OVER. I FINALLY MADE IT TO THE SHOULDER AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK. I THEN WAITED A COUPLE MINUTES AND RESTARTED MY CAR.
CAR WAS SOLD TO US WHILE UNDER A RECALL NOTICE 14C11 FROM LAST YEAR WITHOUT EITHER CORRECTING THE PROBLEM BEFORE SELLING US THE CAR OR INFORMING US OF THE RECALL. WE GOT A POSTCARD LAST WEEK FROM FORD HEADQUARTERS ABOUT THE RECALL. *TR
I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE IN FEB. 2015 AND ONCE I TOOK THE VEHICLE HOME A LOUD RATTLING NOISE BEGAN TO SOUND OF SLOWLY. TOOK MY VEHICLE TO FORD DEALER, I WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE NEED A NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM AND MUFFLER. THE SALES PERSON THAT IT CAME FROM FACTORY THAT WAY. I TOOK A SECOND TIME BECAUSE IT MADE A LOUD EMISSION NOISE AND EVERY TIME THAT THE CAR WAS ON. NOW THE VEHICLE AS ME WORRIED BECAUSE IF IT IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND SINCE DAY ONE IT HAS BEEN MAKING LOUD NOISES. WILL KEEP THIS UPDATED IN CASE IF I HAVE TO TAKE A THIRD TIME. I WILL BE LETTING THE DEALERSHIP KNOW ABOUT THE LEMON LAW IN CALIFORNIA ALSO.

ON ENTRY TO MY DRIVEWAY THE BUMPER SCRAPED THE GROUND AND I'M UNABLE TO PARK IN MY GARAGE FOR THIS REASON NOR CAN I USE MY DRIVEWAY. ON ANOTHER OCCASION I WAS GOING TO THE GAS STATION AND THE CAR SCRAPED ON ENTRY AND EXITING THE STATION. FIRST TIME AROUND 9:00 AM GOING EAST ON 401 IN CANADA, SECOND TIME AROUND 8:00 PM GOING WEST ON 402 IN CANADA. LOST POWER STEERING, ENGINE POWER, POWER BRAKES AND HEADLIGHTS. WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER AND HAD TO PLACE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED CAR WITH IGNITION KEY. RENTAL CAR COMPANY PROVIDES TWO CAR KEYS WITH A BRAIDED CHAIN TO KEEP THE TWO KEYS TOGETHER AND TO DISCOURAGE CUSTOMER FROM SEPARATING THE KEYS (NEED WIRE CUTTERS TO SEPARATE). THE FORD KEYS ARE VERY HEAVY AND HAVE INTEGRATED KEYFOB. TO PREVENT THE KEYS FROM HITTING MY KNEES, I USED A TYWRAP TO PULL THEM CLOSER TOGETHER. *TR

I LIKE MANY OTHERS AM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE KEY FOB/IGNITION ISSUE. I AM 5FT9 AND A HEAVIER GUY. I BOUGHT THIS CARE FOR MY WIFE BUT I DRIVE FROM IT FROM TIME TO TIME. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING BOTH ON THE ROAD AND BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY MY KNEE OR LEG HAS BUMPED THE KEY AND IT HAS TURNED THE CAR OFF. I DREAD TO THINK ABOUT THE DAMAGE OR DEATH THAT ISSUE CAN CAUSE ON THE HIGHWAY OR INTERSTATE. IF THE KEY TURNS OFF WHILE DRIVING, THIS CAN CAUSE TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND DEATH. A KEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ROTATE AS EASY AS IT DOES ON THE FUSION. I HAVE HAD OWNED MANY CARS AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A KEY TURN IN THE IGNITION AS EASY AS THIS. WHILE DRIVING IN A MODERATE RAIN THE WIND SHIELD WIPERS WILL NOT WORK FAST ENOUGH TO KEEP THE WIND SHIELD CLEAN AND TO HAVE ANY TYPE OF VISIBILITY. COULD NOT SEE THE LINES ON THE ROAD AND HAD TO PULL OVER. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME IT RAINS OR SNOWS. VERY BIG SAFETY CONCERN!
DUST IS GETTING IN SIDE OF CAR UNDER THE BACK DOORS. DUST IS IN THE FLOOR AND BACK SEAT. CAR IS IN MOTIO WHEN THE DUST GET IN SIDE OF CAR. THE CAR IS ON DIRT ROAD FOR 1 MILE UNTIL I GET TO THE HIGHWAY. WHEN DRIVING ON DIRT ROAD I CAN SEE DUST IN THE AIR INSIDE OF CAR. I HAVE HAD DUST COMING INTO THE CAR FROM 09-2014 THROUGHT TODAY. CAR HAS BEEN AT RIVER SIDE FORD IN MACON, GA. AND DUBLIN FORD IN DUBLIN, GA. BOTH DEALER SAY THEIR IS NO REPAIR FOR THE CAR. BOTH DEALER HAVE PICTURES FOR THIS CAR.

SEVEN DAYS LATER BLUE CHARGING RING CONTINUOUSLY BLINKED CREATING ISSUES WITH OTHER VEHICLES AND INDIVIDUALS AND CENTER ELECTRONIC WENT BLANK ELIMINATING BACK UP CAMERA AND SYSTEM CONTROLS AND REMAINED BLANK FOR SEVERAL MINUTES AND WOULD FLICKER BACK ON (THIS OCCURRED MORE THAN ONCE.). AGAIN TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP, CHARGING PORT AND CABLE REPLACED. NEXT MORNING VEHICLE SHOWED A "WRENCH" WARNING SIGN WHICH INDICATES A "POWER TRAIN" ISSUE AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT ENGAGE IN GEAR. AFTER FOUR ATTEMPTS, VEHICLE ENGAGED IN GEAR AND VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR OVER 64 DAYS AWAITING ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS FROM EUROPE. *TR
Rear view camera reverts to a black screen when the vehicle is put in reverse. The screen indicates an error. This has been ongoing for a year. The 2016 Ford Fusion has been granted a recall on this issue - why wasn't the 2015 model included?
