WHEN MAKING A WIDE OR QUICK TURN, THE CAR STEERING WHEEL WILL LOCK UP & WHILE THE CAR IN MOTION & PULL TOWARDS ONE SIDE AND DASH LIGHTS WILL SHOW UP SAYING "STEERING ASSIST FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED" AND I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE CONTROL OF STEERING WHEEL UNLESS I TURN CAR OFF AND THEN THE DASH LIGHT WILL TURN OFF N NOT SHOW UP INTO PROBLEM OCCUR AGAIN.. VERY DANGEROUS N HAPPY IT HAPPENED WHEN I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY... 3RD TIME TODAY IT DID THIS, SUCKS TO NOT BE ABLE TO FEEL SAFE DRIVING YOUR VEHICLE, CANT DRIVE IT INTO THIS FIX.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE POWER STEERING SEIZED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN. IN ADDITION, THE STEERING ASSIST FAULT WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, IT RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE DEFECT; HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,740.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY TO WORK MY STEERING SUDDENLY LOCKED UP AND JERKED AND THEN I GOT MULTIPLE ALERTS AND LOST POWER STEERING. THE ALERTS WERE "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC" "STEERING ASSIST FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED" "HILL ASSIST NOT WORKING" "SERVICE BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM" AND THERE WERE TWO TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS. AFTER WORK THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS AND ALERTS WERE STILL ON AND I DID NOT HAVE POWER STEERING ON THE DRIVE HOME.
WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY SPEED (70 MPH) THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST POWER AS I WAS GOING UP HILL AND IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I HAD TO MERGE ALL THE WAY TO THE SHOULDER AND COAST DOWN THE HILL 2 MILES TO GET TO A SAFE LOCATION BEFORE PULLING OVER AND GETTING OUT OF THE CAR. THANKFULLY A POLICE OFFICE WAS ABLE TO ESCORT ME OTHERWISE I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED.
TOOK THE CAR IN FOR REGULAR MAINTENCE & WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO BREAK THE LUG BOLTS TO ROTATE TIRES AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THEM REPLACED. NO ONE HAS TOUCHED THIS CAR, BUT THE DEALERSHIP. FORD HAS ADMITTED TO THE FAULTY DESIGN, BUT NEVER ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS DEFECTIVE PART. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE DONE AT NO COST TO ME.
6 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FAILED WITH 60849 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. TRANSMISSION WAS PUT IN REVERSE AND WHOLE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING. VEHICLE DROVE IN DRIVE POSITION. I DROVE TO SAFE PLACE AND HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO A FORD DEALER. DEALER FOUND METAL SHAVINGS AND BLACK TRANSMISSION FLUID IN TRANSMISSION. REPLACED PLANETARY RING GEARS AND BEARING ASSEMBLY-THRUST .
When the car is going down the highway it will make a loud sound and the just shut off in the middle of traffic and some time it will not make a.sound,and it shuts off. This is a very dangerous thing to be happening on a highway. I have had several close call in which the person or people behind me had to swirl around me to keep from causing a major car crash. I have had my car to shut off on me several times before. I took it to have it checked out and the cause was determined to be within my fuel line, causing me to have the fuel tube replaced. As they where checking my car another Ford Fusion was having the same problem.
I HAVE A 2012 FORD FOCUS AND AS YOU KNOW A 2016 FUSION AS WELL . SHORTLY AFTER I PURCHASED MY FOCUS I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR THE PURGE VALVE A COUPLE WEEKS AGO MY CHECK ENGIN LIGHT CAME ON AND NOW IT'S DOING THE SAME DYING AT STOP LIGHTS AND EVEN ON MORE THEN ONE OCCASION EITHER DYING WHILE DRIVING OR ONE LAST NIGHT DOING 75 MPH ON FREEWAY IN THE FAST LANE WITH NO SHOULDER AND HEAVY TRAFFIC I CALLED FORD COPRPORTAT AND THEY SAID THERE WERE NO REALLS FOR THIS VEHICLE, I JUST PASSED 60,000 MILES AND NOT MY WARRANTY IS UP.
I HAVE A 2016 FORD FUSION THAT IS UNDER A RECALL BUT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT. I WAS BACKING MY CAR IN TO PARKING SPACE I WENT TO CHANGE GEARS TO DRIVE AND IT WENT INTO NEUTRAL AND NOW MY CAR IS STUCK IN NEUTRAL ON THE DASH THE TRANSMISSION IS ACTUALLY IN NEUTRAL, BUT THE GEAR SHIFTER IS IN PARK. NOW IT WILL NOT MOVE FROM PARK AT ALL AND THE TRANSMISSION IS STILL IN NEUTRAL AND I HAD TO APPLY THE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE I CAN PHYSICALLY TURN MY IGNITION OFF AND REMOVE THE KEY. I HAD NO WARNING OR ANYTHING ON MY DASHBOARD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING IN REVERSE AND SHIFTING INTO DRIVE, THE VEHICLE GEAR INDICATOR DISPLAYED NEUTRAL ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. ALSO, THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAD TO BE APPLIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S SISTER'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED JIMMY GRANGER USED VEHICLES (1010 SHREVEPORT BARKSDALE HWY, SHREVEPORT, LA 71105, (318) 861-5113) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
I HAVE A NEW ALTERNATOR, NEW BATTERY, BUT THE PCM UNIT FOR THE FUSES IS BAD.
VEHICLE APIM FAILED. THIS IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE HANDSFREE OPTION FOR CELL PHONE USE, STEERING WHELL CONTTOLS, AND CELL BLUE TOOTH OPTION.
MY FORD FUSION 2016 IS HAVING A BAD ISSUE AND IT IS A DANGEROUS ONE. SO I WAS DRIVING AROUND WITH MY GRANDMOTHER AND SIBLINGS, WE HAD STOPPED BY THE SUPERMARKET TO GET SOME FOOD. AND WHEN I FINISHED PARKING MY VEHICLE BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR HAS OPENED EXCEPT FOR THE TWO REAR DOORS MY SIBLINGS COULDNT GET OUT THE CAR IF THE HANDLE IS PULLED OUTSIDE OF THE REAR DOOR. ITS A VERY DANGEROUS THING BECAUSE IMAGINE IF IN A CAR CRASH AND SOMEONE IS SITTING IN THE REAR SIT HOW ARE THEY GOING TO OPEN THE DOOR!?. THIS NEED A FIX.
RECALL 19S16 (TRANSMISSION LINKAGE FAILURE) HAS AFFECTED MY CAR AND MADE IT UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT GO INTO PARK OR SHIFT GEARS. BARTOW FORD STATES THAT THEY CAN NOT FIX THE ISSUE IN AN APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF TIME. I HAVE TO WAIT 7 DAYS UNTIL THEY WILL REPAIR THE ISSUE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION ENERGI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN AN UNKNOWN RECALL REGARDING THE STEERING. RICK BALL FORD LINCOLN SEDALIA (2505 W BROADWAY BLVD, SEDALIA, MO 65301, 660-826-5200) WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THIS WAS A NEWLY ISSUED RECALL AND THE REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT INFORMED THE MANUFACTURER THAT SHE WOULD BE MOVING WITH HER HUSBAND TO HAWAII AND, IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE IMPORTED, THERE COULD BE NO ACTIVE RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE REGARDING THE MATTER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT 70 MPH ALL OF A SUDDEN HAD A LOSS OF THROTTLE SERVICE WRENCH LIGHT, AIRBAG LIGHT, SEE OWNERS MANUAL LIT UP HAPPENED IN AN AREA WHERE THERE WAS NOWHERE TO PULL OFF THE FREEWAY VERY UNSAFE HEARD OF A RECALL THAT HAD HAPPENED FOR A THROTTLE BODY ISSUE THAT I NEVER RECEIVED NOTICE FOR CAR MILEAGE CURRENTLY AROUND 60, 500 MILES FORD FUSION SE HAVE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS AMONG OTHER FORD PRODUCTS IS IT GOING TO TAKE SOMEONE TO GET KILLED IN ORDER FOR A RECALL TO BE REORDERED TALK TO THE DEALER AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO HELP ME TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL OF THE STUFF OUT OF POCKET. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT FOUR TIMES SO FAR AND I AM CURRENTLY NOT DRIVING THE VEHICLE AS I FEEL UNSAFE IN THAT VEHICLE
DROVE TO WORK ONE DAY IN JULY 2019. GOT TO WORK WENT TO CLOSE DRIVER DOOR AND IT WOULD NOT CLOSE. DOVE IT HOME WITH A BUNGEE CORD HOLDING THE DOOR CLOSED. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP LATER THAT DAY AND THEY REPLACED A LATCH AT NO COST TO US BECAUSE IT WAS UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. NOW ON AUGUST 24TH 2019, MY MOM AND DAUGHTER AND I WERE SHOPPING AND WE GOT TO A STORE, MY DAUGHTER GOT OUT OF THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR AND IT WOULDN'T CLOSE JUST LIKE THE PRIOR TIME. THIS TIME I AM OUT OF WARRANTY SO I HAVE TO PAY APPROXIMATELY $500 TO GET IT FIXED AND GET A RENTAL CAR SO I CAN GET BACK AND FORTH TO WORK. BOTH TIMES THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED IN PARK BUT WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF WE WERE IN MOTION. WE DID NOTHING TO THE DOORS EXCEPT OPEN AND CLOSE THEM WHICH IS WHAT THEIR PURPOSE IS! THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND SEEMS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE THEY HAVE HAD ON THIS SAME MODEL FROM 2013-2015 FROM WHAT I HAVE READ. PLEASE HELP GET THIS ISSUE TAKEN CARE OF. IT IS NOT SAFE AND VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIX.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FORD OF MURFREESBORO (1550 NW BROAD ST, MURFREESBORO, TN 37129, (615) 713-1436) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTER BUSHING WAS MISSING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V362000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,582.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A STRANGE GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. ALSO, AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR ENTERED THE CABIN. THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO IMPERIAL FORD (8 UXBRIDGE RD, MENDON, MA 01756, 508-473-2800) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SOLENOID AND PURGE CONTROL FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
I PULLED IN TO A PARKING SPOT AND SHIFTED MY VEHICLE INTO P (PARK), TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE AN IT STARTED MOVING. I LOOKED AT THE GEAR SHIFT AND IT WAS ON P (PARK), BUT THE DISPLAY SHOWED S (STANDARD) WHICH I WAS NOT USING AT ALL. I HAD TO TURN THE KEY TO OFF TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THEN IT WOULD NOT START AND IT ROLLED BACKWARDS WHILE OFF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 65 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SLAMMED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO TURN OFF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUAL OFF BUTTON HAD TO BE PRESSED NUMEROUS TIMES BEFORE THE CRUISE CONTROL TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. *TP
POSER STEERING WILL RANDOMLY QUIT ALONG WITH HILL ASSIST AND TURN THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON. HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE WERE CHARGED $140 TO BE TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG NOW THE POSE STEERING IS COMPLETELY GONE AND WILL NOT RESET.
2016 FORD FUSION MAKING LOUD RATTLING NOISE FROM ENGINE. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT EVER CAME ON, BUT FORD SAYING ENGINE IS CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. CONNECTING ROD IN PISTON BROKE LOOSE. HOW DOES NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT EVER COME ON? THIS COULD HAVE KILLED ME ON THE HIGHWAY. HOW DOES A 3 YEAR OLD CAR WITH 128,000 (MOSTLY HIGHWAY) MILES GO INTO CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE? CAR HAS BEEN METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED.
THE CAR SAID IT WAS IN PARK AND THE BACKUP CAMERA WAS ON AND IT BROKE THE SHIFTER CABLE
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN MAY REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE. THIS PART HAS NOW BROKE ON MY VEHICLE AND FORD IS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING TO FIX MY VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WHO IS WANTING TO CHARGE ME $500 TO REPLACE THE SHIFTER CABLE. I HAVE SPOKE WITH FORDS CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AT THIS TIME.
I WAS GETTING READY TO LEAVE MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT IN THE PARKING LOT AND I TRIED TO PUT MY CAR IN DRIVE BUT THE GEAR SHIFT WAS NOT REGISTERING. GEAR SHIFT INSIDE THE CAR SAID DRIVE BUT MY CAR WAS STILL IN PARK. LATER FOUND OUT AFTER I DID SOME INSPECTING THAT THE SHIFT CABLE BUSHING HAD POP OFF, AND THAT'S WHY I WASN'T ABLE TO MOVE MY CAR

ON ONE OCCASION, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE OUT OF PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT AT THE SCENE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED AN UNKNOWN DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT A REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND SUGGESTED TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
LAST WEEK I PULLED INTO WORK PUT MY CAR INTO PARK LET UP ON THE BRAKE AND THE CAR KEPT MOVING FORWARD. I THEN PUSHED ON THE BRAKES AGAIN THINKING I DID SOMETHING WRONG LOOKED DOWN CAR WAS STILL IN PARK. LET OFF THE BRAKES AGAIN AND THE CAR CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO A SHOP WHERE THEY FOUND THAT A PIECE ON THE SHIFTER LINKAGE HAD BROKE BUT IT WAS PART OF A FULL ASSEMBLY. THEREFORE WITH LABOR AND THE PART IT WAS ALMOST $500 TO REPAIR. MY CONCERN WAS I ALMOST HIT OUR COMPANY FENCE! I HAVE POURED THROUGH OTHER RECALLS AND CAME ACROSS THIS SAME ISSUE. BUT YOU CONTINUE TO SAY THAT MY CAR WAS NOT EFFECTED IN THE RECALL.
VEHICLE IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS WHEN VEHICLE BEGAN TO STUTTER, NOT ACCELERATE AND STALL THEN SHUT DOWN. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND GOES OFF RANDOMLY THROWING CODE P2111 FOR THROTTLE BODY BEING STUCK OPEN. HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING.

I'M NOT SURE OF THE EXACT WORDS BECAUSE WHENEVER IT DOES IT I'M LOOKING TO GET TO THE FAR RIGHT LANE SO I CAN COME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY TO COME TO A STOP, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, TURN IT OFF THEN TURN IT BACK ON. IT'S SO DANGEROUS TO HAVE THE CAR LOSE ALL POWER GOING 70 MPH. I REALLY THINK SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ON THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. THIS HAS HAPPENED PROBABLY 5 DIFFERENT TIMES IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS. I DON'T HAVE THE EXACT DATES WHEN IT'S HAPPENED BUT THE LAST TIME IT DID I WAS TRAVELING IN KANSAS CITY AND THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO CAUSE A LARGE ACCIDENT TRYING TO GET MY CAR OVER TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT POWER.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING, THE ACCELERATOR NEEDED TO BE DEPRESSED WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL PRESSURE VALVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHEN I GET IN MY CAR SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T START THE FIRST TIME I TURN THE KEY
I WENT TO PUT MY VEHICLE IN PARK AND UPON TURNING OFF THE CAR IT BEGAN TO ROLL FORWARD WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE WHEN EXITING THE CAR. HAD TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED HOME AND WILL NEED TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE BACK IN MAY 2018. THE CAR HAS 83,000 MILES.
WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE IT WILL SHAKE AND STALL AND THEN CUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING AND I'LL HAVE TO PUT IT IN PARK AND THEN IT WILL START RIGHT BACK UP. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY SINCE IT DOESN'T WARN YOU. IT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING ANYWHERE, ON HIGHWAY OR STREET.
THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM WHICH HAS NOW HAPPENED 4 TIMES. THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM GOES DOWN. THE DASH GOES DARK, THE A/C DOES NOT WORK, THE TURN SIGNALS DON'T WORK, THE DOORS AND WINDOWS WILL NOT WORK AND I CANNOT EVEN GET OUT OF THE CAR. I BOUGHT THE CAR AT RACEWAY FORD IN HARTSVILLE, SC, WHERE I RESIDED, IN MARCH OF 2016. I FIRST HAD TROUBLE WITH IT IN JUNE, 2016 AND TOOK IT IN. THE AGAIN IN DECEMBER, 2016 AND JANUARY, 2018. I HAVE SINCE MOVED TO DES MOINES, IA AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN IN JULY, 2019. THE CAR HAS LESS THEN 19,000 MILES AND I FEEL VERY DANGEROUS. I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO AVOID REVERSING DOWN THE HILL INTO THE TREE AT THE BOTTOM.I THEN TURNED THE CAR OFF TO SEE IF THAT WILL ASSIST BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE DASHBOARD CONTINUOUSLY FLASHED TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK! I CONTACTED FORD WHICH STATED THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE CAR AND TO BRING IT IN. I CALLED FORD TOWING FOR A TOW TRUCK AT 11 AM AND WAS NOT PICKED UP UNTIL 7 PM BY THE TIME I REACHED THE DEALER THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED. THE NEXT MORNING THE MECHANIC REACHED OUT TO ME AND STATED HE WAS GOING TO BE ABLE TO FIX THE ISSUE AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! WHICH NONE OF THE PROBLEMS STEMMING FROM THE CAR WAS FROM SOMETHING I DID I DO NOT FEEL AS THOUGH I SHOULD PAY ESPECIALLY WHEN I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER STATING THE EXPENSES WILL BE COVERED WHEN THE PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE FROM FORD AND SHE TOLD ME TO NOT PAY ANYTHING TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN APPROVED. YES THEY GAVE ME A LONER FOR THE TIME BEING BUT IT FRUSTRATES ME THAT I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS AND KEEP GETTING THE RUN AROUND ON MY VEHICLE. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START CAR, IT CLICKS BUT WILL NOT START. I HAD ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE BOOT BATTERY AND GOT THE CAR TO START, I TOOK THE CAR TO AUTO ZONE TO TEST BATTERY THEY SAID BATTERY IS GOOD. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OF STARTING MY CAR AND SHIFTING TO PARK IT FINALLY DOES POWER ALL THE WAY OFF.

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AS PREVIOUS PEOPLE. MY CAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME JULY 5, 2019 WITH THE CODE P0302 CYLINDER 2 MISFILE. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP JULY 8TH 2019 AFTER 2 WEEKS OF BEING UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG THEY CALL AND TELL ME I NEED TO PAY $3,340 TO REPLACE THE HEAD GASKET BECAUSE IT WAS BLOWN. I TOWED MY CAR TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THAT WOULD FIX THE HEAD GASKET FOR HALF THE PRICE. ONCE IT WS THERE THE MECHANIC SAID THE HEAD GASKET WAS FINE AFTER $1,500 OF PARTS BEING REPLACED MY CAR STILL WOULDN'T RUN. I CONTACTED FORD CORPORATE FOR ASSISTANCE ON GETTING THE PROBLEM FIXED. MY CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO BOB TOMES FORD THE ORIGINAL DEALER THAT SAID THE HEAD GASKET WAS BLOWN. THEY STILL INSISTED IT WAS THE HEAD GASKET AND CONTINUED TO ARGUE. ONCE CORPORATE CONTACTED THEM AND PAID FOR THE TEAR DOWN OF THE VEHICLE I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A WHOLE NEW ENGINE BECAUSE COOLANT LEAKING INTO THE CYLINDER. AFTER SPEAKING WITH OTHER DEALERSHIPS I WAS INFORMED THAT MY ENGINE IN MY FUSION HAS A DESIGN DEFECT CAUSING COOLANT TO LEAK INTO THE CYLINDER FORD IS AWARE OF THE DESIGN DEFECT AND CORRECTED THE DESIGN IN LATE 2017. HOWEVER THEY REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGES ON MY CAR. MY CAR IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY ANY LONGER SO THE COST OF THE REPAIR WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER $9,000 OUT OF POCKET. FORD HAS AGREED TO HELP ASSIST WITH THE COST SINCE I HAVE DONE MY RESEARCH AND PROVEN THE PROBLEM IS A DESIGN FLAW BY FORD. I WAS TOLD 3 WEEKS AGO THAT THE ENGINES ARE ON BACK ORDER AND WOULD TAKE 5 WEEKS TO COME IN. I RECEIVED A CALL YESTERDAY THAT INFORMED ME I AM NOW LOOKING AT DECEMBER 29TH BEFORE I CAN EVEN GET THE ENGINE IN AND THAT'S NOT EVEN A SET DATE COULD BE LONGER.. FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THIS ISSUE AND STOP SCREWING THEIR CUSTOMERS OVER SINCE IT'S A DESIGN FLAW THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM. ITS BEEN ALMOST 6 MONTHS I STILL DONT HAVE MY CAR
